Leto listened as one of the white wolves warned the others about threatening wolf that he had seen with her before.
"She must be this pack's alpha..." he murmured as he watched the others around her. They all seemed to respect her, just like they had his mother.
Pressing himself into the dirt, he hoped that they wouldn't notice him. However, his attempts were in vain as the alpha she-wolf approached where he was hiding. He felt his little heart pound as he thought back to when a rival wolf killed one of his sisters when she had challenged their mother. Backing away he burrowed himself deeper in the bush, peering up at the snowy wolf coming towards him. She simply sat before the bush and looked in on him. Though he was sure that she couldn't see him her gaze fell through the branches exactly where he was located.

"Don't be scared. I'm not going to hurt you," she cooed down to him.
Her words were kind, just as her eyes. Though hesitantly, he crawled forward just to the edge of the bush and popped his head through the leaves. His tawny ears flopped as he looked up at her.
"...Do you...do you know where...where my daddy is...?"

After hearing Dianga speak Daciana walked over to her little corner by the bushes and laid down. With lack of sleep Daciana knew she was no good to the pack if she wasn't alert and awake so she decided to take a short rest. The she-wolf lowered her head to the ground and watched the Alpha talking to a ..bush? No that's not right She thought as she stared at her curiously, raising her head and tilting it a slightly. For some reason Daciana couldn't stay still even though she was tired.

She stood up shaking out the dirt from her fur as the sun shined down on her coal black fur making her golden tips glisten in the sun. Daciana stretched out yawning before making her way over to the Alpha wondering what she was up to. The She-wolf didn't really like bothering the Alpha but she was bored and what she was doing looked so much better than laying around.

Dianga waited for a reply, looking around to make sure no one could just scare the pup. She was patient with these kind of things, she knew pups could be scared of strangers from time to time. But she didn't want to leave him alone. Not with Death around. She looked to her side to see Daciana joining them. She smiled, then concentrated back on the bush as she saw a head pop out. Her smile was warm and motherly.

''Your father? No, I don't think I have seen him. But if you want, I can help you search or you can stay with me until he comes for you,'' she suggested. Dianga wasn't sure who the pups father was and wondered if his pack might have left him. Packs sometimes left pups, or while on the hurt got hurt and didn't return. She now wondered what had happened. She looked back down at the little pup.

Leto watched as another wolf approached her, this one dark with crimson eyes. He quickly pulled his head back into the bush, trembling with fear. It was evident that this pack was much different than his pack at home.
The white wolf spoke to him in an assuring tone, "''Your father? No, I don't think I have seen him. But if you want, I can help you search or you can stay with me until he comes for you,''

Peeking his head back out he peered from the dark wolf to the white wolf, and back to the dark wolf. He was unsure, he would surely die if he stayed out in this forest alone, but Thor had told him to wait. If he went with this pack, his own may never find him again.

"Are you sure...? His name s Thor...and my mother's name is Athena... I was only asleep in the cave for a night...where could they have gone?"

With his head hung low he walked slowly out of the bush and sat in the mud. With blood on his face and paws, and mud caked onto his fur he was feeling quite low. Looking back up at the two he sighed, " "I'll come with you...but I have to keep looking for them...my mother will be so worried..."

Dacian smiled warmly at the cub lowering her head to him. "Did I scare you little one? I'm sorry I didn't mean to" She would say in a gentle tone. The She-wolf would then lean her head closer to the cub and nuzzle him hesitanly but gently trying to let him know that she meant no harm. She would then look over to Dianga raising her head back up. "He should get cleaned up, I will take him to the stream so he can do so.. that is if you approve."

Daciana met her Alpha's eyes her ears perked up then looked back down at the little cub. " I shall protect him, so no need to worry Dianga." She spoke softly so she didn't frighten the cub but she also spoke stern with confidence in her voice.

Kigiinheart

Kigiinheart had yawned. Same old, same old. Packs bands together to protect each other from a threat. The gray she-wolf yawned, blinking her eyes lazily, feigning that of a relaxed wolf when she was really on high alert. For her, an outsider, Packs were unpredictable and dangerous. She wasn't like the other wolves; social and loving toward pack members. Kigiin was what her name implied, a loner. A sudden pang went through her as she remembered a saying in her home pack: The strength of the Pack is the Wolf, and the power of the Wolf is the Pack. Kigiin licked her chops as she got to her paws, and walked away from the strange wolf pack. As she felt the distance between herself and the pack growing she let a few emotions play out on her face. The first to hit was a sudden pained expression of loneliness, the second a look of such savageness that she had snarled at nothing. Get a hold of yourself. Kigiin thought to herself before relaxing her muscles and snapping her jaws shut, her face and movements, empty of life.

The gray she-wolf was great at being empty of emotion, but no matter how hard she tried. Rage, and anger were always able to leak out of the safe she hid her feelings in. Liquid like water, the Rage tainted her, and made her unpredictable at the moment. Had anyone followed her, she would snap. The silent wolf kept moving, her eyes closed as she let her paws lead her.

Dianga watched as the pup pulled his head back. She lowered her head slightly to the pup, keeping her expression soft and caring. This pup would die if he would be left alone in the forest and she didn't want the pup to die. She'd seen enough deaths already, and she hated it to see another one die. She smiled as the pup came forward but looked worried. She didn't want to tell him that his pack might be dead or might have left him. ''Don't worry, we'll start searching for them tomorrow.''

She looked at Daciana and nodded. ''If he's fine with going with you, I'm fine with it too.'' She looked down at the little pup and smiled. ''Do you want to go with her?''

The dark wolf looked down at him with kind eyes, eyes that reminded him of his mothers. Leaning down she nuzzled him softly, she smelled good.
"Did I scare you little one? I'm sorry I didn't mean to"
His fear began to subside as he interacted with these wolves. They seemed different than others, more accepting of new wolves than her own pack.
The alpha responded to him kindly, "'Don't worry, we'll start searching for them tomorrow.''

