Hair Color
"My hair’s always been dark brown. I went through a couple of stages where I dyed the tips red, blue and purple but everyone was always like, ‘Oh, you look 13! You look so young, how old are you?’ So I wondered what can I do to look my age? I know looking young is cool but…I don’t always want to be cute. So over the summer I had my hair artist dye my hair honey blonde. I'm really glad that I made this change because now I don't only feel older but I feel like brand new."

Type of Hair
"Although you couldn't tell it by looking at my hair now in it's natural state it is crazy curly. I started getting my hair permed when I was fourteen so now my hair is really straight."
Hairstyle
"I love to do different things with my hair. Most of the time I just run my comb and brush through it and leave it loose. Other days I'll curl it or bun it or put it in a cute ponytail. It all depends on the day and the outfit."
Physical Disabilities
None
Usual Fashion of Dress
“What I always explain to everybody is: my fans look up to me, they want to dress like me. I always want to make sure I am relatable towards them. I’m not a big fan of all the big high-end brands. I’d rather just be in a t-shirt, jeans and some cool sneakers. My style is just comfortable. I like to wear comfortable clothes.”
Favorite Outfit
"My favorite outfit at the moment would be my Off White printed denim overalls that Alessandra brought me back from Italy. I love it because it is total my style and all I have to do is put on a pair of white heels and am out the door."

Jewelry or Accessories
"I am definitely more of a jewelry person than I am an accessories person. Like I am a big fan of wearing earrings and necklaces and really cute rings and stuff of that nature. Am not really big on like the oversize purses and wearing hats and stuff like that. I mean I do it every now and again but I typically accessorize with jewelry."
Jewelry over Accessories
How Attractive would you say you are?
"I really hate questions like this because there is no good way or right way to answer. If you give yourself a high score than you sound conceited and if you give yourself a low score your insecure. I .... I don't know. I would say am an attractive person. Like a seven on a bad day and an eight on a good day."

"I was eleven when I was discovered and twelve when I signed to my first label. I've been apart of the entertainment industry for so long and none of it has been easy. Making it in this industry is beyond hard and there have been times when I've questioned if this is what I really want to do with my life and in spite of all the hardships I can say that I wouldn't change anything that of done or any of my choices. In the past four years even been signed to three different labels so if that isn't having the will or determination to make it I don't know what is. During the times of being an unsigned artist me and my manager Gabi worked our butts off to get things done. I was still writing and recording music and during the time when just booked any show that we could. All the shows being charity events, but those performances kept me in the public eye and got me really comfortable with being on stage. Back than we weren't getting money for anything that I was doing but I just kept a positive attitude and looked at everything as a learning experience that would pay off in the end. I can say that back than I was really naive about the way that the world worked and I was also impatient. Granted I do think am still both of those things ever now again but I feel like I've gotten better in both regards.
My freshman year at Hollywood High I had been signed with and dropped Sony and things were really crazy. I was modeling and acting and performing outside of school while still trying to keep my head in the books and focus when I was in school. Which was far from an easy thing for me to do because while my body would be in class my mind would be somewhere else completely. Than when I was home I would always put off my school stuff until the last minute because I was busy either writing music or singing music. For me when it comes to things am either really restless and anxious to get things done or I put it off and procrastinate about getting it done.

When it comes to my relationships with both friends and family alike am the first to be there to help you out with any and everything but am the last one to actually ask for help. I don't know if it's like a pride thing or just me being independent me, but I tend exhaust all available options before I go to someone for help. My mother says that it's just me being stubborn which is just might be. I can't really say. Regardless of what I can say that I do like the feeling I get when one of my girlies calls me up at like two in the morning crying about whatever douchey thing their boyfriend did or come to me when their in a jam because I just like feeling like people can depend on me. I guess I like the feeling of being needed or better yet wanted. I can say that I don't think before I say things which makes me an honestly blunt person. Alexander likes to say that I walk this thin line between straightforwardness and tactlessness. Even if I don't mean to say something harsh or rude to people it can come across that way and before I know it am on a Jasmine V apology tour.
I have been called unemotional by ex boyfriend and girlfriends alike which is something that I would disagreed with. I don't feel like it so much that I lack emotion as I'm just not the overly emotional type. When I go through a breakup whether am the dumper or the dumpee am just not the type to wallow. I'm not that girl who eats her weight in ben & jerry's while scrolling through photos on FaceBook. If were over then were over. I change my status and I move on. It's not uncommon for me to be a new relationship after my last one ended a couple of weeks ago. That doesn't mean that I didn't care about or love the person that I was with before, it just means that I moved on with my life. #SorryNotSorry."
"The things that bring me the most joy in life are my music, my friends, my family and the Jasminators."

