*Love Match: Princess Awendela Makwa
*Temper: 5, it's not really that he has a temper but you do not threaten Captain Buckshot Rodgers, you DO NOT threaten him.
*Personality: Joesph is a very easy going guy, he became a pirate because of it really. He couldn't stand the oppression the king and government wanted to put on him. It was something that he couldn't handle if he wanted to live life to the fullest. He is a man that will always protect his crew mates as if they were family because in his book they are family and there are not many things that are more important than that. The only real time that Joesph gets angry is when someone talks bad about his name or any of his crew members. You don't bash, disgrace, and ECSPECIALLY threaten Captain Buckshot Rodgers.
Image
*History: As a kid on the streets Joesph was rather happy. He stole food because he was hungry, took toys because he was bored, did what he wanted to do. It wasn't ethical but it was surviving and it was rather fun. This world that he lived in was restricted by laws after laws after laws, how people survived or enjoyed life was beyond him. So with a bit of knowledge, a few good friends, some luck, and courage that would make a lion put on pants and pee in them. Joesph crawled his way up the ladder until he was the captain of his own ship and crew. A man who took and did what he wanted to be happy. Joesph lived by the rules of only one, the seas.
*Other: Even though Joesph is captain of a band of outlaw pirates, he has a big heart. He can't let a small kid on the streets go on his way without a bag of gold. Knowing the pain this world offers makes him try to help as much as he can to the struggling.

So begins...

Alice tried to scream for her from inside the bag but her mouth was gagged tightly and it came out as just a muffled cry. The gag was digging into her gums and it stung when she tried to scream. But still she tried. The bag was small and dark and smelt like they'd found it in the sewers. The material was rough and scratched her bare face, arms and legs where her dress had ridden uncomfortably up. She fought to get out of the bag but the man was strong and Alice didn't even stand a chance.

Frankly, she was still in shock. She'd always wanted adventure and fun and the thrill of defying her parents to be her own person, but this was in no way what she had in mind. God knows what they were going to do to her or even where they were taking her. And she'd heard the gun shot. Her father was dead... That pirate had killed her father. At that thought, tears sprung into the corners of her eyes. She blinked fiercely. Alice Mary Turner never cried. She screamed and shouted and got angry at people, but she never ever cried. Crying was for those women like her mother who prance around society hosting dinners and batting their eyelids at any man with a sack of gold. And Alice Mary Turner was certainly not one of those women.

She heard her captor give a whole load of instructions, none of which made much sense to Alice. But there was one bit she picked out. "Mr. Hughes put Ms. Turner down in the cell, un-gag her, and give her this apple, they are pretty damn good. Now lets move people!"

An apple? And apple in exchange for all this?! She began to struggle more violently than ever as she felt herself being transferred to the shoulder of another man; Mr. Hughes, supposedly. Alice considered herself pretty strong for a girl of her size and age but against these men she was hardly able to even put up a fight. She screamed again, but it seemed to have no effect either.

She felt the bag being dumped, albeit carefully, for a pirate, on a hard wooden floor. Quickly, the bag was opened and her surroundings revealed. The floor was wooden and she hear the swoosh of water under it as the boat rocked gently on the water. Above her, the roof was wooden too and she could hear footsteps, running hurriedly back and forth above her. She could still hear the captain's voice, continuing to give urgent orders. He sounded slightly panicked. Ha, Alice thought, he should do! Her father would never let them get away with this! In front of her were lots of metal bars, close together, stretching from the floor to the ceiling. There was a small gate right in the middle, her escape route! But the pirate she'd been given to by the captain was stood in the gate, blocking her.

"I'm so sorry ma'am," the pirate said apologetically. To be fair to him, he did sound genuinely sorry but Alice was far too angry by now to care. She'd been kept gagged and bagged for the last half an hour whilst dragged and pushed around by pirates who clearly cared very little about the fact that her hair was now completely messed up, so they were bloody well going to hear what she had to say.

"Oh you will be when you let me out of this cell!" she shot back angrily.

He simply sighed, locked the door and began to walk away from her. "Sorry but I have to keep you in there."

"Don't you walk away from me!" Alice shouted after him. Now she was really mad, "I am talking to you! Let me out right now! You can't do this! I want to speak to the captain! Bring him here right now! Do you know who my father is?!" she broke of in shock before continuing softly, "Was..."

