The Ticketmaster

I'm not a bad guy. I just don't like when people break the rules.

Description

Please Welcome To The Stage: The Ticketmaster
Image
I was born as Unknown but, you can call me The Ticketmaster.
I was born on Unknown and in the year 2012 I’ll be Old.
I really love the cirque, following the rules, and watching the shows.
I can’t stand when people break my rules, try to break their contracts, and when the Ringmaster gets too cocky.
I’ll never tell anyone but what really sends me into a panic is people breaking their contracts and leaving the cirque.
Don’t get me wrong I like you and everything but I’m asexual, I hope you’re okay with that.
Some say that when they look into my eyes they see
emptiness but, all I see is brown.
My lack of hair makes rainbows cry with its baldness.
I got into the cirque because
I just love the show. So, now I’m the Ticketmaster and I don't want to leave.
What do I think about the Ringmaster? Ha! I think she’s
a good leader and a little pushy at times.

So begins...

Before the Ringmaster had finished her sentence a tall dark man was leaning against the trunk of the same tree. A tall tattered hat sat on his bald head as he pushed his hands into his pockets. “Oh?” He glanced to his side unable to see her since he was behind the tree. “Who did you have in mind?” His words lingered for a moment as he considered her request. He was nearing the same decision some time ago. Perhaps they had the same person in mind. It would surely make things easier, however, if they didn't it would only serve to give him something to pass the time.

“Also,” A smile pulled across his face as his ears perked a bit at the sound of movement, “have you been taking favorites?” He was grinning now, “The freaks need to remain just that, Shaelynn,” He was simply teasing her at this point. He rather enjoyed this Ringmaster and she had lasted a lot longer then the last. She was stern but didn't abuse her power, yet.

He heard the glutinous freak approach and his eyes darted in its direction. He didn't speak nor did he move. He just waited for the Ringmaster to deal with the creature. She had allowed some odd beings into the cirque but, he had no qualms with that. He quite enjoyed the current lineup and only wanted to improve it. Improving it by keeping everyone in line and in top shape. Scaring them into following the rules seemed to work quite well and it was a bit fun too. Scaring people was his job after all. It was apart of his sales pitch when he actually worked at the ticket stand. Scare them so much that they want more. Not that he wanted it to be a horror show. He simply wanted to entertain the masses.

((OOC: Check the OOC thread if you haven't already))

Clearing his throat calmly the Ticketmaster stepped from behind the tree and grinned darkly at the girls. “Shaelynn,” His eyes landed on her and his voice lowered so that the others wouldn't hear, “I'll handle the harpy. You can give her your own punishment when I'm done.” He said already knowing who the troubled freak was. “You make sure that this girl is at the show.” He ordered before tipping his hat to the girls and walked off. He hadn't had a Hypnosis in the cirque for quite sometime. Perhaps he could draw out her powers during the show.

“Ms. Victoria,” He spoke flatly as he stood over the harpy as she sat there, disguised as a human. Her disguise was weak to say the least. “Come with me.” He watched her leap to her feet with panic written all over her face.

“Wha- Did I do something?” She asked as if she didn't know that her actions would hold consequences. It took her a few moments of silences to admit her wrongs, “I know that I caused a scene but...” She rambled on and on and to be completely honest he simply didn't care.

“Come with me Victoria.” He ordered sharply and began to walk. He could hear her shoes crunch on the gravel and dirt as he led her to the trailers where not many people were. “Please, change.” He ordered again.

“Wha... what are you going to do?” She asked as she looked into his cold eyes. He didn't respond and when she didn't remove her guise he lifted his hand and a pain flooded through her. Her skin rippled and her clothing tore as she was forced to transform.

“I should do this in the tent so that you can be an example,” He spoke calmly as he reached into his jacket and pulled out a eight inch blade.

Victoria knew exactly what he was going to do and her heart began to race, “If you clip my wings then I can't perform!” She cried as she hugged her wings tightly against her body. “I wont be able to fly...” Tears left her horrified eyes as the last freedom she had was being taken away from her.

