Lyela smirked, so she had gotten it right. Still, Ripley seemed way too excited, must be something to do with being a demon. She was probably going to be a little disappointed when she found out that these fights weren't 'to the death'. They just kept going until the other guy gave up or was unconscious. Ripley seemed kind of, blood thirsty? Besides that, it was hard enough to keep these matches going without interference from the Bears. Of course she enjoyed them quite a lot herself.
"That's what I thought," She said finally, lifting her helmet off the seat of her bike, "You don't spend much time around here, do you?"

"So you don't remember anything except being the Gate keepers of Hell?" Yueshii mused. How interesting.

As one of them tossed him his tonfas, Yueshii paused, lips thinning.
This meant he was indebted to them
How bothersome.

"Lets get out of here." he sighed, already having pried off the blood bottle that had been connected to him. He didn't need anymore blood anyway. He had recovered sufficiently not to take anymore help.

As he led the three of them out of the hospital, he evaluated the two of them. So they were really that powerful, huh? Well well well.

Having knocked out two nurses who had seen him and the state of the wall, and beating the computer at the reception - the one that hopefully kept the records of who was admitted and discharged - to a pulp so no one would find out his name from the register, they eventually made their way out.

"Just to clear things up." he told them. "There is not to be a repeat of the blood incident."
He paused, giving them a contemplative look. "How and where did you get my tonfas anyway?"

Hearing her yell out to him in public simply made Shadenz sigh.
Observation 4: Humans seem to get caught up in sudden situations so much that their short-term memory just flies the bloody window. This realization is inconvenient, and I hope that I won't have to deal with it to often.
"Sim, I'm telepathic, you don't need to speak in public. I'm in your shadow at the moment, it gives protection from the sun. I was able to avoid being spotted, however I needed to get you outside for this so I caused the alarm to go off." He decided not to mention the shoes because he had a feeling she would find out in a moment. "Was my disappearance an inconvenience to you in any way?"

Ripley

She spread her wings ready to follow Lyela once she started up her motor and she cracked her knuckles. That was one of her very bad habits, when she heard the word fight or was about to engage in a battle, she would always crack her knuckles.
"I don't hang around the human world at all usually but know I am eager to see what the fights are like!" she was smirking and internally laughing.
This is going to be fun! She thought to herself.

Simona Benette

Oh right, sorry, but I was just really happy! Sim thought in her mind and tried connecting with Shadenz, it was a bit harder than she had anticipated. I missed you and I was wondering when you were going to come, believe me you're the best thing that has ever happened to me! So yes, I guess you could say that your disappearance was an inconvenience to me.
She felt a little stupid saying and she was blushing a little but she was glad that Shadenz was with her. The principal announced that the fire alarm had gone off because someone had pulled on one and he was asking if the culprit would come to his office earlier (of course no one would come since it had been Shadenz). Now we had to follow the teachers back into the building but the second everyone took a step forward they all lost their balance and fell face first on the floor except for Simona. Sim had to hold back her laugher but it was just too good to see all of the student that rottened her life to the core fall on their faces and realize that all of their shoes laces had been tied together.
Did you do this, Shadenz? Asked Simona.

Lyela drove into the street, surpassing the speed limit almost instantly. After the raid on the race track last night most of the cops would either be off, or doing paper work. Therefore there were no worries of getting caught. She sped between cars, ignoring a number of road rules. When she got to the ring she skidded to a stop, jumping off her bike and checking her watch.
"Yes!" She yelled, fist pumping, "New record!" A few of the guys gave her a startled laugh, having just been in the line of her bike.
"We weren't expecting you back so soon," One of them said.
"Aw, miss me Ted?" Lyela asked giving him a mocking look, "I've told you before if you want to hang with me all you have to do is buy me dinner. Anyway, who can I go up against today?"

"Hehehe, I simply could not pass up the opportunity to torment the tormentors." he told her laughing slightly, "I am sorry for leaving you alone, I'm not familiar with the human plane of existance. I was trying to observe the human world to become aware of the surroundings."
All the students were yelling trying to find how their shoes were tied together. A few tried blaming Simona but were quickly dismissed, she had been standing there with them the whole time, there was no way she could have done it. That thought was just what Shadenz was counting on.
"Humans seem to be very predictable...," he paused looking at Simona, "Well...with some exceptions."
Observation 5: I've come to another realization. The witch Simona Benette and I have a surprising fact in common, we are both out-casts of our general society. She is isolated from the other humans do to the fact she is different from the rest of them.........I think my partner may be more perfect for me then I thought.
"Simona," Shadenz finally began, "How long have the other humans treated you with such contempt?"

