don't know the actual meaning of maturity, but to me maturity is when a person hurts you and you try to understand their situation, rather than hurting them back.. (Voice added!)

gσσ∂ тяαιтs:
Bright / Compassionate / Emotional / Energetic / Generous / Loyal / Warmhearted

вα∂ тяαιтs:
Cowardly / Foolish / Gullible / Inconsistent / Overemotional / Stubborn / Weak-willed

ᘉαтυяε:
Himeko is a very kind girl and tries to see the best in everyone. She is compassionate and driven, always going out of her way to help those in need. She is a generous soul, and is always willing to give to others. She has a bright outlook on life and is very optimistic. She has been hurt in the past, but she doesn't blame anyone involved, Imagenot even the girls who made her feel too humiliated to leave her own house. At times she can be emotional, and sometimes it becomes a problem, but other times she is able to connect to others very well because she tries to understand their struggle and can sympathize with those around her. She is a very forgiving person, some would say to a fault. She finds it hard to hold grudges against those around her, because she often tries to put herself in their shoes, and ultimately she let's bygones be bygones. Although her past experiences have left her emotionally scarred, she is a loyal friend. She is very supportive and would never do anything to intentionally harm those she cares about. She can be a bit cowardly at times, seeing as she is easily scared, and very gullible. She is somewhat foolish, and struggles with school a great deal. She is a stubborn girl, and does not shake from her morals, but she Imageis also weak-willed. Himeko doesn't fight for what she wants, only for what she believes in.

Qυιякs:
● Himeko hates the quiet pauses that take place in conversations, finding them to be awkward and hard to handle. She will often keep talking rather than allow a pause, which often times results in her saying something she shouldn't.

● She believes in ghosts, demonic possession, and all sorts of hocus pocus. She is easily frightened due to this, and regardless of how many times someone tries to assure her, she does not change her beliefs.

● It is counterintuitive, but Himeko watches horror movies often, Imagedespite being unable to sleep afterwards. She enjoys the movies, but they also scare her out of her wits and she becomes to paranoid to sleep.

● She just so happens to be lactose intolerant, meaning Himeko cannot eat ice cream, drink milk, etc.

ℓιкεs:

Cheerleading
She was a cheerleader before her mother got sick, and now that she's returning to her old hometown and her mother's health is considerably better, Himeko plans to try out for the squad again. She was co-captain of the squad in Junior High, but she dropped everything and switched schools after being taunted by other girls over her confession. She wants to make her old hobbies Image
matter again, and regain her old friends, or make new friends on the team if she must. Though she does hope that no one remembers her as the girl who was publicly denied in Junior high, she doubts she'd be that lucky, especially where she was so good at cheerleading.

Hanging out
She has always been a social person, and loves to hang out with friends. She hasn't been able to do a lot of that, but now that her mother is doing better she can do a lot of things she used to be to busy to do... besides, she wants to stay out of Ren's hair as much as she can, seeing as Ren was taking care of the huge emotional mess she was back then and taking care of their sickly mother as well... It took Himeko months to begin her fair share, so she Imagewants to start living her life again to show Ren he doesn't have to take care of her anymore and hanging out, making friends, that's the only way to do it.

∂islikes:

Talking about the past
Whether it's about the refusal of her feelings or her mother's illness, Himeko does not enjoy reminiscing on the past. She avoids conversations that reflect back to that time the best she can and is not beyond walking out on someone who brings up those years if they refuse to drop the subject. She doesn't see the point in looking back on the past, because it only causes people pain.. She feels she has moved on and is healing, so it angers her that people would reopen the wound so carelessly.Image

Flirting
Due to the fact she's shut herself away from guys, Himeko has grown to detest flirting, and does not partake in it. She grows irritated when guys flirt with her, but does her best to be kind, so long as they keep their hands to themselves. She thinks poorly of men who flirt for the fun of it, and doesn't like to share their company because she feels it is rather promiscuous for someone to flirt with people whom they do not intend to court or form a relationship with.

