It was finally here, the biggest launch of his career. The Excursion -- advertised for being affordable for any person with cabins from only $86 a night, The Excursion was the least expensive cruise ship known to date. With business booming and a person assistant keeping everything on track he knew he had to be on the first voyage to the Caribbean. After setting up his office and making sure business would go without a hitch he moved into the presidential suite and prepared for 7 days of sun, sand and his favorite, women on vacation. After call the last cruise he'd been on was a little over a year ago when he met Brooklyn.

That had not ended well. He met the most amazing girl he'd ever known, only for their entire relationship to be swept under the rug two weeks later. He had walked up behind her and told her she was the most beautiful woman he'd seen, a classic line usually used on every woman he favored but she was different. Cameron had a strict rule about not dating the staff, so when he swept Brooklyn off her feet she kind of just... hid it from him. Well, like it always happens Cameron found out. He immediately stopped contact with her. When they reached the next port, he wrote her a check for $5,000 and fired her, leaving her in Orlando at dock to get home and continuing with his business.

Over the next year he had received calls, emails, texts... all of which he ignored without reading. He didn't need liars and fake people around him just for his money, and why else would a pretty cruise attendant lie to her boss if it wasn't for money? He had been so impossible with her, she was forced to make a reservation on The Excursion and take a cruise she didn't want, and really... couldn't afford.

----

All of that was over now though, sitting in his office as the ship made it's way towards the first port he went over some expenses and financial reports with Hilary - his life saver and personal assistant. She would do anything to make sure Cameron's life was a little easier each day and he loved her for that... and paid her well. "Hey Hil... can you grab the mail for today! I haven't been through it yet."

When his assistant came back with the stack of mail she set it on his desk and said, "Please.. try to put it into the sorted slots after you rip it open. That's all I ask." He rolled his eyes and said, "Yes Sergeant Mail Patrol, Ma'am." They had a great relationship but knew how to work when it came down to it. That's exactly what Cameron needed to keep him on track as well.

He picked up the first envelope on top of the stack, a bill from Verizon Wireless for the ships internet, cable and phone, he tossed it into the sorter Hilary had put on his desk into the slot marked "Bills" and continued on. Next was a charity organization asking for a donation, he tossed it into another prelabled slot, "Charity Requests." They got them all of the time and Cameron usually picked a few at the end of each month to grant after Hilary had been through them all. Third, he came across a light blue envelope with small girly handwriting on the front... His name. Every cruise, Cameron was inundated with invitations from female passengers to join him for dinner, or private parties. He tucked his finger under the flap, the envelope was too small for a pair of panties, too thin for a photo, but just the right size for a room key.

Cameron pulled the card from the envelope and glanced down. To his surprise there was a photo. He took a deep breath instantly as he looked at a picture of two babies with blonde hair and blue eyes. "What the hell?" he said outloud. He read the message scribbled below Congratulations, Daddy. It's twins!. He looked all over the envelope for some inkling of who it could be from. Finally, he turned the card over and read, "We need to talk, come to cabin 2A on the Rivera Deck." .

He looked at the map of the ship on his deck and saw that the Rivera deck was the lowest deck on board, the $86 rooms. He called in Hilary to get him the name of the guest there. She came back mere minutes later, "It's Brooklyn sir."

(wow that was long, I'm sorry! haha)

It all started when Brooklyn got her dream job on a cruise ship. She had always wanted to travel and see the world and this allowed her to while being paid. However that was until she met Cameron. It had been a whirlwind romance. She hadn’t meant to lie to him but he had walked up behind her while she had been having the afternoon off, he had surprised her with the way he spoke about her and made her feel like most beautiful girl in the world. At first she had tried to get him to leave her alone but he had insisted. One thing happened after another and soon she was swept off her feet. Despite the lie, Brooklyn fell in love with him. He was sweet and kind and he made her laugh. There was a real connection between the two of them.