Ripley

"Yeah! Who wants to go against the ruthless Lyela! Get your heart torn out and roasted in a fire pit so that I can eat it!" Ripley was a little too enthusiastic but she was just loving the idea. It was too bad no other human that the one she bonded with could now hear her.
Ripley was in need of a little killing, she hadn't done anything ever since she had left Hell and in the human world there wasn't much to eat because one rule reined in Hell: Do not disturb the balance of life in the human world. That rule meant that no demon can kill a human to eat them but a demon can eat a human if he or she is already dead. Ripley was in need of flesh! Preferably newly killed.

Simona Benette

Simona laughed when Shadenz said he had to familiarize himself with the human world and that humans were so predictable, There's nothing to familiarize with, the world changes everyday so it's impossible to get used to it. Wars, love, hatred, happiness . . . it's endless and it's what makes the world so unpredictable. Humans make it unpredictable.
Simona followed her teacher back to the classroom while so classmates pulled her hair and accused her for the shoes accident just earlier. Simona ignored them because she was used to them always accusing her for things that had logic reason behind them but they were too dull to even consider them. Someone always needed someone else to blame and Simona was that someone.

"Simona, how long have the other humans treated you with such contempt?"

Simona was quiet for a little while then when she sat at her table in the back of the class she quietly whispered, "Forever."

Lyela had to bite her tongue to stop from laughing at Ripley's outburst. The other guys were already laughing at Ted's confused expression but Ted managed to pull himself together.
"You know how hard it is to find you a partner," He groaned, "Can't you through the match just once? That would make my life so much easier." Lyela smirked, it was Ted's job to make sure anyone who turned up wanting a fight got one. It wasn't easy for him with the people who rarely lost.
"No way," She answered, "I know you'll find me someone, go provoke one of those sexist bastards or something." She went and sat on her back as Ted walked, grumbling, into the other room.
"Ever heard of boxing?" She asked Ripley quietly as she removed her jacket.

Shadenz paused at hearing Simona's answer, recalling the past before he became a head of research.
"I see..." he finally muttered, "As hard as it may to believe this, I know exactly how you feel. The constant ridicule, the looks of disgust and fright, the abuse both physical and mental. I lived with that for almost 400 years, all for the fact I'm a Shade demon." He stopped lost in his own thoughts, laying in Simona's shadow, recalling the hatred and terror that followed him wherever he once went.
"I must ask this," He eventually started again, "Though you have endured such treatment in your life, how is it your spirit is still strong and yet so kind. I can tell from the aura around you that if there is one thing you can't become, it's cruel. So my question is, what is it that gives you your will to proceed?"

Sonime and Sonima followed him out Sonima smileing as she always did watching him take out people as they walked down the hallways then attacking the a person behind a desk. they dident know why he needed to do any of this but it was amuseing to both of them anyway. when he stated that he dident want Sonime or Sonima takeing any of his blood again Sonima sighed and Sonime looked at her and shook her head finding it sort of funny in her own head but not showing it on her face. they both listened as he asked "How and where did you get my tonfa's?" they both looked back at the hospital and smiled devilishly. "well. . . lets just say that if they open the closet door in there one of there janitors has commited suicide." Sonima giggled afterwords quickly flicking up her head. "oh yea i forgot." Sonima took off running to the building a sudden explosion happening inside Sonima reappearing beside Sonime and there newly bound human. Sonime looked at her odd. "what did you just do?" she asked. "i remembered something about human devices that copy everything you do so they can watch it again later all connected to the other device that that guy was at that Yueshii beat to a pulp. . ." Sonime contenued to look at her odd ". . . what?" Sonima paused for a moment to think. "camorus . . . camerus . . . camera . . . yea thats it cameras or something . . . so i took out anything that was electronic." Sonime paused " . . . ok . . . hmm sounded fun." the both looked to Yueshii following him anywhere he went.

