Relationship History
Since his days in high school, he's never had a girlfriend. It's not that he's never been interested in having one, or that there aren't girls interested in dating him, it's just that the girls he want never seem to want him back. He's okay with being single. Not many seventeen year old guys truly are looking to find love, and he's not an exception to that rule, but he also would be open to it. He likes the idea of being able to have one girl that he can go to and vent to, and take out, and be more than friends with. Something serious, but not serious to a point where it's forced. It's common knowledge that he's had a thing for Olivia Ellison for forever, and he's tried to ask her out several times but has always failed. Leave it to him to be confident and friendly to every girl, besides the ones that he really wants.

Current Relationship Status
Single

Virgin?
No

GoalsImage

Short Term Goals
Like the rest of his class, right now he's focusing on graduating from high school and getting into a good college. He's already applied to a couple of schools including Duke, Pepperdine and Villanova, but isn't set on any school. He does want to get a girlfriend and experience a real relationship some time before winter break, but it's not a goal he's set on or forcing himself to do.

Long Term Goals
He's not a goal oriented type of person, and he really isn't thinking about his future much. He knows that he has to go to college if he wants to be accepted as a member of his family, and he's alright with that. He plans on going into college as an undecided major and taking up something art or animation related, but he's not set on anything specific yet. The idea of working for a company like Pixar or even a digital art company sounds like a cool possibility. He knows that he wants kids... just not any time soon, and he'd like to get married as well.

Aspirations
He doubts his parents will go for the idea, but after graduating college (or maybe during his four years while taking a gap year), he wants to backpack across Europe.

HabitsImage

Spending Habits
James isn't a big spender. He has the capability of being one, and his parents probably wouldn't mind if he started spending more, but he just doesn't. His mother is the one who's usually coming home with bags of clothes for him, and his father tends to treat him to the nice cars and vacations with friends. He's usually just spending money on food, alcohol, weed, and occasionally a pair of shoes or an outfit if he's forced to shop with friends.

I've fallen off the daily-posting wagon lately, so right now, I think it's fair to say once every 3-4 days. I won't hold anyone behind when my character is involved in a scene, though.

Jameson Page was your average Hollywood High School senior, or at least, he was your average Royal Hollywood High School senior. His father was an exemplary businessman, making his 3.2 billion dollar net worth by buying and selling various supermarket chains, as well as founding Yucaipa Companies, a private equity firm that invests in retail, manufacturing, and distribution. As James what that meant and what his dad did on a daily basis, and his answer for you would go no deeper than that he knows that Ronald spends every Friday at the country club's golf course. Despite his father's insistence, he always stayed as far away from the family business as possible because he knows that he's not fit for a life in business. Though his father managed through six hour meetings, laying off hardworking people, dealing with businesses collapsing and stock values falling, James knew he wouldn't last a month in that work field. He'd never be qualified to begin with, so getting a job just because he was the boss' son wasn't enticing to him, and it just wasn't him. He definitely wasn't one of the many royals who would take over their parents' business and be set for life, but additionally, he wasn't one of the royals who had a career set for them already. There were people like Mani and Catalina who were born with talents that had already given them a name in the world. They could drop out of school right now and still pave their own path in the world without having to rely on their parents. Even girls like Olivia and Katherine and Maya, who made a name for themselves off of their appearances were doing something for themselves. They were filling a need in the world, and here he was, with his biggest accomplishment of the month, probably, being that he was able to eat four waffles and a granola bar on the way to school while managing not to get into a car accident. Forget Grammy's and magazine covers, he was the king of multitasking... and apparently, just barely, because by the time he parked his Jeep and got to the school building, almost everyone had already filed inside.

His outfit for Twin Day was unique in the respect that he was twinning with someone who didn't know he was twinning with them, and that that someone, was the school's vice principal, Mr. Alessi. The man's attire nearly always consisted of a sweater vest, so it was just an easy choice for James after most of his guy friends had paired up, and Kat refused to find someone else to twin with so he could do something with Liv. Sure, he wouldn't have someone to walk around with to make his twin choice obvious, but everyone knew that the sweater vest was a classic Alessi look. Hell, with the way some of the jocks made fun of the look, James would have been surprised if Mr. Alessi didn't know that everyone poked fun at his look. He didn't mind technically dressing up alone anyway, as something as trivial as this wasn't something he could get hung up on, and the idea of getting under the VP's skin in a harmless way made the idea more entertaining. James had a freshman lacrosse recruit get to the school earlier that morning to send him a picture of Mr. Alessi's attire as he got into school, and with that picture, he was able to find a sweater in his house that was pretty close to what the vice principal was wearing.

By the time he got into school, he didn't have time to drop by the VP's office to establish that he was his twin for the day, and had to head straight to his first period class, which was Art I. Art wasn't something that James had ever thought he would be interested in, which was why he had waited until senior year to take it. He had only taken it as an elective because it seemed easier than a lot of the other elective choices, and he did need a credit in art. Surprisingly, after only a couple of months into the course, he had grown to like it. He wasn't an artist by any means, and his work was mediocre at best, but his teacher was pretty relaxed and if he claimed that whatever he made had a message or hidden meaning in it, he would miraculously get good grades. It seemed like a class that would give him a surefire B, or maybe even a B+, and lord only knew that his GPA needed that boost.

Physics was a tricky subject for a lot of people, but Olivia enjoyed it. She was the kind of person who flourished in mathematics and science subjects, because her mind worked more logically than it did creatively. It wasn't like she did poorly in her English and art classes, but she just didn't possess that creativity that she needed to really enjoy them. It was harder for her to conjure up creative writing topics than it was for her to understand thermodynamics. Needless to say, she didn't mind her fifth period class as much as many of her classmates did. Besides being comfortable with the topics, she shared the class with a few friends, including Mani. For the majority of the class, Olivia remained silent and focused on the lecture material that the teacher was giving, for the first few minutes of each class, she allowed herself time to get into that focused mood. Rather than stop at her locker or take the four minutes in between this class and her last to chat with friends, Olivia headed straight here. It was what she always did. She hated the idea of even possibly being late, and luckily for her, her fourth period class was only down the hall from this one. It took her less than a minute to get to the physics room and take her normal seat, the one in the second row, closet to the door. It gave her perfect visibility of the board and screen, and of the clock. Plus, when the final bell rang, she never got trapped behind anyone else and could get to her sixth period class just as quickly as this one.

Though for the majority of the almost hour long class she remained silent and focused on the lecture material, or lab instructions that the teacher gave them, for the first few minutes before the class started, she took the time to get herself ready. Her pencils were situated on her desk, she finished her water bottle, and retrieved her finished homework assignment from her bag. Her last class had been with Normani and Katherine, so she wasn't surprised that Mani lagged behind a few minutes. Kat could keep anyone's ear for hours, and on top of that, Liv knew that it was frequent for Mani's followers to seek her out in between periods. Whether it was for advice, to offer her an iced coffee or treat from the cafeteria, or just share new gossip, they always seemed to be around. Olivia was used to it and didn't mind the time to get herself together, but when Normani did arrive, she offered her friend a soft smile and waved her towards her usual seat beside her. "You made it," she teased, noticing their teacher walking in just then. "We've got a lab today, right? I think he's going to say we need a group of four," she said, her voice growing lower as she walked their teacher gather himself and appear to get ready to start the class. "Let's pick two good people to work with today. People who won't be more interested in winning your heart than recording our data," she said, now in nothing more than a hiss as her eyes focused in on their teacher. She was sure that she didn't even need to say Christian's name specifically for Mani to know who she was talking about.

