Personality

Crush: Harry-Alice, Henry-Alice
Personality: Harry- Quiet and sweet, he'd never do anything to hurt anyone and would give anything to make anyone happy. However, he's naiive and rather stupid, walking into things that get him into trouble and then having no idea how to get out of them. He's hypersensitive to frustration, often breaking down in tears when he feels useless, but it's hard to get him angry unless Henry is picked on; Henry- Brusque and a bit snobbish (except to Harry), Henry doesn't much care what anyone thinks about him. He's pleased with who he is and knows he can go far. People had always admired his talent at arts and academics, but he never really paid them mind. Whenever he's irritated he tends to lash out and is extremely argumentative.

Dominant Emotion: Harry-Bittersweet happiness, Henry-Boredom
Quirks/Oddities: Arguing with himself, obsession with strawberry ice cream

Average Clothing: Regular T-shirt with a basic design if anything at all in neutral colors, blue jeans, dirty white converse sneakers with "HnH" written on the toes, the 'n' being halfway on both.
Keepsakes/Special Items: A locket with two pictures of the both of the twins. On the outside it has a saying: "A brother's love is never broken, shown by such a simple token. I wear you with me every day so together forever we'll always stay." He has a pair of glasses and lots of photos that he always keeps available to be looked through.

History

Bio: Harry and Henry grew up in NYC with their Mom and Dad, a happy little family. Henry tended to be pretty brusque most of the time, but around Harry he was a softie. He was good in school, art, everything, had his whole life lined up by the time he was 13. Harry, however, was no good at much of anything except making people smile, but he was fine with that. Mom and Dad obviously preffered Henry and tended to leave Harry to his own devices. Every other day after school the twins would stop at an ice cream shop and get strawberry ice cream to eat on the way home. It was Harry's favorite time to just talk to his brother about anything, and Henry felt the same way.

One day, however, after they had bought the ice cream and stepped out of the store, Harry saw a stray cat run across the busy road as a car barrelled around the corner. It was limping severely and he couldn't stand the thought of what would happen next. He ran over and tried to get it out of the road, but fell and twisted his ankle. Henry had gotten to his twin, gotten him out of the way, but once Harry had looked back the car slammed full force into his brother and kept going.

Ever since that day Harry has been broken.
One Greatest Fear: Letting people down, just like he let Henry down
One Greatest Secret: He blames himself for Henry's death
Theme Song: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen

Harry woke up slowly, relishing the softness of the bed, the warmth of the thick covers over him, weighing him down and begging the boy not to wake up. He was happy to oblige. He never really did well in school, anyways, that was Henry's niche in life. Henry was always the smart one, he was the one that always made Mom and Dad happy, which was fine. Harry was happy just sleeping in.

"Hey, Harry, come on! I don't have all day!!" Henry barked, throwing off the covers without any hesitation. The cold floorboards sent a bit of a shock through the boy, but he didn't care. It was a new day filled with learning and school and new experiences. Great day to be alive.

"But I don't want to, Henry," Harry protested, climbing back into the bed as the sun warmed the room seemingly in a war between browns and blues. Different objects clashed with their colors and styles, like two warring factions of an army, but at the same time they worked together in the same room. It took a bit of getting used to, but after his time here Harry had gotten used to it. Worming his way back under the quilts, Henry threw them off again and stood. "No, I'm ready to go to class, now what are we going to wear today?"

"Covers and pajamas," Harry whined, fighting to get back into bed, but Henry held him back.

"No, we're going to class!"

"But we ALWAYS go to class! One day off, just one? Please?"

"We have a test in Bio today!"

"YOU have a test in Bio today, I'm sleeping!"

Finally Henry became fed up with his brother and tossed him deep into the back of his mind. Harry could be whiny sometimes (most times, as it was with siblings) but he loved him. Always had and always would. Within minutes the boy was dressed in a simple white t-shirt, blue jeans, and black converse with clean white laces.

That's when Harry took control again and leapt into bed, locking himself to the matress the best he could. "Sleeping," he growled. With a sigh, Henry acquiesced for the time being.

Eventually, Harry fell asleep and contentedly receded into his subconscious. Henry, however, never fell asleep, only waited for his brother to be happy again. Slowly, so as to not wake him up, the boy stood and picked up his backpack, creeping out the door with Harry contentedly snoozing in the back of his mind. Henry threw the backpack on quickly, a deep blue denim that was years old from before they came to academy. A tag was sewn on that read "Harry" but below it in fine, orderly writing in black sharpie "and Henry." Harry was so desperate to include his brother when they moved here, it was nice of him, really. Granted, everything Harry did was sweet. Stowing the smile that tugged at the edge of their lips, Henry closed and locked his door to make his way to class.

Halfway there he turned a corner and saw someone he'd never seen before, panting with a look of total shock on her face. She looked like she was in bad shape. Her bags were everywhe-- ah, bags. New kid. Honestly he didn't know why she was so scared unless she'd met one of the other inhabitants already. Harry began to swim out of his slumber and saw her, too. Shoving Henry aside, he ran over and began to scoop up her things. "Oh, are you alright?! Are you hurt? Here, let me get this for you!" He grinned up at her sweetly and began to put her things back in order while she caught her breath. Henry rolled his eyes but let his twin take over.

Out of nowhere, another body materialized, scaring her shitless. Valerie jumped almost a foot in the air, letting out a squeak in surprise. She flattened herself against the wall, not really knowing what to expect form this one. The last person she met had a twitch and sang creepy versions of nursery rhymes. She stared at him, studying him, before slowly relaxing and moving away from the wall. She straightened her sundress and fixed her blue sandals, toying uncertainly with one of the two lockets around her neck. Her mouth opened and closed a few times without a sound, she cleared her throat finally, then was able to speak.

"Ah, no, I'm not hurt," she said slowly, squirming a little under his gaze. "There's really no need for you to do that. It's quite alright," she said, reaching out as if to take them from him. "You're a really hyper guy, aren't you?" she breathed out, shaking her head and rubbing her temples, already getting a headache from everything that had been happening so far that day. "The first person I meet here tweaks out and sings creepy version of nursery rhymes that I'll never be able to here again, and the second person I meet is sweet. This place is giving me a headache ..." she muttered, shaking her head again.

