NICKNAME(S)
"If I don't know you, let alone like you, don't even think about calling me anything less than Normani or Mani. I'm not that mean of a person, I actually like nicknames. SEXUALLY ACTIVE?
"Have I ever had sex before? Um, yeah. Not many people wait for marriage, last I checked, but I'm also not against that. I just so happened to find someone I was willing to give my first time to. Not that some part of me doesn't regret it, but considering how things once were, I wouldn't say I would be pressed to go back and change things. Have I had sex as of recently? Not really. I can get turnt on the low, but I'm too classy for a meaningless fuck."

"About damn time. I might miss being the reigning queen of HHS, but it's honestly time to get the fuck outta here."

HAIR: COLOR|| LENGTH|| TYPE|| STYLE(S)
"In my eyes, hair should be given the same amount of versatility one would give clothing and if there is one thing I'm known for, it's my hair. I already know the questions of the halls...is that her real hair? How does she do it? It's gotta be fake. And I'll admit it there and I'll admit it now...half of it is fake. I have no problem wearing extensions, and they are always keratin-bonded extensions, btw, and I only use the best, which is why I have my team from RPZL in New York fly in every three months to change things up. And for the record, it's not that I don't have hair at all. I just wanna experiment and still have hair at the end of the day."
As a girl who's hairstyle changes with her mood and outfit, Normani would be remiss if she were afraid of taking risks with her own naturally super curly, thick, jet-black hair. Her hair is one of her signatures in terms of fashion and she's been known for a few different styles, whether they be curly or pin-straight, blue or just plain black. Her own hair was cut to about collarbone length last year and has grown. As of the last few days, she has been rocking waist-length hair the same color as her own.

DISTINGUISHING MARK(S)
"Just two holes in my ears and one in my belly button for now. Nothing else. Haven't exactly decided on a tattoo."
Pierced ears & navel piercing

FASHION SENSE
"One thing I love almost as much as dancing is fashion. I love the different looks that you can have, even when you're using the same items from weeks before. It's just always so cool and I'm chic. I like saying that, I like identifying as that. I like trying things out and I can never really label myself as any one style. I'd wear almost anything."
The Devereux girls are always known for their high fashion ensembles and generally rocking the red carpet, but if there is one sibling who is known for being a style chameleon, it's Normani. Despite the wealth her parents have acquired and her title at HHS, she's the type of girl to know that she could make aluminum foil look good. She can go from something edgy, to girly, to downright tomboyish, to perhaps something that is a mix of both. It doesn't matter to her. At the end of the day, she knows she looks good and everyone else does too.

OVERALL ATTRACTIVENESS
"I'm never gonna lie. I'm gorgeous as fuck and no one can tell me otherwise. Not gonna say I'm the most beautifulest girl ever, but I am beautiful. After all, a pretty face always makes a crown look good."
As the former queen of Hollywood High will tell you, there is no such thing as an ugly Royal. More than that, there has never - in the history of the school - been an ugly queen. It's literally an impossible feat. And after all this time, Normani can't deny it and she won't let anyone else deny her this - she is a very attractive young woman. After all, not just anyone can be considered a beauty queen and Normani has won herself a few pageants in her day.

A trained dancer and gymnast, Normani has always been athletically built with toned arms and legs, and a taut abdomen that everyone has admired at least once in their lives. Her body is firm and fit with a healthy amount of curves, emphasizing the fact that she has a very appealing hourglass body. She's shapely and more than enough supporters have shown their appreciation of said curves. Her skin, constantly being brought into conversation, is smooth, blemish-free and the color of milk-chocolate with eyes that are just as dark. With hair and style that changes with the wind, Normani has definitely grown into a very beautiful young woman and while she won't claim being the hottest girl in school, there is no doubt that she is one of the hottest girls at Hollywood High. On any given scale, particularly her own, Normani would be a 9 or 10, and not a fraction or decimal point lower.

PERSONALITY
When you normally pictured or even thought of the queen bee of a high school, Normani Devereux-Dangote would never have come to mind. Hell, even her fellow royals and classmates were surprised by her succession to the throne in her junior year, a feat that isn't exactly common considering the way the line of succession has worked at Hollywood High School. However, these things do happen and they happen for a good reason. The fact that Normani is just a very deceptive young woman is simply a misinterpretation of her character on your part, never on hers. After all, she is a smart girl and the people who have to consistently tell themselves that they know what kind of girl she is really don't. You can't exactly just tell yourself that you can get into the mind of a natural-born leader, a queen. That is simply foolish and honestly a rookie mistake, which is why Normani is on the throne and others...simply are not.

To be fair, she is not a fake person; there is simply a duality about her that brings you in without you even realizing it. Enchanting, exasperating, challenging, exciting, and complex - Normani is so many things and more. She did not truly deceive or be superficial as those who simply are envious of her will state. In fact, Normani can be as real as they come and that is one of the reasons why she is so liked. From the day she stepped foot in Hollywood High, she was the perfect mix of sassy, sweet and unabashedly outspoken. A bit shy, surprisingly, at times, but definitely likable. More than likable, she is...an interesting individual person to get to know. She can attract people quite easily and has a very infectious smile simply because it's a real one. It's not fake sincerity shining in her eyes, but a genuine amusement and probably enjoyment that she has no problems in expressing at times.

Normani has always been a fun individual, that one friend who would probably more than likely be the first to propose a road trip to the middle of nowhere or have some connection to a party in the next town over. She's adventurous like that and it is very easy to see why people are so attracted to her. She is always goofing off with friends and is genuinely vivacious, an entertainer at heart. She loves putting on a show, loves being and has a surprising way with words, despite the occasional bouts of surprising silence and pensiveness. You wouldn't think it, with her bubbly persona, but Normani is very good at convincing, even the shyest of people, to get loose. Hell, she has to convince herself to do so at times...if her best friends haven't convinced her to do so already. Have fun, be young and dumb. She will never just be friends with anyone; she knows the rules of the school and how things are supposed to be run. Which is why she has her moments of composure; when she seems almost unimpressed by people and perhaps even a bit like she's too good for being as ratchet as some of her classmates. Which she is; Mani also just so happens, again, to like to have fun and her real friends, particularly her Royals or those she considers her best friends, know this the best.

However, while Normani is as nice as she wants to be and generally treats everyone the same, she also understands the ways in which a kingdom is run. A ruler who dominates their people without an inch of leniency or kindness is more than likely going to have to deal with a mutiny, and that is the last thing a girl who wants control will ever want. So, yes, that smile in the hallway you thought was directed to you, was probably directed to you. It's just because Normani understands how not to treat people like shit, but also how to retain the manners her mama taught her. You can't own the red carpet every time with a bad attitude, after all. Besides, she does not have to prove every single day that she can be a conniving, vindictive, unforgiving and relentless bitch every single day. Honestly, that's bothersome and why do that when people have learned that she can be as sweet as pie?

Image

While it is important to note that Normani will never make any of her subjects feel less than if she can help it, there is a reason she is both feared and loved by the students of Hollywood High. If you happen to be able to make her laugh enough or engage her to the point that a girl like Normani isn't perpetually bored by your presence, you will find that Normani is the official roll dog, ride-or-die, and officially awesome bestie you never knew you needed. There is nothing that her friends, particularly her Royals, can't have because she is willing to get it for them. Hell, even some of her classmates are privy to her generosity because again, Normani wasn't raised to be rude. If someone's in need, she will not be the first one to tease them, but in fact, give. It's in her nature as a woman who knows how to get others to let their guards down, but equally as a genuinely compassionate human being. She can give sound advice and is willing to be the ear one needs on those dark nights where the need to eat ice cream and sob our your lungs is mandatory. At the same time, if you are a foe or someone she does not like, there is the side of her that is exasperating, harsh, and downright frightening that you almost forget that there was a genuinely sweet girl standing before you.

As she can be sweet, Normani can also be mean. And her wrath is the last one you want to elicit unless you truly want to commit social suicide. While Normani can inspire and uplift, she can also tear down and belittle at the drop of the hat, especially at the defense of her own honor or that of a friend's. Particularly of a friend's. She's developed too strong of a self-esteem to allow anyone to tear her down now. But once she feels wronged or that someone she cares for has been wronged, Normani takes charge and when she does, you better run for the hills or start apologizing immediately. And the worst part of it is, she won't charge immediately. Make no mistake, when Normani does finally go off or make a move, you'll know about it. She'll be vicious, unforgiving, and exact. Again, she is not fake and will gladly tell you to your face that she won't like you. At the same time, she is smart about the ways in which she handles situations and that nice little silver tongue she used to convince Sally to come to a rave in Nevada is the same tongue she uses to put the fear of something more than even God in you. And getting what she wants, especially revenge, is not a problem for Normani. She will handle things logically and not impulsively act out, but she will make it so that you understand that her way is law. There is no other way around it. She is queen and you are not. If she wanted something, it will be hers. And she's hardwired to have it as such, whether you like it or not.

But make no mistake, that is a side of her only the worst people can bring out. Some might say, as always, that she's probably just a very fake young woman; deceiving everyone into thinking she's nice. And in a way, they are right. She is deceiving everyone - she is simply deceiving them into thinking that she is relatively harmless. However, only the idiotic believe that. She might not deal with your tears for too long and tell you upfront that she won't, she might even seem a bit insensitive at times simply because extremely emotional situations just aren't her forte, but Normani has always remained a caring, kind person. There's just a bit of the devil inside of her as well. It's your choice which side you happen to bring out.

STRENGTH(S)
As several articles and the like have pointed out, Normani is a trained and accomplished dancer and gymnast. If there is one thing she can bring to any stage, it is an easy yet captivating way in which she moves across a stage - free-flowing and uninhibited. Normani absolutely loses herself in dancing. More so, Normani's overall confidence in herself and her abilities is something to be admired. Despite any criticism or disdain seem by unwanted individuals on social media or even at school, she hardly - if ever - seems to allow anyone or anything said to truly bother her. Another thing is that Normani has an energy about her that others just naturally feed off without even trying to. She's good at exciting and entertaining people.

WEAKNESS(ES)
While she is quite sure of herself, Normani is competitive and a bit of a show off. She likes the idea of being the best and doing the most, showing everyone how great she is and her ego does sometimes need to take a back seat. She has a thing for control and is particularly cross when she feels out of it, and she does not do well with emotional situations. She can comfort, but not for a long time. Also, it's important to note - and you can probably ask one of her best friends this - that Normani needs not ever try to be in the kitchen unless she is test-tasting.

MENTAL DISABILITIES?
"Obviously, being too cute is a disability. It's such a burden."
None

LIFE PHILOSOPHY
"One of the most influential things anyone has ever told me is to never compare myself to someone else. It meant that I needed to have confidence in who I am and what I can do, and not worry about the next person. Still working on the latter part, but I've been trying to live by that every single day."

“Never forget what you are, for surely the world will not. Make it your strength. Then it can never be your weakness. Armour yourself in it, and it will never be used to hurt you.”
~ George R.R. Martin, A Game of Thrones

SHORT TERM GOAL(S)
"Of course, to ace the semester would be the goal. Not that that has ever been a problem before, but it's definitely on my agenda. And to ensure that one of my girls wins Homecoming princess. I know, I know, the queen usually wins and I did, last year. However, I can't always be selfish and one of my girls deserves it. Not that I'm just giving it to her, I'm running, sort of. I just know who I want to win."

LONG TERM GOAL(S)
"Considering the fact that short term wise, my plans are a bit shitty, my intentions are to pass the year with flying colors and get accepted into a good business school, preferably FIDM. Unlike Alicia, as much as I love performing with her when she invites me on stage and attending different red carpet events, I never saw myself officially as a performing artist. It's fun, but I'm the daughter of two very successful entrepreneurs - black entrepreneurs, to be exact. So, unlike my oldest brother and sister, I don't see myself working for my parents until they hand over anything. Working with my mom, sure, but I don't want to inherit the company. I want to make my own."

ASPIRATION(S)
"Fashion. I don't know what the specifics are, and I'm only eighteen so I'm not exactly required to, but I've always wanted to make a career out of fashion."

