Appearance

He is known by his good looks and bad attitude. He has a few scars from playing sports and most of them are home related. Getting his smiles and his eyes from his mom and his skills and personality from his dad. Good looks runs in the family his mom would always say to him when he was younger. Skin colour being pale mixed in with a little tan and his height is a good 6'2 enough to say that he is a tall guy.

Personality

He's not a very talkative person and doesn't really like the idea of getting along with some people. Julian is rather a sweet and kind person to the people he as known his whole life. Julian doesn't really care for others but, his mother he could not give a care about his father. Usually the only one he cares to protect is his mother and feels that anyone else could go screw themselves. He's not happy most of the time and he usually is not afraid of showing that he isn't. But, at other times he wants to be left alone from all the problems and see his mother happy. Usually he gets in trouble at school because of his attitude and what he does at school. He's cold and cruel and doesn't like others opinions, though he does like to hear them to see if the match a little of his. Not really caring about how other see him whether he is a jerk or just a horrible person, he'll always be there so they could just give up with tying to hurt his feelings. Nothing really bothers him only his father and a few other things, like seeing his mother hurt. He will smile and laugh most of the time but, other times he could just frown and curse all day. It's very uncommon to not see him in a bad mood. He's very sportive and is a team player, he would push all problems aside and only focus on a sport he is participating in. He's very intelligent in class and gets good grades on his report cards and progress reports. Being mean is what he did to get around he won't talk to some one if he doesn't want to, not because, of his reputation but because, of how he deals with people. Though he is quite popular with some groups of people he, can be mean to them just because, they are people. He treats everyone the same but, he only treats his mother with love and kindness. Sometimes he is like this because, of his father but, other times it's all him 98% of the time.

Julian is good at playing the violin and the piano, it's one of his weakness. That's why he never goes to a music store or even walks past the music class in his school, he doesn't want people to find out and take advantage of that, like his father always did. His father always taught him and played the violin with him. That is why he can never play in public because, of his father. It's really hard for him to like some thing or even love something as much as he does for his mother, she's the only one he has so, he has to protect the only thin he has left. Though she seems fine she started a company and now it's mostly around the world now. He often helps out and tries his best not to stress over the extra things. Dealing with sports he doesn't really complain at what position he gets he just does just like with the rest of his class. Sometimes he tries not to let anyone get too close to him, the only thing he feels like he needs is seeing his mother happy. Something his father could never do, was be tough and keep going through all the hard times and like he expected his father took the coward way out. Julian ha a tough heart he had been growing more colder and more confident over the years, and his heart isn't easily broken but, it'll take a couple of years for it to break, since his father left.Ā

Not afraid of many things he is afraid of telling his true feelings. He doesn't want people getting in his families business but, the rumours had started and he couldn't do anything about. Hating all the gossiping people and how they thought it was okay to make all these lies. He's also afraid of his father, for what he did to them before leaving, he knew his father was hurt but, even he knew that men don't cry. That's what Julian was taught, and so he never cried and kept trying not to ever get as hurt as he did when his father left them. Another thing he is scared of is losing his mother and seeing her sad or depressed, he just can't stand it when seeing his mother cry over his deadbeat father. He hates it when jerks hit girls just to show that they are even more jerkier than Julian thought, he would usually beat some sense into someone who ever made a girl cry. But, sometimes he just says its not any of his business in the first place but, his body had a mind of its own.

History

Julian was -what he believed- born into a happy family so he thought. The small family had been struggling to keep things together and the main problem was his father. He had all the money in the world but, money would not even make him smiled when given to it. Money was he first enemy because, it got people killed it tore families apart, like it did to his. His mom wanted to safe the money so that she could start her very own business but, his father had disagreed and wanted to spin his money and waste it on several things. Evernote he was five years old his mother and father always fought and Julian was always right in front of them when they yelled and complained. One day the fight got even serious and his father was going to hit his mother and his father never hit any women before. Julian acted out of reflex and got hit himself. Protecting his mother was what he had to do, even of that was for him to get hit and beat around a couple of times. In jr high school his fathers behaviour would worsen and worsen that's was when he suddenly gave up and decided to leave Julian and his mother the money and everything was left also. Julian would watch his mother cry a lot of times he could tell she wasn't happy and she looked as if she would never get back on track. But, one day when she was crying Julian sat there and held her like a puppy he had lost and missed for a long time. He promised his mother he would never leave her side even when she died he would carry on her business for her.