Greatest Fears
"Maybe I've been watching the Walking Dead for too long but the thought of a real zombie apocalyptic happening really terrifies me. Am also afraid of getting into a really bad car accident which is why if me and Alessandra go anywhere together she is not allowed to drive. My biggest fear is failure. After all the years and hard work I've put into my music I would hate for it all to be for nothing and for me to fail not only myself but my fans as well."

Live your life the way that you choose

"Red. Any shade of red. I just like the color red."
Red
Least Favorite Color
"I would say that green is my least favorite color but not like the standard green. Like the color green is fine but olive green and asparagus and those kind of shades of green are just really unappealing to me. Like as a kid the only green crayon I would use was the green one when I wanted something colored green. All those other forms of green crayons went into the trash because I wouldn't use them."
Different Shades of Green
Music
"If you were to scroll through the music on my phone you'd see a lot of mainstream music. Young Money artists, Katy Perry, Chris Brown and other artist that fall into that genre."
R&B | Hip-Hop | Rap
Food
"My favorite thing to eat is grilled cheese -n- tomato sandwiches. My mom wasn't ... well isn't the best cook in the world. So before she married Alexander and we got introduced to the world of personal chefs she use to do all the cooking, which basically meant a grilled cheese -n- tomato sandwich everyday after school as a kid."
Grilled Cheese -N- Tomato Sandwich
Literature
"I can honestly say that I probably don't read as much as I should. Outside of assigned reading for school I can't say I do much reading. A book has got to be really interesting for me to read it during my free time."
To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee was the last book she read
Form of Entertainment
"What do I do to entertain myself? Hmm. Well my friends provide me with the most entertainment. Whether it be us going somewhere and doing something outside or just lounging around at either my or someone else's home regardless of what were doing it's always a good time. Usually when am alone if am not doing something related to my career and music I'm taking selfies to post on Instagram or scrolling through my friends social media pages. Many people don't know this about me but I am a huge fan girl. I watch a lot of tv so if am not out with friends or on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter am liking on Tumblr. I can spend hours if not days reading fan-fiction and theorizing pretty little liar theories and just hopping in and out of my many fandoms."
Hanging Out with Friends | Social Media | Tv
Most Prized Possession
"My most prized possession I have is this chest that I have stored away in my closet. I got it on my twelfth birthday from my grandmother and it's basically my journey's mementos box. Like I have promo flyers of shows I've done in it along with magazines that I've been on the cover of and just things that years from now I'll be able to sit down reminisce about."
Her Chest of Mementos

"I basically spend most of my down time in the studio. Whether that be the music or the dance studio depends on the day but that's what am putting most of my energy into nowadays. I've been practicing my guitar and piano playing more recently. Outside of music I like messing around with my cat Bear and just doing different things."
Do you plays any Instruments?
"Yes, I do. I play the guitar and am okay on the piano. Am not like Alicia Keys but I can play like twinkle twinkle little star."
Acoustic Guitar & Piano
Play any Sports?
"If were talking about school sports than no, I'm not on any of the school teams. I have participated in sports outside of school just in the name of fun and fitness."
Many
How would you spend a rainy day?
"Well it depends on how much raining is going on. I mean if it's like storming than I staying my butt inside with the family and I guess I'll either be on my computer, phone, tv or all three. Unless me and Alessandra find something else to do in the house that takes me out of my bedroom."
Chill at Home
Spending Habits
"Well me needing to be the independent me that I am I really don't let Robert buy me things outside of birthdays and christmas. I mean if am with him and Alessandra and his buying her stuff and I know he wants to get me something than I'll just go along with it but outside of that I pretty much buy everything I need. I spend my money on clothes and shoes and makeup and all that girly stuff. Than I always put my money towards the little things like filling up my gas tank and getting mani-pedis and my own lunch because I hate school lunches. I don't know I spend my money on everything."
Everyday Needs & Occasional Splurges
Smoke? Drink? Other Drugs?
"I've smoked hookah and still do but not often. Like in the case of the hookah I do drink but it's not like a daily thing. If I go out to party or a club or something am not gonna not drink. As far as other drugs go I haven't done anything more than hookah and I don't plan to."
Social Drinker & Smokes Hookah once in a Blue Moon

