Lucas is almost scary happy, he smiles all the time, even when autopsying a body. He is a lot smarter then almost all the people he knows, maybe except for his parents, but being a genius isn't all its cracked up to be. It is actually very lonely, he puts up a wall to keep everyone out the only way he knows how to, by insulting them and making them feel inferior with insults about their mental capacity and the way they look. It also doesn't help that his social skills are equivalent to that of a three year old. He doesn't know how to show any kind of emotion besides happiness so people think he is a serial killer or something. An upside of being a genius is whenever something is going on you can calculate the end result in your mind without anyone ever knowing, and thats what he does. Because of this some people say he is psychic, but he's not. All that being said he is an absolute idiot genius.

Growing up he was an only child and because his parents were scientists they were always in their lab and left him to fend for himself more often then not causing him to sit alone in their big mansion for hours on end. And a child alone in a big house is never good. He was afraid of everything that moved, every little sound, and the explosions that sometimes came from the lab in their basement didn't help his fear.
He began to fill his time with books, once he had read all the books in his small child library he was bored and began to read the books in his parents library, his favorite being the anatomy books. One night when his parents were up late in their lab link countless others before that Lucas was up in his bathroom with an anatomy book and all of his markets, drawing on himself. He had outlined where everything was, all his organs, his bone, his blood vessels. suddenly his father came in looking for him, he was not happy with what his sone had done. After a brutal punishment Lucas was made to sit in a much to hot shower and clean every inch of market off of himself. After that his father made sure he learned everything their was to know about the human body.

Mother - Olivia O'Brien - Alive: His favorite person in the world and also his most feared, even above his father. Not that she was ever abusive to Lucas, but because he is so afraid of disappointing her.
Father - Patrick O'Brien - Dead: Lucas is very resentful of his father, even in death Lucas still hates him. He was a very abusive and angry man and made Lucas's life a living hell.

History
Being born to a genius mother and father made Lucas a very lucky child, in the eyes of the public. but he felt like the worlds biggest mistake. Growing up his father was very abusive and had a very bad temper, though he never his Luca's mother he did take a lot of his anger out on Lu. one of his favorite forms of punishment was locking Lucas in a small closet in one of the many hallways in their huge mansion, and that was where his fear of the ark stemmed from. When his father died when he was 21 Lucas couldn't stop smiling and at his fathers funeral Lu didn't shed a single tear. When he moved away from San Francisco his mother begged him not to move but he just couldn't stay, he needed a change of pace. He did promise his mom that he wouldn't leave California though. He found a job as a medical examiner and then found his apartment and couldn't be happier.
