  • Bryant has a Eagle tattoo on his back
  • Bryant has a few scars on his arms from when he worked with the laborers
  • Bryant has a birthmark behind his ear, it kind of looks like a crescent moon

{ O V E R A L L }
Bryant's height and size make him appear more brawn than brains. He has a muscular physique with broad shoulders. He keeps his hair short and out of the way. His eyes are a dark green that emit intelligence. His eyes are distant and harsh looking, but show his true emotions when paid close attention. He keeps a groomed beard which covers most of his prominent jawline. His large size looks intimidating as well as his lack of smiling. While he is an outcast, he tries to keep what clothes he has clean.

β—† Bryant’s intelligent nature makes up most of his personality. He is constantly thinking and working out ideas. He never does anything without thinking about every option and outcome. He can’t stomach being reckless without any chance of a benefit. He likes thinking realistically. He doesn’t want to trick himself into thinking something impossible will somehow become possible. He doesn’t sugarcoat the things he says. He prefers being straightforward with others. Bryant is a loyal and trustworthy friend. He despises disloyalty among his friends, seeing it as a betrayal. Bryant is a traditional man, one of honor. He would hurt someone who didn’t deserve it. He’s a bit on the awkward spectrum with new friends. He tends to overthink what he says and it will come out wrong. He gets easily embarrassed when he speaks publicly. Sometimes, he appears as a tough man, but inside he’s a sweet little puppy. β—†

Bryant grew up in the laborers, since his parents couldn’t qualify for a better class. He watched as his parents worked hard to provide for their only son. He never understood why his parents had to work. His mother was always caring towards him and his father was intelligent. He did not want that kind of life for himself. He wanted to be higher up and began to work hard in the Student Class. He was always clever and smart, thinking of ways to make his parents’ job less difficult. He was placed in the Elite class when he was fifteen years old. He was taken away from his parents so he could be around β€˜his people.’ Bryant remembers being dragged away from his parents, screaming for his mommy and daddy. He hasn’t seen them since, but knows they are still alive. Bryant began to work as an elite after adjusting somewhat to his unfamiliar environment. He was the most promising of all the potential elite candidates so he had plenty of options to pick from. He decided to focus on being a doctor and scientist, but never stopped trying to find a way to better the life of the laborers. Bryant was happy for a while. He met a woman, Angelina, also in the elite class. They were married and had a baby. Bryant was so happy. He didn’t live could get any better. Unfortunately, his wife was living with a terrible secret. Angelina suffered from diabetes. She constantly had to take insulin from the hospital so she could survive. She got caught and was executed. Bryant was filled with anger. He didn’t understand why they would kill her. He heard from his superiors that she was a flaw within society. Her disease would contaminate the perfect society the Seraphs were trying to build. Bryant was disgusted with New Eden. He came to resent the community. He had to protect his daughter since they would consider her a flaw if she inherited or passed on the disease. He put all his energy into finding a cure and caring for his daughter. He found a way to diminish the chance of her inheriting the disease, but as for a cure, he continued working. Bryant found a partnership with a fellow doctor. The doctor, a friend of Bryant’s wife, did not want what happened to her to happen to anyone else. Bryant and Graham, the doctor, spent long hours working on finding a cure. Graham slowly became a part of Bryant’s family. The two got along well and it wasn’t long before their relationship went beyond professional. Bryant never thought he could move on after Angelina, but he never did expect someone like Graham either. The two kept their relationship quiet, knowing New Eden’s stance on homosexual relationships. Graham moved in with the family, claiming for work reasons. As Bryant watched his daughter grow, he knew she could be taken away from him. He found a way to crack the system. He could put his daughter into any class he wanted. Bryant got lazy and was caught and tried. He spoke out against the injustices done by New Eden to create a perfect society. The New Eden council ruled him a traitor and banished him. He knew his daughter would be safe with Graham. He would continue to fight for her. As Graham left, he knew he was going to die. He knew what Seraphs did to the outcasts. He only prayed that he would not let them beat him before he saw his daughter one last time.

So begins...

