She does have a lot of scars and markings on her body but only about four are clearly noticeable. She has one going going down from the bottom of her breast to the end of her stomach, one on the left side of her nose but she can hide it with her nose stud, one on her jaw, and the most noticeable, the large scar behind her right ear from when she was attacked by her father when she was only 16 years old. Asked for piercings, she has a few, but she does have her ears pierced in several places like here on her right ear, here also on her right ear, and here on her left ear. She has her nose pierced, and her bellybutton pierced as well. And for tattoos, surprisingly she does have her fair share ever since turning eighteen. She has one on her upper right arm, one of her mother's favorite flowers on her wrist.. She also has one located on the back of her left ear of an Infinity sign. But, her newest ones are of a small sun and moon which are in the middle of her back where only a couple of people have seen it.

Angel's style while it can vary by occasion, most days she prefers to wear tank tops with a jacket of some kind over it with a pair a dark wash jeans the hug her small waist. With this she enjoys wearing mostly a pair of black heels, if not a pair of wedges she swaps from her foster mother. But, sometimes she does let her guard down, mostly on the weekend when she's forced to dress 'decently' around her family for which she is forced to wear nothing tight, nothing sexy, and nothing over modern. Meaning, she's mostly told to wear floral and lightly colored dresses that belonged to Natalia before she got work done. And with this said, they don't allow her to wear hear wedges around them, just flats... But, that doesn't mean she listens to them 100%. Why? Because she loves her tight jeans, leather jackets, and high heels and for any one to think for a second that Angelina-Liliana Ariana-Francesca would ever not wear them to feel 100% presentable and gorgeous is not just idiotic, but also naive. To the disappointment of her foster family... But, you see behind the facade is a huge wave of what appears to be either hand downs from her older sister or from the local Goodwill. She just can do magic with a little needle and thread.

Some people canโ€™t be in your life because they donโ€™t have the power to help you improve it. That doesnโ€™t mean you donโ€™t wish them well, it just means that you are on Chapter ten of your life, when they are on Chapter five. Maybe, it is just enough to meet at the crossroads in life and agree to take separate paths, then with a Cheshire grin you both look back and shout, โ€œBeat you to the top of the mountainโ€, followed by the funnest sprint of both of your lives.โ€ โ€• Shannon L. Eh, because they watch over so many children they don't have extra cash to just throw around. They're not low class with Annie being a owner and chef of her own restaurant called, The Family Table and Emilia being a nurse, but they can't spoil Angel like she was when she was younger. But, they do get the children what they needed and from time to time can get them just something they want.

They have three cars in their family; one that Annie and Emilia share and one that they gave Angel during her welcome party, and one to Tino when he turned sixteen. Luckily their room is a bit bigger so, the younger girls split the room in half, them and Ari. While the boys just kept it open. โœง Bathrooms : They have two bathrooms, one in the master bedroom, one near the guys' room, and one right across from the girls' room... Meaning they share and fight over it every. Single. Day.

H I S T O R Y

Angelina-Liliana Ariana-Francesca Etxeberria-Rivera hasn't always been the way she is now, but to be completely honest she can't remember much of herself before the point of her junior year... Angelina was born in the city of Havana, Cuba to a young sixteen year old girl named Francesca and her older boy friend, Santiago who was twenty one at the time. From the beginning, they never had the approval of their loved ones around them and having a child only made the division between the couple and their families wider. Both came from great and wealthy families and wanted them to lose or hide their child to protect both of their families' reputations in the city and even in the rest of the country. And when they refused, they were cut off to take care of their newborn, Angelina on their own. It was rough the first three years of the young Angel's life, but once she turned four. Her father was given a rather good position in a growing company. The pay was amazing and it made it enough for the couple to finally be able to do what they dreamed of doing together, they were about to least their home out to people while them and their daughter traveled the world.

Her life was amazing, she was an only child seeing that her mother was unable to have another child but, she wasn't lonely. She made friends and connections all over the world even at a young age. On the surface and in Angel's young eyes everything seemed perfect. And by the time she was in high school, everything had fallen into place. She was an incoming freshmen; beautiful, confident, rich, popular, you name it, she was it. Sure she was a bitch, but she had the shit to back it up. Around her sophomore year, things in her house began changing. She could feel it. Her mother and father were much more secretive and often stopped talking whenever their daughter came in a room, thinking she didn't hear them. They were more reluctant on letting her come into either of their offices, and they even refused to let her talk to most if not all of their coworkers. And, when she finally asked them about it. They told her that nothing was going on. And, since they never gave her a reason to not trust them, she believed them wholeheartedly. That is, before she was called down to the main office during her lunch period only to see three policemen there waiting. Now, you see. Angel never did anything bad before her turning point. She didn't drink, she didn't smoke, sure she partied but that was it. So why were three big policemen telling her to get in the car? But, it all became clear when they escorted her into a room where she saw her parents handcuffed and in orange jumpsuits. They finally told her everything. They, along with the rest of her father's 'company' had been fraud and money laundering. Which together can hold a sentence to twenty one years. This completely changed their little girl, well it was the start of the downward spiral. Months went by and everything was building up. Press would ambush Angel everywhere asking her questions from; "Was she a part of it?", "Does she believe that her parents really did it?", and of course "Why do you think they did it?". On top of the press, the attention at school was much less delightful esp. from those who's families' gave her parents' company money. Money that they were never going to get back.

And when all was said and done they summer before her junior year, her parents were sentenced. Her father to twenty years and her mother to seven. And Angel wasn't really there to see it. Fran and Santiago didn't want her to see her parents taken away in handcuffs in person. The last real conversation they had in person was her parents begging for forgiveness and wanting her, no matter what to continue living and wanting her dream. Even if they couldn't be in the front row. In July, since Angelina didn't have any family that she could move into, she was moved into a group home with five other kids all who have had shitty luck as well. During this time, Ariana refused to go by her first name as she finally decided to change herself to who made herself to believe to be her 'real' self. She changed everything about herself that summer; her clothing, hair, car (Mostly because she couldn't afford it anymore), and of course herself. She somewhat left her friends and teammates as she decided to try and new cliche. One of the more... unsavory cliches known as the Animals. And as they say, the rest of the downward spiral was history.

Tuesday, October 1, 2015: Spirit Week: Twin Day: 7:05 AM

It is, yet again, another day at the infamous Hollywood High School. At the same time, it isn't just any regular day. It is the second day of Spirit Week: Twin Day. And while most students are exhausted already on only the second day of one of the most fun weeks of the year (since they're all still technically still students and midterms aren't gonna study themselves), others are excited to pair off with their twins for the day. Excited to purchase Homecoming tickets...maybe anticipating actually asking that special someone to the dance. Don't forget that for the maximum amount of points for your class ALL or close to all of your classmates have to participate. Our delicious Devil Girls are giving out decadent treats during the lunch periods for the Cheer Candy fundraiser, Homecoming Prince & Princess nominations need to be submitted soon, and don't forget to pick up your Halloween tickets for Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain...

Twin Day Outfit โ™• Location: Hollywood High School โ™• Theme Song โ™• Mood: Amused

"I mean it exactly as I said. I have no intention of winning Homecoming Princess this year," Normani Devereux repeated herself - for the final time, she then decided - as she exited her royal blue Bentley Grand convertible. Siobhan, as she named her car, let out a small beep as she pressed the lock button on her keys before slipping the set of keys into the pocket of her jeans. Sliding her Michael Kors backpack over her shoulder (being mindful of the nails she had done herself last night), Normani fully turned to her group of followers, her own personal set of Wannabes that could always be seen following a few paces behind Normani if they all weren't rushing to class. Not like she treated them like followers, most of the time. From the outside, the other four girls seemed every much like a part of her circle as Normani wanted them to. After all, she didn't need them feeling the need to feel used. That left room for a hostile takeover out of spite and jealousy, and Normani Devereux did not have time to deal with one small mutiny in the midst of her two-year reign as queen of Hollywood High school. "Not like I'm making it some kind of public announcement or anything, but I have no need to win again. Don't make me repeat myself and don't any of you repeat me either." Her gaze was sharp, eyes slit only for a second, before her smile appeared again as she grasped the container of french toast muffins her head chef baked for herself anyone she wanted to share with.

While most of her classmates probably bitched and moaned their way through hot showers and breakfasts meant to wake them up to get to school that was only five to ten minutes away - twenty at the max, Normani lived an hour and twenty-two minutes away. Which meant she had been awake earlier than most, save for one Prep she knew for a fact worked himself to stupidity. It wasn't too much of an issue Normani; she had been doing so since freshman year and had a routine. She would wake up and perform yoga stretches, run a mile and a half, and then shower and go through her usual morning care regimen. Once that had been settled, she sat for breakfast, brushed her teeth again, and made sure all of her homework was collected in her backpack for the day and that her cheer bag was prepared. Afterwards, she got dressed in the Tommy Hilifiger outfit that would match with her bestie, Honey. While the latter was more inclined to wear a strapless crop top and high-waisted shorts, Normani preferred the long sleeved crop top, regardless of the California weather. For one, it was still a crop top and it allowed her to show her pierced navel. But it had sleeves since it was only slighter cooler in October, and her shorts and Nikes gave the entire ensemble a nineties feel that Normani could get with. She even added a pair of large silver hoops just to channel the era she felt that she was embodying. Once her hair and makeup were set, Normani gave an ootd post on Instagram, grabbed her bags and the freshly-baked muffins, and jetted over for the day.

Classes didn't start for a little over twenty minutes and Normani was in no rush to head inside to the cool building she would be stuck inside until later in the afternoon. So, she leaned back comfortably against her convertible as her followers welcomed themselves to the muffins that sat upon the hood of her vehicle. As they cooed over them hungrily (since Dinah always had a habit of skipping breakfast and Camila just loved food), Normani smirked in amusement, allowing her gaze to run over the parking lot as students and staff alike made their way over to the entrance of the school, conversing in groups or striding in in singles. A second later and she was texting her people, especially considering two were bound to be together.

To: Chaddy, Kit Kat
I swear if u 2 r fucking when i have muffins 4 yall...

