Nicholas sat at his desk, going through the mail from the previous day. He never did sleep much, always too many things going on. Nick looked at the time and noticed it was time to sound the wake up call. He reached over to the pa system and turned it on. "Attention all campers. This is your wake up call. Please get up and get ready for the say, breakfast will be served until 8am. As well as each camper has a package sitting on the porch of their cabin, please grab yours and bring the box to the battlegrounds. Please do not open until everyone is at the grounds and class begins." Nick announced, waking everyone up. He hung up the pa system, and then opened the drawer to his desk and pulled out a beaded bracelet. "50 beads out of a possible 50. Prefect score, hopefully someone this year will show that they have what it takes to make a prefect score. Being the only one to ever have made it, it's boring being alone." Nick said to himself, though it wasn't uncommon for him to talk to himself. He put the bracelet on, with his other camper bracelet and walked out to the battle grounds.
The dragon boy was dying to open the box, his fingers itching as he held it. So unfair! He felt like Pandora...if only he could sneak a peek...
His stomach's rumbling distracted his thoughts, and he went to the mess hall. He gathered together an inhuman amount of food: pancakes, cereal, waffles, toast, fruits of all sorts, bagels, and enough butter to coat the entire camp. He sat down and began eating ravenously. Food had never tasted so good! The box that he had been so curious about was, for now, forgotten.