Ripley

Ripley didn't quite understand why Lyela had laughed and she understood even less why the man walked away grumbling, if he wanted a fight why didn't they fight? Ripley really didn't understand humans.

Ever heard of boxing? Lyela asked.

Ripley looked at Lyela who was removing her jacket, "What's boxing?"

Simona Benette

Simona giggled at Shadenz's question, even she didn't really know why she never became angry or hateful to her it was just natural.
I understand that you have lived through a lot, and 400 years is definitely more than myself, it I was you I too, would probably become 'cruel' as you say, but right now I just can't. I have a promise to keep with a very important person that I am going to go see after school, if you want and are interested in knowing more about me you can come along. It was the first time Simona proposed explaining her life to anyone and she was shaking with fear but a part of her was glad she said it. Maybe she could finally unlock a different part of her mind and become a better witch.

"Its a camera." Yueshii nodded, appreciative of the gesture. He had forgotten all about cameras, and berated himself mentally for that.

Well, it wasn't as if he made a habit out of breaking himself out of hospitals,

"Anything electronic?" he frowned. "You took out all the monitors too? The patients would need those, you know. That wasn't a very wise thing to do."

Somehow he got the feeling that these two were a little off in the head. Not only did they have complete knowledge about human ways, there was also something very wrong with them. The way they nonchalantly disposed of people and things ... Yueshii himself beat up anyone in his way, that was what he had always done, but he had never killed anyone outright. Or killed anyone at all.

Well, what would you expect? They did say they were demons. Weren't demons supposed to be cold-blooded?

"Lets just say that if you open a closet there's a Janitor who committed suicide...."
Yueshii felt a cold shiver running down his spine and suppressed it.

What exactly had he gotten himself into?

Lyela watched the other guys leave, having decided to try helping Ted, then turned to Ripley.
"Boxing is a sport," She replied, "It's a way of fighting, like Karate or Tae Kwon Do. I just brought it up because you should realise that your fights are probably going to be very different from the ones your used too."
"Lyela, I found someone!" Ted yelled running back into the room, followed by a fairly large group.
"Don't the rules say one on one?" Lyela asked curiously. Ted looked over at the crowd, then shrugged.
"They wanna watch," He said as he pulled a blonde guy forward, "This is Adam. C'mon we gotta get you two in the ring." As he walked past he hissed at Lyela. "Go easy, he's a new favourite."
Adam looked pretty impressive, strong and very capable. Maybe it'd be a decent fight after all, been a while since she had one of those.
"I'll only be as rough as it takes to win," She promised casually, gaining a frown from Adam as she followed being Ted towards the ring.

both Sonime and Sonima felt his distress Sonime looked to Sonima and shrugged and Sonima looked to Yueshii asking "umm why would they need to live . . . the people on the electronics . . . there weak and dont have enough will to get up and fight for there life . . . thats the way demons work . . . if you dont have enough will to fight for your life your as good as dead to any of us." Sonima looked to Sonime to make sure she was right. Sonime just shook her head to her agreeing with her. "you humans are so confuseing. . . you will gladly kill someone for your country, out of spite, or for simple things such as your greed or money but you won't kill the weak to make room for the strong." Sonima looked confused. Sonime shook her head with one of her half smiles as she always did when she found something amuseing know just about as much as Sonima did. "its ok Sonima they confuse me as much as they confuse you but i guess were going to be here for a while so me should just take some time and try to learn about them." they both shrugged at the same time then brushed there white hair out of there faces then both looked to Yueshii to see what they were going to do next.

Yueshii assessed their words. It was true, what they said, those people were weak. But what purpose would it serve to erase them? Most people were just sheep flocking together, walking noisily towards their own deaths. As long as they didn't get in his way, he left them alone. Everyone was just the same. He wasn't anyone to decide someone was better than the others.

Then again, he had a sneaking suspicion they wouldn't really understand this, or try very hard to understand.

Maybe that was just how their world worked. And as long as it wasn't affecting him directly ...... he just had a hunch it wouldn't be very wise to start a conflict with them so soon, especially when they were still on shaky grounds - at least according to him. Pushing aside the slight sinking feeling in his stomach, he frowned, thinking of where to go.

"I need to go to my part time job. Its as a waiter. It might be better for the two of you not to come along."
He was a little apprehensive what they might be up to in the small cafe. No doubt they would grow restless before long.

