Tom can often be seen wearing a mismatch of clothing items, pieces of cloth and other materials haphazardly sown together. His long, baggy items of clothing are old, worn, and immensely filthy, and have quite clearly seen their fair share of battles. For more serious (perhaps even dangerous) occasions, he wears animal pelts over his usual outfit, and he paints his face. He typically has long, unwashed hair which falls to his chest, and is often scraped back off his forehead. As well as this he has a fair bit of facial stubble, which always appears neatly trimmed. Notable accessories include a black collar around his neck, adorned with a variety of small metal tags, simply designed iron gauntlets around his wrists, and a thin white scarf draped around his neck.

Born, raised, and relentlessly trained as a warrior, it is no surprise that Tom's body is a painted canvas of scars and odd, unexplained marks. He did not come to be a warrior of renowned skill by avoiding conflict; he tackles it head-on. His most visible scars run across his cheeks and forehead, but he has deep grooves of poorly healed skin across his back, chest, legs, and arms also. He has not yet received any tattoos, mostly out of personal choice and a disliking of the idea. He is currently carrying a kill count (and the marks on his chest to prove it) of thirty men.