She let out a sigh of a breath and lowered her hands, grabbing her backpack and slinging it over her shoulder. "Can you help me find the Administration's Office? My other belongings were delivered here last week, but I still need to find out where my dormitory is and get a lay of the land, you know, find out where everything is, all my classes ... It would be really nice if you could show me the way. I'm Al-Valerie; call me Valerie," she said with a smile at him. She couldn't help but wonder if there was something wrong with him, also. He seemed harmless enough, but there was still something a little off about him. She just couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Harry grinned and giggled self-consciously. "Sorry, we didn't mean to scare you, I just like to help people, I can't help it." He stood and handed her her things with a tilt of his head and a shrug as a child might. "I'm Harry, Henry's being moody right now, and sure! It's really close to here, just down the hall! I couldn't find it for a week after I came here, this place is so massive and sprawls everywhere." He offered to carry her suitcase and pointed down the hall, starting off while walking backwards so they could still talk. "You probably met Marchy, he's... not exactly all there, but most people here aren't. There's a few that aren't so bad, though." He grinned again and shrugged dismissively. "What's your name? I'm Harry--oop, wait, I already said that, sorry!" He laughed softly and smiled a bit softer, cheeks rising cheerily as he led her to the A.O.

Henry just watched. Might as well let Harry have his fun for now. Class wasn't for at least an hour and he had done well on his homework lately. Jeez, sometimes they were a mystery...

She managed an extremely uncertain smile. We? Henry? Harry? Despite her obvious confusion, she joined him in the walk, listening to him rattle on about the school and the people in it, and when he made his way back around to asking her her name, her uncertainty about this school only spiked. Half-convinced that everyone at this school was insane just from the two people she had met so far, she sighed and adjusted her bag, having allowed Henry, or Harry, or whoever he was, to carry her suitcase.

There isn't a single sane person here, is there?

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Harry," she scrambled, flushing a little and looking a bit afraid that he would grow angry since she had more then likely mixed him up with whoever Henry was. When she felt a slight breeze behind her, she froze, then slowly turned, almost closing her eyes with the fear that began to build inside of her. Oh God, who now?

What she was met with was a boy holding up a notepad. When he lowered then raised it again, she cast a glance at him then read the note. Not really understanding why he was communicating with her through writing, but not questioning it due to her not knowing if he had a medical condition or not.

"It's really nice to meet you, Skyler. I'm Alice Valerie Callinder, but I'd prefer for you to call me Valerie," she said with a smile, taking his hand in hers and shaking it warmly. She then turned back to Harry, if that was who he was. "Now, back to the Administration's Office ..." she trailed off, then looked back at Skyler, offering him another smile. "This loon here is taking me to the Administration's Office. Would you like to tag along?" she offered, picking her bag back up.

Giving one last look at Ana in the tree, Marchy's eye twitched then he turned to see a familiar face or two. "Why, 'ello Mr. Cat-ee-pillor." Marchy said with a big cheeky smile, eyes wide, and twitching and ticking to his ever excitement. He heard what Mr. Cat-ee-pillor said, but didn't understand a thing. He watched as Hatta jumped down in front of Queen De Hearts and Marchy almost fell over laughing. Hatta was probably one of Marchy's favorite people in Wonderland for his happiness. Falling down clumsily, Marchy was on the ground like Mr. Cat-ee-pillor and Chess. "Oh, and a merry hello to you, Chessie." Marchy said, cheeky smile still on his face with wide eyes.

Then Marchy heard Chess starting to sing. His head tilted slightly, eye slightly twitching. Then, for the first time in awhile, he actually calmed down. Laying on his back on the ground with a small, normal smile on his face and eyes not so wide watching the white clouds passing through the blue sky. Someone singing was one of the only things to make Marchy this calm, well that and a half cup of tea with butter of course. Huhm…the tic's have stopped. On that note, once everyone was back to talking and-or arguing, Marchy's leg did the worst tic he had ever experienced, looking as if his leg was having a slight seizure of its own.

At that, Marchy shot off the ground like an excited child. His cheeky smile was back with the return of his wide eyes. "I've got an excellent idea, why don't we all sit down for a spot of tea?" One of the things Marchy almost always brings up in almost every conversation is tea. Why? Nobody knows. It's just one of the many things he seems to be obsessed with, that, his pocket watch, half cups of tea, and of course a stick of butter. Every tea party on whomever's un-birthday it's to be, Marchy will pull out his old pocket watch. One of the hands on the old, broken watch would move, like the tic a dead animal will have before its dies. Marchy call the thing a MAD WATCH! and take a whole stick of butter and a small mallet, smashing the butter on the poor watch then dipping in into a cup of tea. According to Marchy, Everything mad need their daily tea or you shall become mad as a march hair.

Marchy than ran inside the school, not waiting for anyone to comment on his statement of having a cup of tea for the lot of them. He went straight to where they kept the tea cups and tea, grabbing a cup for everyone, plus a few extra, and the kettle that had already been making fresh tea. As he carried everything in his arms, he walked past the new girl, the Tweedles, and Sky. "We're all having a spot of tea, if you would like to join us after you've gotten done what you've got to get done." Marchy said, a wide cheeky smile on his face and wide eyes. His tic seemed to be gone for the time being, so in all he looked like a child mostly. A very hyper skatterbrained child. Without even a mere hello or goodbye, Marchy was back outside by the others handing everyone a tea cup and with fresh tea, the tea was in the cup of course. He then sat himself down on the ground with crossed legs. The old pocket watch sitting on his thigh and a stick of better on a small saucer. He had the kettle, the creamer, and the sugar sitting on a silver tray i front of him and he sat there, drinking his tea, ticking slightly, and humming "Twinkle twinkle little star." in his head, changing the words of course.

Harry smiled luminously at Skyler after reading his note. "Hey, Skyler! I'm doing great! Henry's being a bit grumpy though, thanks for asking! What about you?" He returned the bow and nearly dropped Al-Valerie's suitcase. With a quick catch he stood back up, listening to the new girl talk to Skyler. Both Harry and Henry liked Skyler, he was quiet and good company, both for the one who liked to talk and the one who liked silence. He watched as Valerie and the boy shook hands with a pang of sadness and... jealousy? No, that was preposterous. He had his hands full, that was why, not to mention the fact that Al-Valerie was flustered. It was her first day. Yeah! That was it! Smile firmly back in place at the mention of the administrator's office, Harry began to walk backwards again.