To: Daniel, Maya
Saving u a muffin

To: Chris

"Angie! Angie! C'mon you need to wake up!" Angel groaned as she felt two normal hands shaking her back and forth in her twin size bed. The longer to voice whined the easier it was to notice it was her foster sister, Sierra. The young teenage Italian kept shaking, hoping the older girl was close to death or anything. The animal girl swatted away and pushed her off her bed before turning to face Sierra and show off her makeup stained face. Sierra face broke into a huge smile before she started to chuckle. Trying to talk through her laughs. "Shit, what you do last night?" The eldest girl just rolled her eyes, before getting up to see the time. 6:00 a.m

"Jesus! Why the fuck am I awake?" She asked as she started to walk out of their shared room. Not worrying about putting on a pair of shorts to hide her black logo Victoria Secret's panties. Hell, her little siblings, Dynasty and Esteban were already gone for school and Zen and Issac were both still and bed. Plus Angel had a hunch they were both gay, so she didn't make a big deal about walking around half naked around them. "Because, Annie wanted me to tell you that your car wasn't starting." Angel stopped in her tracks before starting back into the room for her phone without another word. She started dialing her phone with Sierra trying to see who was was calling. "Um, who ya callin." Angel scoffed. "Who do you think I'm calling? I'm calling Ivan. Like hell my car won't start and I have to take the hour and a half bus again. I'll smoke shit before that happens."

"Oh, so you will take the bus is what you're saying?" Angel shot daggers at the smaller girl who had a smartass smirk on her face before their neighbor, Ivan picked up the phone in his thick Greek accent. "Ivan! You had Hector open right? Well hey, I need a huge favor--.." She stopped as the man knew exactly why she was calling so early. Good thing he opened his pawn shop early during the week. "Yes, it is my car. I need you to jump start the--.." She rolled her eyes as he lectured her about how she needed to sell her car, how dangerous it was for a young girl like her to have such an unreliable car in this neighborhood, and all the other shit she's hear 1,000 times. "Yes, yes. Ivan. I know, I know. Okay? I try to see if they can get me a new car sometime soon but for now can up just jump start my car while I get ready. Please?" The older man agreed while Angel smiled. "Thanks, I owe you one." She hung up the phone to see Sierra on her bed, knocked out since they still had a little time left before they had to get ready but, Angel couldn't fall back asleep if she tried. She needed to get ready for twin day... and clean up the mess that was her side of the room. Or at least hide a few things like her stash, her papers, and other things that could get her kicked out of the house if one of her caretakers were to find them. So, after hiding them in her 'special spot' she hopped in the shower and spent the next 45 minutes getting ready including drying her hair and doing her makeup while sharing the bathroom with a now awake, Sierra while their two foster brothers were banging on the door for them to get out. The girls finished and let the boys in before getting dressed. Sierra was dressed as Mario, probably because her best friend was going to be Luigi or something and Angel was in her black and white checkered dress and white heels to match her best friends' outfits, Penelope and Anya. They wanted to do something where they wore different colors and Angel wore a mix. And when Angel refused because she couldn't afford anything new at the moment the sister practically begged to pay for their best friend's dress. And when she said no to that, they ambushed her with it just yesterday saying she didn't have a choice and the tags were off so they couldn't refund it even if they wanted to.

But, looking at herself in the mirror now. Angel had to admit. She looked pretty damn good. She put her hair in her pretty much 'owned' half-up, half-down hairstyle with the golden bottoms curling just right. She grabbed her backpack before looking towards Sierra and their clock. 6:45 The had just enough time to get something to eat and get there on time. "Ready?" Sierra just nodded as she grabbed her phone and scurried out the door right behind Angel. With how quiet the house was the guys must have left already. When they walked out she saw a note written for her in Greek. She just handed it to Sierra was was half Greek along with Italian. "He's just tellin' yous to get a new car." Angel just rolled her eyes as she got in her side and prayed for it to start. When the engine started, she thanked god and drove off on Sierra was in as well. They drove down the street with Angelina's Prince Royce music going through the speakers.

Before they knew it they were in the parking lot of the school with their breakfasts bags now empty. Sierra hurried out to find her friends. "Ey, I'm leavin' twenty minutes after. With or without you and that's a good 4 hour walk." Sierra just rolled her eyes with a smirk. "Love you too, Angel." The animal just scoffed a laugh before texting Penny and Anya to see where they were. When they text back a few moments later, she read that they were already about to walk inside. She told them to wait before turning off her car and getting out. Right when she walked in she saw the sisters in their dresses and boots. Hey, the two had spirit. She had to give them that. "Hey Angel! I knew that dress would be cute on you."
Angel just smiled as she rolled her eyes. "Alright, Anya. You were right. Like always. Okay, you're the smart animal and we're not worthy to be in the present of such greatness." Angel said in complete sarcasm with her accent completely coming out as they walked down the hallway. "And just what am I then?" Penelope asked with a smile. "The one with all the money." Penny shoved Angel softly into someone before Anya (the nice one) apologized to him before they continued to their lockers which all just so happened to be in the same little section.

Honey glanced at her best friend and gave her a non-committal shrug, โ€Well letโ€™s seeโ€ฆMy temper probably got me and my boyfriend suspended, the whole school can officially call me poor white trash, and donโ€™t say they wonโ€™t your bestie Olivia will be leading them, I have a big bruise on my face and I have a photo-shoot in two days. Oh! And Iโ€™m this closeโ€ She said representing it with her thumb and index finger โ€To losing my shit.โ€ She sighed and pushed her pale blonde hair out of her face. She sighed and pulled Normani closer, leaning on the girls narrow shoulders, โ€On the plus side I have a sexy bad ass knight in shining Armani for a boyfriend and my best friend is going to endโ€ She said shooting a look at Anthony, โ€The guy who put his hands on me and I can trust Chris wonโ€™t let him get away with it either.โ€ As usual she had been knocked down but there was no way she was staying down. Anthonyโ€™s life at Hollywood High was over and she was sure he knew it as well as anyone.

She began the long walk of shame to the nurse, where Normani got Honey a ice pack and Honey demanded that Chad, who was no doubt going to have a bruise on his handsome jaw, get tended to so he could avoid having a bruise over his right eye. The whole time she said sorry in total maybe ten times but she couldnโ€™t help it she just felt so guilty. Anthony would have never hit her if she just would have curbed her temper, not that she was actually going to fess that up to the principal, and then Chad would have never gotten in trouble. She had to admit thoughโ€ฆ Chad never looked hotter. She kissed his jaw lightly and mumbled another apology when he flinched, โ€At least weโ€™ll look bad ass togetherโ€ She whispered. The nurse looked at her impatiently and said sternly, โ€I need to clean him up,โ€ Honey resisted the urge to tell her to fuck off, instead she kissed him carefully before turning back to Normani.

โ€I want this buried. Chad doesnโ€™t need my temper to flaw his reputation. Iโ€™m asking you, not as the queen but as my best friend, to get this taken care of. That includes Olivia, you know sheโ€™ll use this as proof that Hailey should be a royal and I should get booted. I donโ€™t care what happens to me butโ€ฆ โ€ She glanced at Chad, โ€I donโ€™t want this reflecting bad on him. He deserves better than me and I know that.โ€

She pulled out her phone and sent a group text to people to catch people up on what was going on. The last thing she needed was people who she actually considered friends hearing from people who donโ€™t know the whole story.

To: Angel, Trayson, Kat, Hailey
Just so you hear it from me I punched Anthony in the face and he punched me back and Chad jumped in which caused a fight. Iโ€™m fine but I think Iโ€™m getting suspended.

Hailey moved into Normani's now vacant seat when they began the lab, because it was a more convenient spot for her to watch and record the data as the experiment progressed. As Ian and Olivia got started, she quickly became distracted with her phone. Though it was on silent, she could see it light up in the pocket of her backpack, and pulled it out discretely as Honey's text came through. Although Lauren had said in front of them all that Honey had been involved in the fight, Hailey really was surprised to read that same thing coming straight from Honey. And that she punched Anthony first, and he punched her back? Even more surprising. Knowing Honey, she shouldn't have been that surprised that the blonde was the one who initiated the fight, because Honey was a fiery girl. It was something that Hailey admired about her, really. She didn't take shit from anyone and could hold her own. Obviously, no one could expect a girl of her size to beat the life out of Anthony, but at the same time, no one would expect him to punch her back. Hailey didn't know him that well, but even the scummiest of guys would usually resist hitting a girl. That crossed the line, and in school nonetheless, where there was no way that they would get away with it. While Hailey imagined that Honey was injured and maybe Chad too, she was honestly more concerned for Anthony. God only knew that his social life was ruined, and though Chad was no Christian or even Anthony in brute strength, he wasn't an Ian either. He had to have taken a few good hits too.

To: Honey
HAHA ILY you are literally too real for this school Honey Perez <3. couples that fight together, stay together, so at least you've got that going your way ;)

Her text to Honey wasn't very compassionate or concerned, but that was how Hailey was. She kept things light, especially since Honey had said she was fine, at least physically. She didn't see it as being wrong, but Hailey couldn't resist sliding her phone across Olivia's desk with Honey's text showing. "This girl is too real," she laughed, as if Olivia would feel just as amused and equally impressed with Honey's actions. "Would you punch someone in the face for Jamie Boy over here if they were being mean?" she asked, looking up at Olivia and then turning to Ian. "I bet Mani would do it for you."

When ninth period rolled around, Hailey was actually feeling more energized than she had been a few periods before. The two cups of coffee she had definitely helped, and the excitement of the fight from earlier had energized her as well. Maybe it related to her Animal personality, but things like that amped her up. If she had been in that class, or even wandering the hallway and managed to hear it, there was no doubt that Hailey would have been one of the kids cheering it on. It was that crowd mentality and just the excitement that got her adrenaline pumping.

After eighth period, she headed to the front of the school and waited for an older friend to drop off her lunch. It was a hot chicken pesto sandwich from a local sandwich shop and before she even opened the bag, her mouth was watering. It smelled amazing and she couldn't wait to devour it, but before she could, she needed to figure out where her friends were. While Katherine was one of her friends, and maybe it was one way, but she would consider Olivia to be too, they weren't her friend group. She wasn't as welcomed at their lunch group table as she would be with her Animal friends, and just remembering how uptight Mani and Liv were earlier reminded her that she didn't want to sit with them anyway. She didn't want to be a Royal.

