History: Daniel came from a relatively normal family, the only thing not accounted for was his desire to join the mafia. Of course they objected because, "There was no way in Hell my little boy will join something so dangerous." Their words, not his. But what really cemented his desire was the fact that his parents were killed in a shooting. Knowing it had to be a mafia gang Daniel joined another organization he knew couldn't have done it. Since then he's been with them for six years.

So begins...

Vanessa walked down the hallway, her heels hit the floor making the sound echo through out the building. House is quiet, they must be having a meeting. She walked outside to the garden area, the sky is blue and the birds are at peace. She sat down next to the fountain. The water was soothing as it made the quietness of the building seem nice. Though Vanessa is use to a House that's not so quiet, usually people are drunk walking around or doing something that causes noise.

The silence is odd for her. She gets up and walks back inside, she see's not everyone is in the meeting. She walks into the bar seeing maybe Five of her husbands employee's having a drink or playing pool. Vanessa takes a seat at the bar, a glass of wine is set in front of her.

She smiled "Thank you, Rick.. she says and takes the glass from the wooden table. She took a sip or two and rose from her seat, she headed to her husbands meeting room.. Not much to do while most of the employee's are in a meeting. She stopped outside the door. Daniel was outside the door, on watch.

"Hi Dainel" She says to him as she stands a few feet away from him and takes a few more sips of the wine in her hand.

Jason sits in his chair at the meeting table. He watches as Cody paces back and fourth making a boring speech on how things must improve if we want to win against the other Mafia. In the background he can faintly hear heels. A smile merges across his face. He knows it's Vanessa, she must be bored. He looks at his watch, the meeting almost over. He looks at Cody, who's leaning over the table telling everyone they must do better around here. With that he said the meeting was over, everyone got up and got ready to head out of there and go have some fun.

Jason got up and headed to the door. But was stopped by Cody. "What is it sir?" He asks Cody. Cody leads him to the side away from everyone. "Look Jason I have a special job for you." Cody told him. Jason nodded, "Alright, what's the job?" He asks his boss. Cody looked around making sure no one could hear him. "I want you to try and get some information on our Mafia Brotherhood I know you lived around there so you might know how to sneak past them." Cody finishes. Jason looked surprised "Are you sure you want to risk me getting captured or killed? I mean what if one of them follows him back?" He asks Cody. Cody looked at him and smiled. "I know you, you can find away around that." He said and left the room, Cody smiled at Vanessa but went straight to the bar, where everyone else seems to go.

Jason left the meeting room and walked into the garden giving Vanessa the signal to meet him in their spot. He walked in the garden and went through the maze and got to their secret location. He sat on the bench and waited for Vanessa to arrive, he knows she must make it look like she's just going in the mess for a nice walk.

Vanessa nodded at Jason, she looked at Daniel and gave him a smile. She turned around and headed to the bar, her heels hit the floor echoing throughout the hallway. She entered the bar seeing everyone with drinks in there hands, playing pool or poker. She stopped in the door way and looked for Cody. She spotted him sitting at his booth drinking whiskey and smoking a cigar, Vanessa walked over and sat down at the booth.

"How'd the meeting go?" Vanessa asked him as she set down her glass of wine on the table. She smiled at him and leaned back in the booth. Vanessa looked around at all his employee's they were tough and fearless. You point a gun in one of their faces they wouldn't flinch they'd just knock you out, or laugh. Quiet possibly both, if you ask her. Vanessa picked up her wine and took a sip of it and held it in her hand as she observed the bar. She likes when fights break out between two or three of the men. It's always fun for her to see who comes out victorious.

Vanessa looked at her husband, and gave him a smile. She feels he works to hard some days, she knows because he as whiskey. Usually when he has whiskey he's been working to hard on things. Sure, she doesn't mind him drinking now and again, but she hates to see him drink to much. Vanessa looked at Cody with warm eye's, she did love him very much and hates to see him in this kind of mood. She knows it only to make things better around here, but it doesn't always have to mean that he has to work his ass off everyday just to get what he wants this Mafia to do. We need to work as a team, not just some business and with occasional meetings on progress, they need to act.

The day had been boring, albeit their every once in a blue moon meeting. It made him want to shoot his brain out. But alas, he cannot and even if he did Daniel wouldn’t leave his best friend because of his own selfish desires. He may be ruthless but he isn't void of feelings either.

He heard the faint clicking of high-heels and he knew it was Vanessa. She was pretty, as per usual, and smiled at him. He nodded back to her and then followed her and the others to the bar, apparently the meeting had adjourned when he was day dreaming.

