Description

Zwein Ryner

Image

Age: 19
Gender: Male
Mage:Regular Mage
Element/Type of Magic: Re-equip – Blade | Teleportation
Rank: C
Crest Location: Back of his hand
Weapon: Void Impulse – One of the two blades his brother passed to him when he died. Having a will of its own, it acts rather rude to its owner and always tends to push negative thought and emotions into the wielder. Although its intentions aren’t all bad, Zwein remarked it as pure intent to remove Zwein himself from using the blade. Seems like that it prefers Zwein’s brother more than him, thus wanting him to disappear and perhaps to die. It harbors the magic of Darkness.

Divine Cross – The other blade that Zwein’s brother passed down to him. Divine Cross is the female and gentle version in contrast of Void Impulse. Whenever Zwein is depressed or sad over a lost battle, it always tries its best to calm him down and reassure him. Zwein looks at it as if it’s his mother, and Void Impulse as his rude little brother. Though personality wise it is better than Void Impulse, its attack power and powers are more or less unsuited for battle, in contrast to the other. Most of its powers are contributed to healing and curing, but it can still cut like all other blade. It harbors the magic of Light.

Height: 5”9’
Weight: 165lbs
Party: Unknown

Appearance: Zwein wears a long black coat matched with a plain black shirt on the inside. His skinny features are widely exposed, and the fact that he doesn’t possess much muscle like some massive bodybuilder is shown here. A long black pants that goes along with the two. Under the sleeve he wears a pair of black fingerless gloves which hides the guild mark under it.

He has two sides of him, apparently. When his eyes turn red and his manner of speech becomes rather rude, he is possessed by Void Impulse. His strength goes way beyond than normal and he tends to piss people off with his personality. His actions become more irritating, and he tends to charge head-first into most situations. Divine Cross does her best to pull Void Impulse back into his sword, recovering back Zwein’s will. In this side, he tends to throw away his coat and fights without it.

Most of the time when Zwein’s himself, he wears his usual black shirt during free times and sometimes he gets lazy and sleeps with his coat on. He is never seen without his blades though. When he doesn’t wear his coat, he hangs the two blades on the same side of the waist and walks around with them. Also, there are times where he is mistaken for talking with himself. It was because he was having conversations with his blade.

Personality: Normally, Zwein is usually a cool-headed character. However, during battle, he lets out his hidden urges to fight and goes berserk, all the while still keeping rational intentions and thinking. Unless Void Impulse takes over his mind that is. If that happens, he’ll just be a charging boar with uncountable dangerous openings.

Because Zwein usually suppresses his desires to fight, which where Void Impulse can use it as advantage and control him, Void Impulse is unable to take over and only on rare cases does Zwein ever let loose these desires and be controlled by Void Impulse. They have a bad trust, but because they see each other as irritating brothers, they have a bond stronger than anyone else, even though everybody in the guild knows that they hate each other’s guts.

Divine Cross, on the other hand, rarely takes control of Zwein’s body. The last time was when Zwein broke down during the death of his brother. She is always the one stopping the two from arguing and always ends up scolding the both of them. She acts like the mother to both of them, and she is able to use her powers to transmit her thoughts to every member of the guild.

Lastly, we talk about Zwein. He is usually quiet, and he only speaks when asked to. He is known as the guy in the corner, sulking whilst talking to his blades. But he is kind at heart, and he does his best to help his guild members; by staying out of their way during fights. Although he knows that he has powers that can go on par even with S-class wizards, he refuses to do so and has the tendencies to only observe other guild members as they fight.

Likes: +Fight+
+Relaxing+
+Teasing Nelle+

Dislikes: -Losing-
-Losing control to Void Impulse-
-When Nelle best something out of him-

Flaws: He is a lot lazy, and when is begged to help, he always asks something in return, as to compensate for fighting. Zwein never unleash his full power, and when it does, he usually gets controlled by Void Impulse. Another one of his major flaws is that he doesn’t admit defeat. While it is good at one point, in other cases, it’s a bad thing.

