Childhood/Family Life:
Parker grew up in a middle class neighborhood in southern Massachusetts. He was raised by his mother only, since Parker's father, and her then-boyfriend, left as soon as he found out that she was pregnant. His mother wasn't a teenage mother, she wasn't drug-addicted and had decent family support, so it wasn't like things were completely working against them from the start. However, raising a child on a single income, especially when you hadn't gone to college yourself, was difficult, and Parker's mother realized that soon after his birth. She refused to move back in with her parents for pride's sake, and found a small one bedroom apartment in a decent middle class neighborhood that she could afford. Parker grew up in a good school district, with the best possible life that his mother's income as a hairdresser could provide, but he was always "the poor kid", compared to his friends. It wasn't like any of them were very wealthy per se, but moth of them had two working parents, or at least one working parent who had a better job than his mother's. They all lived in real houses, with backyards and driveways and their own personal mailboxes, and it was the little things like that that always made him jealous. Even then, though, it wasn't like Parker was bullied or treated poorly by his peers as a young kid, so he was content with just internally longing for a more normal family life.

When he got older though, that changed a bit. His mother had only dated a few times when he was a child, and all of them were short term things, to a point where Parker never even met the men. His mother was good, in that respect, that she wasn't introducing random men to him and trying to force someone to fill the father role that created a void in his life. However, by the time that he entered middle school, as a middle aged woman, his mother was finally embracing her sexuality, and that she was bisexual. She began a relationship with another woman when he was in sixth grade, and by the time that he was in the ninth grade, the two were married. It wasn't something that bothered Parker personally, but once his friends found out, they did pick on him. It began as what probably seemed like harmless jokes by then, but as more people found out, it somehow convinced people that he was weird. He wasn't from a traditional upbringing like him, and therefore, he was suddenly unable to be related to, even by people who had acknowledged him as a good friend just weeks before. He still wasn't being completely bullied, to a point where he was tormented or physically picked on, but more than anything, it made him insecure and forced him to become a bit reclusive from his normal peers. He quit the baseball and track teams, stopped calling his friends on the weekend to see if they wanted to hang out, and began to hang out with a different crowd. It would be a lie to say that he suddenly turned into some "bad boy" rebel, but he began to tamper with gateway drugs and alcohol. Luckily, he had always been pretty smart, and he maintained his grades well enough, just because he knew that once it was time for college, he wanted to get out. Out of this town, out of this state... hell, at one point, he even considered leaving the country. However, he eventually settled on Fulton University, and has been attending since.

Quirks//Habits//Oddities:
 • He has a known "type" when it comes to girls, and that's girls who tend to be virgins or have little sexual experience, and who rock that whole "innocent" girl demeanor.
 • He's surprisingly smart. He's not the next Einstein or anything, but people wouldn't expect him to do as well in his courses as he does. However, he isn't studious and rarely studies for anything. The only indicator of him being a good student is that he tends to do his assignments right away, when they're assigned, rather than putting them off and procrastinating.
 • He likes spearmint gum, and is frequently carrying a pack.
 • He's rarely late for anything.

Good personality traits:
Perceptive | Charming | Independent | Friendly

Bad personality traits:
Controlling | Manipulative | Sensitive | Impulsive

Personality:
Parker is one of those guys who are dangerous, because he'll rope you in with that charming smile and those bright blue eyes, maybe a question about your childhood or an intelligent conversation about something, and then he'll pounce. He'll get you thinking that he's a nice guy, someone who's genuinely interested in you, and not just your body, and you'll only realize the truth the next morning when you wake up alone in your bed, since he left an hour before without saying goodbye or even thanks for the fun night. He'll either never speak to you again, and act like nothing ever happened, or he'll insist that you do it again, but he'll never want more than just casual sex, on his terms, with you. You'll realize that his flirting is strictly an attempt at getting into your pants, and that he's so manipulative and good with his words, that even you, someone who prides themselves in being perceptive and on-guard, fell for it. That's his biggest strength, in his mind, but also a major flaw, in mainly everyone else's minds. He has a thing for girls who seem like they're new to guys like him, and will fall for his tricks, and it's fucked up, but he lives off of that power streak.

On that note, you would probably wonder how anyone could be friends with Parker? He's a power-hungry, manipulative guy who seems to prey off of girls who are just looking for love. You're right there, but just like any other human being, Parker has more than one side, and if you're not someone that he wants to have sex with, you probably will never even see that side of him. What you will be more privy to, is the side of Parker that makes him so easy to like, that he can manipulate people. And if his intentions aren't to manipulate you, than this side is pretty genuine. He's playfully competitive when it comes to sports or video games, and never turns down a challenge. He's friendly and can keep conversations, intelligent or small talk, going without any issues, and since he knows what it feels like to be belittled, he does a good job at making people feel like he's interested in what they're saying. Especially with his Sigma brothers, he's loyal and dedicated, but this extends to anyone who he's friends with, really. He's intelligent, punctual, and a responsible student.

Aside from the girls who see him as a guy who just wants to use them for sex, most people actually find Parker to be a decent guy. That's because most of his other flaws are internalized ones, where he's very insecure about himself and is always looking to fit in with other people, even if it means going against his values and morals.

Greatest joys in life:
Right now, his greatest joys are partying, and all of the bad vices that come with that, girls, and feeling in control. Catch him wasted on three AM after a Friday night of partying, though, and he'll tell you that pizza is the absolute best thing that has ever existed in his life.

Greatest fears:
He has a fear of being outcasted or looked down upon, due to his experience in high school. He doesn't like being the odd one out in a group. He's scared of failing out of college (even though it's pretty unfounded), and of not being able to get a job.

Life philosophy:
"Just do it."

Thoughts on Greek Life:
Parker really enjoys being a part of Greek Life. He never had any siblings, so having his Sigma brothers has given him a sense of family and brotherhood that he never had growing up. Being a Sigma, and being so understandably involved in partying has been appealing to him as well, not only because it's fun, but because it gives him an excuse to drink and use party drugs excessively, rather than confront his emotions and thoughts. In terms of sororities, he has to admit that he probably favors the Thetas and Alphas over the Zetas only because he has a thing for that "good girl" type. It's more prevalent in the Thetas than the Alphas, but even some of the Alphas have that whole "I'm too good to even think about touching you" thing going on, and he loves proving them wrong.

Plans for after college:
His biggest post-college goal is to get a job, and a good paying one, at that. He wants to make money, and even though he has no intentions of starting a family any time soon, he wants to save up enough money so that his future kid will never be deprived of anything. Although he likes Florida (aside from its heat), he thinks that spending some time in a big city, like New York or Los Angeles, would be fun, while he's still young.

Image

Image
Build:
Parker stands at 6'0, and maintains an athletic figure that's neither too bulky, nor too frail. He goes to the gym regularly but does more cardio than weight lifting.

Hair Colour:
It's a light brown color, that, when it gets frequent sun, sometimes almost turns light enough to be considered dirty blonde.

