Brooklyn hadn’t enjoyed one moment of the meeting with Hilary. She could see how upset the girl was and Brooklyn had just hoped that she wouldn’t blame her for this meeting. The last thing she wanted to do was to come between Hilary and Cameron’s friendship but she did want to make things at least easier between the two of them. After all this was meant to be a permanent thing. She stayed quiet and let Cameron do all the talking since this really was his meeting and she was just there for support. Once it was all over though she smiled a little and kissed Cameron goodbye, whispering for him to have a good afternoon. One thing which had caught Brooklyn off guard was the way Cameron had spoken. She had never seen him so empty of emotion before and it scared her a little... was this the way he had been about her?

As she turned to say goodbye to Hilary she heard the girl speaking to her. Brooklyn turned to look at Hilary and really did appreciate the effort she was making. Brooklyn understood it might not be easy for the two of them to get along but she had hoped that the two of them could be civil. “You too Hilary, and thanks” Brooklyn said with a smile before she left, leaving the two of them to get back to work.

It was about one pm by the time Brooklyn got back to the play area to collect Benjamin and Joshua but upon seeing them she wished she had left it a little bit longer to come back to them. Both boys were crying, one still in the stroller with one of the girls bent down talking to him and the other in the arms of a stressed looking nanny. Brooklyn walked over trying to get the boys to smile but they just continued crying. “I’m sorry...” Brooklyn said as she took Benjamin from the girl’s arms and trying to bounce and soothe him despite his screams. “It’s fine... they just... they are really not happy” The girl explained as Brooklyn shook her head. From the looks of it, it was going to be a very long afternoon.

She didn’t stay long in the play area as she could see that both of the boys had worn out their welcome. Instead she put Benjamin in the pram and headed back up to the room. Brooklyn loved her sons but it was the days like this that she wished she had never fallen pregnant. No matter what she tried neither of them would calm down and they were giving her a headache. She tried playing with them, feeding them, cradling them, leaving them alone to cry it out (even though she really wasn’t very good at letting them do this and only managed to last a few minutes) as well as trying to bribe them and even begging god to get them to calm down. It went on for hours and Brooklyn was very quickly loosing it, counting down the seconds until Cameron would arrive back from work.

Eventually Brooklyn ended up putting them both back in the pram and walking around the living room with them. It was her final attempt to get them to stop crying and it wasn’t working. She had hoped that the movement would help but if anything it was making it worse. Brooklyn ran her fingers through her hair and glanced at the clock. Cameron should be back any minute now. She wondered how he would react when he walked in the door to the boys screaming and crying and herself looking a mess, still in her work uniform and her heels tossed off on the ground in the hallway.

As Cameron walked up towards their suite after leaving the office he could hear the boys crying and debated heading away and pretending to have to get something done. He didn't know honestly how much of it he could take that afternoon. He'd had a stressful day with the meeting and the tension that was between him and Hilary after and having to listen to that for hours would surely drive him to snap. He knew though, that he couldn't leave Brooklyn to deal with it either. He took a deep breath and opened the door smiling weakly, "Hey..." He walked in kissing her softly.

He picked up Benjamin and tried to get him to stop crying, cooing at him and trying to make him laugh, to no avail. He looked up at Brooklyn sympathetically and squeezed her side half being playful half for encouragement to get through their crying fit. Cameron walked out onto the balcony with Benjamin sitting in one of the chairs holding him and just letting him cry it out. He talked softly about meaningless stuff, the waves, the blue sky, then something a little more serious "Who'd have thought last year that I'd be sitting here holding you? I'm so happy to be your Daddy." He said rubbing his back.

After a bit Joshua calmed down not having to listen to Benjamin but Benjamin was still going on. Cameron was losing his patience, both of them having tried everything He looked up at Brooklyn, "What do we do?" He asked nervously worried something was really wrong.