Image Tattered black sneakers pound the gravel and dirt mixture that was probably at some point in the past green grass and exotic plants. Junsoo's legs carry him across the empty space as fast as they can physically go in a desperate effort to find shelter behind something. Anything. The heavy sack of wood over his shoulder makes staying alive a little harder than it should be and his only form of weapon at the moment is a small pocket knife the boss always makes him carry around and the gathered wood. He can almost hear her scolding him for not having taken something bigger and more practical, or for managing to be separated from Bryant when they're supposed to travel in no less than twos at all times, precisely because of situations like these. It really is a wonder how the twenty-two year old has managed not to get himself killed for this long, what with being one of the most reckless of the bunch. Not that he intended on being separated from him, but they also hadn't intended on being attacked. Seraphs never hint at this time of day, so the pale and slender figure that showed up almost out of the blue had definitely caught them off guard.

What was supposed to be a simple mission to retrieve firewood turned into a race for survival. Now he's backed against the wall of an abandoned building, chest quickly rising and falling and heart on overdrive while he attempts to devise an escape strategy. Unfortunately, that's never been his string suit. Which is probably the main reason Bryant was sent with him. The older has always been best at planning. But he's not with him now, and June hopes he doesn't come looking for him either and opts for heading back to the group instead. This is something he'll have to handle on his own. He can almost smell the seraph closing in on him while his eyes search for some kind of small opening which he can slip through, but there's nothing. As much as he doesn't want to admit it, this may be his last day in No Man's Land.

Arabelle can feel the fear emanating from her prey. He's still close. She's not meant to be hunting right now. She hadn't even thought of coming here to do so. Her intentions were purely to get some fresh air, to get away from the stuffy mansion she was assigned to live in. But she also did not intend on running into such a fascinating target. He looked like a deer caught in the headlights the moment he'd spotted her. Eyes large, terrified and innocent. And she was pleasantly surprised to find he's much more agile than he appears. She's never liked easy targets. After a while it becomes much too tedious. Too boring. But this one, she decides, is worth keeping. There had been another outcast with him, but the two ended up splitting ways and Arabelle's interest was fixed on the smaller of the two from the very beginning. A refreshing change from her usual targets.

Image June's round eyes zero in on his attacker the moment her pale looks come into view and her thin lips twist into a pleased glim. She takes calculated steps towards him, cornering his body between a rusted old car and the decaying cement wall. "You're quite the fighter, I see." He knows reaching for the pocket knife at this point is useless. A slash of the small blade would be like a minor paper cut to a hunter seraph. His fists tighten around the knot of the sack, more than prepared to aim a swing at her head. If he can't use offense, he'll have to settle for defense. But of course it's never that simple. The moment their skin comes in contact, everything is forgotten. Including the fact that he's in deep shit if he doesn't move. His entire body is paralyzed down to the smallest muscle, eyes focused on her face. That's his first mistake. Never look a Seraph in the eyes. "Such a pretty face..." She coos. her voice is soft and soothing, very fitting to the way she looks, while her fingers brush against the side of his face. "I'm definitely keeping you."

One index finger slides under his chin while she carefully studies his face, smiling in satisfaction. As much as he wants to argue that there are much more handsome men in no man's land that she can "keep", his tongue much like every other part of him, is numb. He can't feel or hear a single thing, and all he can see is her face, lips poised and ready to attack.

ImageNika should've known it was a bad idea, a very bad idea but yet no one expected that the
simplest mission of retrieving firewood would turn out so incredibly wrong. When the boss
told her Jun-Soo would go with Bryant, Dominika tried to talk them out of it, and obviously
her attempts failed dramatically. Now she was the one in charge to find June, as they had
been communicated.

