Jenna was normally trying to do her best and try to work but she didn't know how to. She was just in a trance this morning. She couldn't focus on anything. Nothing that seemed out of the ordinary it was just one of those days where she could not focus. Where nothing mattered. She was not always like that normally she was pretty good at focusing and paying attention.

She grabbed out her cellphone and punched in a buddy from work. Christopher and pulled out her text pad.
______Text Message______
Hey Chris,
Please come to my office I would love someone to talk too.
Xoxo Jenna
______End of Text Message________

She waited for a reply from Christopher.

Just another day at the office. Driven, wasn't really what his boss would say about Christopher. He rarely got much more than a minimal amount done and always seemed distracted. Christopher didn't mind though, the crappy cash this job gave him wasn't worth anything compared to what he could get with some more risk. Speaking of, they would really have to do something about the kids who were pushing on the streets. At first it wasn't a big issue, but then the dealers started to attract firefights, those weren't good for business.

The buzz of his cell phone brought reality back.
Hey Chris,
Please come to my office I would love someone to talk too.
Xoxo Jenna

It really wasn't much of a good idea to have two members so close. The authorities were no strangers to the fact that "birds of a feather flock together." However, it did give the two an excuse to interact with each other regularly.

Okay give me a minute

After sending the reply, Christopher rose from his chair and made way towards Jenna's office. The walk wasn't a long one, and no one bothered to stop him. He didn't talk much with others at the office, after all he was busy, but not with work obviously. After arriving at her office, Chris gave a moderate knock on the door and turned the handle, opening the door.

As she heard a knock and then found that he was at the door a smile came across her face. "Hey, Christopher how is everything?" She asked him with a smile. Pushing another chair she had over. Waiting for him to sit she smiled. She had seen him many times and she knows him. He was a good friend. Someone she trusted. Someone she really enjoyed to spend time with. Someone that meant a lot to her.

She smiled at him. "How is work going for you?" She asked him with a smile.

"Oh you know," He spoke while sitting down. "The usual, not doing much. I'm just happy the day's almost over." Christopher flashed a smile. "How about you?"

Chris and Jenna had known each other for some time now. She was one of the few people he actually talked to at work. The two had actually gotten to know each other from...another job, and found that they got along rather well. Sometimes they would go out with some others after work, but not tonight. Tonight was special...no, not the romantic kind of special.

"Yeah just wasn't feeling it. I think I need to re-do the office then I can maybe get more inspiration to have things done." She said with a smile.

Chris was someone she trusted. With all her problems with trust she didn't have that with him. She could have her life with him. Somehow she hadn't ever had any romantic feelings for him. But things changed so quickly for a friend of hers so she didn't know what to think really.

She looked at him and smiled. "What do you got planned for tonight?" She asked him. Wondering what was running through his head.

"All you care about is spending." he meant it as a joke, there wasn't anything wrong with getting new things. And they both had the means of affording such things. "Doesn't really matter for me, so what if I get promoted? I'll get what, $50 dollars more at the end of the month?" Which of course led to what was going on later today.

"Sorry, I've got some family things to get to." "Family business was what members used instead of Mafia related activities. "My brother asked if I could help out with taking care of the girls. He's taking them to the park, and you know how bad people are now. Maybe you can come along, we're thinking of taking them out to dinner later." Again, words with different meanings. The last statement referred to the escorts. Jeff was the main one in charge of dealing them on the streets, but sometimes it's good to have partner.

She looked at him and smiled. "its not all about the money I just like to do stuff with it." She said with a smile thinking about the pottery classes she had last month,

"Sure I will help with what ever you need." Of course he was a double agent and she would never want to hurt him but this was wrong and she knew it and she wondered if he knew it. She smiled at him wondering what was running through his brain.

Wrong? Maybe. It was against the law, but the risk was worth the pay. It was a gamble, and Christian was pretty confident in his poker face. If he was ever asked, Chris would probably admit it was wrong. He honestly didn't care enough to stop it though. Anyways, he was still a nice guy, and the same for Jenna. They weren't bad people, just in a bad business. Unfortunately, the cops wouldn't care enough to decipher that.

But why would the cops come into picture, they'd always been running pretty clean in this area. The small-time dealers were the only turbulence they had in years. Christopher wondered what it would be like if he somehow lost his second "job." He'd have to sell a bunch of things and be in a lot of trouble. That didn't need to be thought of though, if anything was ever a threat, he'd shut it down. Chris originally didn't really enjoy hurting others, but if he or someone he cared about was under fire, it was an option.

The man looked up at the clock hanging on the wall. "Hey, looks like works finally over." He said, rising from his chair and returning it to the original spot. "Are you staying after or anything? Because I'm outta here."

He seemed like he was deep in thought she knew the feeling and had it happen a lot to her. She hated it but it happened. Soemtimes you got so deep in thought that it was hard to break free like it was a curse.

She stared at the tiking clock. The room so quiet just listening to the tick... tock... tick. It drove her a little mad and was glad when he spoke. She smiled at him.

"No sure I will go with you." She said standing up on her feet looking at him. He seemed in a really good mood.

"Great, let's get our stuff together before heading out. I'll see you outside the door."

Christopher left Jenna's office and stacked a few papers in his own, slipping some into his briefcase. Heading out, he stopped just outside the door into the building. Chris couldn't wait to drive his new car, let alone show it off to his friend.

He hoped Jenna would be out soon.

"Okay I will be out in a sec." She said with a smile towards him. He was a good guy. Something why she hated her job both of them.

She grabbed her purse and a few things and looked at him. "Here I am." She said with a smile. She looked at him and began to walk. "Well you drive?"

"Yeah, I've got it." Walking through the parking lot, Chris spun the new pair of keys in his fingers. With the push of a button, the car beeped, drawing attention to the new Dodge Charger sedan. It had cost him, but that hollow feeling washed right away when he heard the rumble of that V8 engine and the air whooshing in through the sunroof.

"So, what do you think?" He said with a vibrant smile.

Jenna looked at Chris. “Looks like an awesome car.” She said with a smile looking at him. She thought it was pretty cool. She opened the passenger seat and hopped in. It felt lovely. She loved it. It was lovely she was in love already with it. “Amazing seats how can I get it from you?” She said as a joke to him.

She thought it was pretty funny who knew what he thought about it most likely not too much. She began looking through the different compartments. There were quite a few before opening one she turned on the radio. She loved music. While that was running the way she liked she then quickly opened this one.

"Wait!" but it was already too late. The glove compartment revealed the shine of the chrome plating on the .357 revolver. He quickly shut the compartment, looking around the lot. The windows were pretty well tinted, but you never knew. Smiling weakly, Christopher opened his mouth.

"So...what are you thinking about for the weekend?" He wasn't sure how Jenna would react. The gun wasn't legal, nor was carrying it without a permit.

Jenna knew Chris wasn't a bad guy. Well from what she knew of him. And unfortunatly everyone had their deep dark secrets. And for that reason was kept secret.

She smiled at him when he changed the subject. "I don't know i might visit mom and dad they been bugging me to see them." She said looking at him wondering what he was thinking.

"Are we going to talk about the gun?"
