The Shop Keeper's Story

In the strange shop, a man in his 20s perhaps...he still looks so young...was happily arranging his many dolls. Brushing their hair to perfection and fixing their clothes in order to be presentable for the customers. He giggled which also sounded like a chuckle, "I have a good feeling that some of you, my loves, will be bought."
He skipped towards the door and changed the "CLOSED" sign to "OPEN" indicating the the doll shop is now open for business, "Let's play a game, shall we?"

The Shop Keeper looked up and saw a young lady in front of his shop. A smile entered his face, "Welcome, my lady!" he caught the attention of the young girl from outside , "Welcome to my beloved shop!" He said as he stood up and and opened the door for her, "My dolls were waiting for their beloved master to fetch them."

"Um..." Megan poked her head inside the shop door. She smiled polietly to the others inside, secretly judging them. The man looked quite young, but what kind of young man would own a Doll Shop? Especially with Alice in Wonderland figures... The other woman was just a customer. Probably of no particular intrest to her. But something caught Megan's eye. A doll, red and holding roses. The Queen of Hearts, she presumed. They were all so beautifully made...
The Shop Keeper looked at the other customer he had that day and smiled, "I have a feeling it's almost time." He thought as he approached the other young lady who was staring at his Queen of Hearts, "Welcome to my doll shop, my lady." He said as he extended his arm towards the shop, particularly on the Queen of Hearts, "I can see you admire my Queen of Hearts," He gently held the doll and carried it close to young girl, "She do has exquisite beauty just like any queen should have, though behind this majestic beauty lies something very dark..."
"Ah! Don't mind me!" He said as he waved one of his hands that wasn't carrying the doll, "So would you like to purchase my doll, my dear?"

Smiling at the man, her smile shifted from him to the doll. Something very dark? She was evil, wasn't she? Tried to behead everyone for the smallest of wrong-doings.There was something strange about the doll. It was so delicate, but dolls aren't made like this now-a-days are they? They're made for people to throw and hit off walls, not as actual things of beauty. Stopping her mind from wandering any further, she nodded to the man, polietly. "I'm sorry. I have no way of paying you at the moment. I'll just leave."
The Shop Keeper waved his hand again, dismissing the thought of paying him, "You don't need to pay for this doll, my dear." He said as he placed the doll in her hands, "I don't need the queen's money." He declared as he goes behind the counter and brought out a piece of paper, "What you have to do is to sign this piece of parchment." He turned to the other young lady, "Same goes to you, my dear." he then turned back to the young girl holding the Queen of Hearts, "So what do you say, my lady?"

Fully aware of scam artists, Megan looked at the other girl in the shop out of the corner of her eye. If he had customers, it had to be safe enough, right...? Plus, if the doll was free she was going to take it anyway. Looking at the parchment and then at the man, she nodded. Picking up a pen from her pocket, she scrawled her name onto the parchment.

Aveline had been walking alone, having lost her parents and brother back at the local market. She was sure they would find her soon enough and so she was determined to have some fun while she was free. Looking up, she found that she had come to a small shop that hadn't been there before. "Ooh, a new store!" Though she only had ten dollars with her, she was convinced she could buy at least a button. But oh, she would get so much more.
The small, teal haired girl entered the store and looked around. This was a doll shop! How lovely! Aveline smiled and ignored the others in the store. She looked at the dolls, particularly intrigued by one that reminded her of the Cheshire Cat. In her mind she was the Cheshire Cat, always questioning others and their sanity (while she loses her own). She looked up at the shopkeeper, an odd looking man to most but just a character to her. "How much are these dolls?" she asked as if there weren't two other people standing near her.