HOBBIES
"Because it's the one thing that takes up my schedule, I'm always going to say cheerleading. I've been cheering and doing gymnastics since I was four, and dancing since the year afterwards. So, technically, all three take up my time. However, a close second and basically falling into the same category would be keeping fit. I love to work out just as much as I love to eat, and I can eat a lot if we were being perfectly honest. Third, though is definitely social media. It's a kinda a thing of this generation and what-not. One thing I'm also always doing is something fun. I'm not going to say I took up amazingly unique things like Muay Thai or pole dancing, or even surfing despite living by the beach. But I like doing new things and trying something different. Whether that be snails, which is super fucking disgusting and I'm still pissed that someone told me that shit as decadent, or acro yoga or even flying to some small country for a random ass festival, just know that I like getting my feet wet. Wherever it just so happens to be. It kinda helps that I have a private jet and ish."
Cheering, staying fit and social media

PLAYS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS?
"Surprisingly, no."
No

PLAYS ANY SPORTS?
"This is no longer an argument. Gymnastics is a sport. It wouldn't on the Olympics if it wasn't. Cheerleading is a sport. Hell, dancing is a sport because some of the best athletes can't bend their bodies the way that I can. So, of course, when you ask if I play a sport, cheerleading is always going to be the answer. I am the captain, after all."

SPENDING HABITS?
"My parents are billionaires. I don't have to pretend to be conservative. If I want it, I get it, especially if it's beauty products. I'm a huge fan of Clé de Peau Beauté, both Philip and Lauren B., and don't even get me started on my monthly Bath & Body Works splurge."
Whatever she wants, she buys it.

DRINKS?
"Let's be real. Americans like to tell themselves that they are strict about these things, but nobody actually waits until their legal drinking age to drink. Of course, if you were a cop or socialite, then of course I have only sipped on that sparkling drink at dinner parties. However, if you were anyone else, I'd tell you that fruity cocktails are forever. Get me a strawberry pomegranate mojito right now and I very well might be your new best BFF, swear to God."

SMOKES?
"The most I've ever done is hookah. Not trying anything else, other than that one time Alicia forgot that she was giving me pot brownies instead of regular brownies."
Only hookah, unless you count the one time her sister accidentally gave her pot brownies.

OTHER DRUGS?
"Um, no. I'm adventurous, but I also like being alive, thanks."

PLACE OF ORIGIN
"Fun fact, I'm the only one of my parents' kids who was actually born in the US."
New Orleans, Louisiana, USA

UPBRINGING
The youngest of the Devereux-Dangote clan, Normani was the last piece of a puzzle that would technically never be whole again. While both Fatu Devereux, a business tycoon in the fashion industry, and Joseph Dangote, the most powerful and self-made CEO of Nigeria had been compatible when they first met, the two were never meant to function as a happily married couple. Fatu, at a young age, had moved from France to Nigeria, and then to America during her teens. She would not return to Nigeria until after her second child was born and would leave before Normani was ever born. The two had met at a socialite's engagement party in New York when Fatu's textiles were being used in a collaboration with the newly engaged woman's friend's line. It definitely wasn't anything like love at first sight, if anyone was being completely honest, but the lust they felt for one another was enough to create their first-born child, Arielle. And perhaps it was more of an attachment than actual romantic interest, but whatever the two had was enough for them to bring two more lives into this world. Three, technically. It just so happens that by the time Normani Devereux-Dangote was born, Fatu had overstayed her welcome in Nigeria, packed her children's things, and fled back to the home she had found in an appointed Italian villa in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA.

Despite the distance between her parents and the fact that she had to split her holidays between the two, Normani could never say that she didn't have the life most kids would want to have. Because of her mother's position in the fashion industry, Normani was able to attend as many fashion related events that her little heart could dream, including red carpet appearances. Because of her father's Nigerian socialite background, she was able to form and sustain lasting connects with several international families. She was able to do as she pleased whenever she pleased, received anything she wanted without ever having to ask twice, and Normani could honestly say she had a happy childhood. A mother who spoiled her while being the firm hand a headstrong girl like her daughter needed, sports as the best way to express herself and be her usual competitive self with, siblings who never took the shine away from her while being as annoying and fun as any older sibling could be, and even a father who loved her enough to make an effort despite how much he and her mother could not get along. Looking back to her beauty pageant tiaras and her competitive cheering and gymnastics trophies, Normani couldn't complain for the life of her.

CHILDHOOD HERO
"See, my first answer is always Beyonce. She's just really fierce and sexy and she owns that. But then there's my mom and Beyonce's great, but no one trumps my mama."
Beyonce and her mom

DREAM JOB
"A princess ballerina, but only because Alicia claimed being a queen. I had the bigger tiara, so.."

PET(S)
"Sorry, no pets. I was always too busy to care for one and honestly, my mom's kinda allergic to everything that breathes."

Even then, I'm not even worried. My mother is a business tycoon and is the chairman of both a tailoring company called Supreme Stitches, and of The Rose of Sharon Group which consists of The Rose of Sharon Prints & Promotions Limited and Digital Reality Prints Limited. Name: Joseph Dangote || Relation: Father || Age: 50 || Life Status: Living || Occupation: CEO & Chairman
"I love my Dad. That's never gonna change. He's so accomplished and such a indomitable force, if that makes sense. Like, my Dad just really has a steely resolve and sometimes, yeah, he is as much as an ice box as people claim he is. He's detached and I get that a bit from him since we're not the most emotional people in the world. Dad's just strong and I hate that he's always in Nigeria, but I know that he's working hard and I'm proud of everything that he's accomplished."

Name: Fatu Devereux || Relation: Mother || Age: 48 || Life Status: Living || Occupation: CEO & Fashion Designer
"Literally my rock and my greatest inspiration. My mom was the first person to ever get me into fashion, especially after she showed me the Christian Dior Junon dress at the MET gala. Mama has been the best friend slash best mom in the world slash dictator slash everything else you can think of. My mom is literally the bestest. She's so dedicated, despite everything that's happened between her and Dad, and she was even the president of the Fashion Designers Association of Nigeria. She still holds the position of trustee and I genuinely appreciate how real she can be."

Name: Arielle Devereux-Dangote || Relation: Eldest Sister || Age: 28 || Life Status: Living || Occupation: Managing Director
"Ari is definitely Dad's daughter. Like, literally they can stand next to each other and with the same resting bitch face, you could never say that they weren't related. She works with Dad a lot too, considering how much she's been interested in business. Both she and Javie went to graduate school for business, and she already has a position. And I'm proud of her, I really am. I just have always felt closest to CC. Ari holds any and everyone at a distance, and that's cool, but she does it to family and I don't know what the fuck to do with that. But I do love my sister and I like when we do get to spend time together, when she's with her husband and her baby. The baby is the most precious thing in the world."

Name: Javier Dangote || Relation: Older Brother || Age: 26 || Life Status: Living || Occupation: Graduate Student
"Of course, no family is complete without the overprotective older brother who would probably keep me single until I was thirty if he could help it. Luckily for me, he's studying at the Stern Business School and can't do shit since I'm the one with the jet. I love Javie, he's great. He was the main person who influenced me to just try shit just for the hell of it."

Name: Alicia "CC" Devereux || Relation: Older || Age: 24 || Life Status: Living || Occupation: Singer
"The main person everyone can blame for having your girl out here spoiled as fuck. Between all my siblings, I'm definitely closest to Alicia and maybe it's because she's only six years younger than me, who knows? CC is just really fun and she's one of the most important people in my life. Above even my mama, she's the one person I can tell just about anything I want and know that it won't get back to anyone else. I literally started dancing just because I loved watching her growing up. It just so happened that I'm better, and she knows it. I absolutely love my sissy poo to death and I love that she's letting me live in her house."

HOW HAS SENIOR YEAR BEEN FOR YOU THUS FAR?
"I love being able to say I'm a senior now. I mean, it's gonna suck a bit when my two-year reign as the queen of these halls is over, but I've had a good run and I'm enjoying my last year here. It's a lot of work considering I want this to be a memorable year with my Devil Girls bringing home first place in championship and such, but I'm happy thus far."

MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO?
"Obviously, prom night. That's the pinnacle of one's high school career and everyone knows that my goal has always been prom queen. Not that I don't already have that in the bag, but still. The anticipation is killing me. This and finding a suitable heir. I have a possible idea, but for now, my pretty little lips are sealed."

FEELINGS ON SPIRIT WEEK?
"One of my favorite weeks of the school year. It's usually a lot of fun and one of the few times where the social rules are set aside in favor of fucking with the classes below us."
Excited

FEELINGS ON CLIQUE?
"Would you complain if you were at the top of the ladder?"
Happy

DESIRED CLIQUE? WHY?
"Being a Royal was my destiny the second I knew how things were run at Hollywood High. Wanting anything else is a lie and my being anywhere is nothing but blasphemy."

ANY CLUBS? SPORTS?
"I said I was interested in fashion, so it should come as a surprise to no one that I'm the president of FIDM. I'm also the captain of the cheerleading team."

AVERAGE GRADES? STUDY HABITS?
"I've never gotten anything below a C+ and even that's pushing it. And I'm not gonna lie and say I spend my every waking second doing homework. What I will say is that I know I wanna have fun, I know what my mama would do if I wasn't doing what she sent me here to do, and I know the only way to get what I want and not be a loser with a crown is to get my work done. That's kinda all the motivation I need right there. It helps that AP courses boost up your GPA."

CURRENT GPA?
"May not be a nerd, but I've got the brains of one. Or, maybe just the work drive of one."
3.9995

Tuesday, October 1, 2015: Spirit Week: Twin Day: 7:05 AM

It is, yet again, another day at the infamous Hollywood High School. At the same time, it isn't just any regular day. It is the second day of Spirit Week: Twin Day. And while most students are exhausted already on only the second day of one of the most fun weeks of the year (since they're all still technically still students and midterms aren't gonna study themselves), others are excited to pair off with their twins for the day. Excited to purchase Homecoming tickets...maybe anticipating actually asking that special someone to the dance. Don't forget that for the maximum amount of points for your class ALL or close to all of your classmates have to participate. Our delicious Devil Girls are giving out decadent treats during the lunch periods for the Cheer Candy fundraiser, Homecoming Prince & Princess nominations need to be submitted soon, and don't forget to pick up your Halloween tickets for Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain...

Twin Day Outfit ♕ Location: Hollywood High School ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Amused

"I mean it exactly as I said. I have no intention of winning Homecoming Princess this year," Normani Devereux repeated herself - for the final time, she then decided - as she exited her royal blue Bentley Grand convertible. Siobhan, as she named her car, let out a small beep as she pressed the lock button on her keys before slipping the set of keys into the pocket of her jeans. Sliding her Michael Kors backpack over her shoulder (being mindful of the nails she had done herself last night), Normani fully turned to her group of followers, her own personal set of Wannabes that could always be seen following a few paces behind Normani if they all weren't rushing to class. Not like she treated them like followers, most of the time. From the outside, the other four girls seemed every much like a part of her circle as Normani wanted them to. After all, she didn't need them feeling the need to feel used. That left room for a hostile takeover out of spite and jealousy, and Normani Devereux did not have time to deal with one small mutiny in the midst of her two-year reign as queen of Hollywood High school. "Not like I'm making it some kind of public announcement or anything, but I have no need to win again. Don't make me repeat myself and don't any of you repeat me either." Her gaze was sharp, eyes slit only for a second, before her smile appeared again as she grasped the container of french toast muffins her head chef baked for herself anyone she wanted to share with.

While most of her classmates probably bitched and moaned their way through hot showers and breakfasts meant to wake them up to get to school that was only five to ten minutes away - twenty at the max, Normani lived an hour and twenty-two minutes away. Which meant she had been awake earlier than most, save for one Prep she knew for a fact worked himself to stupidity. It wasn't too much of an issue Normani; she had been doing so since freshman year and had a routine. She would wake up and perform yoga stretches, run a mile and a half, and then shower and go through her usual morning care regimen. Once that had been settled, she sat for breakfast, brushed her teeth again, and made sure all of her homework was collected in her backpack for the day and that her cheer bag was prepared. Afterwards, she got dressed in the Tommy Hilifiger outfit that would match with her bestie, Honey. While the latter was more inclined to wear a strapless crop top and high-waisted shorts, Normani preferred the long sleeved crop top, regardless of the California weather. For one, it was still a crop top and it allowed her to show her pierced navel. But it had sleeves since it was only slighter cooler in October, and her shorts and Nikes gave the entire ensemble a nineties feel that Normani could get with. She even added a pair of large silver hoops just to channel the era she felt that she was embodying. Once her hair and makeup were set, Normani gave an ootd post on Instagram, grabbed her bags and the freshly-baked muffins, and jetted over for the day.