Surprisingly, Mr. Alessi had gotten a kick out of Jameson's Twin Day outfit, which was aimed to match the vice principal's style. James knew that it was quite possible that it wasn't so much of genuine amusement as it was him just wanting to look like a student-oriented administrator, but the level of genuineness of it wasn't a concern to him. All he cared about, was that when Mr. Alessi insisted they get photographed for the yearbook, it meant that he was pulled from his fourth period class a few minutes early, and got a late pass for physics. Even after stopping in the cafeteria for a bag of chips, he only ended up getting to Mr. Kennedy's physics class a minute late, but being late and having a late pass meant that he was able to miss one minute and not get in trouble, and he couldn't complain about that. Plus, now he had some food to quench his hunger, but just as he opened the bag of Lays and sat down, Mr. Kennedy looked at him with a death glare. "You know the rules, Mr. Page. No eating in the science labs." It was one of the only rules that James knew in this class, because it seemed like every day, he consistently came in with a snack to eat, and was shut down by the teacher. He didn't think he could be blamed for wanting to eat. It was halfway through the day, his waffles had been burned off periods before, and he had a long way until lunch. Truly, it wouldn't have been that much of a burden for him to snack in his fourth or sixth period classes, but he couldn't help his cravings and both he and Mr. Kennedy knew that this conversation was going to be a daily ritual. James just hoped that it would be annoying enough for the professor, so that he would pass him just so that he wouldn't have to deal with him in extra help sessions if he was at risk of failing.

"My bad, Mr. K," James offered, with a mouthful of chips as he stuffed the rest into his backpack. He'd finish them off in a few minutes when everyone separated into their groups to work on the lab, and the teacher was too occupied with other students to notice him eating. First, he had to figure out which group he wanted to be a part of, though. He normally worked with Christian, since he was one of the only royal males in the class, and when groups larger than two were required, they'd either try to get in with Naomi and Olivia, or they'd grab a couple of jocks and work with them. It was just his luck, though, that Christian wasn't in sight. James knew he had seen him earlier in the day, so he hoped the King Bee competitor was just out using the restroom or at the water fountain and would be back any minute. In case he wasn't, though, James knew what he had to do, and he nearly jumped out of his seat when he caught sight of Normani waving Ian Butler over to her, Olivia and Hailey. Ian, Normani and Olivia all had enough brains to do the assignments on their own and probably get A's. There was no way that they needed to be a triple threat, while he sat in the corner with some brainless football players and failed. Hell no! Especially not when he was actually friends with the three girls.

"Mr. K said that I could work with you lovely ladies," he said with a smirk, clearly lying about their teacher's words, but just being playful. "You know, he wants us to practice our group dynamics for Saturday. We're still on to go together, right, Liv? And then who's the lucky fellow who gets to go with you, Mani? Don't tell me that Ian's your new catch!" he inquired, an amused smirk on his face. By this point, he felt like being playful about Olivia was the only way that he could continue to ask her to things and not get humiliated. It wasn't like she ever rejected him, but it also wasn't like she had ever said yes and taken him seriously. He supposed that doing it this way, just claiming that they were going together and then getting her to roll her eyes was clearly not working, but James just wasn't the type of guy who was good at being serious. It made him feel uncomfortable and vulnerable, so if he could do it with a laugh and get a laugh out of other people, the rejection stung less, because it felt less genuine.

If there was one area of life where Ian shined, it was schoolwork. Academics just never gave him much trouble, though English could be challenging as it was about as far removed from his way of thinking as any subject could possibly be. Don't get him wrong, he loved to read and he had a rather large collection of Star Wars books, but his gifts did not lie in writing or dissecting the themes of 18th century bestsellers. Physics, however, was just too easy. You just needed to understand a few basic concepts and have a good head for math and the subject opened up before you.

"Hey, Ian. Come over and work with us, love."

Ian couldn't help but blush. He had been working on it, but he just couldn't help it. Normani was the most popular and beautiful girl in the school and she wasn't bitchy like some people he could name off the A-List. Almost without thought, he walked over to her, Olivia, and Hailey, only to be interrupted by someone who was most definitely a bitch.

Inwardly, he took a deep breath before replying with the most charming smile he could muster.

"I am sorry, James. I know I am quite attractive, but I am not homosexual. I could only ever be your friend."

He winked at Olivia.

"It's nice of you to be his cover. It's asking a lot to sacrifice your Senior Homecoming."

Twin Day Outfit ā™• Location: Hollywood High School ā™• Theme Song ā™• Mood: Amused

Normani pointedly ignored the look she could feel Liv was burning into the side of her face, not bothering to even to hint to understanding her best friend's ire. It was a calculated move on her part. For a girl like Normani, whose intelligence and creativity capabilities were nearly on the same level, Physics wasn't hard. No, AP would have been a bit harder, more fast-paced - more of Normani's caliber. She loved a good challenge after all, particularly in math. So, no, she couldn't have a dramatic internal breakdown like Liv might have been having over someone else fucking up her grade. Not when it was Liv and Kat who had brought Hailey around in the first place when Normani could have done without. Petty, but you reap what you sow.

No, Normani was more inclined to keep her gaze on Ian, who reacted as he normally did with that adorable blush staining his cheeks. Judge all you want, but it still flatters a girl like Normani - who's used to being the darkest of her group and not always gaining the best of light in the media despite being so high on the attractive scale - to garner such an honest reaction. And, nodding only briefly after Liv's explanation of the packet, she would have teased the need about it had James not arrived in his typical excitable fashion. Normani fixed him with an unimpressed stare coupled with a warm enough smile that conveyed her pleasure at seeing him, despite now having another partner. She hated group projects and the less people, the better. Normani raised a swift eyebrow at Liv, a need for a later explanation since the girl had continuously rejected the guy and that required some kind of explanation if he was going to go around making such claims. But Ian's response made Normani bite back a laugh, a far too pleased smile on her face directed at the tall guy. As much as I'd love to hear Ian here sass your ass into next week, let's settle down guys. The faster we get through this, the faster my girl here can give you an actual answer about Homecoming, James." Normani positively chortled at the expression Liv was bound to toss her way. Teasing her friends also riled her up.

For a Royal, James didn't take himself very seriously, so for now, he was able to laugh off Ian's comment, though slightly taken aback that a nerd like him would have the nerve to say something like that. He knew Ian through the Homework Heroes club, so he guessed that the familiarity gave him more leeway than your run of the mill nerd. Had hard liquor been involved, James' personality would have been shifted to a point where he probably would have combated the joke with his own, telling Ian that he was surprised that he was so sure he wasn't gay, considering that there was no way he'd ever been laid by a girl before in his life. However, this was fifth period physics, and James was sober, in good spirits, and just looking to mooch off of this group so he could at least get one good lab grade for the quarter. "Hey, I understand, man. I'm more into blondes anyway," he returned, looking towards Mani as she spoke and shaking his head in playful shock at the shade she was throwing. I definitely won't be writing her a recommendation letter for her wingman skills anytime soon...!