Eye Colour:
Blue

Distinguishing Marks:
N/A

Style:
His style is simple and mainly casual. T-shirts or sleeveless shirts and shorts, matched with a pair of sandals or sneakers work fine for him. He dresses for comfort, plus, he doesn't have the money to buy designer stuff, even if he was interested in that.

So begins...

Tuesday, October 4 || 12: 30 PM || Location: South Campus Lawn || Weather: Sunny, partly cloudy with winds coming from the south

It was something about the day that had a certain kind of buzz trickling into each and every vein of each and every student on the campus of the magnanimous Fulton University. Seniors and professors alike would tell you that it was perhaps the excitement of the upcoming Homecoming Week, which would mark the return of esteemed alumnae whose legacies were still felt in the halls they once occupied. Older staff members might say it was the stifling heat of the near oppressive Miami sun, its beams bearing down on each and every individual as they made their way across campus, some wearing less stifling clothes than others. The promise of water rides and cool refreshments for later in the afternoon practically drying tongues with anticipation for the Annual Fulton Carnival. However, as newer and the band of less sentimental students would tell you, perhaps...it was the thrill of the unknown...of the spine-tingling allure of Rush Week. While the Student Organization Fair was exciting in and of itself, there was still something devastatingly seductive about seeing the booths for the competing Greek houses, all of their members decked out in their Greek colors. The synergy of their competitive spirits was electric in the air and there was no telling what could happen before the rest of the day's celebrations...

To be quite fair, it was not like Naomi had left the girls, Xanthe in particular, unprepared. For one, she had specified that she needed to finalize the plans for the foam party, which meant overseeing the yacht docking, making sure that catering was still on, and the other small details she needed to iron out while simultaneously making sure that they had enough snacks and such for those who visited the Alpha Theta Pi. They had been decorating since Sunday and Naomi had had the small menu - yes, she was doing extra and no, she did not give a damn - for snacks planned out back on Saturday. Xanthe didn't have those things planned out. Naomi just wanted to see how she would handle dealing with having to keep track of which of the Alpha ladies could leave duty at what time, greeting and informing prospective members while getting contact information from the ones that really stood out, and keeping up when food started to run out. She had left an hour ago and she had been getting one of the seniors to keep her updated on the sophomore's progress.

With her plans having been laid down in full last night, Naomi had been with the first wave of Alpha Theta Pi members setting the booth up and getting the food to the Lawn where all of the organizations, non-Greek affiliated included, were setting up. Like Naomi, some of the other girls who had helped earlier, especially seniors who needed all the credits they could get to graduate on time, had to leave. But she made it a point that everyone, much like every other Greek organization, had to wear the house colors. While she had made it clear that the girls could wear either pink or green, Naomi had done well with incorporating both colors into her ensemble. Her apple-green dress wasn't one of her most expensive items, not that she normally checked which brands she wore, but her elegance and refinery still stone through with the garment was accompanied by Lily Pulitzer sandals, Hellmuth bracelet from Portero, and Samira pearl-drop earrings. Naomi ran a hand through her hair idly as she closed the driver's side door of her Bugatti Chiron. Just as she made sure it was locked, she noted a few guys from the football team, shirtless, and painted in Fulton's school colors and had to laugh. "This is about to be interesting," she mused to herself quietly and stepped onto the sidewalk and headed to the gate to blend in with the throng of students coming and going.

After checking with the yacht her father had made sure to dock in Miami, Naomi did herself - and Jade - a favor by actually getting food without being prompted. She had drank a small mug of coffee when she first woke up, but stopped at Pasión del Cielo - a place she had found with Chantal - for the largest vanilla latte they had and an empanada. Nibbling on the flaky treat, she got the idea to text Jade a picture of her good deed for the day while simultaneously checking up on her favorite people. She didn't have to rush back to the Alpha booth anyway, after all.

To: Jade
See!? Eating w/out prompting lol! Aren't u proud of me?

To: Zan
Everything good?

To: Kat, Tamara
You guys behaving lol??

To: Chanti

A good thing about the underclassman Sigmas was that they were all really enthusiastic. A lot of the juniors, and Jack's fellow seniors were too, but he knew that he could always count on the sophomores to be up bright and early, have grins on their faces, and be able to maintain a sense of energy that Jack never could muster up in the mornings. He wasn't a morning person to begin with, and add in the fact that he was always, somehow, running late for whatever it was that was on his schedule, it was no surprise that he didn't reach the Sigma booth until around 12:45, when he had promised to be there no later than noon. He'd excuse part of the lateness due to his ten AM class running a little late, but even then, he still found the time to make it to the dining hall and chow down on a couple of tacos before casually making his way to the south lawn, where the student organization fair was being held. It wasn't that Jack didn't care about representing the Sigma brothers appropriately or that he was even trying to shove the hard work onto the other guys... he just didn't prioritize certain things as well as he should. What always came first was his happiness, and as long as he wasn't hurting anyone, he didn't think it was a problem. It wasn't like he was holding a gun to the other guys' heads anyway, forcing them to be there. Luckily, the majority of the other Sigmas were just as chill as Jack was. No one really complained about petty things, and they just did what they needed to do to have fun.

He was pleased to find that most of his Sigma brothers were still at the booth, and that there was a few freshman by it to, expressing their interest in the fraternity. As he approached, he caught the tail end of one of his juniors, Bentley's explanation for why a group of guys should consider pledging Sigma. "Yeah, we've got all that good stuff plus more access to beer and babes than any other house on this campus. If you actually wanna have "the" college experience, you pledge Sigma. Simple as that. If you wanna be coerced into wearing a suit for no reason in the Miami heat, and have half the girls on campus thing you're a pretentious douche, head over to the Beta booth. Your call." He offered them a shrug of his shoulders, but his smile soon turned wider as he held out his head, "But I guess I'm a little biased, since I'm Sigma president. Jack Decker. If you guys need any additional help in figuring out that Sigmas are the way to go, come by our party on Friday. The info's on the flyers over here, but hit me up on Facebook or Instagram if you've got any other questions about our house." A few minutes later, when the boys left, seeming pretty interested, Jack gave Bentley a friendly slap on the back. "They seemed decent. Good find, man," he said, before directing his next words towards the rest of the group in general. "What's the consensus been, guys? We looking good for this pledge season, or what?" He checked the time on his phone, and saw that it was steadily getting closer to one in the afternoon. While the fair was supposed to last until two, Jack didn't see the need in keeping any of his boys there until then. The carnival started at three, and while Jack had no intentions of getting there that early, like with most events, the Sigmas needed some time to pregame. The carnival might have ended up being fun sober, but really, they wouldn't be Sigmas if they even thought of doing that. "And I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to call it a day with this event. All of our flyers are basically gone, so kudos to you, Parker, for printing that shit out for me last night at three in the morning." He offered the junior a grin as he shamelessly addressed the last-minute preparations for today's event, and how unorganized their booth probably seemed compared to the others. "But yeah, let's clean this shit up and get out of here. Azzi, you picked up the liquor last night, right? And Parker, you've got bud? I'll see if any of the Zetas wanna come over before the carnival." He barely waited for the other boys to answer before heading across the lawn to where the Zeta booth was situated. He had only just seen Lorraine's text, so he didn't feel bad opting to answer her in person, rather than over the phone. "Just saw your text. Me and the boys are calling it quits early today with this fair, but we're gonna start getting ready for the carnival in a little. We've got a shit load of liquor and bud, so you and any of your other Zeta girls are welcome," he said with a grin, upon finding Lorraine at the booth.

