Name: Raith Kaleheister

"Wake me up again, and I'll kill you. Now I hope we have a better understanding between us."

0 · 281 views · located in The Continent

a character in “Witching Wars Chapter two”, as played by Gintoki Sakata

Description

Name: Raith Kaleheister

Title/Position: The Saber Tyrant/2nd in command Witch Hunter

Gender: Male

Home base: Main Headquaters.

Class: S

Contract/Abilities: Raith has two seals on the palms of his hands that he can use to summon various types of swords from a special storage unit in the main headquarters. How powerful each sword is, depends on how long it takes to summon it. Each sword has different abilities, but his favorite one is the Shatter Forest sword. A few other swords that wont be made up on the spot, are the Tainted Abyss sword, the Wrath's Edge sword, and the Insanity's Blessing sword. Another fact about the seals, is that if one of them is damaged, it will take twice as long to summon the sword. If both are damaged, then Raith can't summon them at all.
He has also made a contract with an arctic wolf spirit that he named, Bozu. Bozu is incredibly cheerful and outgoing. However, she can be very rebellious when she chooses to be. She dosen't like her master's attitude most of the time, seeing as he is always trying to blow someone up or kill them. Even if she knows he isn't serious. She all out attacks him, when he attempts it with her, but she never really hurts him too badly. Even though she dosen't approve of Raith's personality, she admires him on the field. She always catches him, protecting lower ranks under him whenever things get too rough. She believes that he is really a big softy under his rough exterior. Sometimes Bozu likes to take on the appearence of a human, in order to feel a better attachment to humans. When she is in her wolf form she seems more mature and calm, although still easily aggrivated. Her voice also takes a much deeper tone.
Bozu's abilities consist of using the mix of purple, pink, and blue flames immiating from her body and rushing at her opponents, using them for a mass impact. Her flames are incredibly dense and nearly impossible to put out. Even if the opponent managed too, she could light them up again with ease. She is also able to spurt them out of her mouth while in Wolf form. The ram head on her tail will also play some part in combat, I'll just make up what it does during the rp. In human form her abilities are limited to immiating small amounts of flame from her limbs. Sometimes she can make a medium-sized weapon from them, that can only maintain it's solid form for a short period of time. Of course, how much power she can use depends on Raith. Sometimes he lowers her power enough to where she has to stay in human form, which angers her.

Sword Rankings from weakest to strongest:
Wraith's Edge- Instantly summoned.
Inasnity's Blessing- Takes around 12 seconds.
Shatter Forest- 28 seconds.
Tainted Abyss- 34 seconds.

Age: 17

Description: Raith is around 5'10 and about 117lbs. He has a fairly-built body, that still gives off a somewhat small exterior at first glance. He has dull redish eyes, and light-brown hair. He is ussually seen wearing the official Witch Hunter uniform, but when he's off duty he can be seen wearing a dark-red hoodie, and slacks. He also has a pair of steel fingerless gloves that was made to be as malleable and easily bent as cloth. These are to protect the seals on his hands during combat. One last bit of clothing would be the red sleeping mask with humerous cartoonish eyes on them, that he always has strapped to his forehead.

Sexual Orientation: He hasen't given it any thought, but he is supposedly straight.

Spouse/Lover: None.

Personality: Raith is a complete sadist. He enjoys harming others both physically and mentally for his own entertainment. But most of the time he is just playing around. If he tries to blow you up, it means that he has taken a liking to you. However, he does have a light side. He would be willing to give his life for the few people he cares for. If someone were to harm them, they would have him to deal with.

Equipment/Weapons: A variety of magical swords hidden away in a special storage unit.