Then she called him a loon... why was he a loon? "I'm... I'm just fine..." The smile fell from his face and he stopped short. He wasn't a loon... He was just fine, he and Henry both... A small, puzzled, guilty frown crossed his face as he felt Henry get upset. Quickly shoving him down (he hated doing it and would get hell from him later), he walked again, but a bit slower. Marchy came and went without a hello or goodbye (was he late for something?), but Harry didn't feel much like talking anymore. Mom and Dad had called him a loon after Henry died. Said they never wanted to see him again. "D... Do you still like me? Please don't say you don't want to talk to me anymore..." The vulnerability in his voice was apparent. He wanted people to like them. Henry may not care, but Harry did. He wanted to make people happy...

Valerie smiled at her new companions and turned, as if to start back to the office, which she was positive she could find on her own now that she knew the general direction of it. However, she wasn't ready to leave the comforting presence of the people she now considered her new friends; not with God knows who running amuck in the school. Instead, she paused to wait for them, almost being barreled over by the boy who had succeeded in creeping her out before.

She took a step back instinctively, looking a the boy wearily. She took comfort in the fact that Harry didn't seem too worried about the boy, relaxing a bit as she notice his own ease around the crazy kid. When he was gone, she looked after him, puzzled, but shrugged it off. "Tea sounds great right about now," she said thoughtfully, looking over a Harry as he quietly began to speak.

Valerie frowned and stared at him for a few moments. "Why wouldn't I like you? You're the first person I've actually met here. I'm not about to not like my new friend. Besides, you're sweet," she said, smiling and tilting her head to the side just the right way. "Now how about that tea party?" She asked as they reached the office.

It only took her a few minutes to receive an updated map of the entire campus and the insides of the buildings, along with more paperwork for her to fill out. She left her bags in the office at the Principal's request - odd but she didn't mind - and started in the direction of what she knew was the entrance, due to her new map. "I'm guessing the tea party will be here, correct?" She asked both Skyler and Harry - and Henry, she supposed. "It seems like the most logical location. Shall we head there?" She offered them the choice, holding up the map to point at where she was talking about.

Harry, now in a much better disposition, laughed softly and slid her finger further north to the rose garden. "That's where he was headed, with Marchy and almost anyone in this school logic is probably the least logical thing to depend on." He smiled at her and leaned forward to wink at Skyler on the other side of the new girl. He knew the boy would probably agree, but also knew he probably wouldn't attend the party because of both the Tea and Gardening Clubs' influences. "I'm fine with it. Skyler?" he asked just in case the answer would be different from what he expected. The Clubs tended to be rather touchy around each other, but Harry got along with everyone and Henry ignored everyone. It worked out.

As if on cue, Henry decided it was his turn. Extending his hand, the boy smiled much smaller with more of a bored smirk than anything. "Henry. Nice to see you, I suppose. Harry can be a bit... well, you saw, but just ignore him if you want us to go away." He rubbed at his eyes and waited for his handshake to be accepted before allowing Harry control again.

The boy giggled. "That was Henry, my brother. He's cool once you get to know us. So, tea?"

She smiled and laughed. "Okay, right here then," she laughed, folding up the map. Besides, with at least Harry around, she wouldn't become lost. When a change went over his features and he introduced himself, she immediately had an 'Ah' moment. Instead of responding with something like, 'You're crazy,' or something along those lines, her smiled fell a little bit and she shook his hand.

"It's nice to meet you," she whispered, a faint sheen of tears appearing in her eyes. She managed a small smile at Harry when he returned. "I had a brother. A sister too. She was my twin," she murmured, rubbing her arm and looking at the ground. "My brother and parents died when I was nine. My sister committed suicide only a few months ago," she said quietly, one hand lifting to clasp the necklace with the wedding ring that said William on it. "This was her necklace, and this was my father's wedding ring. It seems like we have something in common, don't we?" She asked sorrowfully, taking in a shallow breath.

In an attempt to rid herself of her depressed mood, she forced herself to brighten and held out her arm to him. "Let's go, I would love to go for some tea. Preferably green with sugar and a side if chocolate cake," she said with a laugh, poking his side. "What's your favorite type of tea and cake?"

Harry smiled sadly and brought out his own locket to show to her. He didn't open it, but just showed her. The engraving on the outside shone brilliantly. He loved those words... With a deep sigh he tucked it back in his shirt. "Henry's grumpy all the time because this isn't his body. It's mine. Well, ours, but I was here first. He didn't have one anymore so I let him use mine." That was the most detail he went into. No one really knew how or why Henry had died, and Al-Valerie and Skyler were now the first to know that much. He was sad to know that they shared that much in common. "Most people don't take their others with them, but Mom and Dad always liked Henry better. It would've been better if I died. They would've been happier." He grinned luminously again, "So we were Harry and Henry! Mom and Dad still didn't like it, but Henry is better here than nowhere."

Henry smirked and scratched the back of their neck. "Suppose you think we're freaks now, right?"

Harry frowned and knitted his brows together, "Henry, that's rude! She said we weren't a loon and that she liked us..." He looked uncertain and turned to her. "Right?"

He forgot the question after she mentioned cake. He jumped up and down and clapped his hands. "I love strawberry cake, but ice cream more. Black tea with sugar and milk is the BEST, but I like green, too!" He began to walk backwards again so he could see their faces while they conversed.

((NOTE: I got lost on who all was at the tea party, so I just tagged everyone XD))

Valerie smiled over at Skyler. "I like vanilla, too. And strawberry," she said, casting a grin in Harry's direction. "Actually, I just like sweets in general. It always astounded my friends how many sweet things I could eat without ending up fat and with cavities. It's just genes, I guess," she shrugged. On impulse, she reached over and grabbed Skyler's arm, then Harry's, and slid her arms through theirs, standing between them.

"I swear I don't bite, so you don't have to be so afraid to get near me. Besides, it's not like I'm chock-full of different diseases," she rolled her eyes as they turned the corner, her keen memory allowing her to remember precisely where they needed to go to reach the Garden.

