"Remember it darling. You will hear it again." Her full name is Madeline Krystilline Hatter [ Mad-el-en | Kreh-still-een | Hat-er ] However, very few people know her by this, and almost no one knows her middle name. Most simply call her Hatter, or The Mad Hatter. Still, there are the rare few, whom she has known for ages, who know her real name, and they will often call her Madeline, Krystal (should they know her middle name), or Madi. Though she uses names like love, darling, or honey often for other people, she doesn't allow them to use them on her, for she finds them insulting.

"Wrap your head around eternity." She's ageless, having been around since the very creation of Wonderland. Madeline doesn't know an exact date of birth, she just knows she can't remember a time where she was not living. Her memory of life is different than most. She doesn't always remember things in correct chronological order so it's hard for her to say exactly how long she's been alive. She could be telling you a story from the seventeenth century and think that it happened yesterday. As for how old she appears, though she may be ageless, she has a physical appearance of nineteen. Don't let this deceive you, her body is very young, but her mind is an eternity old.

"Physical, or personality-wise?" Her best physical feature would have to be her sense of fashion or her eyes. they make her noticed, something she's very fond of. However, Madi'd best personality trait would be the combination of her sharp mind and silver tongue.
Appearance:
"Careful now, looks can be deceiving." Madeline stands at a height of 5'8" and moves with grace, slinking about like a cat. Her balance is exceptional, and she glides everywhere she goes, every movement is made with an easy, smooth, grace. Very rarely will she jerk, or make sudden movements, however, when she does, she executes them quickly and precisely. She carries herself with poise, and sends out a feeling of superiority just by the way she looks at you.
Madi has long blonde hair that slides straight down her back in a silvery platinum wave, nearly white. Depending on how she styles it that day, sometimes is a perfectly straight sheet of silvery white, other times its bouncy, shining ringlets, and still others, it'll be in a wild updo of some sort. However, though her hair is mainly white-blonde, she colors it a lot, and almost everyday, different streaks of her hair are tinted different colors, depending on her clothing that day. Her parted hair sweeps gently across her forehead, touching thick black eyelashes. These eyelashes surround huge violet eyes with over-sized iris's that leave hardly any room for the whites. Looking into her eyes can either be mesmerizing or terrifying, depending on what she wants you to see. There's always a gleam of mischief in her eyes, but here is where you'll also find cold, hard, wisdom. Her body may be young, but her eyes have seen an eternity, and it almost seems to reflect in her gaze.
As for body type, Madi has a thin, delicate form with a defined jaw, criminally high cheekbones, and thin wrists. She may be tall, with long legs, but she's also very dainty and "breakable", even if she's anything but.
When it comes to clothing, she is quite an oddball. She enjoys wild, dramatic fashions, in contrasting colors, with either soft pastels or vibrant hues as accents. Her sense of style gets her noticed, and that is exactly what she goes for. She loves anything that can be described with glitter, lace, corsets, old fashioned, edgy, or unique. As for makeup, this too is always extravagant. She can almost always be seen with decorations painted on her cheeks, eyes, even her forehead, and gems too, she loves to glue onto her skin to accent certain areas, and even has a permanent one, in the shadow of her lower lip, on her chin. Glitter, lipstick, eyeshadow, powder, she goes the whole nine yards. However, even though her appearance is so extravagant, whatever look she's creating that day comes together nicely in a sort of wild way. Finally, as her trademark, you will always see Madeline with some extravagant masterpiece on her head, or pinned in her hair. Her name is Hatter, afterall.