Brooklyn looked up as she heard the click of the door opening and as relieved when she saw Cameron come walking in. She knew that this was probably the last thing he wanted after a long day at work but as much as she tried Brooklyn couldnt get the boys to settle down. She smiled weakly at him and muttered a hello to him as he kissed her and touched her side. It comforted her to know that now she wasnt going through this alone.

She watched as Cameron picked up Benjamin and took him outside in an attempt to separate the boys. Brooklyn stayed with Joshua and after about twenty minutes of walking with him he began to settle down. Brooklyn had never felt ao much relief in her life and continued to hold him as she warmed up a bottle and began to feed him. Hopefully once he was fed he would drift off to sleep.

She stood in the doorway holding Joshua as Cameron spoke up to her over Benjains cries. "I dont know.... They were like this when I picked them up from th play area and have been screaming all afternoon" Brooklyn said still on the verge of tears. Brooklyn felt totally overwhelmed by all of this.

Joshua remained calmed down but Benjamin continued to hold onto Cameron tightly crying louder that he'd ever heard. He was crying so hard his voice was getting hoarse and Cameron was really starting to worry, but didn't want to call the ship nurse. He was Benjamin's father and he should be able to take care of him and find out what he needed. Finally, after about another hour he cried himself to sleep all together. When Cameron realized he was finally asleep he could still hear ringing in his ears. He took him in to the crib and put him down and took a deep breath trying to make sure he wasn't going to wake up and start Joshua again.

When the coast was clear he walked into the living room plopping down on the couch, exhausted, his shirt untucked and tie undone. "God... if I ever hear crying again any time tonight I might jump overboard." He let out with a sigh. "I am starving..." He said leaning over and looking at the room service menu."

Brooklyn stayed outside with Cameron and Benjamin after she put Joshua to bed and tried her best to help Cameron. However both of their efforts proved useless but eventually he began to drift off to sleep with basically no voice left. Brooklyn was not looking forward to listening to Benjamins voice in the morning. As Cameron walked inside to put him to bed Brooklyn cleaned up out on the balcony. Finally though as she did head inside she saw Cameron heading back into the small living room they shared. Looking at him Brooklyn could see that he was just as thankful as she was that the boys were now quiet.

Brooklyn sat down beside him on the couch, bringing her legs up onto the couch to get more comfortable. "I'm sorry for not being able to calm them down before you got back after work" Brooklyn said as she looked over to him. "I know you had a long day at work... How was Hilary this afternoon?" She said not wanting to talk about what Cameron would do if the boys started crying again tonight. They were babies and Brooklyn was almost positive that they would cry again tonight at some stage and was even mentally thinking maybe she could stay in their room tonight to be able to watch the two of them and be the first to get to them if they did cry.

"She was fine, we got a lot done." He said unbuttoning the shorts he was wearing and just getting more comfortable. " I'm going to order in." He said looking over at the clock. 9:30PM. He couldn't believe he'd just listened to crying for over 6 hours. He called in ordering some food and hung up the phone. He rubbed Brooklyn's legs softly as he talked then got up and headed into their bedroom to change his clothes. He threw his clothes into the hamper and put on some pajama pants not putting on a shirt and headed back to the living room. He laid back on the couch and relaxed turning on sports center.

Finally his food came and the waiter waited for Cameron to pay the bill. Cameron started to close the door but when the young guy prompted and asked if Cameron would like the food billed to his room Cameron just about exploded. "Don't you know who I am? Are you really that stupid? Get back in the kitchen where you belong!" He slammed the door and instantly he heard crying. He was defeated and hung his head setting the food on the counter with a bang. "I'm sorry." he said softly looking over at Brooklyn.

Brooklyn smiled softly as Cameron rubbed her legs while he called for room service. She loved him touching her like this, just softly and almost as if he wasn't thinking about it at all and it just came naturally. It helped her know that he was there. When he went and got changed she just stretched out on the couch, feeling her muscles stretch in a relaxing way while she waited for his return and then curled up with him. When the waiter came though she simply sat up, hungry and ready to eat but what unfolded meant that food would not be coming for a little while. She watched as Cameron slammed the door but flinched when she heard the boys begin to cry again.