Daniel watched the interaction between Cody and Vanessa, he seemed to absolutely adore her and she the same. The only problem he could see in their relationship is Vanessa giving Jason heart eyes. It wasn’t in his right to judge how she wants to live, but “cheating” on your mafia leader husband doesn’t seem to be the best life choice. But then again Daniel knew he had no right to really interfere until things got too messy.

“Mind updating me on what’s happening?”

Usually Daniel was a part of the meeting but unfortunately it had been his turn to stand guard. A boring and tedious job but it gets him thought the day.

Vanessa looked at Daniel. She didn't want to get inbetween their duties and meeting updates sense she herself wasent a part of the meeting. Vanessa drinked the rest of her wine and rose from the booth. "Well, I'll let you to sort out business. I'll be in the garden, walking through the maze if you need me." She says and walks away in a sexy way. She smiles at some of the members as she walks out the door, before leaving she stopped in the door way and looked back at Cody and Daniel and have them a smile.

Vanessa made her way to the garden, and entered the maze. It only took her maybe two minutes to get to their meeting spot stopping a time or two, sense she was stopped by some gardeners asking how her day was. Once she got to where Jason was, she looked at him sitting on the bench, she came up behind him and wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed his cheek. "Sorry it took so long, but you know me keeping up apperences and all." She jokes. Vanessa gave him a smile.

Vanessa moved from behind him and sat on his lap. She was happy they had found this certain spot outside, where they could be alone. Well somewhat alone other than the gardeners. She gazed into his hazel eyes with happiness. Vanessa looked around their area and noticed a rose was growing to the left of them. She smiled, as Vanessa looked up she saw a blue sky with a bird flying over head. It's not everyday she comes out here with him, sometimes he must keep up apperences as well as Vanessa.

Cody smiled at Vanessa, as she excused herself, he nodded at her. He watched as she left, he loved how she walked away and looked back. He turns his attention to Daniel. "Please, take a seat. He tells Daniel as he takes a swig of whiskey. He clears he throat and begins to speak. "Alright, first off i'm sending Jason on a Special mission. I figured since he lived around there until he moved up here he'd know around. So i'm sending him to check things out and see if he can pick up anything when he's over there. He paused and looked around the bar, as he heard a fight break out.

He turned back to Daniel. "Anyway, the meeting was held to discuss how we need to start picking things up, and get serious with our actions and keeping quiet when walking around the city, Since you never know when or if our brotherhood my have a spy walking around are side of the city, trying to pick up information..." Cody said to Daniel. He hasn't been more serious in two years, he feels they just need to be starting on being more careful around here. He smirked "I'm even going to start placing security Camera's everywhere, except Bathroom, that's off limits. This way we can see if any of our men here are working with our brotherhood. Cody paused. "Not that I'm expecting any of them to be, i just like to be sure. I didn't mention the camera's to everyone else, so they don't do anything to prevent being caught. He finished and drank the rest of his whiskey, and placed it gently on the table.

Jason smiled as he felt Vanessa's arms wrap around him. "I was getting worried.. He told her with a smile on his face. As she sat on his lap, Jason wrapped his arms around her waist. He looked down, and frowned. "We are going to have to cut this time short, Cody's got me on a special assignment. He tells Vanessa looking into her eye's, he wished he never had gotten the job but this way he can fill in the brotherhood with what they are planning. He smiled at Vanessa "Don't worry, i'll be fast. When i get back i'll look for you and we can pick up were we left off. He told her, as he lifted Vanessa off his lap and on the bench. Before leaving he leaned in and kissed her.

He smiled at her as he left their area, and exited the Maze. Jason made his way out of their Mafia Mansion. He grabbed the key's to his motorcycle, and flew down the street not wasting any time. He did of course stop at light's and stop signs obeying the road laws. Took him maybe six minutes to get down where the brotherhood was. He parked his bike next to one of their vehicle and walked inside, he told the Leader all about their plans to make them stronger and more successful in beating their mafia. Once he Notify'd his leader, he headed back to Cody, again not wasting any time getting there. He parked the Motor cycle, in it's usual spot and headed up the steps to get inside.

Vanessa looked at Jason as he told her about the assignment her husband had given him. She smiled as he picked her up and set her on the bench. When he kissed her she wished he could stay a little longer. As Jason was leaving Vanessa looked at him "Be careful" And waited a few minutes before leaving herself. Vanessa exited the Maze and made her way into the bar, she stopped at the doorway. she peered over at Cody and Daniel whom were still talking.

