Introduction

Introduction:

Long ago in times when the universe was empty and black. A room was made. A room known as The End. In this room were placed paintings. And each Painting led to another place. Another world, Galaxy, Story. But our tale takes place in between one painting. A painting ripped apart and then taped back. One world became two very different worlds but connected for life through gate ways hidden to all those except when the time for them to open came about. One world was known as Earth. A world lacking magic but with creativity and resourcefulness that shocked everyone. The other world was Nevermore. A place of magic and the birth place of corruption.

Image

Plot:

Nevermore created corruption? How? Well it started when magic became more of a competition then a skill or birth right. Soon people began pitting there magic against each other. But it all started when the strongest wizard mutated his magic from the essence of purity it was to a dark magic. At first he could control it. But it began to take over and feed on him needing more of power. Before long the lust for power and magic proved too great and ate the wizard hole leaving only an empty shadowy shell. A demon creature who needed to feed on others to keep growing ever stronger. Other magicians thinking they could control the darkness made the same mistake. And soon wars and battles were raged and the purity of the magic was stripped and replaced with corruption and madness.

The darkness spread through the lands soon it infected even those without magic who may have simply thought of something evil. The corruption began to infest everything and people turned to the creator of all to ask for death, forgiveness, immunity. But the creator could not stop corruption and he knew he had only one choice left. He sent to Nevermore his finest guardians. And told them to select the most powerful and pure children of the land. Each guardian selected a newborn and the creator sent them to Earth. He told his guardians to watch over the children until they turned the right age. Then they would have to lead them to Nevermore there true home. And the guardians did just that...

It's been 16 years sense the newborns were tossed into Earth. You will either play a guardian or a chosen one. If you are a guardian you will be in Nevermore with your Chosen one who is asleep. The chosen ones will not know each other but the guardians will know the chosen ones and each other thus forming a group. Your main goal is to unravel and destroy the chaos and corruption. Some corruption must be fought and killed but some corruption can be healed. How? By the magic the Chosen possess. Because they were saved from corruption there magic is pure and in the heat of battle they may unlock there abilities and powers to exorcise the darkness out of residence of Nevermore.

Your probably wondering why? Why not just leave the little corrupted creature to there own demise. If left alone the corruption will grow and deform get stronger and smarter and if given the chance will create a tear finding its way in the gateway to all realms. Into that little room with all the paintings... With all the gateways. And from there the blackness will consume all leaving the universe. But an empty shell with everything unmade from the very seems.

Nevermore/People:

Nevermore is a world similar to Earth but much more magical. The landscape is natural and free and there are things like faeries and other strange creatures. Above the clouds there are refugees being small islands floating in the sky. None are inhabited because of the high altitude and because there said to be home of ghosts. You will start out within the group on the outskirts of Shadow Town. It's the most widely known town within all of Nevermore because its there that the corruption was first spawned. Nevermore ranges from fantasy world to highly populated areas like cities here to most of the time small towns or road stops full of saloons and strange little houses. Nevermore IS magic though so of course there's strange places like towns surrounded by illusions or strange places with no roads and nothing but water or air. There's illusions and spells guarding places so be-careful not to follow the butterfly's.

As for the people... Well there aren't really any left. Well most people have been turned into creatures of darkness. The weakest ones are almost like people they simply seem to lack emotion and if they smell blood that contains magic they go wild and try to consume the source. The weakest creatures are called Underlings. They look like genderless people who's skin is dark and shadowy. You can touch Underling's but all you will feel is stone death cold. After the underlings there are level creatures level ones are like small shadowy creatures from legends like harpies made of shadow or deformed ugly zombie like creature all dark and shadowy. Level 2-3 are a bit bigger and stronger then level ones also made of shadow. It continues this way all the way to level 5 creatures. After level 5 creatures there are the hopeless. Hopeless are creatures that have no appearance of shape. There simply shadows with no face and voices. They trick people and lower level creatures by taking on human persona and bribing them with there hearts desire. Once they consume there prey they grow in darkness. And finally there's the Corrupt. Creatures that can have texture or none they range in shapes, sizes, abilities, and power and are the most dangerous of all. They also range from just plain stupid to extremely intelligent. Corrupt have lost everything to the darkness and have been unmade only in the rarest cases is there something left to save.

Shadow town the start of point is the least infected and most people there are either level 1 or Underlings. As you follow the roads from Shadow town there are more and more towns full with higher level monsters. BUT despite the fact monsters run ragged everywhere in all towns there is a way things works. There are even taverns and bars with music, hotels, inns, houses, jobs and currency. The people don't even seem to realize there lost in shadows and are very emotionless and plain... Until they smell magic or blood.

Maria Odess

Maria sat quietly at her school desk. The past few days had been warm and golden with the leaves changing colors and warm air, but still there was an air of coldness lurking about every shadow. Maria wasn't sure what this strange air of coldness around each dark corner was, perhaps only her imagination led her to think these things perhaps it was real. As these thoughts ran through Maria's head she did not notice the school bell ringing signalling the end of the day. It took her about 10 minutes to realize she was alone in the class before she got up and packed her things to go. While putting away her pencils Maria allowed herself to hum quietly as she did the air rippled around her and the lead of her pencil went from gray-ish to a vibrant shade of apple green. Now what was she going to write with???

Sighing Maria decided not to focus on trivial matters and packed everything up before spinning around on her heals and heading out the doors. The hallways of her school were quiet and empty with her classmates already off to start there weekend adventures. Maria never planned things for the weekend, she had no family to visit or friends to hang out with so there was nothing to plan for. While her mind focused on the negative thoughts of being alone during her weekend she walked down the hallway her shoes making noise that echoed off of the hallway walls. Making everything seem oddly earrie.

While Maria continued her way down to her dorm room she realized that she felt like something was watching her. She turned quickly too look down an empty hallway and sighed turning around and continuing on her way. While she rounded the corner she suddenly felt her left foot fall down. Maria froze in panic and looked down to see her foot swallowed up darkness cold darkness. But the darkness seemed odd it looked more like a shadow she could partially see through. Panic rose up in Maria but she supported herself and tried to tug her foot free. While she tugged though the shadow spread and her other foot fell in. Maria began to panic and tugged and ripped at her feet feeling her legs slowly getting swallowed up. Maria began to squirm and panic it felt like a snake slowly coiling around she closed her eyes tightly and when she opened them again her legs were free.

Maria looked around and ran down the hallway into her room and slammed the door behind her. "What the hell???" Despite her muttering her ability same into affect anyway and a book shed left on her desk earlier that morning burst into fire causing Maria to curse. "Stop!" The fire singed out like it had never been there but the burns were still noticeable on her book. Maria knew no one had an ability like her and that she was unique but she'd never really thought much about it. But whatever had happened in the hallway THAT she would think much about. Feeling shaken she moved over to the small bathroom in her dorm room and washed her face. When she looked up she noticed how dirty her mirror was and grabbed a cloth to clean it. She brought the cloth up to the mirror and started to clean it when her hand went through the mirror.

Maria panicked and tugged at her hand trying to free it but it felt like there was someone on the other side grabbing onto her hand and pulling her into it. Maria pulled back and struggled only to be pulled in further. "STOP IT!!!" The air around the mirror rippled but her ability had no effect and instead her arm was sucked in further. The silvery mirror wrapped around her arm and pulled her in up to shoulder. She opened her mouth the scream but was lifted off her feet and pulled in. On the other side Maria became unaware of everything it felt like she was being pulled through water. It was cold and she felt like she was a million times lighter. The only problem was she could not speak or open her eyes.

When what seemed like an eternity later Maria opened her eyes and looked up. She was outside somewhere now and the sky was bright and blue. She sat up very slowly only to come face to face with a pair of empty glowing white eyes. A scream caught in Maria's throat as she slowly shuffled backward. All around her were more glowing eyes she looked around the eyes and faintly saw the outline of human looking body's. But as human as the body's appeared they weren't they were dark like someone had wrapped there skin in shadows but there eyes were bright and void of all forms of emotion or expression. Maria wasn't sure what they were thinking but she noticed one of the creature was holding out it's hand.

Maria stared at the shadowy hand not sure if she should take it or not. She wasn't sure why she wasn't rolling around on the ground and screaming and freaking out in every-way imaginable. Maybe it was the fact that all this was so completely out of place and farfetched it made her feel completely at home. Or maybe it was because she was in shock and her mind wasn't sure how to process everything that was still happening. When she blinked back into reality she realized all of the shadowy creatures were holding out there hands to help her up.

When Maria finally stood up she looked around. She appeared to be in the heart of a small town, not a very elegant town but definitely a town. The buildings were small and shaggy with no color but looked to be made of gray wood the only color on any of the buildings was the biggest building. Maybe a mayors house Maria wasn't sure but it had a little red thatched roof and a red door to match. When Maria noticed the strange bright eyed ummm shadow people? Still staring at her she opened her mouth to speak. "So... Where am I?" There was no answer only silence before one of the shadows moved closer and stared down at her before opening what appeared to be a gash of a mouth to speak in a raspy hollow voice that caused Maria to feel sick. "Your in Shadow Town..."

To say that Tallen was restless was an understatement. He was downright on edge. The fact of the matter was that he couldn't help it. It was time, the Chosen were beginning to make their way into Nevermore. He needed to find Sarah and bring her to it. How she had gotten away from him made no sense to him, but the girl had a knack for it all her years on Earth. Not that she even knew he existed. Yet, anyway.

"Nomeno fanol ui xihuuli kiri kiarf ekess hawg, Tallen." He muttered to himself in his old words. He walked down the street, watching the shadows around him. No sign of anything unnatural, which was a good sign. The Corruption hadn't left Nevermore yet. He sighed, and turned down the side street, deciding to chack out Sarah's house. Perhaps he'd be able to pick up her trail there.

------------------------------

Morgan glared at the guy in front of him. Really? A cop? How had he...a sigh escaoed the boys lips. Well, if there was a better way to go, Morgan sure would have prefered it. "Alright, take me, then. But the boys had nothing to do with it. I was trying to get them somewhere safe." The man gave him a sympathetic look, and nodded.

