Setting
Leo put together that Emily was done puking, and that meant Rhea wasn't busy anymore. He rose, going to her. At first, Leo was cautious, but he soon gently put his arm around her waist helping her balance. It might of not been needed, but he did remember tending her leg. "How's your leg holding up? Need to be rewrapped or anything?" It didn't have any relevance to what he had said, but he brought the frog up anyway. "Wanna try some of that? Just a little bit?" using a gentler voice with her.
"Are you ready to get going to bed now?" He asked, not wanting her to stay up so late that she passed out. He looked down at her tired eyes and offered a slightly flirtatious grin. "If you're REALLY tired, I can carry you to the shelter again." He told her, referring to the night before.
Chloe watched Leo cook the frog. "Just to bug you," He told her with a smirk. She just rolled her eyes at him. When it was cooked, he took it off the heat. Chloe watched as he took a small piece off of it, trying to convince her to eat it. "Wanna just try a bit? Don't have to like it.." Chloe didn't let him finish before she had placed her hand over her mouth and backed away. "Do I really look like the type of girl to be okay with that!? Eat it yourself."
When Rhea came back, Leo instantly went up and got all romantic again. Gross. Chloe grunted angrily and stood up, tired of both of the couples by now. She turned around and walked towards the shelters. "I'm going to bed." She called back, knowing that they probably didn't care where she was going.
She had decided not to have her leg rewrapped. It was fine with him. "No thanks." Her eyes soon came into his. "And well, I don't need any fish...not hungry" She didn't want to eat either? With a shrug, Leo peeled the meat from the bones, finishing the frog. The remains were simply tossed to a bush. He was noticing Chloe's actions more, and her grunt with a retreat gave him a few hints. Leo wouldn't reveal them, at least with everyone. Maybe alone with her. "I'm going to bed." Rhea wasn't hungry, and it seemed like a good idea to go to bed. He couldn't think of anything else to do. "That sounds nice.. what you think?" He slowly moved towards the shelters, but wouldn't start actually moving until he got some sort of approval.
Once inside, she let go and sat. "I'm not that tired. You know, yawning is just a sign of lack of oxygen to the brain, not exhaustion." She knew she sounded nerdy, but she was trying to plead her case.
Once they got back to the shelter, Emily sat down on the ground, taking her hand out of his. He instantly missed the feeling. "I'm not that tired. You know, yawning is just a sign of lack of oxygen to the brain, not exhaustion." Devon pretended that he completely understood what she just said. "Yeah... I knew that....." He shrugged, knowing he was nowhere near to convincing her.
He had an idea and sat down behind her. Before she could ask what he was doing, he moved her hair out of the way and began to rub her shoulders. "I'm sure you're sore from today, with all of that fishing and lugging sticks around. You should relax a little bit." He continued to rub her shoulders slowly, working into the muscles. He had given his fair share of massages, so he was pretty sure that she would appreciate it.
"I'm sure you're sore from today, with all of that fishing and lugging sticks around. You should relax a little bit." She had to admit, she had started to be bothered by the knots forming in her back and shoulders. She hadn't ever really worked so hard, except in gym class. She knew she would definitely be a changed girl if they ever did get off this island, physically and emotionally.
As Devon massaged the knots out of her shoulders she turned her head up so she could look at him. She smiled, "You're pretty good at this, given a lot of massages have you?"
After the tightness was gone from her back, he couldn't help but move her hair away from her neck and plant a single kiss there. After that, he placed his hand on her chin and pulled her face to look at him again. He glanced at her lips quickly, but forced himself to wait a little bit and looked into her eyes. "Emily, I really like you."
While she was deep in thought, Devon kissed her neck softly and she jumped, not expecting the action. Devon put his hand on her chin and pulled her face up. She let him, not really knowing where this moment was heading. She noticed his brief glance at her lips, and grew afraid. Was she going to have to tell him the same thing again? But his next words practically knocked the air out of her. "Emily, I really like you." Her eyes widened and she turned around so she was facing him completely. Bringing her knees up, she rested her head on them and looked at him again with her big, blue eyes, hoping this wasn't some scam.
"Do you really mean that? Or are you still just interested in the chase?" She held her breath, waiting for his answer that she hoped was what she wanted to hear, and what also was the truth.
"Even if it would be in my best interest, I won't say something unless I mean it. And I swear that this is no exception." He just hoped she would believe him. He tucked her hair behind her ear and then caressed her cheek. "Please say that you believe me."
She blew out a breath and untucked her legs, splaying them out so she was sitting in a straddle in front of him. Closing her eyes briefly, she nodded and looked at him again. "I believe you. And I really like you too." She smiled softly at him, and she knew that they had crossed a bridge in their relationship. She just didn't know where it would lead.
Instead of speaking, he lifted her up onto his lap, pulling her in close to him. He wrapped his arms around her, burying his head into her shoulder. "You just made me happier than you could ever imagine." he spoke softly to her, lifting his face to look at her. Without another word, he pressed his lips to her. He had been waiting a little too long for that, and he couldn't force himself to wait any longer. It was so hard to contain himself when he was around her, especially in moments like this.