Brooklyn instantly stood up as Cameron set the food down on the table with a bang and despite his words towards her being soft this was the second time that she had seen him angry like this in just a few days. It made her wonder just how much of himself Cameron kept back from her but also made her glad she didn't see this side of him often. Instead of going in to the boys right away she got up and walked over to Cameron where she took hold of his hands.

"Cameron it's okay... it has been a long and stressful day" She said trying to be supportive of him and get him to calm down. "I will take care of the boys. You stay here and have dinner and I will take them for a walk in the pram around the top deck and see if being outside in the salt air will put them back to sleep" Brooklyn was used to the boys and the stress which came along with them and Cameron wasn't. Brooklyn didn't want to push him too much and make this hard for him... after all in her mind she was lucky to even be here and in no way did she want to impose on Cameron.

Brooklyn looked into his eyes for a moment then lent in and kissed him softly. "Just save me some food" She said as she turned and walked into the boys room. Joshua was awake and crying while Benjamin was awake and just fussing. Brooklyn picked Joshua up and began to bounce him while using her other hand to get the pram ready with some blankets.

Cameron sat down and ran a hand through his hair letting out a deep sigh. He was stressed out and starting to second guess himself. He knew that this wasn't the first time he had been upset like this and that he needed to get his temper under control. He always had a bad temper and just wasn't sure that he could do that, even if it meant losing Brooklyn and his sons. It hit him like a freight train to the gut. He left the food where it was and headed outside on the balcony.

He'd hoped that the salty air would help the boys like it helped him, but knowing the way things were going they'd hate the ocean. He shook the thoughts out of his head and tried to calm down, tried not to let his thoughts and temper mix and get the best of him. He heard Brooklyn and the boys in the living room and knew that he shouldn't let Brooklyn deal with them crying alone. He just couldn't make his feet move to go after her.

He finally went back inside once he started to feel light headed and knew he needed to eat something. He got some food in his stomach and then paced around the room, waiting for an answer to magically come to him but it didn't. It was now about 11PM and Brooklyn wasn't back. He grabbed a hooded sweatshirt and some jeans putting them on to go after them.

He walked up to the top deck and saw Brooklyn standing there and the boys were asleep. He wondered if he should walk up or just leave her. She obviously was upset, or angry if she hadn't went back to the room yet. He stood there for a minute or two letting his thoughts get the best of him.

Finally he walked up to Brooklyn and said, "We need to talk. I... I'm going to move into another room for a bit." He blurted out. "Maybe... Maybe we rushed into this. Maybe.. I don't know." He said softly turning to leave.

Brooklyn got the boys ready for the cool night air and despite their crying she placed them into the pram. She was going to say goodbye to Cameron as she came out into the living area but he wasn't there and she could see his figure out on the balcony. Deciding not to disturb him she headed out to the top deck with the boys still crying and fussing. She was out there for about an hour before the boys began to drift off to sleep with her rocking the pram back and forth on the spot. Everytime she stopped though they seemed to stir and the last thing she wanted to do was to head back to the room with Cameron with them crying again. So instead she stayed there for a little longer while they slept in an attempt to make sure that they were sound asleep before she headed back.

Before she could head back downstairs Cameron appeared beside her. Brooklyn smiled at him but when he began to speak the smile quickly slipped away. "What?" Brooklyn managed to stutter as Cameron began to walk away from her. Her mouth had dropped open with the shock of what he had just said. Brooklyn had thought that things were going great between the two of them. She loved him and she thought that he loved her too... but maybe it had just been obligation after all. All the insecurities flooded back to her as she stood there looking at his back.