Alice had never cared much for her self-obsessed, socially climbing mother. But she'd loved her father. They'd been close and he'd meant a lot to her.

"Let me out!" Alice screamed again bitterly, although the pirate was long gone and no one could hear her any more. She screamed in anger and hurled the apple at the wall. It smashed against it and the apple exploded into hundreds of little pieces that scattered across the floor. The juice ran down the wall in little drips, splashing to the floor.

Maverick/Jessie
Maverick jumped up as soon as he hear the captain’s voice making sure everyone was at their post doing what was necessary, to get them sailing.

“Get your nose out of the book and pull that anchor up!” he called t Jessie who was reading lounged n a few crates on the deck of the boat eating his apple.

“You got it boss man.” He smirked as he started to reel the anchor in. For a small guy he was pretty fast at it. As soon as the anchor was out of the water he quickly started getting the sails into place. After his work was done he grabbed a drink before sitting lounge back in his spot, waiting for more orders.

Maverick simply rolled his eyes, he nodded to his captain when he told him to set sail so he could speak to their guest. They always had captives and he was used to it, but there seemed to be something different about this girl, her voice seemed so familiar. He ignored the thought, he didn’t care much about the captives in the first place.

“So what’s the deal with the new one?” he said casually as he lend against the wood railing of the boat watching Arron clean the equipment. Everything seeming to calm down a bit seeing as they were a bit always from the Spanish docks now.

Alice looked up at the sound of footsteps on the stairs. Finally! Maybe someone was coming to let her out!

"About time too!" Alice said angrily. "You can't just leave me here, you-"

She was cut off by the captain. He sighed, ruffling his hair. There was something strangely familiar about that gesture, but she couldn't place her finger on it. Pulling up a stool, he laid his weapons out behind him and sighed again, meeting her eye.

"I remember the first time John, your father, brought me in. It was pouring, like a ocean on land. I was living in a alley, someone left a big wooden crate around and I was using it as a roof. He told me that there was no way he could leave me out there, he was going to drag me back home if he had to."

Alice couldn't help but let a small smile creep onto her lips. That was her father, always trying to help out others, much to her mother's utter disgust. There it was again, another flash of memories but she still couldn't work it out. This man obviously knew her father, and presumably her. Alice was sure she knew him but she had no idea where from.

He stood up. "We will keep you here for ransom, you be a good little girl and we'll let you walk around deck. It's been great seeing you again dear. Must go, make sure the royal fleet isn't on our tale yet. If you need anything Mr. Hughes will help you."

"Wait-" Alice said. A whole host of sharp remarks and sarcastic insults raced through her mind, but none would help her now. As much as she hated this man, a question would help her more than an insult. She had a very short temper, but somehow she managed to rein it in to ask this. "You talk like you know me. You seem... Familiar. So who the hell are you?"

“Alright, Alright.” Maverick smirked getting a very bad Idea but going with it as he took the flintlock from Arron. Casually walking over to where Jessie had fallen asleep shooting the gun off a few time next to him. Causing Jessie to practically jump of his skin.

“Works great!” Maverick smirked

“WHAT THE HELL!” Jessie yelled throwing his half eaten apple at the Lieutenant.

Maverick laughed as he walked back over to Arron tossing him the gun. “Any other guns you won’t me to test maybe I’ll actually hit Jess this next time. He could use it” he said as he made his way to the cells where they were keeping the new captive under the deck. The moment he saw her he knew exactly who it was Her amber eyes, blonde hair and fair skin...it was Alice Turner. His best friend growing up, he was a few years older and he would always tease her.

He walked over to the captain standing next to him looking at the girl before smirking “Oh God, how did you manage to get yourself in this mess Princess?” he said calling her by the nickname he had given her back when they were kids.

Maverick listened to his captain “You know I’m with you no matter what Joe, but I know Miss Turner’s family personally, we have to be carefully with her.” He said casually before agreeing to stay up for the night and watch over the crew. “Dawn it is cap.” He smirked as he sat on some crates eating an apple he looked to Arron “Well go get her boy!” he smirked “She’s got fight, I’m sure she’s coming after me.” He rolled his eyes knowing exactly how she was.

Jessie laughed “Ha, Arron’s got wench dutie!” he said fixing the sails.