"Oh, of course! I'm the Tracker so I'm the one who must go save the lady in danger." The girl
rolled her her eyes and sighed. That was no sacrifice for her, Nika did her job very well done

and she would never complain about it, but that was just her using the natural sarcasm that she so loved. Putting a black jacket on, Nika walked out of their base and started looking for June. After what seemed to be a decade but was actually just twenty minutes, Nika noticed a change in the environment - an ability that not even herself could understand, a mix of intuition and observation skills. The silence started to be broken by almost unhearable whispers. In the exact minute the Seraph attacked June. Sneaking through the abandoned building, Nika slowly moved closer and closer to them.
Finally, once she reached a good distance, the woman grabbed a brick and hit it hard on the Seraph's head. Not even having time to look back to check on the girl, Nika grabbed June's hand and ran inside the building, towards the opposite exit so they could escape and mislead her. She quickly entered another abandoned building a little further and once they could finally breath calmly, Dominika stared at the boy, with intimidating and angry eyes. "What the hell were you thinking?!'

Cat rolled her eyes as Dominika slammed a brick on the blonde Seraph's head. She wasn't going to lie, Cat had never been too fond of the tracker. Dominika always seemed to make her fighting skills - no matter how good they were - known to the world. Cat was sure that she was far better - after all, it was literally her job - but she disliked Dominika nonetheless.
The blue-eyed teen caught sight of Bryant, the group's strategist. Cat knew he was best for the role. Cat was fully aware that she was only good at math and on-your-feet thinking while kicking the crap out of people. She couldn't offer much as the group's brains, and being the muscle - no matter how strange it seemed - was her best fit.
Cat followed the man into the abandoned building, where Dominika was currently ranting at June. Contrary to popular belief, Cat actually liked June. Many thought that with her blunt personality, she wouldn't get along with happy-go-lucky June, but his personality actually seemed to feel...right. Not fake. Cat liked that.
Cat didn't particularly enjoy the fact that no one seemed to notice her. "Damn, you always make the simplest of tasks the craziest of situations," Cat noted mildly, interrupting the three. "Impressive. Not convenient, but impressive."
Internally, Cat was thinking something completely different. I'm always the fourth wheel on this tricycle, she grumbled in her mind. Being the youngest in the group didn't exactly make people want to socialize with her. Add her blunt as hell personality on top of that...

June || "The Vitamin"
Dialogue: #e6e600

Image Despite all of June's efforts to break whatever spell this beautiful and deadly creature was casting on him, he failed. Convinced he was done for, he decided to just stop fighting and wait for what he knew was coming. Except it never came, and the next thing he knew he was being pulled into darkness. "What the hell were you thinking?!' The boy's large eyes blink once, twice, before he realizes he's now face to face with a completely different person. Relief is quick to wash over him and his tense shoulders slump forward, the bag of wood landing with a thud on the floor. "I was thinking if Bry and I split ways, she'd chase after the weaker looking target." He picks up his gaze to meet Niak's eyes, wondering just how tired she is of having to get him out of trouble. "And I was right." he adds in a soft smile for good measure. "The group could live on fine without me, but not without him." June knows she can't argue with his logic. Bryant is the smartest of the bunch, he's also responsible and gets things done. Meanwhile all June has managed to do is get himself into trouble. He can feel Nika's glare on him even if he's not looking at her, and can sense more lecturing coming his way. Luckily, they're interrupted just in time.

"Are you two alright?" Jun's head lifts in the direction of the voice, glad to see Bryant in unscratched. His plan, as harebrained as it may seem, worked. Mostly. "We're okay" he responds immediately, giving the man a thumbs up for whatever it's worth. "And no, I didn't lose the firewood" he adds, gesturing towards the sack resting by his feet. Immediately after, they're joined by Cat and her bluntness. Not that June's every minded it, in fact he's probably one of the few that never takes what she says to heart. His lips twist into a bright smile as he turns to face the small, blonde girl heading over. "Thanks kitty-cat!" Teasing the youngest in the group has become one of his favorite pass times. But now isn't the time to tease or stand around talking. It's highly likely that the blonde seraph came with reinforcements, which means it would be a good idea for them to get back to their home away from home, and soon. "Alright. You guys can lecture me all you want later, but right now we need to get the hell out of here."