To: Angel, Jada
Where my girls at?!?! I have the most amazing sandwich and I am not waiting all year for you bitches to respond before I eat it!!

To: Katherine
What ended up happening with Honey? Did she get suspened?

Angel just went through most of the day with no problems. Sure, she was left on her own since she hasn't seen Jada and the twins decided to skip the rest of the day. Angel would have went with them if the weren't being given roles out in her dance class. Missing that would have been stupid, she would give up the chance to be scouted all for what? To smoke a few joints before drinking two bottles of their parent's whisky? Yea, Angel might not have been that bright but she wasn't that stupid. But, the day was a little more interesting when she started to hear about a fight between Chadwick, Tony, and Honey. She knew her cousin was a fighter since birth but she never thought Honey would just start fighting someone in the middle of their class. And Chad getting involved too?! Huh, she had to give them props. Something she would have done if she didn't have too much pride. So, instead of responding and asking if she was okay. Angel just read it before going back to her Twitter. Sure, she felt bad but another one of her millions of friends and minions would make sure she was okay and if it was that bad Angel would go from there.

    ~~~~~~
    Ninth Period
    ~~~~~~

By ninth period, Angel was exhausted. She had worked her ass off and now she just had to wait and see what happened. But, who was she kidding? She knew she did amazing. When she walked off the stage and into the dancers' dressing room. All she could hear from the whispers of other people were 'Honey this' and 'Honey that'. Jesus, it was just like they were when the were kids. But, when she heard someone saying how Honey had it coming or something like that. Angel wasn't really listening but it did piss her off from what she was able to hear. "Ey, why don't you two bitches fight a guy and then say shit like that."

The two blonde wannabes just scoffed before turning to her. "Oh, I'm sorry and what does this have to do with you?" She did a smug shrug. "Oh, nothin'. I just don't like hearing people talk shit about someone they wish they were." Angel left it as that as she put her hair back up in it's half ponytail before starting to change back into her black and white dress and heels. She heard the two girls say something about her before laughing and walking out. Yes, despite what someone might think. Angel did stick up for Honey when people decided to talk shit about her when she wasn't around. Most people didn't know they were related or at least Angel didn't really broadcast it to most people.

She fixed the small mistakes in her makeup before stuffing her dance clothes in her bag and in her locker. She locked it back up before walking out to see a message from Normani, reminding her of her 'candy duties'. She rolled her eyes and put her phone back in her pocket. Not long after walking down the hall towards the lunch room, she got a message from Hailey. One of the few really good friends she actually had. She chuckled as she read it before replying.

    To : Hails

On my way now. But, I can't meet up for long. The wicked witch of the West Coast has me on candy duty..

When Angel walked into cafeteria, she looked for Hailey before seeing her sitting down. She slid into a seat next to her with a small smile. "Hey, blondie. I can't stay long I can stay long enough to piss Normani's little minions about not helping."

A two day suspension wasn't bad, so Hailey wasn't pissed for Honey when she read that. In fact, two days off from school sounded pretty damn good. The suspension would be on her friend's permanent record, but Hailey doubted that would matter much to Honey. Her friend didn't need to go to college and Hailey couldn't imagine why she would want to, what with her family's wealth and then her own success as an artist. Why should a girl like her be expected to go to school and study for some job she'll never get, or study music, when she clearly already had a grip on the subject. If anything, the suspension might interfere with Chad's hopes since Hailey imagined he was aiming for the Ivy's, but a two day suspension over a little fight couldn't really ruin what she was sure was a squeaky clean record.

Now knowing about Honey's fate, and not being bothered with it, she didn't bother pressing the question again with Katherine, who hadn't responded to her first inquiry. The brunette had instead skipped over the topic and asked to hang out locally instead of going to the beach. That was fine by Hailey, but she knew not to hold Katherine to the plans. If Normani or Olivia decided they wanted her, she expected Kat to request that they postpone their plans to another day. It bothered Hailey sometimes, but not so much that she ever made a big deal about it. Besides, it wasn't like Katherine was her only friend here. "Ugh, I forgot you'd have to do that at some point this week," Hailey groaned when Angel sat down at her table. She hadn't started eating yet but the smell of her sandwich was making it harder and harder to resist. "I really didn't think she was that bad for a while, but I'm starting to see what you mean. That girl is sooo uptight. She takes herself way too seriously," she said, rolling her eyes as her fingers tinkered with the paper bag her sandwich was in.

Kat had said that she was welcome to eat with her and her friends, and Hailey was sure that Kat would be fine with her sitting there, but the other girls, probably not as much. Like Hailey had just said, Mani took herself too seriously and Hailey didn't even want to spend her free period being suffocated by those vibes. At the same time, she didn't really feel like eating alone in the cafeteria, so she decided that if Jada didn't show up soon, maybe she would text Kat back. If nothing else, she'd find a spot alone outside to eat and enjoy the nice day. "I don't want to get you into trouble with the Devil Queen herself though," Hailey commented, glancing towards the table where most of the cheerleaders on duty were sitting and working. "Go do your thang, Miss Cheerleader. I'll catch up with you later, and hopefully Jada will stop being MIA so we can all do something fun."

Being drained by ninth period seemed to be a universal feeling among her classmates, but Jada wasn't that easily worn out. She was bored of being in the building, that was for sure, but she wasn't tired or about to crash. She was living on nine hours of sleep and had a cup of coffee to wake her up during first period, so she was feeling fine. While she wasn't the smartest girl in the school, she was intelligent and got through her classes without much struggle. School was a chore, in a sense where she wasn't excited to do it but knew it was necessary, but it wasn't strenuous and rarely made her feel stressed or worn out.

As she headed into the cafeteria, she considered whether or not she even wanted to vote for the homecoming prince and princess. The whole thing just seemed cheesy to her but surprisingly, a lot of kids in the school seemed into it. Maybe it was like the social ladder, where the term Queen could actually be used without it being in a mocking way. Here, people really did follow the rules and regulations that came with the social hierarchy, so it shouldn't have surprised her that much that people actually valued the homecoming titles. She told herself it was only because she wanted to talk to Danielle, but she ended up heading towards the voting table and before she left, had placed her votes in the ballot box, refusing to acknowledge the mocking voice in her head that was saying 'really?!'.

As she turned away from the table, she found Angelina and Hailey sitting at a table across the room. Angelina looked like she was getting ready to get up, while Hailey seemed more settled, but not actually eating yet. "What's good, my ladies?" she smiled, sliding into a seat next to Angelina. "I thought you said you were gonna be stuck with your pep squad today?" she said, glancing at Angel, and then behind them at the fundraising table where some of the other cheerleaders sat. She then turned to Hailey, noticing her bagged food and remembering that she hadn't brought anything to eat today. Unlike a lot of public schools, Hollywood High actually served decent food, but Jada still wasn't going to buy it. If she had made it to ninth period on just snacks, she could wait until the period ended, drive ten minutes to her house, and eat there. "Whatever that is, it smells good," she commented, poking the bag. "I should have ordered and had something delivered, but oh well. We gonna do something after school today?"

Angel reached in her backpack for a bag of chips she had snagged a few hours ago that she kept just for lunch just because she refused to take the free aka handout lunch the school was suppose to support for the students who lived in less than perfect conditions in their homes. She listened to Hailey talk about Normani and she had a smug smile growing on her baby doll face. "I really didn't think she was that bad for a while, but I'm starting to see what you mean. That girl is sooo uptight. She takes herself way too seriously," Angel chuckled. "I told you! I told you I knew what I was talking about. Ugh, no one knows how big of a pain in the ass she really is like I do." She stated before going back to her chips still looking for the last bit of their trio, Jada. "I don't want to get you into trouble with the Devil Queen herself though,"

Angel just rolled her eyes. She honestly didn't give a shit if she got into trouble especially if it was by Whormani. "Go do your thang, Miss Cheerleader. I'll catch up with you later, and hopefully Jada will stop being MIA so we can all do something fun." Angel groaned as she tossed the empty chip bag in her backpack before zipping it up and starting to take her leave. "Fine, but if I end of killing one of them it's on you." She said in a serious tone before slumping the bag on her shoulders. But, right before she was about to leave Jada pulled up a seat. Angel sighed as she sat back down for a moment.

"What's good, my ladies? I thought you said you were gonna be stuck with your pep squad today?" Angel groaned as she laid her face in her hands. "I do. I just don't want to be surrounded by the minions." She said as lifted her head up and forced herself up. "Text me if you guys want to do something later. Annie said they didn't need my help at the restaurant so, I free today." She bid her close friends good bye before walking over to the table with the two other girls who crossed their arms over the chest. "And just where were you?"

"Don't worry 'bout it." She said as she sat her stuff down and took a seat. "Fine, but you know who might like to 'worry 'bout it'? Mani."[/color] Angel laughed before rolling her eyes and looking up at Camilla who was still standing. "Do you really think I give a shit? Go head. Tell her. While you're at it tell her, her bestie says hello." Angel talked in complete sarcasm before returning her eyes to the table to help the student who were walking up. She took the cash and put it in the box before handing them their candy. Every once and while she would be whispered that they had voted for her for Homecoming Princess. Something she would have used to be ecstatic about but, now. She didn't really care. Sure, she would like to win just to rub it in the Royals faces but other than that it was just a stupid title to her. But, she surely didn't care for the two other girls scoffs whenever someone said it. "And what's so funny?" Chelsea looked at Angel with her shinning blue eyes with a raised eyebrow. "Do you really think you could win?"

The Cuban shrugged with the smugest smile as she turned back to the blonde. "Why do you care? What's the matter? Think Mani might have some competition?" Chelsea scoffed. "Puh-lease. You wish." The three girls just started going back and forth with the other in between the times people would come up to buy the candy. And all Angel could think about is reminding herself not end up smack these girls and ending up like Catalina.