“Well,” He twirled the dagger around in his hand casually, “I would never do anything to compromise the show. You know that. Everyone knows that.” His eyes narrowed some as he began to poke the razor sharp tip of the blade with his index finger. “You'll be able to glide. That much I will leave you.” She took a step back and then was frozen. “Now, hold still.” The harpy let out an ear piercing cry when he jerked her arm away from her torso and began slicing away at her feathers in a seemingly random fashion.

“There you go.” He stepped away with a hand full of feathers that he was going to take to the costume trailer to be recycled. “You look great.” He teased darkly as the harpy held out her wings and cried. They looked the same from behind but in the front it was clear that she was missing quite a lot of her feathers.

Victoria quickly fled from the trailers and went into the animal tent. She didn't sense the little boy in there with the lion. She assumed she was alone with the animals. She heard a low growl and looked up at the lion and then besides his cage was a sleeping boy. She tried to stay quiet as she slid out of the tent and just kept her face covered with her wings as she sat outside the tent. She had completely forgotten about wanting to ask the Ringmaster if she could change her act. Not like she could confidently do her act anyway. She couldn't fly. Gliding would only keep her from crashing into the ground, she wouldn't be able to pull Caspar out of the audience without some practice or until her feathers grew back.

Dezi and Ian shared a horrified and worried stare towards Victoria. Dezi's related more to the terrified expression. She already knew who had caused her to be in such dissaray and annoyance. The Ringmaster. She shuddered to herself and eyed Toan now, putting the scene out of her head before they reached the tent and she watched Victoria leave.
"Poor bugger." Her eyebrows lowered in a shared compassion for the girl, although she did not like Ian, she could not help but to feel sorry for her. She couldn't imagine the horribleness of loosing her own wings. She touched them lightly and they fluttered as if they weren't attached to her body and had a mind of their own.
"Sorry, spacing out." She told Toan, focusing on him again. It seemed like everyday in the Cirque had something crazy happening at least a couple of times throughout the evening, not including the shows.
"He will be find with it, I'm sure. I will go and talk with Shaelynn." She smiled at him and patted him on the head, then glanced towards Quiller.
She liesurly walked towards the cage, putting her hands on two bars and pushing her face between the iron.
"It's time to wake up, baby." She called to the smaller boy. She smiled and watched as Lucian slowly opened his large eyes and looked rather sleepy himself. The giant cat yawned and rested his head on his paws again, not disturbed by the prescense of the boy in the slightest.
Dezi turned back around to Toan and nodded to him.
"Yes, she can be a bit difficult to track down, but it should be fairly easy for me." She half smiled, half smirked before lifting off of the ground as her wings began flapping vigerously. She was nearly to the top of the tent, her eyes scanning over the whole of the area and found it to be empty of the ringmaster so she soared out of the tent and outside towards the setting sun, going lower to view the grounds before finally spotting her not far off under a tree. Two smaller human girls were heading in after she left as she landed lightly in front of Shae.
She gave her a small head bow and smiled.
"Hello, love. I have another question, if you're not too terribly busy. If so, it can wait until later and we could try the idea I have in mind in the next show."
Ian stared after Victoria. He felt really bad for her, but did not let his thoughts linger on the poor girl. There wasn't anything that he could do to change what had happened.
He sighed, then as he turned saw Casper running up to him. He was slightly taken by surprise, thinking before he didn't want him around. He gave him a lopsided grin when he thanked him and lifted his arm up and over to rub the back of his head while still giving that goofy smile.
"Hey, it was no problem. You obviously needed some help, but the real thanks should go- Victoria? I think she went...." He was interrupted yet again by a series of manic laughing sprees. He raised his brows skeptically, and in turn, not understanding the joke. He let his eyes wander to the ground before it was just too awkward for him to stand there while the puppeteer laughed like crazy and he didn't make a peep.
He scooted back slightly before turning around, sighing again and dropping his arm to his side.
He found Kurtis and was glad that he had come back around.
"Hey! So..." He glanced back to see Casper still enjoying whatever he had missed out on and he turn sheepishly back to the magician. "that advice? And it's not like I can just...flat out say it either...This person's...different to say the least." He let out a large breath and Kurtis's eyes with his own violet orbs. They seemed to sparkle with the hope that he was asking the right person.