тαℓεηтs:
★ Event planning

★ GymnasticsImage

★ Art

ℱєαяѕ:

Panic
She has experienced panic attacks ever since childhood. She is always afraid of experiencing her next attack due to the chest pain and helplessness involved. Her anxiety is rather severe, but usually she can calm herself down if she is given a paper bag to breath in. Regardless of having the condition mostly under control, it is still a terrifying experience and it is quite painful.

Androphobic
ImageEver since she confessed that she liked the eldest Kitomura sibling and was turned down, she has been afraid to get close to guys in fear of rejection. She hesitates to become friends with guys and is very much against being touched by one in any context. She doesn't blame him, but she also doesn't feel the need to try again because she's terrified of what it might bring. She often has a violent reaction despite her generally kind nature.

Acrophobia
She has always had a fear of heights. She does not like going anywhere above the third floor of a building, and she refuses to go on rooftops of buildings, period. She doesn't like hiking, because it usually involves cliffs and mountains, which is just as bad as being in a tall building, or worse.

Ryou Katsukawa

Kyoko Katsukawa

Ren Katsukawa

Hιsтσяү:

Himeko was born the youngest child to a rather wealthy family. She is the only daughter in the Katsukawa bloodline and has one older brother. Himeko was an energetic and sweet young girl as a child, very artistic and very bold. She has retained a lot of her personality, but after being Imageturned down by the eldest Kitomura son, she had a rough patch. She was being taunted by girls at school, and subsequently she chose to finish Junior High elsewhere. When Himeko was twelve years old her mother, Kyoko Katsukawa fell ill rather suddenly. Her father Ryou paid for the best doctors in Japan, yet not a single theory resulted from the numerous tests. None of the doctors had a clue as to what caused her illness, nor did they know how to treat it. It was assumed that Kyoko would die before the year was through. Though against all odds, Kyoko's fever broke, and she survived. Her recovery was slow, but little by little Kyoko became able to return to tasks she once enjoyed, like cooking for example. Her condition however has not improved in some time, and her health is still rather fragile. Kyoko cannot do strenuous work such carrying Imagelaundry or even taking the garbage out without risking falling back into her illness. In their father's absence, Ren and his sister Himeko took on certain household responsibilities that Kyoko had been medically deemed unable to do. Ryou, Himeko's father, is a very busy businessman so all of the 'man of the house' authority fell onto Ren's shoulders while he was alive. He was the one who had to make sure his sister didn't get in trouble or get caught up with the wrong guys, but that never happened anyway. She learnt her lesson and hasn't wanted to be in a relationship since she confessed. She holds no ill feelings against Kurou, but Ren did. She is now a freshman in high school, finally returning to her hometown although her brother Ren died a few years ago. His death was mysterious, and they finally had to move back home, because they couldn't deal with living in the town he died in any longer. She is optimistic, but part of her also worries that some people might remember her.

"Only if he wishes to do so, you shouldn't be so quick to spring responsibilities on our guests, you know?"

With a frown on her lips, Kurumi silently agreed with Kurou. In her haste to not be locked in alone with her ex inside of his bedroom overnight, she managed to totally disregard Izaya's personal life... He had an elderly grandmother, did he not? She immediately felt like such an asshole for volunteering him so shamelessly, but she couldn't take her words back now, "Hai, hai... it's not like we can force him anyway..." she mumbled at her secret ex, playing with her hair in an irritated manner. Most of all, she just wanted to avoid talking to Kurou as much as possible. She did not wish to accidentally stir romantic feelings up to that needed to remain buried. It was ages ago, and neither of them was the same people anymore... Hell... she was starting to doubt if she ever knew the real Kurou at all. Was it all just some stupid game for him? He probably still laughs at how much of an idiot I was... Kurumi thought to herself as strands of her blonde hair twirled around her finger and instinctively she untwirled it and began the process all over again.

"Honestly, if you're gonna dump this on someone else, shouldn't it be the King who ordered this?"

"But.... hasn't she been through enough tonight..?" Kurumi tried to argue, looking to those in the room for support. She had her own bad experiences and was determined to spare her Kouhai as much grief as possible, especially where Kurou was concerned. However, she was starting to become suspicious of Yukito as well, despite her lack of proof that he was malicious. So far he only seemed to be a bit mischievous at best, but certain moments made her question her initial judgment of him. Perhaps he wasn't so harmless after all? She wasn't sure yet, but the theory was planted within her head now.