"Cameron you can't just turn your back on me and start to walk away" Brooklyn managed to choke out, becoming visibly upset by what he had just said to her. Not only was he leaving her but he was also leaving the family unit and leaving her once more to deal with the boys on her own. Brooklyn didn't know if she could do it by herself especially since the last time she had failed so dramatically. "Tell me what I have done wrong or how I can fix it" She said almost desperatly in an attempt to stop all of this from happening.

Cameron sighed and let his head drop again turning back around. "This isn't the place for this." He said looking over at a few of the guests on the upper deck looking over towards them. "Come back to our room and let's talk." He said softly trying not to make a scene in front of any of the guests. "Please Brooklyn." He said walking close to her again and taking her arm gently. "Come on."

They all headed back to the suite and Cameron closed and locked the door, even though Brooklyn was now visibly upset. He waited patiently for her to put the boys back in bed and they took a baby monitor out onto the balcony. "I don't know what to say. This isn't me Brooklyn. I don't know how long I can fake it. I just think everyone would be hurt less if we did it like this. I... I can't do this. I'm irritable, angry. That's not fair to you or the boys." He said sighing softly again. "What am I supposed to do Brooklyn? I didn't plan any of this to happen."

Brooklyn was more than aware of the reason why Cameron was asking her to come back to the room. She knew that he didn't want to make a scene in front of the guests and to be honest neither did she. Brooklyn worked here too and the last thing she wanted was to cause a fuss or an embarassement to either Cameron or the ship. Nodding her head she let him lead her towards the elevator which would take them back downstairs and towards their room. She didn't say anything to him the whole way down but she also didn't make an attempt to stop the tears which were freely flowing down her cheeks by this stage.

Once in the room she took the boys to their room and put them to bed. They went down easily which appeared to be the first thing going right tonight. Sighing she was tempted to just hide out in the boys room for a little longer to avoide Cameron and this conversation. However she didn't and instead headed out to the balcony with the baby moniter and sat in one of the chairs with her arms wrapped around her chest.

"I didn't plan this either Cameron... I didn't ask to get pregnant and I didn't ask to get twins along with that but now that they are here I dont have a choice" Brooklyn said in almost a whisper, chocking up. "If you dont want to be together or live in the same rooms then that is fine... Im not forcing you to be a family man or to be with me. I love you and that wont change but if you dont love me or cant do this then I cant force you..." It was hurting her so much to do this but there was one thing she would force him to do. "But you are a father to those two... and I will force you to be their father, even if it means we are not all a family"

"Brooklyn you know I love you. I have been trying. You know I have but, I can't do this..." he said snapping slightly then getting his tone back under control. "Why can't you be like every other girl who gets pregnant and just accept that I'll take care of you guys. I'll stay away... you can have custody like you wanted and they won't ever have to know what an asshole their father is." He asked. He was hurting himself saying those things. He wanted nothing more than to be a father, and a family man to Brooklyn and his sons but the way things had been going he just couldn't see it happening. His stomach felt like he'd been punched a million times and he didn't want to say it.

"I will make sure you guys are comfortable, I will take care of you and whatever you need. and I'll stay away." He repeated. "You all will be better off without me." He said looking out towards the water. He felt his eyes stinging and looked away.

"Better off without you?" Brooklyn repeated sounding shocked. "You know that isn't true Cameron. Those boys need a father... They need you" She said shaking her head. "Apart from tonight when both the boys were in a bad mood, you are the only one who is able to calm them down. You do a much better job than I do and we both know that they light up the moment that they see you... Those boys love you and need you. Both of us know that you have been trying Cameron but why cant you see that you are doing a great job?" Brooklyn asked as she looked at him. There was silence for a moment before Brooklyn opened her mouth again.

