"Watch me all you want, you won't learn anything. We use the same trade in a way, Regal" Vera smirked at him. "My full name is not Vera but I do well to refuse reveal my full name. My last name is Mason, something I picked up on from my father. Both my parents are dead but I don't remember much of the two of them anymore. I normally keep to the area around the village of Galmis because the scholars there always need extra information. I supposedly have a sister, or that's what my mother's mad ravings on her death bed were, but I've never heard of her. Her name is supposed to be Iza, and she was born across the sea. I came to Doral for a change of scenery as I mostly stay inland. Travelers from the north and south stop here too often for my liking and most of them know about my particular talents the moment they see my eyes. Risky stuff, that is. So I keep away from them and anywhere I may find them." She revealed what she could without giving him too much to go on. She'd used the general term "Galmis" because it was a cluster of villages devoted to science, math, and medicine. She tended to be in the northern one of these little clusters; a collection of four research buildings, a tavern, the open market, and a scattering of houses. But Regal didn't need to know that.

Regal nodded listening. " I'm sorry for your loss." he said. "My folks are long dead as well." He said not wanting to dive much further into that topic. " I have a brother but I've lost track of him, last I heard he was a bandit somewhere up north." He said looking out the window.
"As for you sister if you were meant to find her , you shall, That is how I think things work. How you might get there is up to you."
He shrugged a bit. "I've been to a few of those villages of which you speak, kind people for such a cruel world." He sighed deeply.
[b]"Do you have a place to stay the night?" [/b]he asked hoping she wouldn't take offence.

"I do actually. I have friends in the city" Vera thought back to Tisa, the young woman she'd escorted to the city and visited with since she'd met her three years before. "But we'll say that I'll be back tomorrow morning, correct? Just to work out the last details" She wasn't having any extra connections with clients. Tisa and her sister, Eilia, were exceptions as they had helped Vera out many times during her brief stays in Doral. "I'll be taking my leave, Regal. Nice to be acquainted" Vera stood and walked through the door without another word, heading for the city gates. She was intensely happy that she'd found a real challenge for a job, as hardly anything was fun anymore. There would be no long, exhausting research projects for grumpy old men that couldn't keep their hands to themselves.

Regal nodded " Sounds like a plan, Farewell Vera Mason" He held his cup up to her. " See you in the morning. "
Regal spent the rest of that day working on a plan.

Izalith was waiting by the gate for Vera. She waved.

Vera hesitated a moment. "What exactly are you waiting for" She said as she met the young woman at the gate, her eyes narrowing into violet slits. "If it's...Robert, you're after he isn't with me" She made to pass the woman, raising a passive hand at the three guards manning the gates. Her irritation only grew when the woman followed her onto the main road that lead through the city to the North Gate.