"And, the faster that you can give us an answer about your Homecoming date," Olivia added, after remaining silent for most of the exchanges, aside from a giggle at Ian's comment. If she was going to be teased, Normani could expect some teasing too. However, Olivia wasn't going to go so far as to list any names... or particularly, any one name... Daniel Jensen. Normani had confessed (or her version of confessed, with it being a lot less direct) that she had a thing for Daniel. Or that she thought she did. Or that it was a possibility that existed in some realm in some dimension, but possibly not this one. That was enough for Olivia to know that it was something real, because Mani and Liv were similar in that aspect, where they rarely came right out and said things that left them feeling vulnerable and exposed. Olivia knew the trait well enough in herself to see it in her friend, and she knew that it wasn't a laughing matter. Her "thing" for Daniel wasn't like this thing that Olivia had been dealing with James for years, so she only raised an eyebrow as the corners of her lips twitched towards a smirk.

She turned back to James, a smile still on her face, mostly because her mind was still on Normani and her love life. "You know I'll go with you, just like I went with you last year and the year before." In all of the past years that they had went together, it had been nothing more than them going to the same pre-party and after party. They went as friends, in a group with everyone else. They weren't dates. If that was the logic behind it, than he could say that he had been Christian's date, and Katherine's date, and Honey and Chad's dates too. "Yeah, but this year I want to go with you as more than just--"

"Didn't you hear your Queen?" she snapped, her tone a lot colder than she expected it to be, especially considering that she was trying to be playful when referring to Mani as that. "We have work to do, James. Or, at least we have work to do," she corrected herself, her tone shifting back to its normal, more relaxed one as she motioned to herself, Normani and Ian. Leaving Hailey out was discrete enough to seem unintentional, but like most things with Olivia, it was passively intentional. For once, James happened to be perceptive and noticed the exclusion, and in order to shift the sting he was feeling from that snap away from himself, he looked towards Hailey. "Hey, hey, hey, let's not be hasty here. Hailey and I are going to contribute to this group too." He pulled his chair closer to their desks and opened up his packet. "You tell me what to do, and I'll do it. We're a team, and I vote myself as captain."

"Oooh, I feel some sexual tension in this group, and since Mr. Quarterback isn't here yet, I think it's coming from you two," Hailey insisted, reaching out to grab Olivia's hand enthusiastically. She didn't see anything wrong with referencing the relationship history she had heard Normani and Christian Hernandez had, because even if she hadn't heard about that, she did genuinely feel sexual vibes between them. As James insisted that he and her were actually going to contribute to the group, Hailey folded her packet open to the page that everyone else seemed to be looking at. Maybe he had plans to actually help, but she didn't really. Why would she try to do something when there were three very capable people sitting right there? If she tried to do anything, she was sure it would mess up whatever they were working on, and it just didn't seem necessary in the moment. Besides, she was far more entertained with the conversation on homecoming than she was with this physics topic, so even when Normani, and then Olivia, and then James insisted that they start their work, she continued with the conversation. "So, is this a dance where everyone actually brings a date? Or the kind that you see on TV, where the girls stand on one side of the gym and the boys on the other, and everyone just drinks punch all night?" She was completely serious in her questions, though she was sure the latter wasn't that realistic. She had never been to a dance before, so she honestly wasn't sure, though. This was going to be her first main event since starting public school, and she wanted to know what the formalities were.

If bringing a date was basically a requirement, she knew that she had guys to choose from. If not from this school, than from outside sources. She had spent most of the summer with Justin Bieber, but the night before, he had called her going on and on about his relationship with Selena, so she was sure that he was hopping back on that ship. Which didn't really bother her. She and Justin were really good friends, and he was a fun time for a night or two, but she knew they wouldn't ever be a real couple. It was fine by her for now, since she wasn't looking to settle down anyway. He probably would be too busy to come, but she could find someone else. She had lots of friends outside of Hollywood High, considering she had a social life even before public school was a part of her life. Bringing someone from this school seemed like it would fit in better with her "trying to experience a normal teenager's life" motto this year, though. Partially hung up on the possibilities for her date now, she turned to Normani with a curious expression. "Are you bringing Mr. Football Captain as your date, or was James right, and Bookworm here is your date?"

At James' quip, Ian felt himself relax. He felt a little bad for snapping at the guy. He was used to people belittling him due to his clique and just recently, he decided to stand up for himself more. Still, James wasn't a bad guy, just unbearably cocky. In retrospect, he shouldn't have been surprised that he immediately voted for himself as "team captain". He shook his head with a small smile and a sigh.

"This is Normani's party. I'll vote for her as captain. I'd rather avoid the drama of a whole fight over who gets to be in charge," he said with a shrug. At Hailey's comment, he laughed.

"It's more like grinding against each other after an Animal spike the punch," he told her with a grin. He slightly flushed at her question about Normani bringing him as a date. It'd be nice, but he doubted it would happen. Besides, he had a feeling Daniel liked her and he didn't want to open that can of worms.

"Daniel is probably trying to find a perfect scene to reenact just to ask her," he murmured to himself, accidentally voicing his own thoughts. It was a habit that he picked up as a child and never could get rid of, not matter how hard he tried. He tapped his notebook with his pencil, "I wonder if Haejin has a date yet. It'd be nice..."

His eyes widened, his cheeks flushed and he quickly directed his gaze at his notebook.

"What are testing again?" he asked quickly, trying to change a subject to something much safer.

Location: Hollywood High School ā™• Theme Song ā™• Mood: Aggravated (Shared)

Chad felt the anger claw up his throat when Tony didn't seem to know how the fuck to shut the fuck up, but he could sincerely say his vision went red when the guy hauled off and punched Honey. In another world or at another time, he would have gently told Honey to calm down, let it go. Maybe even had tried to catch her fist before her hit ever landed because, yeah he was mad, but she did not need to go into full Mama bear mode and resort to violence. Besides, he could just tell Chris to get extra...aggressive with Tony on the field. You know, give him the tough love another team would during an actual football game. She should not have had to raise a single finger. But then she did and he heard their teacher yell - outside of their scope of four - that Miss Perez needed to go out in the hall. However, a second later, Tony had swung, right across Honey's cheek - no preamble, no hesitation whatsoever - and Chad literally saw red.

And dove, he honestly would not be able to tell you. All anyone outside of his limited universe - which was solely focused on doing more than breaking Tony's nose - could do was yell, "Fight." And that was it. The classroom was in an uproar and it...well, it made sense. Because Chad - yes, sweet, nonviolent, passive, gentle, definitely not violent Chad for all the disbelievers in the back - had a good grip on the labels of Anthony's jacket and was shoving the dude - yes, Chad was more than a simple Prep who happened to actually work out more than people gave him credit for - onto the flat surface of a nearby desk.

Which was why Christian did not hesitate in the middle of his basketball game (yes, he was supposed to be in class, but who the fuck wanted to go to class during Spirit Week?) to pause when one of his followers, Luke, came in to tell him that Chad was actually fighting. Yeah, once he got in the hallway, he had been like, "You're kidding, right?". Because really, who the hell would suspect that Chad would go ape shit on someone, but when he made it to the nearby classroom to see that half of the class and a few students from other classrooms were in the hallway, he knew something was real as fuck. Christian ran into the classroom to see the professors trying to pull the guys apart, with Tony landing a good jab to Chad's jaw followed by a hook Chad delivered to the already bruising face of Tony. "Yo, Chad, man, stop!" He called and ran over to help out, luckily (for the moment) without being reprimanded for having skipped class because this teacher in particular knew his schedule, pulling at a surprisingly firmer, stronger Chad. Glancing over his shoulder to Honey, who was actually sporting a bruise on her cheek, Christian bristled at the sight before remarking aloud to Luke, "Get someone to text Normani. Now."