Twenty minuets later Morgan found himself behind iron bars for the first time in his life. At least it was only a twenty-four hour stint, and not anything longer. He had an edgy feling in the back of his mind though, like something strange was about to happen. Shaking off the feeling, they red-haired boy laid down on the cot that had been provided, trying to at least take a nap. Four hours later and he was still wide awake. It really was too bad they had taken his cigarettes. He needed a smoke pretty bad.

Serenity Trumitive

Serenity walked the streets of Nevermore, or more specifically, Shadow town. Serenity wore her kimono and some armor over her shoulders and arms. She watched the shadows carefully as they writhed and slid across the ground.

Her scarlet hair was loose for once; as the slight dry breeze blew through it she contemplated the recent events. Something big was coming and she was, regretfully, a part of it. The Chosen were on their way to Nevermore, she could feel it. She heard through the grapevine that some of the Guardians had decided to go get their Chosen, instead of risking them falling into Nevermore unprepared. She shook her head. She supposed she should go get Morgan....but boy that kid was a pain in the ass to keep safe. It was like he needed to get himself into trouble to be happy....but he had a big heart, whether he chose to admit it or not.

A few moments later she stepped through her portal to Earth. The air was cool, and the shadows didn't move, all was peaceful here. She sighed and headed towards the jail where she sensed her Chosen was at. She stepped into the Cop Shop and nodded to the woman behind the desk.

"I'm here to bail Morgan Walker out" Serenity said as she flicked a loose strand of hair out of her face.

"What, that trouble maker? He doesn't have bail." The woman said with a smirk. Serenity wanted to punch the woman for her insolence towards her chosen and herself but forced herself to turn around and walk out.

She went around the back of the jail and touched the wall where she felt her chosen was laying. She closed her eyes and pictured a doorway, and it was there. She turned the nob, took a deep breath, and walked into the jail cell. Her Chosen was laying on the cot to the left of her. She looked at him, pulled out a pack of cigarettes and held them out to him while she waited for his reaction.

Morgan stared at the woman who had just walked out of a magic dor that had suddenly appeared. He sat up, unsure of what to think. Finally he shook his head and blinked. It was all still there. He cleared his throat. "Well...I would say I was dreaming, but I've only got one eye, and I don't let it play tricks on me. So, first order of business. Who the hell are you, and where the hell did that come from?"

He said this all in a placid tone of voice. The woman was lucky he was speaking at all. He took the cigarettes, took one out, and lit it. He couldn't shake the feeling that this woman was familiar to him some how, and he was sure he'd never seen her. His acid-green eye never left her face, and his right hand played with the lighter he had used. If she was able to make doors appear, a lighter probabl wouldn't do much good. Maybe he just needed to run for it. But she was standing between him and the only door out. "Well?"

Nevermore: Despair

"Wow! What a long day its been!" Despair said, looking all exhausted. He sat down in the overgrown grass in the meadow. He looked around trying to remember if he had been here or not. He had started to squeeze his eyes as he tried hard to imagine the grass from long ago. Alas, nothing came. He was a bit disappointed but far from surprised. After all he didn't even remember his name anymore. He imagined shorter grass, that was all the same size. He imagined happy faces which were all blurry for his mind.

Despair stood up as someone was approaching his position. "It is okay, brother," said a spider on his shoulder." It is us." With that said seven figures appeared from the bushes. Despair looked at the silvery thread of webbing that was attached to the spider and could barely trace the filament back to a silver haired girl with hair as long as she was tall. She was lying in the arms of a red haired and very athletic and tanned girl. They both smiled at him as did the other five girls walking with them.

The group of girls were all very pretty and dressed in either cute or stylish clothes that each depicted their personalities. Though that didn't matter much because they were drenched in blood and gore.

"Hey, Avarice" Despair called out to a blonde girl with a large mace that had the shadowy flesh of the corrupted clingy to a few nails. "How much did you spend in town today?" he asked he was simply discussing about shopping.

[Avarice] "More than I'd like!" she said with a frown. "I spent almost a fourth of my week's allowance," she said as she dropped her bat and it puffed out of existence. She pulled reached into her pocket and pulled out gold coins that had a strange glow to them. They disappeared in golden colored flame and with in the next instant Avarice's clothes were new and clean and looked very stylish.

[Envy] "Well had she shared some with the rest of us she wouldn't have had to spend some much on her weapons breaking." Said a girl with wild green hair and green eyes. "Despair you need to talk to Avarice about sharing more," Envy pleaded. "She's just too greedy." It was not a joke, just simple truth. Though they knew each other's problems and vices, they were family, so they couldn't help but argue from time to time.

The Despair looked at Sloth, the long haired girl with spiders in her silver hair. Her eyes were nearly closed by with as much effort as she could muster she moved a finger to wave to him.

[Pride] "You complain too much," Said the purple haired girl. Of all the girls she had the least blood on her. Pride hovered just above the ground as she looked at herself in her hand mirror. "All that yelling is going to give you wrinkles Envy." she said as she confirmed her perfection. "Did you miss us, brother?"

"Of course I did," he answered. "How did it go?"

[Wrath] "It was awesome!" answered the red haired girl. All the blood was gathered on either Wrath's hands or feet, which wasn't surprising because those were her deadliest weapons. "I tore through them as if they were paper! You should have been there!"

[Lust] "It was troublesome," said a girl dressed in a very little, which exposed her blue semi-translucent skin. A gas mask covered her face but one could still sense her beauty and allure through such a object. "Even though we must have destroyed hundreds of 'them' the continue to swarm in. I know my part is to draw them in, but it still seems excessive. Some were kind of cute though. It was a pity to kill so many"

"Lust stop touching yourself already," Despair said. "It's embarrassing. And Avarice give her some clothes. Avarice seemed shocked but despite her sour look she gave she pulled some money out of her bag and just as it disappeared once more Lust was now clothed in regular top which was over sized and simple cotton dress.

[Avarice]"What?!" she exclaimed as people eyed her for giving Lust such ragged clothes. "I'm not going to be wasting all my money on her just because she likes getting naked and is just going to throw them on the ground anyways

[Lust] "I don't do that because I like it, and I'm not naked" she retorted. "It is how my ability works. The more exposed I am the more the easier it is to release the miasma as well as my poisons." she paused for a moment. " Of course I don't dislike taking them off." she said as she licked her lips.

Despair sighed as he looked them over making sure they were all okay. They weren't hurt, and he was relieved. He didn't remember a lot, but he remembered his sisters, he just wasn't sure if they were like this before the corruption or not. He didn't think about it much, because family is family.

[Gluttony] "I'm hungry," stated a thin girl with long black hair and pure white skin. She wore tank top that exposed most of her stomach and torn shorts. Her stomach brought a lot of attention due to a giant mouth tattoo that seemed to take up her whole stomach and went around her hips to her back.

Despair's eyes fell on something before his sister Gluttony.
"How about you finish what's in your mouth before asking for more," suggested despair. Gluttony looked down as black shadowy arm was sticking out of her mouth on her stomach. Gluttony blushed with embrassment and the mouth on her stop opened exposing layers and layers of teeth and an impossible depth that defied the dimensions of the skinny girls body. Two tongues came up from the darkness and wrapped around the arm and pulled it inside.

"Sowwy about that," she said as innocently as possible.

Despair looked at Sloth and she nodded with so little effort that if anyone else had been watching they wouldn't have noticed. Suddenly Sloth's chest opened up the birdcage that was her stomach and the corrupted birds flew out into the woods around them. Several moments passed. and Sloth nodded ever so slightly again.

"Ok, this area is more or less cleared." stated Despair. "We have to try to pick up the pace with this destination points. The guardians asked the guides to clear some areas for a safe arrival. I'm not sure how the others are doing, or even if they are still alive. We may have to chec-"

[Gluttony] "Can we eat first!" the skinny Gluttony said. The other girls seemed to agree with her.

"Oh alright," Despair said. He walked over to a rock just a ways away and pulled out a picnic basket. "Alright lets dig in." he said as they set the cover and the food out and enjoyed a nice family meal together.

Serenity Trumitive

"You still have the patients of a starved dog with a steak, time hasn't changed that much obviously" Serenity muttered as she looked Morgan over. He appeared to be fine but she had a nagging urge to run her hands over him, or make him prove he hadn't been injured by the Police. She shook her head.

"I am Serenity Trumitive, your guardian." Serenity said and she realized suddenly that she had no freaken clue how she was going to get him to believe or understand the situation in Nevermore. Would he come willingly or was she going to have to conk him on the head and drag his ass there? She almost smiled at the thought. That would be a hell of a fight. She shook her head again and looked at Morgan with a half smile on her face. He was playing with the lighter like it would save him from her....

"I'm not here to hurt you" She said in a soothing tone. She sat on the cot opposite of him as she let the door she had created fade away.

Morgan took a drag of the cigarette, letting the smoke sit in his lungs. His eye narrowed at her, and he scowled, ever so slightly. "You talk as though you know me. And on top of that," He watched the door fade, a mild intrest in his eye. "You can alter reality, or in the very least, make doors appear and dissapear. But that in and of itself would only be useful in certian situations, so I would think that it would be my original sugestion. Am I right? And what do you mean that you're my Guardian? Guardian of what, exactly?"

The nagging didn't go away, and the red-haired woman did seem familiar. Morgan just wished he could place her. She was observant, that much was true. But then, so was he. He could tell she was watching him, but it seemed to be more of a concern for him, rather than herself. So, was she like...his protector? More of it made sense, at least, more than he cared to admit. He flicked the lighter closed and put it back in his pocket, leaning forward and resting his arms on his knees, watching her. He immediately felt slightly uncomfortable, his face in the light of th hallway. It was always that way, when he left the familiar sanctuary of the shadows. He liked darker areas. They had always felt...safe, for some reason.

Instinctively, he leaned back again, resting against the wall. Already he felt better, more confident. He never really could explain why. He also had to admit to himself that she didn't feel like a threat, and it did seem that she was telling the truth. But there seemed to be a lot missing from her story. So, he waited. He never liked waiting.

