Setting
Selda nodded at his reply and gave him a small smile. “Oh, I’m sorry. I would have picked a different forest if I’ve known. We could make some good memories today if you like. Also, I will need to let Zoron know there were no hilarious results,” she paused and kept herself from smiling. “Thank you for the compliment on my outfit though.” She glanced at the red hatchling and cleared her throat softly.
“Go follow Zermanion little one. I think he found something,” she told it.
"New memories are always good. The bad ones are so dark and grim, I don't even remember what went on here to begin with to make them so bad." He explained a small bit. He looked around the forest and thought about everything so far. He smiled silently as he thought about the day Zoron found him in those woods. He chuckled lightly as he watched the red hatchling follow Zermanion, reflecting on the day he first went hunting.
"Make sure to make a clean kill you two."
Selda smiled and rubbed Maelthra's side. She rolled her eyes when he told the dragons to make a clean kill. "Well, at least you can't remember them, but hopefully nothing bad happens while we are here. If it does then grabbed the dragons and run back to your home. I'll stay and fight or do whatever I may have to do. Also, the red one is practicing, don't put pressure on it to make a clean kill. Zermanion will make a clean kill so no worries," she said. She removed her hand from Maelthra's side and walked ahead a little. She turned around to look at Maelthra. Selda smirked at me. "Shall we play a game and see who can catch a boar first?" she asked.
Maelthra smiled at Selda before nodding his head. "You're on. What's the wager if either of us win this bet?" Maelthra asked. If it was going to be a game, then by natural law, Maelthra wanted stakes in his game. What happens if he won, what would happen if Selda won? It was all the fun stuff that Maelthra lived for. He loved games, he liked stakes in games. And he most certainly liked winning if the prize was good.
Selda rolled her eyes and laughed softly. "I don't know, we would just get the pleasure of winning and I think that'd be enough," she paused to smirk at Maelthra,"But, if that doesn't work for you, if I win...how about we take a trip someplace for a whole week and you can't do any work at all while we are there?" She laced her fingers behind her head and smiled at Maelthra.
"How about if you win? What do you want?" she asked. "A mistress?" she added jokingly. Next she glanced behind her as she watched the dragons for a few seconds. She then looked back at Maelthra as she waited to hear his answer.
Maelthra looked at Selda. He smirked silently. "Alright, I know a few good vacation spots around here and that will be enough." He said with a small smirk. "If I win, well, how about you tell me something about yourself I don't already know?" Maelthra stated as he gave a smile.
He knew that seemed like a cheap prize but he didn't want to have a mistress yet. Not unless he truly cared for the person who would be the mistress. That would be his only exception.
"Deal and I hope you are happy if you win as my answer could not be what you want to hear. You should choose your prizes more wisely...anyhow," she stopped talking and quickly walked away in search for a boar. She stopped a few minutes later as she took in a deep breath to see if she could smell one. Selda rolled her eyes when she could not and began to look for footprints or anything else that would give her a hint. 'I should go find a water source...Zermanion should make sure the red dragon doesn't get in trouble and is safe,' she mused. She ran her fingers through her hair as she moved a few broken branches.
"One thing you should know Selda. I stink at hunting." Maelthra stated with a small smile. "So I hope you catch one first because I do feel I need to take a vacation." He began to wander around, trying to find at least a good trail of boar tracks. He would have to be crafty and creepy. He then heard the sound of small running feet and a squeaky roar, followed by a crunch.
"The hatchling must've caught the rabbit." He said to himself.
Selda turned around to look at Maelthra and frowned. "How about we just say I won then and go on a vacation? I don't feel like playing if I know I am like going to win because the person sucks at something," she said. She slowly turned around and jogged up to Maelthra. "Does that sound like a plan to you?" she asked. Though, she stopped and turned her head as she watched Zermanion run after a group of small baby boars. 'I wonder how long it will take for the parents to start chasing Zermanion,' she mused as a sigh escaped her lips. She looked at the hatchling.
"Don't follow Zermanion hatchling. He is trying to get himself killed," she yelled out.
Maelthra pulled back an arrow and shot at the Boar's legs.