Talents: A swordsman with potential to become a S-class and becoming one of ten Wizard Saints. Zwein has a natural talent to think at split-second, and using his teleportation magic, Zwein can co operate his self-taught sword styles with it to unleash streams of attacks without letting the opponent a second to rest.

Fears: Although he doesn’t wants to admit it, one of his fears is losing another family member close to him, namely, the guild members. One large fact to support this is that he once swore in front of everyone that he will protect Nelle with his life, to the point of giving control of his conscious to Void Impulse.

Bio: Because their family left the world earlier than most, Zwein had been living with his brother in solitude ever since. Their parents were hated for what they done, and right after they left, it was all blamed onto the only two living Ryners. They were despised, hated and no later had Zwein’s brother guaranteed that they can travel to another city without any worries for their daily needs that they quickly departed from the village.

Although things never went their way, the mood never fell to despair. Breakfast, lunch, dinner and even at work, their smiles never left their faces. Even if they worry about their financial standings, they would laugh at each other and manage to squeeze out every last drop of their happiness onto their faces. But things were never meant to go your way.

3 years since they’ve survived on their own, Zwein’s brother had encountered an unknown disease. No doctor would treat to him as they were never rich to begin with, and slowly, as days pass by, his brother’s life force drains away. The 12 year-old Zwein could do nothing but to take care of his bedridden brother. He works as a bounty hunter, hunting various dark guild mages and preventing assassinations, and Zwein then had thought that that’s why he was infected with a disease. Zwein continuously asked for help from magicians, but they wouldn’t help without a reward in return.

The powerless Zwein could nothing but look after his poor weak brother. And so the day comes, Zwein’s brother drew his last breath. Before passing on, he gave Zwein his two blades that had been his partners since forever. Of course, Zwein was reluctant. He begged for his brother to continue to live, but all he said was that he wished he could’ve spend more time with their family. Since then, Zwein had been living by himself with his power, barely keeping himself every time and ends up resorting to stealing.

At the same year, he met a girl 3 years younger than him. She had a hair of sky blue, eyes of deep oceanic blue. Alone there, she was crying in an alleyway. Taking her into his protection, Zwein now had the responsibility of filling up two people’s hunger. Of course, stealing could never help them forever. Soon they were caught by wizards. Zwein fought back with all his strength, selling his conscious to Void Impulse, the black sword, in return for power. But he was no match against the professional wizards. He was subdued quickly after, and yelled out something that piqued the guild leader’s interest. He was then recruited into the guild Fairy Tail, and that was when he found his second family.

Magic: Lightning Spear – Zwein throws Void Impulse towards his opponent. If he falls for the bait, Zwein will appear right behind him using teleportation magic and then he will end the opponent with either a downward vertical slash or the pierce from Void Impulse.

Fencer Mode – Although Zwein uses two blades, he can still make-do with only one of them. Fencer Mode is used by a rapier-type weapon, but Divine Cross is his only substitute weapon. This mode relies on quick speed and accurate piercings, so it’s only good for when fighting one on ones.

Swordsman Mode – Relies on slash and heavy cuts. Void Impulse is undoubtedly the best role for this as it focuses on swings and cuts instead of piercings unlike Divine Cross. Any weapon that does more slashing is okay. This mode is best suited for battles against more than one enemy.

Double blade Mode – In this mode, Zwein brings out the full potential of his blades. As he feels comfortable with two blades, he is used to it. He can unleash streams of combos without rest, causing thin injuries but if lucky enough, he can hit his opponent’s vitals and kill them.

Teleportation Blades – Utilizing his teleportation magic, he lets out a huge stream of attacks. He teleports himself to confuse his opponent, while still effectively executing his pierces, even though it’s not something heavy. Slowly, the speed gets more fast, and at the peak of his current power, he will end the combo with a upward diagonal cut from the front.

