Introduction
The applause rings through the studio, as camera 1 zooms in on the presenter's desk, to a bright smiling man. "Good evening! And welcome to "Whose Roleplay is it Anyway?" - the only show in your imaginarium that lets you become a stand-up comedian. I'm your host, Alfie Moore, here to guide you through the many games and challenges you'll face during your time here." He waves a hand towards a set of eight empty chairs, accompanied by four small tables with pitchers of water and glasses, and some sheets of paper. "Without further ado, let's meet our first set of contestants!" The crowd applauds.
-----
Ladies and Gentlemen! Roll up and join the panel for the best improvisation RP to grace this site since sliced bread (was delivered to me this morning). Create your own 'avatar' in this crazy realm of fantasy, humour and pure madness! No matter what your taste in humour, it is welcome here (as long as it doesn't break the site rules). All I ask is that you take your time, and make your character come to life through his/her actions, as well as his/her speech.
Games are improvised by the host, who will explain the rules to you in a simple manner. All you have to do is play by the rules, and at the end of the round, you will be awarded points (but not be told how many until the end of the episode ^^). An episode consists of 6 rounds (out of which players will play 4 or 5).
In any game there can be up to 8 contestants - if you join too late, you'll be put on the waiting list for the next episode. If there is a waiting list, the player(s) with the lowest score(s) in the most recent episode will be substituted to allow another player(s) in. There will be no more than 3 spaces on the waiting list. This means there are 12 slots in this RP, including Alfie, the host.
If you are 'waiting', you can play as an audience member, who Alfie will frequently ask for ideas for certain games, such as a film style, or an occupation, or even a scene to portray.
-----
Examples of such games include:
Questions - Players are asked to act out a scene of Alfie's choice, speaking only in questions.
Party Quirks - One player is the host of the party. Other players are guests who have funny traits, which the host is unaware of. The host player must guess the traits based on the player's actions. Points for correct guesses, and also to the player for pulling the trait off well.
Film Styles - Players will be given a scene to play out, and at random, they will have to change the style of the scene to one of a hollywood genre, i.e., playing out a scene from Pride and Prejudice in the style of a Horror film, or a specific film, such as re-enacting a scene from the Sound of Music, in the style of the film Inception.
Word count - Players will be required to enact a scene, using only sentences of a specific length, ranging from 1-10 words. Points awarded based on comedic effect.
and many, many more.

"Off-air": When the show is off air, be it at the intermission, or at the end of an episode, you may continue posting in character, and try to bond with other players a bit. It's something that can really help mesh the comedy, so don't be afraid to open up a bit. I don't mind what sort of hijinks characters get up to off-air as long as they are professional in the game. Go have a beer, go on a date, whatever. Just have fun. xD