Sarah Anne Soulsby

(Earth)

Choices. Life is a series of choices which one makes, which then unlocks other choices, that create more paths. One could dwell on the decisions they once made, wondering, what if? Could I have made my life better, by not making that decision once upon a time? Would the people around me have been effected differently? Sooner or later however, one needs to learn to live with their decisions and learn from their mistakes. One could become a better person if they grew from the problems in which they encountered. Only the weak would give up to life, let it get them down and slowly let themselves rot away. I am not one of those people. As of this moment I am pretty sure I am destroying or making my current future. I have nothing left to my name, no family there for me, and a year gone from my memory. The last thing I remember, I was in my house with my mother and my little brother, eating spaghetti and meatballs. Or what was left of my family, I lost my father several years ago, and did would I could to keep my crumbling family together. But everything else...is a blank.

"Sarah? Sarah can you hear me?"
"Get the doctor, she's starting to wake up!"
"Sarah, can you hear me? My name is -"

"Where am I?"

" - mother and brother are dead."
" - hospital in...-"
" -been a year since.."
" -Social services"

And then, I ran.

Sarah sat against the wall of what still remained a foreign building, catching her breath from what was hours of running. It had been at least a week, though she wasn't completely sure, since she had ran out of the hospital which she still couldn't recall its name. She had gathered that she had been in a coma for around a year, her mother and little brother were dead, and that was as far as it went. She had spent a numerous amount of time trying to remember something, but deep down, something wasn't allowing her to do so. Her stomach protested against her failure to obtain food, as she bit her bottom lip and sweared under her breath. It might have been easy, for someone without vision to survive in their own environment, but she wasn't near home. She had no memory of these streets, these buildings, no one to tell her if it was day or night but the weather the traffic and the movement. There was no way of her seeing what each building was, how could you steal what you couldn't see? It was so foreign, but she was stubborn, she would sooner die of exhaustion and starvation trying to get the meal she so craved. Several days before, she had managed to wander into someone's garden, and grabbed everything she could and ran. She wasn't stupid enough to stay in the same place for too long.

She had been periodically asking people about her surroundings, though she could see arrays of outlines in blues and people in pulses of various blue colors - unfamiliarity was her worst enemy. When someone directed her to a store and she grabbed the closest food possible, she had run in a random direction eventually to be chased by cops only to be cornered in an ally way. After pretending to surrender what she stole and be arrested or so she figured, she smashed a can of unknown contents over the cop's head and ran away. It occurred to her, that if she did manage to stay away from anyone trying to catch her, she could be living like this for quite some time. But that was all, she hadn't thought about the consequences of her actions, or anything about her future till this moment. She had been to preoccupied running. She thought about what might happen if she went back to the hospital, what might happen if she ended up with another family. She thought about the possibility that whoever killed her family would kill her as well, she thought about continuing to run. Whatever choice she made was her own, but all and all she always knew. She knew she wouldn't allow herself to go back, she wasn't going to take a walk of shame back to the hospital. She would sooner kill herself before she did so. Footsteps then echoed to her right, and she turned to see two light fixtures, people, coming her way. They were talking amongst each other, so most likely had no interest in her. However, she figured it were safer she move.

Sarah stood up and walked down the blue pathway, she could hear the people behind her call out to her, which she found quite the annoyance. "What the fuck do you want!?" she shouted, quickly whipping around. "I don't have time for this shit, piss off!" One of the individuals, a male, taunted her and laughed at her, with the stereotypical, what are you going to do about it type of remark. Her growling stomach could wait, it was in that moment that a familiar grin shown on her face, tilting her head ever so slightly. "I'm guessing you want to find out." Sarah had a horrible temper, a short fuse, and a love for putting people in their place. Which was made all the worse by her stubbornness, inability to back down, and general like for winning anything - especially fights. She never cared that she was a tiny little twig, that most people would look at and think to themselves, that they could snap that in half. She only wished she could see the expression on the people's faces...what did faces really even look like? "Hey man, check out her eyes, I think this chicks blind!" Sarah scoffed at the second boy, "How observant of you, good job!" It took but three seconds for both the boys to go at her.

"Sarah! You got suspended!?" Her mothers voice shouted, though with more concern than anger. Sarah walked into the room, grinning from ear to ear. "It's not my fault people are stupid." There was a silence in the room for a moment. "Tell me what happened, you sure cannot justify this, this is the sixth time in one month." Sarah was silent and walked towards the kitchen, looking for a snack. "Sweetie, promise me you wont do it again, you know I worry about you."

"Sorry mom, but you're a bit dead now." Sarah said. Sarah punched one of the boys, landing a hit one what she assumed to be his jaw, and kicked the other - into an object she couldn't make out. "Aw, poor baby, did that hurt?" The first boy then grabbed her arm and held both of them behind her back. Sarah tried to wiggle free, but the boy was quite strong, though only slightly taller than her, clearly the strength factor was nowhere the same. She watched as the other person got back up and proceeded to punch her, repeatedly. Unable to wiggle free she spit on him, which obviously angered him, making him slap her across the face. "I'm sorry, did that hurt?" he asked sarcastically. "Sorry no, you hit like a girl." Using the fact the boy was holding her by the arms to her advantage, she lifted both of her feet and kicked the boy away. She then grabbed a sliver of glass she stashed in her shoe out and jabbed it in the boy behind her, as he screamed with pain, she ran away as fast as her feet would take her. Of course, she made sure to flip them the bird on her way out.

"Assholes!" she shouted. Her stomach growled once more, getting impatient. "Oh shut up! We're not dying." Her shoes, were not serving her well anymore - or rather, someone elses shoes. Since she had left the hospital in nothing but a gown, she had to resort to stealing someone's clothes when they left home. All she knew was, she was a wearing a dress, and sneakers, with a jacket of some kind around her waist. But the sneakers seemed a size too small, and she had been getting blisters because of it, the shoes often filling with blood. "Sorry shoes but this is where we part ways." she stopped on a corner and took off the shoes, stepping onto the cold cement - which didn't feel well on her feet either. "Right well...who has food for me?"

Tallen watched the fight unfold with both anger and pride. Anger at the boys who were hurting his charge, and pride that Sarah was fighting back. And winning. He was surprised how well the girl had survived on her own, even if it had only been a week. He silently followed her, a shadow, as she made her way out into the street, removing her shoes. She was now once again on the quest for food, but her feet needed taken care of. Because she couldn't see, he wondered if her subconcious would recognize him. Ever silent, he made a purchase of a rather large amount of food, and stopped in front of the girl on the corner. He knew that she could see him in some way, and waited for her to say something.

"Si ornla tepoha svadria nomenes droti waoli tepohada astahii levnima wux tikil tisvelkilt. Wux slathalin algbo, Sarah." It was only after he had spoken that he realized he had used the ancient tongue. "Iejir tilsin, thric altiui hofiba." He cursed himself, again in the old tongue, for letting that slip. Oh well, there was nothing to be done about it now.

EARTH

"Touch me," the Calvin Klein model said with a confident grin.

Aurora pressed her body against his chest, her legs wrapped tightly around his hips as the man held her up by her small waist. Her asymmetrical black hair fell softly against her skin, the white streaks in them bright against the fluorescent lights. Aurora had attempted to dye her hair multiple times but she'd wake up the next day and the white streaks would come back with a ferocity so she gave up after some time. Aurora pressed her slim body against the model's, her long legs clad in jeans and her upper body partially covered in a black bra.

The click of a camera sounded as the artificial lighting momentarily blinded the two models. A flamboyant photographer cooed as he circled them with his heavy DSLR with its humongous lens, Aurora resisted the urge to roll her eyes as 'Satisfaction' hummed in the background.

"Break time!" Flamboyant Photographer sing-songed. Aurora slid down the length of the muscular man's body until her feet touched the sandy ground. Honestly, she didn't understand why they needed extra lights when the Sun was so bloody bright.

Her cheap phone vibrated on the bench she'd placed it on, she looked up at the curious bystanders outside the barred zone of the shooting. She raised a trimmed and brushed eyebrow at a group of men who were flexing their thick arms at her as she picked up her small plastic phone. "Who is this?" Aurora asked in her soft Australian accent. She'd lived with an Australian family for much of her childhood - they were douche bags.

"Aww, no introduction? A kind hello?" asked a raspy male on the other end, he sounded like he smoked 6 packs a day. He probably does. Aurora pulled the phone from her ear to look at who was calling before putting the phone back to her ear.

"Why are you calling from the police station?" she asked.

"Relax. I just stole a traffic light or two..." he mumbled before giggling like a drunk little girl.

"Stop it! Of course I know I'm the greatest person the Earth has ever been blessed with," she yelled loudly, eyeing her surroundings before whispering, "You're paying for the food for a month." Aurora hung up.

Slipping on a translucent white button-up shirt, she vaguely waved goodbye before jogging from the beach to the police station. She breathed some Air into her feet, allowing her to take larger strides. The Air she created gave her an extra lift - if you looked closely enough, you could see her feet were not touching the ground.

When Aurora entered the police station, she spotted the man who'd called her immediately. He sat behind the bars, his face sunken and his eyes dull. Aurora had stayed clean for nearly a month now but most of the Leftovers, if not all, were still hooked. "Aurie!" he gasped in relief, shaking the unmovable bars.

"Your brother?" the police asked. "Mike Lockhart?"

"Yeah," Aurora shoved a handful of large dollar notes into his hand, "Keep the change." Remove this from his record.

Aurora went under the last name "Lockhart" - according to her fake ID, she was an 20 year old woman who'd graduated from University early. Then again, this was just one of her fake identities. She used it the most often, especially for modelling, but she had a lot more stashed in the Den.

Mike hugged his face to her chest when they were outside. Aurora growled and smacked his head away before setting a lock of his hair on fire. Mike jumped, smacking his hair to get rid of the scorching flames. Aurora smirked, her jeans hugging her curvy figure. Under her translucent shirt, her peculiar birthmarks of small black birds flying over her shoulder moved for the first time. Aurora did not notice anything but a slight tingling in her back as her birds' wings fluttered beneath her skin. They did not fly away, however, but instead waited for Someone to come.

Aurora's breathy, sugary voice spoke in a lilting Australian, "You should be a woman but your beards do not allow me to interpret you as such."

An almost frenzied air of excitement was present in the surrounding area as a pair of muted green orbs glanced at the crowd of curious onlookers. Silver released a low chuckle as they spoke in hushed whispers to one another and cooed at the display. He didn’t even have to analyze the tone of their voices to come to the conclusion that they were excited – their body language was that much of a dead giveaway.