Classes didn't start for a little over twenty minutes and Normani was in no rush to head inside to the cool building she would be stuck inside until later in the afternoon. So, she leaned back comfortably against her convertible as her followers welcomed themselves to the muffins that sat upon the hood of her vehicle. As they cooed over them hungrily (since Dinah always had a habit of skipping breakfast and Camila just loved food), Normani smirked in amusement, allowing her gaze to run over the parking lot as students and staff alike made their way over to the entrance of the school, conversing in groups or striding in in singles. A second later and she was texting her people, especially considering two were bound to be together.

To: Chaddy, Kit Kat
I swear if u 2 r fucking when i have muffins 4 yall...

To: Daniel, Maya
Saving u a muffin

To: Chris
Don't tell me u forgot ur alarm again

Honey awoke to the worst sound you can hear on a Tuesday morning: an alarm clock. She shot a hand out from under her comforter in search for her alarm clock amongst the pictures of her and best friend, boyfriend, and their group of friends that covered the silver pedestal table. Finally, after knocking a picture of her dog scotch off the table she finally found the snooze button. With one problem down, the songstress sighed and pulled down the covers. Her dog Scotch ended getting half of his body covered by the blankets but he seemed content with his predicament, or he might have just been lazy enough to not care. Probably the latter.

She slipped out of her bed reluctantly and extended her tanned arms above her head. If she hadn’t slept simply in a pair of panties she might have opened the windows but she couldn’t afford the bad publicity of a topless photo right now. The paps had been even more reckless since the photo shoot. Not that they weren’t aggressive before, they just seemed to have even less humanity now that she turned eighteen and it wasn’t considered child pornography. Discreetly as possible she peeked through the thick dark mauve curtains that hung on gold rods. Yup, surely enough the paps were camped outside. With a shrug she walked away from the window and turned on her music on. She had the new system that blared music throughout the apartment.

As soon as Cake by the Ocean by DNCE came on she grinned and strutted her way to the bathroom. She turned on the water and danced in front of the mirror as she piled her hair on top of her head before stepping into her own personal shower heaven ”Let’s lose our minds and go fucking crazy.” She sang as she carefully took a shower, careful to keep her hair out of the way of the jets. When she got out she strutted naked confidently through her house. She eyed herself in one of the mirrors she passed and smirked. She looked damn good and she knew it. Usually she would spend a good thirty minutes picking out an outfit but she didn’t need to today because it was the first day of spirit week and she and Normani, her best friend of three years and the queen bee of Hollywood High, were twinning it out. She pulled on her Tommy Hilfiger crop hoodie with some destroyed shorts and her Nike sneakers. The outfit was comfy but sexy and showed off the toned stomach she worked all summer for. She quickly took a selfie in her full body mirror and added the tongue emoji and the water drop emoji and sent it to Normani on Snapchat.

Finally, she started on her hair and makeup. She lined her eyes with winged liquid eyeliner and added a nude lipstick before adding bronzer to contour her face and lining and filling in her eyebrows. Her hair, which was already blown out and given natural looking curls was put a ponytail, albeit her baby hairs which were brushed down. Content with that she headed to her kitchen. She had her assistant pick up one of the Milkshakes that Chadwick loved and she poured the content into a container before placing it on the counter beside where she was making morning juices for her and Normani.

Finished were her smoothie, Honey placed them in similar containers and put them in a drink holder. Which she balanced, along with her bag and a banana on her way out the door. She breezed into her private entrance elevator and into the garage to her gold Mercedes Benz G Class. She set the navigation, because she had a terrible sense of direction, to Chad’s house. She knew he’d be up so she simply sent a text that said: I’m outside

As his girlfriend predicted, Chad was very much awake. Had been for about two hours, which would probably be highly disliked by both his girlfriend and his best friend, but he couldn't help it. Since dating Honey, he had grown accustomed to learning to...well, not over-work himself. So, that meant that last night he didn't finish all of his Publications II homework and had woken up early enough to finish it and get ready for school. A mug of coffee, a plate of scrambled eggs and a hot shower later (with the fresh scent of his soap still lingering on his warm skin) and Chad was printing out the revised copy of his writing along with the edits he had completed on the page before. Leaving him just enough time to go get actually dressed since he was only wearing a pair of sweatpants and socks -

To his left, on the family room table, his cell buzzed, vibrating gently against the dark marble. It forced him to set down the packet he had just stapled down so that he could read it. Just in time, it was a text from Honey and he grinned, scooped it up, and padded through his newly furnished, spacious compound in order to reach the front door. Once there, completely unabashedly considering she had seen more than him simply being shirtless, Chad swung the door up and grinned down at her. After all, Honey was tiny. Honey with heels was still tiny, but Honey without...well, that made Chad chuckle. "Good morning, beautiful,” he greeted her, gentle, as he leaned down to peck her lips. Which yeah, gave him the exact same thrill as when she first started to kiss him. Before, he had always been the least bit bold of the two, but now...well, there really wasn't any point of resisting, right? Not when she was willing and his. It really shouldn't have exhilarated him as it did to be able to think that.

However, some things didn't change and the tingling of his lips after their kiss still brought a small flood of warmth to his cheeks, and Chad smiled, sheepish. “I actually...um, have to get dressed. Just really quick.”

Chad had definitely bulked up over the summer and Honey definitely took notice. She openly checked out her boyfriend as he walked up to her and couldn’t hold back the grin that spread out on her face. She placed the drinks on the seat of her car just before he greeted her with a kiss. She sighed contently at how right it felt just being around him. ”Good morning Handsome,” She said looping her thumb into the waistband of his jeans to pull him closer. She loved that he was more confident about approaching her now. Not that she didn’t find his sheepish temperament absolutely adorable but she liked it that he took charge too. When he mentioned changing she stuck out her plump bottom lip and widened her eyes innocently, ”I wish you didn’t” She said looking at his fit torso and licking her suddenly dry lips. ”I could make it worth your while” She teased, standing on her tiptoes to playfully bite his bottom lip.

Suddenly her dark eyes widened as she suddenly remembered the drinks. Oh right I almost forgot I come bearing drinks.”[/ color] She leaned into the car and grabbed his milkshake. ”I’m gonna take a lucky guess and say all you’ve had today was eggs and coffee. And that plus the fact that your only in sweatpants, not that I mind, means that you’ve been studying. Are you finished yet?” She raised an eyebrow at him, she knew it was in his nature to work really hard and she always found that trait endearing but she hated when he overworked himself. She and Mani had been trying to get him to loosen up a bit at a time.”You know I’m telling Mani right?” She said handing him the milkshake and walking ahead of him into the house. She headed straight to his bedroom and sat criss cross applesauce on his bed.

”Oh your matching with Chris right?” She asked taking her hair out her ponytail and letting it fall out all around her. She ran a hand through the long tresses that hung in her face. ”Remind me why we still hang out with him. The other day he commented on my butt. I mean yeah I have a great butt, but the only one who gets to touch or talk about my butt is you.” She said with a slight pout.

Chad - and he would stammer out a denial if questioned immediately afterwards - positively melted when Honey pulled him flush against her, and felt a shudder of desire race down his spine when she took his lower lip between her teeth. Luckily for him, and time since they did have to start getting ready to head to school soon, she pulled back to retrieve drinks. He had to take a breath to will the heat that flared in his lower abdomen to dissipate, but it wasn't long before his girlfriend had his full attention. “Because you're a great girlfriend,” he noted with a bit of a dopey smile.

Chad couldn't help the dry, sheepish chuckle that came from the back of his throat as he was handed a drink. It took him only a second, after - in a daze of feeling caught and well, because Honey's shorts were kinda distracting so early in the morning - scratching the back of his head, to fall her back into his home. “But you dont have to tell Mani,” he proffered as they entered the large room, setting his drink down on the nightstand. A small trick he learned from Honey herself, he tossed her a rather innocent look, dark eyes appearing larger, rounder almost. Deliberately teasing. “Please?” It didn't take long before a grin broke out on his face. “But I was good, I promise. I just didn't finish something last night, so I went to sleep and woke up to do it. I'm done now.”

While Honey made herself comfortable on his bed, Chad walked over to one of the gray chairs where his outfit for the day sat. Chris had decided, after - and Chad usually didn't use this word when referring to his friend, but it was needed - bitching again about Rick not naming him as his successor, that they were going with a Givenchy theme. Black, red and white. Quickly and after humming in affirmation at the question she asked, he kicked off his sweatpants, forgetting again the nerves he occasionally felt at being exposed in front of Honey. It was only, however, when he was zipping up his dark jeans that what she said officially sank in and a glower crossed Chad's face. Luckily, he wasn't facing Honey anymore.

Chris was trying. He was trying Normani's patience and he was trying Chad's, and they were the main two in their group who actually liked him. Like really, really liked him. Considered him someone special. But it always seemed like Chris was testing people, as if he wanted Normani to demote him and Chad to glass him. Hell, the fact that Chad - the antithesis to Chris' aggressive, violent tendencies - considered violence as a plausible action was indicative how badly Chris was pushing him. And maybe it wasn't just Chris that currently had Chad's shoulders tense as he grasped his shirt. Maybe it was just any guy who had something to say about Honey. As even she declared, his Honey. “Because...he's been my best friend since I was ten and because he was probably just joking," he said, a bit tighter than his normally relaxed tone for Honey, and pulled the shirt on. He turned around to a girlfriend with a warmer, sweet smile. “I'll talk to him." Christian had not been playing, but neither was Chad.

Honey knew that she shouldn’t complain about Chris to Chad. The problem was that she couldn’t talk to Mani about it either. I mean how do you walk up to your best friend and say “hey you know your ex? He’s been trying to get in my pants/ he’s been trying to tell me my boyfriend isn’t good enough for me”

She knew that Chad hated talking about when guys said something to her body but she needed him to say something to him and it wasn’t fair that she just takes his antics. I mean between him commenting on her butt and that one day he told her that Chad couldn’t “handle a girl like her” she was getting fed up really quickly. She sighed when Chadwick explained how long they’d been friends, ”I know baby, forget I brought it up your probably right. He was probably just kidding. I’ve just been so stressed out about the paps camping outside my apartment building and the upcoming homecoming dance, which I’m gonna assume you’ll be my date to though I wouldn’t mind a super romantic homecoming proposal.” She said slyly changing to topic of the conversation. Though she knew the real way to take his mind off of Chris and the drama they’d been subjected to lately was so much more fun.

With a sly smile crawled to the foot of his be, maintaining eye contact the whole time, and sat up leaning on her knees. ”Come Here,” She said reaching out and tugging him close to her by his shirt. Her position put them at eye level and she took full advantage of it by snaking her arms around his neck and melding their lips together. She eased away from him only far enough to look into his face, ”Doesn’t matter though. I’m yours and I’m not going anywhere.” She smiled genuinely and gave him one more peck on the cheek before asking with a cheeky grin. ”As much as I’d love to convince you to climb back into bed with me and show me just how much I’m yours we have to go Mani and Chris are expecting their twins to show up.” She winked at him, ”Plus there is always tonight…”

She smiled at him but in the back of her mind she wondered if, if the situation came up, he would defend her against one of his oldest friends. She hoped so but she also knew it would be a lot to ask him to choose one year of dating over ten years of friendship.

It only took a Honey officially changing the subject to ease some of the tension that wracked Chad's body, but it still wasn't enough to ease the strain he could feel internally. Despite Honey apologizing for bringing it up, the fact of the matter was that it was a thing and she was his girlfriend and the last thing he needed was his supposed best friend making commentary about his girlfriend. And especially when it was behind his back since Chris probably kept it to himself until Chad wasn't around. For now, however, he had a very beautiful girl on his bed reminding him that he had not officially proposed for them to go to the Homecoming Dance yet and that alone made a large grin relax his facial features fully.

