|History|
Growing up, Florence Elliot and her three sisters never knew their real parents. They had put her in a foster home in their hometown in Ireland when she was about ten years old and she can't remember a thing about them. But, they grew up to be a part of the Elliot family. A married couple living in New York who weren't lucky enough to be able have their own children. When the sisters were growing up, they were given everything they ever wanted. They had the best education, the clothes, the best of everything. And until Florence turned seventeen, everything was perfect but at this age Rence found herself having feelings for a girl in her advanced English literature class named Isabella Ramos. While she felt it was more than infatuation, she wanted to believe that it was just a phase if nothing else. Especially since she was in a serious relationship with her lovebird of five years, Peter Samuel. They already had their lives planned out to a T. He was going to work while she stayed at home and took care of the kids that they knew they were sooner or later going to have. While it's not what she wanted, she couldn't do anything about it. Her parents and his parents were both from wealthy families who wanted it to stay that way and the young Irish girl didn't want to mess with that picture perfect life her family had planned for her. By the age of twenty Florence was pregnant with their first child, Alana. During the next seven years of their marriage, Florence still felt attracted to women and every time she was around Isabella she couldn't help but want to be with her. Yet, she couldn't bring herself to accept it and seven years later she gave birth to their son, Alec. On the outside their life was perfect. But, on the inside Florence couldn't help but feel like shit that she couldn't return the feelings her husband had for her. But, it wasn't until three years later, two months after their ten year anniversary that Florence told her husband that she wanted a divorce and told him why. At first he didn't believed that she was really leaving him. But, after a while he saw that she was serious and he was furious. He began saying how he would take everything away from her. She didn't believe him whatsoever but, when the court case was done. While she is able to visit her children or have them visit her for a little bit, her ex-husband was given everything. The house, the kids, most of if not all of their money. And the woman was now broken. She needed to get away from everything and everyone. While her family stilled loved her, she felt like she needed to move away from it all. And she did, she moved away to Chicago only to find out that her youngest sister had followed her to Chicago to move in with her to take care of the elder sister. And during this time, the now twenty eight had began to write. And she began to create the character known as Lorelei Queen who late was placed to the main character of the Fly By series. In the beginning, she wanted the beautiful character to be a version of herself. But, after a while she became a lot more.

{Young and Beautiful || Lana Del Rey}
[Verse 1]
I've seen the world
Done it all
Had my cake now
Diamonds, brilliant
And Bel Air now
Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

[Chorus]
Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

[Verse 2]
I've seen the world, lit it up
As my stage now
Channeling angels in the new age now
Hot summer days, rock 'n' roll
The way you play for me at your show
And all the ways I got to know
Your pretty face and electric soul

[Chorus]
Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

[Bridge]
Dear lord, when I get to heaven
Please let me bring my man
When he comes tell me that you'll let him in
Father tell me if you can
Oh that grace, oh that body
Oh that face makes me wanna party
He's my sun, he makes me shine like diamonds

[Chorus]
Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?
Will you still love me when I'm not young and beautiful?[/font]
{A Little Party Killed Nobody | Fergie}
[Verse 1: Fergie]
I ain’t got time for you baby, either you’re mine or you’re not
Make up your mind sweet baby, right here, right now’s all we got

A little party never killed nobody, so we gon’ dance until we drop
A little party never killed nobody, right here, right now’s all we got

Islands, diamonds, trips around the world
Don’t mean a thing if I ain’t your girl

[Hook – Fergie (2x):]
A little party never killed nobody, so we gon’ dance until we drop
A little party never killed nobody, right here, right now’s all we got

[Verse 2: Q-Tip]
All we got, all we got, all we got, all we got
All we got, all we got, all we got, all we got

Glad that you made it, look around
You don’t see one person sitting down
They got drinks in their hands and the room’s a bust
At the end of the night maybe you’ll find love
Fake chit chat ’bout the things they got
And my stout reputation keeping it hot girl
At the party of the year I’m a master plan
If you make me realize I’m your man