Hailey laughed when Angel made a comment about killing one of her fellow cheerleaders. She was going to respond that if she was going to go to jail for murder, she might as well take out someone who was actually an issue, and that neither of those girls were worth it, when Jada showed up. Comically, Jada brought up Angel's cheerleading duties just as she had, and Angel's reaction made her laugh again. She knew Angelina was an amazing dancer and gymnast, but if she hated the girls on the squad so much, she wondered why she participated in it. From what she had heard, it had something to do with the feud between her and Mani that dated back to before Hailey had went to the school, so she didn't ask about it.

"Have fun!" Hailey shouted sarcastically when Angel was a good distance from their table. She turned back to Jada and wrapped her arms dramatically around her bag of food in a protective way. "Sorry, J! This sandwich is feeding one person, and that one person is me. Let's get out of here. Wanna come back to my house? We can get something on the way." Conveniently, she left out the part about asking Katherine to do something this afternoon too, because she knew Jada hated her friend. It wasn't a dislike where she could still tolerate her. No, it was a hatred, and not even Hailey's attempts at trying to make them be friends had done any good. Most of the time, it wasn't a big deal. Hailey had known Jada before this year through mutual friends, but they had only really started hanging out in September. Since then, she only had to worry about the two girls being around each other at major events, and then, there were usually so many people there that they rarely ran into each other. Plus, whenever those things were occurring, Normani was usually there, and she was apparently a more influential mutual friend than Hailey was, because she usually made sure neither girl lashed out at the other... which usually meant making sure that Jada didn't lash out at Katherine.

She stood up to leave with Jada, but heard a crash behind her and spun around to find Ian Butler on the floor a few feet away. A crowd of jocks and Animals stood around him laughing, before dispersing a moment later when they probably thought they saw a teacher coming by or something. "Daaaaamn, that sucks," she commented, looking at Jada with a bit of shock in her face. There were definitely mean kids in this school, but even as a B-lister, she didn't have to deal them, really. This scene seemed like one of those ones you would see in a movie about a typical high school, and it had her looking towards Jada, as if she would know what the proper thing to do was. She wasn't good friends with Ian, but she liked him. She just didn't know if that was supposed to be enough to make her go over there and help him.

Jada nodded to Angel when she requested that they text her later, because she would most likely be free, but her content smile turned upwards into a smirk when Hailey obnoxiously called after Angel to have fun, when they all knew she'd spend the next hour doing the opposite of that. "Yes! Gooooo Devils!" Jada followed it up with obnoxiously. This was why she loved her girls. Even when one of them was irritated, like Angel, the other two could still have fun and make light of it. Sometimes they were serious friends, but a lot of the time, they didn't need to gather around in a circle and talk about their problems and try to coach Angel on how to get through the period. They just made light of it and had fun, and that was what Jada was best at. She wished that Angelina could have stayed with them, especially when Hailey suggested they leave campus, but it seemed like she really did want to be a cheerleader this year, for if she hadn't wanted to so badly, she would have quit. Or stabbed Normani and quit. Either/or.

"Rude bitch," J commented in mock offense when she was focused back on Hailey. "I'm pretty sure you drank 99% of my bottle of Fireball on Friday, and I can't even get a bite out of your sandwich that's probably cold by now. I see how it is!" she continued with a scoff. Her words were sincere, but the attitude that came with it was playful, and she allowed a smile onto her face as she got up. Like Hailey, though, she didn't get far from the table before a crash behind them had Jada instinctively turning around, and she spotted Ian on the floor with his tray of food all over the place. Normally, Jada wouldn't have given a kid on the floor a second glance. She didn't like to tarnish her own clique's name by saying that sometimes, some of the Animals could get too out of hand and do something maliciously for a laugh, but it was true. However, the same was true for some of the A-listers, more frequently the jocks, who thought that putting other males down somehow proved that they, themselves, were masculine. Either way, she didn't want to see if it was one of her friends who had been the aggressor in the bullying, because she hated bullying. For a lot of her childhood, she was the victim of it, and though it was never physical or nearly as humiliating as being tripped onto the cafeteria floor with a plate full of food, it still traumatized her. It was something that she tried to keep in the past though, so she tried not to let that side of her get in the way of being an Animal, or get in the way of other people living their lives. However, Ian was her friend. An unlikely friend, and maybe not her closet friend, but a friend nonetheless. "Give me a sec," she said, barely glancing over at Hailey before hurrying to Ian's side as he stood up. "You alright?" she asked, bending over to pick up the now empty tray and setting it on an empty table beside them. "If I saw who did it, I'd go Hulk Honey on them, but I didn't see," she teased, hoping to lighten the mood.

The Preps rarely ever ate in the cafeteria. Most of the time, they didn't stay on campus during ninth period, but if they did, they would eat in the courtyard. Today, most of them traveled off campus, and once they sorted out the plans, Sam left with three other preps, Cody, Julie and Devin in his Range Rover. They were head tho The Rooftop Grill at The Montage Hotel, a spot that Sam felt was decent for lunch. He was in the mood for their organic roasted chicken breast meal, so when Cody insisted on it, he didn't object. However, as they boarded into his car, he sent out an invitation to a few non-preps, and the one prep who has shocked the world by getting suspended.

To: Chad
Prove your wounds aren't that bad and come grab food w the crew at The Montage. Tell Honey to come too!

To: Chris
Trade in ur football jersey for a dress shirt for an hour and come eat at The Montage man

To: Jameson, Lennox, Taylor, Trayson
Eating w some ppl at The Montage if you're hungry and friendless, which wouldn't surprise me

He did intentionally keep Chris out of the group message that went out to Taylor, Jameson, Lennox and Trayson. Not only was he close with Chris, and already had a single chat with him that didn't take too much scrolling to find, but he also knew it wasn't smart to include him in the same chat as Taylor. Calling them not friends seemed like an understatement this year, with both guys vying for the top male seat in Hollywood High School's social hierarchy. Before driving, he couldn't resist sending a text to Angelina, who he was heavily considering finally sealing the deal with this weekend, and sleeping with. It wasn't like the ball was in his court that much, where he could just declare he wanted to fuck her and it would magically happen, but it just seemed like something that would happen eventually. He was sure that once he turned on the charm, it would happen. It wasn't like they hadn't gotten close before. He also decided to response to the group chat that Jameson had started earlier with most of the A-list guys, and send a text to Normani and Catalina.

To: Angelina
I want to pregame with you and your girls tomorrow ;). You're coming to Mani's. Meet at my house. No buts.

To: Normani
SMH I don't even get an apology for you ignoring me today in the science wing? Hurting my feelings over here, Mani.

To: Catalina
You corrupting my boy lol? If so, I approve.

To: Chris, Lennox, Jameson, Chad, Val, Tray, Taylor
Damn, alright, Blondie's outta the pool. Who else do we have that's fair game? Lol Taylor didn't you dress up as a minion with that girl? She your date? #score

He knew that it was Taylor's twin who had dressed up as a minion with Raquel, but especially with Chris in the chat, he figured that making fun of him a bit would lighten the mood, even if he meant it harmlessly.

Ian gratefully accepted Jada's attempts to diffuse the situation. It was weird to have an Animal as a friend, but he didn't mind at all. He and Jada were different, but that was okay. He grinned at her sat down next to her, still wiping the food off of him. It wasn't that bad, but it was still uncomfortable. It was a good thing he dressed in layers, he thought as he removed his plaid shirt to reveal a simple t-shirt, one that wouldn't look out of place on a non-nerd.

"I'm fine, and I'd pay to see that. Hell, I could probably get Daniel to add a soundtrack to it if I recorded it," he jested with a shrug. He eyed her food longingly just for a second, but he quickly turned his gaze away. He could wait until he got home to eat, after all.

"So, any plans for after school?" he asked, hoping to change the topic.

Hunter was smart, there was denying that, but this year, his confidence in that had been put to the test. It didn't help that upon starting school in the fall, he did his best to socialize only in school, and only with the nerds, who seemed to be one of the less exclusive groups in the school. He knew it meant something to his level of intelligence that they accepted him, but as a kid who went to only poorly funded public schools for his life, his sense of his own intelligence was apparently incorrectly heightened. Compared to some of these Beverly Hills kids, who had private tutors teaching them second and third languages before they were enrolled in kindergarten, Hunter felt like he had to work twice as hard to get the great grades he got without breaking a sweat at home. Luckily for him, he had the time to put into studying now that he was in California. Unlike in Boston, here he didn't have any close friends who wanted to spend their nights trying to get into bars underage or chugging cheap beers at a house party. It was his own choice, really. He wanted to remain as un-involved as possible in Hollywood High School's social scene, or at least that had been the plan when he found out he was moving here. Keep his head in the books, get good grades first quarter, get into Boston University on a scholarship and focus this year, on making sure that he would be set for the rest of his life.

It had been a good plan for the first couple of months of school, and he had done well at convincing himself that he was okay with not engaging in any of the typical parties and fun that seniors were expected to partake in during their senior year. For some reason, Spirit Week was making him feel differently on it. Maybe it was Twin Day most of all, because it just reminded him that he didn't have any close friends here, and it kind of sucked. His old school didn't have a Twin Day or Spirit Week, but it just reminded him that he was missing out on his school's traditions, and that he didn't fit in with his new schools traditions. Now, he felt like even if he wanted to make better friends, it was too late. Coming in during senior year felt like it was too late to begin with, to make any great friends, but now, months into the year, when he had already willingly accepted a spot as a Nerd... well, getting out of that rut seemed close to impossible.

Since all of the seniors had off of classes during ninth period for lunch, he felt even more isolated in his outfit which was nothing more special than a red and white striped shirt and grey jeans, since he wasn't standing with anyone who matched him. He knew it wasn't that deep, and there were other kids like him who weren't participating, but again, he was feeling unusually self conscious today, and it made him want to get out of the building quicker than it usually did. He passed through the cafeteria only briefly during ninth period with the intention of buying a bottle of water and submitting his Homecoming votes. He did both, first placing votes for Angelina and Taylor in the ballot box. There was no particular reason for why he voted for them over the other candidates. He had seen Angel frequently at his house, hanging out with Jada, but still didn't know her very well. In his math class, he had overheard girls talking about voting for her, so he figured that him voting for her too wouldn't be bizarre. There also weren't many sentimental feelings behind his vote for Taylor. Like Angel, he had also heard someone mention him as a good candidate, and since he really didn't care about who won, Hunter voted for him too.