History: Raith was never like other people. Not even as a child. He always tormented and threatened other kids, as well as getting into various fights. He grew up with his older sister and his father. His mother had died while giving birth to him. Soon his father became ill and passed away from one heart attack, out of eight. They didn't have enough money to get him treated, seeing as they were still in debt from several companies, as well as their landlord. One day he came and demanded that they pay this month's as well as the other past 6 month's rent now. Raith's older sister, who was around 19 at the time told him they didn't have any money. He and the men he brought with him took her away. The landlord decided she would pay with her body if she couldn't with money. Raith tried to stop them but he was only 13. He got beat up and kicked aside. After he had regained consiousness the men had already taken his sister. He cried for a good 13 minutes before he decided on what he would do. Their father kept a sword in a special case in the basement of their house. The sword looked quite expensive, but their father refused to part with it. Raith thought for a second that he could sell the sword and get his sister back. But then again, the other debt collecters would also come, and the sword wouldn't be enough to pay them too. He would also be showing that he had submitted to the landlord. That he had been defeated if he did that. Raith instead took the sword and went to where he remembered the landlord living. He was quite a wealthy man. There were guards all around his house.
Once he got there he found the damned lech trying to strip his sister, only to be interrupted by a boy with a bloodcovered katana. Raith used his rage to fuel his power. He had killed all of the landlord's hired guards and was now about to do the same to him. As he raised his blade to strike the man, his sister moved in front of him. Raith nearly went insane when she told him to put the sword down. She said that she was going to marry the landlord and that with his help, they could pay back all of their father's debts. Raith's eyes dialated and he smacked his sister, sending her across the room. She fell unconsious, and there was now no one to keep Raith from killing the landlord. He pleaded for forgiveness, and bowed his head, but Raith wouldn't listen. In a last desperate attempt the landlord took a knife out from underneath his left boot and jammed it into Raith's leg. He screamed out in pain, falling backward and dropping the sword. The landlord acted quickly and snatched the katana, but Raith had already fought against the pain and held the land owner's bloody knife to his throat. Before he could say anything, Raith slit it while thinking that he should have dragged his death out longer. This was a large event that made Raith how he is today.
He then slowely carried his sister all the way to their parent's graves. He hated his father for putting them in this situation, but he knew that his sister still loved him. He also felt guilty that he was the cause of his mother's death. "Human." , a voice called out to him from behind. Raith turned to see a terrifying wolf spirit standing before him. Although she certainly appeared fierce, he also couldn't help but notice her beautiful white coat. And the exuberant flames that cascaded all around her body. The only thing he found strange was the ram head the hung that at the end of her tail. When Raith didn't respond, she jumped at him pinning his arms to the ground. He shivered with fear as the elegant, yet frightening beast peered down at him. "You are not the same as the other humans I have seen. That is proven by the mere fact that you can see me. You... appear to have some strange powers of your own." She said to him, with a tone of interest. "My name is Cartianna. You will make a contract with me. I have heard of a place where humans like you are found around every corner. You and I will search for it. If your abilities don't suffice then I will find a new master there. Now what is your name?" The wolf spirit asked him. Raith had finally come to his senses. "M-...My name i-is Raith. R-Raith Kaleheister." He replied. "Well Raith Kaleheister. You are now my new master. After the contract is done, I will be able to dispell it at any time. However, if you become strong enough, you will have complete control over our contract." She explained, letting him sit up. "What about my sister? What will happen to her?" He asked before the wolf spirit bit his right arm. "Ah! What the hell was that for?!" He protested. "That was contract. That bite mark will not go away until our contract is broken. As for this girl, I do believe the place we are searching for provides a wealthy pay. You could send money to her, as well as letters." She then turned and began walking off.
"Wait!" Raith called out to her, as he got up to follow her. He noticed that his leg didn't hurt anymore. In fact, it stopped hurting as soon as Cartianna bit him. "I have healed your wounds and nummed the pain." The wolf said to him, before she continued walking off. Before Raith followed her, he went back and took the katana he also managed to carry with him. He raised it high and drove it into his father's grave. "You don't deserve any respect. I hope you're happy with what you did to us, you useless father." Raith finally said before chasing after Cartianna.
Later on Raith decided since he was Cartianna's master, he should be able to name her. She didn't object, since she revealed that she once had another master who had given her, her current name. He decided to name her Bozu, although it sounded odd to her. A few months after joining the witch hunters, Raith was able to send his sister enough money to pay off their debts. It was also revealed that his mother was a witch who escaped from the WH in the past. His sister was only a half-sister, so she didn't aquire the same powers he did. The murder of their landlord remained a mystery, and no one ever really looked into it again. He has killed over 22 witches, and captured 38 to bring back to headquarters. Renowned for his skills, he was made the new 2nd in command after the previous leader's dissapearence.

Short Bio for Bozu: Bozu was originally a wolf who had been hunting the same ram for 3 weeks. Each attempt failed, and she was forced to kill off another member of the herd instead. She had no pack, and hunted alone. One day, she finally managed to kill the great ram by ripping its throat. However, her victory was shortlived, as she succumbed to a wound it had inflicted, when it stomped down on her ribcage. The bones jammed into a couple of vital organs, including her heart and she died. Afterward's her spirit and the ram's became one, but her mind was the dominant one and she took over the entity they have become.

Yhu awoke with a gasp. He felt something pulsating underneath his jacket. It was the badge that he had gotten from WH. He had hung it around his neck with a red ribbon he had come across at some point in time. Yhu wondered if this meant the Witch Hunters needed assistance. He threw off his covers, grabbed his sword, and darted for the main entrance of his cave. After he reached it, he pushed the large boulder out of the way with ease, using his large metalic arm. He didn't waste time resealing it, as he rushed out into the open snow.

Since Yhu didn't have the badge for long, he didn't know that he could use it as a communication device. A loud voice erupted out of nowhere, causing Yhu to tense up.
"Helloooooo! Anyone there? This guy lives in a cave right? Could it be interfering with the signal?" Yhu then noticed that the feminine voice was caming from his badge. He grabbed it, wondering what to say.