Siren || Hypnosis + Sensory control
Dialogue: #00ff00

Image It didn't take long for Arabelle to recover from the blow, partly thanks to her partner and partly because a brick to a seraph's head is hardly a hit. The blonde listens as her friend lectures her about being too impulsive, something Arabelle doesn't normally do. She's not the type to do things on a whim, nor is she the type to act recklessly, but being cooped up in a stuffy mansion for hours tends to make one antsy. "Yes mom, I get it." she mutters with an eyeroll. She gave a quick look in the direction the boy and his savior had ran off to before focusing again on the path ahead of them. "I'll come back for him sooner or later." she says, clinical smirk in place. Once the blonde sets her mind on a target, there's no changing her mind. And the small, pretty boy would make a fantastic play thing.

Eventually the two make it back to the hunters' mansion. Arabelle's feet come to a halt just a few feet from the entrance. Her pale orbs examine the door from top to bottom and a sigh leaves her lips. "Let's not." she says, suddenly turning to face the redhead. Arabelle knows Valentina hates being inside the mansion just as much as she does. It shouldn't take much convincing to get her to go along with whatever Arabelle plans to do. "I really don't feel like looking at the Chief's face right now, or anyone else's for that matter."

Cat rolled her eyes at June's remark in a half-joking manner. She was never one to fully relax, but she did try to make an effort to be nice. It disappointed Cat that people didn't expect too much kindness out of her, but at least she knew that they didn't aim too high.
"True, the group could live without you," Cat remarked bluntly, having overheard his response to Dominika's angry yet concerned question, "but then again, that would make me become a completely moody demon. It's much more pleasant with you." Cat never put much sincerity in her tone when speaking, but people knew when she was handing out compliments. Compliments weren't particularly rare, but hearing sincerity in Cat's voice was. However, if you knew her well enough, a blunt, emotionless compliment would be more than enough.
"Alright," June started to speak again. "You guys can lecture me all you want later, but right now we need to get the hell out of here."
"Yeah, we should go," Cat agreed. "A simple brick to the head of a seraph is hardly an effective hit. Chances are that she's already recovered. She'll have no problem tracking us to this building, and if she finds us, she'll probably have her gang with her too. We'll be neck-deep in shit if that happens."

ImageDominika never considered herself a good fighter or even a good person. She just did things
because she had to, or was expected to do. Yet, she could clearly notice Cat's bitterness over
her and for some reason, she couldn't care less. The girl barely talked to anyone in the
Outcast's group, so she tried to be as neutral and fair when it came to judgments. She
would not ever treat Cat different than anybody else and that was it.
Dominika joined Bryant as she started to think about how they could walk back to the base
without being noticed by other Seraphs, even tho that was impossible since June was with
them and the boy could not contain his smiles and sparkles even for a goddamn second!
Taking a deep breath and knowing that it would be a long walk, the brunette turned around
to Catarina and Jun with a neutral facial expression and the usual bitter-sweet tone "Are you
two taking much longer to get the f*ck out of here or are you waiting for the Seraphs to

come and get you two?" With her calm yet sarcastic voice, Nika shook her head slightly, without adding any unnecessary comments, before continuing to walk next to Bryant. "Okay strategist go ahead and take us back before we get killed...Please."

"Are you two taking much longer to get the fuck out of here or are you waiting for the Seraphs to come and get you two?" Cat rolled her eyes at the older outcast, feeling a bitter taste come up in her mouth as Dominika scolded June and the blonde with her typical sarcastic and "I'm-better-than-everybody-else" voice. To be honest, Cat never really bothered to wonder what was churning in Dominika's mind. Maybe it was because the 22-year-old reminded Cat of some pathetic excuse for an Elite who happened to look exactly like the brunette. That much-too-stupid Elite was named Kanani Zeegers. She and Dominika shared a striking resemblance, and Kanani thought she was on top of the damned world. In reality, she was far from it, but she got Cat so riled up that anyone who looked the slightest bit like Kanani was immediately on Cat's hate list. Dominika must be damn special; Cat didn't even get the temptation to strangle the brunette...yet.
"Okay, strategist," Dominika said in her thickly sarcastic voice. "Go ahead and take us back before we get killed...please."
Openly dependent on others, Cat's mind immediately marked down. Will keep up her snobby and aloof facade. Ah, yes. Did Cat mention that she mentally took notes of the people she strongly disliked? If they were her enemies, Cat would get more accurate an unbiased reads on them. However, if they were someone like Dominika - a person Cat had to stick with despite how much she would kill to get rid of - then Cat's observations would be biased and swayed. Now that she thought about it, it probably wasn't a facade.
This, Cat grumbled in her mind, is why I'll never be a scientist. Or any job that requires other people. Same difference.