She tossed a glance at Harry and smiled, remembering his earlier question before she had become distracted. "I don't think you're crazy. You two are just weird, like me," she said with undeniable confidence. She danced out of their arms and ahead of them, throwing her own arms out and twirling in a circle on her toe. "As I always say, embrace your inner weirdness," she laughed, basking in the sunlight she had danced out into, having pushed through the doors to get outside.

She looked over at Skyler and quickly read what he wrote, offering him a smile. "Alright, I guess I'll catch up with you later then," she said with a nod. She then tilted her head back and sighed. "I love the sun, don't you two?" she asked Harry and Henry. "I sure am going to miss it when winter comes around. It's a good thing I love the snow, too," she tacked on thoughtfully.

Turning, Valerie looked ahead of them, and a little ways away from the Academy was what was undoubtedly a green house. "That must be the garden, right?" she asked, already skipping in that direction. Yes, she was weird, but only because she was so happy and said the most random of things, but she wasn't insane. In truth, she was only doing it in an attempt to make Harry and Henry laugh and remain her friends.

She licked her lips. "Hmm, even the thought of tea and sweets is making me parched and hungry, despite the early hour," she said thoughtfully. "Alright, I'm definitely going. Shall we?" she asked, smiling over her shoulder at them. Without really waiting for an answer, she took off in the direction of the garden house, unaware of the insane - and dangerous - people she was about to meet.

She was more then excited to see the garden, for she'd always loved flowers, especially carnations and lilacs, so when she reached the gate enclosing the garden and heard the sound of distant voices, she opened the gate without a second thought and began into the garden.

Valerie's breath caught at the sight of the magnificent garden. Flowers, trees, bushes, anything anyone could imagine, were growing in the garden. lost in her own little world, she didn't realized she had reached the area the tea party was being held at. She snapped from her daydream and silent awe of the garden, freezing in place, her heart jumping into her throat at the sight of the people before her.

They were all obviously insane.

Swallowing her fear and summoning courage she hadn't realized was there, she lifted her hand into the air, just a little, casting a look over her shoulder for the comforting face of someone she knew. She looked back at the people before her.

"Hello," she managed, a bit weakly.

Valerie jumped as a man - and he could be nothing else but a man, an insane one, but definitely man - approached her. She studied him on what was now instinct, not wishing for another heart palpitation. When he introduced himself, she smiled. "We'll, 'Mr. Hatter,'" she said with a grin. "I think I'm going to take I calling you Tarrant, both to annoy you, because I like that name, and because I tend to avoid conforming to other people. So Tarrant," she said, emphasizing his name. "It's a pleasure to me-"

Valerie cut off in a shriek as Harry-Henry appeared behind her, shouting and talking away. She jumped away from him, her heart hammering in her chest. "Crap, Harry! Don't do that!! You scared ten lives outhof me!" She exclaimed. "Goodness, Henry, can you try to keep Harry a little more under control? I don't feel Ike dying early from heart failure," she gasped, leaning against a tree to catch her breath after that scare.

Clearing her throat and blushing a light pink, Valerie turned back to Tarrant. "As I was saying before I was rudely interrupted ... It's a pleasure to meet you, Tarrant. My name is Alice Valerie Callinder, but call me Valerie," she smiled. She then scowled and turned back to Harry. "As for you," she said, pointing a finger at him and looking quite frightening in that moment. "Don't call me that," she pouted, all of her scary disappearing.

She tuned and peered around Tarrant at the table. "Is there green tea and chocolate cake? Oh, and strawberry?" She asked for Harry's sake. With he way that kid acted, he'd burst into tears over the mere fact that she didn't ask if they had the type of cake he wanted. "And vanilla?" She tacked on as she remember Skyler and how his favorite was that. She moved over to the table, only to retreat and scurry behind Harry, her eyes wide and staring, completely locked on Marchy. "That's the creepy kid that was singing weird versions of nursery rhymes," she whispered to him, peaking around his side cautiously. "He scared me even worse than you did just now."

Harry bit back laughter when Al-Val jumped. Their snickers were cut off the best Harry could, tucking his top lip over his lower and looking innocently around. He bobbed back and forth on the balls of his feet as though someone else had laughed and shrugged. "Sorry," he chuckled from his chest, obviously struggling against the laughter. Henry looked at Valerie and rolled his eyes. "I've tried, Valerie. It's no use, don't even bother." He glanced at Tarrant with a stony expression on his face and nodded his stoic greeting before they returned to chuckling and bobbing. Harry put the tip of his tongue between his teeth as he smiled, laughter finally controlled.

They listened while looking at a rosebush behind Al Val and Harry snorted out a laugh again at the "rudely interrupted" bit. Tarrant was either going to murder her or be wildly amused. Knowing him, you never knew him. Harry waved at him again in case the Hatter had missed his earlier greeting and was caught off guard at Al Val's severe chastizing. The smile fell from his face and he looked pretty panicked in that moment. He pointed at his chest in question and looked around as if she could be pointing at someone else before looking back at her. His eyebrows were high on his forehead in surprise and confusion as to what he did wrong. The pout put the smile back on his face, however. He laughed once and poked her nose, leaning over to be at her eye level. "Al Val," he prodded. Karma.

Harry was thrilled when she asked about strawberry cake for them, but if they was in the planned attendance it would surely be there. They probably weren't, though, Henry tended to go straight to class so Harry never got to hang out in the mornings. Henry scoffed, "And we're not missing school today, either, Harry," he said aloud to Harry's thoughts.

Harry looked hurt. "But what about Al Val? We still have to show her around! And there's tea, Henry! TEA!"

Henry sighed and massaged the bridge of his nose. "Harry, can I ever take you anywhere?"

"Yep," he grinned, biting his lip again to hold back his laughter. That was when Al Val dashed back behind him in terror. Harry looked back at her with a small grin on his face, but concern in his eyes. Listening to what she explained he nodded. "That's Marchy. He doesn't tend to make much sense, kinda like Henry," he poked, happy to have the final word. Nonetheless, they served as an attentive shield and watched Tarra-- er, the Hatter and Marchy with a satisfied grin on their face.