Vanessa looked around the bar as she noticed a fight that broke out. She smiled at that, one thing she can count on, by coming to the bar is the fights. She watched for a while and than turned to head to her balcony. Her heels clicked the floor, and the steps as she walked up a flight or two. The sound echoed throughout the hallways. She opened her doors seeing a maid cleaning up, Vanessa stopped in the door way and politely said "May i be alone?" She asked he maid, whom nodded and left the room closing the big doors behind her. Vanessa smiled and made her way out to the balcony, looking over the city.

While she was out there Vanessa noticed that there were more people out than usual, that stuck her as odd. Usually there's only few people out and about now and days. The sun it her skin, in a perfect way. It warmed her body, she hopes Jason will be okay on his assignment. One thing she wasn't aware of was a photographer from the brotherhood mafia, snapping pictures.

Jason entered the building and headed straight for the bar, knowing Cody would be in there. He stopped at the door way and glances around the room, he eventually spotted him sitting at a booth talking to Daniel. He slowly made his way over not wanting to intrude on their conversation. He wondered where Vanessa was, he'd think she'd be in here awaiting his arrival back. He shrugged it off, he'd find her after he tells Cody his findings. Even though there wasn't really anything to report on their brother Mafia. He stopped a few inches from the table, he put his hands behind his back in a business like position.

Cody finished talking to Daniel. He noticed out of the corner of his eye, Jason walking towards them. He thought to himself, that he was back quick, which was a little suspicious. He looked over at Jason as he stopped a little ways from the table. "Back already? That was quick. Cody says to Jason, looking his way. Jason nodded and took a deep breath "I'm afraid i couldn't find out anything about out brother mafia, it seems they aren't expecting any kind of ambush or sudden rise of us. He told Cody with a straight face, trying to keep a professional look and appearance in front of him. Cody nodded and looked at Jason. "Alright, your dismissed.. He says to Jason. Jason turned around and left the bar. Cody turned to Daniel, with a concerned looking face.

When Jason exited the Bar, he signed in relief, he was glad that was done. He rubbed his hands together and thought to him self that it was time to search for Vanessa, she couldn't be far. As he made his way down the hallway to the stair case he saw a maid. He stopped her and asked "Have you happened to see Vanessa? Cody asked me to fetch her." He lies to the maid, he is very good with words and can easily trick anyone he desires. The maid nodded and told him she was in her room. "Thank you. He said and walked up the stairs to her room.

Jason quietly opened the door, and shut it as well. He peered around the room, not seeing her. Jason figured she was on the balcony, as he made his way over, he saw her gazing over the city. The sun hit her body just right making her look even more beautiful than ever. He approached her, and wrapped his arms around her waist. "I thought you'd be up here. He whispers in her ear, as he kisses her neck. He didn't notice one of his fellow Employee's snapping pictures either. His mafia boss doesn't even know he's having an affair with the wife of the enemy's Mafia.

Maria:
Maria sat at the bar, a drink in her hand and her eyes casually drifting from person to person. She sat there in silence, not doing much, but thinking and observing. Not really different from any other night. Occasionally she would start up a conversation with a person or two, play a round of pool, or cheer on one of the two idiots who would get themselves into fights. But as of this moment she was doing none of this, but simply watching. Her eyes wandered to where Cody and Daniel sat talking. She knew that they had been good friends for quite some time, and that the boss was probably telling Daniel all about his big plans for the future. She knew that the boss trusted Daniel more than almost anyone, except for Vanessa of course. But Cody really didn't interest her at the moment. It was Daniel. Maria spent a lot of her time trying not to single him out, to treat him as she did everyone else. This was often a hard task for her, because she thought so much more of him than she did anyone else. But she knew that he was very dedicated, and he probably didn't want a distraction such as someone like her to get in the way. She lots of times scolded herself for being such a romantic. This was the mafia, not a matchmaking service. So she kept her thoughts and feelings to herself, and avoided the rejection that she dreaded she would receive.

Jason noticed Vanessa got out of his grasp and was leaning against the rail he smiled at her and put his hands on each side of her as he kissed her neck. Jason ran his hands through her beautiful thick black hair, something didn't feel right like her actions weren't focused on him. She stopped kissing her neck and looked at her face, he attention was focused to the left of them. He moved his head in the direction to the left seeing a photographer. He knew that Photographer, he was sent by the brotherhood mafia to get some pictures and information. "Shit.." He whispered if his boss found or even saw those pictures he'd know that hasn't been loyal to his mafia, and he might go after Vanessa to keep him on track.