Annabelle looked out the window, wondering why so many people were outside and why the house was so quiet this early. Her mind took in the banners and the stalls and realised that it was Rush Week all over again. She remembered her own; finding her way through the crowds and knowing absolutely no one there. God, that had been scary. Still, she had found her way to Theta Chi and that was always a good think as far as Annabelle was concerned. Slowly, Annabelle made her way to her wardrobe. She vaguely remembered agreeing to help out on the stall. So no jeans.

Annabelle dug through her wardrobe, searching for the elusive blue dress her mom bought her in the summer. 'Well, now that you're Theta, you've got to look the part'. That apparently meant wearing dresses. What the hell, it was just one week that she had to act like a girl then she could go back to living in jeans and sweatpants. Annabelle pulled the dress and a pair of flats from the bottom of her wardrobe and quickly dressed.

Annabelle grabbed her purse and ran out the door. She had no idea what time it was, but she was guessing afternoon from the people milling about. "Make sure to stop by Theta Chi's stall, guys. Coolest people you are ever likely to meet." Annabelle said to a passing group of students as she hurried across the grass. She stopped by the table for a moment to get her breath back and gather her wits. She spotted Lex in the crowd, chatting with a group of girls. Chantal was out there too. Annabelle grabbed a pile of leaflets from the table, handing out leaflets to interested parties. A group of girls were lingering by the table. "Hey girls, you interested in Theta Chi?" One of them, a small dark haired girl with a round face nodded. "Nervous? Don't worry, everyone is when they first start college. Hell, I was a nervous wreck during my rush week, but the girls in Theta are honestly some of the nicest girls you will ever meet. We're sisters in every way but blood," she said, handing leaflets to the girls, "And, we don't expect you to be perfect, we just want you to be you. I hope I'll see you girls during rush week, don't be strangers." The girls said their thank yous and headed off, soon being lost to the crowd. God, had she looked that young during her rush week? That unsure? Annabelle heard Chantal's voice behind her, asking Melanie how things were going. Annabelle slowly shifted into the crowd, knowing how much Chantal hated tardiness, searching for Lex. She found her with Pritika, who seemed to have just arrived. "Were we like this during our Rush Week, Lex? Because if I was, at least tell me I didn't look twelve."

Blake stood in the sun, quietly cursing the sun. It was October, for crying out loud, it should be getting cold. The rest of the country was getting cold. But not Florida. No, never Florida. Still, he thought, looking over the female population of the campus, the hot weather wasn't all bad. Skirts and shorts were out in force and Blake was never going to complain about that. Why in the fuck were the Betas wearing suits? Blake shook his head. He was wearing a t-shirt and jeans, and that was bad enough in this heat.

"We are the ultimate college experience, guys," he was telling a group of freshmen. "The biggest parties, the best frat house, no other house even comes close to our den, trust me, I looked. The wildest parties you've seen on TV? That's just an average party for us Sigmas. Unlike the other frat houses, we know how to have a good time. You want girls? You wanna party and get so wasted you forget where you are? Join Sigma. You wanna stand in a three piece suit in this heat, join Beta. But trust me, go Sigma for the best college experience. You're paying to be here, why not enjoy yourself?" He handed them the last of the leaflets in his hand.

Blake looked back over to the table and saw Jack talking to the rest of the guys. Blake jogged back to the table. "And I don't know about you guys, but I'm ready to call it a day with this event. All of our flyers are basically gone, so kudos to you, Parker, for printing that shit out for me last night at three in the morning. But yeah, let's clean this shit up and get out of here. Azzi, you picked up the liquor last night, right? And Parker, you've got bud? I'll see if any of the Zetas wanna come over before the carnival." Blake already knew that Lorraine would be up for whatever Jack was planning, and she would bring at least a handful of girls with her. She could always be counted on for a good time. He probably knew that better than he should.

"Alright guys, only a few of us need to be here to clean up. Me and you three," he said, pointing to a group of guys whose names were escaping him at that moment in time. Shit, he needed to get on top of that. "We'll clean up and we'll see you guys in like, ten, fifteen minutes max. You guys cool with that?" He asked the guys he had singled out.. They nodded, and a few quiets sures met his ears. "Sweet, I'll see you guys inside."

"this is who i am. nobody said you had to like it."

Caspian Vaughn Siyansky was in no rush. It was already hot as hell outside, not only that, but apparently he found out at the last minute that all betas and alphas are to recruit new members. It was just too damn hot out for all this and Casper is not one to like heat, then again who would ever in their right mind pass up a day out of class? No homework, teachers, but most importantly no freaking homework.

Surely, casper wouldn't.

So, there he was sporting a freshly new black and medallion yellow polo and a pair of white baggies. He made no effort to look presentable; however, he still managed to look fine in the outfit he was wearing. At least that's what the girls thought when they saw him whirling through the parking lot of the south campus lawn. They gawked at the way he made his dramatic approach to the function; music blaring to the beat of a newly found rap song that topped the charts, the way the sun reflected on the roof of his ferrari, blinding the eyes of many as they stopped and stared at the god-like creature driving the exotic motor vehicle.

Casper was used to all the staring. Not only was he incredibly good-looking, but he was one bad ass dude. Teachers hate him, students love him it's really all in the perspective of how you perceive him as either the boy who tends to fuck up most of the times, or the guy who knows how to have fun. However, Casper didn't mind. love, or hate him either way he's on your mind.

Turning the volume to maximum, he got a few admires his way as they heard the sick beat that was far better than that Taylor Swift shit that the faculty was playing at the fair. Hoots and hollers came his way, praising him on. Some began dancing, and others, like the omega's and the kappa's only scolded him maybe even envied him a bit. He threw a smirk their way as he pumped the accelerator with the toe of his shoes causing the engine to roar to life.

He parked the car in its usual parking space, and headed for his booth. He wasn't surprised to find only a handful of his sorority brothers were present. It was only twelve twenty-five, so most of them wouldn't probably be coming until half past twelve thirty.

Where the hell was J-D anyway?

Casper was about to contact him until Orion took Casper in a head-lock, and rubbed his knuckles against his black faux hawk, hard.

"Your ass just couldn't help yourself, but cause a scene. Huh, Siyansky?" The sigma sneered at the same time Casper broke out of his grip.

The older sigma's just loved to tease him. He was the baby of the sorority, and jack's 'little brother', so the taunts and mocking gestures were standard.

"It's called 'gaining popularity'," he waves a hand at all the newcomers making their way over to their booth in a heap, "thank me later. By the way, where's Jack?"