As he was getting off the lunch line with just his water bottle, he noticed Ian sitting down at a table that Jada had just stood up from. For a few seconds, he hesitated on what to do. He liked Ian, and found the guy to be one of the most welcoming people he had met at Hollywood High. They were definitely nerds in different senses, with Hunter being more of a "pretend" nerd, in the fact that he had kind of forced himself into that mindset this year, when before this year, his only nerd-like trait had been his intelligence. It was different than Ian, who... well, who looked like a nerd and just gave off that vibe. Not like that was a bad thing. Hunter didn't think so, at least. He normally would have approached Ian without a thought, but Jada being present hindered him for a moment. He and Jada weren't enemies. They were on neutral terms, if anything. He thought she was comical and they stayed out of each other's way, mostly, which wasn't hard considering the size of her home, but it was clear to him, at least, that she didn't want him there any more than he wanted to be there. He didn't take it personally but since he already felt like he was intruding on her home life, he decided against approaching her and Ian. He doubted that she would have minded that much, but he didn't want to take any chances, and instead, left the cafeteria and headed out to the parking lot, but not before at least sending Ian a text message.

To: Ian
Hey Ian. Not sure if you're working tonight, but if you're not, I'm going to try to knock out the rest of the week's calculus homework assignments tonight if you're interested in getting it done too.

Since Kat seemed to struggle with a lot of subjects, it wasn't unbelievable that she would look so bothered over a math exam. "Ugh, I'm sure you didn't do as bad as you think you did," Hailey tried to reassure her, but it was hard to sound sincere when they both knew that she probably didn't do well either. Though Hailey felt bad that Kat struggled that much with school, she also couldn't find it in her to really feel bad for her. The brunette probably could put in more effort, and more-so, everyone knew that being unintelligent wasn't going to hinder Kat from succeeding in life. Her modelling career was definitely ahead of Hailey's at this point, and she was probably a few legs up in the game over Olivia too. Even if all of that suddenly failed, her dad was loaded, so it wasn't like Kat was looking at living in a cardboard box for the next seventy years if she didn't get an acceptance letter from Harvard. "And I didn't drive, but I think my friend's gonna give us a ride, so you can tell the evil stepmother to return to her fortress," she responded teasingly. Again, she still didn't name that friend because she really did want to hang out with Katherine... and Jada. Could she get the best of both worlds? She doubted it, but she also wasn't going to cancel on one of them to hang out with the other.

Checking her phone, she found a text from Samuel Lexington, reading, "i'm headed to the montage with some people if you and your girls are bored, but let's do dinner tonight. only if angel's free, since you know i'm not about to hang out with you and jada unless my girl's there ;)". Hailey didn't dislike Sam, but he was an ass most of the time. He sat on his high horse and thought he was better than everyone else, especially the Animals, and yet whenever he got drunk, it was them who he was most interested in partying with, because he knew they were the most fun.

For some reason, Sam seemed to actually accept Angelina over the other Animals. Normally, Preps and Animals didn't mesh that well. Both of them enjoyed a good party here and there, but their standards were almost opposites. While the Animals could have an amazing night on just kegs and cheap vodka if that was all they had, the Preps would be offended if someone even thought that they would drink beer from a can. Animals were wild and scandalous, rarely conforming to social standards, while the Preps were the epitome of class and perfection. It was hard to think of it as being true, especially to Hailey who had only known her as an Animal, but Angelina was once a Prep, and Hailey supposed that was where the connection came from. Still, it wasn't like Angel was friends with the majority of the other Preps, or even any A-listers at this point. From what she had heard from Jada, when shit when down with her family, she cut ties with everyone and embraced her Animal side. It was a fall from grace, some said, but Hailey didn't understand why Sam still thought her to be higher than other Animals, like her or Jada, if everyone else apparently shunned Angel now more than an average Animal. It didn't bother her, just made her curious. Sam was a pretty attractive guy, and if she didn't know his posh side, she'd be impressed at the rages he sometimes threw, but it made her wonder if he and Angel had a past. Or maybe a future. It didn't seem like Angel and Christian were going to flourish into anything since Angel refused to speak of it in public, and she and Jada were basically sworn to secrecy when Angel came clean to it about them.

To: Angel
are you and christian going to homecoming or is that still an absolute no? bc sam wants us to do dinner with him tonight but only if you're gonna come :O

She was going to text Jada too to tell her about Sam's less-than-kind invitation, when the girl beat her to it and appeared. And as soon as she did, Hailey could feel the tension between her and Katherine. Why can't everyone be friends?!, she groaned internally as she looked at Jada with a smile, hoping to soften her as she clutched Kat's hand to make sure that the brunette couldn't leave. "We're ready," she said. "Tell someone to bring a bathing suit for you to Kat's house. Let's go there."

"I love you...I do. I know...I-I-I know I don't say it often enough, but never doubt that. And never doubt that I don't blame you for earlier - for any of this. I just...you want to be Catalina right now and I just wanna forget that the last few hours just happened. Can we do that?"

That was what Chad had had to say about the situation yesterday and that was honestly how he wanted to leave it for now. While the reasonable and logical human being inside of him understood the importance of having the conversation his girlfriend had been trying to conduct, a rather petulant version of himself - which had taken on the outer visage that Catalina had to confront - was adamant to leave it where it was. Yesterday. Or...well, at the time, it had been earlier in the day yesterday, but now he was definitely not in the mood to confront the events of the day before. No, he wanted to actually enjoy a party. He wanted to drink (and did Chadwick Arsenault drink often? Abso-fucking-lutely not, but he was gonna do it today!) and laugh at some of his classmates (because knowing Chris' goofy ass, he would be the main one trying to belly-dance) trying to belly-dance, maybe even partake in some hookah. Who knew? The point was that no, he did not want to talk. No, he did not want to acknowledge the rage at which he had attacked Tony. That also meant not wanting Honey to change, in any way since he had fallen in love with her for being herself, not because he wanted to eventually change who that person was. Kinda defeated the purpose, if you asked him.

Of course, that meant asking him and he wasn't even answering his own girlfriend, so...shit out of luck going once...twice...sold and totally forgotten.

Which was good for him because soon enough he was parking a little down the street from Normani's home. It shouldn't have been a surprise that after only thirty minutes of her Arabian Nights themed beach party that the party was already all over social media with people posting pics of themselves with Hijabs (which a few of the Muslim and Arabic students had been privy to not doing because of reasons), henna tattoos, hookah vapors all around them, and going on and on about how great the party was. Hell, he could hear the music from where he was helping Honey out of the car. If Normani never made it in the fashion industry, as Chad had told her several times over, she could easily go into event planning because she never held back with a party. Plus, she had chosen a great venue considering there was ample space between her home and others, with her only being connected to the nearby few through the sandy pathway leading from the back of her home down to the beach where a few smaller homes were situated.

Once Honey was out, he linked hands with his girlfriend and made their way closer to the house, bumping fists (totally random, mind you since he could only recognize the guys from a guy classes and definitely not by name) with a few guys and waving at some female classmates. Seeing everyone else go a certain path while others stood around in the beautiful lawn with cups in their hands and conversing, he turned to his girlfriend with a small smile. "Mani's probably still upstairs beautifying herself, or so she would say. Do you want to go wait for her or head down to the beach with everyone else?"

Yes, Christian Hernandez was having a great fucking time. After helping the hostess herself out earlier in the day with overseeing setting up, making sure DJ Morse Code was good and comfortable, and test-tasting (which didn't really need to happen, but both Christian and Mani liked food so this was bound to happen) the absolutely mouth-watering foods, he had really just lounged around at a friend's house in the neighborhood until the party. Lounging meaning that he shot a few hoops, watched a movie or two, and had a bit of a video game session before showering for a second time and getting ready. Which didn't take long since, considering the fact that Christian wasn't a girl that would do the utmost at a beach party, it was a beach party. All he needed was a pair of orange Dan Ward swim shorts, a plain white muscle tee that had been thrown off about fifteen minutes ago, and a pair of Dan Ward sandals that happened to have a bit of wet sand in them at the moment - and Chris was good.

He was even better now that he and a few jocks had successfully thrown a few of the squealing Prep girls (and one of their guys since he wanted to be a prissy little bitch) into the crashing waves, with all of them coming up sputtering and screeching out playful threats. Chris high-tailed it the fuck outta dodge, heading back to one of the lounges so as not to get attacked by pissed off girls who should have remembered that being near water meant actually getting wet. Once there, he smirked at a few girls sitting and gossiping, while pulling out his phone to check on a few of his people.

To: Angel
Don't tell me ur 2 good to come 2 a party now?

To: Chad, Dom, James, Lennox, Sam, Tray
Dudes, this party is 2 live for me 2 c none of u yet

While Normani was more than ready to get to her guests and be amidst the fun and just good energy she had noted from the second people started arriving at four, she had returned to her room with Liv and Kat to actually finish getting ready. She had been adamant earlier that every detail be perfect, even with the fire show that would go on at around half past six in the evening. Just when sunset was happening so that it would be dark enough for the show to actually be entertaining and not just random, and her showing off. Not that she wasn't showing off (since come on, she was fucking amazing! Her showing off was equivalent to a lot of girls doing too damn much, just with her...ya know, doing it better) considering when was the last time Normani had even thrown a party at her own home, let along have all the details she had set up? As promised, she had gotten her girls, along with her loyal followers, manicures and pedicures. Hell, to be nice since they had all helped with setting up and being the first to sample the henna artists, she had allowed them all two glasses of her Pernod Ricard Perrier-Jouรซt champagne during lunch. And Liv and Kat would be the first to tell you - Normani did not serve such an expensive item just willy-nilly.