The Ticketmaster took his spot at the public entrance to the main tent behind a podium. “Come, come! Join us!” His grin was wide and dark as people stared at him unsure of if they wanted to enter or not. “We have many marvelous acts awaiting inside. Two dollars for children and five for adults.” He said as people handed him their money in exchange for a red and yellow ticket with the Cirque's information on it.

He scanned everyone who entered the tent looking for anyone who could possibly make the show better. His smile never faded and only grew when children would ask him questions. “Why is your skin gray? Are you a freak?” A teenager asked and with that same toothy smile the Ticketmaster's eye's darted around before looking down at his gray skin. He rubbed his clawed hands over the skin of his arm for just a moment before giving the kid a shrug.

“Possibly.” He responded and watched the kid shiver a bit before going inside with his group. “Come in people!” He shouted to the crowd as he removed his hat, revealing a very bald head with an egg sitting on it. “If you want to witness the unknown, quick, get to your seats!” The egg rolled off of his head and shattered on the ground before a small bunny rolled out. “We have magicians! Acrobats!” The bunny looked around confused before the hat was lowered to the ground and it quickly jumped inside, “Ventriloquist! Lions, horses, elephants! Freaks and monsters you've never even heard of!” He turned the hat open-side down and nothing fell out. He reached in and pulled out another egg and handed it to a young woman, “Take care of this little guy. He's incredibly smart and well mannered.” He gave the bunny to her before he returned to taking the citizens money. The line of people didn't seem to stop. His earlier advertisement must have worked. He liked to send clowns out around town to do small stunts in order to attract people to the cirque.

“Budget met.” He smiled to his self. Money was never the purpose of the cirque but, it helped pay for food for everyone along with keeping the maintenance up to his and Shaelynn's high standards. The cirque, however, was purely for his own entertainment and selfish desires. He needed the talents and freaks to do their job tonight and scare the living daylights out of these people. His eyes narrowed and he peaked into the tent for a moment seeing the seats fill. They'll have a full house by the time the line was gone. “Hurry! The show begins in just five minutes!” He called down the line as people pushed to get inside.

Kurtis had a big grin on his face as he exited his trailer and headed towards backstage to drop the box of things he was carrying. He was going to have quite a bit of fun at tonights performance, but he knew that he would have to watch himself and not get too excited. The last time Kurtis was really excited for a show, he sawed a lady in half and refused to put her back together until he sawed her into 9 different pieces. Needless to say, many people were very unnerved, and he was pretty sure the RingMaster wasn't happy about it. Never the less, he had a wonderful show lined up tonight, and he was dressed for the part. He put on a black and white striped top hat, with jacket and pants to match with the pinstripe theme. This was his a little more eccentric look, since looking like a warlock in the middle of nowhere wasn't the most appealing. Now a guy that looked like he had a stripe complex, that was interesting, at least to him anyway.

He dropped all of his equipment off, which included 2 swords (No stabbing this time! Phew...) and a very large, venomous spider. And that was just for the opening. Then he had some fruit, his classic saw and sawcut box, his shrinking box and he even felt like bringing out his silhouette moon (light is cast on it, and the person behind looks like a shadow.) He was so giddy for tonight's performance, he didn't even badmouth a single person, make any wise cracks or even taunt the clowns while he was there. That was rare.

He then, breaking the protocol of not showing an actors face before the performance, proceeded through the main tent (the big one where everybody is sitting, if you weren't sure) towards the main gate where the Ticketmaster was standing. He had two reasons, really, for going to the entrance. The first was to scout out possible people he could ask to go on stage. He didn't want to be unprepared, and just ask any random person, No, he had to pick a variety of people, some that looked like extreme logical people, while others he needed people about his own age or younger that were still amazed by illusions. The second reason was to ask the Ticket master a series of serious questions. The first was about that Cadenza character, which Kurtis was getting bad vibes off of, and the second was mandatory for him:

He had to ask how graphic he was allowed to go ever since that incident, which had been quoted earlier. Ever since then, he had to ask how violent and graphic he could go, and even how illegal he was allowed to be. It was a real pain in the ass, but he had to, since his levels of giddiness sometimes exceeded the legal limit, which ended him doing something... illegal. You know, fraud, kidnapping - wasn't his fault the last time he made somebody disappear, they were really snotty - the works.

