Warriors of a World

Warriors of a World

Warriors from every country in the island continent of Dalaris gather together in times of peace to share their knowledge and work to keep the peace going as long as possible.

3,541 readers have visited Warriors of a World since Blacklight1991 created it.

Introduction

Hello everyone and Welcome! Here's a bit about Dalaris:

It's actually two continents, one smaller than the other, with a total of six countries and dozens of different cultures. I am limiting this roleplay to four players, so obviously not all of these are going to be used, but multiple characters are encouraged.

Regarding technology: I don't mind computers, or machines, but there will be no modern weapons. Blades, staffs, magic, hand-to-hand, anything but guns. Also, on the island, there is no internet, cable, or any connectivity with the outside world. There are two televisions, and they are only set up for movies. There is electricity, but only inside the house, and there are no motorized boats allowed on the island. Of course, there is indoor plumbing, so I'm not sending everyone back to the pioneer days, but please respect these limits on technology, and remember that batteries DO run out.

The situation:

Dalaris has endured generations of war and has finally settled. This new peace, however, is tenuous. Countries and cultures were so segregated, so set against each other, that treaties and agreements have been difficult to maintain. To keep war from breaking out again, the leaders of each country have decided to send their top people from each major field: Education, Engineering/Construction, Merchant, Magic, and Military. The purpose is to promote understanding. No one in these groups are allowed to kill each other, or leave their assigned places unless an emergency requires their specialty.

Each group is sent to the central island, and a house is assigned to each group. The houses are spread apart, and it is a large island, but by no means is one group prevented from encountering another.

This RP is focused on the Military group, where highly skilled fighters were chosen from different disciplines. There will be four players, multiple characters are encouraged, but each character must be approved separately.

ADDED NOTE: If one player has two separate characters that are in different places, the player can choose to post those characters separately.

Countries:

1) Aralissya--Blacklight1991

2) Canifis--Enkisama

3) Nijole--Enkisama

4) Nareese--Blacklight1991

5) Artemidoros--Enkisama

6) Egnorda--Oborosen

Player 1) Blacklight1991
Characters: River, Narik'ta, Salvia, Rory Geisten, Valium, Zaurillis

Player 2) Open
Characters:

Player 3) Enkisama
Characters: Rashad and Anya Anais, Sarka Ni'ra, Elyshia Paleheart

Player 4) Oborosen
Characters: Keizer Shosolas, Cain Ashenrov

Your Character Sheet:

Name of Country: (You don't need to know everything about it yet, just the name and a short synopsis)
Name of Character: (Make it pronounceable. This can be a nickname, or a tag if your character likes to be mysterious.)
Physical Description: (No pictures please. If it helps you keep things straight, keep a picture in your own files)
Personality: (This is not to be used IC by anyone. It is purely so that I can understand if your character has enough to them.)
Weapon of Choice: (No modern weapons unless approved)
Other weapons:
General Demeanor: (How does your character move based on his/her fighting style. Quick and bouncy, slow and purposeful? Give a little detail here.)
Other Hobbies and Interests: (This can be knitting, fishing, philosophy, whatever. People are more than just their occupation.)
Background: (Again, not to be used IC unless you reveal it IC. Just need to know it’s being thought through.)

Background is changeable. As characters develop, you may find that something in their background doesn’t work, or needs tweaked a little bit. Please edit your character information when this happens.
Personality can be added to, but once something’s on there, please don’t take it off unless you really need to.
Weapons, even Weapons of Choice (WOC), can be changed. As your warrior encounters different styles and weapons, he/she may find one more suited to him/her. The same goes with the way your character moves. If you’re learning a new discipline of fighting, or your character behaves differently once they’re familiar with the situation, etc. For Weapons and movement, don’t delete this information from your profile. Just underline it, put it in parentheses, or otherwise let us know it’s old before adding the new information in normal font.

Add specifications to your character sheet if you want to, and submit! Once accepted, the only real thing to do is have fun an keep it real!

Toggle Rules

1) Okay, and this one should be obvious: NO GODMODDING.

2) I am going to take rule number one a step further. This is a roleplay involving experienced warriors, fighters of every nation. However: I do not allow guns or any weapon that requires gunpowder, explosives, or modern technology. Blades of any kind, psychic powers (be reasonable), hand-to-hand combat, blunt weapons, etc. are allowed. If you have any questions, PM me. You should get a response fairly quickly.

3) Your character cannot be unbeatable. I don't require that you post your character's weaknesses in the profile, but you will have to know them or figure them out as your character develops.

4) I reserve the right to ban anyone from this roleplay. The only reasons I will do this are:
1, Attacking other players Out Of Character (OOC)
2, continuously breaking the first three rules, which all say the same thing,
3, if you don't post for a long time, you will be given the boot. If you know you won't be able to return, either make your character go somewhere or post it in the OOC to let us know. If your character is in the middle of the action, you MUST take him/her out of it before an absence, otherwise everyone else will have to ignore your character, which doesn't work well for the overall roleplay. There are only going to be three of us, so we might be able to put the RP on pause, but if it's paused too long because of one person that person will be asked to leave. Again, sorry, but I'm not letting the RP die because one person stopped. If this happens, I will kill off, remove, or take over that player's characters and look for a new player.
and 3, Since this is a character driven roleplay, I do get frustrated with people that can't keep their characters straight. I understand that new ideas come and ideas are revised, but once you decide your character is a grumpy, black-haired man that wields a short sword and hates psychics, he stays a grumpy, black-haired man that wields a short sword and hates psychics. This can only be changed through some event that happens In Character (IC).