Aaron sighed when he was told his orders. "Aye" he said. He looked at Jessie and rolled his eyes."Yes I'm in charge of the one woman on this ship and your dealing with anchors and sails. Clearly you have the upperhand here my friend." He put the gun away and made his way to the cells. He looked at the girl happily, his smile was geniune and wanted to follow orders as he was told. "Let Ms. Turner out and show her to a bunk, she won't be a bother, she just needed a breather. Your going to be her best friend while we're out her.". He pulled the keys out and opened the door and walked over to the girl. "Hello again miss." he said "Looks like the captain said you're allowed to roam the ship a bit and he assigned me to show you around a bit." he held his hand out to help her up.

He didn't want to come off as a brute like most of his crewmates were but he also didn't want to come off as a weakling. He nodded to the woman and smiled again. "It's alright I don't bite." he said lauging sightly.

"I'm.. I'm just a pirate, just a pirate..."

Alice watched him for a second or two. He was lying. She definitely knew him. Now she just had to figure out how. He obviously knew her father personally and their relationship had meant more than just the men her father did business with. Finding out might give her leverage.

Another man appeared behind the captain, studying her. There was also a familiarity to him too. For god's sake, did she know everyone on this ship?! Was it some big conspiracy by all the people she knew but couldn't quite place.

“Oh God, how did you manage to get yourself in this mess Princess?”

With that they both left. Alice's mind raced for an angry, sarcastic insult about them leaving her. But she was frozen. His voice echoed in her head, 'Princess'. He'd called her Princess. Other people had used that name for her before in reference to her status and general demeanour. But none said it the way he did.

It was Maverick. Maverick; the boy who'd teased her when he mother had put her in a pink dress and did her hair. Maverick; the boy who'd taught her to play cards and tie a fisherman's  knot, even though she hadn't been very good at it. Maverick; the boy who'd she'd exchanged promises, when they were both just ten, that they'd be friends forever.

"Oh," she said softly, too stunned to come up with anything more creative.

It didn't feel like long before someone came to see her again but Alice had been so wrapped up in the past that it could easily have been much longer.

The man from before who'd brought her down here originally, Aaron, she was sure he was called, descended the stairs with a friendly smile. "Hello again miss."

"Aaron..." she said, showing him she'd caught his name.

"Looks like the captain said you're allowed to roam the ship a bit and he assigned me to show you around a bit."

He offered her a hand to help her up. When she didn't take it he continued. "It's alright I don't bite."

"Are you sure about that?" her voice was suddenly serious. "I didn't think you'd help kidnap a young, defenceless girl, but you managed that. So I don't know what you will and won't do..."

She let it hang in the air as she held his gaze. She stood up slowly by herself, refusing to take his hand.

But before he could respond, Maverick appeared on the stairs beside him. She heard him throw a comment about her towards Aaron but Alice wasn't going to give him chance to just smirk and her and saunter off this time. She was going to tell him exactly what she thought right now.

"And Maverick, I didn't think you'd help kidnap your oldest friend, but you managed that," she shot at him sharply.

"I'm sorry he's already went to bed and he isn't one to get woken up I'm so sorry."

Alice fought to keep the anger off her face and maintain her big eyed tearfulness, but this man was being exceptionally difficult. Alice was use to just having to bat her eyelashes and get exactly what she wanted.

"No! I have to see him!" Alice felt her frustration get the better of her and she stood up, storming along the corridor past Aaron and up the stairs onto the deck. It was windy up on deck and it whipped through her blonde hair, blowing it back and tousling it. Her dusty white and slightly torn dress whipped around her knees, also dragged back by the wind.

She stormed across the huge deck. Tiny invisible drops of water hit her cheeks and she could hear the waves gushing against the side of the boat. It was dark outside and the moon hung ominously over them. To the right she could see Maverick stood by the edge of the boat looking into the waves. Another pirate sat, reading by candlelight to the side of him. But she didn't have time for them right now.

She stormed across the deck. "Where is he?!" she screamed at no one in particular. "Where's the Captain?! I need to see the Captain!"

She began banging on any doors that lead off from the deck. Her fist pounded against them angrily. "Come out and speak to me!"

She tried the handle on a door, twisting it viciously in her hand. It had big grand carvings above it and a gold handle. It was locked. This must be the Captain's quarters.

She banged again, harder. The sound of her fist on wood echoed around her loudly. "Come out and tell me what you did to my father!" she shouted in the direction of the door.