On many occasions she had tried to tell him who she was, that in fact she was not one of the wealthy women aboard the ship but in fact one of the staff. However each time she did, Brooklyn lost her confidence. She had seen the way that he looked at the staff and didn’t want that to change how things were between them. For she had fallen in love with him and she would have done anything to make him happy. It had been the most exciting two weeks of her life and for once she felt loved and cared for. Yet it all came crashing down as he had found her, dressed in her work clothes and the truth had come out. He had refused to see her, just walking away. Brooklyn had tried to make contact with him on the ship but every single time his assistant Hilary had stopped her, saying he didn’t want to see her. Broken hearted she had gone back to her duties on the ship, only to find at the next port that she had been fired.

Brooklyn had been so upset and hurt by his actions. She knew that she had done the trong thing but didn’t believe it to be as bad as him firing her and just leaving her at the next dock. She wanted nothing more to do with him as she stepped off the boat but a few months later she realised that she was going to have to live with the consequences of what they did for a long time. She was pregnant.

***********
Ever since she had found out that she was pregnant Brooklyn had tried to contact Cameron to let him know. However every single time she tried to call him he would hang up the phone, or wouldn’t return her calls. She knew that he was avoiding her but she needed to get into contact with him. She had tried emailing him or sending letters but still there was no reply to any of them. Brooklyn had assumed that he hadn’t even opened the emails or letters, knowing they were from her and not bothering. It hurt that he could just sweep her under the rug and forget about her after the few weeks of happiness they had shared.

After a few months she stopped trying to, determined to raise this baby by herself. However to her surprise, it was twins. Still she didn’t contact him. It wasn’t until the babies were born that Brooklyn tried once more to get a hold of him but still he hadn’t returned her calls. This only made her more determined to do this on her own and with optimism she had tried to be the best mother she could.

It didn’t last long. This bills came flooding in and it wasn’t like she could afford to work enough hours to not only feed one mouth but three. On top of this it was rare that she got a full night sleep. Joshua would wake up screaming and wake Benjamin up who would then start screaming and it would take hours for Brooklyn to get both of them back to sleep. After six months of trying to make it work she came to the conclusion she couldn’t do this on her own. Not only couldn’t she do it, but it wasn’t just her responsibility. Both of these babies had a father and even if he didn’t want to see her he had an obligation to take care of them. It was then that she set out to try and get his attention.

******

And that was how Brooklyn ended up sitting on the bed in her room on Cameron’s brand new cruise ship. She couldn’t afford it and had borrowed the money from a friend. Despite it being cheap, it was still too expensive for her. To do this she had to give up her job and even sell her apartment to take this huge risk on Cameron. It had to work, it just had to. She wasn’t wearing anything fancy, just a pair of tight fitting jeans and a simple white shirt. Brooklyn didn’t have the money to wear anything nicer. One of the good things about having no money and breast feeding both of the boys when they were born was the fact that she had lost all of the baby weight. She had sacrificed a lot for her sons.

The boys were sound asleep in the room just off her own which was a good thing. Brooklyn needed a little time to herself at the moment to calm her nerves. Once she had boarded the ship she had handed an envelope with a picture of the boys on it to one of the staff to give to Cameron. If his schedule was still the same then it would be any minute now that he would be getting it. She had thought about sending a long letter to him but doubted that he would read through it all once he saw her name signed at the end. Instead she had used the picture with hopes that it would get his attention.

All Brooklyn could do was sit there and wait for the knock at the door she was hoping and praying would come. She didn’t want him back. Brooklyn had loved him but he had broken her heart and pushed her aside without a second thought. All she wanted from him was the financial support that was owed to her boys... they deserved better than what she could give them, but she also didn’t believe Cameron deserved to known them.

With his head pounding from the new revelation and his temper straining to stay under control, he stormed down the hallway and to the elevator. He stepped out and walked onto the lowest deck of the ship. The rooms were tight, and cramped down here and he could have swore he told Hilary he didn't even want them rented out. Finally he stopped in front of the room... 2A. Before he could raise his first to knock the small door was opened and there she was. Brooklyn Lewis.