"The Jasminators. Outside of just my passion for my music and the love I have for what I do, they are my inspiration and they motivate me and drive me to be the person that am working so hard to be. The journey to get to where I am from where I started hasn't been an easy on and the fact that my fans have stuck by for this long and through everything just makes me want to be better and do better."
Fears
"Being apart of the type of industry that am apart of the only thing that really scares me is the thought of fame changing me. You look at starlets like Amanda Bynes or Lindsay Lohan who when they first stepped out into the spotlight they were so cute and innocent and than you look at them today and they both have mugshots. Like fame can be a crazy thing and I just hope that no matter what happens I can stay true to me and not let it all change me. I also have a fear of clowns. They creep me out."
Immediate Goals
"I currently have a lot of stuff going on amongst getting ready to start a new year at Hollywood High. As far as school goes my short goal is to just pass the semester. I'm not going into it trying to ace the term but I want to at least do well. Outside of school as I said I have a lot going on. We released my new single a few days ago and we just wrapped up the music video to the single last night. The music video is scheduled to be released at the end of this month and than my EP is dropping early next month. So I've got a lot going on and I just want everything to go amazingly because it's been about three years since I put out any music for my fans and I'm just focused on making sure that everything comes out when it suppose to and that everything just goes perfectly."
Long-Term Goals
"Long-term wise I've only though as far as next year, and my main goal for 2015 is to finally put out an album. I've done a mixtape, my EP is going to be dropping next month and after all these years of patience and support I think my Jasminators deserve a real album. I've been in talk with my label and they think that an album is the right way to go and so far everyone is saying all of the right things, so I think the chances of that happening are really high. I have a wide-range of fans spreading from here in the states to other countries all across the globe and I always get sent tweets and Instagram posts and pictures of fans asking me when am I going to come to their country because they want to meet me, which is the most flattering thing ever. So, sometime next year I want to schedule more meet and greets so I can get to meet more of my fans. Of course I want to book more shows and perform more next year because I just love performing. Not forgetting about school I hope to pass year with at least a 3.0. I know that am not an A+ student but hopefully I can be a solid B student."
How do you plan to accomplish these goals?
"Where school is concerned the only way for my to accomplish my goals of being a solid B student is to do solid B student work. So if that means spending my lunch period in the tutor center or dedicating a weekend or two to doing some extra credit work or studying am willing to do it. I've been told more than once by fans that am their idol or role model and I just want to feel worthy of that and I think not being a high school dropout is a good direction to go on. Career wise I think am already on the right path of getting my goals accomplished. I'm apart of an amazing label and I have the best team, and friends, and family and of course fans behind me. I feel like if I just keep doing what am doing my hard work is going to pay off and everything will fall into place."

"I was born here in California. San José to be more specific."
San José, California
What was your Childhood Like?
"My parents divorced when I was eight. In spite of the divorce I don't ever remember hearing like a lot of arguing or glass shattering. I guess my parents just did a good job of hiding it all from me. As a child I remember being happy. I was home-schooled up until I entered junior high so it was always me with my parents. As a kid I was entered in a bunch of beauty pageants and I did modeling and acting. So people would see my mom getting me into all this stuff as bad parenting but it was all fun to me. At least it was when I won and got the gigs. I use to cry a lot when I didn't though."
Pets
"I didn't have pets growing up. I mean Alessandra had Rocket and while I could say that Rocket was the family dog, Rocket was in truth Alessandra dog. Like that dog followed her everywhere."
None
Childhood Hero or Idol
"Alicia Keys. She was my idol when I was little girl. I could listen to her sing songs while playing that piano of hers for hours."
Alicia Keys
Dream Job
"When I was little I wanted to be a teacher. Like I was really serious about it. Everyday my stuff animals had class and they were the best students ever. It wasn't until I tried it on my cousins that I realized maybe teaching crazy kids wasn't what I wanted to do with my life."
Teacher
Education
"I was home-schooled through my elementary school years. By junior high I was apart of a blended family and since Alessandra went to a real school my mom decided to just send me to the same school as Alessandra."
Home-Schooled
Finances
"Well before Alexander there was no money. I mean we weren't like homeless and living in shelters but we definitely weren't anywhere near rich. I would say that the life my parents had together was like between Upper Lower Class and Lower Middle Class if that makes sense. My dad worked as a mechanic and my mom was my momager so her job consisted of getting me work. During those time when I wasn't really nailing jobs left and right was when we were kind of a lower class family because we would be living off of my dad's single income. During the time when I was getting gigs and competing in pageants and such we could afford more but not as much as like a real middle class family. Than my mom married Alexander and we sky rocketed to billionaires. So my mom and me have pretty much hit all the financial brackets."
Upper Lower Class - Lower Middle Class

