a character in “World of Wacraft”, originally authored by Saxious, as played by RolePlayGateway

Description

[Justify]Image

Guljin wears nothing heavier or noisier than leather armor. It allows him to move more smoothly and certainly more silently through the wilderness and, since he has often found his sword, or bow, getting stuck in the branches so he straps the two very closely to his body whenever he is traveling. He has decorated himself with small trophies, such as the feathers of rare birds, and trollish amulets.

He is often seen with his tamed and loyal death howl wolf, "Jenko"; needless to say the two share a strong bond formed through patience, care and adventures.

Personality

Being a hunter and having spend the largest majority of his life in the wild, Gulji is primitive and simple minded. He is more focused on the day-to-day business than he is about the larger pictures of anything. He can be described as being ignorant of the world, though he is more experienced as for how to survive in the wilds than anyone else who isn't a hunter.
He cares deeply for Jenko, and it is not uncommon to see Guljin talk to his companion as if they understood one another; whether it is due to prolonged loneliness or whether it is because Guljin has actually found a pattern in the animal language it is yet to be known.

The news of war is something which Guljin finds greatly disturbing. He always knew about the tension between the Horde and the Alliance, however a full-scale war between the two was something he never expected and never hoped for. He fears for the wild life and the disturbance of the world balance.

Equipment

Guljin is armed with a bow, various arrows, traps and a great sword which he uses with two hands. He wears only leather armor and he brings along various small tools to patch together holes and damages to his armor.

History

Guljin was born amongst trolls in the Horde. He found his calling to the wild from an early age and soon left the tribe to live his life amongst the wild animals, he has only returned to civilization whenever he had something to trade or he needed something his weapons repaired or more arrows.

So begins...

Guljin sniffed the air and felt deeply relieved. The stench of Booty Bay was now gone, and certainly of all cities he had been to, Booty Bay was perhaps the most disliked city of all. It stank of sweat, fish and humans. Giljin was simply too used to the freshness of the wilderness, not the cramped and disease filled taverns. No he belonged outside such facilities, out where he could sleep beneath open skies and where it was skills, not coins, that made you a king.

He followed the main road to an extent and took shortcuts through the jungle whenever he knew that the road would take him on a detour. He knew that Strangelhorn Vale was a dangerous place; the many feuding troll clans, the wild animals and even the fearsome ogres were something he would prefer to avoid without proper preparations.

Guljin came within sight of the arena. The wind shifted, bringing a scent with it, something dead. Guljin checked on Jenko and as he suspected, his loyal companion had lowered its ears, signaling that it was ready to attack if something posed a threat.
Following suit, Guljin strapped an arrow to his bow and captiously made his way up to the entrance. He heard someone talk, though he couldn’t make out names or if it was someone he knew.

He moved into view, a bold move by his standards, but he sighed in relief when he saw who it was and placed the arrow back in the quiver. “Makbu, Jenko. Mkabu.” The wolf eased and raised its ears hallway, though Jenko still eyed Zylith with a suspicious eye.

“Sorry, mon. Jenko not likez when da dead be standing again,” Guljin said with his thick Trollish accent. Guljin moved closer to the two though his instincts told him to keep some distance. Guljin may not be in favor for war between the Horde and the Alliance, however the dark history between the Trolls and the Elves still made him have some resentment towards them, dead or alive.

Arsona waited silently as the first, Zylith arived. She smiled at her and made a bow. ''Welcome back. Yes, I have the map, and studied it,'' she said as Zyrith entered. She turned back around to wait or the other members to come to it.

The next to arrive was Guljin. She smiled gently, keeping an eye on the troll but not making a move or her sword. ''Welcome Guljin. Don't worry, no one will hurt you here,'' she said as she made yet another bow or the troll. Until so far, everything seemed to go well, and everyone seemed to be coming. Now to wait for the others

She changed into the pure white leopard form she had and sat down before the entrance, watching Zylith talk to Guljin, she kept an close eye on them for if it went wrong. But in general, most of the time, everything went alright, and she was glad about that. She didn't want any of the members get hurt now, just hoped that everything went alright. She was ready to get them apart of a fight would break lose and calm them down, but until then, she guarded the entrance and waited for the others to arrive.

Guljin returned a small nod to Arsona, acknowledging her as his political and military leader, though not as a friend, that was till her sudden transformation to a pure white leopard. “Wat voodoo is dis?” he exclaimed, clearly unaccustomed to magical powers. Trolls were known to be superstitious, and Guljin clearly wasn’t outside the stereotype, carrying totems and amulets of Trollish and Orcish origins.