It had been a long day so far, even though it had just began. His feet were sore and raw from the strange terrain, and he was cold from the snow. It was strange, it was warm and sunny yesterday, but today it was so very cold. Though he had devoured those chicks, he was still quite hungry as well. All he wanted was to clean up and eat. As if the dark wolf read his mind she looked over at her alpha , "He should get cleaned up, I will take him to the stream so he can do so.. that is if you approve... I shall protect him, so no need to worry Dianga."

For the first time in almost two days he felt safe, comfortable. Looking up at the two he smiled, letting his tounge flop out of his mouth as he nuzzled the alpha's leg first and then the darker wolf.
"That would be nice," he said as he looked up at the two, "My name is Leto by the way...thank you for helping me."

Daciana smiled an nuzzled him once more softly. " Nice to meet you Leto, I'm Daciana." The coal colored wolf said as she turned towards the direction of the stream. " Now come on young one lets get you cleaned up." Daciana would start walking, her tail wagging softly an her head held up high as she navigated between the trees. She looked back occasionally to check on little Leto making sure he was close behind.

When they got to the stream Daciana sniffed the air as she caught no scent of danger and let the pup pass. "Here, clean up and I'll get you something to eat." Daciana stalked away following small fresh prints of a small jackalope. She trotted sniffing the air frequently the scent of the rabbit getting stronger and stronger. She finally found the hole in the side of the tree with small antlers pointed at her and beady eyes staring at her. It was ready to attack and so was Daciana. She launched forward faking and jumping out the way right when the rabbit jumped at her. She quickly swiped at it gashing the jackalopes back open, delivering a fatal blow. She then picked it up in between her teeth walking back over to Leto setting the decent sized animal in front of him.

Daciana's nudge was comforting, and he followed her confidently. She reminded him of his mother quite a bit. As they navigated to the stream a soft dusting of snow covered the ground, which eased his aching paws. Daciana left big paw prints behind her, and occasionally he would hop from print to print, pretending he was a big wolf too. It was pleasant having a moment of innocence back. When she looked back at him he gave her a big goofy grin, with his tongue hanging out of his mouth on one side. Though he missed his family dearly, he was comforted knowing that these wolves were friends, and willing to help him with his search.

"Here, clean up and I'll get you something to eat."
Okay, he said as he made his way down to the edge of the water, dipping a paw in. It was cold, but nothing he couldn't handle. With a lunge he leaped into the water, splashing and rolling about in the shallow bank. Giggling he stuck his face under water and shook violently, staining it red with the blood of the chicks he had eaten earlier. Not long passed before he was all cleaned up and he saw a strange looking animal. It looked like a mouse, but it was swimming in the water. Crouching he lowered his body into the water like an alligator, leaving only his snout above to breath. As the small mammal passed he pounced, at first missing. Splashing behind it he caught up with the creature with sheer speed, but lacking clearly in grace and form. The mouse hung from his mouth as Daciana returned with her kill.

As she apprached and dropped the rabbit looking animal in front of him he grinned, trotting over to her and dropping the dead mouse at her feet.
I caught something for you too...though it's not as big..." Peering over at the rabbit his stomach started to growl, Do you want to share?

Dianga watched the pair go off and smiled. She stretched and looked around, the day was approaching after noon already and they had just started. But for now, everything seemed peaceful and fine, Death seemed to be no where, for now. She sighed and went to the borders again to continue marking them. Once done, she caught a rabbit and brought it back to the camp where she ate it quietly.

Saber

Saber watched the lone she-wolf from a distance. He didn't remember when he began to stalk the stranger, but he found himself closing in on her, quick to leap right in the middle of her path. He peered straight into her eyes and felt a strange fear coil tightly in the pit of his stomach. He knew he was afraid and tried covering it with faked irritation and territoriality. "So... What do we have here? Some stranger waltzing into the pack territory and thinking she's-" He began to chatter about how he should rally some of his pack-mates and chase her out and other supposed threats.

Kigiinheart

Kigiinheart sighed, and began to tune out the stupid wolf standing in front of her. This is what I get for trying to sate my curiosity. Some idiotic wolf blabbering his mouth. Maybe I should kill him or just stand here until my ears begin to bleed... After several minutes of being annoyed by this... puny fly, Kigiin spoke. "Okay, your annoying me and... oh your not even listening." She lunged forward and like a semi truck crashing into a small care she easily knocked him away. Her sudden move was so brutal, that there was no beauty or anything graceful about what she did. Not even when she bit him by the scruff and forcibly smashed his head into the ground.
She held her grip on him, and waited for a sound... But nothing. She let go and looked down at the brute. He was still alive, just not conscious. Kigiinheart stood there and was going to leave but felt that they would mark her as a threat to their pack if they found him here and he woke, spewing lies about her. "Oh, Tor."
Kigginheart growled at the wolf, disgusted by his actions. She began to walk back toward Dianga's den site, when she heard the babbling laughter of moving water. She was going to ignore the place when she heard a voice of a cub. She stopped and began to trot toward the sound. When she arrived at her destination, she found a cub and it's... mother.
From the smell of the mother, they were of Dianga's pack.
Moving toward them and stood several feet away from them. "One of your pack-mates thought it a great idea to try and... intimidate me." The words rolled easily off her tongue. "He wouldn't leave me be so I had to... subdue him. He is unconscious in the middle of a path that way." She pointed with muzzle. "I suggest you bring him back and keep him out of my way or I won't be so easy on him next time." With that, Kigiinheart began to walk through the water, moving toward the other side of it. Thinking the water would help rid herself of the strange brute's scent.