He didn't even utter a hello. He wanted to get straight to the point and get all of this garbage over with, finally have that lying, no good Brooklyn Lewis out of his life forever. He turned on his coldest attitude and looked straight at her with his luminous blue eyes."I know what you want me to think.. the question is. Why do you want me to think it? What are you after? What now Brooklyn?" The questions he asked were cold, shallow. He had no interest in how she was doing or any of the other irrelevant things she had to say. "What's the game this time Brooke?"

They went back and forth about how this wasn't a game for her, how it wasn't a game back then and that she really had tried to tell him. She told him that she had loved him and he laughed in her face. He wasn't exactly sure he knew what love was, but it certainly wasn't lying to the person you were spending time getting to know everyday for two weeks.

He tried to take a deep breath but her scent filling the room was instantly driving him crazy all over again. He thought about the endless nights they had; champagne and strawberries for breakfast, late dinners after all of the restaurants had closed up and the finances were taken care of, clothes strung across his suite. He shook himself out of it. All of that was over now. He looked at her and started coldly again, "I get it, you didn't want to lie to me." He said sarcastically still poking at the past.

Finally, he cut to the chase. "Why don't you just tell me what the hell you want to say so we can end this again?" When she handed him a few more pictures he looked through them, touching the small babies faces softly as if he could almost touch them. "So what Brooke, a lot of people have blonde hair and blue eyes."

The moment she opened the door the arguing started. She hadn’t expected him to be happy with her but she also didn’t expect him to bring up the past so readily. When they broke up there had been no argument between them. He had simply cut all contact with her. Maybe this was the rush of emotions and expression that they both needed and it seemed neither of them was going to back down from this fight. Brooklyn stood there and listened to him as he laughed at her face as she mentioned love, and sarcastically agreed that she hadn’t meant to lie. None of that hurt as much as the cold expression he looked at her with. Brooklyn could see that he hated her and that crushed something inside of her. Despite her best hopes, she wanted him to at least seem to care a little for her. It seemed though that it was in the past.

Finally she handed him a bundle of pictures for him to look through, watching his reaction as his eyes fell upon his sons. “Yeah, a lot of babies have blonde hair and blue eyes but I am guessing a lot of babies don’t have you DNA. They are yours Cameron and I have been trying so hard to get in contact with you to tell you but you never once returned any of my calls or emails” Brooklyn said shaking her head. “You can still live in the past if you want, but I am not here about us. I know I hurt you and that it was wrong but I also know that I have two sons who need their father” She said with a sigh as she moved away from him and sat on the bed. “I know you might not believe me but I am fine with you doing a DNA test... Just don’t walk away and shut them out like you did to me” Brooklyn said in a whisper as she glanced up at him. He was still the handsome man that she remembered him to be but her heart wouldn’t allow her to even consider for a second the love she had once felt for him.

Tears came to her eyes as she ran her fingers through her hair. Brooklyn was exhausted, stressed out, and uncomfortable being here with him. She hadn’t slept the night before and the knowledge that the twins would wake up any minute now was in the front of her mind as a warning to get this over and done with as soon as possible.

"Child support." He stated. He knew that is what Brooklyn wanted if in fact these two babies were his. "I do want a DNA test, at the next port we will go off and to a lab. We can send it to a local one by your home and you can have the babies tested there. I will have it expedited." He said trying to take care of this as it was a business transaction. He looked down at the pictures in his hands and thought for a few moments.

The two twin boys he looked down at before him really did have his features; his dimples, his eyes, his hair, hell... he even saw his nose and mouth in the small boys faces. "I will humor you and give you a DNA test, but Brooklyn.. If these are my sons, I won't just be a check every month. No one will keep me from my sons. We'll have dinner tonight. My suite."