"... This is Yhu. Why have you called for me?" He asked the badge while holding it to his mouth. There was no responce. He than decided to push some magical power into the badge and see if that works, and repeated the same thing. The cold frosty air was beginning to numb his already pale-white fingers.

"Oh! There you are. This is Miki. I'm a D-class agent for the northern WH base. I've called you to tell you that we have a mission that we need you to handle for us. Right now, we're searching for someone from our base to escort you. I'm guessing sense you're an A-class it will either be our S-class member or a senior A-class member. We still haven't found anyone yet. Would you like us to send transport for you?"
The girl asked him, although he did not fully understand. "...No thankyou. I will walk there on my own." Yhu responded, dropping the badge and making his way towards the base at a slower pace. 'This is all very strange. It will take some time to get used to being around other people... Or at least people.' Yhu thought to himself, staring down his manefestation of an arm.

He couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if he hadn't decided to help the WH when their ranks started fighting against each other. He probably would have remained simply living in his cave only eating off the fish he catches in his private fishing hole.

He didn't see what the use of having money would be, if people tried to kill you when you're simply trying to buy a loaf of bread. He decided eating nice meals was a reservation for the living, which he wasen't really much of anymore. As far as Yhu was concerned, he was already dead.

Once Yhu made it to the base, he was met at the front door by a B-class member who's name he never learned. He escorted him to the main office where most of the D-ranks were working diligantly, hoping to rise through the ranks one day.

Hi there! You must be Yhu. A small girl who seemed too young to be here walked up to him. She looked to be about 12 and had long brown hair that fell to her knee's. She wore red wire-rimmed glasses, and an extra-small WH woman's uniform.
I am Miki. The person you were talking to earlier. Wow. You really do have a strange looking arm, don't you? I was only recruited 2 weeks ago, so I wasn't there for the big rebellion. Anyway, you should come wait in here until we find you a partner for your mission." Miki stated, while opening a door that led to a waiting area-type room.
Yhu retained his deadpan expression the entire time, and went inside without question and sat himself down in a chair. He noticed a folded uniform next to him on a sidetable. 'Is this meant for me?' Yhu thought staring at the uniform in wonder.

Raith sighed as he made his way slowely and intimidatingly over to the D-class agent. "Wrong. Wrong! Don't just swing your arms! Put your whole body into it. If you get it wrong this time, I'll cut out your left kidney." He threatened, which only made the D-rank even more nervous. He dropped the sword and almost stabbed himself in the foot, because of the pressure. "Idiot! Make that both your kidney's!"
"No! Please! I'm sorry!" The young agent ran off, probably in tears.

"This is why I hate training noobies. The D-ranks will never get stronger than they already are, its pointless." Raith sighed to himself.
"Well then maybe you shouldn't be so rough with them." Bozu said in a lecturing tone, as she hopped down from the pile of sleeping mats she was sitting on.
"Why do we even need those things? Its not like were going camping." He refered to the sleeping mats.
"Well, since there aren't that many people who live here, the only other place to sleep are training rooms. And I'm pretty sure you wouldn't want to sleep on just the floor would you?" She commented back.

"Whatever. Lets just check up on the Boss. Lord knows what he's doing." Raith stated, avoiding the question.
"You're a real hard shell, huh?" Bozu asked following him.
"We've been working together for 3 years, and you've just now noticed?" Raith replied as he walked over to Vincent's office. Once he reached it, he kicked it as hard as he could, causing a crack or two to pretrude their way through the fine wood. "Hey Vincent! I'm coming in. I want to have a talk with you about why I've been stuck training damn noobies for the past few days. They're all spineless."

Raith opened the door, only to find that Vincent wasn't there. "Damn it. Where did that bastard go this time?" He hissed under his breath.
"Maybe he's trying to avoid you. I don't know what he was thinking choosing someone like you to be 2nd in command." She giggled.
"And it'll only be a matter of time before he kicks the bucket. Then I'll be the new WH leader, and I will make everyone bow before my supreme might. Hehehehehe." Raith chuckled to himself rather evilly.

"H-hey. You're not planning on making this place into an empire or something, are you?" Bozu asked him worriedly, a little scared by his sudden mood change. Although, she should be used to it by now.
There was a sudden akward pause as she asked the question. After a little while Raith started walking in a random direction, once again dodging the question. "Lets just find the damned boss already." He mumbled.
"Hey. Wait a minute!" Bozu followed after him. 'We're all going to die if he becomes the leader.' Bozu thought to herself as she followed him.

