Water Hazard had sprouted out of the sewers and had a disgusted look on his face, "Damn, that was miserable in there, but at least I am out. Now if I can find some other members to keep those bastards away."

You're lucky human, I wiped it's memories. However you'll explain to me what that thing was. Why do I feel like I know it? The Alien imitating Noir said, still speaking through it's mind and taking a few steps towards the doctor, enjoying its new form, causing the daggered tail to swish behind him. Though he wouldn't admit he enjoyed it.

"oh, that's just one of the subjects we run experiments on.. basically he gets a home, and we get to open him up, fill him with science stuff, and patch him back together, good as new. the horns and such aren't from us, just how he reacted to DNA from your species. which is strange, because he looks nothing like you. Oh well." He takes a moment to scribble in his notepad - noting the shape-shifting and memory wipe abilities- before putting it away and pulling out his rubber mallet. "Now, if you'll excuse me, there appears to be a brat in my office smashing my jar of radio-active jellybeans. Keep up, we were heading there anyway." With that, he clenched the handle of "begging-be-gone" and proceeded briskly down the hall towards his office.

As he burst through the door, he took a moment to glare at miku before sighing. "oh, it's you. He takes a moment to walk over to his bookshelf and grabs a small box containing a pair of ear plugs and puts them in. "Ok, I'm only going to say this once. OUT." He turns and glares at Miku glancing only briefly to the jar of oddly glowing jelly beans.

Miku smiled as the door was flung open, her feet resting on Redfield's desk smugly. "oh, it's you." Her smile grew has he said those words and put in the earplugs. "You know me to well." She said with a sadistic smile placing the megaphone one the desk. "Ok, I'm only going to say this once. OUT." "Aww. I missed you too." She faked a frown but it soon turned back to that sadistic smile of hers. She placed her feet back on the ground and placed her elbows on the desk, resting her head in her hands.

"You've really went and done it this time old friend. How many security guards was it that died in the last brake out?" She carelessly leaned back in his chair as she spoke. "You know subject 0416 escaped correct? The people upstairs are ever upset with you right now. in fact there so upset they have given me level ten clearance and sent me here to restore and maintain...Oordeer." Her voice sounded almost pleasured as that last word slipped out long and exaggerated. Her eyes sparkled as she sat there waiting on his response, hoping to see the fear, anger, and sadness cross his face.

Redfield sighed and walked over to the desk, placing both palms on the desk and leaning down to look miku in the face. "Real quick, what does my name badge say? It says 'Doctor Tobias Redfield, Chief Science Officer' I believe the maintaining of 'oordeer' and the confinement of the walking pee-puddle are the job of the chief of security. So if those grits eating bastards want to challenge me, tell them I said good luck." Redfields eyes were cold as ice as he glared at the girl across from him, He knew from her file that she enjoyed pushing people's buttons, and if anyone was going to be pushing buttons it would be him and his doomsday machines... or matter replicators (i.e. Muffin button). He stretched out 'oordeer' just as she had, mocking her sadistic joy at having won nothing.

"In the meantime, if you're here to maintain 'oordeer' then do it from the chief of security's office. I'm pretty sure he died in the escape. Now, are you going to leave my office, or do I need subject 0013 here to 'escort' you out." He takes a moment to indicate the alien behind him, still in disguise as Noir. "You've never actually seen his power, have you? Rest assured, it's quite unpleasant. especially for you, I hear. If he wanted to, he could make you stand perfectly still. Nice and quiet like the good little lab rat you are." Redfield's eyes narrow to slits as he says this, a faint smile twitching at his lips to match hers. "So what'll it be?"

Miku smiled her evil smile see Redfield so worked is just what she wanted, it was her fix. "Real quick, what does my name badge say? It says 'Doctor Tobias Redfield, Chief Science Officer' I believe the maintaining of 'oordeer' and the confinement of the walking pee-puddle are the job of the chief of security. So if those grits eating bastards want to challenge me, tell them I said good luck." She let out giggle as he spoke, loving his anger. She opened her mouth to speak but was cut off by him.

"In the meantime, if you're here to maintain 'oordeer' then do it from the chief of security's office. I'm pretty sure he died in the escape. Now, are you going to leave my office, or do I need subject 0013 here to 'escort' you out." "Subject 0013?" She asked looking looking behind. "And just what can he do agai--" She was cut off again by Redfields obsessive rambling which angered her, he refused to to talk in order. "You've never actually seen his power, have you? Rest assured, it's quite unpleasant. especially for you, I hear. If he wanted to, he could make you stand perfectly still. Nice and quiet like the good little lab rat you are." Her smiled died as he put the emphases on the word quiet, turning the smile into an angry frown. "So what'll it be?" Her fingers tapped against the desk to break the moment of silence, her breathing got heavy and she started to sweat. She stared at him seeing that smile of his, that damn smug little smile. Her teeth ground together at the thought of the silence, the unholy silence and not being able to do anything about it.