"As of right now I live with three other people outside of the live-in staff members. I live with my mother, my step-father and step-sister."
Pets
"I have this cat that reminds me of Puss in Boots from the Shrek franchise. I love him pieces although he can be a very naughty kitty at times. I named him Bear. Don't ask why because I don't have a real reason."
Occupation
"For your average sixteen year old girl I would probably say that I do a lot. Than again this LA and Hollywood High am far from the only student chasing a dream, As of right now am an singer-songwriter and a model. I don't really act the way I did as a kid but I still do promos and advertisements for labels that I endorse like Pepsi and Young & Reckless."
Finances
"I currently have of net worth of 4.6 mill which I'm really proud of just because up until recently I never made a dime off of my music. I'm endorsed by Young & Reckless, Beats by Dre, Pepsi and Adidas Neo. Between endorsements, the photoshoots and the music I have become a young millionaire."

Entering via the spectacular onyx floored central foyer, ahead is the elevator which takes guests from the lower deck all the way up to the Sky deck. Off to the left of the foyer is the 12 seat Dining Table, designed by Evan Marshall and built by Marieux; a stunning glass topped and curved chrome masterpiece of design. Separated by faux marble pillars is the grand Main Salon, with central seating area of armchairs and two cream sofas. Just before the soundproofed doors to the aft deck is a stunning floor mosaic with, either side, china/glassware cabinets behind doors of etched chrome backed glass, studded with diamantes. A pantry located just forward of the Dining area enables interior crew to unobtrusively look after guests food and beverage requirements. Walking back through the foyer forward, one passes a day head to starboard, with access to crew area and galley through a doorway to port. Incidentally, the Galley was designed from scratch with much input from the chef onboard, making the space as efficient and practical to use as possible. After sampling the culinary treats produced in the galley, guests may wish to use the extremely well equipped Gymnasium, which also features a Steam room. A Beauty Salon with massage table and hairdressing chair and basin is also adjacent to the Gymnasium. Forward of this is the split level VIP Suite. The marble bathroom features under floor heating, bath tub, rain head shower, toilet, bidet and twin wash basins with TVs concealed behind both mirrors. Impressive his and her’s dressing rooms(the latter with dressing table), are followed up a short flight of stairs by the panoramic 180 degree suite itself, with raised aft facing King size bed. At the foot of the bed is a cream chaise longue. A useful night head saves the need to descend the stairs to the bathroom. There is access to the deck through a well concealed door to starboard. A TV lowers from the ceiling when required.
Lower Deck
Returning to the foyer the wide, carpeted spiral staircase descends to the four lower deck Guest cabins. The configuration of these is 3 King cabins and one twin. The forward King and Twin each have an additional pullman berth. The four cabins are all subtly different in decor, but all feature madrona burr woods, embossed leather bedheads, marble bathrooms and TVs cleverly concealed behind paintings.
Upper Deck
Onwards and upwards to the Upper Deck, and the full beam Sky Lounge. Less formal than the Main Salon, the predominantly white decor is both bright and relaxing. Featuring sumptuous L shaped sofa and armchairs, coffee table, card table, and pure marble topped wet bar, this is space is designed purely with relaxation in mind. The decor continues the art deco theme, with glossy woods and Erte statuettes. There are no less than four TVs available, all cleverly concealed behind mirrors or paintings. A pantry is discreetly located forward of the Sky Lounge. A less formal option for dining is located aft of the Sky Lounge; a large circular table that can be closed off from the lounge and opened up to the aft deck by the curved glass doors. This gives a unique inside-outside dining experience. Continuing forward on this deck is the Master Suite. On entering, there is an office, with desk, and a TV that raises from the marble window sill when required. The sumptuous marble bathroom with under floor heating includes twin wash basins, double overhead rain shower, central bath tub, his and her’s toilet and bidet. Two TVs in bathroom. A dressing table is cleverly concealed behind mirrored doors, behind which are also extensive wardrobes. Finally the bedroom, with raised forward facing King size bed to take advantage of views afforded by the panoramic 180 degree vista. Access to deck from suite is through a door to starboard.
Sun Deck
Continuing up the stairs past another day head, the Sun Deck is reached. A raised dining table overlooks the substantial spa pool and marble topped wet bar. A grill and TV are also located under the overhang that provides shade, as is another day head. An awning can be erected over the dining table to provide shade. With table and railings removed, this area also functions as a ‘touch and go’ helipad. The Bridge being a deck higher than it would ordinarily be provides extraordinary visibility. Also located on this deck is the Captain’s cabin and communications room.
Sky Deck
Finally, the secluded and peaceful Sky Deck is reached. This is the place to get away from it all, to simply sunbathe on the sun loungers or enjoy the stunning view from the forward sofa. Located five decks up, approximately 50’ above the waterline, gives a wonderful sense of privacy. The elevator (when not in use) ingeniously sits lowered beneath a high gloss wooden top. Also noteworthy is that the upper part of the mast (9’) hydraulically folds in order that the vessel may pass under lower bridges than would ordinarily be possible.
Crew Accommodations
Crew are provided with spacious, comfortable cabins. All are ensuite. The Captain’s cabin is located adjacent to the Bridge. 5 twin bunk cabins are located forward on the lower deck as is a large crew mess in which to relax and recharge. 2 further twin cabins are located forward on the tank deck. Also on this deck are walk in fridges and freezers as well as the well equipped Laundry, more than capable of handling the needs of both guests and crew.