His attention was quickly turned back to Zylith who approached him. Guljin’s reaction to that sudden move was purely feral, his ears lowered and his eyes narrowed, clearly showing dislike. To make it slightly worse, he made use of his height, straightening his otherwise bend back and broadening his shoulders to make himself appear bigger.

“Politiks and dat be above me. Alliance and Horde be suppose to work together against him Lich King, but I see many fight ano - ” Guljin stopped when he heard that Zylith had had a relationship with a troll for four years. It literally made him shiver. What form of dignity-less troll would love someone who was already dead? Something must have been wrong with that Troll.

Guljin lowered himself and took a step back. “War takes dem we love the most. Sacrifices are demanded and given. Some knows that better than others.” Guljin of course wasn’t including himself, he still felt a thorn in his heart whenever he thought of his once loved steed he lost in Northrend. Not willing to see it raised back from the dead Guljin chopped his raptor steed to pieces and scattered the pieces.

Guljin had been with the Horde since Thrall had rescued the Darkspear Tribe, and fought for the Horde, as a scout, ever since the end of war he has spend years isolating himself in the wild, only returning to military duty when the Horde sailed to Northrend.

Guljin took a few steps away from Zylith, finding her presence uncomfortable. She had aready brought a lot of doubts to his mind about the world. Could the living and the dead really get along? Were there more to the Forsaken? So far he had only heard horrible tales about them, many which he had readily believed, though Zylith had now casted a small shadow of doubt on these tales.

Zylith felt a strange pain in her chest. Obviously it was sorrow that she was distrusted.

She removed her hood, revealing a beautiful face. "Guljin, I understand your hatred towards me and my race, but you need to get over it. The forsaken have feelings too." She hissed, clenching her fists in anger. She glared at him when he shivered. "I'll have you know, I lived in Durotar and then Thunder Bluff to get away from all of my race." She stopped slouching herself, and stood up fully. As an elf, she was naturally tall - Maybe an inch off of Guljin. "I mean the Forsaken - None of us chose to be corpses. We all suffered, while your race was showered with praise from the Orcs."

"You better watch your tone around me, Troll." She hissed again, her eyes like light blue flames of rage. She took a step back, and shook her head. "I apologise for the sudden anger. I'll be back in a moment... I need some air." She muttered, barging past Guljin and Arsona.

She sat out on a small patch of grass, and took deep breaths to calm herself down.

Arsona sighed and looked at Guljin. ''Go on, go inside and wait there for the other members,'' she said and walked away to talk to Zylith. She sat down beside Zylith and looked up at the blue sky. ''Are you alright Zylith? You know we can always talk,'' she said, looking at Zylith with a small smile, a bit worried though.

She knew Horde and Alliance didn't go together quite well and her Guild often had small fights, but normally, they solved it without violence or fighting. She proved that Horde and Alliance could live together, side by side, and talk things over if needed. She made the Guild to prevent the war, or to stop it if it would start. She would give her life for that.

Zylith sat in silence for a few moments, before sighing. "Yeah. Something is wrong, Arsona." She muttered, taking out a small Music Box.

"For somewhere where death roams, and the stench of gore and corpses fills the air - It's too... Happy." She whispered, opening the music box and a strange tune came out. "As a Night Elf, you probably understand Thalassian and old Thalassian, correct?"

She took a deep breath to fill her dead lungs, and opened her mouth to sing the Lament of the Highborne. Her voice as beautiful as the Banshee Queen, Sylvanas'.

"Anar'alah, Anar'alah belore

Skalm Herzen

Red eyes were really obvious to see in the guild hideout - Mainly because of the lack of red. A Forsaken laugh echoed through the cave. "Good job, Guljin." A croaky voice laughed, emerging from the shadows. Skalm always was a secret one. "You got her to sing. I've been trying for ages." He laughed, giving him a very bone-revealing thumbs up. "Oh, yeah. You don't like corpses do you?" He muttered, taking his head off and putting it closer to his. "Well, you should. I can do this and you can't, Mister Troll. Hehe ~"

Guljin nodded at Arsona’s instructions and turned to leave when Skalm appeared. Jenko immediately began to growl at the undead rogue’s appearance, warning the undead to keep its distance, though Skalm appeared to pay no heed to Jenko’s hostile behavior.

“You keep dat face out me head, mon,” Guljin responded as he pushed the head away from his face, then he looked at Jenko who needed but one excuse to bite him. “Makbu, Jenko!” Guljin called, he understood that Jenko was only trying to protect him, however t the moment, he was being too hostile. It also explained the confused looked he got from his wolf, so Guljin walked in and sat at the table, fetching out a piece of meat for his friend to enjoy while he and the others would discuss the plans for stopping the war.