So, while everyone else was making their way down the dimly-lit pathway from her home to the beach where large lounges were set up with soft cushions, various draperies of jewel tones, and hookah and music lingering in the air around them, Normani was in her bedroom, fully dressed and putting on the final touches to her attire. Her own henna tattoos had been done earlier. "For the record, you can't even say I didn't warn you this time around about what I was wearing," she decided to toss over her shoulder in the direction of her closet's main entrance where Liv and Kat were still in her bedroom, fixing up the last of her eye makeup. The strapless, aqua-colored bandeau bikini she wore emphasized the absolutely flawless figure she held and a semi-sheer sarong was held comfortable on her curvy hips. Her hair had been finished just after her shower earlier and a gold-tone filigree heart crown head piece sat on her head regally, bringing together the hint of Arabian royalty that Normani was going for. Plus, there was something about wedges (or heels, in general) that had her feeling absolutely flawless. She had even changed her bellybutton ring for the occasion.

"You girls ready? Lauren just told me more people are showing up and there is a Long Island Iced Tea that is just screaming my name at this point," she said, walking out of her very spacious closet to confront her very gorgeous best friends.

Angel was selling the last of their candy before feeling her phone go off. She turned it over to see who it was from and when she saw it was from Sam. She couldn't help but form a devious smirk on her face as she unlocked her phone to read and reply to the message. Her smirk grew even more when she saw what it said. She and Sam had been trying to sleep together from a while now but, every time something either came up or Angel decided to just tease him before walking away. Mostly to play around and make him want her even more than before. She left him on read as she put her phone back down to sell the last two remaining candies before looking towards the two other girls and standing up with a smirk. "Well, since we're done. Why don't you go ahead a scurry off to your little leader to tell her how great of a job we did. That way I can walk away and meet up with people who actually have personalities other than being carbon copies of Tina Hammersmith from Bring It On Again and Normani herself Have a great rest of your day, you guys." Angel said with a smile before turning away after picking up her purse. Angel walked through the halls with her heels clicking against the floor as she walked to her locker to get her dance bag to take it home for the night. When she made it to the locker room she finally decided to text Sam back.

    To : Sam
Hmm, I don't know. You know, I don't really have an interest in being surrounded by preps. ;)

The small girl smirked at her reply before putting her phone away in her purse. She has to admit, Sam was sexy. Really sexy and the idea of sleeping with him was tempting but, what she hated about sleeping with Preps and Royals was that she always left right after no matter what time it was. She hated falling asleep in their bed. But, for the reason you may think. She has no problem sleeping over because she's too lazy or worked out to get up and drive. Hell, she did more than a few times. What she didn't like was falling asleep in some rich guy's big house and waking up probably not remembering how to get out without waking up whoever she was with. She got another message from Hailey as she stopped walking to read it. She raised an eyebrow before chucking at the last bit of the message. She sent the message before walking to her car on the other side of the school to start heading to the mall to find something reasonably priced for the party tomorrow.

    To : Hails
Just why would I and Christian be going together? And I'm for it if some else pays or I just stick to the bread and a water. lol.

Angelina was on her way to meet up with her girls. She had decided to get ready at her own house but agreed to meet up with the two. Like stated before, she just had a weird thing about being in upper class houses. Even those of her best friends. Sure, she would go every once and a while but for the most part she would try to just stay where she felt comfortable which included her house or with her girls in their rooms without walking around their houses.

Angel looked at her ruby red two piece with a smirk as she turned around to look at all of her curves. Even if she was small, the small Animal did have a body. Maybe it was genetics, maybe it was from all the sports, she didn't know. All that mattered to her is that she has a nice ass. She slipped on her small wedges and tightened the gold buckles before adding her jewelry that she... 'borrowed' from her foster mothers. She carefully added the gold necklace, cuff, and headband with a smile. She fixed her long curly locks to make the look absolutely perfect. She had people to impress today, two of them being Sam and maybe, Christian. Just a little bit. The girl looked around for her black beach dress before finding it under her sister's bed. She rolled her eyes before slipping on and grabbing her beach bag for the day that was filled with everything she needed like a towel and her sun tan lotion.

She hurried out of the empty house, since everyone else was still at their clubs or working at the restaurant. Angel, again asked for the day off just so she could hang out with her friends at the party. She tossed the bag in her passenger seat before getting in herself and starting the car. But, not before sending a text to a few people. After which she plugged her phone into the car to start her music before driving towards her friend's house.

    Hails and J
omw over now. Be there soon!

    To : Christian
Me? Never. What wrong Chris, you bored of you little friends already. ;)

Hailey wasn't surprised when the day before, Jada said "absolutely no" to hanging out with Katherine and she and Kat hung out alone. She knew it was dumb to expect either of them to willingly hang out with each other, but she had her hopes. It might have worked out to her benefit that Jada didn't come though, because Kat ended up explaining to her that she had been "temporarily" mad at Normani for speaking poorly of Hailey. Of course, Katherine spun the story into one where what Mani said wasn't a really big deal because apparently, Kat was over it by that point, but it definitely rubbed Hailey the wrong way. A girl she barely knew was calling her a whore, someone who was only successful for her relationship with Justin Beiber, and being downright nasty to her for no reason? As a mechanism to lift another girl, Honey, up? It bothered her a lot, actually. It wasn't so much so that she was really offended by the words that Mani spoke, because any girl who put herself out there could recall being called a whore by other girls who were jealous. More than anything, it was the fact that she had been trashed for no reason. She had never done anything wrong to Normani, and yet she was going to talk poorly about her just because? Just because she was some self-proclaimed Queen? Bullshit.

When she saw Jada the next morning at school, she confided in her about it, but of course, Jada was also Mani's friend and didn't fully come to Hailey's side like she wanted her to. She claimed that Katherine was a troublemaker and was probably lying completely or at least exaggerating whatever Mani had actually said. She insisted that her girl wasn't petty like that and that if Mani had a real problem with her, she would have heard about it. Hailey trusted Jada, but she trusted Katherine too, and didn't think that Kat had anything to gain by just completely making the story up. Still, Jada insisted that it wasn't a big deal, so after school, she invited her and Angel to her house to get ready. Angel declined, which wasn't surprising, so Hailey spent a few hours with Jada, getting dressed and having their hair and makeup done. Hailey decided to mix red and black as her color scheme, going with a black bikini and a pair of Balmain red leather jeans on top. With the style of the bikini top, and Hailey's desire to look good, a shirt wasn't necessary, and the outfit was finished with a pair of black wedges.

By the time that Angel got to her house, they were already behind schedule to leave for Normani's, since she lived pretty far from the rest of them. "Leave your car and get in, hoe!" Hailey shouted through an open window, but only after reaching into the front of the car where Jada's driver sat, waiting, and slamming on the horn a few times to catch Angel's attention. She waited for their friend to get in before commenting just as energetically on the girl's attire. "Daaaaaaamn, Mami. Someone's looking good. Who're we trying to impress tonight? I see some gooooood sex in your future," she voiced playfully.

During the car ride to Mani's, Hailey explained what Katherine had told her to Angel, since she had already said it to Jada (and she could tell that J didn't want to hear it or play into the drama again). "Sooooo, I feel like tonight, I get to hold the 'I don't wanna be at this bitch's house the most' card. Sorry, babe," she finished the story with. Maybe she didn't have a right to hate Mani more, but at least her dislike for her was more recent. "I'll give the bitch credit though, since I know there's gonna be an open bar here. Plus, I know Rob said he's bringing a little bit of Coke in case we get bored," she added with a grin, referencing a fellow Animal, as she stepped out of the car and followed the girls into Mani's party.

Jada did not, under any circumstance, want to get wrapped into going to Normani's party with her stepbrother and stepsister. She knew it would be suggested, as Bridget had been bothering her all day about it over text. She couldn't even tell you how many times the younger girl had asked if she thought Mani would like her outfit, if she would finally introduce her to Catalina, and if Olivia and Katherine had really walked in New York Fashion Week. Bridget wasn't young enough that her consistent texting and questions about the A-listers could be deemed as cute or endearing to Jada. It was just annoying, and honestly, she didn't want to feed into that unhealthy worshiping of the A-listers. Because really, they were just people, and a lot of them weren't good people in Jada's eyes. Part of that, she felt, was due to their inflated egos, that came from girls like Bridget drooling over them as if they really were something special and important, and that they needed to be bowed down to. There were some A-listers that Jada liked, with the Queen Bee being one of them, but she was much happier as a B-lister, with the kids who she felt were actually real and down to earth. In order to escape her stepmother and step siblings, Jada agreed to meet at Hailey's house to get ready. She thought that Angelina was going to come at some point too, but by the time their cheerleading friend did show up, they were already in the car, ready to leave.

Hailey's energy and just general craziness was hyping Jada up for the night, so she laughed as Hailey taunted Angel through the window, and probably pissed off Jada's driver, who had come to drive them there, in the process. "Mhmm, Christian's 'bout to tap that for the second time," Jada added, before laughing, "And like the first time, nobody's gotta know about it besides your girls." Like Angel, Jada had chosen red as her outfit's color for the evening. She donned a red bikini, with her top just consisting of the bikini top, while she wore a black maxi skirt over her bathing suit bottom, and black heeled sandals on her feet. Since she had no plans on actually putting her bathing suit to use and getting wet, she left her hair down in its unnaturally straight state.

"Lord, not this again," Jada complained when the car started moving, and Hailey started talking about Normani and whatever crap Katherine had fed to her the day before about Mani. Jada didn't know if it was true or not, but she did know that whatever Kat had told Hailey wasn't the full story. Mani could be a bitch, but she wasn't a mean girl where she'd come for people who had done nothing wrong to her, for absolutely no reason. She wasn't a bully (despite what Angel would say on that), and if anything, Jada would have thought that if Mani really hated Hailey to a point where she was going to speak poorly of her for no reason more than it being a conversation filler, she would have heard about it. Jada wasn't a part of Mani's clique, but she spoke to the girl frequently enough where she thought she would know if Hailey was on Angel's level of not getting along with Mani. And she hadn't heard anything about that, so in her mind, she felt like it was just a fabrication from Katherine, who was a drama-starting brat. To prove that she wanted nothing to do with the conversation, she went so far as to tell the driver to turn up the music to a high volume while Hailey explained the story to Angel. If there was anyone who was going to take a stance against Mani, it would be Angel, so Jada's vibes were dwindling as she knew that it would probably fuel Angel's dislike for the Queen Bee even more.