"Meow, baby."

-

Chelle witnessed the scene before her- the tea tray swinging down onto the Hare's head, his admittedly comedic retaliation and his heated retreat to the tea room. She resisted the urge to burst into laughter, hypothesizing that it would only aggravate the Queen further. Sitting up, she stretched, watching curiously as quite the interesting trio walked onto the scene- Harry, Henry, and a rather delicate seeming young woman.

She watched Andrew get to his feet and approach their fellow students, wondering momentarily if she should get up and greet them as well, but decided against it. She relaxed back onto the ground, stretching out in the sun's warm rays. She closed her eyes, her lips curling into a relaxed smile.

Opening her eyes for a moment, she caught movement in the corner of her eye. Lifting herself up, she turned towards what had caught her eye. To her surprise, it was Sebastian- she would've thought he had been up by now, but she soon shrugged it off. She contemplated whether or not to go and greet him, and decided: Why not?

She strolled over to him, bowing exaggeratedly when she reached him. "Good morning, Your Highness," she snickered, "how is the King this morning?"

Harry gaped his happy agreement at Melody before walking off to her, oblivious to if Alice was still attatched to him or stayed behind. "Yeah! Thanks! Hope you're having a good day so far!" He accepted the tea while waving a return to the other greetings and then looked at the table longingly. No strawberry cake. With a sigh, he smiled again as Tarrant replied to Alice and made his way to the head of the table.

But he hadn't responded to them.

Harry put the cup down halfway through adding sugar. "Hatter?" He sounded hurt, almost as if he were a child. "Hatter, wh... why didn't you say hi to Henry? He rarely says hi to anyone, but you ignored him."

"Harry, it's fine," Henry laughed, scratching the back of his neck. "If Tarrant didn't want to repl--"

"No, Henry, it's not fine!" he exclaimed. "You're worth people's time... You're worth everyone's time, Henry!"

"I'm really not, though, Harry, it's fine..."

Harry shook his head and looked down, struggling to keep it together. The anniversary was days away and people were already forgetting him! "It's not fair," he pouted.

Valerie's head snapped to the side and her eyes shot to Tarrant's as he said her given name. Her eyes became stormy and she stabbed him in the chest with her finger. "Don't call me that," she snapped out, obviously furious. She hated her given name. It wasn't that it was a bad name, it was indeed lovely, but seeing as her parent's named her that and were now dead, and her sister and brother were the only immediate people she grew up with calling her that - even her friends began to call her Valerie when she was little, seeing as they claimed it was really pretty -, she hated the name with a passion. It never brought her any good memories, all of them flashing back to seeing her mother, father, and brother, dying in the accident, and her sister, hanging from the closet in her bedroom.

Shaking the images away and a few tears in her eyes, she pushed around Tarrant. "Don't call me Alice," she murmured, making her way over to the table. It took her the entire walk to the table to calm down enough to really register that Harry was having a bit of a meltdown and flashing back and forth between himself and Henry. Oddly enough, she was already accustomed to his weird bipolar issue and had made her way over to them without a second thought.

Ruffling his brown hair, she smiled down at them. "Don't worry, Harry. I could never forget about Henry. And Henry, you shouldn't worry either. Even if everyone forgot about you, I know Harry wouldn't, and neither would I," said added on, looking down and into their eyes. She nodded then stepped back and cast a look up and down the length of the table. With a shrug, she took a seat between Skyler and Harry/Henry, not too far down from Tarrant.

Still upset with 'The Hatter', she avoided his gaze and instead turned to assess the sweets and tea that were spread out widely across the table. Finally finding some chocolate cake and a small pot of green tea - seeing as it was labeled as such - she gingerly lifted the warm pot and poured herself a glass. She mixed it two spoonfuls of sugar and took a sip, practically purring in delight.

"This is, by far, the most amazing and delicious tea I have ever tasted. My compliment to the chef," she joked, laughing out as she cut off a piece of chocolate cake and set it on her plate. Peering up and down the table, she gasped. "Harry, I found you some cake!" she exclaimed, a bit rudely, but not meaning to be, leaning across the table to pluck it up. It was small and obviously not the most popular choice, but she had found one and she set it before Harry with a smile. "What type of cake does Henry enjoy? Does he have a taste for strawberry also?" she asked.

Suddenly, she turned to Skyler. "Skyler!" she gasped, grabbing his arm. "I completely forgot! Did you find your cake yet?" she asked urgently, casting a look at the table again. "Oh, and did you find your sister?" she wondered, tilting her head a little.

Harry continued to glare at Hatter for a moment until Henry broke through and smiled boredly, but genuinely, at Valerie. "Thank you. It means more to him than me, again, but that's what usually is the case." He sipped at the tea Harry had made with a small smirk. At the sight of strawberry cake, however, his mouth began to water. He swallowed twice and accepted almost reverently. Eyes wide and mouth slightly open, he grinned a bit wider at the new girl. "Thank you," he breathed. Scooping up a knife, he carefully cut the small pastry in half, one for him and one for Harry. Perhaps that would put him in a better mood. He was touchy around this time and it seemed he had just had his first bout of the season. At least Valerie had gotten to see Harry's good side before... Well, not worth worrying over right now. Henry could mourn later.

He ate the half of the cake happily, but politely and quietly, saying nothing at all. He occasionally glanced at Hatter or Valerie, one because the man had upset Harry, and the other because she was pretty spectacular. Harry nodded his gloomy approval before taking over. Even when upset and quiet, energy seemed to come off of him. He didn't glance around, only stared at the table and wished Tarrant had paid attention to Henry.

Harry shuddered at the new arrival's presence. There were only a select few people in this world that Harry didn't like (though he never hated anyone), and Julianna was one of them. She didn't have the right to be as cruel as she was, wouldn't even have a flicker of consideration for anyone but herself, and she seemed to get some sort of kick out of hurting others. With a small, angry grimace on his face carried over from before, they stared her down. "Leave her alone," he mumbled.

Henry rarely had anyone he liked to the point of showing, but he rarely hated. Generally he had an air of apathy about him, but he really did care. Everything just bored him.

