POWERS
it was initially thought that Leonie was only in possession of her clairempathetic abilities, which instigated a far less than enthusiastic reaction from the young cambion. However, it was soon after discovered that Leonie could in fact mimic the magical abilities of other supernatural folk, replicating their powers and using them herself. Leonie needs to have been in at least a five meter radius of the person to mimic their abilities, although after she has first initiated the replication, she can distance herself from the source however she likes. The mimicry eventually wears off, although the amount of time is rather random, varying from person to person. Sometimes she can wield someone's abilities for a week or two, other times only several hours. Her most loathed aspect of her mimicry would have to be the empathetic side of it, as once she has mimicked someone's abilities, she creates an empathetic bond with them, and can sometimes be flooded with their emotions, and memories. As someone that hates to get too involved with people, this particular facet irks her to no end. Not to mention the very rare occasion when the door opens both ways, and they see into her head as well.

LIKES
Leonie is a pleasure seeker, a woman that strives for sources of delectation, be it in something as simple as a spoonful of chocolate ice cream or a day of thrill-seeking and extreme sports. It is not rare for a demon to crave adrenaline, and in this case, Leonie is not out of the norm, rarely able to find something that exhilarates her quite so much. This being said, there are sides to Leonie that crave more placid raptures; simplistic, quiet sources of joy as opposed to the more raucous diversions her race is renowned for. She enjoys star gazing, albeit hating the cliche of it, and can name the constellations with ease, whilst naming some of her own while she's at. She likes rainy days, and tends to spend her time out in it, rather than watching it from indoors, letting the rain soak through her clothes and leave stains of precipitation on her skin. She has an affinity for animals, and in terms of people, prefers to keep the company of those in possession of a good sense of humor and a quick wit.
DISLIKES
a creature of candid sensibilities, Leonie rarely shies away from admitting her disdain, and truth be told, many things fall into her personal list of aversions. To name a but a few, she avoids sea food like the plague, and cannot stand the ridiculously over-the-top soap operas and reality shows that human beings seem to be such suckers for. She is no fan of politics, and is well aware of wealth's nasty tendency to outweigh and overpower the likes of justice. Although she has a knack for acting differently around the 'right' people, Leonie has a very short patience for those possessing irksome traits. A number of examples include conceit, idiocy, and worst of all, pretension. She absolutely despises being mocked, or looked down upon, and is quick to reject anything insipid -at least by her tastes- be it occasion, situation, or person. She dislikes being told what to do, even more so in the face of any prejudice.
STRENGTHS
Leonie is a prideful being, but she isn't the sort to parade her strengths. She prefers to keep what she's best at under wraps, to savor the cases in which she is superior in ability or skill with a silent smirk rather than a deriding proclamation. She is a rare combination of brains and brawn, with an admitted tendency to resort to the latter far sooner than necessary. She is a skilled combatant, using a combination of street-fighting, jujitsu, and judo to make a fighting style that helps to make her as formidable an adversary as possible despite her typical position as the lighter, physically weaker opponent. Truth be told, her greatest strength lies in her acumen and wit. She is remarkably quick-witted, with a sharp mind more suited to dolling out snarky badinage than sagacious enlightenment. She is a skilled liar, and has a knack for knife work.
WEAKNESSES
simply said, Leonie has more flaws than she'd care to admit, and they all have the nasty tendency to reveal themselves at the most inopportune of moments. Due to her clairempathy, as well as her own emotional wounds, she is rather abrasive. She is rather impulsive, and can allow her pride to get the better of her. Threats to her brother are an easy way to make her relent in any given situation, and she is a dunce in terms of the arts, despite her insistence as a child that she was the female Freddie Mercury waiting to happen.
QUIRKS & HABITS
tends to speak in sarcasm, especially when her patience is being tried ; hates the sound of ticking clocks ; has a crescent-shaped scar above her right shoulder blade, but doesn't remember how she got it ; can hold her drink ; smokes occasionally, but not habitually ; hums to herself, particularly when feeling pensive ; sometimes gets accused of having an incestuous relationship with her twin brother, does not dispel rumors due to lack of commitment ; cannot cook for shit
FEARS
in her eyes and the eyes of many others, fear is another word for weakness. Fear provides a chink in one's armor, a target to fire at. As a result, she keeps her fears to herself, and is stoic about them unless faced with their physical appearance in her life. Her greatest fear of course is losing her brother, the person she is closest to. She isn't sure exactly how she'd cope if she did lose whom, but seldom few doubt the fact that heads would roll. She is also claustrophobic, although she can sustain spaces as large as elevators, for the most part.