Of course, if you're getting close to pushing one of these buttons, I will let you know far in advance.

5) The main purpose of this roleplay is a character building exercise. There isn't really any big bad guy to defeat. There isn't a specific plotline, just a backstory and we work from there. Plot will develop as our characters interact, any World problems will be added later.

6) Not really a rule, just saying that I'm not a babysitter. I expect everyone to behave, and if there are any issues between players, only come to me if you've already tried working it out between yourselves.

7) Metagaming is encouraged. If you want your character to have met another beforehand, contact that player OOC or with a PM and work it out. With people, there are always clicks and groups that grow together, people who have met before (sometimes under less than ideal circumstances) and sparks/intrigue does fly around. If you want to plot with one player to prank another, or work out a plan for chores. I would like to be notified if anyone is planning any drastic decisions, such as creating a main villain, altering the World circumstances, big things like that.

8) Make a note or something that this RP will be played according the the schedules of the players. So far, it looks like weekends are good. I'll change this if weekdays open up.

9) On Post Length: Keep it descriptive. I don't like to see one-liners unless there's a lot of dialogue and you have to wait for another character to respond.

10) Please, and I mean PLEASE, send me a PM if I break any of my own rules. Write it in all caps, underlined and bold. And don't hesitate to PM me or post in the OOC about metagaming, questions on the RP, or just to ask what the hell's going on.

Rashad wrinkled his nose when he watched the man pull until Keizer's arm grotesquely came off from his own body. It was a surprise to him that Sarka had not come out to stop Cain, or offer her natural healing abilities to bring a little less pain to the man she was clinging onto the past couple of days. He listened to Cain as he explained the situation. A dying breed of solider? It was as if Keizer was made and not born, at least the way Cain put everything. "Is there a way to change that?" he asked, taking on a question the little fae would have probably come up with. "I mean, if he is going to help us take down Elyshia, it would be a shame to see him dying through the whole process."

Hearing in he distance what sounded like flesh tearing and bones breaking, Anya took a step toward Sarka. But when she did a root for a near by tree snapped up, causing the larger woman to stumble. It was a odd sight to see the root wrap around Sarka protectively. "What happened back there, you are actually completely different, Sarka." She demanded, not happy with the way she was treated by the fae.

Midnight-blue eyes turned toward Anya, and Sarka took in a soft breath before speaking. "I suggest you step back, elf. Mind yourself, because in the end you are nothing more than a pumped up human who thinks she can fight. And I won't hesitate for a moment to remove you from this group. Now... go." Her eyes narrowed, a small grin appearing on her face as she finished.

Keizer Shosolas

Keizer makes some effort to correct himself as Cain moves away passing Rashad, giving a glance at Valium and River as he turns to head back towards the house.
He holds out the stump of his arm and slowly begins to recite a small prayer with his breath and with each beat of his heart, the spilled life began to pulse as it moved back towards him. The puddled that formed was now trickling up back towards the wound as if it where rain flowing in reverse. The wound slowly began to seal itself as not to let him loose anymore vital fluids, but there is still a strange reaction there in him as a green mist still lightly hazes from the wounds edge.

His breath settles to a crawl as he settles his frame.. "Its the way he says it Rashad.. one day this power is going to kill me, or maim me. Either way I will end my service to the queen with all the reserve and zeal my position is capable of." He breaths deeply as he stands and arches back, a small red line escaping the side of his lips.
He tried not to waste any time what so ever as he began to make his path past the others heading behind Cain.

"I know the recent events have been hectic but I am in dire need of rest at the moment." Despite the fact that everthing has transpired he only manages to give a strange glance at Sarka in her current state. His mind puzzles the moment away as he continues to step.

"Sarka.. I will have the item we spoke of in my quarters with me."

He could tell in his mind that there was something very wrong at work here. But trying to keep his composure he sets his stride back toward the house with Cain several feet ahead.

Anya gave the other's a strange look as she continued to keep herself positioned next to the fae and her new root of protection. Something was different, and it was beginning to worry her that the fae was hurt in some way. Perhaps she saw a vision she was not reporting to the others, or perhaps Elyshia had really said something to her. Either way, the behavior was not in Anya's favor. Her attention averted toward Cain and Keizer as they headed back into the house. It was strange, everything that had happened to the grey-headed man she adored only moments before the events that conspired.

He spoke to Sarka, though it seemed that he too thought something was wrong, but his injury, tiredness, and need for rest was more important than Sarka's strange behavior. Her thoughts lingered on the 'object' that Keizer had promised to have. This intrigued the elf and it made her curious to find out what this object was, even though it was between the fae and warrior.