Normani held her hands up in mock surrender while giggling as soon as Liv turned to her the same teasing grin, keeling over slightly in her fit of laughter. They probably should be focusing more on their current assignment, and it was not like Normani had ever allowed herself to not finish an assignment unless the situation called for it. But the moment was lively and they were probably the one group every person in their classroom wished to be in. However, a second later and the air around them crackled, and not with the "sexual" tension Hailey's irrelevant ass decided was suffocating them all. No, this was something more and she cut her eyes at James for pushing Liv, considering getting on the girl's nerves was not going to get him the result he desired. In fact, it was doing the exact opposite and an aggravated Royal of Normani's was an aggravated Normani. "The conversation is over," Normani replied sharply, mostly to Hailey since she didn't seem to get that the group was no longer in a jovial enough mood - despite James' bout of enthusiasm - but also to the guy in question. She glanced imploringly at Liv, just to check with her bestie to see if she was fine. If needed, Normani would kick all of them out - except for Ian. He was the only truly needed member, after all. However, she didn't vocalize anything, only smiled briefly, sweetly, at Ian for his vote of confidence.

However, even that was short-lived for just before Normani got a look at Katherine's text, Lauren came barging into the classroom, ignoring the professor's insistence that she leave. Faithful as always, her Wannabe headed only to her with a hint of desperation in her normally calm disposition. "Chad's fighting. Your girl got hit." Short an simple, but enough to cause Normani to scrunch up her face slightly in confusion and annoyance. "What the - ?" She paused, only briefly, before rising. "Bathroom break. Be back." She announced, out of slight respect for her teacher, but everyone knew where she was headed. To check on her friends, with or without the others.

Olivia appreciated Ian being the only person who seemed interested in this lab, and equally, needed to remove herself from this conversation even though Mani had declared it over. So, to give herself a moment to collect herself, she stood up to collect their lab materials from the front of the room. By the time she got back to her seat, she was nearly run into by Lauren, who seemed to not notice anyone in the room, including their teacher, aside from Mani. The brunette sprung towards their friend and spoke loudly for most to hear that Mani's "girl" had gotten hit and that Chad was involved. It didn't take a brain surgeon to realize that this "girl" was Honey, because not only was she very closely linked to Chad's hip, and not only were they also in the same fifth period class, but also, it matched up with Honey's personality. She was... volatile. A ticking time bomb. She was nearly as filterless as Katherine, and in Olivia's mind, she lacked enough class where fighting might as well have been her day job over singing.

In the time that Lauren came in and Mani left with her, there was little time for anyone to react. Even their teacher seemed caught off guard and couldn't protest as the girl excused herself for the bathroom. Olivia wasn't going to chase Mani out anyway, but it didn't even give time for James to crack a joke as the Queen hurried out with a concerned look. While they were alone, he looked towards Ian with raised eyebrows, almost as if he was saying, "These crazy bitches. Can't live with 'em, can't live without 'em." When Olivia returned to their seats, her unfazed look was almost laughable, but more so to James, who knew that she and Honey weren't the best of friends. "You can take the girl outta Brooklyn, but you can't take the Brooklyn outta the girl," James joked, shaking his head. He knew that Honey had only lived in Brooklyn for a few years as a kid, but the phrase wouldn't have worked as well if he swapped Brooklyn for Manhattan or Miami. "If anything, I'd think she'd be fighting you," he said, snickering at Olivia. "Who's Honey got beef with besides you?" he continued, closing his packet since there was no way he was going to be able to focus on anything physics related, at least until Normani returned with the details. "Honey and I do not have beef," Olivia corrected him quickly. "And I would never fight anyone, James." She had seen Katherine's text around the time that Lauren came in, but unlike Kat, Olivia had a filter. She wasn't going to be the person who verbalized that she would never get into a physical fight because it was classless and trashy. She disliked Honey, everyone in their friend group probably knew it, but no one aside from maybe Kat, could quote her on ever trash talking Honey, because she didn't do it. Olivia wasn't stupid. She knew that words traveled fast in their clique, and she didn't want to give Honey the satisfaction of knowing that she was important enough to even be on Olivia's mind at all.

"Hailey, do you want to record the data for us, when Ian and I do the experiment? It looks like we just need to record the range of the ball once it's fired, and then do all of the calculations when we finish." The lab didn't look that difficult, and having Ian there meant that things would go fine, but Olivia wished Mani hadn't fled. If nothing else, she would have been the ultimate voice of reason who could have told Hailey and James to get lost without making Olivia be the bad cop.

"Oooh, doesn't sound as lame as I thought," she gushed to Ian, after he explained how the dances usually went down. She grazed right over Normani's insistence that the conversation was over without even giving her an answer about whether she was going with Chris or not. Oh well. It wasn't like Hailey really had a thing for Christian. Anyone who was into guys had to appreciate the quarterback's perfectly sculpted body, his arrogance that was oh so prevalent, and yet had enough charm to it to not always be overbearing. If this was some 90's sitcom, he'd be the spitting image of your classic hunk, the boy that all of the babes drooled over. Hailey wasn't the type to drool, though. If she was that interested in someone physically, she rarely had a problem getting them into bed and taking them for a test drive. The lust was there, but it wasn't that strong. She didn't really know him well, and if anything, she would take him to bed, not some corny high school dance.

As Olivia got up to collect their lab materials, Hailey reminded herself of how absurd it was that Katherine was actually friends with these girls. Could they be anymore uptight? Normani over here, acting like she's the Queen of the Universe and can decide when conversations start and end, and then Olivia, so tight that Hailey doubted that James would be able to fuck her even if her legs were spread wide open. Maybe physics class wasn't the time to be playing around, unless they all wanted marks like her's, but come on, these girls needed to lighten up! Even dork of the month Ian seemed to have more of a sense of humor than they did.

In what felt like seconds, a Royal came in, said something about a fight, and Normani was gone. Of course, just because the drama was gone didn't mean that the class wasn't abuzz now with interest. Hailey was one of the many who seemed to be digging through their bags to discretely check Twitter and see if any videos had been posted, because she assumed that was what happened in high schools. She had seen videos of other fights where students would film others clawing each other apart before a teacher or security guard stepped in to break it up. James' words pulled her away from her phone, but not before shooting back a response to Katherine saying, "YAS beach & booze?". James' snide remark to Olivia reminded Hailey of what Lauren had said, that Normani's girl had been hit, which meant that James was right, and that was Honey. If it had been Katherine, who was the only other girl that close to Mani who wasn't here, Olivia would have left the room too. In what a move that was out of character for Hailey, who always had a comment on something, she didn't add anything to the back and forth between James and Olivia, and just nodded when Olivia addressed her. "Sure thing, team captain," she responded, sticking her tongue out at James after.