| Bryant |

Bryant felt relief as both June and Nika told him they were alright. He couldn't deal with the guilt if either of them had gotten hurt. Bryant could not bear responsible of someone getting hurt, because he wasn't careful on the mission. While June and him were close, Nika was a rocky situation. She isn't exactly friendly so Bryant wasn't sure how to approach her. Being friendly is his usual approach, but her careless attitude conflicted with his awkward way of making friends through speaking. He more observed her and tried to figure out how to approach her. He would say they are more neutral acquaintances. When Cat showed up, he could breathe a bit better. She was the muscle in the group, a huge surprise to him. He always found her to be asset and smart as well. He somewhat thought of her as a younger sister, going through a phase. Well, she is a teenager. He's glad to add muscle to the equation for getting back to their base. He knew the best way even with the Seraphim added.
"Are you two taking much longer to get the fuck out of here or are you waiting for the Seraphs to come and get you two?"
One of the reasons Bryant wasn't sure about Nika is her lack of togetherness. By togetherness, he means not wanting to get along with other people. He understood she's being herself, but Bryant despises conflict within the group. They are all stuck in this situation together. They can still work together. Bryant knows Nika and Cat may never work out, but it would help if they did.
"Easy. I have a way even the Seraphim won't find."
He memorized the many rock formations in No Man's land and he found a underground tunnel that lead back to camp. It was still daylight so as long as they left now, they wouldn't have to worry about the darkness.
"Okay strategist go ahead and take us back before we get killed...Please."
Bryant could feel the sarcasm directed at him. He was used to it, but it doesn't mean he likes.
"I'll have us back before you can say Seraphim. It's an expression, don't attempt it, please."
He gestured for the group to follow him as they made their way towards the tunnel. He could still feel tension between Catarina and Dominika though. He wanted to lighten the mood, but that was more June's department. He did have something to lift their spirits a bit.
"I found what was left of an old library. I found a few books! A math book, Hamlet, and a sewing book for beginners." Bryant made sure to find something everyone would like. Books were one of the few things he missed from New Eden. They had a fantastic library! "Maybe I'll be the new and improved tracker!"
Bryant wanted to hit himself in the face, again. Why can't he say anything right?

June || "The Vitamin"
Dialogue: #e6e600

Image Junsoo knows all too well the constant tension between Nika and Cat as he's usually playing mediator when their boss Victory isn't around, so he's not even remotely surprised by the stiffness between the two. Still, even clueless June knows it's neither the time nor place to argue. Nika's sarcasm is expected, but June can't help but chuckle quietly at Bryant's response. Having him with them is a huge relief. "You two should try to loosen up and smile a bit more" the boy says pointedly as he picks up the sack of wood he had set down. His attention directed to the two girls on either side of him as they follow Bryant back to safety. "You're both too pretty to have premature wrinkles". To an outsider it may sound like flirting, but the two should know June well enough to know that he doesn't say anything he doesn't mean. Any flirting is purely unintentional.