Keizer... Sarka's thoughts lingered on him for only a moment, her midnight eyes becoming soft and slightly dazzled as if the full moon transpired above in the sky. The root began to move around her, comforting her in a way most people would snuggle into a blanket. Her heart began to flutter with confusion, though Elyshia's words and Keizer's reasurance lingered in her mind. Was Cain right? Would Keizer eventually disappoint her, or harm her in some way? Her thoughts were pushed away once more as a slight glint of red flashed over her blue eyes before she stood. There is no time for this now... Sarka... you know what happens next. The thoughts came over as if just pushing her former thoughts away.

"Keizie," the root slithered away, hiding back in the ground before the girl floated up to her feet and moved after him. Anya was startled. Was the girl bipolar? It was so strange. Soon the fae had her hands tangled around the warrior's good arm and her cheek nuzzled into the same arm. "I'm sorry, the woman's words just... gave me a lot to think about. Does your arm hurt?" she asked.

When they were closer to the house Anya and Rashad stared at River and Valium. "Is she really that bipolar?" Anya asked.

"I have seen it happen before," Valium said, with a sideways glance at River, who was rubbing his arm as he walked. The vampire chuckled, still keeping to the shade.

"Don't laugh, that's painful," River said, frowning at Valium.

Rory made his way to the opening in the wall, pulling a small wagon of raw materials with him. Carefully and with gentle, masterly care, he began using magic to again repair the wall that had been torn down.

"Waste of energy doing it like that," River said as they passed through the doorway, but didn't make a move to stop or help the mage.

"Waste of energy, drawing a picture when it can easily be taken with a camera," Rory replied, voice soft with concentration.

River smiled, then poured himself a tall glass of milk before tossing a pebble from the rubble at Keiser's uninjured shoulder. "Talk later slowpoke?" he said. "I'll catch breakfast."

Keizer Shosolas

Keizer was still in pain from the recent severance of his arm.
Sarka's help was always welcome in his eyes but he still had some issues about the issue that Cain was going to bring with this whole incident. He was enjoying all of this too much for someone in his position and he was most definitely going to try and twist this too his own benefit if possible.

Keizer leans his head in next too Sarka's and he looks to her.. "Thank you for the care, I will be fine after I get some rest and have the chance to get my arm back." He says with a wonton sigh as he moves the stump forward into his view.
By this time he and Sarka had entered the building once more with Cain already ahead of them, Keizer managed to move himself away and back into one of the larger chairs. He allowed room for Sarka to move around him and within the arch of his form so he would not sit himself on her.
He just sat there with his head laid back in the spot and he could just drift off into sleep if he had the real chance, but for a moment he could only fight it and then he was gone.

Cain just sat himself behind the bar and started sliding bottles down the line and racking them up in front of himself.

Sarka's midnight gaze followed Keizer's every move until he settled down into the large chair and leaned his head back. When she knew that he was most comfortable, the young woman climbed up into his lap and snuggled into his good arm, making sure not to put any pressure onto the old one. Her eyes fluttered shut while she thought up of the image of his old arm and filtered her healing power into him, it helped heal the wound a bit faster and produced a new set of muscles that began to crawl out of him like vines to form his arm. When it was finished the new flesh was still bright pink and raw so using it so soon would have caused Keizer a bit of pain, but in a set hour or so the skin would settle and become working again.

"You really are a little healing child," Rashad said, after him and Anya arrived. The dark haired princess moved over to the kitchen closest to Cain, though said not a word a she searched the contents before pulling out a small package of fried worms and began munching on them.

"Nature is my calling, anything that can be healed or recreated I can help." Sarka said softly, her voice flowing through the room with ease. "Though each fae's natural ability is to heal those around them, they are gifted with an unnatural power as well. Mine, of course, is to see the near future." But when she said this her grin became a frown as she snuggled closer to Keizer. She knew her power had helped her much in the past, but she had only had two visions since coming to the island, and it bothered her.

River slid his eyes to Sarka. "Have those visions often?" he asked, pulling out a thin white tube from his back pants pocket and lighting it on the stove. The cigarette flared and he stayed next to the door so the wind would take the smoke out of the house.

Valium watched his actions with a frown and took the tobacco filled paper away. "Hey," River snatched it back. "I don't get my ass kicked often, you know."

"Perhaps if you did you'd learn more techniques with those runes of yours," Rory murmured, still focused on the half repaired wall.

"It is not the runes I worry about," Valium said as River took another drag.

"Don't worry about me," River said on exhale, putting the cig out on the palm of his hand. The pain made him wince, but since he'd only taken two breaths of smoke, the rest of the cigarette went into the trash can. "What do we do when she comes back?"

"Fight, we do," Narik'ta said simply. River rolled his eyes to the ceiling and sighed.

Valium looked to him, then the rest of the group. "River is right on this. We need at least the beginnings of a plan. We know she can use the golems and elements. Sarka, did you see anything else in your vision?"