Obediently, Chad fell into Honey's arms, closing his eyes immediately and kissing her deeply the second their mouths together. She was soft and it sucked that she could tease him like that, pull away so quickly when all he wanted was to bask in her warmth. Her assurance made him smile, brightly smile, and he ran a hand through her hair as he replied, “Neither am I.” He was a second from saying that Chris could go fuck off somewhere when she pointed out that he would probably be upset if his twin missed school, but kept it in. Besides, Normani wouldn't let them live it down if she didn't see either of them and while Chad felt inclined (and it was still an unnatural, unnerving feeling for him even now) to simply litter Honey's rather exposed float with hickeys, he didn't need his other best friend to take the time to roll through his house like a hurricane. “You're probably right. Knowing Mani, she'd actually buy that chasity belt she was talking about for Christmas.” Which was, honest to God, the last thing Chad wanted. He would not go so far as to say he was a sex addict, considering the fact that sex had never felt...well, necessary to him. It still didn't, but he damn sure enjoyed it now.

Still with the threat on his mind and Chad willfully (and it was one hell of a will) ignoring his very tempting girlfriend, Chad hurried to slide into his white Addidas and grab his backpack before extending his hand to Honey, pulling her out of bed. “Ready?"

At the mention of a chastity belt Honey cringed because as Chad mentioned she wouldn’t put it past her best friend to but one of them a belt. It went without saying that her and Chad were of course sexually active. He was a gentleman of course about it. He wouldn’t even let her get into his pants until at least a month of dating when she was ready around their… first date? It was no surprise that they had a healthy sex drive though I mean taking into account the level of attractiveness of both of them. And if Honey was honest just the fact that he was hers was enough to drive her nuts. It wasn’t to the point that she was grinding on him in public but she did enjoy a certain level of PDA and Chad had always indulged her impulses when it came to kissing, touching, hugging and such.

She nodded at him when he asked if she was ready to go and let him pull her out of bed. She laced their fingers together and kissed his hand as they walked out the door. ”Take your car?” She asked once they were outside the house. ”Be right back baby” Honey said slipping away from him long enough to walk over to her SUV and grab her and Mani’s smoothies along with her bag and walk back over to him.

Chad gave Honey's hand a small squeeze after she kissed his and they exited his room. Once they made it back to the foyer, he scooped his set of keys off their hook. Honey stepped out before him, and he hummed his affirmation that they would take his Rapide as he typed in the security code. Despite the very open plan of the home that one would see rather intimately if they stood in his backyard, Chad's security was the latest and most efficient, and he made sure to keep up with it. That secured, he locked the door behind him just as Honey returned with a second drink and her bag.

Knowing Mani, she's probably already at the school having a photo shoot at her car. Chris'll meet me there.” It would probably take another minute or so for Chris' name to not leave a sour taste in Chad's mouth. However, for now he had his girlfriend, they were headed to his car and they had an entire day to hopefully not worry too much about anything too serious.

Honey heard Chad's phone buzz at the same time as hers. She didn't have to check it to know that it was her best friend probably asking where she is. She sent her a quick text saying that she was twenty minutes away at Chad's house and that they were on their way there.

About twenty five minutes later the two arrived at the school. As always the people around them stopped what they were doing at the sight of one, if not the most, notorious couples of Hollywood. She tucked her body under his arm, letting it rest on her slender shoulder. Her bag was slung on one of her shoulders and she carried her and Mani's smoothies with the hand that wasn't tucked into the back pocket of Chad's jeans. She gave her friend a quick Cat smile as she approached. I wish we got some action this morning" She said handing Mani her smoothie before wrapping both of their arms around his torso and laying her cheek on his chest.

{Dialogue written with BurningBridges}
"We're literally still inside my air conditioned room and I'm already hot. Let's just put on the outfits that I got for us yesterday, Kat. Come on, a full denim outfit in October? Whyyyyy?" It was twin day at school, and as always, Olivia and Katherine had paired up. Both of the girls had impeccable style, and ones that usually coincided with the other's, so Olivia wasn't hesitant on giving her friend free reign on their outfits for this year. Normally, Kat was reasonable, though, or at least, she was reasonable in terms of her usual behavior. This morning when she woke up to the brunette making a ruckus in her closet, she began to question Kat's sanity, though. The girl had chosen outfits for them that were both very nice, but something that was definitely either more appropriate for a California winter day, or for a fall day somewhere where fall was actually a season... and not just an extended period of summer. Through Katherine's persistence, Olivia had somehow been convinced into putting on her outfit, but the thought of wearing it out in the California heat already had her sweating.

"Oh my God, stop being so dramatic, Liv! I told you a million times- it's an ode to New York. If we were in New York right now, this would be a perfect outfit, and I'm tired of California weather today. We can pretend that we're in New York, and if you just stop complaining, it'll be fine. The school is air conditioned too, so you're seriously just being such a drama queen right now." Being called dramatic by the girl who had drunkenly sobbed for an hour straight the Friday before because she thought she had lost her lip gloss made Olivia roll her eyes, but she decided she was over it. There was no use in arguing with a girl who really never took no for an answer, and as she stood in front of her full length mirror and examined her reflection, she decided that she did look good enough to put the discomfort on the back of her mind for now. As a model, it was something she was used to anyway, and she figured that Katherine was right, in terms of them being in air conditioning for most of the day. "Whatever, Kat," she responded with a sigh. "Just looking through these posts, I can guarantee you that we're going to be the only ones 'pretending we're in New York', but whatever!" Her tone was playfully passive aggressive, so to suggest to Kat that when she did start complaining about it later on, an "I told you so" would be guaranteed. She continued to scroll through Instagram posts as she waited for Katherine to reappear from the closet wearing a similar outfit, and liked Normani's OOTD post before getting up.

"We're already running late, so let's just stop for breakfast somewhere on the way," she insisted as she noticed the time. Olivia and Katherine were nothing more than best friends, but it wasn't unusual for Katherine to regularly spend the night at Olivia's house. For one, her home was now vacant of her two siblings, so there was definitely a lot of room to spare, but that could be said about most houses in Beverly Hills. The driving factor behind Kat sleeping over frequently was how poorly the brunette seemed to adjust to her father getting remarried. Olivia thought that she just wasn't giving the woman a chance. Everyone knew that Katherine could be a little bit of a... princess, to put it nicely. She liked things her way or no way, and she wasn't accustomed to having anyone in her life, aside from her sisters, who would actually put her in her place. From the few times that Olivia socialized with Kat's stepmother, the girl seemed quite nice, and someone who would probably be more of a friend to Kat than a mom, but Kat wasn't having it. Rather than having to spend every night on the phone with her as she cried about how unfair her life was, Olivia welcomed her over whenever she wanted to stay. It was something that she would do for any of her friends, though, really. Despite not seeming like the warmest person, Liv really did care about her friends a lot.

Raquel and Tyler had been planning this day since the beginning of school, to be honest. Twin Day for Spirit Week was always fun and quite enjoyable to see who everyone was paired with. Raquel and Tyler decided to dressed as a pair of Minions from the hit movie The Minions. They finally came to that decision after so many others such as Mario and Luigi, famous video game characters, Thing 1 and Thing 2 from The Cat In The Hat and even Starbuck's Lattes, which were their favorite drinks from the popular coffeehouse. Tyler came up with the idea of dressing up as Minions and Raquel was exhausted with coming up an idea for Twin Day so she shrugged her shoulders and called it a night with the idea.

Raquel was up first inside of her home as she sniffed the air around her and the aroma of an array of breakfast items made her nose tingle with delight and her stomach grumble. She threw the covers from over herself then walked down the stairs, rubbing the sleep out of her eyes as she saw Tyler standing there over the stove, finishing up breakfast. "You made all of this?" She questioned happily while walking up behind Tyler with a smile.

"Why, yes. Yes I did." Tyler answered with a smile thrown back towards Raquel. "Wow is all I am saying." Raquel responded while sitting in a stool at the counter top as Tyler sat down a plate in front of her. "Enjoy." Tyler spoke through a smile as Raquel instantly picked up a fork and dove right into her breakfast that was prepared by Tyler. She moaned at the taste and savored it while she could. Tyler took the next seat beside her and basically did the same thing as they looked at each other and chuckled. "So, when are you going to talk to your brother again?" Raquel asked Tyler and silence filled the air. Tyler looked down at his plate and shook his head. "Don't know. He crossed over and now, it's like I don't even exist. We still love each other, yes but he's busy with becoming King Bee or whatever." Tyler spoke then waved his hand dismissively at the last part of his sentence.

"Oh. Well, if no one asks you to Homecoming, I'll go with you." Raquel said as she wrapped her arm around his and pressed her face up against his muscular arm. "Thanks but aren't you going with Trayson." Tyler made kissy faces and noises towards Raquel, who blushed while looking at him. "No. He hasn't even asked me yet. Plus we're just friends." Raquel said as Tyler rolled his eyes and scoffed. "Oh, whatever. He likes you and you like him. Just ask him out." Tyler insisted of Raquel, who waved her hand in the air. "Wait, isn't the guy suppose to ask the girl?" Raquel asked. "Yeah, but it's Modern day, change it up a bit, Rocky." Tyler nudged her slightly then got up from his seat, carrying his plate over to the sink, rinsing it out and grabbing Raquel's plate and doing the same. "Come on, we do not want to be late." Tyler said while walking back up the stairs and getting ready in Raquel's bathroom while Raquel got ready in the lower bathroom.

As soon as they both were prepped to start the day, Tyler ran down the stairs in his costume and looked around for Raquel. She was in her room, getting ready. "Raquel, come on or we'll be late!" Tyler yelled upstairs then instructed her butler, Carter to bring the town car around. Carter nodded his head and did what he was told as Raquel finally made her way down the stairs. "Ugh, it's about time. Come." Tyler waved his hand for her to follow him as Raquel pulled out her cell phone and sent a text towards Tray.

To: Tray ♥
From: Raquel
Plz b at school already. Me and Tyler are coming now.

She hit the send button then got into the car with Tyler, who was taking multiple selfies and posting them on Instagram and Snapchat. Soon, they both were taking selfies together and posting them, gaining instant likes from their fan base. "So, excited to see others dressed up?" Raquel asked as Tyler shrugged his shoulders then looked over towards her. "Yeah, I am but I know that we'll be best dressed." Tyler chuckled as Raquel shook her head with a giggle.

The drive to the school wasn't really a long one but they made it just in time, seeing the Queen Bee and her followers already there. They both just looked and kept on walking, not wanting to try one of her muffins. "She probably poisoned them with her witch powers." Raquel muttered as Tyler looked back at Normani then turned back around. "She's probably the one who brainwashed my brother." Tyler said as they made to the entrance of the school. "Wait, we should wait for Tray here." Raquel said while linking her arm with his tightly so that he doesn't move. "I don't want to." Tyler groaned as Raquel rolled her eyes then pulled out her cell phone again.

To: Tray ♥
From: Raquel
Where r u? Here in the hallway w/ Tyler.

Again, she hit the send button then looked towards Tyler. "You know, you should really text your brother good morning, or something." She urged him to do so as she made her puppy dog face towards him and Tyler scoffed while pulling out his phone. "Fine." Tyler typed a message towards Taylor then hit send and showed Raquel. "Happy?" She gave him a small hug and said. "Ecstatic." She released her grasp from around the scanned the halls for Tray. "He might be a bit surprised to see us dressed as Minions." Raquel muttered again as they were getting several stares from their peers and underclassmen but it might because they were standing right at the entrance of the hallway though.

Tray had been up all night the night before. Not only had he gotten home near two in the morning from the restaurant after a late shift, but he had to stay up taking care of his brother who was having some sort of an attack when he got home. It was a little frightening to see, to be honest.

Tray was walking up to his apartment door when he noticed it was open just a sliver. Freaked out, he called the police before walking through the door. He armed himself with his keys between his knuckles to do ultimate damage to whoever had thought it was clever to break into his apartment. That is, until he heard the piercing shrieks of his younger brother, Jamie, coming from inside the apartment. Slow was not a pace Tray was familiar with at the moment. He busted through the already open door to find his near elderly next door neighbor, Bea, trying to calm Jamie down. The boy looked at her with red in his eyes as he screamed nonsense at the top of his lungs. Tray ran to sit next to the boy on the couch and hugged his head to his chest, shushed him quietly, and rocked him back and forth until he slowed down his movements and quieted himself down. The boy sat murmuring to himself once Tray peeled himself apart from JT. He stood to address his neighbor, “Thank you very Mrs. Sully, I really appreciate you being here for him.” The older woman nodded her head as Tray slowly shuffled her towards the door. “He was screaming, you know?” At these odd hours of the night, I thought the boy was being murdered.” That old woman was always dramatic. Tray wondered how she managed to get through the door. “Yes, well that happens when you’re a paranoid schizophrenic.” Tray tried hard to make that as non-sarcastic as possible but he’s not sure he succeeded. “Isn’t he on medication? Because he should be. Woke me right out of a deep sleep.” Tray simply nodded. “The door was unlocked, so I let myself in. To check. You know? Wanted to make sure the boy was safe.” Beatrice Sully stood outside in the dimly light hallway of the apartment while Tray stood in the doorway, holding onto the door as though it was the only support he had standing up. “And again, I couldn’t be more grateful. Sleep well, Mrs. Sully. I’ll see to it that it doesn’t happen again.” Bea nodded as she walked away mumbling something, and Tray slowly shut the door behind her, locking his three locks on the door. He sighed and turned his attention back to his brother.