When Brooklyn objected he shook his head, "You came here to talk to me, so we'll talk. I'll see you at 7 o'clock."

Before she could argue he stood up and was out of the small cabin heading back towards his office on the second deck. His office had a beautiful view, all glass, a beautiful standing view of the entire ocean before him. He loved opening the windows he had and letting the salty air waft in as he tried to relax. He sat on his couch, feet up, shoes kicked off and with his laptop trying to research local labs at the next port.

Brooklyn felt slightly shamed when Cameron came out and stated the one thing that she needed most. If it hadn't been so desperate then she would have kicked him out right there and then but the truth of the matter was that she needed it. Once this cruise was over she had no where to go and no money to go anywhere. She needed him so that she could take care of his children. It was only the thought of the two babies asleep in the next room which made her keep her mouth shut. Brooklyn listened as he confirmed that he wanted a DNA test. She knew him and to some degree she understood why someone in his position would need to get one. It hurt that he didn't believe her but she knew that she had given him no reason to believe her. A DNA test was fine with her since she knew it would come back positive. Cameron was the only man she had ever been with.

However when he mentioned that if they were his sons then it wouldn't just be a check in the mail... Well that wasn't something she wanted. Brooklyn didn't want anything to do with him and she certainly didn't want him to take her son's away from her. Fear instantly filled her as she began to doubt if she should have come here at all. Before she could object though he was shaking his head and stating that they would have dinner tonight in his suite. Brooklyn sighed as he walked out of the room and left her sitting there on the bed. It was then that the tears hit and she spent the next few hours sobbing on her bed until the boys woke up. She fed them and bathed them, playing for a little while until it was time to put them to bed. Brooklyn had called the nanny service on the ship and organised for one of the girls to come and keep an eye on them while she was at dinner. Thankfully it was free of charge.

Brooklyn then took a shower and changed into a nicer pair of jeans and a red button up top. She looked alright but there were signs of her unhappiness in the slightly puffy marks under her eyes from the crying and the black rings also around her eyes from being so tired. Everything about her seemed exhausted and run down. When the girl came, Brooklyn told her to call Cameron's suite if there was anything wrong before heading up to his room at 7:05pm. Lightly she knocked on the door as she waited for him to come and let her in. She felt sick to her stomach at the thought of this dinner but it needed to happen.

He opened the door and took a deep breath worrying himself. He did not want to give into Brooklyn again and fall for her. He was totally in love with her after those last two weeks even though he didn't want to admit it. "Come in." He said smiling a little.

He lead her in and sat down at the small table set up with dinner ready on it. That was the luxury of having your own ship, you had a staff who would set dinner up in your room on demand. "Have a seat." He said as he sat down. "I hope this is okay for you. Do you need anything else?" He asked as he looked over the table. "So... tell me about your sons. What are their names? What are they like?" He said as they started to eat together.

Things were definitely awkward. They had spent many nights dining in his suite during those two weeks they had their flee and it was anything but awkward. They could barely get through meals, but now... it was hard to even start a conversation. Cameron hated it but he also reminded himself why it was the way it was. He ate the steak on the plate before him waiting for her answer.

Brooklyn took a deep breath as the door opened. Once more he didnt say hello but instead told her to come in and then instructed her to sit. It seemed that he wanted to act on more of a formal relationship between them if one could even call it a relationship. Cameron still seemed so cold towards her and the way he was treating her only confirmed in her mind that money and social status were important to him. He was treating her like one of his staff that he could boss around and it made her remember why she had been so afraid to tell him back during those two weeks who she was.

Brooklyn didnt say anything as she moved across the room and sat down at the table which was already set with dinnee for them. She remembered how much fun they had with dinners during those two weeks and how it had always ended with their clothes off. Tonight though he would be lucky if she stayed in the room. As he asked her if she was okay she nodded her head. However when he aksed about her sons she was quick to correct him.

