When Lust split themselves, Lux alone inherited Baphomet. Baphomet gifted her with his eyes, leaving a tattoo of a skull on her finger which allows Baphomet (and thus, Lux) see through it's eyes. Loneley, Ria created her familiars herself from her own essence. She divided them in two, their joined form too unstable for her to sustain. Most were familiar with Serket, a benevolent creature who spent her days whispering in Ria's ear, placed just below her ear. Serket was Ria's first line of defense, her sting delivering a psychodelic drug into her victim's blood stream, creating a hallucinogenic state that Ria controls. Hedetet, however, is not nearly as kind. She keeps close to Ria's heart, very protective of her master. Her aim wasn’t to kill, it was to destruct. Her sting delivering the deadliest venom unknown to man, one of brimstone. As it circulated through their blood stream, it incinerated them from the inside out. Ria prefers not to use such drastic measures, but often Hedetet takes it upon herself to appear. Their final form was achieved as one, Isis. Her top half dark like the night sky with an alabaster underbelly with one black tail and one white one. Her power as one was incomparable to either of her other forms, one of such blind destruction that Ria made sure that she rarely came out. In fact, Isis has only emerged four times in all of Ria's life, and only in moments of absolute peril. Because of their shared bond of her familiars being molded from herself, the great amount of energy that Isis uses leaves Ria's body destroyed, once taking months for her to fully recover. For this reason, Isis hasn't taken form for many, many years.

"Destruction, hence, like creation, is one of Nature’s mandates." – Marquis de Sade

Her face was like the ones you saw in paintings, the type that made you fall in love, the muse that had inspired masterpieces across generations. She was lust after all, and all the best pieces of them if you asked her. Ria had been painted with a different palette than her twin, all rich browns and golds. Dark eyes stared out with flecks of curiosity, fringed with full luscious lashes. If her stare wasn’t spell binding enough, her full pouty lips would draw you in. Her hands wore ornate rings, one finger tattooed with the skull of a goat. Sun kissed tawny skin stretched across her lithe figure, she was all long lines and full curves. Her hair was the color of the rich dark earth, silky strands falling just below her shoulders. It fell just long enough to obscure the tattoo below her right ear, a black scorpion. She had one more, a scorpion outline just below the outline of her breast. Her body was temptation incarnate, with heaving breasts and hips that swayed like there was music always playing. Everything she wore was carefully thought out, tailored to fit her figure perfectly. Most of her wardrobe was the same shade of black, although she had a splash of red and even some cream colored items. Filled with leather, lace and latex – her wardrobe always made a statement.

"Luxury, lavish of her ruined fame, Loose-haired, wild-eyed, her voice a dying fall, Lost in delight...." - Prudentius

† A force producing an intense wanting or longing such as the lust for sexuality, love, money or power. †

† Beguiling Aura: Even the mortals with the fiercest volition feel her pull. Lesser demons are putty in her hands, even vices can be affected.
† Venom Induced Hallucinations: Serket administers the venom, creating hallucinations which Ria has full control over - ranging from total bliss to literal torture. Mortals are powerless, for her fellow Princes of Hell it can serve as a recreational drug.
† Fire and Brimstone: She can manifest and control flames, Hedetet possesses the brimstone.

L I M I T A T I O N S

† Lux: Have you heard the phrase, "wears their heart on their sleeve"? Try wearing it in another body that gets into all types of shit. Ultimately, all she cares about is herself - and that includes Lux. He is her ultimate weakness, the only thing outside of herself that is irreplaceable. If his life was at risk, there's nothing she wouldn't do.

A monument to luxury, Ria acquired the castle several centuries back. Every room had been meticulously decorated at one time or another - although some rooms lay in ruins now. Many battles have been fought within their castle walls, leaving some rooms just heaps of rubble. The rooms that remain intact are pure decadence. Few are allowed within the castle, although Lux takes it upon himself to bring whoever he wants. There are two stairs leading underground on two opposite ends of the castle. The East stairs going down lead to a glorious natural hot spring styled as roman baths. The Western stairs are behind a locked door, one no average lock pick can open. It leads to a a strange room, the only exit a strange path leading eventually to an altar for their rituals.

Ria remembered the time before she had been split from her other half. They had been cursed with paradoxical desires, too much for one vessel to contain. When they had ripped themselves in two, it was as if they both had existed all along; as if every memory, impulse, desire they had ever had as one had always been at the hand of these two opposite forces. It took literally losing a piece of herself to feel whole, and yet she felt lonelier than ever. He was made up of all the pieces she hated most about herself, and yet she couldn’t live without him. The void within grew, she was insatiable. At least now she could play with their food before Lux ate it.

Unlike most creatures in the Underworld, Ria saw value in humans. Their desires were intoxicating, so much chaos teeming within them just waiting to bubble over. The right human under her control could cause much more destruction than any one demon. She chose them carefully, it took a special kind of mortal to sate her thirst. There was always a spark within that she could sense from miles away. A desire that went beyond an average human, something that she could nurture into an all-consuming wild fire. Mortals were helpless to her charm, even being around her gave them heart palpitations. She was lust incarnate, every inch of her was temptation.