Keizer Shosolas

Keizer leaned forward when Sarka's powers began to work on him, though he didn't think it was required since his body would replace the limb later in the day. He was happy that she was back with the group and not brooding somewhere in some fashion as before.
His arm was back and the skin was now slightly off color, and despite how it felt there was a tightness to how the flesh felt as well. But in the end it was something that he was not unfamiliar with after all. He smiled at her as best his tired expression could manage as he returned to laying back in the chair closing his eyes. "Give me an hour or so.. I should be fine then."
Keizer could feel his mind slowly draw away from the rest of the word as he began to lose consciousness and reserve himself to dreams.

Cain on the other hand was allocating himself quite well behind the bar as he began to rifle through the bottles below the counter. ~Wine, Scotch, Liquor or all sorts... ah Sileznian Brandy~ He pops the top of the bottle with a small twist of his wrist and brings it to what would otherwise be his nose. ~(Sniff)mmm.. Doubled distilled and bottled seventy five years ago.. my favorite.~ His tongue danced out from between his pearl white teeth as he smiled with approval of his find.

He poured a small glass and left the bottle by his hands as he quickly took a deep swig and returned it to the counter top.. ~If you want my opinion there is more to this then either of us know at the moment.~ He says as the glass makes contact with the wood finish ~The creature has all that power and yet she refrains from destroying all of us or even a small section of the island. Either we have something that she wants or whatever there is to be found here she hasn't caught sight of yet.~
He interrupts himself for a moment when he takes another swig of his drink and begins to pour another glass after finishing the first. ~But I do understand the need to dispose of her as quick as possible, so believe me when I say I'd rather send her back to my laboratory in a small jar. But we still must get her to fully come at us as to keep her from fully retreating.~

Valium nodded and began to pace the room a little, his long legs taking shorter steps between the foyer and the couch. "Weapons, power, ties to powerful people in governments, we all have these. If she wished to begin the Wars all that would be needed was to kill us before we could send..."

"The liesons send messages every hour or so," Rory replied. "Our countries have already been notified of the situation and are probably working at the council table now."

"Probably?" Valium said.

"I have no way of knowing. We can only send messages out," Rory replied, sounding resigned.

River tossed the cigarette into a small waste basket with a flick of his fingers and a small look of disgust. Blonde was beginning to show at his roots. Just enough to see. He walked over next to Cain and turned on the faucet for a moment, letting cold water run before dipping his finger into it and tracing little runes over his left shoulder. The water stuck to his skin like glue and merged together, keeping the sigil forms as it blended. He traced the same design over the right shoulder and his scrapes began to heal slowly. Then he splashed water over his head, slicking his hair back to reveal a small scar on his forehead, just below his hairline, testament that Keiser hadn't quite missed. Once the dousing was complete, and his hair stayed wet just like the symbols on his shoulders, he pulled a bottle from the refridgerator and unsealed the top, letting the smell of fresh watermelon drift across Cain's alcohol.

Sarka, having heard everyone earlier, began to relax when she felt Keizer losing himself to a healing slumber. She situated herself in his lap and folded her delicate hands over her knees. Cain was correct, riding themselves of the pest would be the best option for their situation, but doing this would be hard. Sending her to a lab would be interesting, she had to agree, but the girl was created in one and destroyed it without hesitation, this much she knew from her visions. Then it registered that someone had asked a question that was once directed at her.

Pushing blond hair over her shoulder she turned her attention to the room, keeping her back firm against Keizer's chest. "I saw a black silhouette. It as able to move quickly and mocked me as it drug me deeper into my own power. I could feel her drawing my power away from me into herself as she learned it. I saw Keizer and her fight, his flames trying to consume her, but her water dancing about untouched. Eventually, she won the battle, he faltered, fell, and died. I saw it happen to each of us. Some of us were coupled up, together trying to fight as a team, but she caught eye of our moves, learned them and countered. I was frightened."

Her eyes then turned to Cain. "But at that time we knew nothing of you. She did not even know of your existence on the island. She was drawing off of my own memories of those around me, those I already knew and those I was observantly watching. So she showed me those deaths. But she never showed me yours. And last she was in my head she showed fear. Fear that you would notice her weaknesses. Which is why she runs." Then she glances at everyone and stares at River. "As for what she wants... it seems like she wants the war again, but there is someone here who has a power, something that she can use to her advantage, to that I have no knowledge of though. For there, I'm in the dark."

Keizer Shosolas

Keizer could feel his mind drift far and away from the rest of the groups worried conversation.
His mind and body had both been strained even before he arrived to the island in the first place and he could honestly tell that this is the first he's slept in days. Not that the luxury of sleep managed to escape him all that time, its just that sleeping brought dreams he could rather do without. But of all things that where to be found in his mind there was something more devastating to him then the prospect of nightmares.
He did his best to keep his mind clear as he could feel the haze of thought lift from him and he was now within his own inner world. A plane that existed within his mind as a safe haven for the matter of protecting himself from some form of mental shock. It was here that he would usually reserve himself too when he meditated on the workings of reality and the occurrences of the day.

But here was the place he kept secrets locked and stored in the hopes of never looking upon them again.
This section of his mind was a cold stone world which was a signifier of his outer calm in the face of contradiction. It was a platform atop a massive obelisk with small clouds of thought that moved outside the rail of the platform itself. But on one side of this obelisk there was a door, large in scope and with no back or hinges. It rested on the very edge of the platform and gave a foreboding presents as if its very being got under your very skin. Its large brass frame is stylized to show intense craftsmanship went into its making and no handles are to be seen on either side.