Like he did with the Queen of Hearts, he gently got the two dolls, "They are very suitable for each other, aren't they?" He sighed sadly, "Unfortunately, one of them left the other..."
He smiled cheerfully, "But don't mind me!" He place the two dolls into the girl's hands, "Come! Come! Sign these papers and you may have these dolls that will be once mine." He then grabbed two bottles that had a paper attached to them which said, "DRINK ME" and placed it on the counter, "Please enjoy these complimentary drinks." Then went to the inside of the shop.
He smiled cheerfully, "But don't mind me!" He place the two dolls into the girl's hands, "Come! Come! Sign these papers and you may have these dolls that will be once mine." The Shop Keeper smiled at the new comer and chuckled at her question, "My dear, I don't want any the queen's money," he said as he handed her the Cheshire Cat doll and went behind the counter again, "What I want you to do is to sign this and that beautiful doll is yours." he then placed a piece of candy beside the contract which said "EAT ME".
He looked at the other young lady with bored eyes, "I told you, my lady. Just sign this paper and you can have that doll." he waved his hands in the air, "I do not desire the queen's money." and went inside his shop that was for authorized personnel only. He smirked at the young lady who was leaving the shop, "Have a safe trip, my dear." a chuckle came after.
She is the first to fall down the rabbit hole.

The doll looked at his master with emotionless eyes, "Two young girls that will become three have drank or ate the candy and juice that you made, Blood." the Shop Keeper declared as he placed the doll down, "Be the mouse piper, Blood. Make them fall into the rabbit hole." he commanded the doll.

Aveline did not find anything unusual about the proposal. Signing a simple paper sounded much better than spending money anyway. Setting the Cheshire Cat down, she quickly signed the contract without so much as a glance at what it said. Happy, she was about to leave when she noticed the piece of candy. It was wonderful how dedicated this man was to the concept of Wonderland, its characters, and its important features. She herself had only read the book once, but found that she loved the idea. It sounded like her kind of world.
"Why thank you!" she chirped, unwrapping the candy and setting the wrapper down on the counter. Aveline happily popped it into her mouth, trying to determine what flavor it was.

The Shop Keeper came out from the room and saw that the young ladies were gone and that there is a young man inside his shop, a smile came to his lips, "Welcome, dear sir!" He said as he made a salute towards him, "How may I help the young master today?"
"Why, thank you, good sir." the Shop Keeper exclaimed as he skipped towards the young man and Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, "I've made them myself." he said proudly.
He took the twins and gave them to the boy gently, "Twins that never disagree with each other and yet they want to have an enlargement." he sighed, "Ah, the irony."
"But don't mind me!" he said as he waved his hand on the air and skipped back to the counter, "Now you want those dolls right? Be ready while I take care of this one." he said as he smiled at his next customer and made a hand motion which meant to come in.
Rahls suddenly thought he had heard something like a yell. Looking behind him, he only saw a girl entering the shop. The man from earlier was gone, which he was glad of. He assumed it had been nothing, and turned to look at the shopkeeper, who was gazing at him in a way that he found rather odd.
Suddenly it struck him that he was a boy who could be mistaken for a girl who just walked into a doll shop. No matter how much he didn't like it, it was pretty obvious what a person would think about that.
"Ah, I don't like dolls. It's for my sister," he explained to the man. "I'm serious. Stop looking at me like that!"

The Shop Keeper looked at the boy with an annoying smile, "Oh yes, I believe you, my dear boy. But there is one little problem," he said as he started pushing the boy towards the door, "I don't give away my dolls as gifts. So unless you want your own doll or you let your sister come here and get her own doll, then I will not let you have any of my precious dolls." he then placed a finger on his chin, "Think of it this way, how would you feel if someone buys you as a present?" the boy looked at him with an annoyed look, "I am sorry but I see my dolls as humans, they are in this orphanage...waiting for someone to adopt them. Not give them as a gift."
He then went towards his other customer and smiled gently, "How may I help you, young lady?"

Rahls grimaced, annoyed. The shopkeeper was definitely an odd man, but once Rahls set his mind to something, nobody could make him think otherwise. So he swallowed his pride and walked past the man as he was dealing with the girl behind him.

The Shop Keeper smirked, "Much better." he then turned to the boy and pointed towards his dolls, "Now which of my precious dolls do you wish to adopt?" he asked while going towards the counter to get the contracts and candies ready, "The game will start very soon." he thought while chuckling in his mind.