He felt Vanessa try and get past him, he moved his arm allowing her to get inside. He stood there glaring at him, as Vanessa swept past he saw him snapping photo's probably frame by frame. He slowly walked inside and shut the balcony doors, and turned to Vanessa who was pouring a glass of wine.

Cody rose from the table and excused himself. As he headed out of the bar, he noticed a bar fight had just broke out which caused him to have a grin on his face. He made his way down the hallway, seemed odd not hearing Vanessa's heels click on the floor. He made way up the stairs nodded at some of the maids and employee's whom were making their way down the stair way. As he reached the top, he headed to their room where he figured Vanessa was since she wasn't wondering the hallway's.

When he got to the door, he opened it and noticed Vanessa pouring a glass of wine. Once he got fully in the room Cody noticed Jason standing by the balcony. "Jason?" He said as he shut the door. "The hell you doing in here" He questioned. Jason turned Cody's way and told him "Vanessa saw a photographer out by the balcony to the left, she called me in here to see if it was one of ours and it wasn't. I wouldn't known. Jason said to Cody, Cody just looked at him and made his way to Vanessa.

Maria
Maria watched as Cody got up and left the bar, leaving Daniel alone at the booth. Normally, she would only admire him from a distance, but something inside her was growing tired of waiting. Against her better judgement, she found herself getting up and approaching him. Her face displayed that she was calm and collective, but her mind was racing. She didn't know what she should say, but it was too late to turn away now. She stopped and stood next to him, and gave him the nicest smile she could manage. "Hello, Daniel. I see that you and the boss are getting on splendidly, as always." Her mind raced to find something to say. "So...how are you? Anything new, that's not top secret between you and the boss, of course?" She was joking, but she didn't doubt that Cody trusted Daniel with all of his plans. She tried to act casual, but she felt that her emotions were betraying her. Her face felt hot, and she hoped it didn't display her embarrassment.

Daniel watched as he boss left his presences. He noticed Maria coming his way. He smiled at her as she approached his side. "Hello Maria. He said looking up at her. "Please sit. He offered. He was happy she'd come to to the bar, and even approached him. "I'm doing great. There's a lot of new things that i can't speak of..How are you? He told her as he slid his hand through his hair, it became messy. He set his hands back gently down to the table so they wouldn't slam against the oak. Daniel gazed around the bar as he saw a fight occur, he shook his head at them. Those boys tend to get into more fights than they do missions to improve their Mafia.

Daniel looked back over at Maria, she had gorgeous eye's and nice thick hair. One feature he specifically loved was her smile. It was bright and welcoming. "Would you like a drink? He asks her signaling over a bartender.

Image
Vanessa poured her wine and leaned against the wall as Cody entered the room. After he was done questions Jason she looked at him as he made his way over. "He's telling the truth..go see for yourself..if you want. She told him, and took a sip of wine. She patted Cody's chest and gave him a smile. "Every things alright. Don't tense yourself. She said and proceeded to the bedroom. Which had there doors open and could see the bed from any spot in the room. She set her wine down on the bed side and layed back in the bed, putting her hand near the top of her head. She shut her eye's and thought about who that man could be.

She smiled as she opened her eye's looking Jason's way. She knew she could be in complete danger having this affair and hall having your husband be the leader of a mafia gang, not to mention he's willing to even hurt a loved one. No one would ever think he'd hurt Vanessa but you never really know.

Maria
Maria tried to conceal her excitement at being asked by Daniel to sit with him, and she replied more quickly than she would have though wise in order to avoid suspicions of her feelings for him. "Yes, of course. Thank you, Daniel." She went to the other side of the booth and sat. She smoothed her dress around her as she sat, and then she smoothly folded her hands on the table. She listened to Daniel and admired the way the casual way he talked, and her heart did a flip at the way that slide his hand through his smooth hair so that it became messy. It couldn't be more attractive that way. "Good, good. Yes, I'm sure there are many things that should not be spoken of lightly, especially in times such as these. Oh, I'm fairly well. Nothing new lately, just the regular..." She strained her mind to think of something else to say. "So...Even though you can't spare me the details, do you know if things are going to be getting eventful lately? I mean, with the brotherhood mafia and all?" This wasn't just for conversation, she was genuinely curious. She could tell, like everyone could, that things were starting to get more tense. She hoped things didn't get too bad, but she was also ready for a chance to have more jobs to do. She glanced over toward the bar fight, but it was nothing special. They always fought, no matter what it was about it. She turned back to Daniel as her asked her if she wanted a drink. "Oh, yes, thank you. Anything is fine, just one drink though." She smiled at him. She could hardly contain her happiness, and what bad could come from a smile?