She leaned forward slightly, taking the upperhand and putting her palm against his cheek, while running her other hand under his shirt and up his chest as she had done before, only this time she knew exactly what she was doing.
He felt one of her hands resting on his cheek, and then another one going under his shirt against his chest. Her hands felt warm against him. Unable to resist, he deepened the kiss and began to run a hand up the back of her shirt, stroking her lower back softly.
Devon could feel himself losing control. He was usually able to be cautious and hesitant with girls, since being to forward could scare them off, but he couldn't do that with Emily. He wanted her so badly, but had no idea what she wanted. She was a little hard to read. Just barely, he pulled his lips off of hers.
"Emily, I don't know if I can hold back when I'm with you. I don't want to scare you off. If this is as far as you want to go, then stop me now, because I don't want to push you further then you're comfortable." He really meant it too. He was afraid that if they kept going at it like this then he would push to hard and end up ruining it all. He had absolutely no idea what he was doing, he had never been with a girl that he was afraid of hurting.
Chloe looked at Leo inside the shelter. He had walked in holding hands with Rhea, so obviously they were still okay. Gross. "You feeling alright?" he asked her. She could hear concern in his voice. She simply shrugged. "Nah, just homesick I guess." She wasn't entirely lying. She really missed having every guy at school trying to get her attention. It really sucked being on a stupid island.
"I think I'm going to try to sleep." She laid down on the ground, looking up at the ceiling of the shelter. "Good night."
She giggled, moving her head to the side and bringing her mouth close to his ear, kissing the sensitive part of his neck softly. "Then don't hold back," she whispered. Knowing that he cared about her, really cared about her, made Emily willing to lose control with him, and have him lose control with her.
"You have no idea what you do to me." He kissed her again, but didn't bother going slowly. He kissed her passionately, his hands exploring her back more. He move so that he was laying on top of her, propping himself slightly on his elbows so he wouldn't make her uncomfortable. He continued to kiss her lips, then trailed his kisses from her lips to her cheek to her jaw and finally to her neck.
"You amaze me." He kissed his way back up to her lips and kissed her with a new passion. He felt alive with her, which wasn't really something he could say about other girls. He didn't know what was so different, but didn't care.
"You amaze me." He kissed her again on the lips and she closed her eyes tight, responding with equal amounts of passion, if not more. "And you amaze me." She said breathlessly against his lips as they crashed down on hers again.
"And you amaze me." Were the last words he heard from her before he lost control with her completely, no longer holding anything back.
-------------
That night, he lay down next to her, holding her close to him, and fell asleep with her in his arms.
--------------
As Devon lay down next to her, she curled against him and let him wrap his arms around her. She laid her head comfortably against his chest and entwined her legs with his before relaxing completely and falling asleep, held tight in his embrace.
[OOC: So...is everyone asleep now? Who's making the first morning post?]
Her back was cramped, she was laying awkwardly sideways just to avoid looking at Chloe and Leo. The sand was stuck to her face as she raised her head. She was the first one up and made her way around the others. When she looked down at her stomach she could feel her ribs against her skin, her stomach was empty and flat yet Rhea showed no signs of being hungry. I'll just take a walk down to the beach...fresh air is nice as she walked Rhea could feel her hands shaking, it didn't bother her though. It was just happening and she played with her fingers to occupy herself on the walk down.
The water was crystal clear and Ray was able to watch some minos swim back to sea after the tide had pushed them towards the beach. She smiled watching the little fish disappear in seconds. Then she made her way down the beach a little longer, stepping carefully. Ray scrunched her eyebrows, frowning when each step became more and more difficult. Were weights attached to her feet? She turned her head to look down but as if someone had closed her eyes, Rhea saw black and fell to the ground, a soft muffled sound as the sand caught her. The waves barely touched her though, as she hadn't been wading though the water. So Rhea lay there in blackness, unconscious.
(OOC:thought I'd start the day off with a tiny bit of drama, hope no one minds ;))
Leo heard something shuffle next to him. It was Rhea getting up. He dismissed it for the moment, letting her cool off as well as himself. He still watched her enter the water, until she hit the ground with a thud. "Goddammit.. why do I always gotta be the fucking hero?" He got to his feet and ran to her. He was still dazed, and ended up tripping in the sand. Rising back up, he continued on to his damsel. She was out like a light, it was obvious. He lifted her, arms under her shoulders, and brought her out of the water. "Least you won't drown.." Leo was upset, yes, but he still had to help her.
(OOC: Okay, don't have me post anything about Leo going to sleep, just go ahead and move on... well, I found something anyway.)
He walked out of the shelter quietly, again trying not to wake her up. He hoped that he would be back before she woke up, but he wasn't entirely sure. Once outside, he walked along the beach, muttering to himself. He had never liked someone as much as he liked her, but it was scaring him how much she was changing him. He didn't know what to think about it.
While walking, he noticed two figures by the water. When he got closer, he saw that it was Rhea and Leo. What the hell are they doing here? He walked closer to them. Leo had placed her on the ground right beside the water. Something was wrong.
"Hey, what's going on?" He asked once he approached them.