"Important person?" Shadenz thought for a moment in silence, "Very well, I wish to see what kind of person it is you apparently hold so dear."
Observation 6: When humans tend to find themselves in despair or confused, they gain emotional support from other humans. This is a contradiction in itself. Since genesis humans have been their own worst enemy. They discriminate agenst each other over the most trivial details, they go to war at the drop of a hat, and yet I ask this question: How do humans still rely on each other so easily? ...More research is needed.
Logging that thought away he thought of one little detail. "Simona, just know that I won't show myself to this person so easily. I have to be sure it won't interfere with my, or your safety."

Ripley

"Sport . . . um . . . I'm not really sure i understand but I sure do know the word fight!" Ripley cracked her knuckles and followed behind Lyela and the two men.
She flapped her wings gently so that she could barely levitate over the floor. Then she saw the ring, it was a bit odd, there were rubber band like ropes around it and it was square shaped. Ripley didn't know that boxing required a precise location to do the fighting, maybe that's what 'sport' meant: a fight with the need of a precise location and each 'sport' required a different location.
Well that's interesting. Ripley was starting to think that humans had a lot of imagination for these kind of things. We should have one of these in Hell.

Simona Benette

Simona perfectly understood Shadenz's precaution so she added nothing more to the discussion and during the rest of the day she just listened in class and did what she usually did, make new potions or read old books. Then the day was over and her favorite part was coming up. She waited at the bus stop but this time her classmates didn't come to bother her, they stood very far away as a matter of fact. Simona didn't pay much attention to it though.
She sat in the bus until the last stop and then walked the rest of the way until the reached the gates of the psychological institute. Most people wouldn't say long in front of it or they would say that only crazy people were in there, but to Simona it was the only place she was understood and the only place she felt safe and at home. Even though her perv of a father worked in there, she was still safe because he couldn't do anything to her. She was a witch after all.

That's what I thought, Lyela was worried, but so long as Ripley didn't get involved. What were the chances she wouldn't get involved? Lyela guessed slim if she was disappointed. Oh, well, just gotta live with it. After all they were friends and you have to accept a friend's faults. She flung herself in the ring, jumping over the ropes and sat down long enough to take off her shoes. Technically this wasn't boxing, it was kick-bocking, which Lyela greatly preferred because it allowed fuller use of her whole body. Adam entered the ring much more casually and seemed to be measuring her up, she blew him a kiss. It may not be the normal thing to do, but she knew it would mess with him. The crowd that was slowly gathering whooped and laughed while Adam just stood there and blinked at her. As she thought, he'd already heard rumours about her...
The bell rung out and we both moved forward, beginning the dance. Everything else slipped from her mind, the basic moves of the fight had been memorised a million times over. She wouldn't lose, he may be a new favourite but she was a favourite too, and she'd been here longer.

Sonima and Sonime quickly looked at each other and smiled when he asked them not to come, Sonima giveing an real smile and Sonime giveing the normal evil smile that she normilly did, they both quickly turned to Yueshii. they both wanted to go they wern't done exploreing the human world yet and wanted to see how they acted in normal life and there job for the moment was to protect him and to come to his aid whenever he called so why not be close by. "can we come? we wont make any trouble . . . well besides a floating object or two but we can sit in the back to where people wont see that and you can check up on us to make sure we are being good at any time you wish." Sonima said sounding almost innocent of all crimes and demonic acts a demon commited in her lifetime. "and if it makes any difference its only fun to catch something of fire if someone screams or a large amount of destruction and we cant go destroying were the human were bound to works it would make you look bad and probably land you in a human holding cell and it would be more boring there then it would be in that work place of yours." Sonime said probably not helping the case but reassureing him that they wouldent destroy the place. both looked at him seeing what he would say.

Ripley

She didn't understand why Lyela had just blown him a kiss, she was going to kill him after all! Humans are so odd.
Then a bell rang and it started, Ripley understood what it really was, "I get it! It's a fist fight to the end! Get him Lyela! Wring his neck! Punch his nose in and bake him for lunch!"
She was getting a little carried away but at least it was something to watch. She had heard stories about humans being very violent creatures when they wanted. Not powerful, but violent.
At least it'll save me from the bother to train her before the games. The GAMES!
No one yet knew when the games were going to start after all they would be called at the last minute, well Ripley didn't have to worry, she was sure she had the strongest human.