They moved on like his father did they were doing great over the summer and after he started going to school he would get in trouble just to see his mother. When she noticed this, she told him it was okay to be away from her even Julian needed a break as well. But, him getting in trouble wasn't only because, of his mother, most of it had to do with his father and how he treated his family. Julian always known his father as a coward even when he found out he started a new family, his mother was happy for him but, he could tell she was slowly breaking inside. He wasn't happy for his father, he didn't deserve a fresh new start. Every time he looked in his fathers eyes in pictures, he could tell that he was slowly hurting as well, knowing that he had left his family behind before starting another one. Even Julian knew to keep that as the biggest secret but, rumors spread and the lies began. As much as he could Julian would protect his families name, he always played sports and would be happy if he would be accepted into the most highest college to start his sports career. He never wanted his mother to take care of anything by herself, he would always take care of it for her so she wouldn't worry about anything else but, her business.

Julian always looked at people and how they see him. They always see him as the most popular but, cold sports kid, that did every thing to football to any other sport. Being healthy was his second main priority so it was very rare for him to get sick. Some says he is just pushing himself and needs to stop before he hurts himself. But, Julian never denies that he is doing a lot more like some people are. He might be smart but, he surely is a trouble maker and would care less of what people has to say. They were just words and words would never hurt him. Hearing about the polygamist family that lived his town his mother didn't want him anywhere near them. It was like they were a disease an when you touch them you will become them. He true his best to stay with his mothers words but, he ended out hanging out with most of them. But, some of them are very ignorant and rebellious, which was a big challenge for him.

Chapter I

The small American village of Round Town, USA was all quiet, the hazy, black blanket of night reaching over the citizens as they slept. And through the snore of a passing thundercloud, and beyond the woeful chirps of the midnight crawlers, lay the grumblings of a sleeping giant. Round Town had been a bustling, yet calm bastion of more reserved folk, with its white picket fences and rambling rose. The town was half Catholic and half Protestant, though it was 100% Christian, and almost every townsperson was a churchperson as well. Morality dominated the governance of the town, and every town mandate was an extension of church mandate. The church seemed rather placid, despite having two largely ā€œenthusiasticā€ factions. Ten years ago, that changed.

The Lorraines stopped in to have a bite one day, and Thomas fell instantly in love; it was just what he wanted for the kids, for his wives and husband. Square City was all asunder between immorality, lack of spirituality, crime and civic corruption. Yes, the Lorraines found a large property, Rosefield, built their houses, and stayed to themselves for a few good years, raising their children and making money between the ranch and their own individual merits. The townā€™s opportunities were innumerable and rich.

About three years ago, Thomas decided it was time to give back, and (with the consent of his spouses) declared his intention to run for the town council. His charismatic family-centeredness and refreshing dialogue earned him a landslide victory. Yes, the Lorraines were becoming valued members of the community and seemed to live in peaceful providence between the secrecy of their group marriage and the respect that they had earned.

But problems loomed ahead, and with Thomasā€™s bid for the mayorship, the family knew they were at the end of their peace. Yes, with kids going out to college soon, one already in, and the clan growingā€¦

But for now, the Lorraines were asleep. It was Saturday morning, way before daybreak, and as the hummingbirds began to wake and the bugs began to crawl back into their dens, the Lorraines slept away. One Lorraine, however, was early to riseā€¦

Thomasā€™s Perspective

Thomas rolled awake, alone in his bed. Through the silky sheets, Thomas attempted to grasp a deep breathe before yawning and throwing the sleep off his eyes. He was alone tonight, like he was alone every Friday night; each spouse had a day and night with him. Friday night was his own night, in the main Lorraine manor.