Orion snorted. "Who knows." Then, left to help with the ass-load incoming freshmen wanting to be the next sigma chi delta. Let's just say business was booming for them, and Casper did not have the energy for that. He had other things to do, like be with Lorraine of course.

"Val," he purred as he was at the Zeta's booth, "don't you look ravishing in that skimpy dress of yours." He couldn't help himself other than kiss up to her.

It wasn't later until Jack's late-ass finally showed up, already barking orders.

Parker laughed at Jack's late appearance, and the shout out he got for printing out the Sigma flyers last night. What could he say? He was a good Sigma, and he didn't mind picking up some slack to make sure that their booth was presentable for the day. While he had helped set up the booth that morning, he had to leave for a good amount of the actual event to attend a class, and had only returned a few minutes before Jack had gotten back. Although Jack didn't seem interested in sticking around for very long, and Blake did a good job at picking out enough guys to get everything cleaned up, Parker didn't mind helping to sleep up the clean-up process. He did want to get back to the house soon, to give him enough time to make sure that he actually did have enough bud to go around for whoever showed up at their pre-party, but he had time. One of the things that Parker appreciated the most about the Sigma house, was that no one ever really seemed to be in a rush. People kind of just did things on their own schedules, which meant that things were a lot more relaxed than other houses. It also meant that during events like these, they probably came across as slackers, and maybe for good reason, but that was a trade that Parker was willing to make, if it meant having more fun. He grabbed a rolling cooler that had been filled with drinks for the guys manning the booth, along with a couple of folding chairs that belonged to the Sigma house, and headed back towards the front of the booth.

Along with Blake, he spotted Camille, and he found himself smiling at her presence. He had just missed her question to Blake, about being invited to the party, but if he had, he would have confirmed that she was not only invited, but required to come. Since he hadn't heard it, all he offered her was a grin and, "Looking good, Cam," before turning to Blake and saying, "Hancock, I'm taking these back to the house. If you guys end up needing more help, just call me and I'll head back over. Otherwise, I'm gonna help prep for this pregame." With that, he headed back towards the Sigma house, sending a text to the Sigma guys saying, "If you wanna light up tonight, I've got the good stuff, but chip in fee is $3". He knew the other Sigmas wouldn't mind chipping in. Parker had connections that allowed to get him a lot of drugs, and rather than take on a normal job on campus, he had sort of resulted to dealing, at least to his Sigma brothers and the other houses, to allow him enough spending money to get by during the school year. His family wasn't impoverished, but they weren't wealthy either, so it was necessary for him to do something to make a little bit of extra money.

"Girl, I was one of the most obnoxious freshmen known to humanity. But yeah, we didn't look twelve, that much I do know." Lex answered.

Annabelle said a quick 'hi' to Kara when she came over. At the moment, Kara was sticking pretty close to Lex. That was normal, Annabelle figured. She knew that she'd been the same when she first joined Theta; following the girl that had been the first to speak to her for the first few weeks until she found her feet. It was kind of sweet really. Still, Kara was pretty cool. She'd fit right in with Theta, Annabelle could feel it.

"Yea, Lex. A pain in the ass then, a pain in the ass now and you two were a little underdeveloped when you guys were their age."

Annabelle looked down at her chest. It wasn't huge but it was definitely there. "Rude." She said in mock-outrage. Poppy laughed loudly, her laugh descending into a snort. Poppy managed to get herself together enough to gently admonish Chantal.

"Oh, c'mon! They know I'm kiddin'. 'Side look at their beautiful bodies and faces to match if I may say so myself."

Annabelle twirled on the spot. She curtsied awkwardly. If she were being realistic, her dress was completely the wrong shape to be curtsying in, but it was Rush Week and no one seemed to care about much. "You're too kind, Madam President."

"Pops, if you could toss that trash. That would be awesome. I'll take one of the letters back if one of you get the Chi. But, other than that what do you guys have planned until the carnival?"

Annabelle grabbed a box and climbed on top of it, careful to make sure her dress wasn't riding up too much. She unpinned and carefully folded the Theta symbol before jumping down. She tucked the letter under her arm as she looked over the field at the remaining members of the various houses. She saw Parker heading in and felt her cheeks warm. She was pretty certain that he hadn't seen her, but he was cute. Annabelle turned her attention back to Chantal."My plan is to put something on that covers my legs. Beyond that, I haven't got a clue. Unless you need me for something?"

Blake gathered the banners, crumpling the paper under his arm. He looked over the field to check how Jack was getting on with the Zetas. Not that they would take much persuading. As he did, he saw Camille coming towards him. "Closing up shop? Well, I guess it's in my nature to be fashionably late." She twirled as she spoke.

Blake took a moment to admire how her dress hugged her curves. "Well, someone's looking good today. Special ocassion? Someone special?" he asked, a smirk tugging at his lips. He knew that there wasn't any prospect of a guy with Camille. Like him, she wasn't one for relationships. They had their arrangement, which Blake was more than happy with.

"There's no coincidence Zeta and Sigma are shutting down at the same time. There's a party, am I invited?"

Before Blake could answer, Parker came over. He complimented Cam before turning to Blake. "Hancock, I'm taking these back to the house. If you guys end up needing more help, just call me and I'll head back over. Otherwise, I'm gonna help prep for this pregame."

"I think we'll be good. Have fun without me for a while." Blake dumped the banners in the bins. "Of course you're invited. I'm pretty sure attendence is compulsory for Sigma's and Zeta's. Even if it wasn't, I'm sure Jack wouldn't mind you being there." Blake looked about and realised that the guys were pretty much finished clearing up the Sigma stall. " Looks like we're pretty much done here. I'll see you later, yeah?"

Jack laughed at Lorraine's comments, but didn't "shoo" without saying, "Good, and you better bring a crowd too. I wanna have fun tonight." A party with just Sigmas was fun in itself, but Jack wasn't looking for tonight to be a sausage fest, and if he wanted the pregame to be fun and sexy, that meant that he had to have his Zeta girls there. "Siyaknsky, don't be pissing off any of my Zeta darlings," he chided playfully, upon noticing his Little. He couldn't leave before slapping Casper in the back of the head playfully, as another extra warning, but as he crossed back over to the Sigma tent, he saw Blake that Blake had done good in taking he lead in wrapping things up. He gave him a thumbs up, but since things seemed taken care of, he followed a few yards behind Parker, who seemed to be heading back to the house too. It was only after he sent out two texts, one to Haezia, and one to Tamara, that he caught up with Parker, who looked to be sending out a text of his own, all while dragging a cooler and carrying a couple of fold-up chairs under his arm.

To: Haezia
Couldn't find you so I let your sidekick know that we're hosting the pregame tonight before the carnival. You better show up, and bring your potential pledges too

To: Tamara
T, ditch the pink and green and come over in a little. Pregaming before the carnival is only fun when you do it the Sigma way.