By the time Tray actually went to bed, it was only a few short hours before he was up again. He was up a half hour before his alarm but he just wasn’t able to get back to sleep. He got up and got himself dressed in his twin outfit for the day. He got JT dressed and ready to go. He packed themselves and they were on their way to school. Tray had to walk JT to his class to let his teacher and the nurse know that he had another episode. The meds that Tray usually had for JT ran out, even though the dosage didn’t seem quite right to begin with, and he’d need to pick some more up after school. JT would need to be watched closely today in class. After dropping off his brother, Tray made his way to his own school. Two texts came from Raquel while he drove, which made his tired eyes smile as big as his mouth did. He was truly happy when he was around her. He parked his old jeep in the student parking lot and walked towards the school sending Raquel back a text.

To: Raquel
From: Tray

Hey you, making my way towards you now. Sorry for the lateness. Rough night.

He turned into the hallway and from there he could see Tyler and Raquel dressed the same. He smiled to himself from a distance and waved to catch her attention. Once he got closer, he realized what their attire was: minions. “Really cute. You guys look like…”
Tray couldn’t get the words past his lips without laughing.

Lennox started his day on the wrong side of the bed. He woke up in perhaps one of the grumpiest moods he’s been recently. Normally, Lennox doesn’t have a care in the world about school. He gets good grades, he has tons of friends, he always has something to do, someone to talk to, and somewhere to be but for some reason the last place he wanted to be at during spirit week was school. He didn’t quite understand the stupidity behind it and who in the world was to blame for the idiotic idea of a whole bunch of doofuses walking around school dressed like each other. So when he rolled out of bed in the morning, he pulled together an outfit that he hoped to God no one would copy. He didn’t even want to post an OOTD on Instagram like he normally did so that no weird kid would try to dress like him at the last minute.

He grumbled his way down to the kitchen to make himself a quick breakfast. The house was empty, as it normally was by this hour. For whatever reason, Knox felt as though he lived in this house alone. Perhaps it was because he rarely saw his parents, or because it was always so dead quiet except for the occasional music blaring from his younger brother’s room. Either way, most of the time Lennox felt alone, he was at home. He opened the fridge, the cabinets, the pantry, but found nothing that he felt would satisfy his taste. He rolled his eyes and let loose a whiny sigh. “Always forced to fucking starve in this house.” He mumbled to himself just under his breath. Lennox let go the idea of food, grabbed his car keys, and headed to the garage. He climbed into his Land Rover and drove to hell.

Pulling into the parking lot, Lennox could see Normani. She was surrounded by little Queen Bee wannabe’s and it brought a smile to his face. “Always have someone up her ass, doesn’t she?” It was a true thought though. Queen Bee always had someone kissing her ass, or on their knees begging for her to say their name or breathe their air. He thought it was amusing. Knox parked the car and walked over to Mani. He pushed through the wannabe’s and leaned himself up on the hood of her car. Taking a muffin to his mouth, Lennox smirked at Normani. “Queen Bee, are you partaking in this foolishness?” He asked in reference to Twin Day. “Also, are these muffin gluten free? Trying to watch the carbo-load intake.” He asked as he chewed on another bite and pat on his stomach.

Chadwick only smirked when Honey practically pouted at Normani about wishing she had gotten some. But what made him chuckle was Normani's absolutely disgusted face as she replied, "Don't make me throw up my breakfast." The small grin for her best friends said enough for Chad. She was only joking. When they first made their way over to Normani and her band of followers, Chad noticed Lauren looking anywhere other than at Honey, and he tilted his head imperceptibly. A second later and only after Normani recognized the couple approaching them did the girl straighten her expression. He almost even dismissed it until Normani caught his eye, shaking her head imperceptibly before focusing on something behind them. "Aww, look at that. We're all here." And only a beat later did he hear a voice he honestly did not want to hear.

"Morning to you too, babe. Just got your text. Couldn't wait to see me, huh?" Christian Hernandez practically purred towards her from behind Chad and Honey, and Normani raised an uninterested eyebrow. She didn't even bother offering him an actual expression; the only indication of any type of emotion was the raised eyebrow. Christian let his eyes roam over her girls before setting on the top of Honey's head. "Honey." Finally, he turned his gaze to Chad, who stared back levelly. "Chad." "Chris." They both stated one another's names with a crispness that made Normani's eyes shift between them. She knew the boys weren't on the same page at the moment, but they normally didn't stay upset with one another for too long. Chad was not the type to hold a grudge and Christian could be an unforgiving asshole, but that normally did not extend towards Chadwick. Except now...it was and Normani was puzzled, but did not show much emotion. Her face was unreadable as she smirked and exclaimed, "And look at that! You both look like the American flag. How cute!" It wasn't a genuine compliment at all, but it was enough to snap the two out of...whatever it was they were in. Chad's arm tightened, reflexively and discreetly, around Honey and Christian broke eye contact. "Yeah, right."

"Aww, don't be a stick in the mud, Ivy League," Christian drolled, pushing past Chadwick to get towards Normani. She watched, from the corner of her eye, Lauren and Dinah instinctively tense up and the latter make a move to step closer to her, but Normani shot them both a warning glance. Of her followers, Dinah and Lauren were her most loyal and the only ones who could officially - without question - call themselves Normani's actual friends. And they were always the ones quick to jump up when they sensed a threat, and Christian was one. She twisted her lips in distinerest at his proximity and watched the Royal eye the muffins she did not intend on sharing with him. "Channeling Betty Crocker today, babe?" She nodded in a faux enthusiasm before folding her arms over her chest. "Yep and these cute little muffins right here are just like me. Not for you." She stated sharply, sarcasm dripping from her tongue. Chris stared down at her, face impassive save for the flicker of hurt that bled through. It was enough to make her feel bad for a second before she squared her shoulders more. She did not have time to make a scene. They needed to get to class.

And Chris' dismissal came in the arrival of his friend, Lennox. Normani's smile was a bit more relaxed in Lennox's face when the male approached her and took a muffin she did not offer. Huffing at all the testosterone in the air, Normani scooped her box up. "Sorry, babe. I'm a sucker for carbs and I do believe you'll be a sucker if you're late for Mr. Ozwitz' class again? What about you, Chris? Aren't you getting detention if you miss class again?" Normani regarded her ex with a steely gaze, one that left no question to her wanting him gone. Chris stared her right back before grinning. "Probably right. Let's go, Lennox. The girls need girl time." He said, putting the words in marked quotations as he stepped backwards, raising his hands up in a surrendering gesture. It was only after a few more steps did Christian stop, pausing only to acknowledge Chad. "Coming, Ivy League?" Chad didn't answer at first, just kissed Honey's temple and taking a muffin from the box Normani tilted his way. Exchanging one more glance with his best friend and queen, Chad gave a small grin before following behind the boys, falling into line with them almost begrudgingly.

Normani was more than pleased when the boys walked ahead of them and did not even pretend to hide the eye annoyed eye roll once Christian's back was to her. She had the right mind to feel bad, especially considering that when she dismissed Chris, the dismissal included Chadwick as well. At the same time, it also included Chris 2.0 or whatever Lennox told himself he was, and she could not help but be relieved.

"Anyway, we should probably head inside soon. I actually like my first period and I have to go by my locker," she declared and took a small sip of her smoothie. As always, Honey got the exact one she loved and Mani appreciated the taste of strawberries on her tongue. Her followers did not move until Mani had begun walking inside with Honey, falling into line with her best friend as the two made their entrance into Hollywood High. As always, all eyes were on them and Normani only smiled, waving to a few classmates. More so, she was eyeing the halls for her two other best friends and heir. It was one thing to come in with Honey, sure. It was not an uncommon sight to see just the two of them together. However, Kat and Liv were usually at least a step behind them, if not Kat clinging to Normani's arm with Liv right beside her. Regardless of whatever beef Liv seemed to tell herself she had with Honey, it was just common. Her girls were with her or at least at their lockers, and Normani had not caught sight of them. It caused her to pull her phone out to see where they were.

To: Liv, Kat
Dont tell me 2day was a skip day & no one included moi??

"Leave us," she demanded and her girls were quick to follow what with Lauren being the last to leave. Normani squeezed the brunette's hand before linking arms with Honey. "Remind me why I'm supposed to actually deal with that...dick. Even Chad's upset with him and we both know Chad doesn't stay mad at anyone for too long."

Olivia could hate all she wanted to - Katherine knew that their outfits were cute, and more so, she knew that Olivia was going to give in if she refused to put on something more appropriate for the warm weather. It was different, being in the position where she wasn't actually the one doing the complaining for once, but she didn't have much time to dwell on it. Before she knew it, an hour had passed since she had showered and blow dried her hair, and she was hurrying just to get the outfit on before Olivia rushed her out the door. The blonde insisted that they didn't have time for breakfast, which didn't bother Kat in the slightest. She was in remission from her eating disorder... most of the time. Being completely recovered seemed like an impossible goal to reach, but where Katherine was now, was a lot better than where she had been in the past. Right now, she could eat meals with other people around. She could fall asleep without spending hours wanting to kill herself over eating an extra ten calories worth of food than she had planned on. She didn't spend hours at the gym trying to burn off every last calorie that she had eaten that day. Was she still conscious about her weight and eating? Absolutely, but that was something that she wasn't sure would ever go away. For now, she was more healthy than she could ever remember herself to be, and for her, that was a major step.

Katherine didn't drive, so like Liv's house, she was as comfortable in her best friend's car as if it were her own. Getting her license was something that she knew she needed to do soon, but she was still too distressed from failing the first time to try again. Besides, being able to drive around with her best friend wasn't the worst thing in the world, especially since Kat had adopted the habit of spending multiple nights a week at Liv's house to avoid her own father and stepmother. "Let's not stop. We can get lunch later. I don't want to be late when I'm wearing such a cute outfit," she suggested as she fidgeted with the car's stereo system. "Right, because I'm going to survive all day with nothing to eat. We're stopping. Not my fault that you spent all morning trying to figure out which shade of denim matched denim better." Olivia was apparently more uptight than she normally was this morning, and it had Kat scowling as she leaned back in her seat to sulk. "Well, you better go somewhere on the way. If I'm late for French again I'm automatically getting detention and I'm not dealing with that, Liv!" she shot back a few minutes later, when the silence in the car made her feel like Olivia had won. Olivia didn't respond but Kat caught sight of a small smirk tugging at the corner of her lips. It wasn't uncommon for the girls to bicker back and forth like this. It seemed to come with their sister like relationship and even if they were snapping back and forth at each other constantly when they were alone, no one ever thought of the two as ones who would actually fight. Any issues between them were petty ones, ones that they got over within seconds.

Half an hour later, and the girls were headed into the school. Olivia had gotten her bagel and Katherine had opted just for a lemon, cayenne, agave cold pressed juice. She wasn't a big breakfast eater but after her past with eating difficulties, she knew now that she couldn't get away with skipping a meal without someone jumping on her back. Besides, the juice was healthy and usually was a good kick start to her morning. "See, I told you we should have gotten here earlier," Kat complained as they passed through the courtyard that was growing more empty now. More and more people were filing into the school which meant that she couldn't show off her perfectly-autumn twin outfit. She read Normani's text message but the Queen Bee was already within her range of sight at that point, so there was no point in responding. "Oooh, you two look super patriotic," she gushed after pulling Olivia towards Mani and Honey. She took a second to admire the girls' outfits, appreciating Honey's confidence in wearing something that was close to being skimpy, and just how damn good Mani seemed to look in everything. Their look was definitely different than the one that Kat and Liv were going for, but it just reflected how different their styles could be in general. "Like, hopefully no one in our school is a terrorist, because you guys will probably be the first targets, but super cute regardless," she reassured them seriously, as she sipped her juice.