Finally, they got to Mani's house, and Jada nearly jumped out of the car when it stopped. "Girl, it is not even five o'clock. Do not start speaking of cocaine to me any time before one in the morning," Jada said, and at the same time, flashing the pair a warning look. She could get just as crazy, if not crazier, than the two of them some times, but Mani's parties were different for Jada than they probably were for those two, because they really had nothing to lose. At least that was starting now with Hailey, where she didn't like Mani either, and had little respect for the authority she thrusted over the student body. Jada didn't see Mani as being a Queen that she had to bow down to or follow commands from, but she also wasn't about to turn her elegant, cool party into some sketchy motel party. "Let's have fun tonight. Only positive energy, and lots of alcohol, but no coke. We have school tomorrow, and I do want Angel to remember whoever she fucks tonight so she can give us the details tomorrow," she spoke, her tone lightening as she smirked towards Angel.

Sam arrived to Mani's parties with a couple of other preps, and after hearing that some fun was going on down on the beach, a few of them, including Sam, headed down there. They got there at the end of some fun that the jocks were having with the Prep girls, which resulted in a lot of soaked girls, most in their actual outfits and not stripped down to their actual bikinis. The sight brought a grin to Sam's face, but he didn't let the rush of excitement come over him for long enough to shut his quick thinking mind down. Within seconds, he hurried over to one of the girls, Tiffany Bradshaw, and offered her the thick, white towel. After ten minutes of small talk, all he got was a peck on the cheek and a thank you, but he knew that once a few drinks hit the girl's system, he'd get a first class invitation to tear that tiny red bikini off of her. It certainly didn't reflect the classy, proper and well-mannered prep that Sam was to the world, but he couldn't resist rubbing it in to his boys once he saw that Chris had sent out a message in the group chat.

To: Chris, Chad, Dom, James, Lennox, Tray
Got here just in time to cop a feel on Tiffany after one of you pushed her into the ocean and she needed her knight in shining armor to help her dry off. Mani should've made this an all white theme. Would've made girls in soaked clothes a lot more fun but I'll take what I can get.

To: Angel
Should I be offended that three ANIMALS ditched ME last night for dinner or do you have a good explanation?

He was walking back up towards the lawn area as he sent the text, and now, he was alone. He considered following it up with another text, asking where Christian was, but it wasn't needed because within a minute, he spotted the Royal seated in one of the lounges. As he slowly headed that way, he made a note of how well Mani had done with this party. Not like he expected anything less, but still, he knew that it was always important to take a moment to appreciate the work that went into these parties. One like this was setting the year up for success, since everyone at their school was in the mindset where one party had to top the next, and anything topping this had to be really good. "Look who it is! Chris, my boy!" Sam smirked as he sat down next to Christian. "And without a drink in hand? Really? Your coach convince you quarterbacks only drink Gatorade, or you just being a little bitch tonight?" he taunted playfully, while waving over a woman who seemed to be taking drink orders to put in at the bar.

Ian did not want to admit how long he spent preparing himself for the party. It wasn't that he spent too much time on his clothes. Rather, he had to spend an hour telling himself that he wouldn't humiliate himself. He looked at himself in the mirror one last time. He was wearing a simple black swimsuit, yellow-gold shirt, and a pair of sandals. He nodded at himself.

"You can do this, Ian. You can do this," he told himself. He quickly checked his phone for texts and saw that Hunter was at the party. At least there would be one friendly face there.

To Hunter

I will meet you there. I'm taking off now.

He sighed. It had been depressing to learn that Emma had moved away suddenly. He did not know what happened. It would have been nice to see her there. Speaking of friends, he texted a couple others.

To Daniel
This is the early part of the movie where you and the Queen Bee hint at your growing attraction. You have to come!!!

To Haejin
I will see you there, right?"

With that said and done, Ian could delay no longer. If he didn't go to this party, he wouldn't go to the next or the next and he would spend most of the rest of his Senior year on the internet. With a deep breath, he headed out the door. Luckily for him, he managed to calm himself down on the drive down to the mansion. He let out a whistle despite himself. That villa looked like it was worth more than 50 years worth of his father's salary. It was no wonder Hunter felt intimidated by the girls at Hollywood High.

As he made his way to the beach behind the mansion, he couldn't help but stop when he saw Jada. She was... Well, she was smokin' hot. With an impressed, "Oi Vey", he made his way past her, stopping to wave at her and keeping his blushing to the minimum. It was the most he would be able to do without some kind of liquor in him and he knew that the bar was definitely serving alcohol, thank God. He grinned at Hunter as he made his way over to him, trying not to let the image of his friend's step-sister in a ruby red bikini cloud his mind.

"I'm glad to see you here, Hunter."

Outfit โ™• Location: Normani Devereux's Home (Bedroom to Beach) โ™• Theme Song โ™• Mood: Exuberant

"Exactly! Tell her, Liv!" Normani exclaimed, purposefully ignoring Katherine's insistence to drop the Daniel train of thought. It was a continuous argument of theirs and honestly, Normani was in too great of a mood to allow such a negativity to dampen her spirits. It was too early, she had not had a drink yet, and hell, there were too many good-looking people to eye down at the beach as opposed to listening to Katherine go on and on about how Daniel wasn't good enough. As if the girl who had barely even a lick of experience with guys could offer sage advice, but that was none of her business and Mani had to mentally drink that nice cup of shade tea that Kermit had been sipping on since 2014.

To be quite honest, Normani never knew how to talk about the Daniel situation with her friends. Well, more specifically, with Katherine. There were some things she could talk to the brunette about: her parents, when Arielle was being an even bigger bitch than Normani ever was, shoes, dresses, the one time she had a manicure that she absolutely fucking hated, etc. Hell, she could even talk about Christian, if he happened to come up or the mood struck her. But Daniel...he had been a conversation she had only truly had with Olivia, and even then, she had not really, truly delved into it. After all, like she said, what if it was a fluke? Perhaps she grew to favor him? It wouldn't be too much of a shock; look at the Taylor-Rick-Chris situation! Perhaps there was a serious friendship there...

...perhaps there was something else.

Normani only laughed her friends off as they headed outside in the yard. A few classmates stopped to say "hello" and gush over their outfits, particularly Normani. To which she smiled, appreciated theirs and kept it moving. She didn't usually act so brusque with her classmates, mostly because she was used to not treating her subjects like actual subjects and simply like people who deserved conversation. At the same time, she was in the middle of talking with her friends and there was still a Long Island iced tea practically screaming her name. Plus, if she was going to have this warm ass sun against her skin, she wanted it to be when she could officially be in the sand.

Once they were walking down the red carpeted pathway to the beach, Normani caught the back of Jada and Hailey's heads, and mentally had to roll her eyes because...of course, Jada had to keep that company. Regardless of whatever Angelina told anyone, Normani was not a bully and she damn sure had never hated on Angel. If she had a dime for every second of her day that she honestly did not think about the former Prep, she would probably be able to accumulate all the money Angel's parents couldn't garner without it having to be dirty money that they stole from investors. But of course, Normani saying that would be her being the shade queen that she was, and that just didn't do. Not when she had so many guests waiting for her and water to dip her feet into. And besides, Angel wasn't her designated stop before hitting the area she was throwing her party on. Hailey was.

"Don't ever say I don't do nice things," she muttered, pointedly tightening her grip on Katherine but pulling Liv along as well. "J-Baby!" She called before hurrying after the other trio, pulling her friends so that she stopped the other three girls in their track and making it hard for them to get past them without purposefully stepping around Olivia and Katherine. After all, Hailey liked those two and, if she was judging right, Hailey wouldn't just diss them because she was pissed with Normani. Which, in a way, she had every right to be. Normani had forgotten Katherine's tendency to not know how to keep her mouth shut, and it had only hit her once she had seen Liv off after school. But what had sunk in then wasn't a fear of Katherine going back to the blonde, but what Normani had said. And while most would not be able to say they knew a Normani Devereux that actually felt guilty, her friends did. Which was why she was doing what she was doing.

"Yaaaaaaassss, red," she exclaimed the second Normani got the chance to look over the other dark-skinned girl. Of the three females she was standing before (and it was hard to not just consider Angel a bitch in her head even when she was trying to be nicer), Jada was the one she liked the most. Mostly because she had known her just a little longer than Angel (only by a few months, tbh), but also...well, because there's a reason that there is a book out there called Why Are All the Black Kids Sitting in the Cafeteria Together? and it's not because every black person is related. She chose not to say anything to Angel, just allowed her gaze to run over the unnecessary brunette for zero point five seconds, before finally landing on Hailey. "Hailey. Before I go drown myself in music and alcohol, I actually have something I want to say to you..."

Honey put on her public smile as she got out the car and linked hands with her boyfriends. Chad was as charismatic as usual, fist bumping and waving at their classmates. Honey, on the other hand did what she usually did, remain stoic, enhance her natural pout, lick her lips, and occasionally throw a look that could excite a priest to people as she walked by. โ€Letโ€™s wait. Iโ€™m only here to make her happy anywaysโ€ She said honestly.

Chad was obviously ignoring everything and he could do that if he wanted but she was not ok with that. Yesterday, after requesting that they forget everything, which, she was trying to do, they kind of just went about their business. But honestly she wasnโ€™t ok with this at all. Honey Perez did not just push things down, she dealt with them head on, and this should be no different. So what if they got in a fight? Tony was a tool and everybody knew it. It wasnโ€™t like she punched some helpless sophomore or anything. She punched Tony, the douchiest sleaziest guy in school. If you ask her she should have done it sooner. Nobody disrespects a Perez or their family. And Chad was part of her family.

The next morning, since she had spent the night, she called up her glam squad and had them rush over to Chadโ€™s house. Tati, her henna girl gave her a bomb new design that consisted of a chain that wrapped through her whole torso. It began at her chest tracing the outer edges of her cleavage and dipping down to connect beneath her rib cage to a series of chains on her stomach. Then it looped around her back in another chain design. On her hands she got another henna design that trailed up to her forearms. Next came Camryn, who gave a her a golden look for the night with bronzer and a golden eye shadow. It was a very very rare occurrence to see her natural curls but today the songstress wore them. She had her hair in a high ponytail currently but, as always, that would change throughout the night.