"She's handcuffed to Ogawa-Senpai. I doubt they'd be very comfortable guarding your door. I suppose you're stuck with me a while longer, neighbor."

An obvious sigh of relief escaped her lips when she realized that Katsukawa would be spared from spending the night at Sakura Square chained to a model. It was obvious that Kurumi felt sympathy for the younger girl, even if she did not know her. As far as Kurumi was concerned, they needed to stick together. Very few guys looked out for women, so wasn't it a womanly duty to look out for each other? Even if her feelings were not reciprocated, Kurumi as an older sibling felt obligated to protect those younger than her, especially girls.

"If only we all could use that excuse. I'm sure Katsukawa-chan and Ogawa-Senpai were inconvenienced as well.."

Red flags came up as soon as she heard the content of Nemui's words. She could tell that her little sister was about to lose her cool. Years home alone together meant that they knew each other a little better than most sisters would, but as soon as Kurumi opened her mouth to respond, it was far too late for damage control.

"Just admit this isn't about what you -have- to do but instead you just don't -want- to do it. Don't come up with some lame cop-out to preserve your image. Katsukawa-chan just LIED to her mother, what's your excuse?!"

Blue eyes widened as she listened to her little sister's harsh words towards her guest of all people. Kurumi for once was extremely embarrassed to be related to Nemui, even though her little sister presented a valid point. Why did Malik-san make up an excuse without even trying to accept the order? Does she really think she's better than us? Kurumi wanted to believe that Aina was simply an innocent and naïve person, but at the moment she made it difficult to believe that. She felt bad for judging her, but considering her part in the order, she deemed Aina's participation as getting out easy.

"Nemui-san... I."

Kurumi shot a warning glare at her sister, hinting that enough was enough. The blonde rubbed her temples, trying to control her stress levels before she was just another person yelling. That wouldn't solve anything... however, Nemui did have to be stopped before she completely roasted the poor new girl. Even if Kurumi was currently having her doubts, she couldn't watch this play through silently.

"Everyone draw so we can get this game over with, okay?"

Izaya's interruption brought a smile to Kurumi's lips. Sounds good to me... Kurumi thought to herself, glad that the hostilities seemed to simmer down shortly after. It was good that Suzuki's cousin decided to step in. His words brought exactly the distraction that they needed to get everyone back on the right track. It was nice to have a peacemaker among the group.

"I-I have some studying to do... We should hurry. Some of us have to get home before we're grounded."

Though it was short-lived, Nemui was still making subtle jabs at Aina, much to Kurumi's annoyance. Would she really have to set her sister straight in front of everyone in the room? That would be utterly humiliating! She wasn't Nemui's mother, so why did she always have to act like it? Sometimes she wished her Mother would step up so that she wouldn't have to... but it was better than some sort of unfamiliar maid or butler watching over them. They were too old for that.

"Well, I guess the situation resolved itself."

A bead of sweat slightly fell down Kurumi's face, wondering if Yukito was overlooking things or simply being positive. Either way, the animosity in the room was far from dissipated. It was lingering around like a bad haunting. However, his devil-may-care attitude was somewhat infectious... Kurumi ran her fingers through her hair and decided she would overlook Nemui's misbehaving if everyone else in the room could. Honestly, she just did not want to be 'that' sister, not that night at least.

"So, let's not all get in a bad mood. This is for fun after all."

Nodding her head, Kurumi gave Nemui one last warning glance, "Exactly. So let's have fun guys, okay?" Kurumi smiled brightly in the friendliest manner she could. Honestly, she just wanted everyone to get along smoothly and to keep her secret about Kurou exactly as it was -top secret-. It wasn't for Kurou's sake at all, for the most part, she wanted to protect her family's image for Nemui's sake, but also her mother's. She did not wish to make their mother's career any more difficult than it already was.

"Malik-san, I hope you don't mind me providing a consequence. After all, you did avoid the order. I don't think anyone would mind that I provide that order for tomorrow."