He passed a teen girl whom he had heard of before, and instantly picked her for one of his acts, and then passed a two teenagers (they would be Kaylee and Sara.) who seemed very enthusiastic. A small smile crept to his lips and he remembered their faces for later. He finally made his way to the Ticketmaster, and tipped his top hat to him before asking in a dull question, which he had to say quietly enough that the crowds couldn't hear him "So, how graphic am I allowed to go tonight? Are there a bunch of 4 year olds like that last time which I will apparently 'scar for life'?" His tone was so bored, he almost felt himself getting tired.

The Ticketmaster nodded his head to the young girl, Marie and continued handing out tickets. He spotted another future addition to the cirque and his grin grew. “Enjoy the show.” He handed both of the girls a ticket, “Be sure to stick around afterwords to meet with some of the talents,” He spoke so that only Kayleen could hear. Then he continued handing tickets out to the other guest.

“You know better then to show your face outside of the tent,” He spoke to Kurtis without looking at him keeping the smile planted on his face. He was almost like a Cheshire cat since it was rare that the smile ever faded. His eyes darted in Kurtis' direction when he spoke. He remained quite while the warlock spoke to him seeming to ignore him as he continued to greet guests. “There aren't many children this evening,” He watched the line dwindle down to just a few people. “You may be as graphic as you wish to,” He turned his body to face Kurtis, “However,” He held up his index finger, “humans must leave the stage intact and alive. Also,” A small chuckle left his throat, “Anyone you make vanish must return...” His words trailed off as his smile grew even more, if that was even possible. “The girl... Kayleen,” He turned his eyes to the sky as he thought. “Make her vanish and bring her to me after your performance.” He ordered the man darkly. It wasn't like he'd allow him refuse his offer. He simply needed to get the girl away from her little friend.

The Ticketmaster returned to taking the tickets from the last few people in line before closing the money box. “Anything else? We have to start the show.” His smile shrunk down a bit as he waited for the magician to speak. He knew that he wasn't done with the questions. The Ticketmaster didn't care, he just wanted to get the show going so that he could figure out a way to get Marie to join the cirque. “You,” He glanced over to a clown, “make sure that all of the freaks are in their cages... Can't have them running around loose can we?” The clown gave a shiver before running off to make sure that all of the freaks where locked away.

You know better then to show your face outside of the tent, Kurtis was getting scolded again, but he didn't mind it. The Ticketmaster may scold him, but the Scarlet Magician was useful for one real reason: Anybody that the Ticketmaster wanted in the show, he just made them disappear and have them reappear later for the Ticketmaster to get them to sign the contract. Grim and dirty business, but it at least gave him something to look forward to. Though that usually meant that the newbies that he made disappear hated his guts for the first few months, if not longer. He sighed out of annoyance and listened to his words. The great part about the Ticketmaster had to be his smile, Kurtis thought to himself smuggly. May creep most people out, but it is pretty sweet, and the sneakiness of it all! Reeks with it.. “There aren't many children this evening, You may be as graphic as you wish to.

Kurtis was pumped. He didn't have to worry about frightening little children with his spider, or scarring toddlers with his effects. He was totally ready for this, until the Ticket master just had to go and say “However, humans must leave the stage intact and alive. Also, Anyone you make vanish must return... Kurtis made a face. He just had to go and remind him of when he made that one lady disappear when he got too excited. Damn it, he really hated being reminded of that, cause ever since then less people came to the cirque, he had to change his name slightly - his stage name used to be the Crimson Magician - and he was lectured for hours about it.

"No fun..." He mumbled to himself, especially about how the humans had to be left intact when they left. He once had a very annoying man believe that he could make his hand return after he left. Kurtis then proceeded to vanish and not come back, making the man believe that his hand would just come back later. The fun of it all.

The girl... Kayleen. Make her vanish and bring her to me after your performance Kurtis raised an eyebrow, with a little 'Hmm?' coming from his throat. It had been a while since he had asked him to do this, make somebody vanish for good under the cover that she was all part of the act and returned later. He tipped his hat down, his well known mischievous smirk already on his lips. "As you wish, Mr. Ticketmaster" he said in a slight mocking tone, but he meant it in a way as well. The TicketMaster was pretty cool in Kurtis' eyes, even if he was a jerk and really cruel to the freaks. He turned around, hearing a rustling in the woods. He raised an eyebrow before departing, slightly confused.