PERSONALITY
in many senses, Leonie could be thought of as cryptic as her twin brother, what with her polarizing traits and her oft shrouded thoughts. However, unlike Téo, Leonie doesn't particularly care for pleasing and pandering. Whereas Matéo can shift between two polarized personalities, or carry out vindictive actions whilst maintaining a shockingly summery image, Leonie stands on another spectrum entirely. Her traits blend into an occasionally irrational mess, a kaleidoscope of emotional oddities and aspects that often paint her as a picture of peculiarity. She lights up intrigue in people, for whilst she would certainly prefer acceptance over rejection in her father's court, she has learnt to settle with ostracism in what she considers the best possible way.
Quite simply, by upsetting the system, and inducing negative emotions in her dear rebuffers. Like Matéo, Leonie has a talent for upsetting people all whilst maintaining a seeming innocence, as though her aggravating behavior is all 'in the name of fun', or her words 'mean no harm'. She prefers to avoid politics and nobles alike, finding them to be as dull and unenjoyable as each other, but when she is made to be a part of one or the other, her image of perfection is typically the last thing on her mind. She'd much rather watch her pompous company worm around uncomfortably in their fanciful attires than have them look at her in adoration. Of course, she is aware that the latter is hardly a liable option, considering her heritage, but nonetheless, Leonie rarely avoids carrying herself with pride, buoyed by the knowledge that, despite her apparently dour roots, her dignity has remained intact.
Fiercely independent, Leonie rarely turns to others for help, preferring to try and fail on her own, despite her own acknowledgement that such a mindset is hardly logical. This trait is further instilled by her difficulty in building trust in others, and her dysfunctional form of self-preservation, which has ultimately resulted in few to no real friends or loved ones. Whilst her loyalty is certainly more reliable than her twin's, such a thing is near-impossible to build, as she typically carries with her a determination not to fall in love, platonic or romantic, out of a hidden concern for rejection or abandonment.
Unlike Matéo, who hides an oddly manipulative side, Leonie is excessively blunt at times, this increasing when her patience is tried. She possesses a natural charm in social situations when her aim isn't to rile as many arrogant pricks as possible.
Extremely witty, Leonie is well-humored and well-spoken, in possession of a silver tongue that spins words like silk, or knots them liked barbed wire, depending their intended purpose. She enjoys a cleverly exchanged banter no matter the occasion, and her acumen is truly something to behold. She is far more cunning than she gives herself credit for, and oddly prideful considering her many insecurities. Sharp-tongued and courageous, she is as stubborn as she is clever, and will seldom allow herself to be pressured or pushed to do or agree with something that does not suit her personal ideals. Unexpectedly roguish, Leonie hides her calmer, more delicate traits behind a smirking wall, armed to the teeth with witty raillery. And she hasn't had anyone break down the wall in an inextricably long time.

HISTORY
Renee had always been pretty. Even as a baby, she'd been smooth-faced, fair, with wide eyes and a trembling smile. Born into a home that was less broken and more shattered beyond repair, she became a runaway at eighteen, fleeing to New York with a single suitcase and a ziplock bag containing four years savings. Taking up a job waitressing at a middling bar, Renee spent the next two years in and out of relationships. She was well-liked for her free-spiritedness, her ability to smile through any crisis, and to drink any overtly arrogant bastard under the table.
She met him at the bar, and was immediately charmed by his smooth words and handsome face. Their affair was a brief one, a flickering flame that he deftly blew out within the month, disappearing into the night as suddenly as he'd appeared. When she discovered her pregnancy, he was already long gone, and she had no idea how to find him. Not that he had any intention nor desire to be found.
Deciding to raise the baby on her own, Renee took on two jobs, saving whatever she didn't need.
Of course, if she'd been aware of what her children were, she might have acted differently.
And an abortion would have saved her.
The thing about demons is they truly are different from humans, and birthing a creature of demonic origins is certainly no easy feat. Perhaps if it had not been twins inside her, Renee might have survived. But there were. And she didn't.
As a result, Renee's estranged parents were contacted, and given the offer of raising the children, else they be thrown into the foster system. The parents, despite initial reluctance, were encouraged to accept them by the guilt of losing their daughter without speaking for years. And so the two raised the kids with a similar emotional detachment and controlling manner that had lost them their first child, clearly not having learnt from their mistakes. They were distant, but tried to force an affection that was rather obviously suited to neither of them. Material goods became a replacement for emotional care. But they were a family. Albeit a mildly dysfunctional one.
It was at eleven that Leonie and Teo learnt of their non-human status, and at twenty that they were gifted a pair of mysterious 'bloodstones', and with them extraordinary powers. Following the discovery, they were 'welcomed' into the noble ranks, their father suddenly willing to acknowledge them.
And now... here they are.
