ImageFull name:
"Pronounce it right." Adalind Sasha Rose Parks. [ Add-uh-lyn-d ] Yes, it's a long name, and she prefers to keep the middle name "Sasha" to herself, because that was her mother's name.

Nickname:
"I have a name for a reason. Use it." Adalind typically hates nicknames, however, she will answer to Addie or Ada, but those are the only two she'll accept. If you want to piss her off, the fastest way to do so is to call her "babe", "honey", or "baby". To her, those are names a guy gives you when he doesn't feel the need to bother remembering your name. If you're going to give her a nickname, it might as well be meaningful, and unique to her, that way she knows you want her in your life. Never call her by a nickname you could give to just anyone. However, despite this rule of hers, she uses these names for other people often. Why? Because she never expects them to stay in her life.

Age:
"Finally legally able to drink, not that a number ever stopped me." Twenty-one years old.

Gender:
"All female baby. Need proof?" Female

Species:
"What the fuck are you smoking?" Human

Role:
"Just a small girl stuck in a small ass town." Girl 1

Appearance:
"Careful now, looks can be deceiving." Adalind's appearance is extremely deceiving, standing in complete contrast to her personality. She's a petite little thing with a slender figure and thin bones. She stands at a height of five feet, six inches. She has a small, delicate build and looks extremely breakable, even if she's anything but. While her mother has rich, ebony hair and her father has sandy blonde hair, Adalind's is something in between. It's a rich mocha brown and lays in pretty waves, sometimes, curls, depending on how they dry after a shower. Her bangs sweep across her naturally tanned skin and, besides these, she's never cut her hair, allowing it to fall all the way down to the small of her back. Framed by the thick eyelashes of her mother, Adalind is the only child of her family to have sparkling blue eyes; Which are only made bluer by her brown hair. Her cheeks are rounder then her mother's, giving her a softer, less harsh look. Her eyes are rather large, her lips small and pink, and her face round, giving her an innocent, good-girl appearance, even if she's the complete opposite.

As far as style goes, Adalind likes the "hipster" look. Where she appears to not give a damn, but somehow, it just works. Her typical outfits consist of old band tees with a pair of jean shorts and combat boots. She loves to create fashionable, yet edgy looks that show off her tough personality without being straight out punk. Very rarely does she wear makeup, as she finds it unnecessary, though for work, she wears some lipgloss and a bit of mascara.

As for tattoos and piercings, Adalind has several, and every one of them has a story. Her right ear is pierced seven times, each one standing for a different one of her siblings. (Yes, there were eight of them, including her). Her left ear is pierced three times in the cartilage, each one of those representing a dead sibling. And finally, her nose is pierced with a small heart, representing her dead mother. When it comes down to tattoos, Ada has three. Her very first tattoo, she got when she was only fifteen, and it's a picture of a bird springing free from it's cage. It sits on her left shoulder. During that time, she felt trapped by her life, and was desperate to get free and be on her own, so she got a piece of art to represent that. The second one she got was a butterfly calf tattoo, that she got just after turned eighteen and was going to leave home, symbolizing new beginnings. And finally, the third one, (even though the picture shows on the back) sits low along the waistline of her jeans and reads: "I'm the hero of this story. I don't need to be saved."

ImagePersonality:
vulgar [vuhl-ger]
Adejctive

1. Characterized by ignorance of or lack of good breeding or taste
2. Indecent; obscene; lewd
3. Crude; coarse; unrefined

"Give me a chance, and you'll see that all that innocence is merely the cover." The word different is an understatement for Adalind Parks. She is the embodiment of the youth stereotype: Pissed off at the world and driven by passion. She's not the type to let others influence her and marches completely to her own drum. She's unafraid to say what she's thinking, having absolutely no filter. She's crude and often vulgar. You never quite know what will come out of her mouth and when. She's stubborn and does what she wants, when she wants, making her very hard to control. She doesn't take orders well and has a very short attention span, preferring to do things on her own time. When asked to do something, her typical response is: "When I get to it."

Despite this though, Ada has the ability to shock. Her personality changes, seemingly randomly. She can be rude, wild, ignorant, and stubborn one day, and the next she's calm, collected, and obedient. She's an extremely complex girl, and, as soon as you think you've got her figured out, she changes. She's a completely driven by passion and emotion. When she's feeling something, you'll know. Though, very rarely, does she show any sign of sadness or pain. Her most common emotions are anger, pride, and passion. She does what she wants to do, when she wants to do it, dancing to her own beat without giving a second thought to what the world thinks about it. Often times, she misses the bigger picture, unable to truly understand that, though she was thinking it, what she just said may have just gotten her into trouble.

Addie also has an incredible ability for persuasion. Though, in her natural state, she seems to be carefree and clueless, she is able to take on any role at the drop of a hat. Her smooth, hypnotic voice, persuading ocean-colored eyes, and ability to spin words better than a spider can spin a web make her extremely dangerous. Adalind has a sinister side to her, and loves to break rules and live her life on the edge. She doesn't care who she hurts, as long as she'd having fun doing it. She's a complete party girl and would rather be getting drunk and dancing to loud, pulse quivering music, than be sitting in a classroom studying any day. She's a wildcard. The surprising girl.

Ada may seem rude, have a wicked side to her, and stay mostly closed off, but once you earn her loyalty and trust, you know you can count on her until the end. One thing she holds very highly is trust for to her, if there is no trust, there cannot be a relationship. No matter what kind of relationship, trust is essential. At first, she's rough, brash, maybe a bit overbearing, and extremely guarded, but should you actually spend time with her, you would come to see that it is rather easy to adapt to her strange personality and she's actually rather pleasant to have around. As a friend, she's not the best person to come to for comfort or a good cry, but she'll always be loyal to you. Though she can lie easily, once you have her loyalty, she'll go to the ends of the earth for you. She tries to do her best by everyone, but she's no saint. In fact, she's probably closer to a devil than an angel, but, for those she cares about, she'll break any moral code out there.

