One pill makes you larger, and one pill makes you small, and the ones that mother gives you, don't do anything at all.
Whisper sung to herself as it was the only thing she could think to comfort her. Felt rather lost. What did those fascists expect her to do here, all on her own at the tender age of seventeen?
She was sitting cross-legged, her back against the wall, unsure of where to go from here. She had no house, no money, no weapons, no foods... nothing but the clothes on her back. Unless she could find her father, she seemed to be royally screwed.
It was then a man approached her, casually as if he did that all the time. "You need a home? I'm Eagle, I can give you drugs, health or a home. Anything you want, and we can take down the city."
She smirked. Now how did this guy know that Whisper just loved drugs? She stood up, dusting off her clothing, trying to make herself as presentable as she could given the circumstances. Who was this guy, anyway? Why did he find her an approachable target? Oh well, she thought. She did need the help and she wasn't about to turn it down when it was offered so graciously.
"Er, my name is Whisper. I reckon I could use some help, actually. I don't have anywhere to live and a hot meal would be pretty sweet... Hey, you got drugs, right? I can help you sell 'em, man. I'd be good at it!" she said, hoping she wasn't asking too much. Well, he did offer to assist her and if she had drugs on her, she'd be able to get by pretty comfortably.
Eagle screwed his face up at her. "I don't sell, but I can give you help. Bluebird can cook, pretty well when we have our own food and not the Code's."
"Who's Bluebird?" Whisper asked, not entirely sure if she wanted to follow some random guy off into not even the Gods know where.
"Partner in Drugs and little sister." A girl chirped, moving with enthusiasm into vision. Her innocent looking appearance gave reason for her name. "Let's see," she poked at Whisper's stomach, "I'd say you need a good meal."
***Later***
Whisper relaxed, her stomach now full. She felt more satisfied. To top that off, Eagle and Bluebird had assured her she could stay in the Code Black theatre, so she no longer needed to fret about being out on the streets or having to figure out this place for her own. She's also taken a hit from the bong so that added to her current contentment. She couldn't help but notice Bluebird's discomfort at the bong.
Before she could say anything, Eagle and Bluebird were asking her how she ended up here. "Er. Uh. Lots of things, I guess. Look, man, I never hurt anybody or nothing. I just liked to paint... and sometimes I liked to paint messages against the Capitol or some shit, I don't know. They said it was treason. Oh yeah, and because, woaaaah, I've had sex with girls as well as guys. Big deal, right?"
After Whisper had finished answering the many questions which came her way, Eagle had to go treat someone, so Bluebird took her out to Drug Alley. Her new allies wished to get her acquainted with the set-up of the place and some of the Providence's more... colorful residents.
