Shower Rooms with Sauna

Ayase leaned in closer to the skeletons lying on the ground. They would have certainly died on the spot due to the beams that fell on them. Or it could be the things on their head. As she moved closer, the objects lodge in the cranium was a shard of concrete that fell from the ceiling. She stood up and addressed the group.

"Well, earthquakes and tsunamis aren't gonna cut it like you guys said. But I don't think they lost their lives while fighting with each other. Their hands seemed like they were reaching out to something when the ceiling caved in on them. The concrete slabs lodged on their heads probably fell after these two have died. So conflict between these two is out of the question. Most probably, they were trying to escape during the course of the terrible thing that happened when the ceiling caved in on them. But the question is what." Ayase offered her explanation. Upon seeing that there is nothing else to be found in this room, she instructed them to leave.

As they were exiting the room, she remembered the large pool within the hotel. Quickly, she informed the group. "Hey! Want to take a look around the pool? It's pretty big so I think we should split up to cover more ground. We'll meet up back at the bar after fifteen minutes. Misano-chan, you go with Elizabeth to check the main pool. Ryuko -chan and Rachel can check the girl's side shower. As for me--" Ayase took some spare flashlights from her bag and handed one to each pair. "I'll check the men's side sauna."

She led them downstairs where they began their investigation. Arriving at the sauna, Ayase was startled to see a man's carcass inside. It didn't seem like it decomposed naturally. It was more like this one was eaten by something. The guy's uniform was lying neatly on the chairs though so she took a closer look at that. Managing to find his ID card, she learned that this poor fella was some sort of researcher who was staying in a hotel that time. She wasn't able to find his room key so she turned to leave. Curiosity got the better of her and she turned back to see what was inside the actual sauna. Upon opening, she saw a lot of cockroaches as big as an open hand, crawling all over the walls. She immediately shut the door, bumping the dead guy's carcass, sending a couple of roaches running out from his ribcage. Ayase immediately stepped on the two bugs and left, taking only the ID of the dead guy with her as she headed to the bar.

Rachel outrunned Ryuko and grabbed the flashlight Ayase was handing them out. When they reached the girl's shower doors, Rachel was trying to open them, without results. it seemed that they were blocked from the inside. She handed the flashlight over to Ryuko and smiled.

"Hold it, please, I think I can handle it" she said, walked towards the doors resolutely and kicked, using her heavy combat boot. That gave effect above her expectations. The lightly constructed doors broke into two uneven parts right there where she had kicked. "Best tool I've ever had" she said with a grin.

There was no time to say anything else. Rachel jumped back as the remains of the doors (and something that blocked it) fell off the hinges to the floor. She shrugged as she realized it was another skeleton, a corpse of a woman in some sort of hotel uniform, resembling a standard maid's outfit. 'It's not the first body I've seen here' She thought to herself, as curiosity prevailed over her fear. "I guess I begin to get used to the dead people" She said to Ryuko with a wide smile. "Be my guest." Rachel invited Ryuko to enter the shower rooms.

Ryuko kept her stoic face up. After entering, she tossed the flashlight to her. "Here, catch. We're splitting up." She said in a monotone voice and pulled up her gas mask.

"Alright, time to put your skills to the test."

"You go find what you can around the shower area. I'll take the remaining area and the sauna, are we clear?" She went off, first to the dead body of the maid. She gave it an experimental kick to the side, to find that the body had decomposed- it was a skeleton now. She frowned, squashing around two to three cockroaches that were originally stuck to the bones of the body. They had tried to scamper off, only to be crushed under her red sneaker. After that, with caution- and looking out for more bugs- she started to fumble around the skeleton, eventually finding an ID. Pocketing the ID away, she stood up and headed back to her original position when they had come in.

With the cracks in the wall, the afternoon sun was shining down. Using that as her only source of light and trying to heighten her sense of sight somehow, Ryuko started to look around. Floor was dry- Of course, it's gone 20 years without anyone using it. Looking at the walls- she didn't dare touch them-, it seemed to have grime on it as well. Finishing her exploration around the shower room itself, she proceeded to the sauna.

Upon entering the girl's sauna- she was sure Ayase had covered the boy's sauna, right?- she was surprised to find that it was actually kinda clean and was still somewhat maintained. It surprised her. 20 years? Still alright? She was gonna have to figure that out next time, though it wasn't exactly her main goal.

Walking out, she turned to Rachel. "What've you got over there? Any luck?"