[Verse 3: Fergie]
If the people get loud,
Underneath the moonlight
Hotsy-totsy, paparazzi,
Hold it while I take this pic
Speak easy,
Rocking the fellas I’m breezy
Hope you can keep up boys,
'Cause believe me,
I’m the bee's knees

[Bridge (2x):]
It don’t mean a thing if I give you my heart
If you tear it apart, no, uh, uh, ah, oh
It don’t mean a thing if I ain’t in your eyes
Papa that ain’t gonna fly, no, uh, uh, ah, oh

Just one night’s all we got [4x]

What do you think GoonRock?
Are you ready?

[Hook]

The streets were lively, everyone celebrating the new year. All while Florence Elliot was in a corner, trying to understand what her daughter was saying over all the yelling and celebrating. "Happy New Year, baby!"

"Thanks, mom. What are you doing right now?" Her daughter asked from the other side of the line. This was one of the only days her ex-husband were let the children talk to their mother without complaining in the background. Yelling slurs and asking how being alone was like. Which mostly ended with couple calling each other every insult in the book before one of them finally getting tired and annoyed and hanging up on the other. And that's how is has been ever since they first filed for divorce. "I'm just out with some friends and aunt Katie." She said as she looked up to see her 'girlfriend', Isabella dancing to the loud music with the Irishwoman's youngest sister. She just rolled her eyes before returning her attention to her daughter. "Is Isabella there?" The woman just cleared her throat. "Possibly, why?"

"Just wondering. I want meet her the next time I come to visit you." Her daughter was always wondering when she going to be able to visit and meet her mother's significant other. "Well, she wants to meet you too, sweetheart." She felt arms wrap around her neck from the back and when she looked at the small hands, she knew exactly who they belonged to. She turned her head slightly to see Isabella and gave her a small kiss on the lips. "Baby, I should get going but, I'll talk to you later." The thirteen year old sighed in disappointment before answering. "Fine, talk to you later. Tell aunt Katie and Isabella I said hi. Love you."

"Will do, Lana. Love too." She hung up her phone before slipping it in her coat pocket and turning towards the shorter Hispanic woman. "Let's get going, it's getting really packed in here and I'm pretty sure some asshole slapped my ass." Florence looked around for a guy that might have done it before turning her attention back to the woman in front of her and nodding. "Sure, let's get Katie and head somewhere else," She turned her brown eyes to the newly turned twenty-one year old girl who was at the bar ordering her third drink of the night. "Katie!" The younger sister turned her head, looking for her sister before catching the red hair and walking over to her. "What's going on?"

"We're going to head somewhere else. It's getting too packed here." Katie, being the nice girl she was quickly agreed before walking towards the exit with the other two woman. When they exited into the cold Chicago air, all three of the women bundled up their jackets. Katie turned around to look at her older and, pretty much favorite sister. "Where do you guys wanna head." Florence put her arm around Bella as they continued to walk on the cement. "I'm not sure, all I know is that I'm freezing and starving. Maybe we can head to that new bistro not far from here."

"Sounds good to me."

"Me too."

"Okay, its settled. To the bistro we go. Let me call to see it their open right now."

"Please, a lot of restaurants stayed opened this late. It is New Year's after all." Florence just rolled her eyes before letting go of Bella. "Look, I just wanna make sure. So, go. I'll catch up." The two didn't argue with the woman as they began walking towards the direction of the bistro that wasn't too far from where they were. Florence turned her attention to her new sleek black phone. She began to type in the name but, it was then that she ran into a woman that seemed to be on her own but asking another woman a question. "Shit." She said to herself as she picked up her, hopefully not broken phone from the ground. When she turned it around she realized that there was only one crack which was better than what she thought it would be. She put it back in her pocket before looking up towards the woman she bumped into.