Julianna did the same to his nerves as it did to Harry's. Fixing a wide, sacharrine smile over their face, Henry tilted his head innocently and blinked a couple times. "Oh. It seems we are in the presence of royalty!" Sarcasm oozed from his voice as he shook his hands as though nervous. Dropping the facade with a short wink to Valerie he glowered up at her. "Forgive me if I don't grovel at your feet and cower. Leave this one alone or I swear you will never hear the end of it from myself or Harry." Even the thought of Valerie getting hurt churned in their stomachs. The rest of the Gardening Club were perfectly acceptable, but Julianna was not. In any sense. Whatsoever. Reasoning? She aggravated Harry. Anything that aggravated Harry (other than himself) wasn't to be near his brother.

Valerie cast several looks between Harry/Henry and Tarrant. The animosity between the two was almost thick enough to cut through. It was obvious, however, that they didn't hate each other; it was merely a repercussion of Tarrant ignoring Henry. She nudged them with her shoulder. "Oh, stop pouting, Harry," she said, her lips twitching a little in amusement. "I'm sure Tarrant," she said, her voice dripping with irritation, "Didn't mean to ignore Henry. Besides, Henry's too amazing of a guy to be ignored," she added on, poking their arm.

She cut off a piece of her chocolate cake and practically purred with delight as the soft, fluffy food dissolved in her mouth, almost like cotton candy only so much better. "This ... Is the most amazing cake I've ever tasted, in my entire life," she said, taking another bite. She had her fork between her lips when a girl appeared, who seemed only a bit older then she. She couldn't utter a word around her cake. Not that she would have been able to, anyway. As soon as the young woman introduced herself at Julianna, or Queen (really, how conceited could someone become?), Harry/Henry jumped in with sarcastic remarks, laced with what was hatred on Henry's part.

When he warned Julianna to stay away from her, Valerie quirked a brow in surprise. Don't tell me ... She's insane, too, she thought bitterly. Are there no normal people in this school? Just how the Hell did I end up coming here again? Oh, that's right. grandma.

Valerie swallowed her cake and cleared her throat to regain Juliana and Harry'Henry's attentions. She calmly took a sip of her tea, then rose and straightened her dress. She let out a breath and took one in to calm her nerves, before fixing a cool gaze on the three.

"I haven't a clue as to what the animosity between you three occurred from, or was born out of, but in all honesty, I will make my own judgement on people. Harry, Henry, you two can't control who I choose to speak to, become friends with, or in total, choose to associate myself with. And Juliana, I would be grateful if you would please be a bit nicer to these two. They were my first friends here, after all. Also, if I am going to call you anything, it will not be Queen. Don't you think that's a bit conceited of you to think that you're the queen of everything. Honey, I'm terribly sorry to break it to you, but the universe doesn't not revolve around you. It doesn't revolve around anyone. Not even the Earth. I don't see how you managed to gain entry to this academy if you believe that. It was proven by Copernicus that the universe revolves around the Sun, not the Earth. So in all honesty, it is nowhere near circling around you," she said, her gaze slightly icy. "I don't know what you did to make my friend despise you so - for in the short time that I've known him, I've come to realize that he isn't the type of person to just not like people - but if you could be so kind as to apologize to him, then I do believe we can go on with our lives without any more anger and hatred," she said, lowering herself back into her chair. Without revealing the trembling she felt inside of her, she picked up her tea and, in a composed fashion, took a small sip of it.

Julianna opens her mouth to respond to Harry/Henry/Whichever's comment towards her, but only gets in a cursory glance before the new girl goes on a rant that even Julianna views as hypocritical and contradictory on every point. It takes quite a good deal to impress the Queen herself with jumping to conclusions, but this lovely little fresh-faced blonde seems to take the cake right off the batch. Thoroughly surprised by this display, the young woman cannot help but do anything other than burst into laughter at the sheer ridiculousness which she views in the little monologue given by the girl. In fact, she almost considers stealing away a line that she's heard somewhere or another, probably from Chess back when she used to pester Julianna constantly, about everyone being mad here. Oh, your a sharp one, aren't you, deary? Really up on the times, the girl thinks cheerfully as the young woman before her, who still hasn't actually properly introduced herself, apparently skipping over any sort of courtesy before getting to the scolding and nagging of a person whom she has never even been properly acquainted with. Even Julianna would at least give her name before such a scene, if only so that the person subjected to the speech would be able to recall it's giver (or have the slighest idea of who the speaker was, for that point). Julianna's hands are on her hips as she laughs, the sound not at all suiting her personality in its lightness, and it is a few moments before the giggles finally die down and she beams at the girl before her as one would at a child.

"Oh, my darling, you are precious, aren't you? Yes, I do believe that you will fit in right away with this school! I like you already, you know? How fascinating you are, dear. You don't have to call me queen, because I like you. You have this big head, and I do rather like big things. I like people who have spark and determination- it took both to cling onto the word queen for half of a monologue!" Whilst speaking, Julianna has been pouring herself a cup of tea, and takes a sip of it at that moment before continuing, the glitter in her eyes never leaving, both fascinating and dangerous all at once. "Where was I? Oh yes, singing your praises. You really should join the Gardening Club, darling! Stayne and Ana are nice, of course, but it is much more fun to have someone who always contradicts themselves, don't you think? Much more diversity- not going to judge me, but clearly doing so already- I love it! Love it, Love it, Love it! God, I could just eat you up. I'd discuss Italian Astronomers with you any day, sweetie- you are very bright, I suppose? Yes, of course. You must be to come into this school."

Julianna sets her tea down and sighs with pleasure, eyeing the girl before her with curiosity before leaning in and lifting the blonde's chin with her hand to force her, "One flaw, I'm afraid. Why would you ever want to live without anger and hatred? Little dove, they are perhaps the most important emotions in the world! After all, the world will end in fire~" the last part comes out in a sing-song, a sort of final testimony to her insanity by referencing Robert Frost, whose own son having committed suicide while his daughter, Irma, was committed to a mental hospital due to hereditary depression. As if to encompass the world, Julianna moves her hands in a grand, circular gesture that universally means 'all'. "But anyway, duckie, you never gave me your preferred name so that I could mock and reject it. Best be careful, love, or it could be off with your head" she says, serious for a moment before that disappeared with a wink and she began laughing again, mood heightened by the presence of a new person.