James Villegas

40 - Father
"Me and my father aren't as close as I would like us to be, but I don't really see what I can do to change that at this point. I mean my dad is my dad and I do love him. It's just growing up with Alessandra and seeing how close her and Alexander are it just makes me wish that me and my father had a relationship like she does with her father. While I wouldn't say am jealous of their relationship I would say that I am a bit envious of their relationship. As a child I lived with both of my parents until one day it was just me and my mom and nowadays I see my dad a couple of times a year if that. It's whatever I guess."
Maria Villegas-Ambrosia

39 - Mother
"Me and my mom are crazy close. For a long time she was like my best friend. Actually, I think I would still say that she is my best friend. Obviously I don't tell her everything the same way I do my peers because at the end of the day that's still mom, but we are really close. I never went through that teenage girl stage of loathing my mother and slamming doors and all that craziest. So, I feel like we have a pretty great relationship as far as mother-daughter relationships go."
Alexander Ambrosia

42 - Step-Father
"I have never called Alexander anything outside of his name. It's not like he's never told me that I could call him dad or that I don't see him as a real father figure in my life, it's just I already have a dad. Even though me and my dad don't have the closest of close relationships he is still my dad and he is the only father I will ever have. Now just because I never branded Alexander the title of father the way the state did it doesn't mean that I don't think of him as such. He's been a father to me in every way possible and I do love and appreciate him for all that he has done for me over the years."
Alessandra Ambrosia

17- Step-Sister
"We may not be blood but I honestly don't see how shared DNA could make us any closer than we are. I never realized that I had wanted a sister until I got a sister and I love my sister. Yeah, she's a bit crazy and her self-esteem is as high as mount everest but when ever I've need her she been there for me like no one else. She's my ride or die and without her support I don't think I could have accomplished have the stuff that I have without her pushiness and love."