"Parker, wait up, man," he called out, taking the moment that Parker took to look back, as Jack's chance to quicken his pace to a jog, to catch up with him. He took the chairs that Parker was carrying, to even things out, and smirked as he glanced back at his phone and saw that he had been one of the recipients of Parker's text. "I got you on that three dollars, and I'll chip in enough to cover the girls tonight, too." Jack wasn't from a wealthy family at all, especially not when compared to the Betas or even some of the Sigmas, like Casper, but he had literally spent the majority of his summer working at his parents' diner, and saving up for the school year. As a freshman, sophomore and junior, Jack had taken on campus jobs to allow him spending money during the year, but this summer, he had done his best to save up enough so that he purposely wouldn't have to worry about working. Senior year was supposed to just be about fun, and since it was still early on in the year, he didn't feel too worried about his savings being depleted, so he didn't mind offering a little extra money to Parker, who was always good about supplying the house with the marijuana and party drugs they needed. "But tonight should be fun. I told Haezia to bring her potential pledges, too, so they'll be some youngins' around, since I know that's your type," he jabbed playfully. He was well aware of how Parker tended to be into girls a year or so younger than him, and especially the ones who seemed more vulnerable, like the Thetas. As long as they consented, which they always seemed to do, given Parker's charm, he couldn't feel bad for them, though. Parker was a player, but it wasn't like he wasn't a good Sigma while doing it.

When they got back to the house, Jack nodded towards the backyard. "Just leave that shit outside. We'll figure out where to put it in the morning. For now, we've gotta make sure we have enough stuff for the pregame. Think we should move the kegs into the yard? Seems like it's a nice enough day for a backyard pregame, ya think?" he asked Parker, waving to a few of the guys who seemed to have beaten them back to the house.

Lorraine watched an already drunk Andre stumble out of the Beta front door. The blonde enjoyed pre gaming, but even she knew when she needed to quit. But the desperate text and the way he came out to her made it clear what was going on. Mr Valentine was having a serious personal problem. She did not know exactly what it was, but anyone that hangs out with the Alpha’s must have issues all the time. Those girls were shifty and shady. No one knew that of course, but Lorraine knew better than to trust any of them. The blonde ran her fingers through her hair when Andre pulled out a wad of cash. As she went to protest, he stopped her. "Before you refuse, I am not taking those pills off of you until you take this. I am not leaving you empty-handed for the night." How could she refuse that cute desperate face of his? Rolling her eyes playfully, she took the cash and handed over the pills. He had given her more than enough money to buy more. She would have to invest in more dealings with Andre.

"I can get you some alcohol too, or anything else you want." Lorraine smirked and glanced down at the happy trail. If she did not already delay arriving at the Sigma pre-game, she just might have taken him up on his offer of beer and anything else she wanted. Biting her bottom lip, she stuffed her hands into her back pockets. ”You caught me at a bad time Valentine.” She took a few steps back, trying to keep her hands to herself. ”But catch me after the carnival and I might take you up on that beer.” The blonde winked playfully before turning on her heels and heading toward the Sigma house. Normally, Lorraine would not even hang out with him until they are both drunk. Only one of them was drunk right now, which does not make it very fun. But after a bit of pre gaming and carnival fun she should be up for it.

Picking up the pace, Lorraine arrived at the Sigma house and just let herself in. no need for a grand entrance or permission. Lory practically lived here. ”Jack darling. I’m here for the alcohol!” She called, walking further into the place. She looked around expecting to see Parker and Blake. Or even her Sigma flirt buddy, Cas. The blonde planted herself on the couch, getting very comfortable. ”Entertain me.” she added, teasingly so. At the same time she pulled out her phone she sent Cas a flirty text.

Parker spent a little while helping set up for the pregame. It didn't entail much, since the Sigmas were pretty simple, and knew that all that they needed to have a good time was a copious amount of alcohol, some snacks, music and people. However, when all of the beer pong tables were set up, the kegs ready, coolers filled with beer cans and bottles, and a table covered in an array of liquor selections, the boys realized that they were running really low on mixers. Though a lot of the guys suggested that they were better off that way, since "only pussies can't drink their liquor straight", Parker knew that that wasn't going to work out. Maybe if this was Saturday night, and they were just throwing one of their usual parties, but they had a school function to attend. This was just the pregame. They needed a good buzz, but they didn't need to reach a blackout drunk level, so after all of the boys chipped in, Parker offered to be the one to run across campus to the convenience store to pick up some bottles of soda. While he was there, he bumped into a friend who wasn't a part of the Greek system. Regardless, Parker invited him to the Sigma house for their pregame, and knowing that the Sigma boys weren't against extra faces, if it meant more fun, he put on a friendly face and invited, essentially everyone else who was on line with them. He wasn't sure if any of them would actually show up, but since most of them looked younger - maybe freshman or sophomores - he figured that extending the invite would at least ensure that the Sigmas lived up to their friendly, always trying to have fun, reputation.

Once he was back at the Sigma house, he sent out a few more texts to see if anyone else non-Sigma wanted to come over. Part of it was done out of sheer friendliness, and part of it was done because Parker was bored and wanted some fun interaction tonight. Even though the carnival started at three, since it went on until midnight, it wasn't likely that the Sigmas were going to leave their house for at least another couple hours, so he had time to make a few moves, depending on who showed up.

To: Lex
The boys and I are hosting a pregame tonight. If you're interested, stop by. Bring your girls ;)

To: Annabelle
Hey, this might be a really random text, so sorry about that in advance, but this is Parker Sullivan. I'm friends with Lex, in your house, and she gave me your number a while back. Just wanted to see what you were up to tonight :). If you're not busy, stop by the Sigma house with your friends. We're pregaming for the carnival. Anyone's welcome.

To: Kat
Come over, Katherine :). I haven't seen you in a while.

To: Jade
I'm sure you Alphas are too busy for us common folk, but stop by the Sigma house if whatever pregaming plans you have fall through. Promise we have lots of vodka!

To: Jack
Anything else you need me to do? Music sounds good, glad we invested in those new speakers

In true Sigma fashion, the pregame appeared to have only just started, but was already lively. Whoever was DJing was doing a good job with the play list, he already spotted a few girls who deserved more than the flirtatious "hellos" he offered them, and mixed drinks were almost immediately concocted once he set the sodas down on the drink table. Though he was ready for a drink himself, Parker took ten minutes to run upstairs to his bedroom to change into a more casual outfit, spritz on some cologne, fix his hair, and then come back downstairs. As he was returning to the front of the house, he spotted (and heard) Lory making her grand entrance, and that immediately elicited a smile from him. "Ah, my favorite blonde," he grinned with a smile. "We're pregaming out back tonight. They've got the music, the beer pong tables, and the alcohol out there... so I'm sure you'd rather be out there than on that couch. And if those aren't enough reasons for you to get up, I'm pretty sure Siyansky fucked the life out of a girl on that couch a few nights ago, so if you sit there for much longer, you might need to go back to your house and take a shower," he concluded, adding in a wink for good measure. "I just got back to the house. Had to run out to get mixers, so who's here? All of your Zeta sisters better already be out back!" he questioned, playfully.