Though the day was halfway finished, Samuel hadn't even graced the Hollywood High School campus with his presence yet. He wasn't cutting, and he wasn't just getting a late start to the day because he decided to take the yacht out for a morning spin or was suffering from a cruel hangover. No, Sam's reason for being late was much more typical for a high school student: he had a doctor's appointment. An eye doctor appointment, to be more specific. Few people would even know that he had terrible vision, considering that he always wore contacts, but he did, and today he had an appointment to update his prescription. It was nothing major, but he took his sweet time in the office, and then made pit stops at both a local cafe for a sandwich, and then Starbucks for a shaken sweet tea lemonade that he took to school with him. His mother had already notified the school that he would be coming in late, so he only had to make a quick stop at the front office to drop off the slip from his doctor before getting a late pass to class. Then, he was off to physics class. With his lemonade in hand, he walked at a casual pace through the halls and towards the science wing. He was in no rush to sit through a period of physics, and plus, the slower he walked, the more people he passed, and the more people who would be reminded of his impeccable style and overall lifestyle. His twin day outfit was something he would tell you was nothing special. It was a classic preppy, Sam look that he and fellow prep Ted had chosen. They didn't want to go all out, taking on some comical costume or even one that was themed, but irrelevant to them. They opted to keep it classy, because that was what they were all about. Or so that wanted people to believe.

"Wow, perfect tim-" As Samuel turned into the science wing, he spotted Normani leaving their classroom and heading further down the hall towards the other rooms. He didn't catch a glimpse of her face, which he didn't particularly mind because... well, damn!, but that also meant that he didn't see the emotion that she was feeling either. So, he expected she'd stop, he'd be able to unleash some comment about how it was perfect timing that he caught her outside, because he'd get to admire her up close and personal. She didn't even stop or look at him as she hurried past with Lauren in tow, so he just scoffed and continued into the physics class. Typical Mani! Sam didn't take it personally though. He'd hit on her later when she wasn't in the bitchy mood that she was apparently in. As he walked in, Mr. Kennedy was just getting the class back under control after the minor scene that Sam had missed, and the greying man motioned Sam over to an already formed group on the other side of the room. "Nice of you to join us, Mr. Lexington. Why don't you join William, Tara and Abby over here? They could use a fourth person." Though normally, he automatically would have headed to the opposite side of the classroom where the more popular kids (and Ian) sat, he wasn't an Animal and wasn't going to backtalk the teacher.

Only seconds after joining the group, Sam was included in all of the chatter that was going on while Mr. Kennedy thought they were working. According to Will, his friend from the AP physics class texted him saying that Chad, Anthony and Honey had gotten into a fist fight. The thought was baffling to Sam, who was in the same clique as Chad... and well, Chad was not the guy he expected to be fighting. Preps in general weren't that type, at least not in school, and not when they were sober. At least in Sam's case, when he poisoned his blood with alcohol, his temper grew way too short and if someone even looked at him wrong, he could start throwing punches and claiming that his father would sue if they dared to hit him back. Chad wasn't like that, though. In fact, he often got slack for being too nice and patient and controlled. He was the last guy Sam would ever imagine getting into a fight, especially with a guy like Anthony, who Sam knew would easily use his fists to back up his words. Though it was surprising, the news made Sam smirk, especially when he found out that it was because he was defending his girl. What a dog, he thought, deciding that Chad had just moved up a step in his book.

To: Chad

Normani was unyielding when the group entered the nurse's office first, not even allowing Anthony to take a step inside. He stared her down for only a second before her steely gaze sent him right down the hall. He could lick his wounds like a little bitch when he was at home, but she would be damned if he was allowed to come into the nurse's office. Of course, all under the guise that "We wouldn't want to increase the likelihood of a second round in one of the neatest rooms in the entire building" just to get the nurse to stop giving her a bitch face just for being there. Not that Normani planned to stay the entire time or even walk the couple to the main office. She had class and Chris, despite having class, probably wasn't going to head back so late in the period. She didn't respond to Honey's exclamation about people considering her white trash or even that Olivia would try to get Hailey to replace Honey as a royal. Nobody replaced anyone without the final decision being left to Normani. And it would be a cold day in hell before she EVER allowed some random chick to suddenly be considered one of her besties, which was what all - or at least, the majority - of the Royals were. Best friends to their liege. It just so happened that Normani was the only one who was actually in power and again, she would be damned.

While Normani and Chris lingered by the opening of the nurse's office, Chad sat, feeling more guilty about being in trouble than for what he had done to actually get in trouble, hating the way the alcohol burned again his skin. The corner of his mouth quirked, instinctively, at Honey remarking that they would look badass. He also, shoving away his earlier frustration, did not hesitate in kissing her back regardless of the cough from the nurse. "Really, you two?" She snapped and finally, Honey pulled away so that the older woman could get a better inspection of him. Which only made him groan. "Cat..." he began in the middle of her plea to Normani, but Normani turned to him a sharp stare. "Shut it, Boy Scout." He could only bristle at her for the nickname, a rarity in and of itself unless she said it with a grin. "Just...wanted to tell her not to talk about herself like that," he said quietly, though the other three could hear him clearly. Normani just ignored it and Chris smirked lightly.

"Done," Normani finally said and shared a small look with Chris to which he only nodded. "Keep me posted on what the deliberation is and don't forget, beach party tomorrow." Hugging her bestie quickly, Normani finally tossed a gentle smile Chad's way. "Try not to take on any more missions, Batman. You don't have your trusty sidekick anymore." Finished with her partings, Normani headed back to class, but not without asking for a pass from the nurse. Chris nodded to Honey tensely, forgetting all about his typical flirtatious remarks in favor of turning to his own best friend. "Don't worry about a thing, Chad. We'll get it straightened out."

Location: Hollywood High School: Cafeteria ā™• Theme Song ā™• Mood: Devious

By the time the senior lunch period came around, most students were ready to go home. Particularly Normani who was already done with the excitement of the day. As soon as she made it out of her Physics class with Olivia and the others, she instructed all of her followers to find every hint of footage from the fight and delete them, sending each and every proof to her as a means to confirm that they all had been deleted elsewhere. It took until their lunch period, but it was enough to appease her mind. Once she got from cheer practice (which, for only the third time in her entire all-star cheerleading career that she actually did not want to go), she could place all of the footage on a single flash drive that she could hide unless she found a way to use it against Anthony in the near or later future. If he knew any better, he would make it later. Much, much later. Afterwards, she finalized the tweets and Snaps about her throwing a beach party for tomorrow since that was the next Spirit Week theme, a means of distraction for everyone else. Small moves, but enough to get the - for lack of better terms - "lesser" students to think about something else. However, despite the tame quality to her latest machinations, Normani was not done with Anthony. She made a promise and she was going to bury the situation. But before then, she sent out a few text messages.

To: Danny
Study date 2nite or nah?

To: Honey
Update plz

To: Angel, Camila, Chelsea
Don't forget ur cheer candy duties 2day

To: Liv, Kat
Headin 2 caf now

"I pretty much convinced coach already to bench him for the rest of the semester," Chris explained as they stepped into the cafeteria together. Normani normally made an entrance with her girls and she was going to spot them soon enough, but she had immediately run up on Christian the second she got out of eighth period. "He's pretty much fucked for the year. Coaches can't scout a bench-warmer." Normani was not satisfied. As anyone knew, messing with someone she cared about was one of the biggest mistakes a person could make. She was the one who stayed on top of any and everything. She had more dirt on the student body than a child wearing white tennis shoes on the baseball field did, and that was saying something. Despite her own band of followers, Normani received intel from students just begging to be acknowledged by her, even though she was privy to greeting all of her subjects. And that's what the students were at the moment - subjects. And she had a lesson to teach them - even if it meant making an example out of Anthony McLaughlin.