"This summer has been one of the most eventful, busiest, craziest, fun filled summer I have ever had and I loved ever minute of it. I did a lot over the summer and I really wish school wasn't starting back up because I really don't want it all to end. So as usual we got out on the fourth of June and on that day after school I had gone to the Boys & Girls Club in East LA where I spent hours just hanging out with the kids and I gave them a mini sneak peek listening to my EP that's coming out an November. I got good reviews from all the little boys and girls outside of this one boy who was I guess just not really it. All and all I guess it was successful. From the club me and the family caught a flight because the next day was the Cosmo For Latina’s 2014 Fun Fearless Awards in New York. As if I was honored enough to just be in this room full of beautiful, strong Latinas and my family; I got an award that night. On top of getting an award the RevoltTV "A True Story" interview I did three days prior had aired. That interview was like nothing I had ever done before. We had talked about everything from my catapult into the music industry, to my struggles with self-identity and everything in-between. It was truly an amazing experience that I am glad I did and I got to end a wonderful night watching that interview. The next day my mom and Alexander flew back to Cali and Alessandra to Italy. I stayed in New York and went out to dinner with Jeanette Jenkins, Angela Simmons and Kelly Rowland. It was one of the best dinner ever that was followed up by one of the best lunches ever the next day when I took some jasminators out to lunch at Planet Hollywood. After lunch I had this special two-day EP listening session with a bunch of jasminators. It had been so great to meet so many of my fans face-to-face and great there criticism and feedback on the music that they've been waiting to hear for years. Before leaving New York I got to go to Brooklyn Pride. I wish I could have stayed for the full week of pride because that one day I was there was one of the most fun days I’d had in a long time! It was a day where people could have fun and not feel judged. There are soo many small minded people that don’t understand. We don’t get to choose who we love and if we could I doubt any of us would change a thing!
Unfortunately I was only able to enjoy day one of pride because I had music videos to shoot. With an amazing artist named Golden we did covers to Rixton "Me and My Broken Heart" and Chris Brown and Kid Ink's "Main Chick". So we record really simple music videos to both covers. We shot both music videos in a day which was great for me because after shooting wrapped I was on a flight to San Francisco. Wild 94.9 threw me an exclusive EP preview party and I got to have another meet&greet with my spectacular jasminators. I also did an interview with Nessa who a lot of people may know from Girl Code. Or at least who girls know from Girl Code. I also think she's been on Guy Code...so yeah, Nessa was awesome. The whole event was actual awesome. I came back home to Cali after that and just spent some time at home. Alessandra had come home to visit and it was one of her friends birthday. She threw a party on the yacht and of course she made me come along so I basically spent a day with the popular kids. Which honestly was far from a bad time. Basically from the 12th to the blank I was hanging out here in Cali. During that time I did one interview with Sonia Kashuk and got to do a makeup bag give away, but outside of that things were pretty uneventful.
On the 20th I meet with the Young Villages organization students at the Grammy Museum and I spoke to them about my creative process & gave them a preview of my upcoming EP. The next day I had a beach day with friends than it was all work and no play. Rehearsals everyday for hours a day as I prepared for my performance at the House of Blues. I was doing three songs off my new EP at the House of Blues, featuring surprise guest artists and I was hella nervous. In the end everything went better than I could have ever hoped and people went crazy for the performance. Needless to say I was over the moon with happiness. After House of Blues I went to Miami because my mom's side of the family was having a family reunion. It was great to see all my cousins and relatives that I hadn't seen in months. House of Blues had been on the 25th, the reunion the 26th and I was back home on the 28th because I had the Pretty Girls Sweat event the next day along with the BET Awards. So the BET Awards is pretty much how I wrapped up June seeing as I didn't really do anything until the 4th of July, which at spent at Raging Waters.