ImageHistory:
"It's not a pretty story. Don't say I didn't warn you." Adalind may be young, but her story is a tragic one. She was born, the seventh child of a prostitute. Her siblings and her were all a year apart, almost exactly, and she had a younger sister who was three years younger. Eight of them in one, poor household. Including their mother, there were nine mouths to feed. It was a rough existence, and they children hated what their mother did for money, but they understood why she had to do it, and loved her dearly. When Adalind was seven, was the first time she found out about her mother's "job", as her older siblings had been trying to protect the younger ones. When she found out, she was horrified at first, and crushed to realize that her little sister and older brother were her only true siblings. The other five were only half-brothers and half-sisters. For a year, she was furious, angry at her mother, her siblings, everything, but slowly, she came through it and realized that her mother only did what she did to keep them from starving.

However, she still swore she'd never fall into her mother's footsteps, and she'd get away to live her life as a politician or a lawyer. Her hopes were high, but life had a different idea in mind. When she was eleven, her shabby little home caught fire. Her oldest sibling was now 18, but was still living at home, in fact, they all were, to help take care of the younger ones and their mother, for she was sick at the time. Three of her siblings died in the fire. Her little sister, the oldest, and the one that was two years older than her. Her mother also died.

Those under eighteen were to go to their rightful fathers. Meaning that every single one of them was separated, far and wide, sending Ada and her brother to the small town of Graywood. It was traumatic, and, while Ada and her brother ended up with a politician as a father, he hated them and made that clear. He was running for president, and the sudden appearance of a 11 year-old daughter and 15 year-old son he'd had with a prostitute, put a big dent in his campaign, and he lost. They were always at odds, never able to agree, and he was very cold to them, making it clear that they were nothing more than thorns in his side and he couldn't wait to get rid of them at 18.

When she was 12, she wandered out into the woods behind her house and something strange happened. She'd been following a rabbit, when something knocked into her, causing her to fall. When she looked up, she found that she was surrounded by wolves, and they circled her, growling and snarling. Too scared to scream, she sat in shock while they nipped at her, closing in, their circle tightening. Then she heard a howl, and from somewhere in the trees another wolf burst into the circle. He pushed her to the ground and stood over her, she was sure that it was the end, but instead of killing her, he stood over her defensively, growling at the other wolves viciously, who, amazingly, backed down. The whole rescue lasted only a minute, but she still remembers it vividly, and the eyes of the wolf are still burned into her subconscious, refusing to let her sleep.

Adalind was stuck with her negligent father and deadbeat brother for six years, until her older brother turned eighteen. She was 17 at the time, and was hoping he would take her away from Graywood, but her brother, at the time, had no job, no money, and was constantly hooked on drugs and alcohol. His friends frightened her, and the only good thing her father ever gave her was a lock on her bedroom door. However, at this time, her fathers job called for him to move to New York. She wanted desperately to go, if only to get out of Graywood, but he refused, claiming that her brother was old enough to act as her legal guardian for a year, and so he left them, not even allowing the to have the house.

With nowhere to go, Adalind and her brother found a cheap little hovel in the crappy side of town and settled in there. Luckily, the house still sat at the edge of the woods, so Ada could sit out back and watch the trees for her nightly visits from her wolf. At eighteen, she wanted to leave yet again, and had her plans set. She even got a tattoo for the occasion of making a new life for herself, however, she realized that if she left her crackhead brother behind, he wouldn't last a day, so she had to stay. Even though she wasn't legally allowed to drink, the owner of The Full Moon Bar gave her a job as a bartender out of pity, and she's been working there for three years, trying to scrape together enough money to leave her brother a good sized fund, and head out of Graywood. Where she'll never have to deal with her brother, his crackhead friends, or the haunting memory of the wolf, ever again.

"I think I've told you enough" Not really

Good Charlotte - I Don't Wanna Be In Love

She's going out to forget they were together
All that time he was taking her for granted
She wants to see if there's more
Than he gave she's looking for

He calls her up
He's trippin' on the phone now
He doesn't want her out there
And alone now

He knows she's movin' it
Knows she's using it
Now he's losing it, she don't care

Everybody put up your hands
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Feel the beat now
If you've got nothing left
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Back it up now
You've got a reason to live
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Feelin' good now
Don't be afraid to get down
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

He was always giving her attention
Looking hard to find the things she mentioned
He was dedicated but most suckers hate it
That girl was fine but she didn't appreciate him

She calls him up
She's trippin' on the phone now
He had to get up
And he ain't comin' home now

He's tryin' to forget her
That's how we come with him
When he first met her
When they first got together

Everybody put up your hands
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Feel the beat now
If you got nothing left
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Back it up now
You got a reason to live
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Feelin' good now
Don't be afraid to get down
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

To the beat, to the beat, to the beat
You got nothing to lose
Don't be afraid to get down

We break up, it's something that we do now
Everyone has got to do it sometime
It's okay, let it go
Get out there and find someone

It's too late to be trippin' on the phone here
Get off the wire, know everything is good here
Stop what you're doin', you don't wanna ruin
The chance that you got to find a new one

Everybody put up your hands
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Feel the beat now
If you got nothing left
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Back it up now
You got a reason to live
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

Feelin' good now
Don't be afraid to get down
Say I don't wanna be in love
I don't wanna be in love

No, no
Now you know what to do
So come on, get up, girl