Keizer sat himself in the center of the stone floor as the outside edges of the circled platform seemed to press in on him. His attention was solely fixed on the door before him and he could not tear away from it.
Knowing full well what sat behind this door as he was the one who put it there in a desperate bid to shut a part of himself away long ago. Though the thing behind it was a sure promise of power for him, it was a power he did not want nor was it a power he could easily use. So he sits and waits for his body to rest and hopefully he will be back with the others soon.

* * * *

(To her advantage) Cain thought to himself.
He couldn't really understand if such an aspect was possible for her, seeing as she has only been able to mimic the power that they use. Keizer's abilities are those of a holy man and when she copied his aqua mirror her power failed to emanate the same resonance that ability normally cast off. Cain smirks a bit as he pops the top back on the bottle of brandy and slides it down the counter towards the corner. ~Well I believe we could capture her if we can get her to show up again and it will only need a small portion of preparation and minimal collateral damage to the island. However I will need someone to act as bait for this to work.~ He says with a large grin beginning to form on his face and ringing his fingers in a slow turgid motion.

"She's just copying us, so we should be able to use our powers at least once before she parrots them," River said. "And the things that require knowledge of a language shouldn't be accessible at all, like my runes." He smiled. "Using a language that has been dead for a few millennia does have its advantages. She'd have to find out which one it is and even then there's only five people, all friends of mine, that can translate it."

"That's good, I suppose," Valium said. "Your mental shields are impeccable..."

"And to shift into animal, she cannot," Narik'ta said. "Requires the blood, this does, and taste it on her, I did not."

"I didn't smell it either," River agreed, picking the scab off the burn mark in his palm and focusing on it until it closed without a scar. "So she's not a shifter..." he murmured, concentration still on the tiny wound.

"Not your kind, anyway," Valium said. "Does anyone else have an inkling of what she is? Even an obscure name would give us a place to start." he was mostly looking at Sarka, but anyone who had an idea would be nice.

Rashad managed to weasel himself into a chair in the room around the others who were speaking. His emerald eyes stayed on his sister Anya as she moved through the room with a motion much like pacing. Her powers, he knew, would be easy to copy unlike what the other's were talking about, but his own command over spirits would be difficult to mock as well, or so he hoped. Even having control over drago's as he did with the tattoos would be something of a hassle for the woman unless she tamed and killed one herself. But as for what she was? He could not tell anyone, he was still trying to figure out what River and the others were completely, and he could tell by the way his sister was pacing that she had no idea what to say to the group either.

Sarka only turned her head away from River and the vampire, not interested in answering their question. Why should she anyway? She had no idea what the woman was. The last she remembered from the glimps of the girl's own personal history was a makeshift model in a scientists lab. Her attention turned to Cain. Behind his wicked eyes she could sense a plan, and the fae was curious. "Bait... for a creature that was made by man?" she stated, slightly answering the other's questions as she spoke. It was all the information she had on the woman at the time. "What would be required of such bait?" she asked, fumbling across the chair a bit and out of Keizer's lap as she swayed closer to the demon.

Cain Ashenrov

Cain's face perks up when he hears Sarka's question, in truth her involvement was not the most paramount of his plan but she did have a part. He looked at her with a distinct look of finality to his features that could show his option for this.
He smiled but from his throat came a slightly audible noise most akin to the purr of a large cat, and as he glanced back and forth on the surface of the counter he began to gather several glasses as he went.
~Far be it from me to know this but there is a place on this island where many of the most prominent members of the mages society gather once a year to pool their knowledge and power.~ As he spoke he began arranging five of the glasses into a large circular formation on the counter ~Though the field in which this takes place has many names among the islands people I will simply call it Ingram for the time being.~ He gives a slight wave of his hand and passes it over the construction of glasses to create a brimming turquoise light that arcs between them and creates a sharply formed pentacle.

~Now I will spend the better part of my day preparing the field for completion of the spell and my incantations must not be interrupted under any circumstances.~
He takes his bottle and finally lays it to rest in the very center of the collection of glasses. ~I would like her to be within this area when the spell is complete.~ with a quick snap of his fingers the light jumps from the edges of the glasses and follows up towards the top of the bottle creating a triangular canopy in the center of the pentacle. In the mix of colors the bottle just disappears from view and is replaced by a large red crystal. ~This spell is a special make of my own and it will serve in capturing her and even if she tries to escape it will destroy her in the process. Even if it does destroy most of her body I would rather have her done with then running around anymore if I have any say in the matter.~

His eyes the gaze back towards the others and it switches between Sarka and Keizer. ~But I guess at this point my suggestion for bait would be obvious. However I do need the others to run support when she shows up.. and that means the rest of you.~

River frowned. He had heard of no such field, and surely the council members would have had it cleared out before appointing the island as a council seat, but the mages assigned to the task may not have cleared out all of the energies... Then something a friend had once explained came to mind. "Even if the energy isn't there anymore and they've cleared it out, which they should have," he said aloud, "The impressions should still be there, so depending on how far the spell itself needs to go, it might work. We'd need to add energy to it, though. No way would any mage from Aralissya leave a power that big here for the taking."