102.7 KIIS FM held Club Splash at Raging Waters that myself and Roshon Fegan attend as special guest. It was crazy fun. I invited friends, we didn't have to wait in lines and I got take pictures with fans. So yeah, the fourth of July was turnt up. On the 7th I had a photoshoot with M.A.C cosmetics and the next day the music videos that I did with Golden released. On the 9th I did an interview with AM Tonight. The following day I went to the Los Angeles premiere of "The Distortion of Sound”. The movie was really nice and interesting. The days after that were easy going. I remember going with friends to City Walk and taking pictures with fans, outside of that I just spent down time at home. I didn't really doing anything until the Adidas NEO photoshoot. As much fun as that was it doesn't compare to the day we started filming my music video for That's Me Right There. It was far more of a project than the music video for the covers but regardless it was beyond incredible. Kendrick Lamar was on set and I had my team there supporting me and friends came through and showed their support and it was just a phenomenal time. After the video wrapped things started picking up again and got real busy. I performed at “A Night Of Comedy” and than for fun I went to the Chris Brown vs. Quincy game only to get up the next day and go perform at Virtuoso Fest. After back to back performances I relaxed up until the debut of my single. I went to Power 106 and we debuted the song and like right after it hit the airwaves my friends, family the jasminators all started sending me videos of them like listening to the song and freaking out. It was just mind-blowing. I didn't celebrate for very long though because it was the 28th and Alessandra's birthday was on the 31st and because I wouldn't be able to spend her birthday with her I flew out to Italy right after I was done with Power 106 and spent those couple of days before her birthday with her. While of course I had wanted to be there for her birthday I had to be back in Los Angeles on her birthday because I had to sing the
National Anthem at Dodger Stadium. Which was kind of nostalgic for me because I've been singing the National Anthem at the Staples Center and Dodger Stadium since I was like twelve. So, it's always fun to go back and sing.
I relaxed the next day, threw a pool party the day after that than flew out to New York the day after that. The 5th was a crazy day for me. First off my single dropped on iTunes so people were officially able to purchase and download it. Than that morning I woke up and had an interview with the Breakfast Club at Power 105.1. After that interview I had to go to another interview that I had with Cambio GWC. After that interview I had to go home and get ready because that night I hosted the advance screening premiere of "Into The Storm". After that I went to the after-party at the Sky Room in Manhattan and performed and took pictures with fans. So yeah, that day was bananas but bananas in a good way. The next day I woke up and went to do an interview for J14 magazine and it was announced that I was nominated for a Latina 30 Under 30 award! Am crossing my fingers in hopes that I win but regardless it's an honor. “That’s Me Right There” hit #1 on The DJBooth (DJ Z) R&B/Pop Top 20 chart with I was on my flight to Florida the next day. I performed at the Dadeland mall and held a Meet&Greet with fans. The first 100 fans got an autograph which they were more than happy about. And that has been my full summer. Now am just waiting for school to start."
What grade are you in?
"Back for another year at Hollywood High. This year am going to be junior. Not as exciting as being a senior but am just another year to that diploma."
Junior
What clique are you in?
"This should come as a shocker to no one, I'm a Performer."
Performer
Where are you on the social ladder?
"I would say that am popular amongst the Virtuosi group in general not just my individual clique. Now if we were to talk about my place on the social hierarchy I would say that I fall into that gray area. Like am not the most popular girl in school but am also not a loser. The fact that Alessandra is a royal has I think put this sort of safety net around me. Everyone knows that if you mess with me than your indirectly picking a fight with her and most people unless your in the Listers group try to avoid the Royals at all cost."
Falls Somewhere in the Middle
Are you happy with your place on the social ladder?
”I'm more than happy with my place on the social ladder. Unlike some other people at this school I don't crave popularity. I mean I guess there is nothing wrong with being popular but am okay with not being at the top of the social ladder because my clique is where I belong. I honesty don't think any of the Listers would get me the same way my fellow Virtuosi do. So I'm fine with where I am."
Yes
If you could be apart of any other clique what clique would it be and why?
"If I had to be apart of any other clique I think I would want to be a drifter. Just because being a drifter I could still hang out with my the friends that I already have and make friends with whoever else I want."
Drifter
Do you plan on joining a club or sport this year?
"Not really. I really busy right now and I don't really think I'll have time for after-school activities."
No
Best Subject
"My best subject would be math. Math is just really simple to me. Everything has a formula or some kind of rule and if you follow the formula than you get the answer. It doesn't get any simpler than that."
Math
Worst Subject
"History bores me. Science is just complicated and English is kind of toss up depending on what were reading. If I find the book to interesting than I love the class but if it's a dull read than it's a dull class. So of those three classes I would say that history is my worst subject just because if I put my energy into it I can get science but I can't put my energy into something that bores me. At least when I try to I just end up procrastinating and in the end I end up asleep with nothing accomplished."