Jack expected no less, but as usual, the Sigma's pregame was already proving to be a good time, even though it had only just begun. After a minor mishap with running low on drink mixers, everything had been fixed, and people were having a good time, Jack included. He and Bentley had just kicked two fellow Sigmas asses in beer pong, and though Bentley insisted that Jack remain his partner for the next round, he turned him down. They did dominate the beer pong table and Jack was always up for some good competition, but his cup was empty, and that, along with making sure that everyone else was having a good time, took preference over another game... at least for now. He headed towards the kegs, sending out a couple of texts before he reached them.

To: Cam
You know I'm always down for a good time ;). Wya? not like you to be late for a Sigma pregame ;)

To: Haezia
Bentley's a shitty beer pong partner compared to you... hurry the fuck up and get over here! Can't let my legendary name be tarnished just because you decided to be late

To: Lorraine
Hope you're on your way over... come find me out back when you get here

To: Parker
Everything seems good... thx for getting the mixers. See some freshman faces too so good call on spreading the word

To: Casper
Wya

To: Blake
Wya

To: Korra
Wya

To: Chantal
Prove to me that the Thetas do more than just read Harry Potter all day. Sigma house in 10 minutes, or you automatically lose.

To: Chantal
And even though you're a loser at heart and I know you'll make up some excuse as per why you can't come, since you're scared of letting lose, think of tonight as a good way to prove to your potential recruits that Thetas can actually have a little bit of fun... in between all of that reading and note taking, of course

Jack wasn't referring to anything specific when he told Chantal that she was going to lose if she didn't show up to the house, but he knew she had a little bit of a competitive edge to her, and he hoped that challenging her would be a good enough way to get her out of the Theta house, and over to his. He wasn't holding his breath over her showing up, because she was a Theta after all, and no matter what, Jack would always associate with them as being the kind of girls who didn't know how to party, but he figured that it was worth inviting her. Chantal was fun and he wanted to loosen her up this year. Although he wasn't going to be surprised if she didn't show up, he was surprised that he hadn't seen Korra or Casper yet, and Haezia, Lory and Camille. The two Sigmas were probably floating around the backyard or the house, so Jack wasn't too concerned, but he was more interested in knowing where they were just so that he could hang out with them. The Zeta girls basically lived at the Sigma house, and vice versa, considering how many times one group got wasted at the other's party and ended up passing out on their couches, so he was surprised that some of his favorite Zetas had not shown their faces, either.

When he reached the kegs, he refilled his cup, and grabbed an empty cupped and filled that up as well. It wasn't meant for anyone in particular, but being the amazing host that he was (or liked to think he was), it wasn't out of character for Jack to offer drinks to anyone who didn't have one in hand. He wasn't the type to push it, if they said they were uninterested or didn't drink in general, but he found that frequently in the beginning of the year, especially when freshman were involved, some were too nervous to get their own drinks. They clearly were unaware that the Sigmas were cool with anyone making themselves at home at their house. Non-Sigma guys were usually charged a cover of five dollars to get in, by whatever Sigma was on duty to man the gates that night, but other than that, people were welcome to drink whatever they wanted, as long as they were having good time. Picking out a group of girls who definitely looked like freshman, Jack headed over to them with a smile on his face, and an arm quickly extending towards whatever girl whose gaze he caught first. "No drinks? Come on, ladies. This is the Sigma house you're at. Here, take this. Drinks are on us, tonight, as long as you ladies promise to make an appearance at our party with the Zetas on Thursday," he continued, a flirtatious grin present on his face as his words summoned giggles from the girls.

Lorraine spotted Parker and a smile came to her face. They were really good friends. Lory was really friends with all of the Sigma’s, but these two were actually friends. There was no past relationship of being together in anyway. The moment they met, they have stuck to being good friends. It works out nicely. Considering Lory things that she would have possibly been too much for Parker. He likes innocence and she was definitely far from it. They would have had a rocky sexual relationship. So remaining close friends was good enough."Ah, my favorite blonde," She flipped her blonde hair in response to her greeting. Parker went on to tell her that the party was out back, which was great. She had been sober way too long today. I'm pretty sure Siyansky fucked the life out of a girl on that couch a few nights ago, so if you sit there for much longer, you might need to go back to your house and take a shower," Lorraine pushed herself off the couch really fast. After she was done with this outfit, it would be washed thoroughly. ”I could have gone my whole life without you telling me that.” She teased, placing a hand on one of her hips.

"I just got back to the house. Had to run out to get mixers, so who's here? All of your Zeta sisters better already be out back!" Lorraine honestly had no idea where her sisters were. She had just gotten here and they had all gone to do their own thing after the fair. ”I actually don’t know where they are. But believe me, they will show up.” She promised. Lory started heading out back, knowing that Parker was headed out there too. She pulled out her phone when she received a message. And it was from Jack of course. Looking for her. Instead of responding she was just going to find him.

The moment she slid the back door open, she was greeted with a typical Sigma pre game. Beer pong tables were set up rather nicely. There were more than enough kegs lined up for everyone. The DJ was playing great music. And enough people were back here to consider it a party. ”Now this is a pregame.” The blonde said to no one in particular. She headed straight for the keg, no longer requiring her tall and handsome escort. She filled up her cup and sipped it. Crisp. Sigma’s always had the good stuff. As she drank her cup, she glanced around the backyard for Jack. He did want her to find him. It wasn’t long before she spotted him near some Freshman. Convincing them that the Zeta’s and Sigma’s were the best no doubt. Topping off her cup, she headed over to the Sigma President. ”Isn’t he just charming, ladies?” she teased.”Do you ever turn it off or do you keep your charm running 24/7?” She asked, before taking another sip of her drink. Then she glanced down at her outfit then back up at him. "Do you like my outfit? I picked it out for you."

Lex had just decided to go with shorts over jeans when Chantal's reply came. She waited until she actually had her shorts on before texting back.

To: El Presidente
Gimme a minute to find my shoes and I'll be up :D

As she kicked some shoes out of the way, searching for her trusty red Chucks, she glanced in the mirror to double-check the bruise was covered from all angles. She knew that she would probably just draw more attention to it by being self-conscious about it- but she also didn't want to have to deal with the awkward questions if it was seen. They were keeping this quiet for a reason.

She didn't bother tying her laces, just shoved her feet into her shoes, grabbed her phone and purse, and headed up to Chantal's room. The president, unsurprisingly, had the nicest room. Lex's wasn't bad, but it still didn't really compare. She knocked on the other girl's door. "This is your five second notice to put a shirt on," she yelled. As she was counting her five mississippis, her phone buzzed with a text from Parker.

To: Parker
Give me a bit, I'll be over. I'll try and drag some people along with me as well. Don't drink all the good stuff before I get there :P

She then opened the door to Chantal's room, heading straight for the bed and throwing herself on it. "We got an invite to the Sigma pregame. I don't know about you, but I'm going." A text from Kara, saying that she was already at the Sigma house, only confirmed that.

To: Kara
I'll be there before long, don't miss me too much ;)

"Oh, to business!" she moved to the edge of the bed, setting up a little. "Outfit. What are you going for? Casual? Sexy? Casual sexy?" She asked. She was at least ninety percent sure the caffeine rush had only been amplified by how she'd spent her time after drinking it, but everyone was used to her caffeine rushes by now. Besides, they'd seen her drunk. She was way worse when drunk.