"Maybe the whole instant family and live in girlfriend is too much and if you want me to just be someone you pay money to once a month to look after your kids then I guess I cant stop you" Brooklyn continued, this hurting her beyond belief but she had to fight for her sons before herself. "But you cant give up on them... Maybe having them all the time is too overwhelming for you all of a sudden, we could work out a custody arrangement which suits you..." Brooklyn offered in an attempt to get him to reconsider. "Please Cameron, they need their Dad"

Cameron started to really weigh heavy on himself and stood up pacing back and forth on the balcony, "A great job? A great job according to who?" He asked rhetorically. "I've never seen a dad who snaps, and gets frustrated, and aggravated at the smallest thing." He said. "My dad never did that... he never wanted to avoid coming home because I was crying. I thought about that today Brooklyn!" He added unable to stop now. "I'm not a dad they need and I know you've struggled and I wish that I could take back everything and fix this but I can't. I would give everything I have to make this perfect and I can't."

He looked at her with tears in his eyes now, trying to blink them back. He wasn't an emotional guy and he didn't want to get this way in front of Brooklyn. "What if I have them and they won't stop crying like that and I don't know how to make them stop?" He asked really tearing himself up inside over this and trying to figure things out inside his head he just couldn't make the thoughts stop.

"Tell me Brooklyn... tell me what I'm supposed to do."

His words shocked her. Brooklun didn't know that he was so wound up over this and she realised he must have been analysing every little thing he did around the boys and around her. The way he spoke about his Dad made her shake her head. He had only been a little boy and would have had no idea what his father had gone through or if he had been thinking the same things as him. That was the past and Brooklyn knew she needed to get Cameron to see how good of a father he was.

"Cameron..." Brooklyn said shaking her head. "Thats what makes you a good father. You would do anything for those boys even if it meant giving them up. You want to be perfect at being a Dad all the time and it hurts you to know that they are upset, dont you see how this shows just how much you love them?" Brooklyn said as she finally stood up and walked over to him, holding her hands out to take hold of his in an attempt to steady him.

"God Cameron, I cant even count the amount of times I considered just up and leaving them at a hospital or fire station... I could have done it, no questions asked of me and I could have got my old life back just like you could have ignored me and the boys when we came back on this ship or you could have not come home tonight but you did. You are a great parent because you care, because you want to do everything you can for them but you need to realise that parents are not miracle workers. We make mistakes and we dont always know what to do but we do our best and Cameron are you honestly saying you could have done better?" She said shaking her head. "You are doing everything right... and you are much more of a natural at this than I am" Brooklyn admitted, hoping that he would calm down and see the truth. He was an amazing father.

"I... I need you to be completely honest with me Brooklyn." He said running a hand through his hair trying to get himself together, knowing Brooklyn was working to get him together and get him to calm down. He wanted to be able to think straight "I love you Brooklyn. I want nothing more than this to work. I want the perfect family with you and I want the boys to look up to me like I did to my father. But, do you really think that I'm doing okay at this?" He asked looking up into her eyes as he sunk into one of the chairs.

"I don't want to ruin their lives before they even talk." He said starting to calm down. "If you think they're better off.. just take them and go." He said sighing. "I.. It will hurt... but I'll be able to handle it." He said looking at her seriously awaiting her response.

"Cameron I am being honest with you... you do a better job than I do half of the time and the boys already look up to you" She said softly. "You will not ruin their lives I promise you" Brooklyn said as she ran a hand down the side of her face to wipe away her own tears which had sprung up at some point during the talk between them. Her hand was shaking a little bit but for the sake of the two of them she was doing a fairly good job at holding herself together. They needed to be able to comunicate with each other if any of this was going to work and if they were going to get through this together.

"They are better off with both of their parents in their lives, whether we are together or... or not" Brooklyn said, the last part hurting as she still had the feeling he wanted to put some distance between the two of them. "They need both of us" She said looking into his eyes and trying to make him see that she was speaking the truth. Brooklyn thought that Cameron was a great father and she had realised through this that she hadn't told him this enough over the past few weeks. If she had been given a choice as to the man who would father her children and make the best dad, Brooklyn would choose Cameron every time.

