Welcome to Cromwell

Welcome to Cromwell

Being young isn't easy, and it certainly isn't the best time of your life when you have to spend it in a mental institution. For these teens, it's going to take a lot for them to return to a normal life. But maybe they can make the best of it.

"Here at Cromwell Psychiatric hospital, we strive to make certain that every resident here feels welcome and at home. We make sure they are well attended to, that they take any medications on time, and that they are feeling the absolute best they can. We have many areas in which our residents can explore including a rec room, a gym, a pool, and an outdoor area. All our rooms are designed to look as close to a home bedroom as possible, because we want our guests to feel as if this is a place of refuge and of tranquility. There are also classrooms so that our younger residents may still attend proper schooling and be prepared once they have been released from our home.

Since 1900, Cromwell has housed many unique individuals and rarely get complaints. We make certain that all of our nurses and other staff members are treating our residents fairly and with respect, just as anyone would in a professional environment. Our employees have gone through rigorous background checks to make sure every one is fit to be working here at Cromwell. As the owner and caretaker, I strive to make everyone here at Cromwell happy and healthy. I have never thought of this place as a hospital, but as a home for troubled people as have my ancestors before me. Here, we do not call them "patients" but "residents" or "guests", for we want everyone to feel as close to home as possible.

Welcome to Cromwell, we do hope you enjoy your stay!

-Dr. Victoria Cromwell, PHD

For you, life has never been easy. Whether it be due to your upbringing, your faulty genetics, or the garbage that is your peers; well let's just say it sucks. And now you're here in a house for crazies. Maybe you're angry, depressed, or maybe you don't even care. However, Dr. Cromwell isn't making things any easier with her condescending attitude. Sure, you're a kid in her eyes, but just because she wants this place to be more like a "home" doesn't mean she has to play mom.

Whether you treat this seriously or like a game, it doesn't matter. What matters is, you're here for the long run so you'd better get comfortable. The people aren't really that bad here, at least not the ones in the teen wing. And it's almost as if it's real, normal life. You suppose you could get used to this place. After all, it's better than the life you had before. Maybe you can make some real friends here...or even meet someone. This could be your escape, but it could also be your prison. It all depends on how you see things.