Tuesday, October 4 || 6: 55 PM || Location: Fulton University Annual Carvinal || Weather: Sunset, still humid with light breezes

There was something about carnivals that brought out one's inner child. The whimsical surge of energy combined with various food stands packed with every sugary, fatty and downright delicious delicacy coating the sticky sweet air everyone breathed. Screams from passengers aboard rides echoed all around, little beeping noises from won games filled people's ears. The playful ambiance of such events welcomed couples holding hands, students and even families, all searching for a little bit of fun after a long day. Carnivals were places to have fun, to relive just a small piece of one's childhood. It was also a place where anything could go and perhaps, where certain rules no longer apply...

"Oh come on, Cunningham!" Naomi goaded, bending over to retrieve the white ball she missed in picking up from beside her Aquazurra sandal-clad feett. Once it was in her head, she quickly went back to the skeeball war she and Chantal had been in engaged in, playfully glancing over at the other woman before grinning. "Don't tell me that's the best you got." She laughed along with the overseer as they continued their rapid fire competition. The two had decided that the person would win the best three out of five. So far, they were neck and neck, which was as annoying as it was thrilling. It was a decent distraction, particularly after the day she had been having.

The truth was that, despite the fact that she was having fun with one of her best friends and even managed to get something on her stomach to give herself the much needed edge to get through the day without either passing out or killing someone, she wasn't actually calm. No, that was the point of finding games where she could expel as much energy and tension without actually finding Andre and punching him in his throat. Especially after his text. Naomi bristled at the thought and threw a ball just a little too hard, and it bounced off of the rim of the highest points she could have scored, which further made her upset. Who said she could tell him what to do anymore? Was he actually serious? How about the person who still could barely stand being in her presence for more than five seconds without storming off at some point? How about the person who text her continuously once they broke up because he wasn't ready to let go? How about - ?

Naomi scored two balls in the second highest point-giving hole and beamed. Andre pissed her off and she had really, really forced herself not to just dump all her things, find her way to wherever he was, and curse his ass to the fathomless pits of hell. She was impulsive enough to do it and literally hopped off her bed earlier with the desire to go after him. It wasn't until she had gotten another text from Chantal that she plopped down on the plush bed, took some breaths and then drank some water to clear her head. But that had not been enough to center her. Hell, playing carnival games with her bestie wasn't enough. It was just...satisfactory enough...at least until she felt less inclined to cut her ex. It came to a point that the game was over and, unsurprisingly considering her train of thoughts, Chantal won and Naomi playfully rolled her eyes as the Theta president picked out her prize. It was perfectly fine with Naomi. She had a pair of goofy sunglasses and a teddy bear to Chantal's first stuffed animal. They were bound to match up in terms of how many prizes they would win anyway.

"Look at you keeping up with me!" She cried dramatically and picked up her Angry Bird toy, and hugging it with one arm while her glasses fell on the top of her head. "Where to next? Or are you still feeling a little lush?"

Lorraine ripped off more of the pink and blue goodness and popped it into her mouth. The blonde loved the way cotton candy just melted on the tongue. It was the only thing that she actually enjoyed eating at carnivals. That and funnel cakes. It was something about powder on fried dough that made her tastebuds sing. That was the next thing on her eating list. Lorraine was beginning to get the munchies. One of the side effects of smoking weed. After sharing marijuana with John and Cam, she was mellowed out. Lory’s usual overly cheerful attitude and constant flirting has calmed down quite a bit. Now she was more concerned about the food she would be eating tonight. Lory was still up to flirting, but it was coming third to eating and games. She looked over at her company and offered some cotton candy to Ruby. Lorraine was always more than willing to share with this one. ”We should get on another ride before I feel compelled to buy a funnel cake.” She stated out loud while eating more cotton candy.

Lorraine was wondering where some of the others were. She wanted to hang out with them since she hasn't really been with them all day. She missed them. And if they had shown up to the Sigma Pregame, Lory did not see them. She was probably holed up inhaling relaxation. It was almost necessary for the blonde to see them right now. Pulling out her phone, she started sending out text messages.

;Jess
Where are you? I need to split my funnel cake with someone!

;Zia
I have barely seen you all day! Better be at the carnival

Those messages sent and Lory thought inviting more would be nice. She enjoyed hanging out with the Sigma's. And they could only imagine how much fun they had hanging with the Zeta's. So it would only be right for them to come and hang out with them as well.

;Jack, Parker, Blake
Come escort your favorite blonde around the carnival

There were two more message that needed to be sent. It wasn’t an extension of an invite, it was just to make sure she wasn’t forgotten about. Andres had almost made a promise to be with her after the carnival. She wasn't exactly holding him to it, but sending a teasing text was one of Lory's many flirting tactics. And for Jade, she just liked making the Alpha think about her when she shouldn't be. Depending on who she is with, her reaction to the message could be funny.

;Andres Rocha
I hope you aren’t too far gone for me? ;)

;Jade
I haven’t seen you since you ran away. Are you hiding from me now?

Lorraine pocketed her phone and finished whatever was left of her cotton candy. She tossed the cone into the nearest trashcan before linking arms with Ruby. ”Okay. Now we have already done the ferris wheel. So we need to get on a ride that makes me scream.” The blonde said, looking around for one that was good enough.

On looking at Lex, one would guess that she was sober. Her stride was rock-solid, even in her four-inch heels. Her balance was perfect, and her laughter wasn't out of the ordinary, especially when one considered her tendency to get caffeine rushes. But on actually talking to her, the alcohol in her system started to reveal itself. She was flirting with almost everyone on legs, and almost everything gave her a set of the giggles.

Perhaps it was for the better then that she lost some of her friends and had to have a sit down while she looked for them. An ice-cream in one hand, she pulled down her phone and sent out a couple of texts.

To: Chantal

Her common sense, which was, through some miracle, chiming in from time to time, told her that it would make much more sense to stay where she was. However, just because her common sense was still functioning, it didn't mean she was going to listen to it. She shoved her phone into her bag and stood up, continuing to eat her ice cream. She wasn't even entirely sure where she'd lost... whoever she'd been with. It was probably because she had really wanted an ice cream and had, knowing her, just surged off to get herself one. And now she was lost. Well, she wasn't lost, but she had lost her friends. She wasn't lost, they were. Or, at least, that was her reasoning.

Annabelle dropped her phone onto her bed. Her head was beginning to throb. She needed to sleep. An hour would probably shift the pain in time for the carnival. Most of the people she knew would be pre-gaming anyway. Right now, that was the last thing she wanted to be doing. She kicked her shoes off and rested her head on the cool pillow, letting her eyes slowly close.

Annabelle woke with a start. The late afternoon sunlight still illuminated the room through the blinds. She hadn't missed the carnival. That was good. And the throbbing in her head had stopped. She stood and shimmied out of her dress. Annabelle grabbed a t-shirt and a pair of shorts. If the weather this afternoon had been anything to go by, it was going to be a warm evening. No need for sleeves. She grabbed her boots and wiggled her feet into them, checking her phone while she did.