"Damn you Redfield." She said standing up and taking her megaphone of the desk. "You cant hide behind 13 forever, I will catch you alone and I will make you pay." She walked past him bumping her shoulder into his as an act of defiance, stopping at the door. "Oh one more thing before i go." A smile appeared on her face as she opened her mouth and let out a scream to high pitched for human ears to hear. The jars all over the room started to crack then finally shattered. She looked back "Wow looks like you've got one hell of a mess to clean up." A smile came across her face as she walked out and down the hall.

Redfield sighs exasperated as the alien became angry and tied him up. It's just one problem after the other today.. He takes a moment to glance around the office at all his broken specimen jars, the smell of formaldehyde permeating the air. Looking back to the alien, he lets off a look more annoyed than sympathetic. it was hard to breath, but he got enough breath to speak in a low whisper.

"Look, this project is over fifty years old. If you want the guy who's idea it was to stick a needle in your petrified arm and get some blood samples to give people super powers, you kinda missed him by about 30 years." He pauses for a second to jerk his head towards a painting that was mostly covered in sticky notes, with the portrait of a man well into his seventies, the name at the bottom was covered by another sticky note, though this one didn't have anything written on it.

"So, you can get mad at me for something that was way before my time here, or you can acknowledge that what's done is done, and focus on the positives. For instance, we still have your ship is storage. Disassembled and reversed engineered here or there, but intact none the less. Also, given time, I could replicate the serum that brought you back to life and revive the rest of your crew. Meaning; with a little help from me, you could go home; but only with my help. so you really might want to think twice about killing me."

[Dr.] Ashleigh Vanderbilt - Wish

The man she’d called out to actually turned to give her his attention. The young woman looked up to him, as he was taller than her, and was startled as his face morphed from irked discontent to pleasant. The effect of it was stomach churning and somewhat ominous.

"Dietrich Kamui," he replied introducing himself and shaking her hand in acquaintance. "Welcome to Wish, I was just heading over to the science office, I'm guessing you heard the intercom." he laughed nervously. “I did. Was that a joke?” she asked with concern. Her eyebrows pinched together. Something about all of this was off. They continued to walk. Whether Dietrich noticed that she followed him didn’t matter. Leigh was quiet, mindful of herself. She walked with slight hesitation, her eyes peeled for other oddities. When they turned a corner all of a sudden there was a body splayed out on the floor unconscious. It was a curious looking human, one that shocked Leigh when she saw it. Immediately she stopped in her tracks. Dietrich’s reaction was different.

"Noir!" he shouted before rushing to the side of the thing on the floor. Leigh watched as he went through the motions of checking if it was alive. The man was methodical, checking it’s pulse and airways. Once he was sure he was alright the doctor hauled the creature into his arms. When he stood and turned in another direction Leigh held her hand out for a moment. As she tried to speak her breath caught a hitch and all she could emit was a squeak.

In a huff she swallowed her words and rushed to follow him. Dietrich ushered himself toward the closest set of double doors. When he pushed through them she followed, astounded that she walked into what appeared to be a mix between a university style lab setting and operating room. Dietrich laid the creature on the gurney and immediately checked for any other issues. He moved his hands across it’s limbs in search of broken bones. He searched for bruises or contusions. The man was nothing less than content when he found nothing. Leigh watched him move, standing in the back corner, her hands fidgeting as she felt awkward.

"He's probably exhausted," Dietrich muttered. Leigh immediately thought of half a dozen other reasons why the boy wasn’t conscious. “You should check his brain activity to be sure,” she piped up, her voice low and seemingly out of place. She blinked twice and eyed Dietrich unsure if he would lash out at her like her professors often did for advising him. The eighteen year old set her backpack down on the floor. She still had her copy of her paperwork to give them. With no secretary to hand it to she figured Dietrich would know where to put it. Everything was there, her consent for the secret, along with her consent to be a subject. Unzipping it she hauled out the clipped stack. She held it in her hands. “I’m not sure who I’m supposed to give this to," she confessed aloud, setting it down on a side table before finding a box of latex gloves close to the table. Covering her hands she approached the unconscious creature on the table. “Is it even human?” she asked.