Anyways, getting back on track, I didn't stay with Dame Dash but Gabi and me stuck together. As much as I love my mom after leaving the label this show that I had filmed with Disney hadn't gotten picked up and I just felt I need a manager not a momager in order to take me to the next level. I continued doing modeling and acting while me and Gabi basically began our own hustle because at the time I wasn't signed to a label so we to do everything on our own. I would perform at charity events, big brother big sister, boys and girls clubs, L.A.’s Best, I continued singing the national anthem for the clippers and dodgers games as well as other sporting events. I was really just performing all over the place which was great because it got me use to performing in front of various crowds and helped me develop my skills as a live performer. Over the years, I'd travelled throughout the U.S. and overseas performing and solidifying my international presence and fan base—my legion of “Jasminators” as I call them, which extends from Mexico to the Philippines.
In 2010, I appeared in Justin Bieber’s video for “Baby,” which earned me a spot on his 32-city My World Tour and impelled the subsequent success of “S(he) Be(lie)ve(d),” the mixtape I release in 2011 that yielded three successful buzzworthy tracks, “Jealous,” “Werk” and “Just A Friend.” The mixtape got me discovered by Sony and I signed with that label in 2011. The same year that I joined Sony I left Sony. I didn't feel like the label was the right fit for me because it was basically Dame Dash's label all over again. And I say that with no disrespect to Dash but the fact of the matter is that when I was with both his label and Sony I would always be recording songs but nothing would ever come out.
So me and Gabi just did what we do best; we hustled and worked our asses off. At that time I wasn't seeing any money from music because while I had a popular mixtape out it was a free for download mixtape which meant I saw no money from it. So during that time I was doing acting and modeling because while Alexander could have funded my career I wanted to do it on own. Whether I failed or not it was something that I need to say I either succeed at doing or failed at doing on my own. From the time that I was eleven to 2012 I did guest appearances on shows like That’s So Raven and The Suite Life of Zach and Cody and print ads for American Girl, Levi’s and Girl Scouts. I also had partnered with Microsoft to release the first ever HTML5 Interactive Music Video; with Cover Girl to shoot the “Paint A Smile” video; and with Pepsi to release the song and video “Now Is The Time.” In that time I also put out seven addition music videos, three of which were for “Jealous,” “Werk” and “Just A Friend.”
Everything I was doing generated a firestorm on social media. In 2012 I was listed as the #3 Most Powerful Woman on Twitter and the #1 Top Twitter User in Los Angeles by TweetGrader.com; Klout.com also designated me as Twitter’s #8 Most Powerful Artist. I currently have over 1.69 million Twitter followers. 789,000 Instagram followers, and My Facebook “likes” have exceeded 970,000. I love social media because it gives me a way to connect to my fans in ways that people couldn't before it existed. If I have a performance coming up or am doing a meet&greet or whatever it is, am able to just go on Twitter or Instagram and get it out there with ease.
One of the best things that has come from this whole experience is that I've made small waves in the Latino market. I was named one of Latina Magazine’s 25 Most Beautiful Stars 2012 and appeared on their cover in February 2014, and recently participated in promotional appearances connected to Macy’s celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. On top of that over the summer I received an award at the Cosmo For Latina's 2014 Fun Fearless Awards. I am very proud of my heritage and it means a lot to me that I can be a positive representation of heritage.
For all of that notoriety leading up to the big bona fide rollout as a recording artist, am most excited about the opportunity I have to share my unique take on the world and mix of pop/R&B with larger audiences getting wind of me for the first time, while continuing to be a role model to my growing legion of female fans. I want my songs to give voice to young girls, like a journal of feelings that they can relate to. I want to be open and honest with them in my live shows as well, making them feel like they’re part of the show rather than just sitting and watching me do my thing. My favorite part of being a performer is making that connection, talking to them like friends and singing my songs along with them. When they’re singing the chorus of the songs louder than I am, I know I’ve touched them in a special way.
Even though I didn’t have a record deal for a few years, the recording process has never really stopped for me. Now I’m grateful that things didn’t work out when I was with my former labels because the music I’m doing now is so much more meaningful and reflective of the real me than the material I was recording back then. Because so many things were happening all the time, with just regular family drama, going through the breakups with past relationships and just dealing with everything that a young girl goes through. At times it made me wonder if I really wanted to be doing what I'm doing now because it was a roller coaster ride that had small highs and steep lows. Now looking back, I wouldn’t have it any other way and am grateful for every choice that I've made. I feel like my ability to adapt and stay current while trusting my heart will keep me relevant in this business for a long time while also allowing me to stay me.”