"Our sons... Their names are Joshua and Benjamin" Brooklyn said quietly as she took a sip of water from the glass which was in front of her. "They are really good babies most of the time. Joshua has your smile but is more quiet than Benjamin who is constantly fussing or mumbling words which dont make much sense..." Brooklyn said as her eyes seemed to come alive while talking about them but she didnt really look at Cameron. She felt awkward sitting there. It was also clear he hadnt read her emails since she had messaged him with their names.

"That has yet to be proven." He corrected Brooklyn. He had a pretty strong feeling that Brooklyn was not lying to him and in fact these two babies were his but she had lied to him before, and so had others. He had his name, his family and his money to protect which is why he had to go through DNA testing and the such to prove that these two little boys were in fact his sons.

"Where are the boys now?" He asked taking a sip of his glass of wine. "I'm sure you miss them, right?" He asked unaware that the two little boys were actually on the ship with her.

Brooklyn frowned as he mentioned that it was yet to be proven that the boys were his. She didnt like hearing that since it was so clear ro hers who their father was. She wanted what was best for the boys and didnt push it with him... Not yet. Brooklyn was yet to begin eating as she wasnt sure if she would be able to stomach anything at the moment.

As he asked where the boys were she considered lying to him. She wasnt ready to share them despite her situation. However she knew she couldnt lie to him again. "They are downstairs with a nanny from the ship... I didnt think it was right to bring them to dinner and they were asleep" Brooklyn explained quietly.

Cameron just about choked on the piece of steak he was chewing as she said that the boys were on his ship, with one of the nannies he'd hired. He was shocked so much that his jaw dropped a little. "You're kidding me, right? They... They're here?" he asked softly as he stared at Brooklyn.

"Wh.. Where were they this afternoon? Why didn't you let me see them?" He asked a little upset by the fact. If these two boys were in fact his sons he deserved every opportunity to see them. "Tell me Brooklyn, what do you plan to do once this cruise is over? Once you prove those boys are mine, you think you're going to go back to LA and I'm going to stay here and we're going to continue on with life as usual?" He asked.

Brokklyn watched as he seemed shocked not saying anything as she shook her head when he asked if she was kidding. As he mentioned why she hadnt told him earlier though she became defensive. "They were in the ajoining room... And Cameron you didnt give me a chance to before you declared we were having dinner and stormed out!" She said shaking her head. "It is not my fault you wont stop to listen to me..." Brooklyn said speaking of both the past and present.

At the mention of the future Brooklyn shook her head. "I dont know Cameron... I dont exactly have a plan at the moment. This is it!" She said looking quite emotional. "You think I would have come here if I had any other choice. If you dont remember I was fired from my last job" Brooklyn said as she went to stand. "I should be getting back to the boys..." She said just wanting to get out of the room.

"No Dammit" He stood up walking over blocking the door. "We are having dinner Brooklyn." He said not wanting her to leave yet. He had been through a lot that day with finding out not only was he a father, but to two boys. "They will be fine. I screened those nannies myself." He said giving her one of his looks.

Cameron was not used to not getting his way and in this situation like others he planned to. "It is not my fault that you lied to your employer." He said coldly. "But we need to figure this out. Like I said, If those boys are mine, I will not be kept from them." He stated again. "I will not just send you a check each month and forget that this all happened... as much as you would like that."

Brooklyn felt very trapped as he came to stand in front of the door and said that she was not leaving. Her eyes looked around for another exit but couldnt see one as she went back to look at him. When he spoke coldly of her lying she felt like slapping him, her body trembling with a mix of emotions as she remained standing there. When he mentioned not just sending a check Brooklyn looked up into his eyes. "So what... You are going to take them away from me?" She said feeling like her worst nightmare had come true. "You have no idea what I want Cameron because you dont listen. Im not someone you can boss around" Brooklyn said standing up to him. She wasnt going to let him take her boys.

