Her parents were photographers and they would travel to the end of the world to get the shot they wanted but they never wanted to leave her plus there wasn't really anyone to leave her with considering that most of her relatives were either dead or too far to reach. Ruby was never one for a normal life with her parents traveling practically everyday. She was in new school almost every year and it's a miracle that she managed to graduate high school. However she learned many things with the traveling that ordinary life could never teach, or at least teach very poorly. Traveling with her parents taught her most of things she knows now, except juggling. She learned that after going to a circus for the first time.
Ruby was working regular hours at a decent wage at a friends bar when she decided to enter the giveaway. She follows the belief that she never wins anything, which to the most part is one hundred percent true, but a couple friends kept bringing it up and all three wound up entering. To much of her surprise she won and with the vacation days she saved up decided to actually go.
barely took a few steps outside her room before noticing three other guests, one covered in blood and another completely panicked. The blonde had a right to be panicked though as she was visibly trying to bar the door shut with a chair--a chair that was starting to collapse after repeated blows from inside her room. The man with the blood on him seemed to try to take charge of the situation. He seemed capable, but he was bleeding from the forehead.