"I don't want things between us to change. Things between us have been good." He said softly walking towards Brooklyn and wrapping her up in his arms. His heart was racing and he was slightly shaking at the thought of pushing them away. "You.. You know how I am. It's hard for me to not push anyone away." He said trying to make sure she wasn't going anywhere. "I am sorry I haven't been completely together through all of this.. I'm trying as hard as I can Brooklyn." He said quietly calming down much more now.

"I look at those two boys in there and I swear to god nothing else in the world matters. I just want the best for them and I want them to have a good life, with both of their parents, and family and everything they deserve. I hope you know that." He said pulling away slightly looking into her eyes.

Things between the two of them had been good. They had been getting along and even working out a routine between the two of them when it came to the boys and who did what. It had been going perfectly until tonight and Brooklyn would more than happily have kept it that way except for when Cameron had come up onto the deck with her. She wanted to put things behind them and move forward, however she was also feeling torn as to whether he still wanted her or if he wanted the boys. Brooklyn just loved him so much that she would whatever he wanted to do.

"I know you are" Brooklyn said as she felt him calming down. When he began to calm down so did she, it was as if she almost couldn't be calm when he wasn't. Every single time that he got worked up Brooklyn found that her insides would twist and she felt displaced. It was better when Cameron was calm. She couldn't help but smile though as he spoke about the boys because that was exactly how she felt and it made her happy to know that Cameron had the same love for them that she did.

"You scared me for a minute there Cameron..." Brooklyn whispered to him as she clung to his front, not ready to completely leave him at the moment. Her eyes meet his as he had pulled back a little and she slowly began to speak. "Cameron... I just need to know, do you still want to be with me?" Brooklyn asked as she continued to look into his eyes, the doubt already there.

Cameron leaned in and kissed her hard and passionate, holding onto her tightly, like she was the only think keeping him holding on in the world. He pulled away breathless and looked into her eyes, "I want you more than anything. I love you Brooke." He said confident and hoping that he would put her at ease. He knew that he had pushed he away tonight and that he probably had scared her and he regretted that now. He knew that he had to get himself together and stop with the outbursts, sometimes... he just couldn't control it.

"At first I didn't know... but I know Brooklyn. I know that I want you, and the boys, and whatever other babies you may pop out in my life and I want us to be a family." He laughed slightly and then kissed her again. "Hey... Will.. Brooklyn, Will you marry me?" He said looking deep into her eyes.

Brooklyn was caught off guard when Cameron lent in and kissed her both hard and passionatly, her body instantly responding to his as she kissed him back. When he pulled away she looked into his eyes and instantly believed him when he said that he loved her. It was the words she wanted to hear more than anything else and the ones that made everything okay. Everything they had been arguing about just slipped away and she was left standing in the arms of the man she loved and the arms of the man who loved her back. She continued to smile as Cameron continued to speak, laughing a little at the mention of more kids. That was certianly something Brooklyn didn't want for at least four years, until the boys were old enough.

As she stood there Brooklyn was once more taken by surprise by Cameron this evening. One minute Cameron was breaking up with her and the next he was asking her to marry him; it was almost too much for Brooklyn to take in. It took her a few moments of shock before she began to start ot form words.

"Cameron... I...." Brooklyn said shaking her head a little bit as she tried to make sense of the situation. "Are you sure? Because once I say yes then you cant ever take it back" She questioned with a small nervous smile on her face. Of course she would say yes to him, she wanted nothing more than to settle down and raise the boys with him, but Brooklyn wanted to make sure he was okay with this. After all he had just been commenting on how hard all of this was. Marriage or even engagement would make things a lot harder.

Cameron had thought about this for a while, including when 20 minutes ago he was trying to push Brooklyn away. He tried to push her away and tell himself that nothing would come of it and that he could live without Brooklyn, Benjamin and Joshua in his life but in all honesty he couldn't and he refused to.