"I'm listening. I'm here, having dinner with you when I could be with just about anyone else right now on this ship and probably enjoying myself a lot more." He stated harshly. "I am trying to work things out with you since apparently I am now the father of your children." He said moving out of her way. "Go ahead and leave. I don't want to take our sons away from you but if you don't plan on being cooperative with me, I will talk to a lawyer." He stated.

"I am not trying to boss you around, or argue with you. I just want some answers. What did you think was going to happen when you came here? That I'd agree to send you money every month and not see my sons, if they are my sons. Or that everything from last year would be okay? That things would go back to how they were and we'd be one big happy family?" He asked still visibly angry. "Well earth to Brooke, things are never perfect. Neither one of those things are likely to happen." He said.

He really hadn't meant to be this cold with Brooklyn. He still cared for her, still got fired up when she was around. In fact over the last year he'd wanted to call her many times, his pride just wouldn't allow it.

Everything that came out of his mouth stung and Brooklyn could feel tears begin to roll down her cheeks. She could see that he was angry which didnt surprise her but what did hurt was the mention of him being having dinner with anyone else on the ship. Brooklyn didnt like the idea of him wkth another but she wouldnt admit that. Instead she attempted to control her tears and her own anger. However she only managed the anger as the tears rolled down her face.

"This was a mistake..." Brooklyn said as she tried to steady out her breathing a little. "Im sorry to spoil your evening and I am sorry about everything" She said as she stepped around him and reached for the door handle. He seemed to have no idea how much she had put on the line for this to work and now everything was coming crashing down around her. Clearly they couldnt move past what had happened.

He wasn't ready to let his guard down yet, although by doing that it was clearly hurting her. He didn't know what to do. His head, told him to stay cold, be your normal self and do not let anyone in; but his heart was also aching -- aching knowing that this woman was quite possibly the mother of his children. He remembered the evenings they'd spent together, the long days laying on the veranda sunbathing as the ship sailed across the sea. He wanted to feel for this woman, to have compassion, however he could only manage anger towards how he had hurt her.

"So now what Brooklyn?" He asked her seriously wondering if he'd see the woman again after his little tirade.

Brooklyn turned back as he asked what now. She simply shrugged her shoulders and looked into his eyes with a look of exhaustion. "I dont know Cameron..." She said as the tears continued to run down her cheeks. "This isnt working" Brooklyn said as her hands moved through her hair. Without saying anything else she moved and turned the handle on the door, walking out into the hallway and heading towards the stairs at the end to go back to her room. Brooklyn just didnt want to argue with him and she didnt want him taking her boys.

Cameron figured it might be best to let the both of them Just calm down. He hadn't known what else to do and he didn't want to yell at Brooklyn anymore. He cared about her way too much. He sighed and fell onto the couch running his hands through his hair. He thought of what to do, what he could do to solve things, but he came to no conclusions. Finally he called his lawyer and asked him to fax over some paperwork. He wanted his ass covered.

The next morning Cameron woke up early and ordered room service to Brooklyn's room attaching the folder of paperwork to the cart. He wanted Brooklyn to sign the paperwork, no matter what so he had this over her head.

The night was filled with tears for Brooklyn. She spent an hour crying on her bed until Benjamin woke up. He began screaming which woke up his brother who began to cry. Brooklyn only ended up getting an hours sleep because of them and was completely exhausted. Early that morning there was a knock at the door. Opening it with Joshua in her arms she was surprised to see brealfast being wheeled in. It was only then that she was a folder with paper work. Her eyes opened wide as she flicked through it realising it was legal.

Brooklyn was so furious as she called for one of the nannies, not touching the food as she then headed straight up to Camerons office. Brooklyn didnt bother knocking and walked straight in. "What the hell is this Cameron?" She demanded as she stared at him across the room.

He knew that he should expect Brooklyn to be storming into his office any time. He was waiting, pretending to scan through emails and work on something on his computer. He looked up as he saw her storming in, staring at him across the room.