"Have you ever heard the term, sly as a fox?" It's nearly impossible to describe Madeline in one word. The best way to put it, is to say, she merely wants the freedom to do what she wants, to come and go as she pleases, and meddle in the business of others a little too much. She's quite the mischievous one, and loves to cause havoc and disorder wherever she goes. She's the type who never really has side, she simply likes to float between all sides, pitting them against each other and sort of shoving things along in the background.
However, because of the promise she made to the Original King of Wonderland, saying that she would look after the land if he gifted her with agelessness, should it ever come to harm or fall into the wrong hands, she has been forced, for the first time in ages, to step up and claim a spot of authority. Somewhat at least. She is one of the two Rebellion leaders, and though she hates being tied to a side, she hates the idea of any of the current Princes or Princesses gaining control of Wonderland even more, for, should they be able to do so, she would lose her freedom to roam as she pleases. Therefore, she's stepped up to try and create a free Wonderland.
However much Madeline hates being in position of such responsibility, she could not be more cut out for the job. She's never had to be responsible for anyone's wishes, dreams, goals, or lives, but her own, and cannot wait to get it back to that way again, however, she's completely devoted to the cause. She has a quick mind, and an eternity of wisdom to back it up, making her tongue a rather dangerous weapon, as she also has quite the silver tongue. She is naturally deceitful and elusive, able to spin words better than a spider can spin a web, and though she tends not to lie, she usually never tells the whole truth either. If she's informing you of something, she may just give you a small piece of the whole puzzle and what you get is what you get. There is no reasoning with her, and if you try to persuade or bribe her, she simply gets angry, and having her as only half an ally is far better than having her as an enemy.
Though she's cunning, The Mad Hatter is far from perfect. If her nickname says anything about her, it's that she's mad. And while she may not be completely insane, she has small ways of showing that she's not exactly "all there." One of these ways is her temper. She's extremely easy to anger, and in the middle of a tantrum, there is nothing she won't do. Nothing stops her, and she'll tear down the whole world to get revenge. Another way she shows slight madness is through her clothing style, and the way she does things. Madi dresses wildly, in extravagant fashions that the average person would never even dream up. She also makes decisions solely on whim, and, though they're typically good ones, can seem completely random at times, as though they came up from nowhere.
In all, The Mad Hatter is calculating, elusive, and willing to do anything to get what she wants, even if that means stepping up and finally choosing a side.

"You try remembering every detail of an eternity." It would be nearly impossible to list every detail and happening of Madeline's extremely long life, seeing as she's lived for an eternity. However, there are a few things worth mentioning. The first being, how she became the partially mad, immortal being she is.
Nobody knows quite how Wonderland came to be, it just kind of wasn't one minute, and the next it was. At first, there was pure chaos. The land was a dark place, people and creatures roaming free, with no rules or restrictions. Life was very basic. Survive, was your only rule. Madeline was born to a young woman and her husband, Adelia and Harold. At the time, they were living with a small tribe in the mountains. The tribe was one of the more advanced groups, with a more organized system to it. They even had a leader. A strong, wise man.
As Madeline grew, the chaos in the land grew worse, and it was clear that the creatures of the land needed what their tribe had. A leader. Someone strong, and wise, and fair. So their own leader stepped up, and became the original, and first King of Wonderland. His tribe became his court, making Madeline among the first Royals.
The King ruled fairly, but firmly, and the world was organized, yet free. It was bliss. Madeline was sixteen, and living in the palace at the time. She was good friends with the king, even though he was so much older than her, and he could see something in her. A wisdom beyond her years. And, even though she was a little strange, she had the uncanny ability to sway people to her side with a simple sentence from her silver tongue. She was smart, independent, and strong.
So, when the King grew older and still had no sons or daughters, he asked Madeline to take his place after his death. However, to his surprise, she refused. She told him she could never be responsible for so many lives at once. He implored her to reconsider, but she held firm in her decision. So he came up with a compromise. Seeing as he wanted Wonderland to lie in good hands, he gave three individuals the gift of immortality. The two Hatters, and the Cheshire Cat. He told her that he hadn't given her this power free though. It came at a price. This price being that she use it to look after Wonderland in the years to come and make sure it stayed in the right hands, and stayed fair.
Madeline agreed, and ever since, she's always been in the background of every major point in Wonderland history, kind of drifting in the shadows, yet somehow playing a large part through her meddling. She loves to meddle in people's lives, and has always taken a particular interest in royalty, instigating, and bouncing between sides, causing death, betrayals, and sometimes even wars, yet somehow never receiving the blame.
Just recently is the first time since Alice, since she's truly chosen a side. However, due to the role she played in Alice's and the White Queen's rebellion, the people of this new Rebellion seem to trust her more. She is afraid of losing her freedom and power, but there is more to it. Madi is a woman who honors her promises, and she made a promise to the original King, that she'd keep Wonderland in good hands, and that is what she intends to do.