Soon enough, Raith and Bozu had wondered off to the D-class division of the main base. "Hey you! Tell me where Vincent is!" Raith walked over to a random D-class, and grabbed her uniform collar.
"I-I'm sorry, but I don't know where the chief is. Please believe me Mr. Kaleheister." The young lady mumbled timidly, as she averted her eyes. She appeared to be several years older than Raith. "Hey...Whats your name?" Raith asked her intimidatingly.

"M-My name is Lisa, sir. Ranked #17 in the Main Base D-class division." Lisa slowly began looking in Raith's direction, only to find him giving her a death glare. "I don't believe you! If you don't look me in the eye from the start it means you're lying, now where is Vincent?!" Raith already knew that Lisa was telling the truth, but he wanted to freak her out a little. "I already told you! I don't know where he is!" Lisa exclaimed, on the brink of tears.

"Quit being an asshole, Raith!" Bozu exclaimed, giving Raith a hard smack on the back of his head. "If you want to find Vincent so badly, then picking on lower ranks will only waste time. I'm very sorry for his behavior. Please just forget this happened." She lectured him, then apologized, while dragging Raith away from Lisa. She looked like she was about to pass out when they left.

"Hey! That hurt, you bitch! And what happened to calling me master?" Raith protested, smacking her hand away from his arm.
"Well you were asking for it, you idiot. Always harrassing our members isn't going to help keep them around. Ever since the rebellion, we need as many members as we can get. We even had to pull some agents from the other bases here! I bet by the end of this week most of the reasons why they quit will be because of you. And I won't call you master, when you're acting like a little bully."
"If they can't handle a few little death threats or violence, then they'll die in no time flat. I'm teaching them that this job isn't something to fuck around about."
"More like, you're having fun off of their expense."

"Hold on! The chief is in here!" A male D-class who overheard Raith's little interrogation called out to them. Raith made his way back into the D-rank division, pushing the man out of his way. The man didn't say anything purely, because of Raith's position and power. He searched the entire area for Vincent, only to catch a glimpse of his albino hair passing through another exit. He powerwalked through the room, bumping several people on the way, which Bozu had to apologize for. By the time he had caught up with him, Vincent was in the base courtyard. "Vincent! I want to know why I've been stuck with training the noobies. I didn't become 2nd in command for this. Make some of the lower-ranked B-class agents do it." He walked over to the man angrily, making sure not to curse in Vincent's presense, seeing as he is more powerful than him.
"Hey Boss! How are you doing today?" Bozu came out from behind Raith and stood next to him to greet their superior.

Raith lost his irritated expression and immideatly broke out into an all out laugh. "Ahahahaha! Lovely? I've never seen a creature more hideous in my life." This automatically triggered Bozu slamming her fist into his gut, causing him to keel over for a few seconds.

"Who's the most hideous creature you've seen in your life, again?" Bozu looked down on him, practically with death intent.
"Hmph! I remember you being awestruck when you first saw me. If you apologize now, then I might forgive you." She stated taking the spot next to Vincent in Raith's place.
"Of course, I'd much rather have made a contract with you instead, Boss. I'm sure you would have appreciated me alot more than this sorry excuse for a human being. You're way more social than he could ever be." Bozu said, taunting Raith as well as buttering up Vincent.

"Damn it... I don't give a crap if you forgive me or not. The only reason for that is because you were a wolf at the time. Now you're just an annoying, talkative, pain in my ass..." Raith announced panting a couple of times before getting up on his feet.
"And don't talk about me as if I'm not here, stupid wolf! If you want to be his contract so bad just do it then! I prefer to work alone anyway!" Raith exclaimed almost storming off before he noticed Vincent walking off.

"You really are a useless master." Bozu mumbled to herself, getting up and following Vincent with Raith. As he was talking, she walked up and whispered in Vincent's ear.
"You know, Raith is actually a big softy. I caught him protecting his teamates when he was an A-class. But they never noticed. I think one of them thanked him, but he just blew it off saying that he was just fighting for his own sake." She giggled a little at the thought.
Meanwhile Raith ignored most of Vincent's advice, and thought to himself, 'The more this guy talks, the more I want to cut him down.'

It was until the part where he said that Raith was stuck with these assignments that Raith started to pay attention. "Wait a mi-..." Raith started until he noticed Vincent's serious glare. He cursed to himself silently, as he gave up the protest.
"You don't have to worry about him, Boss. I'll make sure he gets the hang of training our newcomers as soon as possible." Bozu chipped in cheerfully.

"I'd much rather do paperwork. What does it matter if I get along with people as long as they get the message?" Raith asked, grabbing a fairly large stack of papers and a pen from Vincent and began looking them over. Raith is surprisingly good with paperwork, although he dosen't seem very smart as first glance.
"Hey! Quit screwing around with my face!" He protested brushing off Vincent's hands angrily.
"That I can't help with, seeing as I can't really read." Bozu stated meekly. She then joined Vincent by pulling on Raith's cheeks, which he had a harder time of getting away from him.
