"I am sorry," she heard, and Drako shook her head.
"There's nothing to be sorry for. Deny your nature, and you suffer the loss." She smiled weakly, not knowing what to say.
"Well... The fruit you brought, shall we enjoy it together?" Drakonna suggested it timidly, not sure if it would suffice to pass the time.

"I make excellent fruit pies," She mumbled, apple juice running down her chin as she chewed. "I shall make you one. Which do you prefer: apple, peach, or blueberry?"
She babbled to fill the space between them.
She did not know the pain this beauty had suffered, and felt spoiled compared to her. She wanted to make it up to her somehow.
She thought a moment, playing with her braid.
"Also, do you like swimming?" She smiled mischievously. "I know of a lake. Legend says if you swim in it nude, you are granted a wish."
She waited a moment before she added:
"And I dearly wish to be by your side for a long while."

Drako took the peach with a wide smile, nodding her thanks as she bit into the fruit. Her expectations were limited to nothing, really; she had never tried the fruit, and did not want to spoil it with a guess as to what it would taste like.
As she bit into it, the taste made her grin, gently licking her lips to keep the juice from spilling down her own chin.
"I shall make you one. Which do you prefer: apple, peach, or blueberry?"
Drakonna did not know how to suggest the idea that she had not tried any of the fruits... "I do love this fruit I am eating. It's been so long, I'm not sure what to call it..." She trailed off with an unsure shrug. "My thanks. A pie would be a lovely gift."
Does that sound too...pompous? I don't want to be full of myself...
"Also, do you like swimming?"
Well, there's an...underground lake, here in the castle. I remember my sister used to swim in it, but I can't remember ever swimming myself... Strange.
"I've never been. Light bless me, I've never done anything." She whispered it, and looked up at Lillian, eyes shining softly. "And bleed me if I don't know this... Lillian, I'm not sure how you feel. And I'm confused myself. But... I feel as if I... I..."
She felt herself beginning to blush, and turned away. Drakonna had never said the words before, to where she meant them.
I think I like you... I think I love you... Everything's spinning, and I don't know where this is going.
Surely I am fooling myself...she couldn't possibly mean....could she?
"As if what?" She probed.
Ghost turned her head away, blushing.
She gently took her chin into her hand, turning her face back to hers.
"As if what?" She whispered softly, her apple-scented breath gracing Ghost's lips.
She stared at the dewy-eyed damsel, her cheeks light pink, her gloriously white locks illuminating her features.
