Introduction

The Roleplay

Thousands of years ago, a great cold seized the earth. It raked the trees clean of their leaves, and sent every earthly creature into a state of numb delirium. The Long Cold had come. Rather than succumb to the elements of an unforgiving nature, the wolves of this era fled their homeland in search for warmth. Led by Fengo, their nomadic leader, they traveled for moons. When their marrows grew weak and the journey seemed almost too unbearable, Fengo witnessed an apparition of an owl gliding across the sky. Trailed by his family, the weary leader followed his instinct and followed the spirit of Hoole to a land now known as "The Beyond."

Now, Fengo's descendants roam their forever home. Ruthlessly. They only accept strong wolves and reject their weak. The deformed, the elderly, and the infirm, are driven out and left to die. Although carnal and ugly, these are the customs that govern everyday wolf life.

Will you survive in a world full of glowering eyes and glistening fangs? Can you summon your marrow and join us?

Roleplaying

1). This is not mature Roleplay. The vast majority of Wolves of the Beyond and Ga'hoole fans are in fact children. So no sexual content, overly gruesome descriptions, and cursing while roleplaying. Cursing is only allowed if you are using foul terms from the books themselves. Like mhuic, moldwarp, urkadamus and so on.

2). No meta-gaming or power playing. If we see any of it, we will give you a warning. If in combat, decide who will win before the fight is finished. If you don't play fair and acknowledge that you cannot be perfect and dodge every move, you will have to be removed from the roleplay. Furthermore, do not attack or fatally wound someone character without their permission. And if you are attacked, you must agree on the severity of the attack with the other opponent. And lastly, you cannot kill
major characters without specifically notifying staff.

3) This will be a semi-literate roleplay. We would like to see four sentences at least, however, to keep things interesting. It will help us build the plot up. Furthermore, you must roleplay in third person.

4). If you cannot remain committed, that's alright. Just notify us when you do leave the roleplay for a while so we don't wonder when you'll respond. Your characters will never be killed, just set off to the side as we push the main plot forward.

5). Remain respectful of one another, regardless of the situation. If you ever encounter trouble, notify our staff, and don't try and solve the issue yourself by mini-modding. Likewise, if you have any questions, you're always welcome to ask them in the OOC thread.

6). These rules are subject to further change, but have fun!

Character Creation

1). For now, all of your characters must be dire wolves. Owls, bears, ravens, and more will be introduced over time as we further establish the world these wolves live in.

2). We will only be focussing on one pack until the roleplay grows in activity and interest. However, hints will be littered throughout roleplay to give players an idea of what to expect. So, ranks will be limited. You cannot choose the obea or chieftain ranking at this time.

3). Outclanners have yellow eyes, much like regular wolves. They will also be smaller and practically feral. However, wolves of the Beyond, which include clan wolves, all have green eyes.

4). All characters must have natural or Gaelic names, with the exception of Irish. Likewise, your last name must also match the name of your specific clan.

5). Only gnaw wolves may have deformities, but visual mutations like melanism or vitiligo are allowed with permission. Just so long as they do not affect the eye color of your wolf. Albinism pink or orange... will be allowed at a later date.

6). It is believed dire wolves live for only a short amount of time due to their sheer size, but in this roleplay, you are allowed to live up to 15 years old. Take advantage of that! Characters like the Fengo and his Sacred Watch may live longer.

7). Although it is a popular habit among this fandom, DO NOT submit canon characters. And don't even try and slip them in during roleplay.