"Well, I want more," she said quickly, a hand on Christian's chest so that he wouldn't step any further into the line formed where the food was being served. She seemed to take her time in allowing her eyes to rake up Christian's muscled form before meeting his gaze. Which had his palms feeling suddenly more warm than they needed to be. He was nervous. He couldn't tell if Normani actually liked what she saw or was simply mulling over how to destroy him. Somehow, he thought it was both. "What I want is to make sure that the next time a no-neck fucker lays a hand on one of mine, the only thing on his mind is the cold chill of fear for how much more hurt he's gonna be than them." Christian didn't react for a moment, just because he couldn't read Normani. She rarely asked for violence and the other jocks could do so; they've done so. But she has never asked for it before. However, a small smirk flitted across his face as he stared down at his suddenly - though, not unsurprisingly so - sexy ex-girlfriend. "Playing with the dark side, aren't you Mani?" She shouldn't be influencing his flirtation, but that didn't stop Normani from discreetly playing with the lapels of Christian's jacket before allowing those same slender fingers to trail up his firm, covered chest. She paid no mind to the classmate nearby who had to gawk at the very obvious seduction. "Oh, baby, this ain't dark. Dark is my making it so that your boy Tony can never walk the halls of HHS ever again," she practically purred, batting her thick lashes up at him only for a moment before grinning and leading Christian over to the line.

"But see, he'll walk. I want him to, but only to gain the satisfaction of knowing that for every step he takes down a hallway, there's fear. And he remembers that the next time he steps out of the line I placed him in, there won't be mercy. I protect what is mine - we protect what is ours." It was a bold move, using them as a "we" when she had made it clear that she was not going to call Christian her man nor her King. However, stroking his ego just enough with the same amount of flirtation got the job done because his gorgeous eyes flashed hungrily before his smirk turned into a wolfish grin. "Consider it done." Normani only smiled brightly, ruffled his hair and then leaned up to kiss him on the cheek swiftly. "Thanks, babe." Ready to step away, Normani settled her gaze on the same classmate that eyed them in surprise and offered them the sweetest of smiles as she said, "You might wanna pick up your jaw off the ground, honey. You might choke on all the flies swarming around ya."

Satisfied, Normani eyed the cafeteria for her crew and found Liv and Kat entering the large room. Luckily for her, she was not one of the cheerleaders who had to run the Cheer Candy fundraiser today. They had a schedule and she had already manned it with a few choice cheerleaders yesterday, and would do so again on Friday. So, she had no need to rush over to her girls, though she stole a picture of them in the process of keeping an eye out for her crew. She would post it on Instagram later during the evening and send it to the chronicle for pics of the week. She made it her mission to traipse over to them, the naturally seductive sway in her hips a sight for sore eyes as she finally Kat and Liv. "Let's go put in our final Homecoming Prince and Princess, and then eat outside. Clifton's bringing our orders from Health Nut in five and it actually feels great out there right now. Besides, I've been in this building too long and I'm suffocating."

Hailey moved into Normani's now vacant seat when they began the lab, because it was a more convenient spot for her to watch and record the data as the experiment progressed. As Ian and Olivia got started, she quickly became distracted with her phone. Though it was on silent, she could see it light up in the pocket of her backpack, and pulled it out discretely as Honey's text came through. Although Lauren had said in front of them all that Honey had been involved in the fight, Hailey really was surprised to read that same thing coming straight from Honey. And that she punched Anthony first, and he punched her back? Even more surprising. Knowing Honey, she shouldn't have been that surprised that the blonde was the one who initiated the fight, because Honey was a fiery girl. It was something that Hailey admired about her, really. She didn't take shit from anyone and could hold her own. Obviously, no one could expect a girl of her size to beat the life out of Anthony, but at the same time, no one would expect him to punch her back. Hailey didn't know him that well, but even the scummiest of guys would usually resist hitting a girl. That crossed the line, and in school nonetheless, where there was no way that they would get away with it. While Hailey imagined that Honey was injured and maybe Chad too, she was honestly more concerned for Anthony. God only knew that his social life was ruined, and though Chad was no Christian or even Anthony in brute strength, he wasn't an Ian either. He had to have taken a few good hits too.

To: Honey
HAHA ILY you are literally too real for this school Honey Perez <3. couples that fight together, stay together, so at least you've got that going your way ;)

Her text to Honey wasn't very compassionate or concerned, but that was how Hailey was. She kept things light, especially since Honey had said she was fine, at least physically. She didn't see it as being wrong, but Hailey couldn't resist sliding her phone across Olivia's desk with Honey's text showing. "This girl is too real," she laughed, as if Olivia would feel just as amused and equally impressed with Honey's actions. "Would you punch someone in the face for Jamie Boy over here if they were being mean?" she asked, looking up at Olivia and then turning to Ian. "I bet Mani would do it for you."

When ninth period rolled around, Hailey was actually feeling more energized than she had been a few periods before. The two cups of coffee she had definitely helped, and the excitement of the fight from earlier had energized her as well. Maybe it related to her Animal personality, but things like that amped her up. If she had been in that class, or even wandering the hallway and managed to hear it, there was no doubt that Hailey would have been one of the kids cheering it on. It was that crowd mentality and just the excitement that got her adrenaline pumping.

After eighth period, she headed to the front of the school and waited for an older friend to drop off her lunch. It was a hot chicken pesto sandwich from a local sandwich shop and before she even opened the bag, her mouth was watering. It smelled amazing and she couldn't wait to devour it, but before she could, she needed to figure out where her friends were. While Katherine was one of her friends, and maybe it was one way, but she would consider Olivia to be too, they weren't her friend group. She wasn't as welcomed at their lunch group table as she would be with her Animal friends, and just remembering how uptight Mani and Liv were earlier reminded her that she didn't want to sit with them anyway. She didn't want to be a Royal.

To: Angel, Jada
Where my girls at?!?! I have the most amazing sandwich and I am not waiting all year for you bitches to respond before I eat it!!

What ended up happening with Honey? Did she get suspened?

Jameson ended his first eight periods with a ton of assignments, so he knew that it would benefit him more to just go home after eighth period. The social side of him made him want to flock to the cafeteria with the rest of the Royals, or even catch up with some jocks and head to the pizzeria down the block, but he was being surprisingly responsible today. He decided to go home and take the extra hour to work on his assignments because he knew that come tomorrow, with Mani's party and all of that, there was no way that he was going to have the drive to do a single assignment, no matter how heavy it weighed in his class average.

As he headed out to the parking lot, he passed by some Hipster asking another one to homecoming, and it reminded him of his dilemma with Olivia. She (and Normani) had refused to give him a real answer on whether she would come with him or not. A lot of the Royal guys told him that he was friendzoned, and that if she hadn't directly said yes at this point, then he should just take it as a no and ask another girl. It wasn't like James didn't have any other options. There were Preps that would go with him, probably some cheerleaders, or if he wanted to have a fun night, certainly an Animal or two would be willing too. He didn't want any other option, though. This was his senior year, and he'd be damned if he ended up going with someone he didn't actually care about! Besides, he didn't see why Olivia wouldn't go with him in the first place. They were close friends, so it wasn't like she could claim that they wouldn't have a good time together. She had to know that he would be willing to wear any color bow tie or tie that she wanted to match her dress. Maybe she didn't know this as much, but he'd drop his funny guy, never-serious act too if that was what she wanted. He thought it was obvious that he wanted something serious with Liv, so wasn't it clear that he could be a serious man if she thought he was too childish at this point? He hoped so, but the doubt in his mind had him sending out a couple of texts before he pulled out of the high school's parking lot.