"There's a small reservoir for the liesons," Rory said absently. "Not nearly enough to fill completely, but the mage's encampment is just a shout away."

"And we have plenty of energy here," River added. He looked over at Keizer and Sarka. "Think he'd be willing to do that again? I can probably syphon off a little of the leftover power so he isn't injured as badly."

"I would be of no help in gathering energy," Valium said, "so I will volunteer for bait or battle in this affair."

"Blood is power, Valium," River said. "Not power I care to use, but power nonetheless. And the more kinds we put into this, the less likely it is that she'll be able to counter all of them."

The silver in Valium's eyes shone with a light of their own for a moment as he stared at River. "And who is to volunteer?" he asked.

"You get your wish, now shut up about it before I make sure you're in bed recovering before she even gets here." River said without inflection.

"Rashad knows how to channel my power. Which means I don't need to be with you all to help pool the magic." Anya stated, gently pulling herself up on the counter so that she was sitting down now instead of standing. "I've got a type of magic I haven't used in a while that could possibly locate the woman and bring her to the locate that we are thinking of using for her trap." Her sapphire eyes spun around the room taking in everyone. "And being quick and agile has always been my best qualities, so I could easily maneuver her back to your location," her final gaze landed on Cain.

The fae fell quiet. She stared at the rest of the group with her midnight-blue gaze while she silently thought through the plan that had been put out on the table. A soft frown came to her features as she shook her head. "You can't let Keizer do that again." She turned her attention to Cain. "You don't need him to... there has to be another way to take this person out without hurting him again." Sarka did not believe that Keizer would come out of this plan unscathed. She shook her head again, white hair falling in front of her oak like skin. "I don't like it."

Rashad shifted in his chair, his legs now crossed over one another as he leaned forward and opened his lovely green eyes. "Sarka. River said he would try to make it so that Keizer is not hurt this time, and as far as it sounds it may be the best option we have to removing a threat." He said in a soothing voice. "We have to trust that it will work because we are running short on ideas."

The girl fell quiet again, her body staying clam as she moved closer to Keizer and laid her head on his chest. She kept her eyes on Cain though, questioning the methods of this attack on the woman who had already proven to be a problem. There was just one problem with it all, and Sarka was not about to voice it without worry that the group would go at war with one another.

Cain Ashenrov

When Sarka voice her opinion on involving Keizer within his plan Cain merely scoffed in the back of his throat, only moving to wipe the top of his head with his left hand in slight contempt.
~Sarka~ He said with a overly aggressive tone to his voice ~Keizer is a servant of the of the queen and will do all that is commanded and required of him. I could order him to tear off one of his own arms and beat himself with it and do you know what he would do?... He would do just that with no question.~ He points over her shoulder at the unconscious man as he still lay there sleeping in the chair. ~I would never tell him this to his face but he is the most dependable soldier I have at my disposal and I will use him as I see fit.~ Cain leans back from the counter top as he gives Sarka a stern pinpoint eye of flame in opposition.

Cain just sighs slightly as he turns away for a quick moment and opens his coat as when he turns away from the group.
As he does the corner of the room starts to become devoid of light and dims greatly as a large amount of oily black smoke begins to billow outwards, staining the woodwork as it flows across the floor.
Within seconds however he closes his coat and turns back to the rest with something held tightly in his right hand.
It was a small box that seemed to be as reflective as polished steel, but within moments the glimmer was actually the fact that the box was cut from a large singular opal. Its black exterior only cut off by the golden disk like object on its top, which other then this part gave the box no other distinct feature. Cain ringed his hands over the boxes surface with a loving care like that of someone holding a child and sat it on the counter.
~My little pets here will make sure that I don't require help with the incantation, besides it would be far to dangerous to have anyone not of my blood nearby whist the spell commences.~
Cain goes back to rubbing the top of his box with a slight voice of pleasure..~Besides.. they don't like strangers~

* * * *

*Keizer could not tell how long he has been within this realm, his mind was at an unnatural peace with itself. His nature was beginning to return to normal as the platform he sat upon was beginning to change with his minds resolve. Small sections of the platform where changing to suit the element related to them.
Eventually the whole body of the platform was fully converged into the seven prime elements. Sections where roiling with the power of earth, fire, wind and water, while he was being circled by two orbs of light and dark. The one thing protecting him from torrent of power was a sphere of spiritual energy that slowly wafted away what ever came too close to him.
He sat and enjoyed the power that encased his mind in this fashion and slowly began to realize that he should return to reality before the others really need him*

Keizer exhaled once and the whole of the energy disappeared, evaporating out and away from his body as he began to stand. But for a moment he had an idea, realizing that Sarka would not be far from him seeing as that was the way he left her. He raised his hands high and called out to her, hopefully not trying to exert himself trying to reach her.
"Sarka" He called out to her, seeing as it would be far easier for her to enter his mind then him hers. However he could not entirely aim the message resulting only to broadcast it out from himself.