As Kurumi glanced between the two, she shrugged her shoulders, "It is only fair. No one else backed out." She stated, wrapping up in her blanket. All she knew was that she was glad she was not the one who backed out on an order. Kurumi had enough of the game as it was. It was fun at first, but by now she had had her fill of its adrenaline for one lifetime.

"Suspense is part of the fun."

That was true, but it also wasn't at the same time. Romantic suspense was awesome... but cat and mouse suspense like this was only fun for one side and that was Yukito's where Aina's new order was concerned. Considering the terms of the new order, Kurumi was very grateful that she chose to go along with her original order. Who knows what someone else would have come up with as a punishment.

"So, let's continue on. We only have a few minutes before we end the game."

Kurumi glanced to the clock as well, surprised by how late it was. She honestly wanted some much-needed rest, but that was very unlikely when she would be sharing a room and bed with Kurou. For the most part, she accepted that she would not get a wink of sleep that night. Thankfully it was the weekend and not a school night! Though she did wonder how Shin would be able to avoid his modeling responsibilities for an entire weekend. That alone would be interesting to watch, let alone all the other awkward occurrences they would experience.

"I could take your place in guarding. It won't be a hassle since I do live here."

Was he just being kind or was he suspicious of her and his older brother? Kurumi wasn't sure, but she decided to play it off, "That's a great idea!" Kurumi replied in a sweet and supportive tone, despite her thoughts being the exact opposite of her spoke words. She smiled with her eyes closed in an attempt to keep from being too obvious. She wasn't the best liar in the room but she surely wasn't the worst either. I really hope he doesn't know... please don't know... I've been trying so hard... she was praying to any god that would listen at that point. She didn't want to be the wedge in their new family. Even so, if her mother had only told her daughter's who she was seeing, she would have come clean before the wedding or engagement ever happened!

"I don't think there would be much of a problem with Kurumi-san and Kuu-nii sleeping together."

Kurumi felt her body tense a little, but she blinked innocently, attempting to keep a poker face, "Of course not. I just don't think his room will smell nice." Kurumi joked, giggling a bit to cloak her nervousness. The way Yukito had looked at her and Kurou... it made her want to vomit. Did he really know everything or was he bluffing? She also realized that Kurou might get offended by her cover up, but she assumed he'd prefer that than the honest truth. Neither of them would get to live it down and it would be all over the tabloids. Their newly conjoined family would be the scandal of the year!

"We're siblings after all. So, don't worry. I can handle things from here. Have some, Malik-san. It would ease your nerves."

The mention of their sibling status made Kurumi's stomach churn. Everyone knew they were legal siblings by now. It was likely all over the news even this late at night considering their high profile parents and even Yukito's status. Everyone at school would know sooner or later... Ease her nerves? Wasn't he the one who did something to make her nervous in the first place...? It was none of her business what happened between Yukito and Aina, as she deemed Aina fit to handle herself as Yukito's Senpai if Yukito became truly out of line, but it was interesting.

"Kitomura-kun. Thank you and I am fine with my consequence. I will accept it."

Quirking an eyebrow, Kurumi stared at Aina for a moment longer than considered normal. I wonder if she accepted because of Nemui's snide remarks? I'm sure it won't be anything -too- bad... Kurumi shrugged it off, giving her younger brother the benefit of the doubt. He didn't seem like a bad kid, his knack for mischief aside. He apparently was a bit of a troublemaker at times, but that didn't make him a bad person. Right...?

"Now get your sticks. Let's see what the King has in mind for all of us."

Biting her lip nervously, looking over the remaining sticks, Kurumi retrieved a stick. She held it close to her racing heart, wondering what would be in store. She really did not want any more excitement in her life after kissing Yukito and having to share a bed with Kurou!! That was more than enough for her. Closing her eyes for a second, Kurumi began to pray to any god that would listen, begging to not be a part of this round too.

"All right, let's end this game. I'm the King. Okay. 2 will leave a love bite on 5's body which should be seen for a week."

Kurumi blinked several times, blushing a bit. The shade of pink was very pale, hardly noticable at all, but it was there. This was going to be far more embarrassing than the previous orders. They would actually see someone putting a love bite on another person right in front of everyone. She looked to her stick and held it up proudly, "Not me~ Announce your numbers so we can get this over with, only one person hasn't been King yet!" Kurumi chimed happily, placing it down on the table for the next person to pass out after everyone else revealed their numbers and the order was carried out.

