Calculating / Deceitful / Polite / Charming
Upon first glance, it seems strange that Gale could ever harm a fly, let alone participate in a murder. He seems to be quite shy; stumbling over his words, fidgeting, sitting quietly and not protesting against the various treatments provided for him. He seems far too sweet to have done anything accused against him.
But this, of course, is an act.
While the courtesy is a lingering part of who he is, as is the formality, Gale himself is much more shrewd and careful than his quiet, sweet persona. The youth holds a strong fascination with the concept of mortality and morality, thinking the former to be a canvas, and the latter to be a curious, dull thing. Gale holds a strong belief that he is one of the few beings of nigh perfection, having seen past the dull monotony that everyone around him follows, the utter waste of time that emotions bring. Anger, sadness, fear; it all serves as a distraction to the true purpose of living: to thrive for the interesting, and die a beautiful death.
Gale enjoys observing how people act, react, tick. He holds an apathy for others, seeing nothing wrong with the pain of others in order to slake his curiosity. However, in the few circumstances that he manages to make a bond, he becomes extremely possessive and clingy. Viewing them as “his”, he will turn into a willing obedient. As long as he finds interest in them, he will protect them fiercely.
"Don’t be stupid. If this was hell, then I would have more to work with."

▷Superiority Complex: Gale believes that others are flawed in how they are obsessed with sentimentality, and while he admits that there is something...off about him, he has faith that it simply allows him to view the world as it truly is, and see the true beauty in life and death.
▷Antisocial Personality Disorder: The Eden brother suffers from a strong case of this. It shows in his ego, his lack of empathy towards others, his false charm and manipulations, lack of morality, and even his possessiveness over the few he “cares” about.

▷Gale is incredibly clever, being able to rationalize situations or events, solve puzzles easily, and very much a manipulator. He has a habit of viewing things as a game, as well, and has no qualms about “folding” when necessary..
▷He’s a very good actor, playing the part of sweet and innocent without a hitch.
▷What he lacks in physical strength and size, he makes up for in speed and knowledge in anatomy. With a decent weapon, Gale can be quite the opponent in a fight.
▷With the territory of knowing when to fold, also comes with having no problem with losing. This can lead him to be wounded if his enemy is intent on doing damage...although Gale doesn’t seem to mind. Fair’s fair, after all.
▷Gale’s pride is a large flaw in itself. While he believes himself to be a higher creature, he also experiences intense loneliness, and, in connection, a jealousy he pretends doesn’t exist.
▷In physical terms, he is fairly weak. He relies on wit, speed, and getting strong hits in during a fight, leaving him with a low defense.
"Come along, now. We have work to do."

They had been foster children since before they could remember.
Born as a result of an abusive relationship (in which their father exhibited the same traits he would eventually pass to his offspring), the young twins had been turned from one household to the next, never being taken in for full adoption. As a result, the children had grown to be incredibly close to one another; speaking with glances alone, staying by each other’s side, serving as the other’s closest companion.
Even from the very beginning, it was clear that Gale was...unstable. While Olive was more or less the type to spit out the innocent questions about laws and justice one might expect from a growing child, Gale opted for more darker topics. He made comments on their foster home’s state of life and activities with a sneer, or followed members of the household around with questions of morbidity hanging upon his lips. He soon learned that this behavior did not encourage many to keep him around for long, and, as such, soon began to work on his act of gentleness from an early age.
As one might expect from one with his condition, Gale soon found himself catching birds, rodents, and other such creatures in secret, and slicing them up while there was still life in their body. Just to answer his questions, or so his logic went. Nothing wrong with a little learning, right? After all, they’d end up studying anatomy later in their education, so there was nothing wrong with getting a headstart...Eventually, he brought Olive into this little “game” of his, helping his twin learn his technique, and encouraging her to develop her own.
Gale also had a strong fondness for writers such as Poe, Lovecraft- the strange and the morbid. There’s a chance that if he had a chance to grow up normally, he would have become an excellent surgeon or sociologist. He had the mind for it, after all, and the fascination for the topics.
Both he and his sister had gone most of their lives without forming any real attachments to their guardians. They were temporary, after all; no point in attempting to muster any feelings for them. That changed, however, with the Mallorys.
They were wealthy, they were caring, they were perfect. They doted on both children as if they were their own, showering them with affection and sweets. While Gale wasn’t capable of such love, he returned the feelings as best as he could. He did his best to be a good child, to be perfect so that he and his sister could finally get adopted to this wonderful family.
There was still the problem, however, of their hobbies. Eventually, the twins were found in the middle of one of their dissections. Shocked, the couple called up CPS, reporting the problem so that the two could finally get some proper help. The twins were taken away and put into a therapy program, although it could do nothing for them now. While it was supposed to be for their own good, Gale seethed at the reaction. They had promised to take care of them, spoke about how they had always wanted children...Hadn’t he and his sister been good enough? Biting back his fury, he posed as a disturbed individual who steadily began to heal.
Much to the twins’ chagrin, instead of being sent back to the Mallorys, they were sent to an older woman- a retired teacher. Frustrated at this turn of events, he pulled Olive aside and began to plot. They would get their parents back. They would. One day, after gathering enough trust in the foster parent, they murdered her and burned her body in the fireplace. After disposing of the evidence (Olive had done quite the research on the proper way to do so. It wouldn’t be good at all if they got caught before they begun), the pair beat one another and found their way to their old home. Pleading for safety from a supposed assaulter, the two were let in. Upon seeing the Mallory couple begin to phone the police, however, the siblings struck. They drugged the pair, dragging them down to the basement and locking them up.
The Eden siblings reasoned that, with enough time, their “parents” would come to their senses and let them be one happy family together. They took good enough care of the two, feeding them, letting them use the restroom, take showers, and stretch their legs- all with supervision, of course. However, after several months, the disappearance of the Mallorys and the old woman were put under investigation. The twins were soon discovered with their captives, and taken into custody. Both pleaded insanity to their crimes, and, after proper testing, were deemed as such and sent to WildOak.
What affection Gale had for the Mallorys is gone, now. They rejected him and his sister, after all, and even went against them in the trial! Now, however, the youth plots to make a new home at the institution.
They didn’t need anyone, anymore. They had each other.