The charged atmosphere was suffocating for Silver. It was as if his body was made of Teflon. No matter how much excitement radiated off the bodies of those around him, it never quite reached him – it would just bounce off and hit another unsuspecting victim. He hadn’t intended to be surrounded by this many humans. During his usual trips to Earth, he didn’t particularly mind their company – even interacting with them and occasionally enrolling in their universities. However, there was a storm brewing in Nevermore. He had left that world only several days ago but he could still feel the darkness seeping under his skin and the eerie chill in his spine. Silver had feared the worst upon landing on Earth; ultimately worried that the corruption managed to spread further out than the creator expected. Though he saw no significant change in the shadows, his fear didn’t falter in consuming his thoughts. It was nearly time – time for the Chosen to learn of their true heritage and fulfill their purpose.

Silver had been agitated ever since his arrival. His thoughts were becoming erratic and, despite never acting on them, he had once contemplated taking his Chosen to Nevermore without so much as an explanation. He shuddered internally even recalling it. One foolish notion was enough to last him a millennium. Turning his attention back toward the ever growing crowd, Silver gave off the appearance of a casual observer. His upper body was shielded by the shade of a nearby tree as he watched over Aurora.

Aurora. He liked to think that the name suited her, his mind immediately comparing her to the aurora borealis. Being a Majesdanian and a part of a family so connected to astrology, Silver found it amusing that the teenager’s name had something to do with the night skies. Yet, he wrote it off as a coincidence. He was skeptical when it came to the idea of fate or fated encounters. Spotting the familiar white streak of her hair, Silver shifted from his position on the wooden bench and stood – still careful not to draw too much attention. He had never once made himself known to her on his trips and he hadn’t intended to this time around either; although, it seemed like he would have to.

His gaze zeroed in on Aurora – who was yelling loudly into a small electronic device. Her attire was unusual but no longer surprised him. It was required in her field of work; although, Silver never really understood this profession. Modeling, they called it? He didn’t know whether or not they were meant to sell their bodies or something else entirely.

When she hung up and began to jog toward the nearby police station, he trailed silently behind her. He made it look entirely coincidental – like he just happened to be going in the same direction – and began whistling a familiar Majesdanian lullaby. He even made occasional stops to greet shop owners and feign interest in their products. As Silver laughed along with the elderly grocer, his eyes flitted back to Aurora. Could she make it anymore blatantly obvious? To his trained eyes, she gave off the impression of walking on air. He could only assume she was abusing her gifts again. Aurora was so troublesome when it came to her powers; not at all considering the consequences of using them out in the open. Silver could recall every time he was forced to cover for her without her knowledge.

Watching her figure disappear into the intimidating building, he purchased an apple from the man and bit into it. It felt like hours passed until she finally came out, accompanied by someone that Silver guessed was her friends. She keeps odd company. He waved goodbye to the shop keeper and moved forward – tossing the apple core into a trash can on his way toward them.

"You should be a woman but your beards do not allow me to interpret you as such."

β€œI look like a woman?” Silver teased, a pearly white smile encompassing his features. His serious demeanor was all but hidden under his practiced ruse as a charismatic University student. Running a hand through his platinum blonde hair, he tilted his head to the side and chuckled.

β€œAh! It was the pretty model from before!”

β€œBut who are those two guys next to her?”

β€œThe blonde guy looks so cool. He has to be her boyfriend! I bet he’s a model too. They’re really beautiful. A model couple, can you believe it?”

β€œWhat’s up with that other guy?”

Silver only vaguely registered the conversations around the newly formed trio and internally sighed. He would have to find a way to get Aurora to ditch her friend and go with him elsewhere. A private conversation wouldn’t be best in this environment.

β€œI look like a woman?” asked a velvety voice.

Aurora froze, the tingling on her back where her flying birds were growing stronger. She smacked the skin on her back and thought, Great, now my weird birthmark attracts insects. Unknown to her, the birds were beating their wings frantically, racing against her skin as if they wanted the blonde man to stroke their feathers. Placing her hands on her full hips, Aurora turned around to face the man who'd spoken. She wasn't very fond of his voice - it sounded well-practiced, as if every change in tone had been rehearsed a million times. Besides, it was a little too perfect.

"Do I kno-" she stopped abruptly, her eyes staring at a muscled chest with appreciation. The man was nearly a head taller than her and Aurora was not short in the least. Letting her blueish-purple eyes trail up the length of him to rest on his very inviting lips, she made it plainly obvious that she was interested. What did she care what anyone thought? There was no human being alive who could resist her. Modest. Very modest, she mused with a small smile. Aurora searched his face until she found his green eyes. For a few long seconds, Aurora's smile faded from her lips. He looked so familiar and dare she say, otherworldly. It was almost as if he could see into the very depths of her being, into every scar and mistake she'd ever made. Those eyes made her ashamed of everything she'd done wrong. Inwardly smacking herself, she dropped her thick lashes down to study his lips.

"Surprisingly not," she said cooly in response to his original question. Forcing her perpetually 'lost' eyes up to meet the handsome man's, she tilted her red lips into a smirk. "Then again, I haven't seen much of the rest of you."

"Auuurriiieee," an annoying voice whined. Narrowing her eyes to give the scrawny boy a warning glare, she quickly glanced at the tall man, her eyes softening. Honestly, she hated those eyes of hers. No matter how pretty she was or how unusual and lovely her eyes were, they always looked like that of a lost puppy. "Sec," she said before hissing in the boy's ear. "When I die, I will haunt everything you love. Now scram."

"No!" Mike said with an adamant stomp of his foot. He wasn't actually that young - in fact, he was older than Aurora by a good 5 years. She wasn't sure if it was because of the way he was mistreated by his guardians or because of the drugs but he had the mind of a nine year old.

Speaking of guardians, she hated them.

They were all irresponsible, uncaring and downright cruel. She'd had her fair share of 'guardians' under the foster care system and she'd never liked a single one. If she was lucky, she'd end up in the hands of guardians who provided her with food and shelter but never once uttered a word in her direction. The worst guardians she'd ever had were the Australians. The man was perverted. He'd most likely molested a million other children before he got to Aurora. She was still half convinced the monster of a man was a legitimate demon. His unseeing wife wasn't that far off, either.

"I'll buy you food for a month," she said, a finality to her tone. Take it or leave it.

"Okay," the man proclaimed with a nod, his eyes pressed in dark circles. He wore a shirt that was much too small for him, with multiple holes all about. Aurora had offered to buy him clothing countless of times but he'd always refused. The tattered shirt with Transformers on the front meant something more than just a shirt to Mike, obviously.

"Sorry about that. My brother's... Clingy," she said cautiously.

"Oh my god! That's her brother?"
"He looks homeless!"
"This is going to look great on the tabloids. 'Top Model with Hobo Brother'"
"Is he a drug addict? He looks so gross."

"I couldn't help but overhear your conversation," Aurora gasped in feigned surprise, peeping at them from the side of the blonde stranger's arm to stare at the curious onlookers. "As a friend - we can be friends, right? - I must tell you this quietly. Sell when you can - you're not for all markets, you ignorant Swedish meatballs!" she yelled loudly. The ground rocked beneath their feet as Aurora's fingers sparked with an electric heat. Her hair lifted every so slightly, an invisible wind picking them up.

Aurora was not the most caring person in the world, she didn't even think she was a decent friend. But no one, no one was allowed to mistreat those she called her own. Mike was annoying, admittedly homeless and not all perfect in the head, but he was hers. Mike had lived a terrible life. From what she saw of his scarred body, people had not treated him too kindly and he was not well in the least. None of the Leftovers were. Aurora knew what it was like to be trapped in the hands of drugs and drinking. To lose yourself in the rush of artificial happiness, to destroy yourself because you believed that was what you deserved.

Because it made no difference, you were broken from the start.

No longer aware of the man standing in front of her, Aurora crackled with barely controlled fury. Her body trembled with power that begged to be released and at that moment, she wanted to kill them all. Absolutely every last one of them humans.

You're losing control, Aurora.

With a visible pain, the young woman pulled her fire back in, trapping it within her body as if she were caging a bird. Aurora's eyes watered from the effort of keeping all of her magic restrained for she felt as if at any moment, she would explode with the pressure of her power shoving against her skin and pressing against her skull. Her heated fingernails had scorched four crescent moons into each palm as she struggled to regain control. 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, she counted, breathing slowly.

Great first impression.

Natsu Williams

'Today is a nice autumn day' Natsu noted with a gentle smile as he continued to water his plants. The weather was slightly cold but not enough to create an uncomfortable feeling, the leaves were changing color and the people on the street were beginning to wear a thin coat to prevent the cold from seeping into their bones. Overall, it was a familiar and yet at the same time, welcoming sight. Touching a white lily and sighing wistfully, Nat walked into his apartment. The young man's apartment was in the fifth floor, enough so that he wouldn't be suffocated by people but also enough so that he wouldn't appear to be a loner. It was a convenient apartment, not too large but neat and clean.

Natsu's apartment had only three rooms: a bathroom, a bedroom, and a kitchen-dining-living-room with a small space as the balcony. Even though it was not impressive in size, it was beautiful. The wall was painted white and the floor was made out of wood. There was a medium size bookshelf filled with books and small, colorful vases. The young journalist's papers were organized and placed on the right side of his desk, each all had a small tag so that he could find it easily if he wanted to. There was also a window placed on the exact position so that Nat could see the street bellow his building. He also had several pots of lilies which had been planted by himself months ago and were now spotting very beautiful flowers. To sum up, Nat's apartment looked like it belonged to a responsible girl more than it belonged to a young man in his early twenties.

"Hmm... I wonder if I should call Mom... It has been a long time since I called her..." Nat mused to himself as he sent a look at his cellphone, biting his bottom lip slightly. Natsu was a beautiful young man. His slightly wavy blonde hair reached his neck naturally as his violet eyes shone brightly behind his glasses. His pink lips curled into a small smile as he skipped into the bedroom, his fingertips brushing the white wall gently. He had a very feminine build, a slender figure with thin waist and creamy skin. Today Nat was wearing a long sleeves button up shirt and brown jeans, a red apron fitted himself perfectly.

