Description

Given Name:
Nickname (Optional):None as of yet.
Gender: Male.
Age: 21
Good guy or bad guy? Explain: Colten is a bit of an anti-hero. He's overall a good guy. But he's a bit villainous and edgy, with anger issues leading to questionable decisions on his part.
Position/occupation (Sheriff, outlaw, rancher, barkeep, etc): He's an ex deputy of a small town in Arkansas.
Personality (AT LEAST 5 strong, descriptive, well-developed sentences): Colten is quite charming, with country manners, and respect for women being important to him. He isn't "book smart" per say, but has a strangely open mind for the time and is nothing less than a genius when it comes to "street smarts." He's modestly handsome, not incredibly so, but he can catch the eye of a woman. Colten is a witty and somewhat silent person, analyzing situations before acting unless ofcourse his anger comes into play. He struggles with anger, and this can be considered both a strength, and a weakness.
Skills: He's a skilled gunman, he can outdo the average man with a rifle. But he shines with a pistol. He can handle himself in a brawl, having grown up training for who knows what. Overall his will and determination, concentration and conviction, helps him to shine in combat situations. Though he's a bit socially awkward, his charming nature and manners allow him to manage social situations.
History: Colten grew up in Arkansas, on a farmstead. His father was killed in the Civil War along with his oldest brother. The farm work fell on him and his younger brother, but in 1864 as the war was ending 3 Union soldiers attacked the farmstead Colten called a home. Looking for food and sex, Colten and his brother came back from the fields to find the house nearly ransacked and their mother and sister being brutalized. Long story short, the blood of Union soldiers ended up on the hands of an 11 and 10 year old boy. They had to flee after burying the bodies. Supporting their mother and sister with lives of moderate crime. Until in a shootout Colten sided with the town Sheriff. This shootout gave him renown and got him a job as a deputy. His brother continued a life of crime, getting into a gang terrorizing Arkansas at the time. And his childhood bestfriend soon joined as well. He's haunted by their deaths and a man of moderate fame, he dreams of escape when he hears of a prospering town in Arizona.
Courting anyone? Being courted?: No.
Married?: No.
Appearance (Please provide a detailed description of your charrie. You may post a picture in ADDITION to a description, but not as a substitute): Colten has a face of strong features, deep set dark gray eyes. His dark brown hair is a bit shaggy and hangs over his face, he's stubbled and usually wears a nonchalant look. He's a tall man of about 6'2" and has a lean, chiseled, scarred body. He deals with constant pains from his knuckles, ribs, lower back, elbows, knees, and ankles. And it shows in the way his face is set, he's a model of something that's gone through great physical pain.

Equipment

Weapons: Henry Repeating Rifle in a leather holster hanging at the side of his horse. LeMat(Revolver) worn at the hip in a black leather holster, and a broad bladed hunting knife hanging at the side opposite his revolver at his hip. Colten owns a Cleveland Bay, dark haired horse with a black mane and tail, a strong and fast animal, that he loves and has named, Dallas after his younger brother. He wears a white rounded collar shirt usually unbuttoned at the cuffs and creased under a black vest. With his black canvas frontier pants always tucked into his black leather cowhand boots with spurs. And ofcourse his Civil War confederate cavalry hat.
