||In Depth||
Art is known to everyone as one of the most attractive doctors in the hospital despite his age. He has a well-sculpted face, and the stubble on his chin and cheeks gives him a rugged look. His brown hair is oak-like in color and kept slightly long and wavy. A few streaks of gray have already begun to show in his hair, and when he smiles, one can easily see the laugh lines and crow's feet on his face. Despite his almost care-free personality, he is diligent, and this can be seen from the occasional bags beneath his eyes. Often, he wears dress pants and a dress shirt with a tie to work, skipping the suit jacket all together.

Arrogant || Persistent || Diligent || Flirtatious
Look up the word "arrogance" in the dictionary, and a picture of Arthur Malone will come up beside it. Art knows he is one of the nation's best surgeons, and he doesn't let others forget that. Unfortunately, he is one of those people who takes confidence too far. Often, he feels it entitles him to call the shots or take control in a surgery. His title as Head Surgeon certainly doesn't help combat such excessive pride. His arrogance isn't meant, in his eyes, to upset anyone, but it often ends up doing so anyway. In the break room, he's often found cracking a joke or flirting relentlessly. However, Art is diligent, and when he enters the operating room, you know he means business. Despite his ever-growing reliance on coffee, his fingers remain deft and steady, allowing him to His dedication to his job, on the other hand, often consumes him life and relationships. He tells others that he wants kids eventually, but he's frankly far too consumed in his work to dedicate the time and effort child-raising requires.

||History||
Arthur Malone had a normal, happy family for the first five years of his life. They lived in Pennsylvania, and he had dreams of being an astronaut or a rockstar like every child, and a mother and a father to back up his dreams. For years, he was an only child, but his mother became pregnant when he was five. Initially, Art resented the addition of another child to the family, but as time went on, he grew excited at the idea of being a big brother. Unfortunately, he never would be one. His mother went into labor far too early, and both she and the baby ended up dying.
In that moment, all of his other dreams were thrown to the wind. Arthur wanted to be a doctor. His father left him alone, more or less, during his childhood, for he had a job as a biochemist to worry about. Arthur eagerly studied the sciences and mathematics, and they came to him easily especially with the occasional help of his father. He graduated high school with high honors and went to study at Drexel University. He applied for their early assurance program and was out of college with his doctorate in seven years. At twenty-five, he was accepted to Brantley for his residency. When his residency ended and a position opened up, he was eagerly hired on.
Art moved about the different wards as time went on, proving to his superiors that he knew how to handle himself in the operating room. For some time, he was the head doctor in the maternity ward. It was quite ironic to him to help so many pregnant women when he had previously been unable to save his own mother. By the time he was thirty-four, he was noted as one of the top surgeons in the hospital, and he met Katherine Benetton.
He was immediately smitten with her, and they spent hours together when they weren't working. She was, and still is, the only girlfriend he has managed to keep for over five months. They dated for a total of three years, growing closer every day, until tensions between them became too much. She wanted children, and he wanted to focus on his career. She wanted work to stay out of their personal lives, and he found it difficult to talk about things besides what he had done at work. They've been apart for a month now, but tensions are still extremely noticeable though they remain professional in the workplace.