Tucking a blonde lock of hair behind his left ear, Nat picked up the phone and pushed the call button, his eyes never lost their light. "Mom? Hey, it's me, Natsu." His mother said something and Natsu smiled, sitting down on his bed, a hand played with his apron. "Yeah, I'm fine, t-thank you Mom... yeah, I k-know I haven't called y-you for a long time... I have been very b-busy this month... The p-project and I have to w-write, too. I'm so-sorry" Natsu smiled apologetically though his Mother couldn't see it. "Um...I w-will call you la-later tonight, okay? My b-boss is calling me... L-love you, too, Mom" Waiting for his Mother to hung up, Natsu quickly answered his call "I'm s-sorry... Y-yes, I will h-have it tomo-tomorrow, s-sir...Of c-course. G-good bye, s-sir" The second phone call was short though it left a obviously sadder Natsu on his bed.

Sighing again, this time out of sadness and disappointment, Natsu stood up and walked to his working desk. Sitting down again, Natsu opened his black diary and wrote nine simple words into it.

Today, I'm still waiting for my angel to come

Closing the diary, Nat simply sat there, staring out at the empty space in front of him, deep in thoughts. Finally, after what seemed like hours but in reality only thirty minutes, Natsu left his spot and walked to the kitchen to prepare something for himself. Humming a soft lullaby that his adopted Mother used to sing for him, Natsu began to work. Taking out an orange, he cut it skillfully with a sharp knife.

Taking out a small pot, Natsu began to pour into it some virgin olive oil and turned on the fire, waiting patiently for the oil to heat up, adding some rosemary and then a few olives. Stirring the pot gently, Nat began to let his mind wander. Should he stay up late tonight to finish his work? Or should he sleep early and then wake up early to do them? Almost automatically, Nat turned off the oven and let the mixture cooled down. Pouring the orange juice and oil mixture into a large bowl, he added spinach and seasoned it. Nodding to himself, Natsu added a little bit more salt and poured it all into a plate.

Bringing it to the table, Natsu ate his salad silently. The wall clock ticked slowly until it was time the street lights were about to be turned on. With a visible jerk, Natsu hastily abandoned his half-eaten salad and ran out of his room. His body leaned against the balcony as the young man watched the streets slowly lit up. It was a very beautiful sight and Natsu watched it as usually as he could. He could never get over the awe feeling whenever he watched as the entire New York city turned on the lights. You may call him strange or even freaky but Natsu Williams just loved the romantic feeling it gave off.

Waiting until the last street lights were turned on, Natsu sighed and walked inside his suddenly very tiny apartment. Sometimes, he wished he could do something big, so that people might recognize him for who he was and not just the four-eyes homo freak that others often called him. Chuckling sadly at the thought, Natsu muttered softly, not stuttering for the first time in the whole day "Like I'm that special... The freak will forever remain as the freak after all..."

Shaking his head, Natsu tried to shove the few last bites of his also suddenly tasteless salad, the young man tried to think of something more positive 'But I am special in my own way, I guess...people just haven't realized that...' He ignored the tiniest voice in the back of his mind, finished his thought bitterly 'and they never will'. He wasn't some random emo kids. He had his own life and he was content to just be someone normal.

Washing the dishes, Natsu couldn't help but noticed the winds were a lot colder than normal. Perhaps it was just his imagination... or was it something else?

Agarwaen Gaer

'Why don't you just give in already? Don't you know how comfortable it will be? For you and for me?' A poisonous voice whispered into Agarwaen's ears, laughing in a high pitched voice as Agarwaen gave a grunt but didn't reply to its taunts. It looked like it had to change tactics. 'Aww... you make me sad... we are one, you know? You and me... I am the demon, true but you allow me to go into your life... you are worse than me... shame on you' This time, Agarwaen couldn't contain his snarl any longer. He snapped out loud "Will you just shut the hell up? I am tired of hearing your voice. Rambling on and on and on all day and night long. Don't you get tired? Go to HELL, you corrupted being"

'But I am you... you are sending yourself to Hell? Why do you have to do so? Just join us... say yes one time won't hurt anyone. If you really don't like it, you can go back the way you are... just a taste is enough' It whispered sweetly, sensing Agarwaen's protection began to crumble once again. It was getting through him. It knew that. Just the matter of time before another powerful corruption was born... Patience was the key.

Sweats were pouring down from Agarwaen's sickly pale face as he tried to ignore the twisted voice - the devious version of his own voice. He didn't know how long he could endure this. Every day and night he was beginning to think that maybe he should just give up. Twenty years were too long, too much... He didn't know if he could do this anymore. Shaking his head, the genderless elf tried to shake off the dangerous thought. No! Just tried a little harder! They would be here soon! They would save him from this torment.

'Torments? Really? I think you and I both enjoy our sessions a lot, don't you think? Do you enjoy it? I know I enjoy it very much!' It giggled and Agarwaen covered his ears to block out the sound. It was noisy and to put it frankly, it was pissing him off. Trying to calm his nerve down, Agarwaen began chanting. "CΓΊt Δ‘i tΓͺn quỉ sα»© của Δ‘α»‹a ngα»₯c. NgΖ°Ζ‘i lΓ  tΓͺn quΓ‘i vαΊt khΓ΄ng mời mΓ  Δ‘αΊΏn, lΓ  thα»© nhΖ‘ nhuα»‘c mΓ  ta khΓ΄ng cαΊ§n, cΓΊt về nΖ‘i ở tα»‘i tΔƒm của ngΖ°Ζ‘i. ĐÒy khΓ΄ng phαΊ£i lΓ  Δ‘αΊ₯t của ngΖ°Ζ‘i!"

The voice hissed it pain but didn't disappear without another dangerous hiss in Agarwaen's head 'You win this time and maybe even next time but remember this, sinned elf, you can't win forever...' Agarwaen just snapped back, his voice was just as dangerous as the demon's "Just wait and see. I can take you on any days! You will never win, demon!" The demon laughed but left Agarwaen, who was completely exhausted by now, alone.

"Oh God... Can I continue this? I'm so tired" Agarwaen mumbled as he leaned against the wall. Finally, finding enough strength, the poison master pushed himself back up and stumbled, nearly fell down again. Gripping his bookshelf tightly in order to regain his balance, Agarwaen snacked the poisons laying on a nearby table and drank them all messily.

Grimaced at the bitter and sour taste combined with something that tasted like rotten fish, the elf covered his mouth to prevent himself from throwing up the poisons...again. He looked around his room and closed his eyes tiredly. It was a dark, dirty and damped room, molds were growing everywhere. On the table, there was only a dimly lit candle and a poison book. Vials after vials could be found on a shelf next to three big bubbling cauldrons. Each cauldron had a strange smoke surrounding it.

"And to think... when I was younger... I felt disgusted by dark elves. Now I am one of them" Agarwaen mumbled and let out another humorless laugh that sounded strangely dulled and hollow to his ears. It seemed like happiness had been sucked out of his system just like every time. Sighing tiredly, Agarwaen collapsed on his bed and closed his eyes, letting out a lone tear that ran down his cheek "Please, saviors... Come back and save me... I can't last much longer..." A last thought slipped from his mind as he let himself be surrounded by the darkness 'I am fighting a lost battle already... I'm sorry'. Somewhere in his mind, the demon laughed out loud. Just a bit more... Just a little bit more...

"I am what you would call....a Guardian Angel....with a lot less angel in the mix." Serenity said attempting to explain. She almost wanted to create wings and a halo for herself but felt like that would be a lie. She wasn't what earth considered an angel.....maybe an arch-angel....but she was sure she had seen more death and pain than any arch-angel the humans could think up. She shook the depressing thoughts out of her head and turned her attention to her charge.

"and i need you to come with me....please." she said, the last word feeling unfamiliar on her tongue. She tried to think of reasons why he should go with her, aside from the fact that his life was in danger. She felt he might not care about that.....but she hoped he would care that Nevermore's corruption would spill into earth, causing a lot of death and pain.

"look, i don't have a lot of time, i can explain all of it on the way, but i really need you to come with me. It cant be worse than sitting in a jail cell right?" she asked with a small smile.

Morgan watched the woman closely, noting that she seemed slightly uncomfortable. "A Guardian Angel, you say?" He blew out the smoke from the final drag of his cigarette, throwing the butt on the floor and putting it out with the heel of his boot. "Well...while I really would like to hear more, and I mean, a lot more, considering I know nothing as to why you want me to go with you, I can also tell that you want to get out of here, so then fine, we can go."

He stood up, silently allowing her to create a door and following her outside. He walked with her quite a ways away from the jail before stopping. The shadows swirled around him. He supposed his comfort in shadow came from his minor ability to control them. He put four shadow spikes across the wall in front of Serenity. He stood with his hands in his pockets, a glare on his face. "I would suggest that you tell me exactly what you want with me and where we are going. Or I leave, plain and simple. I don't like taking orders, see. But I don't plan on fighting you, either. It leaves a bad taste in my mouth when I fight women, and I don't fancy fighting someone, woman or not, who has some odd-freak power like I do." He grinned, flexing his fingers. "I'm pretty rusty, and I don't fancy getting my ass kicked by a girl. So, answers?"

Serenity thought everything was going fine until her charge....threatened her into telling him the truth? Well at least he had balls. She couldn't help it, her mouth twitched as she tried to hold back a laugh....and failed miserably. Her laughter rang out, clear as a silver bell. Suddenly she cut a rip in the air, stepped through and ended up behind Morgan. She pressed herself to his back and pressed a silver blade to his throat, not hard enough to hurt him, but enough to let him know she was serious. Less than a minute later she was back where she started, and grinning like a fool. She knew that at this point in time she could kick his ass, but once he was trained...well there was a reason he was chosen.

"Morgan, it wouldn't be a fight. If i wanted you dead you would be. Oh, and don't threaten me, i don't mind telling the truth, but a 'please' wouldn't hurt now would it?" she said still grinning. She sobered herself up so that she could explain.

"Look, I've been around for a loooooong time. You weren't my responsibility at first....you where---you where my sisters Charge...." She said trailing off because her throat tightened up to the point of physical pain at the thought of her twin.

