Age: 19
Gender: Male
Personality: As a freshman Alan was overweight, having a weakness for fast food. The temptation of eating a greasy burger can still take him over at times, even after he put in the work to lose all the weight. Since then he made more friends, slowly turning from a quiet introvert to an outgoing young man. Undergoing his physical transformation, he is now in great shape, possessing surprising strength and a quickness his mother would have never thought possible. One of the calorie burning things he surprisingly enjoyed was dancing, as he found a fondness for dubstep and techno music, which was easy to dance to. Alan was a nice guy before, but now that he has more energy and zest in life, he goes out of his way to help people instead of just standing by and observing. His weakness is that he believes all people are good in their heart; some have seen him as gullible.
Alan likes to chat and enjoys physical activity . . . and food. Chinese food, Mexican, Italian, you name it and he loved it. Falling back to being out of shape was his single greatest fear. He hopes to help make others lives easier by helping them out, which was part of the driving thought behind going into criminal justice. This extends to all sorts of people, not those who are in bad shape as he used to be. In trying to reach out to people, he experienced 'thug culture' when he had to deal with some gangster wannabee types. He never admits it publicly, but those people make him uneasy.
Fears:
~Becoming overweight again.
~Thug/hip hop culture
Appearance:
Short cut light brown hair adorns his head, with hazel eyes to match. From his dedication to working out his body is slim and fit. Alan stands a little under six foot tall at five-foot-ten. His family and friends tell him he is a handsome man, but even with as great of shape he is in, he still feels like the fat guy he used to be two years ago.
History: Alan grew up in a single parent household with his mother and his brother, never having any idea who his father was. Other than having no father figure he lived the average life of a kid in America, but his mother did not feed him right. He packed the weight on and was a large kid by the third grade. Alan witnessed some of the other fat kids get bullied, but he was never a target. There was always a temptation to help out those being bullied, but he hated to draw attention to himself. One of his regrets is not standing up for others earlier in his life.
When he got a laptop for his birthday years later it was no help, he became even more complacent as he spent all night chatting online with people from around the world who were like-minded. His mother never thought anything was wrong with his weight or his online activity, because he excelled in school. Alan did not date much, he felt too self-conscious about his weight. Eventually the pressure to get a girlfriend, and the fact that he was considering going into law enforcement, pushed Alan to make the commitment to an exercise program. Since he started that two years ago, he has transformed into a new person. He is currently pursuing a criminal justice degree at University.