Onlooker, or just a stray, I wonder?

The Ticketmaster gave the jester a nod before turning his attention to the magician. “Don't let me down Kurtis.” His voice was smooth as he picked up the box of money. “Now, go prepare for the show. Shaelynn should be introducing the Acrobats right about now,” He said the last part partially to his self. Something about Shaelynn wasn't sitting well with the old demon. He moved past the magician and towards the trailers only to pause and look towards the trees.

“Now, now... what have we here?” His grin grew and his eyes darkened. This was a strange creature. Yes, a very strange creature indeed. All of the people must have attracted it. “I wonder if you're worth the trouble...” He rubbed his chin as he continued on to the trailers to lock up the money. He could sense the creature moving about the cirque's grounds but he wasn't sure what its intentions were. Was it hungry? He definitely smelled blood on it.

Walking back to the tent to oversee the show he noticed a tare and paused. “Curious...” He chuckled to his self smelling the thing that had been lurking around the cirque. He silently entered the tent and watched the Ringmaster give her normal speech to grab the crowd's attention. Was it working? His eyes scanned the crowd only finding the two faces he wanted in the next show to be of any interest. “Do your job...” He wasn't sure if he was growing bored of the Ringmaster because she was human or because she kept things just a little too calm. No, because she was human... maybe she'd prove herself tonight.

Jane saw nothing wrong with her questions so when Ian turned around, nearly pulling her entirely off of the ground by the collar of her shirt, she was a little bit shaken up. At this point it wasn't really by fear as it was by surprise, only because she knew that he wouldn't dare to hurt her before the show. Part of her almost wished that he would- nothing that he could do to her would be worse than what the Ticketmaster would do to him for messing up an act in the show. However, no matter how hard she pulled against him, his grip didn't even slightly loosen. Maybe he was a little bit stronger than she thought when he was in his human form. She said nothing as he yelled angrily at her about her attitude. He was angry and she didn't want to make it worse, but she also couldn't come up with any good comebacks. Clearly he was the only one with an attitude, and in an instant he collapsed to the floor, showing that Dezi agreed with her that he was the one who needed to fix himself. Jane stumbled with his fall but was released from his grip and quickly got back onto her feet, moving away from them. He ran off after Dezi yelled at him and Jane couldn't help but to smirk with success.

Kurtis then appeared. He was someone that Jane liked enough to not cause problems with. He enjoyed pranking people and Jane found it amusing when other people were at the end of his jokes, as long as she wasn't one of them. Besides, she had no idea where all of those people he made disappear ended up, and she could be one of them. "I am mat-" she had begun to argue with him but then he mentioned taking up problems with the Ticketmaster and that was enough to silence her. He was the last person that she wanted to with. She waited for him to be out of sight before turning back to Dezi.

"It's not my fault that he gets mad at everything!" she said to Dezi, crossing her arms over her chest, "and besides, this is all Arella's fault. You don't care though, since you obviously love her so much". She scowled, ready to set Arella on fire and finish the problem off like that. Jane knew that it wasn't really Arella who was the problem- she probably could have befriended her when she had been signed into the circus, and maybe she was a little jealous at how much of the crew had taken a liking to her, but it's not like she was going to ever admit that. She didn't like it when anyone was liked by other people. It's not like she really wanted to be liked herself, or maybe she did and just wasn't ready to admit it, but the thought of other people having relationships bothered her. Maybe it was because she had never had a relationship before. Growing up as an only child to two abusive and drug addicted parents left her with little attention or experience in making friends, and growing up around violence and anger was all that she really knew. Even after being in the circus for four years, she had never felt the need to develop a strong relationship with anyone that wasn't based of of hatred. However, she was still convinced that it was everyone else's fault whenever a problem arose.

"God, it was just like, a question," she said, rolling her eyes again. "You're right though, animals will be animals. That's why Shea keeps them in cages, I guess. Did Ian get so angry and break the cage open or something, cause I think that he's supposed to be in there. He's dangerous, he almost ate me alive," she continued. "At least you're nice though. Thanks for taking my side," she finished with a smile, partially saying it in true belief but also as an jab at Ian, despite him not being there to hear it.