"You are a chosen one. The one destined to save our realm from the corrupted, and i was appointed your guardian until you are ready to fulfill your role, as one of the saviors of Nevermore." Serenity said in all seriousness. She watched him waiting for a response.

Morgan's eye widened in sheer surprise, but only for a second. He scoffed. "Why the hell did you think I said i would run? I don't like getting my ass kicked by anyone, I said that already." He let her words sink in, and sighed. He called the shadows back to him. "You're still leaving me with a lot of holes. But," He grinned at her, knowing he didn't have much choice.

"I'm curios as to why you're so damned familiar to me, and I have a lot of other questions, but those can wait." He walked past her, in the direction she had been heading, in the first place. "Well? Are we going to this Nevermore? Or not? Because I don't like waiting. I don't like a lot of things, come to think of it."

A part of him wondered what he was getting himself into. But then, after everything that had ever happened to him in his life, this fit right in. From the time he was fourteen, and the shadows had sustained him, whispered to him, kept him alive while he had been nailed to that wall, he knew he wasn't meant to live the life he was. There were other things out there. And it seemed that this girl, Serenity, knew the answers, and what those things were. He clutched at the dog tags around his neck. A haunted look passed over his face, and then it was gone, all in a fraction of a second. "What'd you say your name was? Serenity? C'mon, let's get a move on already we--" He stopped, a slight look of shock on his face. He then sighed once agian, this time sounding exasperated. "I never did actually tell you my name...I guess I shouldn't be surprised, right?"

Serenity grinned at him.

"I told you, I've been around for a long time, and your my responsibility." She said as she turned down an alley. She closed her eyes once more, and pictured the door to her home, the door to Nevermore. She opened her eyes and a red door. She produced a key, unlocked it, and opened the door.

"give me your hand" she said as sh held out her pale, almost frail, hand.

"The trip between worlds can be painful, disroientng, and nauseating for new travelers." she said as a way of explaination

The fluttering of birds hummed in the back of his mind. Silver could almost envision majestic wings beating the surrounding air – the avian animals not at all constrained but free to do as they pleased. Despite knowing that it was only a figment of his imagination, he had a strange desire to reach out for one and run his fingers against its glossy feathers. It was a peculiar notion that seemed to have rammed itself into his ever moving train of thought. He was in no position to be thinking about fleeting birds; nor did he see any above him. Silver had no explanation behind it. He vaguely wondered if the creator had inserted the images into his head for one reason or another but pushed those thoughts aside. It was essential to focus on the present. He could analyze the significance of this later.

Silver could feel the heat of Aurora’s gaze on him. It was clear in her expression and movements that she found something about his physical appearance attractive; though, whether or not that was a good or bad thing was beyond him. Shoving his hands into the pockets of his denim jeans, he kept silent. He needed to tread carefully when dealing with his Chosen. She was a beautiful young woman – even by the standards of Majesdanians – and that was a blessing in this cut throat world. Humans were drawn to the concept of beauty. They fawned over and craved it. It was as if humans believed that anything beautiful had a magical quality to it. In a non-magical society, beauty equated to power. However, time had taught Silver well. He knew that beauty was a very fickle thing. Its definition was ever changing and what once was beautiful could very well be average the next day. He also knew that beauty was dangerous. Glancing at Aurora only reaffirmed that. No matter how beautiful she appeared to be, the abilities granted to her were lethal. Silver didn’t know what to expect from her in her earliest years. As her assigned partner, he watched over her from a distance – letting her life her life with little interference from his end. It was meant to be that way but, unlike her blessing with beauty, life had not blessed her with an easy road. Silver had often debated within himself. He struggled with thoughts of overstepping his boundaries to protect her but, like his father always told him, Aurora was meant to undergo this struggle. When her gaze finally reached his eyes, he locked on and fleetingly saw all the cruelties that had been thrown her way. Silver continued to stare into her near purple colored eyes – his mind recalling all the times he was forced to stand by as she suffered – until she broke contact and focused elsewhere.

Silver chuckled at the sight of her smirk, all the vulnerability that Aurora had revealed in her eyes gone. β€œIt’s best if we keep it that way.” Balancing on the heels of his feet, her friend suddenly interrupted in a low whine. He turned his head ever so slightly to inspect Aurora’s companion. He was pitiful to look at with his tattered attire and grimy appearance. Silver assumed that his hobbies, much like his mental state, were questionable. Though, as she seemed rather fond of him, he decided against saying anything about it. Despite feeling sympathetic toward the other male, Silver appeared rather detached. His eyes were distant – not giving away what he felt. He nodded when Aurora asked for a moment and looked away, trying to give them an illusion of privacy.

β€œUnderstandable. My little sister is like that too,” Silver said in a not-much-you-can-do-about-it tone and gave her a lopsided grin. The background voices seemed to escalate at Aurora’s confession and he stiffened to a barely noticeable degree. Humans are such nosy creatures. He watched in thinly veiled amusement as she called out to them but this emotion was short lived when the charge in the air changed drastically. Silver could feel the goose bumps spread across the skin of those around him and his eyes focused on Aurora. Her powers over the four elements were coming into play and, what had started off as a quiet day, seemed to be taking a dangerous turn. He watched her with the utmost caution; prepared to push bystanders out of the way in case she lashed out. He readied himself for the worst.

Nothing came.

Pain was evident on her face as she fought for control. Silver could only imagine the amount of restraint that she was being forced to use in order to reign her powers. As someone who grew up knowing and understanding just who and what he was, Silver had a good deal of control. He knew that he was lucky – not everyone had been granted the same beginnings. He was raised by fellow Majesdanians and grew up with knowledge about his people and their abilities. She hadn’t been as lucky. Time seemed to tick on extremely slowly until her breathing found a normal pace. β€œI’m sorry,” was all he could say. Silver surprised even himself when he noticed his hand had left its place in his pocket and now rested on her shoulder.

β€œI would take this as my cue to leave but I have something important I’d like to discuss with you. It might help you better understand why you can do what others can’t,” he murmured. Most of the onlookers had left in the wake of her powers making themselves known but he didn’t want to take any chances. β€œIs there anywhere we can go that’s more…private?” Silver pulled his hand back and straightened himself out while he scanned the perimeter. Though he knew the corruption hadn’t spread to this world yet, he was still cautious – especially when he was beside Aurora.

β€œYou have to trust me.” Looking at her, there was one thought racing through his mind: Aurora was probably going to do everything in her power to make this situation as difficult as possible. He would not put it past her.

Luka glanced around the foreign place with mild interest. In some ways Earth was like Nevermore but in many ways, different. He probably seemed out of place here but that was least of his worries; his main goal was to find his Chosen. Glancing around, what seemed like a park, Luka hurried down the streets while trying to avoid all the stares. Do these humans not know that it is a rude thing to do? A small sigh escapes his lips as he tries to concentrate. It's rather hard to do when there's honking of vehicles all around you. Still, he finds a nice shaded area under a tree and takes a deep breath.

Murmuring what seems like some kind of weird native language to the human ear, Luka slowly opens his eyes as a strong wind blows. Hn, so his chosen wasn't among these group of humans. Running a hand through his hair, the raven proceeds to move on. He did feel something from the North, and since his instincts were right most of the time, why not go for it? Sliding his hand into his coat pocket, Luka managed to escaped the busy streets silently.

If there was one thing he liked about Earth was that you really didn't have to worry about the corrupted... Or at least not yet. When you see these people going about their daily lives without knowing a thing of the other worlds, it's kind of sad. Whatever joy they were finding in this place called Earth might be taken away and in a way, it's unfair. Luka should really stop doubting himself and bringing his own mood down with these stupid thoughts, but it's something he can't simply overlook.

"Focus on your task first..." he muttered to himself, shaking his head a little.

Suddenly stopping in front of an apartment building, Luka quickly looks around, a little more alert than before. It's around here that he's getting the feeling that his Chosen is nearby.Eyeing each building and the floors carefully, his heterochromic eyes rest on the balcony of a fifth floor apartment building. The light is on so someone is in there. Would it be weird to knock on their window and ask to come in...? Yeah, probably. But it'll look stupid if he climbed up the steps and knocked on the door to check...

Goddamn it.

Luka let out another stressed sigh. He wondered of the other guardians found their Chosen yet. Making up his mind after pacing for a minute or two, Luka easily leaped up to the fifth floor balcony, landing quietly on the railing. Dropping down, he tilts his head at the weird interior of the house (since buildings were a little different in Nevermore) and raises his eyebrows; it's surprisingly neat. Now, to open the balcony window.

He placed a hand on the glass, almost as if he was examining it. With a spark of what seems like a purple static the glass easily shattered into pieces. Oh yikes, he didn't mean to, but oh well. Stepping in carefully, he glances around the small space. The shattered glass on the floor looks really out of place in such a clean house. Taking another step, he stops when a figure catches his eyes. Turning, he opens his mouth to say something to the blonde before stopping. What is he supposed to say again?

Maria Odess

Maria was walking about Shadow town now. The tall shadowy people had gone back to work all except the rather tall one that was following her like a loyal dog. It was only when she got closer to the dark black and gray forest that it stopped following her. "Are you going to follow?" She inquired to the creature. There was a pause and the air seemed still and uncomfortable before the shadowy creature shook its head. "In darker places there is far worse then us." Maria raised an eye brow and turned to look into the dark trees. She took a step forward daringly and a swarm of crows flew out squawking making her jump back a little.

Maria blinked once the crows were gone and simply shrugged before taking another step then another until she was in the forest and the trees enveloped her in darkness. Maria looked up and through the gnarled branches and dark green leaves light pored into the darkness illuminating patches of water and patches of thick green grass. To most people the forest would seem a haunted dark place and it probably was. But to Maria there was something about it that drew her in. Not in a bad way... In a good way in the way that meant there was something here she needed to find. And so she set off.

As Maria wandered through the trees weaving and dodging branches and finding her way about she discovered she liked the place more and more. It was oddly warm and though certain parts of the forest looked mangled and twisted in a dark way that made Maria back up and turn around there were odd parts of the forest that seemed immune to the darkness. There in the pockets of light she would stand for a minute or two basking in golden sun light and looking at the pocket of purity around her. At one point Maria found a little tunnel and on the other side was had once probably been a garden. There was a small wooden bench and flowers of all sorts. One half of the garden looked corrupted and dark with strangled plants and dark shadows. But the other half was fighting back with lovely foliage and bright colors. But Maria was not sure which side was winning.