"Sorry about that, I didn't see you there..--" Looking up, she saw the face of the woman and automatically thought of the main character of her book. She tried her hardest not to look shocked, she saw somewhat lookalikes all the time. But, this woman was the spitting image of Lorelei. It wasn't until she heard her sister call out for her. "Florence! C'mon, we got a table. And Isabella's bitching about you not being in yet." Katie never really did like the Hispanic woman. Florence cleared her throat. "Alright, I'm coming," She started to walk away from the woman with a small smile on her face. "Sorry about bumping into you." She turned her back towards the brunette and towards her sister. "Did you see that woman?"

"Yea, she's pretty, why?" Katie said as she shrugged. "Well, obviously. But, did she not remind you of Lorelei?"

"From your books? Yea, I guess. Look, that's just a character. Don't even worry about it. Besides, the wicked witch of the West already hates when you talk about her and the last thing I need is her complaining and moaning all night on my birthday." The elder sister nudged her sister softly as they walked inside of the warm space and walked towards their table. As they slid in, Bella put her head on her shoulder as they started to order their food.

Just before Lorelei can get a response out of penguin-girl, who is looking far more confused than Lorelei, who has infinitely more cause to be confused, but likely far more practice hiding such things, she feels the familiar impact of a body against hers. The brunette stumbles forward a bit, a blast of wind greeting her and chilling the girl straight to the bone. The lack of a coat is becoming exceedingly sorely missed, and she would really like to find somewhere with a furnace of some sort. Or somewhere that seems a shade closer to the norm, at least. Lorelei doesn't know what city this is, precisely, but she's quite certain that she's never visited it before. It must be a particularly advanced city, given the crowds and tall buildings. Everything seems larger than in New York, something which she finds hard to believe. How could she not have heard of a city which so greatly surpassed her hometown? All of these thoughts take a backseat, however, with the impact. She hears a voice, familiar and yet foreign, much like this entire place.

"Sorry about that, I didn't see you there," Lorelei turns to meet this strange voice, and is struck by the speaker, not literally, of course. It occurs to her, in a sort of back-of-the-mind way, how attractive red hair can be, framing the face as it does in the case of the person she's facing right now. "Don't w-" Lorelei begins, but is cut off by a person calling out in the distance. Her expression becomes a cross between a scowl and a smile. The young woman highly dislikes being interrupted. And soon, the red haired woman is gone anyway, apologizing a second time before hurrying off after the offending party. Lorelei watches her go for a moment, before turning to find the penguin woman beginning to look increasingly impatient, as well as still somewhat confused.

"There's a bistro just down that way that serves coffee- and it should be warm in there," the woman suggests, pointing in the direction that the redhead had gone. Lorelei certainly has no qualms with this. She thanks the penguin-woman, who leaves before anything else can be said. This merits a raised eyebrow in response, but ultimately the brunette shrugs and heads towards the bistro, mentally recalling how much money she has on her. Quite a bit, in fact- for the alcohol. Well, Yale can't begrudge her just a little bit to buy a coffee, can he? He wouldn't dare- she's the only one getting any work done among the people that he has partnered with, save for Yale himself.

Lorelei enters the Bistro, and sits for a while to wait for a table. Given the time of night, there are a surprising amount of people here. They are dressed similarly to penguin woman, minus the coats. The strangeness of their fashion confuses her, as she notes the commonness of flannel and jeans. In such a large city, styles usually reserved for farmers and the like is strange. Even stranger, she finds upon being seated at a little counter area, is the prices here. Three dollars for a cup of coffee? Ludicrous, Lorelei thinks, accustomed to significantly cheaper prices, certainly.

Still, desire, as it often does with Lorelei, wins out over irritation, and she orders the coffee, as well as an equally overpriced soup and sandwich meal. This entire atmosphere is most overwhelming, so she spends her time, naturally, observing it with the hopes of getting a better grip on her current location. Her eyes seem to be incapable of avoiding snagging on the red haired woman, who is sitting with two others. Another thing that has caught her attention is the large presence of other races in the Bistro. Now, most of the speakeasies where she has worked do have plenty of African American and Eastern European patrons, or at least plenty by the standards of the time, but the diversity she is seeing her is completely unprecedented from her life experiences. Her curiosity continues to swell greatly.