Oh, I just adore new people! So. . .new!

Valerie couldn't help the eye roll that she made. What a conceited, arrogant, pompous ninny! She sipped at her tea, barely controlling herself and remaining in her controlled state. Do not grow angry ... Do not become angered ... Do not yell, scream, or shout ... She barely managed to get through Julianna's little lecture without blowing a fuse, but when she finally stopped chattering away in her oddly-annoying yet in a strange way hypnotizing voice, it was more of a relief than it should have been.

She glanced up as a boy sat down near her and began to speak, introducing himself. When he puffed out the small from his cigarette, it traveled across to her and broke away in a circle on her face, causing her to cough and wave her hand before lowering the tea cup she held. "Why who am I? I'm Alice, of course. But I tend to go by the name of Valerie. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Caterpillar," she said, rising to give him a small curtsy. She then lowered herself back into her seat and turned her gaze to settle it on The Hatter.

"As for your earlier statement, I agree that the name Alice is quite lovely, but I despise it so. You would, too, if you meant to you what it means to me," she said, her eyes a bit darker with hidden sorrow. "And I am very happy now, thank you," she said, in an annoyed fashion, before turning to the girl who just randomly sat on the table.

They are all stark raving mad!

Valerie let out a breath and curtsied to the girl before sitting back down, not wanting to shake more hands then she already had today. "It's very nice to meet you, Miss Cheshire. My name is Alice, but please, call me Valerie," she said, offering her a kind smile. When the bell rang, she pushed herself up and stretched, a few joints popping, before smiling at everyone, even the 'Queen'. "Well, since you all have to return to class now, I suppose I will have nothing better to do than unpack my suitcases and then sit around for the rest of the day. That is, if the principal will return my things to me. I haven't a clue as to why he took them in the first place. It isn't like I'm a danger to anyone or myself," she said, obviously puzzled by this. She shrugged. "Oh well, I guess it just can't be helped," she added, finishing off her tea and setting it on the table. She turned from the small party and started in the direction of the gate of the garden, before she paused and looked over her shoulder at Julianna.

"Oh, and I suppose an answer to your earlier question about why I would like to live in a world without hatred and anger is long past due. It's quite simple, actually. Why live with hatred and anger to those around you that you truly do care about when life is so short and should be cherished?" she asked, tilting her head a bit to the side. She then flipped her hair a bit and started from the garden, picking her way carefully through it. Only, she realized too late that she must have made a wrong turn, for she had walked for only a few minutes before realizing she was completely and utterly lost. Again.

She stood in a small circle of bushes with a large apple tree in the center, which she now stood below, casting shadows all around her. The air had gone still and it was quiet, almost too quiet. The shadows seemed to move of their own accord, ominously, for there was no breeze. For no reason at all, she felt her heart leap into her throat, of nothing other then fear. In an attempt to calm herself, she lowered herself onto a bench underneath the tree, bouncing her leg as tears formed in her eyes. For some odd reason, she couldn't control what happened next. One moment, she was sitting there, just a bit afraid, and the next, she was crying.

"Oh, why did I ever have to go an agree to come to this stupid Academy?" she whispered, dropping her face into her hands. Her tears merely soaked into her skin and slipped between her fingers, dripping onto the grass below her. She swallowed back a sob as an old saying from when her mother was alive reentered her mind.

"It's good advice to stay where you are, until someone finds you," she whispered. Only, she added a part. "But who would ever look for me here?" she sniffled a little. Drawing her legs up and tucking her skirts down so that her dress still covered her and she wasn't indecent, she buried her face in her knees. "The people here are mad and I just want to go home. I told grandmother that I wasn't ready to go anywhere, not so soon after Amanda ..." she clutched her sister's locket in her hand, so hard that it left an indent in her palm. Reciting a quote she and her sister had lived by, she said it in a wobbly voice, thick with tears. "Fate made us sisters, but by choice we were best friends .. And you will always, always remain my sister ..."

Harry tried to keep everyone from leaving as the bell rang, but Henry didn't give him much of a chance. Valerie ran off, much to both of their dismay, but Henry had bigger issues. The test in AP Bio. They stood and ran off their own way, slinging the blue backpack over their shoulder again. Henry walked quickly, pretending he didn't care that Harry had made a promise he wouldn't be able to keep. He really did care, especially this close to... well, the date.

Harry wasn't going to have any of it. Grabbing the backpack, he threw it off and started to walk back to where the Garden was. "Nope," he said cheerily, "Made a promise, gonna keep it."

Henry turned and walked back the other direction. "Nope," he mocked, copying Harry's false cheer, "Have a test, gonna take it."

Harry froze as anger made it's way to their features. "Henry," he growled. "Al Val is new here and it's easy to get lost, she's just had the crap scared out of her, twice by us! We owe her that much to make it up and to keep our promise! She said she didn't mind our company, she even said to..." he tried to remember her exact wording, "'Embrace your inner wierdness'"

"Harry, it's my turn to decide something for once!!" Henry screamed, much harsher than he had intended. Instantly he regretted it. All of this morning he'd been grumpy for the mere reason that the date was approaching when Harry had been so brave about it. As if in mockery their voice echoed off of the courtyard walls, screaming back what the older twin had chastized. Demanded. After everything Harry had done for him. Pride did odd things, though. As Harry shrank back into their mind, holdingback mental tears, Henry scooped up the bag and fumed to the classroom. The entire way there and the entire test he worked and thought in silence minus Harry's presence reminding him of his blunder. The train had officially been set in motion.

Once the test was over, Henry took Harry back to their room. They could skip the rest of their classes, no other tests.

The walls came down. Henry never showed any emotion to anyone... except Harry. At this point everyone in this school knew that the Jones's date was coming up. Perhaps Harry's facade had fooled them, helped them to forget, but Henry's outburst probably would have reminded them.

"Harry," he coaxed, picking up his glasses from the mantle. There was a crack spiderwebbed across one frame where they'd slammed into the car after it hit him. "I didn't mean to yell..."

Harry sniffled back into reality and looked at the classes, heart wrenching at the memories. It was too much. He'd hidden the pain too long. Collapsing onto the floor right there, glasses clutched to their chest, Harry broke into helpless, silent sobs. "I'm sorry I killed you, Henry..."