She roamed around some more until she was quite positive that she was totally lost. She had passed marches and strange trees but now everything looked the same. Not sure what to do she walked around in a circle 6 times before darting off in a random direction. After a few minutes of walking and still being pretty sure she was lost she saw a house up ahead. Thinking it was Shadow Town she moved closer until she came to a small clearing with a little shabby looking house. She moved closer to the house then froze. It felt dark and cold. She felt a chill run up and down her spine but moved closer anyway. Somewhere inside her Maria had the oddest feeling something in the house needed her attention...

Maria touched the wooden door slowly letting her hands feel the lines of age and cracks and smiled. Despite the darkness of the place there was something left pure. Some warm memory's the house had never forgotten and kept close to its heart. Maria lifted her hand from the wood then knocked twice. There was silence. She knocked again. Silence. Without hesitating she grabbed the handle turned it and opened the door as if it were her own home. Walking in Maria's nose was assaulted with all sorts of smells. Sulfur and all sorts of poisons but oddly enough Maria thought they smelt good. She looked around the house at all the bottles and pots and the house in general before her eyes noticed a lump on the floor.

Maria moved over and poked the lump with a stray twig that must have caught in her hair earlier. When it did not move she flipped it over revealing an... Elf? That was definitely an elf... The elf Maria could tell was sick. She wasn't sure with what but she could tell he was fighting it with every last ounce of energy. She blinked and smiled before picking up the elf with great difficulty I might add because of her small skinny build and dragged it over to a chair before sitting the elf down moving over to close to door before she too took a seat and stared at the elf.

While her bright golden eyes stared at the elf her hands kept busy tugging and brushing through her long chocolate brown hair with her fingers. After awhile of staring at the elf she began to sing a gentle song. As she sang softly the air rippled and various objects and things around the room began to change from dull to bright. Things that were broken repaired. And she noticed the sweat on the elf's head dissipate. The song was a lullaby. Simple and childish but with Maria's ability it became a song to fix things that were broken and change colors but mostly to bring hope and strength as if the person had already slept a thousand years of peaceful rest. And being a lullaby it was also something to dispel the darkness, and already the house was feeling warmer and less dark.

β€œI’m sorry,”

The man's warm hand rested on her shoulder and like a plant desperate for light, her black birds fluttered upwards under her skin to touch his. She shivered, keeping herself still so not a millimetre of his skin left hers. It wasn't unusual for her to be intimate towards someone she barely knew - her one night stands were uncountable - but he was different somehow. What she felt was not lust but a burning need to be tucked under his wing. She, herself, was not even aware of this. The agony of restraining her powers eased with the blonde man's hand on her bare skin and her body so close to his.

β€œI would take this as my cue to leave but I have something important I’d like to discuss with you. It might help you better understand why you can do what others can’t,” he said in his smooth voice. Aurora stared at him, a look of puzzlement in her features. Do what others can't? Then, her eyes widened in shock, but it quickly melted into a raised eyebrow and a smirk when he said, β€œIs there anywhere we can go that’s more…private?”

"Most certainly," she replied. Surely, the man did not mean her unusual talent with the Elements. Aurora was over thinking things, of course. All it was was paranoia. Brushing her worried thoughts aside, she considered bringing the man to the Den. It was a terrible, ugly dollhouse filled with abandoned toys but a small nudge in her chest told her he had seen a lot worse. She then decided she would take him there as a test. For reasons unknown to her, she wanted to keep this man and the Den and it's Leftovers were a part of who she was. A part of her he needed to accept.

β€œYou have to trust me.”

Yeah, right. Like hell I will.

THE DEN

The walk to the Den was ordinary; except for Aurora using Air to give herself an extra lift in order to keep up with the tall man's long strides. Then again, using her powers for menial tasks was not a rare or unusual occurrence. The rundown but large mansion was snuggled amongst a madness of floral overgrowth in a part of town rarely anyone ventured to. Aurora had attempted to use her powers of Earth to 'clean up' the building; to fix broken parts of the mansion and get rid of the weeds.

She'd failed miserably.

A significant chunk of the mansion was crumbled beyond repair, allowing one to see everything inside. Barbed wires had been hastily pinned up over the blank space to prevent intruders and animals from wandering in. The section was the very same part of the home Aurora had tried to 'fix' but had instead destroyed. Not that it made much of a difference to the overall ruined appearance of the Den.

Pulling a bobby pin from her hair, Aurora wiggled it in the lock to open the large double doors that were once grand. Aurora hadn't said anything to the man during their entire walk here and she wasn't quite sure what she was doing taking him here. She chuckled to herself as she imagined lovely parents on the other side, readying to greet the first boy she brought home.

The door clicked open, an eerie creek breaking the silence of the world around them. "Careful with the debris," she said before nudging the door wide open.

Inside, a large, traditionally painted family portrait hung from its hinges, threatening to crash into the long abandoned fireplace beneath. The ceilings were as high as a grand cathedral's, spiralling wood work morphing itself into the peeled paint. The ground was in absolute chaos - littered with cigarette buds, blood, grease, needles, drugs and various unknown substances. Aurora always avoided looking at the floor too long, for the last time she did, she found a chunk of rotting human flesh.

"What's your name?" she asked, listening for the breath of one of the Leftovers, finding the mansion empty. Raising her deep blue eyes up to meet the platinum blonde man's of muted green, she said in her ever-breathless voice, "I'm Aurora."

Nudging an empty packet of what looked to be Cocaine, Aurora shut the large door firmly behind her as she unbuttoned her translucent white shirt. She wasn't sure what the man wanted but she assumed it was her body; though he had a strange way of asking for it. Things she could do but others could not? Well, she could think of a good number of things she could do in bed - and elsewhere - that others could not.

Aurora couldn't deny that she'd sold her body before. It had been her primary job before she was spotted by a modelling agency. Before she cleaned up her act and gave up spending her days wasted and nights under a drunk stranger who had money to spare. She wasn't proud of it but she wasn't exactly ashamed, either. Her body was merely that - a shell in which she kept herself. Based on the things she did to herself, she clearly did not care what happened to her 'shell.'

Pressing herself up against the stranger, she pulled him by his shirt towards the battered couch, flipping him around so he fell on his back. Aurora leaned over him, holding her body up by the elbows she'd rested above his head. Her waist-length hair cascaded downwards to touch his skin.

What am I doing?

She had a strange, beautiful man under her in a disgusting, terrible place he most likely didn't want to be in. Aurora pushed herself back and stood next to the couch. Running her fingers through her straight hair, she walked briskly towards the mahogany doors, resting a hand on the handle. "I'm sorry for bringing you here," she said softly, staring at the brown wood. Her cheeks flushed with embarrassment. What had she been thinking, bringing a well-dressed, perfect man like himself to a irreparable place like this? Did she expect him to welcome all these shattered pieces of people with open arms? Did she think he was something special? That's right, she hadn't been thinking at all.

"You can go."

Natsu Williams

Still humming softly, Natsu washed the dishes until they were squeaky clean and put them on the counter. He wondered what he should do for tonight. Maybe he should just have gone with the second option and slept early so that he could have enough strength to do his work. He had worked hard lately after all. Drying his hands on a white towel nearby, Natsu jumped when he heard a shattering noise behind him.

"!"

Natsu let a surprised cry leave his lips as he turned around to only face a complete stranger. Using both his hands to muffle his startled shout, Nat tried to calm his racing heart down as he observed the stranger with wary eyes. The stranger was a young man, perhaps in his late teens or early twenties. He was slightly taller than Nat, his body was in perfect condition - lean and muscular though not overly so. His skin was pale as though he hadn't bathed under the sunlight for a long time. His hair was as dark as the night sky and straight, unlike his own wavy's golden locks. However, what drew Nat's attention was his eyes. They had two different colors - the left eye was red while the other one was silver. They were deep and mysterious like they had gone through a lot. His facial expression was neutral though surrounding him was a dark aura that made Natsu feel really vulnerable under his unwavering stare.

'What a hottie!' That tiny, annoying voice inside Nat's head giggled girlishly while he was 'checking out' his supposed opponent. 'No, he's not... Maybe he's a robber or something' He whispered softly, scolding the little perverted voice and imagined himself locking it behind a steel door. 'Oh, come on, dude... admit that you find him hot already!' That little voice still rang clearly inside his head and Nat tried to berate it 'No, I don't find him hot or anything!' The voice chuckled and teased him again 'Whatever man...'

Finally being able to shut that inner voice up, Natsu turned his full attention on the intruder, a small part of his mind secretly agreed with his inner voice as his gaze lingered just a few seconds longer than necessary on the young man's handsome face. He torn his eyes away from the mysterious man as he tried to find something to fight back, to defense himself. Unfortunately for Natsu, he had left his journal on the desk which was out of his reach this moment. Turning back into the sink, Nat gripped the nearest frying pan he could find and raised it in front of himself, trying to appear brave. The frying pan was doing a very poor job at assisting him. It was still dripping with water and yellow soap. Obviously, fate didn't want him to be intimidating... or maybe it was just because he was standing in front of such a young man.

However, Natsu wouldn't back down without a fight. He could feel his legs began to tremble slightly under the tension and his hands which were holding the pan were shaking slightly. Nat felt like his body could snap into two under this pressure. Gulping, the young journalist tried to keep his voice steady as well as he could... which, once again, he was failing terribly. "W-who are you?" Nat squeaked out weakly, the fear made it harder to breath and he felt as if someone was squeezing his heart tightly.

Opened his mouth again, Nat tried to speak louder "W-why are y-you here?" Looking around to find an escape, Nat noted in depression that his only exist was on the left side of this man and the other way to get out of this room was to jump down from the fifth floor. And on top of that, he was standing in a corner...Natsu was stuck. His mind began to race, imagine things after things what this dark man would do to him. Maybe he was trying to steal something. However, he would obviously find out that Natsu wasn't rich by any means. Would this man try to... to attack him? Or rape him like some violent crime movies? Would he kill him? He didn't really want to die. At least, not like this. He had even promised his Mom that he would call her later... he couldn't be killed like this.

