Elaine is the type of person who never ends up acting how she wants to. She's learned that caring can hurt, so she tries to hide it. Some could say she's too nonchalant about everything and a bit too apathetic, but she does care, she just shows it differently, usually by thinking up a plan or way to deal with the problem. Despite that, once placed in the middle of a stressful situation, she often acts without thinking, and rushes into things head first. She's extremely creative, and occasionally thinks of situations in completely different ways than her peers, but her suggestions often come at either ill-timed or ill-placed locations. Elaine is very trusting, and though she's quick to forgive, once her trust is broken things are never the same, and often, while she tries not to, she'll be hurt immensely by the actions of others. Usually though, around her friends, she's a very cheerful, teasing sort of person. She's very blunt though, and often comes across as rude, much to her dismay.

Aspirations:
To become an author.
Fears:
Spiders, Heights, Pain
Talents:
She's actually a really good writer. What she lacks in social skills, she makes up for in composition, mathematic, and science skills. Additionally, she's rather decent at playing the piano, mainly from years of practice.
Quirks:
She always wears mismatched socks. Always. Regardless of whether she has a pair or not, she always does.

Home Life:
"Elaine sweetheart, show Mister Harolds how well you play that tune.
Elaine's childhood was rather happy. The result of a happily married couple, she was the only child of Sara and Michael Hartford. She was expected to be the pride and joy of the family, and from a young age, it was made evident she had to be perfect in every way. She was going to take over the company after all, so she had to. In fact, she became a show child of sorts. It was always show Mr.Campbell this, or do that for Mrs.Lewis. Never a moment free to herself, Elaine was always raised to be the perfect child for everyone else
"Elaine dear, what are you wearing? Go put that outfit we'd bought you on."
In school, Elaine was a model child. Quiet, obedient, and intelligent, she eased through the majority of her classes. It was in high school, though, that her true personality bloomed. She became a bit bolder, and a bit less quiet. She no longer cared much about what her peers or parents thought of her. She became outgoing, and cheerful, and while she never really let any of her classmates in, she was friendly, and cheerful, and overall decent. She didn't take any nonsense though, and would point out if she thought someone was wrong, which never made anyone popular. In fact, it made her grades fall incredibly, and she ended up without sufficient scores to make it into any of the decent colleges.