River listened to them, then stayed silent, nodding only once at Anya's volunteering to lead the woman on.

Valium glanced at the smaller man, but River was paying close attention to the black smoke and it was hard to tell if he was ignoring the vampire on purpose or just examining Cain's little portal. After a second, Valium looked to the others. "Backup plan. We need another trap in case the first does not work, and an escape route for if it all goes to South."

"I can claim the waters," River said, slightly distracted by the orb Cain was holding as he stared at it with the blue-black eyes of his other form. "Once they're mine, it will be very difficult for anyone else to work with them at all. All we'll have to do is get in the water and I can defend us very well there." A half smile quirked his lips. "The fishermen will get mad at me, but I can make it safe."

"And the energy to gather for the second trap?" Narik-ta asked.

"We can gather it from each of you and Laric (river) can use his runes," Rory said. "I'm no good at traps."

"No, but you are good with stone and wood," River said. "There's bedrock beneath us and trees all around. You could form that into a shield like she did, if we gave you sufficient energy, and I can add my runes to that." Then he caught the expression on Sarka's face. "There's just one thing..." He walked over to Sarka, eyes now the normal brown of his human form, and crouched to keep them at eye level. "It might be important, Sarka. Whatever you're not saying may be the thing that saves us all, that saves Keiser."

It was very faint on both end, or at least to the fae it was. She could hear Keizer calling to her mind asking for her power to enter his own. For what reason's she was not sure, but on the other end she heard River's voice asking her a question about information she contained deep down. For reason's unknown she was not able to answer him, instead she felt herself slipping away until she stood before Keizer in his own mind. Midnight blue eyes peered around from side to side for a moment before turning to look up at the larger man. Only once before had she been able to use her own powers to slide into someone else's head, but this time it seemed critical.

"Kiezer!" she panicked, her tiny arms swinging from side to side. "Everyone is in trouble... terrible trouble." Her head began to fill with so much information that she want to blurt it out at him before she started to feel dizzy. "So much trouble...." she stated again.

Anya stood, pushing away from the counter when she saw the slack in the fae's eyes, but that she still seemed mainly alert even with the slight distant look on her features. "Sarka?" she questioned before the fae turned her eyes to the woman and cocked her head to the side. "You alright."

"Yes..." she said simply, then shook her head slightly. "Keizer is calling out to me," she said quickly after that.

Cain Ashenrov

Cain looks past Valium just over the shoulder and see's Sarka there giving Keizer the puzzled look. His mind began to dance with the small amount of energy that the man was able to muster.
~It looks like our large friend is going to be all right so if none of you care I will move to..~ He raises a hand to the air for a moment and points his finger upwards like he was checking for the air and just as quickly lowers it back. ~The west so I can prepare the surprise..~

He eyes the group a moment before slipping the onyx box under his arm and then takes the bottle of brandy as well placing it under his opposite arm.
Then just like that his form is consumed in the same fashion as before when he took Keizer away and turns into a small slip stream of dark essence. Flying upwards and out towards a side window breaking the glass as he passed through, in such a manner that leaves little trails of dark liquid staining the counter and ceiling for a short period.

Rashad and Anya turned their attention to Cain, and watched as he left to set up the trap for the enemy. The elf took in a short breath before turning her attention back toward the fae who was still looking Keizer up and down. She her mind was still mainly focused on him, though her attention also returned to the group of people in the room from time to time.

With a little more focus the fae stood in Keizer’s mind once more, her midnight eyes staring at him for a long moment before she spoke once more. “Keizer…” it was nothing more than a whisper. His mind seemed so blank other than the two of them standing there. “Keizer we’re in so much trouble. They are setting up a trap and they don’t know…” her voice trailed off again. Her eyes went blank for another second and then she shook her head.

Keizer Shosolas

Keizer stood there in the midst of his mind and was aware of Sarka's attempts to return his call. But with the current instability of there was very little chance of her actually getting through to him.
So with a small wipe of his hand over the back of his hair he decided it was time to rejoin the others in the real world and began his meditative slide back to consciousness. But as his arms raised he could feel an all too familiar ominous pressure return to his mind and his attention soon returned to the door at the edge of his mind.
It was glowing with and intense emerald haze of energy which was only made more strange with the presence of what sounded like a large beating heart that made the energy pulse with each and every eery thump from behind the door.
Keizer could feel existed behind as it peered through the slight opening giving him a deep and dreadful stare, the only thing that he feared most of all. Something that he was pulled and forced into sealing within himself years ago and at every moment it would attempt exit with the laxness of his attention.

His sneer was returned as he drug a finger across the air towards the door and forced it closed as he had done time and time before.

Returning his state to that of his meditation Keizer could feel himself once more draw back to the world at hand.
The with a bright flash of the lights at his eyes Keizer blinks back to a rise with a steep breath in the back of his throat. Suddenly his eyes are pulled from one angle to another as he looked across the room for the others and his eyes where greeted with the visages of Sarka, Rashad, Anya and the likes of Valium.
River and Narik-ta where somewhat standing away from the rest but where just as enthralled in the moment.