"Don't you know your own clown?" Victoria laughed darkly in her cage. If anything, befriending your clown was the smartest move a freak could make. A clown, one who could get away with almost anything under the strict rules of the cirque; to have one on your side would make your stay massively different. "Only the clown assigned to you has the key for your cage silly," She stretched her wings, "Sorry, little fox! The ink will wash out... don't you worry." She cooed to the creature as she paced about her cage.

"It will indeed..." That voice... Victoria was frozen as she heard the footsteps pace around her cage. "What have we here?" The Ticketmaster chuckled as he approached Katerina's cage. "An escape attempt?" He threw back the curtain and eyed the fiery girl darkly. "Tsk tsk tsk... we can't be having that." He touched the bars of her cage, "You will be free of your chains as soon as you learn to follow the rules." He moved over to the props and crossed his arms, "Little fox... would you please come out?" He asked kindly. She could make a lovely freak... or maybe even a furry clown. Hm...

"I will not hurt you little fox. I simply want to speak to you." He spoke as his smile shrank into something a bit more human. Victoria moved about her cage afraid to say anything to the girl. She just murmured a soft, "Be careful, fox..." She could feel the glare from the Ticketmaster on her but she didn't care. She had done everything but thrown the girl out of the cirque. Whatever happened next was probably going to happen anyway.

Koko wipes her paws on her face, but seems to make more of a mess of it. She has spread the dye all over her arms and even more so around her face than before. The bird woman says something about the key she had used, and the ink not staining her fur.

Koko hears footsteps approaching the cages, and she holds her breath. She stays as still and silent as possible. She hears a voice takling to the fire girl. Its muffled under all the props, she can't really understand whats going on...but then she hears a very noticible word. "Fox."
I have been caught, she thinks to herself, might as well stop hiding...

She sticks her heaf out fromt he pile, as a pink boa dangles across he nose. Her blue ears perk up and she looks up at the source of the voice.
She smiles coyly and pulls out a blue paw to wave, "Hello, Im really sorry about your cage...and all the blue everywhere..."

Blue dye slowly dripped out of Kat's hair, as she thought on what Victoria said. If there really was a clown assigned to her, getting them to join her side but be more beneficial than a dumb little fox girl. Her skin burned fiercely now, just as inflamed as her temper.

She felt him coming before she saw him, a sharp sense of unease in her gut. The Ticketmaster. There was dark magic around him. She held her breath as heavy footsteps fell next to her cage, and that voice. He threw back the heavy curtains. Kat flinched; the light that came flooding into the cage was unbearably bright after so long in darkness. By the time she had found her voice again, the Ticketmaster had already moved on to dealing with the fox girl.

The way he dealt with Kat so nonchalantly re-ignited her defiance. She spat. "Is this how you treat human beings?" she called, grabbing the bars of the cage with flaming hands. "I've had enough. Fuck the contract, I want out. Do you hear me!"

The Ticketmaster held back a chuckle and tilted his hat. "Don't worry about the cage..." He snapped his fingers and a couple clowns appeared. They handed the girl a damp towel before they ran over to clean Katerina and her cage. "Now," His eyes darted to the side for a moment as he sensed all of the special beings in his territory. "You are looking for shelter, is that correct?" He spoke already knowing that she had nowhere but the forest to go. "I can offer you a permanent home, my dear... you'll be assigned a loyal clown like the others who will keep you fed and safe..." His eyes landed on the cage of the fire girl.

"You may leave your cage freely whenever we are closed to the public..." That was his way of letting her know that her punishment was up. Hopefully, her clown would be around soon to unchain her. "But, during the the show, your cage is to remain locked. To keep up appearances. A small price..." He looked at Victoria's covered cage, "Don't you think?" He could hear the harpy shuffle about inside. She didn't reply. "We have a few rules, but so long as everyone remains intact and in top form, ready for the show, then you are free to do as you wish." He was grinning again. This time a bit more blissful. The Cirque, after all, was his pride and joy. He couldn't speak of it lightly. "I think that you'll make an excellent addition to our show." He eyed her carefully before reaching behind his back and pulling out a piece of paper from seemingly nowhere. He showed it to the fox. "Just a signature and this entire place will be your new home." He clicked a pin and held it out to her.