Sometimes compared to Katherine, who almost always seemed to be energetic and gushing over something, Olivia seemed like she was bitter or negative. She wasn't though, not usually. Her resting face was just one that tended to be one that appeared unamused and uninterested. It wasn't always correct, but naturally, she just wasn't the type of person who was always giggling and sporting a goofy grin. In a way, it fit her image as a Royal though because as an A-lister, she didn't need to pretend to like you or find you to be entertaining, because unless you were a fellow Royal, you were unimportant. You weren't worth a fake smile or a forced laugh. Interestingly, Olivia appreciated her ability to remain straight faced more than she resented it, because it aided in her desire for control. Being expressive meant that she could be easily read, which meant that she was vulnerable to other people's manipulation, and she wouldn't have that. So, despite barely cracking a smile as she and Kat made their way into school, she was in a good mood. She had managed to eat half of her bagel while driving, and the other half was tucked away in her Dolce & Gabbana backpack for later. The food had hit the spot and after jamming to a few good songs with Katherine, she was ready to tackle another day of school. The fact that it was spirit week only lifted her mood. She wasn't one of the kids that went all out for it, but she had to admit that it was a fun week. It lightened the mood in the school, despite some teachers who were less than entertained by the lifted moods of their students.

Even as Katherine refused to stop at their lockers and instead, pulled Liv straight towards Normani and Honey, Olivia's mood didn't falter. At this point, she was just used to this routine, and even seeing Honey, someone who she didn't particularly like, didn't faze her. She saw Honey at least five times a week, and sometimes more, and Olivia wasn't the type of girl who engaged in public drama. She was civil with the other blonde because it was necessary considering that they were in the same clique and had strong ties to their mutual friends, and because she just didn't care enough to make a big deal out of it. It was how she was with most things, though. She'd stow those feelings and reasons for disliking the girl inside to prevent drama from occurring, and to prevent herself from actually having to open up. It had worked this far, and Olivia was basically comfortable with it by now.

Honey and Mani were wearing matching Tommy Hilfiger outfits, and Olivia smiled in approval as she looked Mani over. Her outfit wasn't that much more conservative than Honey's, but for some reason, Liv approved of it more. With Honey, she usually made an exception to her "no need to be nice to appease anyone" attitude, and that was only because her desire to keep drama at bay was more strong. It was the only reason why her smile didn't grow fainter as her eyes fell upon the blonde who, she felt, was wearing an outfit more fit for a day at the beach than for a day at school. Olivia didn't consider herself to be conservative. She had done tons of bikini and lingerie-level photo shoots before, and when she was going out to an event, she was fully capable of dressing in a manner to highlight her features. Sometimes, the outfits that Honey wore, though, had Olivia reminding herself that the girl lived alone, because she couldn't imagine any mother allowing their child to go to school dressed like that. For a moment, it had her appreciating Katherine's outfit choice more, just because she felt like it distinguished their level of class. Then, Kat opened her mouth, and had Olivia ready to facepalm.

She, and the other girls too, were probably too used to the brunette's mouth and tendency to be offensive without even realizing it. This wasn't nearly as bad as she could get, but she still wondered sometimes, how no one had ever slapped the girl for some of the comments she had made. Olivia knew her well enough to know that Kat just didn't think, and that her comments shouldn't be taken personally, but there were times when sometimes she was even irked by some of the comments. Though Olivia wasn't close with her biological father, she still felt connected to him, if in nothing else, than through her roots. He was a Palestinian and of Muslim faith, though he really wasn't a religious man at all. Regardless of whether he was committed to the faith or not, it bothered Liv sometimes when Kat would make a comment about a woman passing them in a hijab. It was probably the same for Liv and Honey, with racial comments that she would occasionally make about African Americans or Hispanic people. They all knew that she really just didn't "get it" and didn't understand how offensive her ignorant little comments could be, but at the same time, it didn't help their friend's image of being a dumb, selfish heiress to people who didn't know her personally. "You guys look cute," she said, as if to correct Katherine without actually addressing the comment. "I guess we were all on the denim wavelength today," she added with a smile now, poking fun at their own outfits. "And it looks like most of the seniors are actually dressed up, so maybe Chad'll work his presidential magic and we'll actually win this year," she added, her head tilting directly as she looked towards Catalina with a smile. She wanted to pat herself on the back for being extra inclusive today, but it wasn't anything extremely different. She was just being civil, as she always was when she was put into one of the many situations where she was happily with Mani and Kat, and Honey also happened to be there.

Fergus decided that he rather liked Spirit Week. People were so excited and busy and while the latter could be a negative, he could practically feel the energy as he walked into the school. It was as different from the atmosphere at home as possible. Sure, there were a few people who cared more about appearances during this time of year, but most people were genuinely excited for the week in itself.

Fergus walked into the school calmly with a serene grin on his face. A few people took a double take at him. He was actually dressed normally for the most part, which was unusual for a neo-hippie who often dressed in monk robes or kilts. In order to get into the spirit of the aptly named "Spirit Week", he had decided to participate fully in the events planned for the week. That meant dressing as someone's twin and given his friendship with Trayson, the obvious choice was to match his outfit with his. It felt strange to dress like an A-lister, but it was only for one day so he didn't mind.

He grinned when he spotted his friend and twin for the day. He grinned happily at the two people he was talking to. God, he loved the Minions. Still, when he caught a snippet of his friend's conversation with Raquel, he took a step back, trying to make himself inconspicuous in the crowd. He recognized something romantic when he saw it. He leaned against a wall and started humming.

"Om bhur bhuvah svah
tat-savitur varenyam
bhargo devasya dhimahi
dhiyo yo nah pracodayat"

Truthfully, Ian wasn't dressed all that differently from how he normally dressed. Jeans, glasses, and plaid shirts were the stereotypical components of a nerd's or geek's outfit. Thus, he, Daniel, and Emma settled on them and Ian was grateful for that. He didn't feel like buying new clothes that he would only wear for a bout a day. He wasn't rich, after all.

He pulled his car in front of the school. It was early, but that was the way he liked it. He was naturally an early riser and, truthfully, he slept only about seven hours a day. More than that just made him feel sluggish. It was a quirk, but it was one that he was happy to have.

"Still, I'd like a cappuccino and a cinnamon roll," he murmured to himself as he made his way across the parking lot from his car. He almost didn't notice another person walking towards the entrance until he was right beside her. He grinned at her.

"Good morning, Haejin. You look..."

He raised an eyebrow at her gait. It didn't look too enthusiastic.

"You look like you could use a cappuccino. I'll buy you," he offered.

In the midst of walking with Honey, the two Royals managed to make it to their lockers and Normani appreciatively opened hers, checking her lip gloss in the installed, elegantly-framed mirror which was surrounded by tiny pictures of her and her best friends from the time they had taken pics in a photo booth. A tight fit and Liv and Honey couldn't have been any farther apart, but for the most part, she loved them. Which was why she kept them in her locker at all points. Say what you will about Normani, that she was two-faced and went from an actual sweetie pie to a cold-hearted bitch, but she did have love for her girls. She just definitely wasn't the most affectionate of the group.

Just as she was getting her sewing materials out of her locker, she spotted Katherine practically dragging Olivia over in their direction and despite being in the middle of complaining about Christian to Honey, a smile was firmly set in place upon seeing her girls' faces. Both of her eyebrows rose in surprise at Kat's commentary about their clothing and the corners of Normani's mouth twitched before a small laugh burst forth. "Good morning to you too, Kitten," she could only reply with an amused chuckle and Liv seemed to try to make up for it by concluding that they looked cute. Which was surprising enough to make Normani stare at her for a minute, a small smile specifically reserved for the gorgeous blonde. Normani feigned ignorance to certain things if they required her to acknowledge emotionally heavy situations, but she could not exactly ignore the...tension that had arrived the second it became apparent that Honey was there to stay. Liv did not normally take the time to compliment Honey, not unless Normani gave a sharp stare and even then it would be pushing it. It was a puzzling act, in and of itself, but it was enough for her to appreciate whatever the sentiment was that had Liv feeling so gracious. Or just less...whatever the hell she normally did when it came to Normani's right hand.

Nudging Honey at the mention of Chad, Normani returned to splitting her attention between them and making sure she had everything she needed for the next three class periods. She hated the typical hustle-and-bustle in the hallway and while she could normally still count on her classmates remembering to move out of her way once she entered the halls, it was still a bit of a hassle making a stop to her locker every period. "Well, if we keep up like we did yesterday, we won't even need Mr. Class President. And as late as we're all gonna be in five seconds if we don't hurry to class, please tell me I'm not the only one who doesn't have their Homecoming outfit set out."

"Excuse me, Normani Devereux, you're supposed to return the compliment. Don't you love me and Liv's outfits?" she said, mockingly scolding her friend though the offended tone that came with it was nothing short of genuine. Kat liked attention to an extent. Her body image issues had thrown her off track for a few years, but with her friends, it was different. That was especially true now that she was healthier than she had been in what felt like forever, and, more importantly, needed to prove to Olivia that her outfit choice had set the bar high for twin day. "Reminds you of New York, right? Cool, crisp fall weather? Fashion week? Literal perfection? Only those of us with true eyes for fashion really get it though, obviously," she added, tossing a piece of stray hair over her shoulder as she looked from Mani to Liv, as if the direction of her comment's intent wasn't obvious enough.

Normani's reminder that class was beginning soon was enough for Katherine to not press the subject any further. She really was on the brink of a mandatory detention if she was late to her French class again, and considering that it was the only class that she really did well in, she couldn't afford a bad grade in it. She could claim that subjects like math and science just didn't make sense to her, but considering that she was fluent in French, she would have no excuse if she came home with a report card that showed she had failed that course. Not only did she not want detention, but Kat actually didn't dread her French class as much as she did with every other academic-based course she was enrolled in. Her professor wasn't her favorite, but the fact that she actually understood what was going on was something that she didn't take for granted. For one period a day, she didn't feel like a complete moron, and didn't have to hesitate before answering questions in fear of making a fool out of herself. It was a good class to start her day off with, considering that most days, she dreaded coming to school entirely.

Spirit week and the fun she associated with that had definitely helped her get out of bed yesterday and today, and the mention of their outfits for the homecoming dance pushed the idea of rushing to her French class from her mind. "Me either," she confirmed when Mani confessed that she was still without an outfit for the dance. "Without an outfit and without a date, but whatever!" she said, making light of it with a smile. "Honey, you get to live out the perfect relationship life for all of us," she continued playfully. Really, all four of the girls could have any guy in the school that they wanted. Olivia had Jameson and Lennox ready to eat her heart out, Normani had Christian and every other guy ready to do her bidding, and Kat had... guys. She definitely had guys who were interested in her, but she just wasn't interested in real relationships right now. She never had been, and a lot of the reason why had been that in the past, she was too consumed with her eating disorder. She didn't even want her friends to be close to her at that point, so a boyfriend was the last thing that she desired. Now that she was able to focus on more than just her weight, the hookup culture was becoming a bit boring. She supposed that senior year could be a fresh start for her romantic life, but she knew that not much could be done for it by the homecoming dance on Saturday. It didn't really bother her, though, so she didn't mind making light of the subject.

Honey grinned at Normani when she made a comment about throwing up. She was in a good mood, she had her boyfriend and her best friend at her side. She noticed that Lauren avoiding contact with her and cocked an eyebrow towards the girl but said nothing. Her mood soured immediately however at the sound of Christian Hernandez’s annoying drawl.

She was used to Chris’s rudeness and usually responded with some frostiness of her own but she wasn’t expecting Chad to respond in the same way. When his arm tightened around her discreetly she placed a calming kiss on the center of his chest and looked up at him questioningly but didn’t expect an answer in return. While Mani and Christian continued they’re daily banter she nuzzled Chad, absorbing his scent and trying to soothe him. She had to admit she felt kind of bad because she had a suspicion that Chad’s frosty reception had to do with her admission earlier that morning. Unfortunately, she didn’t have much time to ponder that because Christian borderline demanded Chad leave her and Normani alone for “girl time” and with a kiss to her temple he was gone. She held back the frown that threatened to appear on her face and focused on her best friend instead.

