"And what of it?" he chirped, his face splitting into an overbit grin. "You're no madder than I. Your just in denial, s'what this is. More tea?"
Terry loves a good laugh-- in fact, he's got a hard time not laughing. He tries to be friendly(not just for being friendly, but to get out of the ward on good behavior), but often gets distracted by smaller and apparently more important endeavors. He's got a great pride in his brilliance in riddles, and raves at everyone with his nonsense, much to their dismay. But he's not always as alright as a madman can be-- a good way to get on his bad side is to lock him in or out of something.
Most of Terry's "equipment" was taken from him when he was emitted into the asylum, but he has been allowed to keep with him a small doll's tophat, which he wears to his leisure on occasion.
Born into a family of hatters and tailors, Terrence Topp was fascinated by the world of cloth, of mercury and, more than anything, of making others happy. At a young age, he had offered to and helped his father make hats of all kinds for the people in the small Ireland town they lived in. And, as one could have guessed, the mercury made Terry a little...loopy.
His parents ignored it at first, but as the years passed, he got worse and worse. Their neglect had helped him transform into a full-blown madman; and when he was caught suffocating a one Timothy Penn with a pocketwatch chain, they threw him in Wonder Asylum.
For a good time, now, he's been in there, and knows almost everything about the asylum. Perhaps our new arrival will find her way under his guard...that is, if he isn't chasing ghosts about.