"I found what was left of an old library. I found a few books! A math book, Hamlet, and a sewing book for beginners. Maybe I'll be the new and improved tracker!" June stifles a laugh at idea of Bryant learning how to sew. His sudden announcement of the library is random and out of context, but June can tell what he's trying to do. Not to mention that the idea of an old library really intrigues him. The last time he held and read an actual book was in his last years of high school. "Good! If we ever need to track down new recipes or DIYs for dummies i'll be the first to nominate you for the search!" he says, gently elbowing the man's side. Now that they're further from the danger zone and closer to the base, the air around them feels much lighter. As expected, Bryant gets them all to the safety of their "home" in record time with everyone in one piece. Junsoo lets out a breath he hadn't realized he was holding and sets down some of the wood they collected. The main room is empty,
meaning the others are probably elsewhere in the shelter busied with their own thing. "An old library does sound kind of cool." June panders, taking a seat in one of the old couches. "Do you think the boss will ever let me leave the base again, cause if so, I'd love to see it."

Cat followed Bryant towards the tunnel. He was the oldest in the group, 9 years older than Cat, but the blonde didn't have any problems with him. Although she was almost taken aback by his friendliness when they first met, since Cat wasn't exactly used to his form of kindness, he had grown on her. He was almost like an older brother in some way. That is, if Cat had grown up among different people. She was definitely not complaining about her upbringing, but Bryant didn't seem to be the "survival of the fittest" type of person. Looking back, Cat seriously wondered how the seraphs called the damned New Eden a utopia.
"You two should loosen up more," June joked, directing his words at Cat and Dominika. He picked up his sack of wood. "You're both too pretty to have premature wrinkles."
Cat raised an eyebrow. "Well, I'll probably have them anyway considering how much sleep I get," the blonde retorted, half-friendly.
"I found what was left of an old library. I found a few books! A math book, Hamlet, and a sewing book for beginners." Cat perked up as Bryant mentioned a math book. Sure, she wasn't a big fan of reading, but Cat was dramatically better at math than any other academic subject. She learned to enjoy it. "Maybe I'll be the new and improved tracker!" Bryant joked. If Cat was the friendly strategist, she'd be slapping her forehead at her own stupidity. At least Dominika didn't retort back at him.
"Good! If we ever need to track down new recipes or DIYs for dummies I'll be the first to nominate you for the search!" June joked cheerily. See, this is why Cat liked him. He was too friendly for someone not to. The group entered the main room of the shelter, which was vacant until the four walked in.
"An old library does sound kind of cool." June panders, taking a seat in one of the old couches. "Do you think the boss will ever let me leave the base again, cause if so, I'd love to see it."
"Aw, come on," Cat scolded June, not unkindly. "If you even get a punishment, I'm sure you'll worm your way out of it soon enough."

June || "The Vitamin"

Image Junsoo smiled in amusement at Cat's response. It's true he often got away with things others may not be able to, but he wouldn't call it "worming" his way out of things as she put. Still, Jun knows the intention behind her statement, or at least he likes to think that he does. "Thanks Cat, you sure have a way with words!" he teases in the most lighthearted way possible before taking a quick survey of the room. Victory, or anyone else for that matter, don't seem to be anywhere within earshot. Jun takes into consideration Cat and Nika's suggestions, but he has a better one. One that doesn't involve getting the boss' permission.

"We could talk to the boss..." he says as if actually thinking about it, but has no intentions of doing so. "Or...we could just go right now!" He gets to his feet, immediately locking eyes with Bryant and giving him that innocent puppy look that's worked many times before. After all, he's the one that knows where the library is. If he doesn't agree to take Jun then there's no point in attempting to go. Of course he could go and try to find it on his own, but he's one-hundred and ten percent that not one of the three in the room with him would allow it. "We can leave the others the firewood and a note so they know we're okay and will be back soon." he adds cheerfully, switching his gaze over to Cat and Nika in an effort to get some form of agreement. Though they don't have to go, Junsoo would like it if they tagged along. Maybe even just one of them since they're most likely not too keen on being near one another.

Siren || Hypnosis + Sensory control
Dialogue: #00ff00

ImageEven if Arabelle needed Valentina to act like a mother sometimes, that doesn't necessarily mean that she enjoys it. Quite the contrary. Arabelle hates being told what to do. The only reason she follows orders is because she's smart, and she knows what would happen if she didn't. Not because she's particularly a good, obedient seraph. In fact, it's probably quite the opposite. She sighed wearily as she watched Nathaniel and Valentina go their own ways before she did the same herself.