To her surprise Dietrich hadn’t even noticed that she’d trailed him. Even more so, he nodded to her remark and set about analyzing Noir’s brain activity. Leigh found that the plugs and wires attached to the creatures forehead worked quickly and efficiently. Dietrich didn’t feel obligated to any long-term scans. He committed a relatively quick report before looking quizzically at the results. At that point she’d been bending down to retrieve her paperwork. Dietrich finished his report before handling her paperwork, responding to her questions.

"Not really, no." Dietrich replied. Leigh gasped, keeping her hands away from it. She had trouble at first distinguishing it’s gender before recognizing that Noir was male. The horns concerned her. It looked odd, so foreign. The teen swallowed, wanting to escape. If anything she wanted to find a stack of textbooks and a computer. She wanted to get to work on distinguishing the textbook side of the compounds. That was what they had brought her there for, to analyze their compounds, to break down the bonds, see what different parts do, to manipulate it, see if it could work better. Yet here she was witnessing what a random experiment had produced, an odd thing that she first could only think of as an ‘it.’

“You didn’t know this would happen to him?” she asked, wondering why they would go in so blind. If they had subjects it was best to analyze their own DNA and the compounds, test it on isolated cells to see the result. Everything had to be calculated before it was tried. At least that was her frame of mind. “Is this the result of the compounds or surgical grafting?” she wondered aloud.

Redfield took a breath and straightened up, shaking the wrinkles out of his lab coat as he recomposed himself.
"But first, revive the others as you did so to me." Redfield scoffed at the request, shaking his head. "It's not that simple, like I said, I would need time. You were revived through a reagent that had just passed testing. There was only one vial of it, and that went into reviving you. All of my notes for creating the reagent are on my droid, which you broke when you woke up. Before I can revive your companions, I need to get my droid working again. and with the damage you did to it, it will take at least a few days, maybe a week." After a moment, Redfield turned and walked to his chair with a slight limp. The alien's bindings had injured his left hip and loosened a rib or two. Sitting down, he leaned back in the seat and watched the noir look-alike with an observant eye.

after a moment, he turned to his keyboard and punched in a few digits. the door behind the alien slid shut, sealing the room. "but before I do anything to help you, I need to know whether you can put the past behind you or not. Since it would be unwise for me to just send you on home when you have coordinates for our solar system, as well as a grudge. Right now, this room is sealed, nothing can get in or out. And if the computer can't sense any human life signs, the air will immediately be evacuated. It's sort of my final farewell if I get into a situation like this, though I was expecting the real Noir, not a look-alike. So before we do anything, I want you to turn back to your form, and have a seat. As I said earlier, I need to get a few questions out of the way. firstly, what I can call you." Redfield's demeanor was calm and clinical. His usual humor deserting him after being threatened for the third time today.

Alien (Ixexas)
Science Office

Dr. Redfield limped over to his chair, sitting down and watching the Alien intently. It was annoyed due to the fact that it would have to wait, for a few days or even a week. Though, it didn't know about what that meant, since their planet didn't experience the same time, but it didn't seem like a short while. There was a sliding sound followed by a lock, the Alien turned sharply to see that the doorway they had come from was now locked, sealed up in every possible way. "But before I do anything to help you, I need to know whether you can put the past behind you or not. Since it would be unwise for me to just send you on home when you have coordinates for our solar system, as well as a grudge. Right now, this room is sealed, nothing can get in or out. He turned back to the scientist, his eyes narrowing at the fact he had to agree to not attack Earth, even though they were the ones in the wrong. It wasn't really like he had a choice though, if it came down to it, it would be much better to return to their home with everyone alive once again, rather than being the last of his species and stuck on Earth. The Alien mutated until it was back to it's original form, sitting down on one of the chairs and staring forward at the doctor. "Fine human, we won't attack your precious planet," he implanted the words in the doctors mind, though the oxygen wasn't friendly to the Alien, it was the only way it could breath on this planet, so causing that to go will be troublesome, so he wouldn't attack the doctor directly again. "Others from my species call me Ixexas." he wasn't pleased to be answering questions, but he would have to in order to get out.

Dietrich Kamui
Lab 5

“You didn’t know this would happen to him?” the female scientist spoke out, stopping her advancing on Noir, it was obvious she was a bit put off by the creature, it was understandable. Dietrich put the papers on the table and walked over to her, standing beside her and looking down at Noir. "No, and I don't think he does either," Dietrich let out a long and pained sigh, turning to face Leigh, leaning back on the examination table. "Brain scans show that part of his memory is missing, come to think of it before hand he was in the recovery room after having surgery on his ribs. We found Dr. Redfield, the head scientist in there taking blood from him, that man is crazy, so perhaps he did something to Noir..."