While it was very lucky that Nemo had managed to stop herself from going full nuclear on the poor Aina, Kurou also felt a bit disappointed that the sudden burst of visible character from the girl had ceased so quickly. Kurou generally thought of her as rather weak-willed and boring and this was probably the first time she had provided him with any entertainment. It appeared as though even the most timid of the group was beginning to tire of this event of theirs, so if that wasn't a sign this game should hurry up and end soon, then he couldn't tell you what was.

More importantly to Kurou than Nemo's well being was the fact that his suggestion for the guard for his task was shot down rather quickly. "She's handcuffed to Ogawa-Senpai. I doubt they'd be very comfortable guarding your door. I suppose you're stuck with me a while longer, neighbor." Izaya said, siding against Kurou. Now that he mentioned it, yeah, Kurou had sorta forgotten about that. It was his bad, not that he would openly admit this.

"But.... hasn't she been through enough tonight..?" Kurumi argued. Because nobody seemed to support him, he did not bother to put up any resistance. He was, however, a bit annoyed to see Izaya so eager to volunteer, though. A sharp "Fine" escaped his lips as he conceded defeat in this matter.

At the very least, if they were robbed tonight, the culprit was pretty obvious.

"Next round, yeah? Can't do that one yet anyhow."

Things had begun to get back on track, though it was quite obvious Nemo was still in a sour mood from a sharp comment she had made. The tension in the room was just about palpable and everybody was obviously tired of the game and each other, it had seemed. Kurou could not help but look towards his younger brother. Though his face did not betray any of it, he was confident that Yuki was having a whole lot more fun than anybody else in the room. The younger Kitomura's sadism heavily outweighed Kurou's own, even if he did try to seem the peacekeeper of the group.

I would not be surprised if he had desired this all to happen.

"Malik-san, I hope you don't mind me providing a consequence. After all, you did avoid the order. I don't think anyone would mind that I provide that order for tomorrow." Yuki stated.

While it was technically fair, Kurou wasn't sure just what kind of plans his brother had in store for the dark-skinned girl and that caused him to almost feel bad for her. It was impossible to know just what she would have to suffer through though, so he merely gave a small shrug in agreement. Such is the price for avoiding responsibilities... not that Kurou should generally be able to talk. But he was just glad he would not have to deal with a mischievous Yuki. His night was already guaranteed to be ruined merely by the fact he was NOT going to be getting any real sleep tonight. He wasn't sure what he would do if---

"Oh right, Shuuhei-san. Would Mari-baachan be fine without you? You did say she would need you."

Please, no.

Kurou had an intensely bad feeling in his gut the moment Yuki finished that sentence. He knew exactly where this was going and did not like it one bit, but knew that objecting would only bring suspicion on him. With how eagerly Kurumi accepted the incoming suggestion, he was sure that either she knew that too, or she was just really naive.

"I could take your place in guarding. It won't be a hassle, since I do live here." he politely offered, sending a stronger sensation through Kurou's gut. As long as they didn't suddenly do anything weird, there really was no actual reason to worry, but still... Kurou could not help but assume the possibility that Yuki might know something was up. And if that was the case, then it would only take on slip between Kurou or Kurumi for him to find out. It was not a pleasant feeling.

"Do whatever you want." Feigning indifference towards the topic, Kurou had said this.

Yuki then continued. "I don't think there would be much of a problem with Kurumi-san and Kuu-nii sleeping together."

The older Kitomura did not like the vibes he was getting from the look Yuki had shot the both of them. It made him feel like the suspicion about his brother being suspicious was correct, which was definitely a bad thing. All Kurou could do was simply continue acting like an indifferent asshole (which was pretty much the case with him anyways so it wasn't too hard). There was not a single reason to worry as long as they didn't do something weird. Yes, that was correct. And he didn't have any plans on that, and he was pretty much sure Kurumi didn't either, so there was no reason to get all worried! ...Right?

"Now get your sticks. Let's see what the King has in mind for all of us."