She smiled at Mani as she mentioned going to her locker and dutifully walked along side her. As always people watched as the girls walked – no strut – through the school. Honey tossed a bit of her blonde locks over her shoulder.

When Mani mentioned Christian and Chad’s behavior towards him she turned to her friend and sighed. Better to discuss this head on rather than put it off for later, ” Chris has been kind of making comments about me and I told Chad. He played it off but his shoulders got all stiff and he gave me that look that he does when he bottles something up. “ She ran a hand through her hair absently, ” I should have kept my mouth shut “

Just as she was about to explain Kat and Olivia approached. Honey liked Kat, they weren’t close, as is Honey’s nature, but Honey thought the girl was nice. Olivia was a different situation. The way Honey saw it, she suddenly appeared and became real close to Mani and Olivia wasn’t ready for it. Her loss. She tilted the corner of her mouth in a small smiled at Kat’s comment about patriotisms but her brow scrunched in confusion over the terrorist comment. It stayed bunched up when Olivia made a comment towards her. When she mentioned Chad Honey couldn’t help the affectionate smile that graced her usually neutral face, ” You’ll have to ask him. I’m his biggest supporter but I don’t delve in his business. I’d lose my mind”

With that the bell rung and Honey shrugged, ” I got to get to Dance II, “ She said with a shrug, she turned to Mani, as they always walked to class together, ” Ready? “

Normani allowed herself to bask in the pleasantries she could exchange with her girls, even as the seconds ticked by before the next bell would ring, signaling that they all needed remove their asses right along lest they wanted to hear a professor's mouth. Luckily, at least for herself and Liv, Normani didn't technically have to deal with such strictness. At least not for the first period. Pamela - Mrs. Shange, the second an administrator or even the principal walks in - taught their seeing class. She was also the FIDM representative, which was why they were even allowed such informality.

Despite the pleasant thoughts, Honey bringing Chad back up was enough to remind her of what they had been discussing before the other two showed up, causing Normani's smile to dim somewhat. Knowing Chad, he was probably silently stewing, ready to combust if Chris pushed too hard. The two had already been fragile after Rick considering the fact that the former King Bee had been the official glue to hold them together. And judging by Chad's dwindling patience, there was no doubt that something big would happen before the semester was over. Too soon, however, and before they could officially get into the topic of Homecoming attire, the bell rang and Honey was ready to jet. Making sure her locker was closed, Normani shook her head at her bestie. " Wrong way for me, babe. Got class with Liv. Catch up with you later." Normani turned then to her other blonde companion. "Ready?"

She didn't "delve in his business"? What, was he some Wall Street banker who dealt in some private, serious world that they were all detached from? The last time Olivia checked, he was class president, and one that they elected. The entire point of student government was that the student body was involved, but just had a specific representative to present their requests and complaints in a formal manner. It was funny, really, that Honey thought of herself as something important because it was apparent (to Olivia, anyway) that she was already vying to be nothing more than a trophy wife. She watched as the blonde, who had now confirmed her spot as being brainless, trailed away, requesting Mani's company. Internally, Liv scoffed at the idea that the only place she would actually be considered a trophy wife would be somewhere with standards far lower than Beverly Hills. New Jersey, maybe. Give it ten years and she'll be featured as one of those housewives, I guarantee it... It wasn't fair, and Olivia knew that being so petty wasn't true to her character, but she couldn't help it sometimes. Plus, she was allowed to feel that way in her head. It would only hurt herself and those around her if she vocalized those feelings, she decided, and of course, she wasn't going to do that.

"Yeah, I'm ready," she said, her eyes only pulling away from the other blonde, who was down the hall by then, when Mani spoke. A small smile had set in on her face as Honey faded away, but it wasn't because she was that bothered by the girl being there. More so, it was a smile in response to her own inner monologue, because damn, if she couldn't verbalize those thoughts and let other people appreciate her sense of humor, someone had to appreciate it, and that someone had to be her. As she looked from Mani to Kat, the smile became more genuine, and she headed away with Mani as she glanced over her shoulder to conclude their time with Kat. "See you in marketing. Don't be late!" she advised, already too far to give the brunette the warning look that she intended to give. Out of the four girls that topped the royals group, Katherine was definitely the one who was... all over the place. A little too energetic, a little too emotional, a little too uncontrolled for her own good. Or so Olivia thought, at least. She couldn't imagine being the type of person who could cry on a dime, who was late to nearly everything, and spoke every thought that crossed her mind. It was a breath of fresh air to see that in her friend, since Normani didn't truly act that way, and Olivia would say she didn't know Honey well enough to speak on it, but that alone showed that Honey had walls up too. "Mind if I stop at my locker? I was running late today because of Kat. God, you don't know how lucky you are that you're out in Newport. I take back all of my insistences that you get a place closer to school, because you'll go crazy as me with her basically living with you," she said, her tone light and playful, the way she liked it to be with her friends. It was hard to do with Honey around, which unfortunately, seemed to be frequent, but when she didn't have to deal with a non-friend in the circle, things felt normal and easy. It allowed Olivia to feel less guarded and more comfortable.

Olivia prided herself in being organized, so it literally took less than a minute for her to unlock her locker and grab the items she needed for her first period class. "And I don't have my outfit for homecoming picked out yet either. The last day to vote for Prince and Princess is today, right?" she continued, distracted for a brief moment as she read a message from Lennox on her phone. Her expression didn't change, as with things like this, she didn't want to look like she was caught off guard or reading something that was out of the norm.

Honey left in one direction, Olivia and Normani in the other, and Katherine in another. Spirit week made school fun... when she was with her girls. When she wasn't, she was just a single person walking around in a denim outfit that made her wish she was in New York, and not in this school building whose initials could just as easily stand for Hell High School as they did for Hollywood High School.

While the promise of a detention originally had Katherine on the path to her French class, as she got closer, she started getting antsy. The idea of sitting through a class that would feel five hours long made her stomach churn. Sure, for one period out of the day, she would actually know what was going on, but it wasn't like it was going to be enjoyable. Besides, she was a fluent French speaker. For most of her life, her father only spoke French at home, so she felt like she was basically as proficient in it as their teacher. Why should she have to waste her valuable time and energy in a class, when she knew what was being taught? It seemed useless, but Katherine wasn't the girl who had the gall to cut class on a whim... alone, at least. So, she slowed her pace, not wanting to reach the classroom just yet, as she sent a message to Val. His response would help her decide. He'd either be in a surprisingly studious mood, say he was going to class and save her from getting a detention, or he'd be the Val she knew and loved, and would agree to cut with her, save her from a period of agony, and leave her regretting the decision later on. While texting Val, she realized that Knox had texted her too. Unsurprisingly, it was about Olivia, so Katherine didn't put too much thought into her response.

To: Val
you better lmk if you plan on cutting french bc i don't want to go either and i'm NOT going if you're not going

To: Knox
are you going to buy me something nice if i help you?!?!?! #célinebag

As she walked, now heading down another hallway to give her an extra minute as she waited for Val's response, she approached the cafeteria. She recognized a lot of the people coming in and out. A few jocks said hello to her, and she smiled towards a couple of cheerleaders that she liked. However, surprisingly, the person that caught her eye most was Emma Sinclair. Normally, Kat didn't give nerds or geeks the time of day. Understandably, she had little in common with most of them, but Emma was her current math tutor, and since Katherine had a math exam today, she magically knew who Emma was again. In typical Kat fashion, she approached Emma and two of her friends, one, who she recognized as Ian, the boy who had been her history tutor the year before, and Haejin, who Kat would ignorantly tell you was "just some Chinese girl". She didn't bother with greetings or smiles, only by clutching Emma's arm to catch her attention before saying, "Emma, my algebra test is seventh period! You promise I won't fail, right?" It was said in a way where she needed that guarantee. As if it wasn't typical for Emma to spend hours helping Katherine, and them leaving off on a note where it was quite possible for her to do well, but then when it came time for the test, her mind going blank and her failing, and being distraught on why Emma hadn't went over the exact questions that were on the exam.

Physics was a tricky subject for a lot of people, but Olivia enjoyed it. She was the kind of person who flourished in mathematics and science subjects, because her mind worked more logically than it did creatively. It wasn't like she did poorly in her English and art classes, but she just didn't possess that creativity that she needed to really enjoy them. It was harder for her to conjure up creative writing topics than it was for her to understand thermodynamics. Needless to say, she didn't mind her fifth period class as much as many of her classmates did. Besides being comfortable with the topics, she shared the class with a few friends, including Mani. For the majority of the class, Olivia remained silent and focused on the lecture material that the teacher was giving, for the first few minutes of each class, she allowed herself time to get into that focused mood. Rather than stop at her locker or take the four minutes in between this class and her last to chat with friends, Olivia headed straight here. It was what she always did. She hated the idea of even possibly being late, and luckily for her, her fourth period class was only down the hall from this one. It took her less than a minute to get to the physics room and take her normal seat, the one in the second row, closet to the door. It gave her perfect visibility of the board and screen, and of the clock. Plus, when the final bell rang, she never got trapped behind anyone else and could get to her sixth period class just as quickly as this one.

Though for the majority of the almost hour long class she remained silent and focused on the lecture material, or lab instructions that the teacher gave them, for the first few minutes before the class started, she took the time to get herself ready. Her pencils were situated on her desk, she finished her water bottle, and retrieved her finished homework assignment from her bag. Her last class had been with Normani and Katherine, so she wasn't surprised that Mani lagged behind a few minutes. Kat could keep anyone's ear for hours, and on top of that, Liv knew that it was frequent for Mani's followers to seek her out in between periods. Whether it was for advice, to offer her an iced coffee or treat from the cafeteria, or just share new gossip, they always seemed to be around. Olivia was used to it and didn't mind the time to get herself together, but when Normani did arrive, she offered her friend a soft smile and waved her towards her usual seat beside her. "You made it," she teased, noticing their teacher walking in just then. "We've got a lab today, right? I think he's going to say we need a group of four," she said, her voice growing lower as she walked their teacher gather himself and appear to get ready to start the class. "Let's pick two good people to work with today. People who won't be more interested in winning your heart than recording our data," she said, now in nothing more than a hiss as her eyes focused in on their teacher. She was sure that she didn't even need to say Christian's name specifically for Mani to know who she was talking about.

★Hailey Baldwin★

At the end of her fourth period class, Hailey had been called down to the guidance office. She spent the last ten minutes of the fourth period seated in her guidance counselor's office, which was a position that she was in almost once a week. It wasn't necessarily a bad thing, because it wasn't like she was sitting with the principal or vice principal, but Hailey found her counselor to be a drag regardless. Even now, when she had only been called down to the office as a "check-in", to make sure that she was adjusting to the school and enjoying spirit, she wished that she wasn't there. Shockingly, she wished that she was with the rest of her classmates finishing up their so-boring-it-might-kill-me history lesson.

"Wow, how time flies!" Mrs. Brennan exclaimed a moment after the bed signaling the end of fourth period rang. She folded her hands together as she leaned forward on her desk, staring into Hailey's eyes with such intensity that Hailey felt like she was about to be hypnotized. It had her searching for anything else in the room to look at. She scanned over the photos of the woman's children that were posted on the wall, the back of her computer screen, the bland off white walls... the bell had rang, and it seemed like this impromptu and unwanted meeting was coming to a close, but every second felt like a year to her. "Well, I don't want to make you late for... physics!" the woman continued as she glanced at her computer screen to confirm Hailey's next class. "Yikes, it doesn't look like you've really gotten the hang of that class yet," she continued, apparently gazing at her current grades too. By this point, Hailey was standing, and the scrunched up expression on her face probably expressed her desire to get the hell out of there. "Don't get hung up on it, though. I've told you a million times, I know, but our tutoring services here are phenomenal. The teachers have days with extended hours where they can help you, and our Homework Heroes club is very popular amongst the study body. Mr. Keislar heads it, but you know, a lot of the students end up making great friendships with their tutors and will pair up out of school as well. It's definitely something to consider, Hailey. We want you to do well here, and I'm sure that extra one on one support will help, especially since I'm sure it's what you're most used to with your history of homeschooling."