Natsu had never tried to be anyone's enemy and he had always been a quiet boy even when he was younger so why? What did this man want from him? Looking at the shattering pieces of glass underneath the man's boots, another question came to Natsu's mind. How could this man get in here? His hands were empty and he didn't appear to bring any weapons, not even a knife or a gun. He couldn't obviously get inside Nat's apartment using the front door, Natsu would have heard something if that had really happened. So... how?

"H-How can you b-break into my a-a-apartment?" Natsu finally said, closing his eyes briefly, silently wondered what he had done today to offend God so much that he had given him this kind of luck.

Agarwaen Gaer

It was the lullaby and the shrieking noise that had woken Agarwaen up. He opened his eyes tiredly only to cover them in pain, his vision was blurry at best. Trying to shake off the dizziness, the elf silently wondered why he had heard the beautiful song and why his darker self was trying so hard to get free. However, thanks to the poisons he had drunk earlier, its attempts could be ignored so as long as he focused on his surrounding.

Agarwaen's hands automatically pushed his body up, the strange song was still ringing in his ears. This was new. Usually, if the demon wanted to torture him or something, it wouldn't choose such calming song and usually when he woke up was the time the nightmares ended. So, how was he still hearing the song?

He blinked, still in a daze as he saw a tiny figure sitting in front of him. She was young, he noted with subtle surprise. Not many young ones were still around here after 'that' had happened. Her warm eyes stared at him, unlike the usual blank stares he often received from the corrupted in town. She was singing, too so that meant he wasn't dreaming. his bright mind connected the spots almost immediately and his emerald eyes widened dramatically as he recognized who she really was.

Covering her mouth to prevent the girl from singing and drawing attention to them, Agarwaen whispered urgently "chosen one, please be quiet. You are drawing a lot of unwanted attention!" Walking to the front door that almost never locked since the day he was infected, the elf took out a heavy chain and carefully locked the door, peering his eyes out warily, watching if any wandering Underlings had come near his house. Thankfully, nothing seemed to be disturbed by the stun the Chosen one before him just pulled.

"Chosen one, where is your guardian? Why are you here alone? Please listen to me, you mustn't continue to use your magic. They can sense it!" Agarwaen spoke again, all exhaustion suddenly evaporated as he stared at the hope of this land - a truly uncorrupted human being - so tiny and looking so weak and at the same time, had such pure magic that she could drive the monster inside him away if only temporary. Maybe not all was lost after all. He just hoped she wouldn't be the only one to help them. If that was the case, she would have many, many patients to cure.

Luka struggled with himself to find the right words to say. He already started off with a bad impression and didn't want to make things any worse. Then again, there really was no way to explain the situation without sounding like a weird psycho to the blonde. His brows furrowed slightly as he observed his chosen, then raised them with the boy picked up a fry pan. Natsu seemed so fragile for young man his age, but Luka did acknowledged his small bravery in trying to protect himself. Though, the weapon of choice needed a little work.

"I'm not here to hurt you," Luka finally spoke, "in fact, it's the opposite." His muscles were relaxed showing no sign of attacking, let alone moving but didn't expect Natsu to believe him. Nobody will in such situation. Even so, he continued, "My name if Luka Stryker and I am your guardian. It's a rather long story but I'll explain everything on our way to Nevermore."

He had the same old neutral look on his face, yet his eyes showed nothing but sincerity. "I know this is all too sudden, but won't you please come with me? There are others who may already be waiting for us."

Luka took a small step forward, closing their distance just a little. He smiled-- a rare sight indeed-- to break the tension a little. "By the way, you can put the pan down now." As for how he got into the apartment... Natsu will probably understand once Luka explained to him the whole situation concerning Nevermore and Earth. He kept his gaze on his chosen, waiting for a reaction.

Maria blinked when the Elf opened his eyes she was about to speak when his hand clamped over her mouth. She mumbled into his hand then watched him dart over the the door. "So ummm... Hello to you too sleeping beauty?" She stood up awkwardly and watched him. "Chosen??? Guardian??? WHAT???" She stared at the elf confused. She could hear the urgency in his voice but she was not sure where it was coming from. She looked at the door calmly. "Well your making about as much sense as the person who invented the jack-in-the-box... I came here alone... I've always been alone...." She felt small and confused compared to the elf who seemed huge and well much more filled in on things.

She sat quietly before gently tracing over the wood of the table with her small gentle fingers. "if you could clarify a few things for me... Where am I? Who are you? What's with the shadowy things that are creepy but polite? And what are you sick with?" As she listed off her questions calmly she made note of them on her finger and stared into the emerald green eyes of the elf. "Sorry for the questions... But this is very VERY knew to me..." The tension in her voice rattled the air and shattered a vase. "oops." She frowned and gave the elf and apologetic smile. She wasn't confused about where her trust for the elf came from. It was coming from the need to trust him and the fact that she knew somehow that he needed her help.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Aw, I'm sorry Aradia. Listen guys, I shall try to post soon, hopefully sometime this week. :/ Sorry I've been gone. Again. Working full-time and having a role play just up out of the blue take off where it hasn't even gotten on its feet the last ten times I posted it was a little surprising, so I've been focusing a lot of attention on that. >_< Again, so sorry, but I promise I'll get more active here!

So long as this hasn't died while I wasn't watching...

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Let's all take a moment of silence for my computer β€” whose condition is still unknown. Haha. I'm sorry guys. :u I'll try to crank out a post soon, even if I have to do it on mobile. I've only got limited time on my sister's laptop as it is (especially since I have to bargain for laptop use).

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Just in case anyone thinks I'm dead or that I've abandoned this roleplay - I most certainly have not haha. I'm just waiting for Aradia to post :)

We must all form a meditative circle and pray for the safe return of Aradia's child - her computer.

This roleplay will live no matter what! We love our characters too much hehe.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Where has everyone else gone XP
Anyways, I just wanted to let you know - Sarah will stop being such a pain soon enough haha XD.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Sorry it took so long, but I replied! And now...Serenity, Morgan, Tallen, and Sarah are all in the same place. Yay for interaction! :D

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

I've brought news that I can't decide is good or bad yet~! I'm watching the Incredibles. X3

Erm but that's not the news. My uncle has told me via text messaging that he is bringing my laptop to the computer repair shop today. I'm going to form my own little prayer circle that my laptop is fixable. My uncle assures me that it is but he might just trying to be positive. Whatever the case, if it can't be fixed (which would be the worst case scenario and end with my ugly sobs :u) then I'll have to get a new one. DX And that would take an annoying amount of tome because of schedules and stuff. Plus backing up my hard drive and kms. Sorry! I'm rambling. Ohp.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Huzzah! Finally got a post in :) And I'm actually pretty happy with it. Have fun with Sarah...should be an interesting post to read XD

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Haha, well, I wasn't goign to do anything with my phone, I just wanted to make sure I had it with me ^_^" Turns out it was in my purse...

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

I'm sorry twili, i love you to death, but dang! shame you you! i almost got rear ended today for the same reason. The girl behind me was watching her phone instead of the car in front of her. I had to slow down because the car in front of me was turning, the car behind me didnt notice and i had to speed up and almost cliped the car in front of me as he turned. =p

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Haha, thanks guys. You guys really are something else. I am alright, just a minor burn/bruise on my left arm from the airbag. And I'm working on a post in my head, I'll probably get it up tonight at work. :) I really do appreciate the concern though.

It was completely my fault too, I looked down to find my phone, and when I looked up, there was a car in front of me and the light was red. Bam, rear-ended the guy in front of me. Damage to my car, nothing to his, cause i hit his tow-hitch. :/ Oh well, such is life, shit happens.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Tch, what a wuss. Can't even post after a car accident... ^.^ Just kidding, of course! Tis' good that you are alright my friend!

I'm so sorry. :c Are you ok? Thank goodness no one was harmed; however, I don't blame you for being shaken up in the least bit! Like Layla said, you were in a traumatic experience. Take your time! There is absolutely no rush. In fact, I can't really post at the moment either. So it should be fine. I'm just really glad that you're ok and, if you want to talk about it, you can always PM me. I don't mind. <3

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Twil, that must have been horribly traumatic. We're glad to see you're okay. At least, as okay as someone who'd just been in a car accident could be. Take all the time you need to post, twil. Are you feeling better now? (Emotionally, that is.) I can't begin to imagine what it must have been like for you.

I can't even imagine. That's honestly terrible. They obviously don't know what thy're talking about. Or fail to see that constructive criticism is more benefical to someone versus tearing them down.

But! I thought I should let you all know. While I was working on a reply for another roleplay, my laptop shut off. I tried to turn it on again and, for a few minutes, it was turning on fine. But then it shut off again. It's like I get to the welcome to windows and login stuff and then it will just go black. :| Something is obviously wrong with it and I no longer rely on a battery (since it doesn't charge) and use a plug (but that seems to be working since the computer does turn on for a bit) so I don't know what's wrong. :c I'm going to try and convince my uncle to take me to a computer shop tomorrow (since it's late here) but my biggest worry is losing everything on my laptop.

Eh. :|

I can still do stuff from my cell phone but it's doubtful I'll be able to use my cousin or sister's laptops. And it's kind of difficult to do much on mobile. DX

I'm really sorry. I hope it will be fixed tomorrow but I can't be sure. I really wanted to reply and I don't want to keep you guys waiting but I don't think I'll be able to today. :c I honestly feel like the worst person in the world right now.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

I think im going to make a corrupt if thats okay?

and i hope my last post was okay.

Re: Welcome To Shadow Town

Let's blame the hummingbird and say it was meant to summon them. Aha. I was kind of going for that anyway. c:

I think Gemini will stay for a little while then. Because she'll just hover around her and hum while she screams. Or maybe throw a little grass at her. Or maybe dump a bucket of water over her head.

Silver still kind of wants to strangle her, ngl. He was giving off the dark vibes.

Of course not, Black Death! <3 I can't even imagine anyone doing that. It would be awful.

I'm kind of wondering how to go with this post. Don't kill me if it isn't as long as my usual posts. :c I'm sort of still trying to piece together how they all meet and, since Gemini is currently taking over Silver's body, the post will be a little more upbeat and random.

As opposed to Silver's kind of serious way of thinking about stuff. Boy overcomplicates his life, ok.
