Yarn drew heavy breaths as she began her own march through the dense forest that lay on the sides of the city currently experiencing a war within itself. Independence, what a funny concept to Yarn. She just wanted money. Yarn shook her head, she felt the planets powerful winds smacking the visible parts of her face. Her bright blue eyes able to scan out the and feel the landscape ahead. Yarn noticed a fence and made her way to it. Her eyes widened as she saw the amassing army heading toward the remaining forces. They wouldn't stand a chance against those numbers, but she had to get the leader. She had a mission, Yarn was going to complete that mission. She closed her eyes and scanned around her. She then proceeded to squat for a moment then launch herself into a flip and over the fence.

Yarn steadied her breathing, and took slow, silent steps behind a building that the Dahl army was passing. She went in the opposite direction as them, until she found an opening in the building a broken window. She dove in and made her way to the highest floor. She saw bodies of children at her feet when she made it to the top. Yarn looked sadly at the wrecked room. It almost brought tears to the hardened woman's eyes. This war was stupid, but it was good money. She shook her head and got back to business. She saw an open window and crawled her way onto the roof.

Yarn gazed at the entire force that must have been hidden from these people this whole time. Marching at the front were the brutes, whom started to turn the corner. Behind the brutes were smaller soldiers, and behind them were sickening looking creatures with rifles. Behind them she saw her target. The one leading the forces. He was a sickening greenish color, but clearly once a human. He had skin that looked as if it was falling off in chunks. His dull black eyes formed permanently into a scowl. He had no hair and his nose was missing. He wore a torn black shirt with claw marks down the center. His black pants now ripped into a pair of shoddy shorts. He was surrounded by the elite of the group.

Yarn hated looking at these creeps. They made her sick. She readied her throwing knife that she pulled from her waist. The knife was carved from a tree back at her home planet. Made for war, funny how even the most peaceful of races prepared for the Dahl. The Knife was the size that could perfectly fit into a grown mans hand. She turned her back for a moment so the winds pushed against it. She pulled a match from her trench coat and lit it, and first time it went out. She threw it at her feet and pulled another. It went out immediately again. She pulled out her third one and it lit like a charm. She pressed it against the blade and moved to the top of the roof. Visible to the army, who still haven't noticed her.

Yarn sucked in a deep breath and focused. She brought a foot forward and carefully used it to steady herself. She stared down at her target, moving away from her now. She used her steady hand to do a graceful spin on her left toe and toss is with a flick of her wrist. She watched it fly and hit the back of the Targets neck. Before he could react the bark exploded. Yarn had cut it far to close this time. She shook her head and pulled out a radio. The winds overshadowed the voices currently coming out, but she pressed the button to speak anyhow. "Yarn has neutralized the target. Yarn returns now for warm milk and cookies to watch you defeat their leaderless forces. They have more coming from the South-east division where I am. Ready yourselves." She brought the radio to her hear waiting for a response. She got nothing after a while. She spoke again. "Hello? This is Yarn can you hear Yarn?"

Yarn was about to press it again when she brought to her ear as she heard a familiar click. A shaky voice spoke. "They surrounded us. Yarn get off the planet, we've lost. You got your credits. If you ever see my wife, tell her" He started sobbing heavily "Tell her that I-" The man was cut off by a screech that was followed by his own scream and the mic going dead. Yarn dropped the radio and stood speechless. They outsmarted us? Yarn was sure she got the right target unless, she was to get more than one? Yarn shook her head and started sprinting. She jumped off the roof and crossed over the fence. She heard rustling in the bushes behind her and broke into a sprint. She finally saw her ship come into view and jumped into it. A small ship, but she turned it on and closed the cock pit. She saw them coming, a whole mess of them. Coming for Yarn. She ignited the engine and started flying. She didn't stop until she was past the next planet. She turned off her engine and held her hands to her head. "Yarn...failed those people. Failed her friends?" Yarn then broke into a quiet sob, wishing she had done a better job. She'd grown so close to those people only to have them get murdered by those monsters. "Damn this war..." She shivered and lay her head against the head rest of her seat. Tired she sobbed until she fell asleep, floating in space.