Kai Fetegori

It was another one of those days in the guild. Not in a bad way obviously. Kai loved his guild, and everyone in it; Layden, the Lualdi siblings, Seraphina, Enna, Daimen, Soriu, Acelin, Zephyrine, Hiromi, Kento, Kisara, Andrea, (Even) Jikan, Roxie, Will, Soran, Zwein, and Rosas. He loved everyone in it with his life and would do anything to protect it. Saying that it was another normal day was good because no harm or danger would come to them. That's what made him so glad.

Though, Kai was also glad because he could sleep in. Perhaps he was the guild master, a very powerful mage who reigned over a whole entire guild, but he was also an old man, despite his youthful appearance. Old men have to get extra sleep to you know? He didn't mind though because most of the guild members didn't mind, so he got at least a few extra minutes in, just hoping it wouldn't be too loud on the bottom floor where everyone would drink and eat and do their daily business.

The Lualdi Siblings

Isako was sitting down at a table on the bottom floor. She was one of the first ones to get up, earlier than most, and sat down there for around a whole hour and a half. She didn't mind though. It was due to the fact that her health was in a strange condition and she had a few problems here and there. Quietly, she sipped a bit of tea from her cup, and put it back down as she got up to look at the bulletin board for any new quests that she may be able to handle alone, although that would be quite difficult.

Her brother though, Shibuya, just like the guild master, was still in bed, but he was a bit more active than that, seeing how he wasn't an old man. He was up, but he was tired, getting up most times even after Kai would wake up. While walking out of his apartment, which was about four blocks from Fairy Tail, he began to wonder what quest he would take. But while thinking, he entered Fairy Tail without realizing, and immediately tripped on some water spilt near the entrance from the fresh rain a day ago.

"There's water there." Isako said without having to turn around, although her comment was a bit late for her brother to hear, seeing how she said it just after he slipped.

"Thanks..." Shibuya answered with a grumble as he got up, rubbing his forehead where he fell first and where the impact of the fall was.

Jikan

Jikan hadn't slept in days, and it wasn't bothering because she chose not to. She's stayed awake longer, and she didn't care. She didn't care about anything for that fact actually. From the upper floor, she looked around, trying to find the guild master, but when she didn't, Jikan smirked as she leaned on the wooden rail so she wouldn't fall, "That lazy old man... Who knows what could go wrong when you're sleeping past the accidents." She chuckled while moving her black hair out of her face but then became expressionless the next moment and said quietly underneath her breath to herself, "Boring. I can't do anything right now other than watch."

Pant.

Everywhere he ran, there were enemies. There was no way he could have ran. He couldn't have. Not when he's holding the godforsaken heavy crystal figure he was carrying. He could only fight with one hand, but the enemies were strong to repel most of the strikes, if not dodge. Even Void Impulse is tried from being blocked all the time. "Hey, Zwein. You should really forget about that ugly figure and let me fight these bastards. There's no need for you to fight anymore. You're too weak." The dark and heavy voice of Void echoed inside Zwein's head. He kept silence. He needs to focus on the situation more than having a conversation with some irritating sword who does nothing but tried to take over your body. "5'o clock, Zwein! Their armed!" The silent Divine Cross warned Zwein. He turned around to find 2 figures approaching him with armed blades.

He already exhausted his magic powers, and his magic was jammed with something, and now he can only fight using his own strength. A man jumped on him with an axe, but Zwein swiftly blocked the attack. Usually, he will have no problem with this, but this time, he already used up too much of his stamina running. Another took the opening on his unguarded side and grazed him. Luckily, he dodged the attack just on time for a graze. He charged in front and engaged in a fight with the two, receiving light cuts on his body with every movement. Stressing his body, he managed to take care of the two, but now his body is filled with light cuts and severe exhaustion. If another ones catches up to him, he might not be able to fight back. Knowing that, he murmured a curse and continues his walk towards the location where he will rendezvous with Nelle, who had gone to find the cause of the magic power jamming on his teleportation magic. Hopefully, with all the attention attracted to him, Nelle can sneak off into the base to find it. If not, he will abandon this thing and go find Nelle, even if it means him getting exhausted any further.

(Continuing this right after I finish Nelle. xD)
