Name: James Higgens
Nickname: Jamie
Age: 14 in Freshman year.
Gender: Male
Sexual Orientation: Gay
Appearance: Jamie is very short, thin and small, so he's mostly just skin and bones. He has big blue eyes that match his hair. He tends to keep down to wearing the simple things, like plain t-shirts and shorts. He keeps to neutral colors that blend in so he could keep himself hidden in the backdrop. He has no physical build, but still wears basketball clothing, like basketball sneakers, shorts, and jerseys. He loves to play and watch, so basketball clothing tends to be his clothing of choice. He never really dresses up more than a nice shirt and dress pants. He can never seem to dress himself neatly. He will sometimes come to school a mess because he didn't give his mother time to fix him up.
Personality: Jamie is a quiet and unnoticeable person. He tends to avert attention away from himself, so he tends to have a hard time making friends, which is fine with him. Jamie isn't one for friends so much. He can be blunt and harsh, but he never means to hurt someone's feelings. He keeps on a passive expression, and never gets angry at anyone. He will tell you straight up if he doesn't like you or the things you do. He will make his goals clear and never avoid a question. He will answer everything truthfully and to the best of his knowledge.
Besides that, Jamie tends to care about people. If he knows you, he will want to make you happy. He wants nothing more than to see that he has made another person smile. He is easily persuaded and gullible, so he can be fooled into almost anything. That tends to get him into trouble more often than not...

- Lots of ice cream
- Having friends that care
- People who blatantly ignore him

[b]Background: Jamie's life was perfect. Great parents. Great friends. Great school... everything. Until his father died. When Jamie turned 8, his father died in a car accident. Jamie took it hard. He and his father were very close. Jamie didn't get depressed though. He found a different way to deal with it. He became mute. He never spoke. Not to anyone. He slowly lost himself in his little world and has greatly changed. People began to not notice him as he would never talk.
Jamie was mute for almost 3 years before he met Melissa. Melissa was a new neighbor that had moved down the street from him. She was bubbly and kind, and would try anything to get Jamie to talk. After Jamie began to make sounds, Melissa had to teach the poor guy to speak again. His tonsils were tight and made it hard to talk. By the time he was 13, he was able to talk, but his personality remained pretty much the same.
Jamie's lie after his father's death had stayed pretty much the same. His mother thought he needed something new, so she put him into a new school, hoping that maybe.... just maybe... Jamie would return to who he once was.