Cameron thought about it for a moment more. He wanted to make sure that he wasn't just getting caught up in the moment. He really honestly felt as he wasn't getting swept up and thrown for a look by the situation and nodded, "I really want to marry you Brooklyn." He smiled squeezing her a little more. "I mean.. I don't have a ring or anything. I'll get you one I swear as soon as we dock. We can find a jewelry store and we'll have a nice dinner and I'll do this the right way." He said leaning in kissing her again squeezing her tightly now. "Will you marry me?"

Brooklyn's smile grew as Cameron said that he really wanted to marry her. She squeezed him softly in return before shaking her head a little when he spoke about getting her a ring. Brooklyn knew that she didn't need one all she needed was Cameron. Traditionally he should have taken her out for dinner and got down on one knee but nothing about their relatinship was traditional and that was fine with her.

"Of course I will marry you Cameron, I love you and I want to spend my life with you and with the boys" She answered him before leaning in and kissing him passionatly, pressing her body to his. The way she kissed him was as if that kiss was never going to end but finally she did pull back from him. "And I dont need a ring and I dont need some romantic dinner or anything as long as I have you and we have the boys" Brooklyn said as she looked into her eyes. Never in a million years had she thought a year ago that she would be here with Cameron and he would be asking her this. It was as if all her dreams had come true at once.

He let out a deep sigh and sat down, pulling her onto his lap, "God, I'm sorry I've been such a mess." he laughed a little bit trying to lighten the mood. He knew he was doing alright now and he felt a lot better, not to mention he'd just gotten engaged, that made his estatic considering he though he'd never end up married with a family like deep down he'd always wanted.

The rest of the week went good for the both of them, picking up on their routine again and the boys being in a better mood. When they docked Cameron started his planning. He got up and dressed early, taking the boys to the play area and arranging for a nanny to keep them for the day. He got dressed in some navy khacki shorts and a blue plaid shirt, with some flip flops. He woke Brooklyn up and allowed her time to get ready, they had breakfast quickly and then strolled along the streets, going into shops, buying goofy thing etc.

"Come here..." Cameron said pulling her hand gently into a shop, which she quickly realized was a jewelry store. "I owe you a ring." He smiled and walked over to the cases. "Anything you want." He said softly wrapping his arms around her as she looked.

After that night things had settled back down between the two of them and the boys had certainly been calmer and less fussy. Brooklyn had even been enjoying her job and Cameron and herself had even got into a routine of looking after the boys when each other was working. That morning when Cameron had woken her up she had stirred slowly, taking her time to get ready while slipping on a pair of dark denim mini shorts and a black satin top along with a pair of flip flops. He had informed her that the boys would be taken care of today and she was glad to be able to spend some alone time with Cameron. They didn't have a lot of it, especially not a whole day since they both worked.

Strolling along the streets Brooklyn just enjoyed holding Cameron's hand while looking in some of the stores. It was peaceful with no pram or screaming child. They wondered into a few shops but nothing seemed to catch her eye. When Cameron took her into a store she didn't think twice about it until she realised it was a jewelry story and her eyes opened wide. Everything was just so sparkly but she didn't say anything as Cameron took her over to some cases which were filled with many different types of engagement rings.

"Anything I want?" Brooklyn repeated as she looked in the case which was in front of her. All of the rings were so beautiful but her eyes did catch the price tags neatly placed next to each item and realised that they were in quite an expensive jewelry store. Brooklyn had never owned something as expensive as what one of these rings would be and it overwhelmed her for a moment. "Cameron..." She said as she turned her head around to look at him with a shake of her head. "It's too much, I told you I dont need a ring. All I need is you" She said leaning in and kissing him softly. Despite becoming more acustomed to Cameron's lifestyle Brooklyn still wasn't used to him spending money on her. Spending money on the boys was fine but she felt as if he had already given her way to much by just agreeing to be with her and by taking care of their sons.