Through the curtains of the oak-framed bed, Thomas stumbled to meet the morning, his eyes still shut. Wrenching back and extending his hands like a crane, a deep yawn escaped him. The Lorraine Manor was cold at night, quiet and lonely. Occasionally, itā€™s various rooms were used by children who wanted to stay in their fatherā€™s house, or by visiting kinfolk, or by really whoever requested a room. Otherwise, the manor was no more than an activity center for the family, with large kitchen and various rooms for whatever.
Thomas peeked through his achy left eye over down to his alarm clock ā€“ 3 AM. Perfect. He still had enough to time to throw on his pitt-clothes and rush down to the smoker; he had it installed the first year the family moved to Rosefield, large enough to cook about seven briskets at a time and still enough room to cook sausages, potatoes and just about anything. Today, Thomas was cooking his particularly favorite of peppered brisket. Taking anywhere from five to twelve hours, family barbeque was a morning that had taken much toll on his body.

Sighing, Thomas threw a third brisket up on the shelf of his smoker, the sweet meaty juices of caramelized meat escaping forth from the hatch. Thomas always used oak and apple wood to make a particularly distinct taste in his meat, something he learned from his own father. They would spend hours in the backyard, just talking over the smoke and havinā€™ a man-to-man. That was way back when life was simpler for Thomas. Only him, his brother, his father and his mother. They would go on down to Church every Sunday, but his family were never terribly religious. Certainly, however, they probably wouldnā€™t have approved of Thomasā€™s lifestyle.

Some of the family probably wouldnā€™t be too concerned with eating meat later today, but that was alright. His family was diverse in everyway, and that was what he loved about it. He himself was more conservative, but many of his spouses were more youthful and less-reserved. Never forgetting each wedding, Thomas stood and contemplated as he waited for the brisket to slowly cook. The girls would be down later to start on breakfast and what notā€¦

Damien's Perspective

"I slept okay," Well, okay wasn't good at all to some people who knew Damien more and when he said okay, it was always to cover up everything a person asked of his emotions and how he felt. Looking over at his mother he got up and nodded, walking to where his father was,"Father, breakfast is almost ready." Nodding to agree with himself he walked away back into the house and put his sketch book and other utensils back in his small backpack. Putting the small backpack on he looked over at Rowan who asked him if he wanted to go to the stables with her and Annette, a girl he barely knew but, would like to get to know, if he wasn't so distant. He didn't want to be rude and said no thanks, like he usually did to everyone else most of the time. "Okay."

Damien looked down for awhile and thought about how this year was heading off, he thought it was alright. If you count of the parts were e would ignore everyone at school, and freak out when a thousand of people surrounded him. Please, don't get him started about the cafeteria. But, other than those things, had gone smoothly for him, though he had been bullied and picked on because, of his large family he couldn't do anything about how people had felt about him and his family. All he knew was that his family was clearly peaceful and would never hurt a fly. He doesn't hate anything about being in a family about this, he just has some doubts.

Julian Reed's Perspective

Julian was still asleep as the earlier morning turned slowly into the evening, his eyes slowly opened to the sunlight that shined through his window. Looking around, he wondered why his alarm clock hadn't went off like it usually does, it probably needed a couple more batteries he didn't feel like buying. Sitting up in his bed, he stood up stretching out his arms and legs before taking a shower, and putting some fresh new clothes on to start his day off. After he finished off with that, he put some socks and put his pair of black converse on. Walking down the stairs, he had seen his mother in the kitchen and now she was in the living room drinking her early morning -well like early evening- coffee. "Did you sleep well?" His mother always asked him this because, ever since his father left them, he has been having these weird horrific dreams but, that was when he was younger. He did not really have that much of sleep anymore, he usually doesn't go to sleep but, when he does he doesn't really have dreams. "I didn't really sleep well but, I slept alright." Smiling as he finished fixing him some breakfast before eating it and heading outside just to enjoy the fresh air. Sighing as he started walking down the sidewalk of the very dead empty street, that used to be a little more of an alive full street. Looking around at the white painted wooden houses, some were a light green and others were a different light color -but, manly pink, white, and green are the main colors. Well, at least the lighter colors brings some light to this silent street, which he rather believed that people didn't really wake up in the evening.Ā

Not really bothering to see if anyone of his friends were apart of this neighborhood, well he didn't know where they had lived so he usually had nothing else to do but, help his mother out with her business and tasks. He took his phone out and had wondered what time it was, it would usually be around at least 7:30 or somewhere around that time, whenever he woke up and went out for a walk.