Hailey always thought that once she got too old for modelling, or if one day she decided it just wasn't for her anymore, that she would make an awesome talk show host but now she was considering that she should reccomend that career path to this woman because god, could she talk. She didn't want Hailey to be late, and yet she was sure that she was already down one minute to get to her class. "Uh huh, Mrs. Brennan. I'll definitely look into it. Science has just never been my thing, but yeah, I'll totally consider it. Thanks for all of the help!" Yesing the woman to death seemed like the only option she had if she wanted to leave that office before midnight. While she had no real intentions on joining the club, it wasn't just to be defiant. She really didn't do that poorly in school. Physics was a bad example of her academic ability, but it was that way for a lot of people, so Hailey didn't get bothered by it. She had more important things to deal with, like catching up with fellow Animal Anastasia in the hallway to pose for pictures in their Twin Day outfits. She managed to do that and make it to her physics room just as the bell was ringing to signal that class was beginning.

"Miss Baldwin, I'm glad you made it here on time today. I know how excited you've been to get this projectile motion lab started, and today's finally the day," Mr. Kennedy, the physics professor, announced, peering at her skeptically from behind his glasses. She hurried to her seat, which was behind Normani and Olivia, but met his bothered look with a smile. "Of course. I wouldn't miss it for anything!" she returned sarcastically, though her cheerful tone didn't hint at that. She wouldn't miss it physically, maybe, but she sure as hell wasn't mentally tuned in, and just as their professor began speaking, she turned back in her chair to Ian, who sat nearby. Hailey didn't know Ian very well, but occasionally during their gym class, she'd make conversation with him, and insist he play on their team in any sport where height was a benefit. "Look!" she hissed, barely being discrete as their professor explained the day's plan. "I'm basically twinning with you today too!" she said, pointing to the large print on her shirt which read "GEEK". She felt it was funny and playful, and didn't even consider that it might have been offensive. She didn't mean it that way, at least, because in her mind, being a geek wasn't necessarily a bad thing and even if it was, that kid had to have embraced it by now! If he didn't like being a geek, he could always switch to contacts instead of keeping those classic geek glasses, she thought. Just as quickly as she had spun around to face Ian, she was spinning back, and tapping Olivia and Normani on the backs. "We're going to need a real geek to help us with this lab. Want me to ask 'Glasses' back there, or did you hoes find someone on your own to be our number four?" Hailey didn't think twice that she would be included in Olivia and Normani's group. She knew that Normani wasn't her biggest fan, but she didn't think that the Queen disliked her. She just didn't think she knew her fully yet, and besides, lately, Olivia had seemed more open to her than she ever had. She still wondered how Kat somehow managed to mesh with these girls who took themselves too seriously.

Twin Day Outfit ♕ Location: Hollywood High School ♕ Theme Song ♕ Mood: Pensive

Normani did not rush herself once her fourth period was over to catch up with Olivia. Not that she did not want to walk with her other friend, but between Lauren telling her about Christian's bitch fit in the middle of the hall earlier and Kat complaining about having to deal with the rest of the day, she found no need to be in a hurry. Especially considering the fact that she always lagged when it came to Physics. One thing that Normani never bragged nor spoke extensively about was that she was definitely considered a member of the top 10% of their graduating class, a feat not all of the A-Listers could say they accomplished. So she didn't lag to her classes out of a desire to not have to deal with a subject she knew nothing about. In fact, ask her professor - and probably Daniel, if his opinion didn't cause her cheeks to grow heated - she should be in the advanced level course. Hell, she should have been in AP Calculus as well. But again, that was only if she was willing to talk about it.

Which she wasn't, by the way.

No matter how many times Danny text her to remind her such every single day, which had her laughing.

Lauren walked her to class and after a quick smooch on the cheek followed by the brunette offering her a banana, Normani traipsed into the classroom with a relaxed smile. Eyes followed her as she made her way over to her seat beside Olivia and when she was beside the blonde, her smile turned warm. "I'm here, aren't I?" She shot back playfully and pulled out her necessary materials. Once Liv brought up group partners and then, implicitly, Christian. Normani did not even want to take the time out to think about her ex, especially if he was bound to enter the classroom soon. Chris had not been late to this class yet, so she knew he had no marks against him. She also remembered that he was the last person anyone who wanted a respectable grade should have if they wanted to pass. "Do not even remind me. Luckily, we already have each other cuz I would go straight crazy without you." Aggravatingly, just as she finished speaking, an incessant finger poked her back and not many just allowed themselves to touch Normani Devereux. Whirling around slowly and with little enthusiasm, Normani's glare only lessened just enough to not be abrasive when she came face to face with Kat and Liv'a friend.

It wasn't that Normani did not like Hailey. The blonde was fun enough when Normani was in the mood and she entertained Kat when neither she and Liv could not. However, despite her last name and both of their backgrounds as socialites, Normani just wasn't impressed by Hailey. Not enough to bump her up to A-Lister status and definitely not as a Royal. She had not proved herself worthy, and if Normani had not elevated either Dinah or Lauren - her two most loyal followers out of her typical band of four - she wasn't going to bump up some random ass skinny blonde chick with really no other talent other than hyping up a crowd.

"Of course," she replied, not an ounce of her actual disfavor appearing in her voice as she finally offered the blonde the semblance of a warm smile. Taking what Hailey said about a fourth member into account, Normani's smile turned sweet as her eyes landed on Ian Butler. "Hey, Ian. Come over and work with us, love."

Sure, Olivia had meant Christian when she had made her comment about finding good people to work with, but that major descriptive quality of good also should have crossed Hailey off of their potential partner list. Olivia had never had any real problems with Hailey, and maybe she kept it to herself too much to be known, but she definitely didn't like her. Maybe it was because she was protective over Kat, and whenever the brunette would hang out with Hailey, she would call her the next day with some bizarre story where Katherine was a sip of vodka away from ending up in a coma. It was more than just that, though. Hailey was overbearing and obnoxious and crude. She didn't know when to stop, she had no boundaries, and she was just too much of... everything for Olivia to like her. It was her actions, but more than that, it was her personality that had Olivia knowing that there was no way they would ever be friends. Before this year, that was all fine. Hailey was homeschooled so Olivia saw her once every two months, maybe, for a few hours during a modelling event they were both at, or if Kat was hosting a party that Hailey happened to be invited to. During that time, Olivia could be cordial, but for the most part, she did her best to associate with people she liked, rather than the blonde. Now they were going to the same school, and while luckily, they were in different cliques, that didn't do much to keep Hailey out of the way.

She felt a poke at her back just like Mani did, but Olivia didn't spin around immediately either. Her pause wasn't out of shock or annoyance that someone had touched her, but mainly because the professor was still reading off instructions, and she wasn't looking to get any participation points knocked off of her grade. Olivia did well in school, and she possessed a level of natural intelligence, but she also worked really hard to keep her good grades. She was an active learner, and that was the main reason for why she did so well. When the teacher finished and began to pass out their assignment sheets for the period, she did turn in her seat, and in time to hear Normani and Hailey's conversation. Olivia knew that it would have been awkward to reject Hailey when she just seemed to think that she was a welcomed member of their group, but out of all people, Mani could have done it, and Liv wished she had. Olivia did want to start including Hailey more, just to prove a point that if Mani could do it with Honey, who was also unwanted, than they could do it with Hailey, but Olivia wanted to do that in a social setting. Not where her grade and sanity were on the line. A barely there, feigned smile graced her face as she made eye contact with Hailey, but she quickly pulled it away to look at Ian, who Normani had invited over. That was a good choice. She didn't know Ian very well and they weren't friends, but she knew he was intelligent, and she could respect that. In fact, her respect for him probably outweighed the respect she had for the fellow model that sat behind her, but no one really needed to know that. She couldn't resist, however, giving Normani an "are you serious?" look when their gazes crossed. Not about the latter partner choice, but the former. Christian didn't look like such a bad idea compared to Hailey. At least she found him to be entertaining.

"This doesn't look too extensive," she noted, briefly scanning the worksheets that were passed back to her as she passed the rest towards the girls. "As long as we do the experiment correctly, the calculations shouldn't be that difficult." That would be especially true it Ian did agree to work with them.

Surprisingly, Mr. Alessi had gotten a kick out of Jameson's Twin Day outfit, which was aimed to match the vice principal's style. James knew that it was quite possible that it wasn't so much of genuine amusement as it was him just wanting to look like a student-oriented administrator, but the level of genuineness of it wasn't a concern to him. All he cared about, was that when Mr. Alessi insisted they get photographed for the yearbook, it meant that he was pulled from his fourth period class a few minutes early, and got a late pass for physics. Even after stopping in the cafeteria for a bag of chips, he only ended up getting to Mr. Kennedy's physics class a minute late, but being late and having a late pass meant that he was able to miss one minute and not get in trouble, and he couldn't complain about that. Plus, now he had some food to quench his hunger, but just as he opened the bag of Lays and sat down, Mr. Kennedy looked at him with a death glare. "You know the rules, Mr. Page. No eating in the science labs." It was one of the only rules that James knew in this class, because it seemed like every day, he consistently came in with a snack to eat, and was shut down by the teacher. He didn't think he could be blamed for wanting to eat. It was halfway through the day, his waffles had been burned off periods before, and he had a long way until lunch. Truly, it wouldn't have been that much of a burden for him to snack in his fourth or sixth period classes, but he couldn't help his cravings and both he and Mr. Kennedy knew that this conversation was going to be a daily ritual. James just hoped that it would be annoying enough for the professor, so that he would pass him just so that he wouldn't have to deal with him in extra help sessions if he was at risk of failing.

"My bad, Mr. K," James offered, with a mouthful of chips as he stuffed the rest into his backpack. He'd finish them off in a few minutes when everyone separated into their groups to work on the lab, and the teacher was too occupied with other students to notice him eating. First, he had to figure out which group he wanted to be a part of, though. He normally worked with Christian, since he was one of the only royal males in the class, and when groups larger than two were required, they'd either try to get in with Naomi and Olivia, or they'd grab a couple of jocks and work with them. It was just his luck, though, that Christian wasn't in sight. James knew he had seen him earlier in the day, so he hoped the King Bee competitor was just out using the restroom or at the water fountain and would be back any minute. In case he wasn't, though, James knew what he had to do, and he nearly jumped out of his seat when he caught sight of Normani waving Ian Butler over to her, Olivia and Hailey. Ian, Normani and Olivia all had enough brains to do the assignments on their own and probably get A's. There was no way that they needed to be a triple threat, while he sat in the corner with some brainless football players and failed. Hell no! Especially not when he was actually friends with the three girls.

"Mr. K said that I could work with you lovely ladies," he said with a smirk, clearly lying about their teacher's words, but just being playful. "You know, he wants us to practice our group dynamics for Saturday. We're still on to go together, right, Liv? And then who's the lucky fellow who gets to go with you, Mani? Don't tell me that Ian's your new catch!" he inquired, an amused smirk on his face. By this point, he felt like being playful about Olivia was the only way that he could continue to ask her to things and not get humiliated. It wasn't like she ever rejected him, but it also wasn't like she had ever said yes and taken him seriously. He supposed that doing it this way, just claiming that they were going together and then getting her to roll her eyes was clearly not working, but James just wasn't the type of guy who was good at being serious. It made him feel uncomfortable and vulnerable, so if he could do it with a laugh and get a laugh out of other people, the rejection stung less, because it felt less genuine.

If there was one area of life where Ian shined, it was schoolwork. Academics just never gave him much trouble, though English could be challenging as it was about as far removed from his way of thinking as any subject could possibly be. Don't get him wrong, he loved to read and he had a rather large collection of Star Wars books, but his gifts did not lie in writing or dissecting the themes of 18th century bestsellers. Physics, however, was just too easy. You just needed to understand a few basic concepts and have a good head for math and the subject opened up before you.

"Hey, Ian. Come over and work with us, love."

Ian couldn't help but blush. He had been working on it, but he just couldn't help it. Normani was the most popular and beautiful girl in the school and she wasn't bitchy like some people he could name off the A-List. Almost without thought, he walked over to her, Olivia, and Hailey, only to be interrupted by someone who was most definitely a bitch.

Inwardly, he took a deep breath before replying with the most charming smile he could muster.

"I am sorry, James. I know I am quite attractive, but I am not homosexual. I could only ever be your friend."

He winked at Olivia.

"It's nice of you to be his cover. It's asking a lot to sacrifice your Senior Homecoming."