To: Olivia
Seriously, Liv! Will you go with me Saturday? I promise I'll think of some extra cheesy way to ask you for the classic Instagram post

To: Katherine, Normani
Tell Liv to come to homecoming w me............................

To: Chris, Lennox, Sam, Chad, Val, Tray, Taylor
Just a heads up that I asked Olivia to Homecoming and she said yes... so one less girl on the market for you guys. Good luck.

To put it mildly, Katherine was shocked when Normani came back at her with ten times the bite that Katherine had sent her way. Even more infuriating than just that, was when she finished and turned to Olivia with the most cheerful look, as if she hadn't just been a complete bitch! Normally, she would have started crying, because that was her go-to reaction when she felt like she was being unfairly ganged up on. This time was different, because she wasn't even just being unfairly ganged up on about something stupid. No, this time, Mani was being actually mean to her, and yes, she felt like it was unfair, but it was also something that she didn't know how to react to. It wasn't like it had never happened before, with Katherine saying or doing something that hit Liv or Mani in the right spot, where they'd genuinely blow up on her, but it wasn't frequent. Normally, Katherine was bubbly and exuberant enough where she didn't put herself in these situations where anything she said held real drama or tension potential in it. When it came down to it, it was only those infrequent times that her friends would snap on her, that she was ever snapped on, so saying she wasn't used to it was really true with Katherine. Her mother had been completely absent from her life and her father nearly just as much, though less physically. Her siblings had been there for her while she was growing up, but they had all moved out by now, and even when they were around, they never put her into her place. So, needless to say, this wasn't something that she had a prepared reaction for, so all that she could think to do was grab her bag, glare at Olivia (because she was not dumb enough to direct that look at Mani right now) and storm off.

Now more than ever, she hated herself for not being able to pass her driver's test, because after calling her house in a fury, the only person who answered was her stepmother. At that point, Katherine just wanted to leave campus, so she demanded the woman come pick her up, but she knew that it was going to take a good ten to fifteen minutes for that to happen. She sat down on a bench in front of the school's driveway waiting, and growing even more bothered that Olivia and Mani hadn't followed her, and that it had been two minutes, and Mani hadn't even texted her to apologize! Obviously she was the one who was in the wrong who had unreasonably bitched out, so Katherine genuinely felt like she was owed an apology. Still in that mindset, where she had just been wronged like no other, she pulled out her phone.

To: Mani
you're literally so rude

To: Mani
and btw me and olivia are NOT coming to your party anymore

To: Mani
until you apologize

To: Olivia
why didn't you stand up for me...?

To: Olivia
you literally said that about honey and then i'm the bad guy for saying it? like wtf liv?

To: Olivia
but you know that was so rude what she said to me. like she's so mean to hail for no reason obv but she was even meaner to me by yelling at me like that for no reason

To: James
lennox is going to ask her so oh well!!!!!

Olivia didn't consider herself to be abnormally perceptive, but compared to Katherine, she apparently was, because she seemed to know better than her that Normani was going to pop if she kept it up... and Katherine did. A lot of the time, it was easy to dismiss Katherine's behavior as her just not knowing any better, or more-so, her not meaning things to come out the way she did. At the same time, a lot of it also related to how she just didn't expect there to be any consequences for what she would do. Olivia would usually roll her eyes and sometimes snap at Katherine if she was being too catty, but that dynamic they had was more sisterly than anything. It was rarely her really getting angry with Kat, even when she deserved it. Mani tended to do that too with Katherine, and between the both of them, and their shared tendency to defend Katherine from other people's wrath, Kat rarely received any social backlash. Maybe it wasn't good for her, because it gave her this false sense of security that she could get away with being ignorant. Then again, times like this reminded Olivia that Kat couldn't completely get away with it, and because she did feel like it was deserved, she didn't jump to Katherine's defense. Instead, bite after bite, she kept her eyes focused on her salad now that her chicken melt was finished. She knew that Katherine would be upset with her for not taking her side, but in Olivia's eyes, this wasn't just an argument over Honey and Hailey. Olivia didn't defend Katherine because she felt like Kat deserved a little bit of backlash to put her in line and if she was being honest, a riled up Mani always amused Olivia, so those two reasons made it impossible for her to even try to stop Mani as she responded, and in turn, shut Katherine down.

Even when Mani spoke to her and Katherine left in a huff, it took Olivia a moment to actually look at Mani, and when she did, she couldn't stop herself from actually laughing. "I hate how you're able to go from that... to this in literally two seconds," she smirked, unable to focus on the content of Mani's words (and also, maybe purposely brushing over them). "But, you know I'm going to be the one hearing about this, so thanks," she added, shaking her head but still amused as she poked her fork into the barely touched salad that Katherine had left, and took a bite. After swallowing, she decided to address Mani's inquiry, but only because she wanted to counter it. "And I already told him I would go with him as a friend! I don't want to go with a real date. You already stole Daniel, the bachelor of the year, so now there's no one good left," she teased. "In all seriousness, and with Miss Drama Queen gone, are you going with him to homecoming?" Her phone then began to buzz, three times in a row, just like she noticed Mani's had a second before. Knowing it had to be their angry friend, Olivia again, couldn't resist smirking as she casually opened the texts, but because Kat referenced what she had said about Honey, she didn't read them aloud or even comment on it. There was one from Jameson too, but right now, he was the least of her worries.

The Preps rarely ever ate in the cafeteria. Most of the time, they didn't stay on campus during ninth period, but if they did, they would eat in the courtyard. Today, most of them traveled off campus, and once they sorted out the plans, Sam left with three other preps, Cody, Julie and Devin in his Range Rover. They were head tho The Rooftop Grill at The Montage Hotel, a spot that Sam felt was decent for lunch. He was in the mood for their organic roasted chicken breast meal, so when Cody insisted on it, he didn't object. However, as they boarded into his car, he sent out an invitation to a few non-preps, and the one prep who has shocked the world by getting suspended.

To: Chad
Prove your wounds aren't that bad and come grab food w the crew at The Montage. Tell Honey to come too!

To: Chris
Trade in ur football jersey for a dress shirt for an hour and come eat at The Montage man

To: Jameson, Lennox, Taylor, Trayson
Eating w some ppl at The Montage if you're hungry and friendless, which wouldn't surprise me

He did intentionally keep Chris out of the group message that went out to Taylor, Jameson, Lennox and Trayson. Not only was he close with Chris, and already had a single chat with him that didn't take too much scrolling to find, but he also knew it wasn't smart to include him in the same chat as Taylor. Calling them not friends seemed like an understatement this year, with both guys vying for the top male seat in Hollywood High School's social hierarchy. Before driving, he couldn't resist sending a text to Angelina, who he was heavily considering finally sealing the deal with this weekend, and sleeping with. It wasn't like the ball was in his court that much, where he could just declare he wanted to fuck her and it would magically happen, but it just seemed like something that would happen eventually. He was sure that once he turned on the charm, it would happen. It wasn't like they hadn't gotten close before. He also decided to response to the group chat that Jameson had started earlier with most of the A-list guys, and send a text to Normani and Catalina.