And so the game continued, with the last order being that Number 2 would leave a visible love bit on Number 5 that would be seen for a week. Glancing at his own stick he had grabbed, it seemed luck was on his side for this final round, despite him not being able to snag the King spot once again. He wouldn't have to deal with something embarrassing like that. After Kurumi had voiced her exclusion from the round, Kurou followed suit.

"Not me, either." Kurou said, then announcing his number and holding the stick up.

Watching Nemui flip her switch at Aina so quickly was unexpected, especially after how she had responded to Yukito at school. Himeko felt that perhaps there was more to the shy Fujioka siblig. Scratch that... She's the shy Kitomura sibling now, isn't she...? I can't believe I go to school with such a high profile family... and a famous model? Since when was that school so prestigous? She thought to herself, her eyes drifting between all four of the Kitomura siblings, then to Shin, whom she was handcuffed to due to this devil's game.

"She's handcuffed to Ogawa-Senpai. I doubt they'd be very comfortable guarding your door. I suppose you're stuck with me a while longer, neighbor."

Although she was grateful for Izaya coming to her rescue, Himeko could tell that this was not entirely all about her. He wasn't just being altruistic, his tone suggested something much more. Was he holding a grudge against the siblings for threatening him into playing? She couldn't say she blamed him if that was the case... Either way, at least someone is on my side, guy or not... Himeko thought to herself, but the gratitude never crossed her features. Years of hatred towards men was not going to be erased by a few small gestures. The truama she had experienced was too deeply rooted to be remedied so easily.

"But.... hasn't she been through enough tonight..?"

Himeko turned her attention to Kurumi, smiling in a very friendly manner, responding in a completely different fashion than she had with Izaya, "Arigato, Kurumi-Senpai..." Her tone was very genuine, proving she was quite touched that her senior was thinking about her, especially as the two had been complete strangers before that night.

"Fine"

If words were daggers, Himeko was sure that Izaya and Kurumi would have been sliced to bits by Kurou's. She wasn't sure why he wanted her in his house, but the mere fact that he wanted her there made Kurumi want to be there even less. He hasn't figured out who I am yet.... or has he? It would explain why he wants me here... Does he want me away from the others so he could pick on me? She thought to herself. She didn't even consider the fact that he might have changed. In Himeko's mind, all men were the same. She did not believe that they could change, she was quite cynical that way.

"Malik-san, I hope you don't mind me providing a consequence. After all, you did avoid the order. I don't think anyone would mind that I provide that order for tomorrow."

The thought of Yukito having any sort of power over anyone after how she witnessed the younger Kitomura sibling handling his stepsister, it was a frightening thought. She had all these distorted nightmarish scenarios running through her mind. Were they realistic? Probably not. Did that stop her from worrying? Nope. Her eyes shifted to Aina, seeing if she needed back up, waiting for an indication that she was needed.

"Oh right, Shuuhei-san. Would Mari-baachan be fine without you? You did say she would need you."

Don't you dare.... Himeko thought to herself, suspecting Yukito of trying to team up with his brother. Were they really going to force her to stand watch while chained to Shin!? This situation was bad enough without something like that. She wanted to leave Sakura Square as soon as possible, not remain prisoner over night! I was King, why would I have to stand guard?! That isn't fair!

"I could take your place in guarding. It won't be a hassle, since I do live here."

That was the biggest relief of the night aside from being cleared from a round of this damned game she had been roped into playing. Himeko bit her bottom lip, glancing over at Kurumi. Were her new brothers trying to make her feel uncomfortable or were they going to let her escape the order in secret? She didn't really mind. Despite what Nemui thought of her, most likely due to Yukito's instigating, she did not wish ill will towards the other girls in the room. She was plenty happy if they could avoid a horrible order.

"Do whatever you want."

There didn't seem to be much more to say. That settled it, as far as Himeko was concerned. She didn't notice that Kurou was uncomfortable or trying to keep a poker face, completely fooled by his act. In her defense, she had spent many years away from him, so she wasn't all that familiar with him anymore, nor did she intend to become familiar with him again. If anything, avoiding him until his graduation was her only goal. It currently was failing miserably. It seemed luck was not on her side at all this year.