A hot shower does sound nice at a time like this. Arabelle isn't feeling the best, to say the least, especially after her new fixation slipped right through her fingers. Just another inch and she would have made that boy hers, marking him for life. She grunted in frustration as the thought of the brick slamming against her head came back to her. Such an amateur move. After she secures her new toy, she'll have to make sure to get a little taste of revenge.

The shower ended up taking longer than she anticipated, but the hot water against her cold skin felt too amazing to leave. Eventually though, she did finish up and get dressed in her usual simple yet classy attire. The chief is expecting them soon, for whatever reason he's managed to cook up this time, but Arabelle isn't the type to be early to things. They're all supposed to meet up in ten minutes, which means she has nine minutes to spare. After making herself comfortable on the lavish bed, she takes a book from the nightstand, opening it to where she last was. She can at least get a few pages in before having to go back to work.

ImageNika shrugged with a careless expression. That she'd make sure to keep them safe if Jun
decided to go find the library, it was quite obvious. But she didn't really like the thought of
walking around without consentiment, althought she was used to running away during quiet
and endless nights. The boss would be so fucking pissed off if she noticed that Nika and Cat
were irresponsible enought to let Jun sneak out of the base. Grabbing a cigarette out of the
pack and lighting it, Dominika looked at him for a second before turning her sight back to
the small objects between her fingertips. "Sorry, kiddo. Not gonna happen, at least not for
now. I'm not really in the mood for that at the moment."

The brunette kept walking towards their main construction, in which the boss used to be found coordinating things. Before she'd reached the building, though, Nika deviated her way and entered the small messy caban that she used to spend most part of the time, that also seemed more like a bunker, but it was her favorite place to be: very quiet and cozy. As the woman kept smoking her cigarette and observing the movement over her balcon's view, she noticed a familiar figure approaching. Nika couldn't tell who was it at first, but it endeed disturbed her for a moment, as she clearly loved to be by herself. "Hello?" She asked a bit confused, as she finally recognized Bryant's face.

June || "The Vitamin"
Dialogue: #e6e600

Image Junsoo has never really been the type to use looks to get himself things he wants, but at a time like this it's very convenient, especially if he can avoid being scolded for just a bit longer. He can't hold down the smile when Bryant, in his own words, gives him a yes. Truth be told, he's a bit disappointed that Nika won't be joining them, but they can't really force her to do something she doesn't want to do. Especially when it's not really necessary. And maybe she'll change her mind.

"June, make sure to grab a better weapon!"

"Yesir!" the twenty two year old gives Bryant a quick salute before he leaves the room, and immediately begins to rummage for supplies and a weapon, as he was told. Even after all his time in No man's Land, Junsoo still isn't comfortable holding real weapons, so putting the handgun into his pocket feels just as wrong as he did the first time he did it. Still, he's not an idiot. He knows if it comes down to it, that gun will be his only chance at seeing another day. He eyes the old weapon again with a mild frown settling on his usual cheerful features. Come on, June. You probably won't even have to use it. Up until now, he's only had to put it to use once. It felt terrible, but at least he had the consolation that he helped his team mate escape death's grip.

A subtle noise from Cat reminds him that he's not the only one of the room and he suddenly lifts his gaze. She stands so calm and collected. Jun wishes he had even half of the composure she does. Sometimes it feels like she's the oldest between the two even though Jun is six years older. "Thanks for the backup" he says, leaning against one of the old couch's arms. He's not necessarily talking about her agreeing to go to the library, though that was also appreciated, but more about her showing up to help when he needs it. Even if it is her "role" in the group, it's appreciated just the same. He watches closely for her response, but a small shadow on her right arm catches his attention first. No, not a shadow, more like a cut. "Kitty-cat, your arm!" he says, albeit a bit more dramatic than necessary. He closes the space between them and lifts her arm to examine the injury closely. It's by no means a serious cut, but it's a cute nonetheless. "This could get infected, we need to cover that up."

Image"I remember you saying how you liked drama books. Hamlet's more of a play, but there's still
drama. More complicated and not a happy ending, but... drama... Yeah... Here."