[Dr.] Ashleigh Vanderbilt - Wish

Leigh’s mind was running wild, but in a direction she wouldn’t have thought. She found wonder in what the boy had become before her. He looked like something you might find in a cartoon. His existence, well it proved something. It felt almost magical but the thought was too juvenile. The other side of her was terrified at what was in front of her and horrified at the idea that some orphan had been turned into this against his will. It made her inhale deeply. Dietrich dropped her paperwork where he had found it and faced her. The proximity made her feel scared.

"Brain scans show that part of his memory is missing, come to think of it before hand he was in the recovery room after having surgery on his ribs. We found Dr. Redfield, the head scientist in there taking blood from him, that man is crazy, so perhaps he did something to Noir..." he sighed. Leigh swallowed at the description of one of her colleagues. He was experimenting on live subjects, this Redfield, and wasn’t of a clear mind? Maybe, she wondered, Dietrich was speaking like most others would of their co-workers, with exaggeration?

“Sounds like something out of a movie, removing someone’s memory. Hopefully Noir’s mind is strong enough that he won’t be too hurt by it,” she replied, the creature’s name sounding awkward as she said it. It didn’t sound like a name to her and it showed in how she spoke it. Leigh stepped back, peeling the gloves off her hands. Balling them up she disposed of them. “I think I’ll find my workspace, try to get settled in and acquainted here,” she smiled weakly.

[Dr.] Ashleigh Vanderbilt - Wish

Leigh was stunned. Every so often she’d suck in a sharp breath, careful to hold her tongue. Her surprise wasn’t something she wanted to show and yet it was clear as day on her face. Dr. Redfield, as he had been introduced, seemed in charge of the situation. His confidence was so strong that Leigh was intimidated. The creature in front of them had such an odd name, one that Leigh needed to hear repeatedly to get right. Ixexas. Ixexas.

And he wasn’t human, not even close.

The creature was alien to them, completely foreign and otherworldly. Leigh was shocked. It wasn’t even truly human in appearance. It was like nothing she’d ever seen. And while it shrank back on Redfield’s suggestion it quickly lost it’s temper. Emotions weren’t foreign to it but it had no reign on them either. Dietrich appeared strong for a moment. He held himself tall but he was shaking. The tremors caught Leigh’s attention because she stood so close behind him.

Redfield explained that she was to replace a previous scientist, news she hadn’t wanted or needed to know. In fact it made her cringe. It was quite obvious that Redfield wasn’t stable. He wasn’t phased in the slightest that he had an alien before him that was frustrated. He didn’t flinch or move. He reminded her of psychopaths. There was a slight sparkle in his eye, like for some absurd reason he was enjoying himself. Leigh’s upper lip twitched in disgust.

“That’s the thing which was dead in Lab 9, what’s it doing up here and alive?!” Dietrich yelled, his voice becoming louder as he spoke. Leigh inhaled sharply and stepped back. The alien immediately responded to the break in tension in the room. It stood, its skin manipulating itself. Within a blink it stood before them a sudden duplicate of Noir. Leigh gasped. Ixexas moved quickly, jutting out it’s copy of Noir’s tail to stab Dietrich in the abdomen. “Please no,” she cried, stepping forward to support the man in front of her. He leaned forward, his back lurching. Leigh held her hands out to his underarms to support him, her head resting on the side of his arm.

“Thing?! Inferior human, you don’t understand the situation you are in.” Ixexas growled. Leigh shook, trying to immediately gage the depth of the wound by watching the copied tail flick from side to side. At the moment the alien paid Leigh attention to froze, her lips twitching with fear. Her stomach rolled into a tight knot and her breath wedged itself in her throat. Her eyes watered slightly. This was almost too much to handle.

“Human,” Ixexas started. He approached her and despite how much she wanted to turn her face away she couldn’t. “You’re innocent, you should stay that way.”

“Let me help him, please. He’s only done what he’s been told. We had no idea. If we had known we were manipulating another species we would never have…” she trailed, her voice catching. The last thing she wanted to do was aggravate it into lashing out on her again.

Slowly she pulled Dietrich towards her, reaching her head under his arm to throw his arm and a large portion of his weight onto his shoulder. “I will do whatever I can to make this right with you,” she told Ixexas. Her honesty shone through her words. She stared right at the alien and although she was trembling her words were firm.

As she turned to help her colleague away a passing thought entered her mind. “Don’t trust Redfield, he doesn’t seem like the type to ever let you go…more like a pathological liar.”