"I don't think there would be much of a problem with Kurumi-san and Kuu-nii sleeping together."

Why does that even need to be said? Especially in such a sexual context... They're brother and sister now. Isn't that obvious? Himeko did not catch on to what Yukito was hinting toward, simply nodding her head in agreement. She wanted to get the night over with before the Kitomura siblings came up with another horrible game to keep everyone in their house even longer. This was worse than The Texas Chainsaw Massacre. At least their torture was over sooner than this!

"Now get your sticks. Let's see what the King has in mind for all of us."

"One step ahead of you." Himeko stated, waving the blank side of her stick at the others to prove she had already taken one. She tapped it against her cheek waiting for the others to follow suit, then her handcuff partner gave the order. A hickey!? She could barely believe it, but why was that any surprise? Shin was a stranger there was no way for her to know what to expect. Though now I know he does have a capable mind for such things... No sleep for me this weekend. she resolved, her skepticism towards all men preventing her from giving Shin the benefit of the doubt, especially after their kiss in the closet. It seemed that Kurou and Kurumi were both free from this round, as was she. That left Nemui, Aina, Izaya, and Yukito. Two of the four would be involved in the order. She felt nervous, praying for Nemui. She knew that her classmate likely would not survive something like that...but then again, perhaps the girls at school would leave the poor girl alone if she had a hickey. It would certainly mean she was getting more action than most of them. Heh.

"She's handcuffed to Ogawa-Senpai. I doubt they'd be very comfortable guarding your door. I suppose you're stuck with me a while longer, neighbor."

For once, she was relieved to hear the newcomer speak, but it did very little to alleviate the nervousness Nemui personally felt because it only gave him additional ground to spend the night at Sakura Sqaure, her new home! She was not comfortable with it at all, but Nemui had already caused one scene too many, she was not interested in bringing about another so soon. Not to mention it seemed he was trying to settle some sort of score with her new step-brothers. Nothing about his offer made Nemui feel that he was throwing himself under the bus from the kindness of his heart. Perhaps she was being too paranoid, but she preferred to be a little over the top rather than a news crew finding her entire family slaughtered in their beds in the morning. Maybe I've been watching too many slasher films... Nemui considered, nibbling at the inside of her cheek. Even she knew when she was becoming a bit too neurotic.

"But.... hasn't she been through enough tonight..?"

Shortly after Izaya spoke, so did her own sister. Did she really want to jump the stranger's bones so badly that she couldn't think rationally about him at all? Nemui was really astonished by how stupid her sister was willing to behave in order to spend extra time with a complete flight risk. He was a stranger to them, that meant he could be immeasurably dangerous. What if he smoked crack or decided that their kitchen might be a nice place for him to cook meth?! Hell, for all they knew he might have a craving for the other white meat...people! There were several factors that made Nemui distrust Izaya, and none had any real merit other than probability and his choice of attire.

"Fine"

It seemed that at least one other person in the room felt the same way as she did, but she wasn't sure if it was for the same reason, "If it's any consolation, I agree with you, Kitomura-Senpai." Nemui added, trying to lighten the mood of the room. It seemed that everyone was taking turns losing it, perhaps because it was getting late and the game was getting very hectic, pushing many to their social limits. Either way, she just addressed her legal brother by his last name. Even if they had only known each other for a few days, it was not a common occurrence in most families for new siblings to do so.

"Malik-san, I hope you don't mind me providing a consequence. After all, you did avoid the order. I don't think anyone would mind that I provide that order for tomorrow."

A small smile formed on her lips satisfied that at least someone else felt that Aina should not be the only one that got to walk away from an order without penalty. Though something about Yukito offering to do it himself left her uneasy. Nemui wasn't sure why she felt that way, but she knew that if he was the one giving the order that Aina would not get out of playing the game properly so easily. Serves her right. Nemui thought to herself, taking a contented breath in, hoping no one noticed. The sound was fairly faint, who would be paying enough attention to notice? She was reasonably confident that it went undetected.

"Oh right, Shuuhei-san. Would Mari-baachan be fine without you? You did say she would need you."