There was a message from an unfamiliar number. She quickly scanned over it. Oh God...it was Parker. She'd missed a text from Parker. She saved his number to her contacts list and sent a message back.

Parker:
Hey, sorry I didn't get back to you sooner. I was absolutely beat. I'll be at the carnival later though.

Annabelle read over the message, checking for typing errors. Satisfied that it was good, she pressed the 'send' button and slipped her phone back into her pocket. Annabelle realised that the house was abnormally quiet. She fished her phone out of her pocket.

Lex, Chantal
I appear to have awoken in a different century. Where are you guys at?

Annabelle grabbed her shoulder bag and headed down to the carnival in lieu of waiting for a reply. The carnival had been her favourite part of her own Rush Week, and it was still a highlight for her as she walked through the rush of lights and music. Squeals of joy and a little fear came from the people on the rides. Annabelle got herself a bag of cotton candy and wandered through the crowds, looking out for someone that she knew.

The pre-game was winding down now. An unspoken agreement appeared to have passed over the crowd that it was time for the carnival. Blake wasn't exactly disappointed with the news. It was starting to get hot in the house with everyone in it. He drained the last beer from his bottle and stood it on the side. He was kinda bummed out that he hadn't managed to find Lory or Cam in the crowd, but the girl he had been talking to almost made up for it. Still, he was pretty sure that he would catch up with the girls at the carnival.

It wasn't until Blake stepped outside that he realised how buzzed he was. Inside, he had barely noticed how the alcohol was hitting, but now he was. He wasn't drunk, far from it, but there was a warm fuzziness that meant he was going to avoid a hangover, so long as he didn't touch any more alcohol. Pfft, he thought, like that was gonna happen.

At the carnival, Blake took a moment to take in the view. Most of the girls on campus seemed to have opted for shorts or plunging necklines, or both in some cases. This was one of the many reasons Blake loved the carnival. Who wouldn't love an evening of alcohol, funfairs and beautiful women? As he was walking, his phone buzzed. He saw Lory's name appear on the screen.

Come escort your favorite blonde around the carnival

Despite himself, Blake laughed as he began typing.

To Lory:
Favorite? Really? ;) Sure. Let me know where you are and I'll come find you

Hudson's Outfit||||Katherine's Outfit
About thirty minutes passed since Hudson arrived at the Alpha house, and since he had left the carnival well before Andre and Naomi's paths had made an unfortunate intersection, he was helpless when a fellow Beta, Luke texted him, informing him of the blowout that had just occurred. What made it all worse, was that when Hudson checked his Snapchat, he found that Parker had posted a public story featuring a segment of the fight, with the caption "and they say we lack class? LOL" obnoxiously included in it. That in itself made Hudson feel inclined to text Parker and demand the video be taken down, but Hudson knew that that would be futile, because from what he had heard, and seen, the damage had been done. Enough people had been there to see Andre and Naomi go at it, and according to Luke, Andre was either wasted, or on something stronger than alcohol. Remembering Andre's request for Hudson to get something from Parker for him earlier, he was sure that it was the last one, or more likely, a mix between the two. Emotions and alcohol were never a good combination, and emotions, alcohol, and drugs, was a recipe for disaster. Hudson knew that as president of the Beta house, he had an obligation to fix this. The last thing that their house needed, during rush week, nonetheless, was Andre giving their house a bad reputation. He didn't care about Naomi doing that to their own house, but Hudson was not about to allow Sigmas to jeer at his house. That wasn't going to fly, when there were impressionable, and recruitable freshman around to see it.

Right now though, there was nothing that he could do. As he had seen, the damage was done, and him rushing back to the carnival to put Andre in his place wasn't going to do any good. Rocha was far too emotional today for Hudson's liking, and though he was his brother in more senses than most of the other Betas were to Hudson, at the moment, Hudson was actually enjoying Katherine's company. Sometime during his thirty minutes at the Alpha house, he had managed to break down a few of her walls... or at least get her to drop her attitude. By the time that the pizza arrived, they were ten minutes into She's the Man, a movie that Katherine insisted on watching, and if Hudson was being honest, he didn't mind either, and had a tray of Ghiradelli triple fudge brownies in the oven. Hudson used the excuse of the ringing doorbell as a good chance to get up to answer it, but also finally shoot off a text to Andre, which read, "Are you fucking kidding me with that show you put on? Drop that nursing major and start trying out for plays on Broadway, man! You're really got the fucking dramatics down pat. You couldn't save that shit for private, or maybe when there weren't 100 freshman in the area, trying to figure out which house to join?". On a whim, he also decided to message Xanthe, and said, "Come back to the Alpha house when the fun's over at the carnival, Little Red. The king of the Betas is gonna mend your friendship with Kitty."

Katherine also used the few minutes that Hudson left the couch to pick up her phone. Hanging out with Hudson had seemed bizarre at first, and for the first ten minutes that he was in the house, she did her best to get him to leave. He was persistent though, and when he claimed that he wasn't going to leave until every last Alpha was back in the house, she gave up trying to get him to leave. It became clear, some way through the preparation of the brownie mix, that Hudson was here to see what her reaction to the situation involving her, Andre, Xanthe, and Naomi was. She continued to insist that she was fine, but some way through, broke and did admit that all she was really concerned about was making sure that Naomi didn't hate her. She admitted that she didn't think it was right for Xanthe to tell everyone about her and Andre. She reasoned that Hudson himself had known about it all along, and kept his mouth shut, so didn't that make him a more loyal friend to her, than even Xanthe was? Hudson had seemed to take this point appreciatively, but must have put his ego on silent mode for the moment, because he had countered that with questioning Katherine on whether she had been blind to Xanthe's crush on Andre, when everyone else knew about it. It was a good point, and Katherine knew that it was wrong to have done it when she knew Xanthe liked Andre, but she insisted that it had been made clear many times that Xanthe and Andre weren't compatible because they wanted different things, so it wasn't like she was actually keeping something real from happening. No matter how logical his comments were, Katherine wasn't ready to take responsibility for that, and she was happy that he agreed to a movie while the brownies baked, because then she could just zone out of her moral conflicts, and focus on the movie.

When he got up to get the pizza from the delivery man, she put the movie on pause, and sent out a couple of texts. She had really told herself that she wasn't going to bother Naomi, especially since she was ignorant to the fight that had occurred at the carnival, and believed that Naomi was having a fun night and she shouldn't disrupt that, but her guilt was eating away at her. She was so tempted to text Xanthe too, and tell her how fucked up she thought it was for her to go to the other girls before coming to her, but Hudson's commentary rang in her head and kept her from doing so. Once the texts were gone, she pulled the blanket she had over her up tighter against her body, and then, upon realizing that she needed something to drink with the pizza Hudson would bring in, craned her neck back a bit, and yelled, "Get me a water while you're up?!", hoping her voice was loud enough to travel to the foyer.

To: Jade