Daniel
Daniel smiled at Maria. "I can tell you things will be getting more eventful..More serious. He paused and told the bartender to get them both one drink. Daniel peered back over at Maria "Just be careful to who you talk to. Word around is there could be a undercover spy among us..." He told her. Daniel thanked the bartender as he headed them their drinks. He slid Maria's in front of her, and moved his closer to him. He smiled as the bartender walked away from them to another table. He glanced back to Maria. He picked his glass up off the table and took a sip, setting it down Daniel looked up at Maria. "I can assure you, everything will be fine. We'll find the spy and put him to justice. Lets just hope we find him or her soon." He said to her with a slight grin at the corner of the mouth. Daniel leaned back in the booth to relax a bit, everyone especially the boss is highly stressed at the moment. Daniel peered to the left of him seeing some of the members finish a pool game in a loud manor. He shook his head at them, those men get to worked up about pool rather than the important things that are going on. Daniel shot Maria a smile. "When your done with your drink would you like to walk around in the maze? He usually wouldn't but he feels it would be a nice opportunity to get away from all the stress of work and everything. Daniel finished off his glass with one swig. Wasn't his favorite kind of whiskey but he didn't care at the moment. That wasn't enough to get him wasted or drunk. That would require a lot more. He pushed his glass to the middle of the table and used a napkin to wipe up some water from the glass of the table.

Maria
Maria listened to Daniel as he told her how things would be getting more serious around here. She could have guessed as much that things were starting to get eventful, but she didn't mind. Just more things to keep them occupied. Then she thought about the possibility of being a spy. "A spy? Do you really think so?" The possibility of there being a spy in their midst might have crossed her mind once or twice, but she had never really thought of it seriously before. She took a look around the room, as if to see if there was any suspicious behavior around in the bar. Seeing none, she turned back to Daniel. After Daniel passed her her drink, she grabbed the glass and took a sip. The sip was just enough to make her want more, and so she took another swig after that. Just one drink, that's all... she reminded herself. She looked at Daniel and smiled as he assured her about bringing the spy to justice. She loved the grin that he gave when he talked about finding the culprit, and she knew that this spy was going to be sorry when Daniel found out who he was. "Yes, I'm sure everything will be just fine around here. I'm not worried. Just as long as these idiots get their acts together and do what they're suppose to when they're told." She shot a glance at the various men around the bar and smiled. She concluded that 'idiots' was a fairly good term to describe them all. Maria's heart almost skipped a beat when he asked her if she would like to walk around the maze. It had been more than once that she had dreamed of him asking the same question, and she could hardly believe it was actually happening. He's just being nice... she had to tell herself. She smiled at him. "Yes, I think a walk would be rather... refreshing." She grabbed her glass as finished it in a few gulps. She started to feel a little dizzy and she thirsted for more, but she knew that another would lead to only another and another after that. Besides, she could hardly wait to go on the walk with Daniel. She slid out of the booth and smoothed her dress as she waited for Daniel, almost giddy with excitement, and perhaps a bit more bubbly than usual because of the drink. For her, it never took much.

Daniel
Daniel smiled as she stood up. He exited the booth and stood tall, he gave Maria a smile "Yeah, we do believe there may be a spy omongst our so called "Family", Lets hope it's not anyone who we wouldn't think it is. He told her and proceeded to the doorway that exits the bar area. As leaving he realized how happy he was sense she agreed to the walk. He didn't expect it, but was sure glad he actually offered. He exited the bar, it was less loud outside than inside. He smiled and walked to the doors leading outside, the sun was high in the sky and it was warm, not particularly hot but a good temperature. As she looked at the open way to the maze he took a deep breath and looked back to Maria. He stood at the Maze, feeling as though he hopes he's not making a mistake doing this. Though he's sure there's no mistake in taking someone for a walk through a maze, like whats the harm in that? Dainel shot Maria a smile as he waited for her. He couldn't lie and say he wasn't going to regret his desicion in taking her though the maze, they'd walk slow not to fast. He'd like to enjoy his time spent with her. Once this is done he has to get back to work and set up the cameras and look for any culprits.

Maria
Maria walked alongside Daniel out the the maze. She thought again about who the spy could be. She had no doubts about who it couldn't be. She knew that it could never by Daniel himself, he was much to loyal and dedicated, and she knew he could never betray Cody. She wondered if Daniel suspected her. Perhaps that would be why he wished to speak with her and walk in the maze, to see if she acted suspicious. She pondered in this thought, but seeing as she had nothing to hide she pushed it to the back of her mind. She looked up at the clear sky as she walked towards him, which turned out to be a mistake on her part.