To: Angelina
I want to pregame with you and your girls tomorrow ;). You're coming to Mani's. Meet at my house. No buts.

To: Normani
SMH I don't even get an apology for you ignoring me today in the science wing? Hurting my feelings over here, Mani.

To: Catalina
You corrupting my boy lol? If so, I approve.

To: Chris, Lennox, Jameson, Chad, Val, Tray, Taylor
Damn, alright, Blondie's outta the pool. Who else do we have that's fair game? Lol Taylor didn't you dress up as a minion with that girl? She your date? #score

He knew that it was Taylor's twin who had dressed up as a minion with Raquel, but especially with Chris in the chat, he figured that making fun of him a bit would lighten the mood, even if he meant it harmlessly.

The term bat shit crazy is something that was roaming the halls of Hollywood High like a virus. Whispers among students had grown ten-fold and it seemed that no one cared about keeping their thoughts and opinions to themselves. The whispers had grown to fully audible murmurs that resonated through the halls of the high school. Everyone seemed to had lost their mind in a matter of a seven-hour day. It was quite terrifying actually how quickly everyone had turned on each other and the school year had barely even begun.

Tension was high between everyone. Friends seemed to be turning on each other as though there was a disgusting plague that infested everybody. Seemingly, true emotions and opinions were coming out once and for all and everyone seemed to be acting upon them. And the tension was so thick, it created a fog that clouded everyoneā€™s judgement. Fights were breaking out; friendships were breaking; the day was a complete disaster.

Both Lennox and Tray knew little of what was going on around them. Tray knew just enough of what had happened because Honey had sent out a text, to him included, explaining what happened. He was a little shocked to hear about what happened, but he canā€™t say he was all that surprised. Honey wasnā€™t the type of person to sit around and let shit happen to her. Sheā€™d fight back with all her might, and Chadā€¦ well, Chad wouldnā€™t let anything happen to Honey. It seemed as though everything in the world was happening today.
Lennox received a text that infuriated him to a certain degree. Did James actually think that Lennox would believe that Olivia would say yes to him? The girl was not that desperate for a date to say yes to James Page. Not that James Page was a bad guy to like, but above Lennox Atwood? That simply wasnā€™t a thing that he would let happen. He disregarded the text entirely with the roll of his eyes and sent a text back to James and the group.

To: Chris, James, Sam, Chad, Val, Taylor
Sure ya did bud, have fun with that

Lennox knew he was running out of time. If James really did ask Olivia out to the dance, heā€™d want to hear it from her. He figured the best way to get the answer out of her was to send her a text, so he scrolled through his phone until he found Oliviaā€™s name and sent her a text.

To: Liv
Liv! Heard the news, congrats on getting asked to the dance by Jimmy James!!

Perhaps Lennox was messing with the bull in this situation, but he was going to wait for the horns to come his way before he packed away from this fight. Knox truly believes thereā€™s no one else more worthy for Olivia than him. Itā€™s entirely an irrational thought but Knox refuses to believe anything else. The pedestal is high for Lennox this time. Lennox made his way around campus looking for his friends before his phone went off again with a few texts from Sam. He never understood why Sam insisted on being friends with everyone and inviting everyone to everything. More particularly he didnā€™t get Samā€™s friendship with Tray.

Trayā€™s day was as busy as always. His friends were starting brawls with other people and tension was rising hour by hour. Before he knew it the entire Royals Class had created issues within the clique and the drama was quickly ensuing. Tray did his best to stay out of the trouble. He didnā€™t like getting involved in other peopleā€™s problems to begin with, but even more than that he didnā€™t like to be at any root of trouble. He had too much at stake to get involved in anything that caused suspensions or the likes of such. When the text came from Honey, it made Tray chuckle to himself. Mostly out of amusement of the fact that Honey tried to fight a guy. He didnā€™t expect Anthony to punch back though ā€“ didnā€™t take him for a woman beater but Anthony always has been the type of guy Tray kept his distance from.

The day went on seemingly fast, however. Tray barely had enough time to round Fergus together to help him with his plan. In between classes, however, the two would meet in the class to pass notes, plans, and ideas. Trayā€™s idea was to create a promposal for Raquel out in the parking lot. He wanted it to be something cute but not too over the top. The two werenā€™t dating after all, but perhaps this could have been the segway into that relationship.

Tray skipped two of his classes today in order to get everything together for his asking Raquel to homecoming. He went out and got a few bouquets of roses and used those to write out Homecoming? right in front of her car. He recruited the help of Fergus to stand by and watch the roses to make sure nothing happened to them. At lunch time, Tray met up with Raquel once again. The teasing was cute but Tray just wanted Raquel out in the parking lot so she could see the message Tray left for her. ā€œSo why not head out there? We should take your car Raq.ā€ Tray smiled and winked back at her as he joined Raquel and Tyler out to the parking lot.

Twin Day Outfit ā™• Location: Hollywood High School: Cafeteria ā™• Theme Song ā™• Mood: Ebullient

Even if Katherine had glared at her, which she was very smart in not doing, Normani did not pay the brunette a mind. In the time it took Katherine to grab her bag and storm away much like a tiny Katherine would have done in a fit that her nanny didn't want to give her her every second of the hour, Normani had taken a few more bites of her salad, still staring expectantly at Liv. Hell, the way she looked at Liv suggested that she had not even - in the slightest - just snapped at one of her best friends with the rage of a cat in heat. Or at least a more ferocious being. The point is that Normani did not offer Katherine a reaction and the only time an emotion appeared on her face again was when Liv laughed, causing the dark-skinned beauty to grin sheepishly with her lips wrapped around her straw.

"They don't call me a bipolar bitch for nothing," she remarked nonchalantly only a beat later, idly brushing her fork over what was left in her container. "Also, I can't help that your friend thinks she's an exception to the rules. Don't talk about my friends and I won't tear your ass to shreds. She'll get over it within the next hour." Normani was not concerned with Katherine's mood. In fact, the brunette could go the entire evening without speaking to her and Normani wouldn't feel a thing. Not that she didn't normally feel slightly guilty when she knew she hurt Katherine's feelings, but she couldn't feel much sympathy at the moment. She did not say anything horrible about Katherine at all. It was about Hailey. So, if the brunette wanted to be in her feelings, that was fine with Normani. By the time she got some of the delicious Italian dinner that would be awaiting her after cheer practice and finally got into the sweats she liked wearing, Normani wouldn't be thinking of anyone or anything. Besides, if Liv had to deal with any of Katherine's lasting bitch-fests, it would be Liv's own fault. She could always shut shit down like she did Jameson earlier.

Back to the present, Normani had to roll her eyes at the sarcastic way Olivia brought Daniel into the conversation, resting her elbows onto the table so that she could rest her chin in her hands leisurely. "While I will ignore the part where you didn't acknowledge the crux of my asking about James, I will say that I don't know about Danny right now." She answered honestly, with a small smirk on her lips that remained only briefly. "To be quite honest, I don't know if this is just some phase for me and I'll get over...whatever this is for Daniel...or..." Normani shook her head before painting on a smile, finally acknowledging her phone and the countless texts she had received, not just from her friends but from several informants. "Either way, I cannot wait until I figure out my dress. Won't matter who the hell I show up with if my dress ain't on point."