Once she was done with all of that she slipped on a red patterned bikini and a ruby red partially sheer dress on top. Her aunt had picked it up for her when she went to India and Honey never really got a chance to wear it. It mightโ€™ve actually been the most sexy yet most demure item she owned. The fabric made it sway with her body and drape effortlessly on her body. The top had plunging sweetheart neckline that showed just enough and the sheer middle allowed for you to watch her body as she walked around in a way that somehow seemed riskier than just her in a bikini, it was like a peep show. She paired it with gold heels, as someone as small as her with a boyfriend taller than her needed and added some accessories.

She felt her phone buzz in the hand that wasnโ€™t laced with Chadโ€™s and saw a text from Mani. She glanced around the beach for her friend. She took Chadโ€™s hand and led him to wear more people were arriving. It didnโ€™t take long before she spotted Mani, Kat, Olivia, Jada, Angel and Hailey. She approached the group with Chad in tow and gave a small smile. โ€Hey guysโ€ She winked at Mani before adding. โ€Miss us at school yet?โ€

"Wow, whatever, J. I always thought that if someone wasn't going to go hard, it would be Angel over here, since she might still have some of that Preppy Bitch blood in her, but I guess I was wrong," Hailey said, her tone sharp, though her expression spoke to her being playful. It wasn't like she was a cocaine addict, and she really had only started using the drug at parties over the summer, so one night without it wasn't going to kill her. Besides, Jada was right. They did have school tomorrow, and this was an early party. Doing a line of cocaine at seven PM would probably make her feel gross anyway, and whenever she did party that hard, she usually slept over a friend's house because God only knew how her grandfather would react if she came home in that state. Additionally, Jada made another good point that they did want to remember whatever happened tonight, especially if Angelina's sexy red bikini drew in Christian liked Hailey hoped it would. The prospect of hearing that story tomorrow morning gave her motivation to at least be semiconscious come morning. At least for now, she would head Jada's warning, but she knew she couldn't be held to it in a few hours if she started drinking. And she definitely planned on drinking. Now.

As they walked into the party, Hailey was impressed with what she saw. It was gorgeous. Even if the party hadn't been set up with a bar and all of the lounges and all of the themed station, the property in itself would have had people's jaws dropping. A lot of the students were properly used to houses like this, and Hailey could be included in that, but her wealth didn't extend as far as many of the people she brushed shoulders with. In fact, her own parents had had their share of financial difficulties, and though she never brought it up to Angel, it made her feel more connected to the girl in that way. Her father had struggled with cocaine for as long as she could remember (which probably made her treating the drug as a harmless party drug ironic), and his addiction had led to their house being foreclosed on years ago. Hailey's grandfather on her mother's side had luckily whisked her and her sister away when her mother refused to divorce Stephen, so since then, she had only known luxury, but it wasn't like she was that young at that point where she couldn't remember it. Even still to this day, when she would go to visit her parents on holidays, their lifestyle was just that of upper middle class people, and Hailey was sure that a lot of it was a sham too. Most of her friends now had families with net worths in the hundreds of millions or even billions, so she wasn't floored at the sight of such a nice house, but she surely could appreciate it. "You two should have told me that our theme was going to be red, by the way. I wouldn't have worn black," she commented distractedly, as she scanned the terrain for the bar that she was sure was set up somewhere.

When someone called out "J-Baby" Hailey didn't recognize that it was Normani, so she elbowed Jada, as if she hadn't heard herself, and paused so that Jada could greet whoever it was. However, before they could even spin around, Normani, Olivia and Katherine were then standing in front of them, and it was apparent that it had been Normani calling out to Jada. Hailey didn't know how she wanted to react to Normani. It wasn't something that she planned on, because it wasn't like she and Mani ever really interacted alone to begin with. She should have known that she would have run into the hostess at some point, with Katherine being a main member of her entourage, but it just hadn't been something that she had sorted out. Especially with Jada in her ear, trying to convince her that Normani hadn't spoken badly of her to begin with. So, when the girls first stepped in front of them, Hailey just focused on Katherine, and that was fine, because Mani was just focusing on Jada. "Daaaamn, Kitty Kat. Someone's looking fierce. When you take off that dress you might have to get a nickname upgrade to Lioness or something," she teased. No matter what it took, Hailey was going to make sure that her friend ended up dress-less by the end of the night. Even if that meant tossing her into the ocean herself. She would have looked towards Olivia next and offered some compliment too, but Normani addressed her and Hailey met her gaze with a smile. In that moment, she decided that she couldn't be nasty. Not only was it against her character to just be a bitch and shut someone down, but she also knew that Jada could be right, and again, she wasn't going to be that dramatic bitch throwing a hissy fit and burning bridges for no real reason. "Go for it," she responded with a natural smile when Normani explained that she wanted to say something.

Outfit โ™• Location: Normani Devereux's Home (Bedroom to Beach) โ™• Theme Song โ™• Mood: Exuberant

It was upon Hailey's smile that Normani took a breath and began. "You don't have to deny it cuz I already know what Kitty Kat," and she gave the aforementioned girl a small glare before returning her gaze, softeneing it, to Hailey. "Told you what I said yesterday. We were having an argument, heat of the moment type thing. And...I know that doesn't justify what I said, but I do want to say that I do apologize. And no, nobody coerced me into this and I'm not doing this for some beneficial bullshit." Yes, ladies and gentlemen, Normani fucking Devereux - queen of bitch-tastic snark and pettiness was apologizing and if anyone recorded said apology, she would have it in her right mind to delete that shit and bust them upside their heads for the audacity. Yes, she actually had a conscience, despite what some people might say, and even she knew when she had crossed a line. It was rare that Normani apologized for anything, not unless you were actually one of her legit best friends and she felt bad for something. The fact thaqt she was doing this made her pride hiss in agitation. But she just told it to go fuck itself for five seconds. She didn't even acknowledge Honey and Chad when they walked up, simply kept on staring at Hailey.

"You don't gotta forgive and forget, and you can hate me like I'm like the devil incarnate. It makes no difference to me," she went on to explain because, to be quite honest, she could give zero fucks if Hailey did forgive her or not. While she had been harsh, she was here and genuinely apologizing for said harshness, even if it wasn't Katherine's place to go and tell someone what their conversation entailed. But then again, that was a lack of judgement on Normani's part in the throes of defending someone she cared about, and it was something she was going to live with. But she never begged - never. "After all, I'll be the first to tell you that I'm a bipolar Bayou bitch," her Louisiana accent came out only briefly, a habit despite her various speech training sessions, "But I ain't a heartless one and I know when even I went too far. So, I'm sorry. Didn't mean what I said and it's out in the open at this point, but I thought you should know. I'm sorry." Normani exhaled then, brushing a bit of her hair back for the moment. She had gotten what she needed to say out of the way and whatever Hailey did with that was all on her. She had done her part, for the sake of her own conscience, and now she could officially enjoy her own event.

Jada could only laugh at Hailey, who sometimes, was too wild for her own good. She didn't have it in her to try to stifle the girl's energy or sharp playfulness because she knew that that was just who Hailey was. She had only known the girl personally for a few months, and yet she was already more comfortable with her than she was with some of the people she had known for ten years. Sometimes Hailey came on strong and fast, but when you actually got to know her, it wasn't hard to see that her intentions were usually good. Her heart was always set on having fun, and if that wasn't an admirable trait, Jada didn't know what was. Though no one verbalized that they were looking for a drink, it was probably the place that was on all three girls' minds as they entered Normani's beautiful beach side setup. Jada had been to Mani's house before, but all it took was her slew of party planners and decorators for the property to look completely new and different, and engulfed in whatever theme Mani had in mind.

She didn't need Hailey elbowing her side to realize that someone had called to her, but before she could react to that or the actual call, Normani and her girls were standing in front of Jada and her friends. "I should've known you'd pick some color like this to outshine us all," she laughed as she shook her head. She didn't hesitate to allow her eyes to rove off her beautiful friend. Leave it to the winner of a million beauty pageants to always, day or night, look like she was trying to win some crown, and yet doing it effortlessly. No matter what you thought of Normani, it was hard to deny that she always had herself together. Even when she didn't mentally (and she was good enough where you wouldn't know that either), she always dressed to kill, even if she had just rolled out of bed.

Unlike Hailey, Jada wasn't friends with Olivia or Katherine. She kept her smile on her face even after she stopped talking towards Mani, but it wasn't directed at either girls. She didn't have any real problems with Olivia. Growing up, they'd sometimes be dragged to the same parties by their parents and the blonde always rubbed Jada the wrong way. Her mother would tell her that it was her own fault, and that her own shyness and insecurities kept her from being involved with Olivia and those kids, but she didn't feel that way. She felt like she was always being excluded from things, just because of the way she looked. She didn't fit the mold of some gorgeous girl with European features who could blend in with runway models at age seventeen. Now, she was more than comfortable in her own skin, and she could thank Mani for at least a part of that, but she would never forget how she felt like some of these girls dismissed her simply for not being "one of them". And then there was Katherine, and Jada wouldn't even consider that that girl was even worth her time. She had no intentions of addressing either of Mani's girls, but she was caught off guard when Mani started talking to Hailey. She hadn't seen Mani's text a few minutes before, and she raised an eyebrow, confused but curious as to what Mani could possibly have to say to Hailey, and if it did, in fact, have to do with the conversation that Jada had tried to drown out in the car. She kept her ears focused on that conversation, but tilted her head to offer Catalina a smile when she and Chad joined the group. "Hey lady. You're looking good," she offered with a grin, while waving to Chad.

The moment that Normani started speaking again, though, her attention shifted back to the two of them, and Jada genuinely was surprised at the apology that came from Mani's mouth. So, Hailey had been right, and maybe Katherine hadn't been lying after all. In Jada's defense, Mani's apology seemed as sincere as possible, and it wasn't like she was trying to make excuses for it either. Jada just hoped that Hailey would realize that was important in itself, and get over it, because she didn't want her friends having issues with each other. Especially over something so stupid.