He stands and stretches out his arms for a moment before heading up to the counter and grabbing a small glass bottle of water from under the edge. Drinking it down quickly before looking back giving a reassuring nod to the rest of the group.

"Seeing as he is gone I am to take it that Cain has left in search of his own goals?" He voices as he takes a small wipe of his mouth with his forearm.
"Listen no matter what he says do not completely trust him, whatever he is doing or going to do it will only serve his own goals." Keizer tosses the spent bottle into a waste basket and looks down to Sarka.
"And don't think for one moment that he doesn't know anything important.. someone like him always sees more then what he is letting on and believe me in the point that this fact has never proven safe in the past."

Anya sighed. "Well then we might want to get going then, because your friend decided to go make his own spell to trap the woman who has been terrorizing the island." She brushed her black hair behind her ears as she took her brother's hand. "When River offered his own help Cain refused." She added, not sure if that would be any clue for the larger man. Then she turned her gaze to Sarka who had not said a word since Keizer had woken. The elf thought that the young fae spirit would have cried out in joy to see the man wake, but instead she only watched him carefully.

"What do you think he is up to then? How would capturing the girl help him at all?" Rashad asked, moving around his younger sister so that he could see Keizer even better. He should have sent a spirit to follow the demon, like he had originally thought, but he figured the demon would have been able to sense the spirit and perhaps even capture or destroy it.

The fae turned her eyes away from the two siblings before returning her gaze to Keizer. "Keizer..." she said softly, her eyes had lost the certain glow that she had when she was around the warrior. With a soft smile she moved closer to his location and then sat down on a chair near him. "Cain is going to capture her like she did my people, isn't she?"

River looked up, sensing someone else had arrived on the island, and frowned slightly before moving away along with Narik'ta, Salvia and Valium.

"Newcomer," River announced, searching the area for signs of who this arrival was, but could find none. The energies of the area were too disturbed from their most recent fight. He stepped over to the hallway side of the entry room, looking out the front door of the newly repaired house, and waiting for this person to arrive.

Keizer Shosolas

Keizer looks down over Sarka as River blurts out his statement and heads out the door.
He began to worry about the little fae and for a moment he wanted to just lift his hand to lay it upon her to just assure her in the moment. But for the moment she was right, seeing as Cain was prone to such fancies he would most likely attempt something that would only benefit him.
Keizer's eyes where soon attracted to the bottles sitting on the counter aligned in such a fashion as Cain had left them and he began to speak to Sarka and the others as he turned back.
"I am afraid that is not the case in this point Sarka, for ones that Cain deems worthy he decides to lock them away in a more secure location. In other words he is going to use that Pandromica formation he so willing made over there to do something not used in years." He adjust his head for a moment and a deep pop emanates from his neck as he loosens the tension in his upper shoulders. "I believe he will attempt to confine her within himself.." his pause only is there to allow the others to take in and try to understand what he stated. Only continuing several seconds afterwards.
"The others he would normally just contain in cube of his making, but seeing her power and her mostly being a unwilling capture that would not work. Instead I think he's going to lock her away inside his own body where he can manage her himself." Keizer gives a quick shudder for a moment as thoughts run across his mind.

"Just seeing him from the outside one could imagine what such a being could possibly be like on the inside and that fate is something I would rather not try to understand. Even worse I feel for the ones already trapped within him... seeing as a decade ago he was the one responsible for Aralissya's two missing council members."
He could think less of the subject all he wished but that was not going to detract him from the current situation, as he proceeded to puck his weapon up off the floor and latch it back only his belt. However he does take the moment in mind to bring something up for the others to understand.
"One other thing I must tell you all is that the form you see when Cain is present is not his own, in fact it is an entirely other creature known as a shlackta. Grown for him to use as a body the inside of this thing is like that of a vast void and in that void his real form exist and if he wishes to do his task of capturing her he must expose that piece of himself."

* * * *

It was not more then mere seconds of Keizer finishes speaking that Cain was able to finally get to his destination. The dark vortex of energy that comprised his form began to plume back into reality and he then set his tainted footsteps on a land so long untouched by his kind.
His position was set on a high outcropping high over the edge of the fields he spoke of and he was catching himself in revelation of where he stood. His body was brought to a knee as he reached to the ground with a dark hand and laid his palm among the soil. His grin grew vast and sinister as his insides began to swim with the feeling of all those who had come and gone passing from life to death among this field. Looking from side to side he quickly began to indulge himself as he reached back with his arms and began to draw in a small amount of the energy that was traced behind. He could feel himself swell within the moment at the realization of how horrible the deaths where as he drank more deeply.
He stopped himself as the thought of the moment returned to his mind and once again knelt down to bring his palm down. But this time instead he began to drip his dark essence into the soil itself and began painting it with his own dark coloration. The essence began to form small streams that started to trail off of the outcropping and into the whole of the field forming intricate lines and images among the grass.

Cain began to smile as is markings began to sink away from the surface and become hidden from view. Cain sat there on the edge with his legs hanging off and sets his obsidian box next to himself as he waits for the right moment to appear.