Simona Bennet

"You ready, or rather, are you there, Shadenz?" Sim asked, she wasn't sure if Shadenz even want to go into a mental institute even if he was a demon.
This was a pretty personal part of her life and it held all of her family in it even if she wasn't really linked to them by blood, but it was the only place she felt like she could be herself and actually practice her sorcery with her mother.

"I'm here Simona," Shadenz whispered from her shadow, "I'm actually quite intrigued as to this person you mentioned. I look forward to meeting them."
This explains as to the strong residual trace of her presence here, she's here to see this person...but why in a mental institution, who would give her such strength and support here?...hmm. I guess I'll find out soon enough.
"Now then my dear new friend lead the way, after all I can't exactly waltz right in myself," he said jokingly, "Besides, I have no idea where or who this person were is."

Lyela allowed herself to laugh at Ripley this time, most everyone in the room would just consider it mocking. Adam came towards her and she dodged the blow easily, jabbing him the side as she did so. He was pretty fast. New opponent she wanted to know more about his style. She began to though punch, left then right. He blocked the both, she jabbed him in the stomach. He was pretty good but she was still better. The fight continued this way, each person trying to dodge attacks and land their own at the same time. Lyela was starting to get irritated, fights stopped being fun if they went on to long. The audience was getting a little bored. Time to step it up a notch. Adam landed another blow as she made her plan, she smirked up at him before clutching at his stomach, where he'd hit her. He moved forward to continue the fight and she took the chance to perform a high kick. She got him in the head. He hit the ground but he wasn't out. They were both pretty battered, but she had a high pain tolerance. She made herself stand up straight, waiting for him to get up or for the match to be called. He stood up.
"Seriously?" She asked without thinking.
"If it's too much for you, you could always call it," Adam offered.
"No such luck," She replied with a mock sympathetic look.
She darted forward again, intent of finishing the fight. She couldn't use her high kick again, cause it led to trouble for her if they were expecting it. She went with a series of jabs, she was fast after all. He hadn't been expecting the sudden backlash and she used the opportunity to swipe his legs out. The most risky move she knew. He hit his head on the ground, and this time he stayed there. Lyela stood up and kept herself in a defendable position until the match was called. She lent herself against the ropes, taking the drink that was past to her. She was going to have some bruises from this match. Someone handed her a towel, but she didn't see who busy watching people talk to Adam. He was just sitting on the ground, smiling and thanking them. She threw the towel at him.
"Next time I come I want a rematch," She said firmly, rewarded with a gasp for all the audience, "And next time don't hold back."
With that she jumped over the ropes and headed back towards her bike. Stretching out her muscles.

Ripley

Ripley observed their every moves, she was fascinated by how much humans moved to bring down their foe. But it was amazing how they kept on persevering, mostly Lyela, Ripley wondered how strong she could get if she moved like them. She started getting a little bored when the both of them were just dodging and missing but then Lyela woke her up.
"That was amazing! Hey hey hey can I try! Can I can I?" Ripley was like a little child jumping up and down. She wanted to try fighting like a human.

Simona Benette

She smiled and called in, "Hey it's Simona."

Hey Simy, come on in, you know you don't need to ring I already told you that.

"Well you know me, I love to ring the bell," she giggled and then walked in.
She walked through the halls and said hello to everyone then she stopped in front of a door and took in a deep breath, she always loved going to see her mother but the second before she would walk in she started wondering if her mother would be embarrassed of her. She spotted her bastard of a father coming toward her so she rushed into the room and smiled at her mom.
"Hey mom."

"Sure, I guess," Lyela replied, laughing slightly at her enthusiasm, "But can I make a stop first? I'm starved, and this this nice little café just a short drive away. Besides, that'll give me the chance to think of somewhere people won't look." Yeah, that'd be weird. Turn the corner to find someone having a fight with thin air...Actually it would be hilarious, but that's beside the point. Also 'a short drive' was by her standards, anyone else wouldn't think so. With traffic, lights and speed limits, it would take anyone who followed the law much longer to get there. She pulled her helmet one and climbed onto her bike, not waiting for any of the guys to see her off. Normally people had their injuries tended to after a fight, but she'd be fine. It was just a few bruises, she would live.