Nika took a few steps foward, staring at Bryant with raised brows. She blew a smoke ring, and watched
as it almost reached his face, except it didn't. The girl was surprised, of course. People there were not
an example of kindness with her. Of course the brunette was not expecting any less, since her attitudes
might made them feel uncomfortable sometimes. She opened an almost unnoticeable smile, and held
the book carefully, knowing that anything readable was as rare as gold in their condition of Outcast.
"That's nice..." She said in a low tone and leafed through the book. She missed the feel of old paper in

her fingertips, like they could warm up her cold thin hands. "Drama books are my favorite because they are more realistic. Happy endings have always made me sad." She thought it was fun to see Bryant's clear discomfort when talking to her, but of course she wasn't gonna make him feel even worse for no reason.
"So... you came all the way through the base just to give me the book? I bet Jun and Cat asked you to come here to convince me about their nonsense plan."The brunette curled her lips and crossed her arms, her green eyes staring at him intimidatingly yet curious to see his answer.

June || "The Vitamin"
Dialogue: #e6e600

Image
Jun fully expected Cat to protest and insist that it's not a big deal, which is why he doesn't even give her a chance to finish. After responding with a simple "Mhm" he gathers up a few things. A clean towel, rubbing alcohol and a thin piece of cloth long enough to wrap around her arm comfortably. It's true it's not a serious wound, but no man's land isn't exactly the cleanest place in the world.
Even a simple papercut could get infected in no time.

Jun's eyebrows knit together as he concentrates on cleaning the cut. Now that the blood is cleared, it appears to be a lot deeper than he thought. "How did you not feel this before?" he asks, genuinely curious and concerned. It's still not serious, but definitely not nothing. After making sure it's as clean as it can be, Jun carefully wraps the cloth to cover it well and ties it with a small bow. He's by no means a doctor. He wasn't part of the elite class nor did he ever want to be, but he's knowledgeable on the basics. That's more than enough for times like these. "There" he says, taking a step back to make sure the cloth is tight enough that it won't fall off, but not so tight that it's uncomfortable for the girl. Cat may technically be the "muscle" of the group, but being the youngest means she too needs the others to look after her. Even if she doesn't want it.

The sound of footsteps takes Jun's attention away from cat as they zero in on an approaching shadow. Bryant's face shows up a few seconds later. Jun smiles, almost automatically. "Let's go then." There's no sign of Nika, which means she probably didn't change her mind after all. Cat will probably be happy about that.

"How did you not feel this before?" Jun asked curiously, concern evident in his voice. The cut happened to be deeper than it appeared before. Cat shrugged.
"My mind works like that," she told the older brunette. "Of course I notice these things, but if my mind thinks it's not important enough, then it brushes it aside so I can effectively do work. Eventually, I forget about the cuts. At least, until I'm in a good enough situation for my mind to alert me about injuries."
Jun carefully wrapped the cloth around Cat's arm and tied a small bow. "There," June said, stepping back. Cat lifted her arm, peering at his handiwork.
"Oh, looky-here," she mused. "Tied by the artisan himself. I feel so honored." Cat gave a mock bow.
Cat immediately turned her head sharply at the sound of impending footsteps. She relaxed herself, realizing that it was only Bryant and not one of those damned Seraphs. Even after half a decade in No Man's Land, Cat was still too much on guard. Jun smiles brightly, almost on impulse. "Let's go then."
Dominika wasn't walking anywhere near Bryant, so she must have stuck with her decision to stay behind. Cat was glad, and even though she didn't show it on her face, Bryant and Jun knew it too. Cat was so stiff around Dominika, she refused to call her by her nickname.
"You know, despite your crazy shenanigans and out of control curiosity," Cat remarked dryly as the trio started along the path, directing her words to Jun. "It was hard to describe you as a rebel. Troublemaker, maybe, but not rebel. Even after being kicked out of New Eden." Cat gave Jun a cheery, if slightly sarcastic, smile. "You'll go long ways, Sunshine."