When Yukito mentioned Izaya's other, more pressing responsibility, Nemui was thrilled. In that moment, Yukito felt like her knight in shining armor. Even though she knew her new younger brother was nothing of the sort, he definitely had the aesthetics to deceive her. Honestly, anything that kept Izaya out of this house during the later hours of the night was fine by her. Once the doors were locked, she wanted Izaya to be on the OPPOSITE end, her ability to sleep soundly rested upon that hope.

"I could take your place in guarding. It won't be a hassle, since I do live here."

Eh...? Why would he volunteer? Nemui was completely baffled, and despite being able to keep a straight face during her other thoughts, astonishment was painfully evident on her features after Yukito graciously proposed to take Izaya's place. She couldn't fathom why he would wittingly lose sleep, especially since he was a pop idol and his appearance was his career. Losing sleep was not good for the skin, the basis of his initial appeal. It made no sense. Wasn't he tired..? The entire family woke up insanely early to get the Wedding going without a hitch, she was sore, exhausted, overwhelmed, and irritated. How was he expecting to stay up that late?

"Do whatever you want."

If his words weren't enough, it was clear that Kurou wasn't thrilled about it. Nemui wasn't sure why, but as long as Yukito and Kurumi were alright with it, it wasn't any of Nemui's business. In fact, she would sleep much sounder knowing no one but the family was inside of Sakura Square. I might get some sleep tonight after all... Nemui thought to herself gleefully, but kept her face composed. She didn't want to give away her emotions and thoughts too easily. Being read like an open book was annoying after a while, and she actively attempted to avoid being an easy read when she could help it.

"I don't think there would be much of a problem with Kurumi-san and Kuu-nii sleeping together."

"It's a bit weird, but other than that... it doesn't seem like much of a bad thing." Nemui added, curling up inside of the blanket with a shiver. The later it got, the less her body heat seemed to be helping her, or perhaps it was foreshadowing? The night had not been well for everyone else, and thus far Nemui had been considerably lucky. She wondered how much longer that luck would last.... Seeing as everyone else but herself and Izaya had been thrown under the figurative bus, she felt it would end soon as the game was coming closer and closer to it's impending closure. She only hoped it wouldn't be worse or similar to the order that she had given Himeko. Why did I have to try and impress the others into thinking I'm not painfully shy? What did I have to prove? Why should I care if my order was lame...? Showing off put Katsukawa-chan in an awkward position... What if karma comes back to bite me ten fold...?" She worried, feeling her stomach twist into painful knots as anxiety took over.

"Now get your sticks. Let's see what the King has in mind for all of us."

"One step ahead of you."

Nemui held hers up, careful to not show anyone her number, "Same here." Nemui replied in an even tone, slightly giving off a disinterested and bored vibe. However, she shifted her attention to Himeko, then to Shin. She hoped that Shin was a gentleman. She remembered him from her mother's photo shoots, but that did little to ease her mind. Just because they were acquaintances did not mean she knew anything about his character. Nemui believed he would not do anything strange to her friend, but she could not say that she was one hundred percent certain that he would not. An entire weekend was a long time, and unless he was completely homosexual she doubted that he would be in control of his hormones all of the time. Men in the manga she read often stated they 'can't hold back any longer' or 'I cannot control myself anymore'. Her narrow experience with romance that was biased and often untrue left Nemui's perception of men quite warped compared to reality. W-What if he makes a move on her? S-She can't escape!! O-Oh My God... Nemui internally panicked while her face remained calm, though she definitely appeared to be zoning out.

"Okay. 2 will leave a love bite on 5's body which should be seen for a week."

Only brought out of her vivid worries by Shin's voice, Nemui's golden brown eyes widened when she realized his order, visibly freaking out despite not being one of the chosen from that order. Love bite!? She had seen several in manga, but she felt heat rise to her cheeks when imagining what it was like in real life. Who would be the unlucky victim? She quickly revealed her number, "N-Not it!" Nemui stuttered in a highly flustered manner. Just the thought gave her mental images of Shin trying something similar with Himeko. Was it too late to try and steal her away from him? She had never picked the lock to handcuffs, but Youtube had how-to videos for just about anything, right?