Until the pair made their way around the corner, Florence kept looking back at the girl she had bumped into out of the corner of her eye. She felt Katie nudge her as they continued to walk. "You know, if your littler girlfriend catches you looking at other girls, she's going to bitch out." Florence just chuckled. "She's not my girlfriend, we're just friends. She's knows that, besides I don't need any distractions while I'm writing my new book...or trying to write it anyways." Katie didn't say a word as she shook her head. Isabella was very...possessive especially of what she wanted and saw as her own which included her rather famous and rather wealthy 'girlfriend'. And she wasn't okay with Florence mentioning and more than anything speaking of or looking at other women who she could see as a threat to their relationship. And the woman, Flo couldn't stop looking at, was most definitely a threat and the two sisters, deep down knew that.

"Besides, I'm never going to see that girl again, so what's the big deal?" She asked before opening the door to the bistro for her sister and herself. Isabella waved to show them where their table was before they walked over and sat down. Katie sat on the opposite of the table from the two older women. It didn't take long for a waitress to come over to their table and take their drink order. While Bella and Katie order coffee, Florence order a Cabernet Sauvignon red wine. The women walked away and Bella finished telling her story. "Anyway, I was at work and all of a sudden this guy comes up behind me and..--"

Hearing this story once before, the Irishwoman began to zone out. She started thinking about Lorelei and what was the same and what was different between and the woman she had just seen. Over the time that the book had come out, people would always come up to her or find her online with photos of women who reminded them somewhat of Lorelei. Most of the time they were all the same; a pale, tall woman with flowing brown hair and little curves. But, what she would always tell them is that, in the story if they were to notice, the woman had short brown hair and as she put it 'curves in all the right places'. And the woman she had bumped into matched her to a T. From her height, her hair and eye color, even the way the woman carried herself and dresses matched her image of Lorelei.

"Why are you thinking so much about this? She was a random girl, just get her out of your head." She wasn't pulled from her thoughts until she heard Bella scoff and turn towards the redhead. "What? What'd I do?" She asked as she looked from Katie to a rather irritated Isabella. "Did you even hear what I said?"

Florence cautiously shook her head before seeing the woman sitting next to her roll her eyes. "I was saying how we could got to New York so, I could meet your family. You know, you're sisters, daughter, son, maybe even the asshole of an ex-husband." Flo raised an eyebrow and looked towards Katie for help. Katie put her cup of coffee down before clearing her throat. "Florence doesn't really like going home much anymore."

"Why not? I mean, you told me that they were okay when you came out to them."

"They are, that's not it whatsoever. I just...I just left New York to get away from it all and I feel like it's too soon to go back. I mean, my kids still don't get that unlike before I don't like men anymore and I don't want them to look at me as a freak, or a 'dyke', or whatever else their father's telling them I am for leaving him." Bella scoffed before returning to her coffee and finishing it off. "We'll go soon, okay? I promise, now can we please change the subject, babe?" Bell nodded before excusing herself to go to the restroom.

When she left, Florence looked towards the opening door only to see attractive woman she had bumped into. She quickly turn her gaze back to her sister before speaking. "The longer I look at her the longer I feel like she's Lorelei."

Katie just groaned before getting up before she left the table, Florence softly grabbed her wrist. "What are you doing?"

"I'm going to take to that girl to get her name and possibly her number, if she goes that way for you. Hey, maybe she's into the redhead loud, crazy type." Florence flipped her sister off before seeing her sister go up to the bar and next to the girl. Whether or not Katie was really doing what she said she was going to do, Florence kept her eyes down at her jeans and glass of wine as she waited for either her sister or Isabella to return to the table.