"You didn't," he croaked back, succumbing to his own tears.

"But... B-B..." Words were useless at this point. In two days it was the official three year anniversary of Henry's death.

After around twenty minutes of Henry holding Harry and vice versa, the twins had cried themself out for the time being. Harry sobbed silently as Harry patted them on the back in attempted comfort. Nodding slowly, Harry laughed pitifully and forced a small, heartwrenching smile. "Henry, we have classes and you have Ac Dec today."

Henry shook his head. "You're in no shape to go out."

Harry rolled his eyes and forced himself to stand. "I have a promise to keep and you have our grades to keep up," he laughed unconvincingly. The sad sound was cut off with a couple of suppressed sobs.

The older twin deliberated a moment before realizing it was pointless to try to keep him back. "Fine," he whispered. "But just promise me you won't overexert yourself?"

Harry sniffled and nodded firmly. "Yeah, Henry. I... I love you."

Henry chuckled and hugged them. "I love you, too, brat."

___________________________________________________________________

Five minutes later, Harry stood at the door that had to be Al Val's. There was a taped up nametag and he heard laughter inside. Having failed to check themself in the mirror, the boy had red rimmed eyes and blotchy cheeks, but he hid it well under a seemingly genuine smile. He had learned long ago how to convince people he was fine, that Henry was fine, and that they were able to be liked. The laughter gave him hope and the courage to knock on the door. Apparently she liked her room! That was good! Henry chuckled and shook his head. "Easy, Romeo," he warned, "no one would ever want to go further than friends with us."

Harry giggled sadly. "I know, I'm just happy that she's happy right now. Maybe the move won't be so hard for her after all!"

"Well, sane guys tend to treat new girls like that. But, here at Wonderland Academy, we're anything but sane...then again, any guy who would ignore a girl like you has to be crazier than any of us."

Valerie paused mid-swing and let out a laugh, pointing a finger at him. “You’re acting like any guy should fall in love with me as soon as they meet me. Is there something you’re trying to tell me, Tarrant?” she asked teasingly, before swinging the pillow at him again, having barely enough time to register his warning, "... You better not be doing what I think you're going to do ..."

Whoops, I guess I hit him a bit harder then I meant to … She watched, a bit regretfully, as he flew to the ground. She almpost dropped the pillow as she threw out her hand to catch his arm, missing it by only a few inches, and cringed a little as he hit the floor.

"How can you expect me to accept your apology when you hit me with a pillow again?"

“Now I’m really sorry,” she said, genuinely apologetic. She held out her hand to help him, but frowned at his next words.

"Obviously, you know nothing of foreign diplomacy, Valerie." It was then that he pushed himself up to stand. He took the pillow from her hands, bumped it against her thigh, and then grabbed up his hat. She wiped the frown from his face and gave him a quizzical smile as he began to back away towards the door. "I feel threatened now," he commented teasingly gesturing toward the pillow. "And Mother always told me that I should walk away if I felt threatened..."

He then chucked a small pillow she hadn’t realized he had, directly at her. She threw her hands up and it bounced harmlessly off of her palms, causing her to laugh and lower her hands again. Her eyes widened as he threw open the door. “No, Tarrant, there’s somebody-“ She was too late, however, and she watched helplessly as he yanked open the door …

… And completely barrelled over Harry/Henry.

His yelp and the sight of the two boys flying to the floor caused her to hurry to their sides, her worry evident in her face. I swear, if these two … Three … Are hurt because of this, I’m going to slap them all upside the heads … Especially Tarrant, the idiot that he is …

“Are you two alright?” she asked, holding out her hands to help them both up. She looked at Tarrant for a moment, then at Harry/Henry, and shook her head. “You dummies …” she murmured, crouching down to grab Tarrant’s hat. She rose and offered Harry/Henry a smile. “Hey you guys,” she said in greeting, before turning and walking back into her room, Tarrant’s hat still in her hands. “Tarrant helped me carry my bags back and was waiting for me to finish unpacking,” she explained, grabbing the two pillows and tossing them carelessly onto her bed. They bounced on the middle before stilling, and she turned back around to face the three.

“Don’t tell me you skip class, too,” she chastised, clucking her tongue in disappointment. “I don’t care how smart you are; you still need to go to school!” she insisted, glaring at the three of them. “And I also don’t care if you want to hang out with me. You can’t skip class just to spend time with me,” she said, shaking her head at them. She turned back to her dresser, a soft sigh escaping her lips, and removed a pair of shorts and tank top. “Boys; you can’t live with them, you can’t live without them,” she muttered. “Just give me a sec to change,” she ordered, disappearing into her bathroom.

She quickly returned, dressed in her light blue jeans shorts and her green-and-white tank top. She tossed off her sandals and traded them for a pair of tennis shoes, then moved back over to the boys, plopping Tarrant’s hat on her head and giving him a joking smile. “What do you think? Do I look sexy or not?” she asked playfully, turning and doing a spin in front of her mirror and coming to a stop before her friends, a joking smile on her lips. “I think I look pretty attractive myself,” she grinned, holding the sides of his hat and looking out over the brim at them, seeing as they were taller then her, Tarrant exceptionally so. She smiled at Harry/Henry. “Well?”

Her smile faded, however, when she saw their face. "Harry? Henry? What's wrong?" she asked, releasing the hat and moving over to them, her expression worried and lightly wary. "Your eyes and face are red. Have you been crying?" She moved over to her desk and dug through some drawers, then returned with a box of unopened tissues. She tore back the plastic and tossed it in her trash bin before plucking out a few tissues. She leaned up and wiped at their now-dry cheeks, licked the end of a fresh tissue, and reached up to wipe at the corners of their eyes so that the dried tears wouldn't irritate them and make them itchy. She took their wrist and led them to a beanie bag chair, tugging on them to try and get them to sit. She knelt down beside the chair. "Talk to me, Harry, Henry. Did something happen? Did that psycho Juliana do something to upset you?" she demanded, yet gently. "If she did, I swear, I won't hold back. I don't take people hurting my friends," she said, her voice a bit cold, her eyes hardening. "Just say the word and I'll do something about her."