Kat flinched away from the clowns when they attempted to wipe the blue dye off her with a damp towel. Her stubborn pride had already taken an enormous beating, she wasn't going to let them dry her off like a mother would dry off her child. "I'll do it myself," she hissed at one of the clowns as she snatched the towel out of his hand. All the while she was listening the to the Ticketmaster, snorting in disbelief when he mentioned 'fed' and 'safe.' She would've been just as safe, if she'd stayed in jail. The ticketmaster had been full of promises then. He seemed like the sort of man who carefully chose each of his words and wouldn't hesitate to use them to trick and subdue in order to get what he wants.

I should've just served my time. I should've never signed the bloody contract. And, now, right in front of her the fox girl was about to make the same mistake.

A half-mad laugh escaped her lips. "Go ahead and sign, little fox," she said, rattling her chain, "After all, I wouldn't mind me some company."

Koko looked down at the paper, "I can't read, what does it say. And...," if I do join I hav eone request. I would like to be this one's clown," she pointed back to the angry fire girl making a show of her self in her cage.
"I always loves dressup and I can do some nifty tricks" she hops up and does a one handed hand stand, holding the paper in her left hand, with her tail flicking in the air, "Plus, how cute is this tail! I can jump through hoops and balance on balls, stuff like that. It's fun! And she looks like she needs someone to talk to and I have a small fire ability from the demon in me. Nothing as big as hers but it's something we have in common, and it's a start," she said hopefully. If you will let that be, ill do it!"
She hops back down and stands before him.

The Ticketmaster ignored the fire girl and focused on his new talent. "It simply states that you will become apart of the Cirque. And in exchange for living on our grounds and using our resources you will help with the work and perform in the shows." He said honestly while leaving out a few tidbits. Nothing important. Just, that she'd be forced to stay for the rest of her life and termination of the contract would mark her for death. Just a few small points.

"A clown?" His head tilted to the side as he thought about it. He really wanted to use her as a freak. A clown would be giving her too much freedom in his eyes. "Hm..." His smile reseeded some as he replaced the pin with a pad of ink. "I suppose... but you are to remain in make-up during show hours. No exceptions." He looked over at the cage and shook his head. "She's a bit of a hot head..." He warned, "But, if you think that you can handle the work..." His smile grew, "Then you may be her personal clown." He really didn't care about that bit. He just wanted her to perform. "Now!" He held out the ink pad, "Just a thumb print here and you'll be apart of the show." He pointed to a blank spot at the bottom of the paper. Where is that magician? He wondered briefly before his mind returned to the matter at hand.

She looked back at the fire-girl behind her, and the bird woman next to her. The fire girl was obviously determined to make a show of her discomfort, but The ticketmaster seemed honest.
Koko rubbed her already blue thumb onto the contract.
"Deal," she said as she signed her life away. "Where do you want me first?"

"The show has already begun and you are not acquainted with how things are run yet," He paused as he he thought for a moment. "Stay back here with your new friends and I shall show you to your quarters once they go into the tent." He gave a kind order as the contract vanished from his hands. "Just be sure to stay out of sigh, my dear. Can't ruin the surprise..." He waved his finger before turning on his heels. He walked away from the cages and towards the tent.
"Kurtis." He grinned darkly. "Well?" He was awaiting his new performer. Tonight would be a very busy night for the Ticketmaster. So many new additions to his glorious cirque. He was even getting a new Ringmaster. Domino will join... His grin grew more devious at the thought of the fae taking control of this cirque. "The girl." His mind snapped back to the matter at hand. The young Kaylee.

Victoria waited until she was sure that the Ringmaster was gone before climbing down from her perch and pushing against the curtain. "Why do you want to become a clown?" She asked curiously trying to see the little fox girl covered in clown make-up. She peaked outside for a moment and glanced at the uncovered cage. "You might want to cover her up... half of the act is the surprise." She nearly spat the word. She was actually quite drawn to the stage and enjoyed striking fear and awe into the hearts of those small humans. However, she hated nearly everything else about this hellish place and wanted to gouge her own eyes out whenever she saw such willing victims. This girl... she was smart. She didn't allow him to deem her a freak from the start. She made herself a clown.