"Come sit down. I just want both of us to be covered in this situation." He said looking at her still. "I had my lawyer draw paperwork up last night." He waited, knowing that she was still going to be furious and not sit down. "It simply states that if the boys are proven mine, you will get child support, and I will get visitation 50% of the time."

Brooklyn didn't move a muscle as Cameron told her to come and sit down, she just continued to look at him in a way that suggested she was still waiting for an explanation. As the explantion came, it was exactly what she expected. He wanted to cover himself. So while she had been downstairs crying and taking care of their sons, he had been contacting his lawyers. She heard the word child suppot and was glad but when he mentioned visitation the colour drained from her face. Had he just said what she thought he had said?

"You want me to give them up to you for 50% of their life? What would you do with two babies Cameron? You cant just hire a nanny and then go about your dinner parties. They need attention" Brooklyn said shaking her head. Brooklyn also wasn't about to sign anything that she didn't fully understand and without a lawyer of her own (which she couldn't afford) she wasn't signing anyhing.

"If you think I am signing that then you are mistaken" Brooklyn said fighting off the emotions. "I am not letting my babies go and spend the night let alone fifty percent of the time with a man whose only emotion is anger, who calls his lawyers at the drop of a hat and who thinks of everything as a business transaction which can be fixed with just sweeping things under the rug" She walked over to the desk and put the papers down in front of him. "I am not signing it" Brooklyn said as she turned to walk back out of the office.

He looked at her and took a deep breath. He did not want to use anything against her, he honestly wanted to work things out with Brooklyn before they had to do anything drastic between the two of them and one of them got hurt, but he was prepared to do so.

He stood up, "Then I will take you to court." He stated matter of factly. "And I'm sure a judge would love to hear that you recently quit your job, and you were non compliant when I tried to work things out with you." He said knowing exactly what he was doing and he knew the result, it would hopefully have.

"I want to be a part of my sons lives, if they are my sons." He said looking at her. "I may seem like I'm all business but I do have a heart Brooke. You know that from the two weeks we spent together. I have no plans to hire a nanny. Imagine being a kid being able to run around a cruise ship, climb rock walls whenever you want, water slides, whatever you want for dinner. That would be the life. Don't you want that for your sons?" He asked.

"Do what you want Brooklyn, but I will take you to court if I have to to protect both of us."

Brooklyn stopped dead in her tracks as he mentioned taking her to court. She didn't have the money to fight off a legal battle for custody of the boys. She would have done anything for them but she couldn't take on Cameron in a legal setting, he had too much money and she knew he would have the best money could buy. The court would take one look at her and him and give complete custody to Cameron. She felt physically sick at the mess she had got herself into by coming onto this cruise. Brooklyn was well aware that he was blackmailing her into signing those papers but there wasnt anything she could do to stop it or try to fight it.

As Cameron spoke about the life he could give the boys, Brooklyn felt incredible guilt racing through her body. She wanted to give them the best of everything but she just couldn't. In that moment she felt incredibly useless and worthless. Already she could sense that she was losing the boys.

Without saying anything she turned back around and walked over to the desk. Her hand was trembling as she reached for a pen and very quickly signed her name at the bottom of the paper, a tear falling down and dampening a small circle of the paper.

"Can we talk now?" He asked. He had what he needed to hold the upper hand in the conversation not that he wanted to hold it over her head. "We can have some breakfast and discuss how we're going to make things work." He said softly.

He knew that he couldn't possibly have a normal life, taking their children every other weekend, that he couldn't settle just for two little boys. "I want to make things work with you Brooklyn." He said almost begging her for a chance for them to work things out.

Hilary came sweeping into his office and started rambling things before she looked up and saw Brooklyn standing there. She stopped mid-sentence and looked over at Cameron wondering if she should continue or she should leave. After the look of pure annoyance he gave in return she said, "Sorry, I'll come back." She rushed back out of the office closing the door behind her.

"Please Brooklyn?" he said looking at her.