After Several hours of sitting in her ship hyperventilating Yarn calmed down. She did what she always did in this situation after calming down. Talk to herself. "Yarn is okay now, Yarn did what she had to and got paid for it. Yarn did good! Yarn should call her employer now. Yarn will!" She smiled and then pressed a few multi-colored buttons on her ship until a ringing started going through her ship. She Saw the image flicker and and a short, fat angry faced red man popped up before her. He wore a red shirt that was far to short for him, and a pair of pants that had a bit of poof to them. He had no shoes. At his waist were two large pistols. "Hello Yarn-"

She was cut off as the large man screeched at her. "YARN! You idiot! I told you how important that mission was, didn't I? I told you failure was not an option! Didn't I?! WHAT DID YOU DO WRONG?!"

Yarn had shielded her face as if she expected to get hit. "But Yarn did what she was told! Yarn killed her objective like she had to! Yarn thought she'd won, but Yarn was mistaken ca-" Cut off again the fat man growled.

"Listen here Yarn, Not only are you costing me a fortune, but you've single handedly failed a planet! Your useless! Finished! And I've already put a bounty on your head and told all my contacts that you purposefully sabotaged the mission. I trust you'll be dead before the moon rises here." A sick grin spread across his lips. "You messed up Yarn, you stepped on my toes. Now I am gonna step on your neck. Good bye.." He spat venomously before disappearing.

Yarn was speechless. A million things floated through Yarns head and she couldn't quite figure anything out. Yarn needed to get away, so Yarn turned on the ignition in her Ship. She started flying in a random direction and before she left the system she found herself staring up at a large ship. Military in look. With her ship that gave off signs of detection rather easily she decided to follow in its trail, she'd likely be safe behind a military ship. Nothing could go wrong. Yarn is such a genius sometimes she surprises herself, Yarn thought with such confidence.

The plant woman let out a sigh, what an unlucky streak she was experiencing. She looked at the large ship that flew in front of her. It moved so slowly, how boring. Yarn hoped for something exciting, but that never happened. Yarn never gets to experience the good luck. The woman thought why she decided to live this life. She didn't have to do any of this, but she thought it'd be exciting. Yarn learned much to fast that the world of adventure was deadly to the unlucky. Yarn's thoughts were interupted bya beeping on her communicator. She pulled it from her pack and answered. "This is Yarn, how can Yarn help?" The woman was suprised to see none other than the Gifted Mother of her planet appear. The one who is said to have brought on the production of her race, the leader, and guide to the Oak Hearts. The one who was the most sad to hear of Yarn leave. Everyone just calls her Mother though.

The gentle voice spoke with a smile. "Hello Sapling, I trust your travels treat you well? When are you coming home to visit? Your people, especially your caretakers, miss you a great deal." The woman opened her arms as if waiting for yarn to jump through and hug her.

Yarn spoke normally, in her language she could articulate properly. Common language was a whole other mess of trouble entirely."Mother, I am having a not so great journey. To come back would be putting all of you in potential danger, I am in trouble. I wish not to trouble my people because of my unlucky, and headstrong nature."When talking to her own people Yarn was easily one of the most intellectually powerful peoples there was. Yarn gave a weak smile from behind her mask.

Mother's face turned to one of complete worry. "Oh dear! We can protect you, just tell me what you have done. We will understand and try to talk things over with them, okay?" The woman's look of worry turned to a smile of hope.

Yarn shook her head. She let out a sigh. "Mother, I must do this alone. That is why I left. I can handle myself, truly. If I do not make it home by the next Vunters Eve, assume I am dead. Otherwise you can expect my visit then." She returned her own strong, but hopeful smile.

Mother smiled and giggled. No one ever talked to her as casually as Yarn did. Which is saying something, considering the person she was talking to. "I trust you dear, and I just KNOW we will see you then. I must go now! The harvest comes soon, and you know what that means. Good bye~" With that the woman dissapeared, leaving Yarn alone. In a cold, dark spaceship. Bored once more. Yarn let out a sigh and stared at the ship ahead of her. Eventually, something exciting will happen. Something lucky, something that will be in Yarns favor. At least, that is what she hoped.