Mortals idolized her, begged to serve her, treated her as a goddess among men. It was the type of adoration no demon was capable of feeling. Ria always detested demons, they were such savage creatures. Some of them were fun to kill, however – so she supposed they were good for something. Not that she didn’t enjoy killing humans, they just didn’t pose much of a challenge. Despite her aversion for the more sadistic end of sin, that didn’t mean she didn’t indulge from time to time. She just enjoyed the foreplay much, much, much longer than most. There was no sweeter taste than the heart of a lover and, if she timed it out right she could eat it while they watched taking their last breath.

Her fancies with humans often happened in phases, anywhere from a few months to a few centuries between each lover. Normally she’d hear the call of their desire during the turn of an era or during the start of a revolution, like a prayer in the night. She’d have her fun, then return when they’d die or bore her, usually with a caravan of treasures to fill her catle with. The castle was more than a place to return to, it was a monument to luxury. Each room she made with absolute decadence, every embellish extravagant. She even had a roman bath carved out below the castle where she could spend her nights, soaking.

Every now and again she would find a tasty mortal who would pledge themselves into her servitude. She would take them back to her castle and dressed them like they were her dolls. They’d follow Ria around the castle constantly in a state of fear and awe, over time driven mad with desire. Lux and Ria had that effect on mortals. Most of their duties included cleaning her massive castle, though they’d please her as she saw fit. Unfortunately, Lux would end up eating them all, much to her distaste. If Ria was feeling rambunctious, she’d wait until she saw the hunger in his eyes and swap the mortal out for a much less attractive one, just to watch him throw a fit. They enjoyed antagonizing one another, the manifestation of self-loathing.

Better she be in her castle or by a lover’s side than any other way. The happier Ria was, the better off it was for everyone. A frustrated Ria was dangerous, but an angry one was deadly. She wasn’t one to just start thrashing about either. She was cold and calculating, each strike was precise. Any one who came between her and her desires would meet a fiery end.

H I S T O R Y

Ria had perfect recollection of the moment of her conception. Lust had ripped itself in two, forming two incarnates of the vice itself, the desire was all consuming for just one to hold. It was then that Luxuria became Lux and Ria, dividing its desire into the two vessels. Two sides of the same coin, ever on opposite ends. Still, they couldn’t be more different.

While Lux sought to sate his hedonistic desires, Ria turned her nose at such barbaric whims. She wanted luxury, to be idolized, to be desired. She chose her lovers carefully, only selecting the most worthy of suitors. They tended to be men and women of great status, although she had taken several starving artists in their day. All across the world she appeared in the history of the mortal world. She had at different times been a muse that inspired many pieces from the Renaissance; the mistress of a Czar, a duchess in France, and even a Queen in a long forgotten empire in what is now known as the Mediterranean. She kept relics from her previous lives, trophies for her times of great influence and power. She even kept those of sentimental value from some of her greatest loves. Most of them were kept behind lock and key, though the most precious were hidden where no one – not even Lux could find them.

See unlike her other half, Ria held a gentle affection for humanity – at least the handful she took as her own. Sure, Lux had his pets, but to Ria they were more than that. More than anything she wanted to be L O V E D, the type that no demon was capable of feeling. No, the all-consuming and epic love that she craved was the sorts they told in epics, ones that revolutionized romance itself. She’d had many of these great loves in her life, each one grander than the last. There was a fire within each one of them that she could sense from leagues away. Men and woman of great passion and desire, calling her to consume them whole. She’d become their everything as they became hers, destroying anything that came in the path of their love. Wars had been waged over her love, cities flattened, empires overthrown and all without her so much as batting an eyelash.

Still, even love stories grew boring. Eventually she’d become boring, having to add some passion to her story. Sometimes she’d just leave, letting them believe she’d been kidnapped and watch as they wreaked havoc trying to find her. Other times they’d annoy her enough that she’d bring them home to meet her other half and let him have his fun. The best ones usually died before she could bore of them, although maybe that’s what made them the best. There had been one – a prince, who she loved more than any other. He was the only one who ever knew her, knew what she was. It only made him love her more. Together they had lived in pure ecstasy, and when he began to age he asked if there was some way to make him immortal she searched for a way. But there wasn’t one, at least not one that would leave him as the man we was. He’d be like her, a monster.

He asked her to go through with it insisting that nothing could change his love for her. She had refused, he didn’t understand what he was giving up she insisted. All he heard was that she didn’t want to stick around an eternity with him, banishing her from his sight. Any other human she would have eaten his heart out within an instant, but had always been a special case. She had to choose; turn him, strip him of his humanity the very thing she loved most about him, and risk losing him to the seedy underbelly of the world, or; leave while he was still the man she loved. She chose the latter.

Still, it wasn’t just about epic love, at least not all the time. In between her grand love stories, Ria spent her days in luxury. She didn’t want a house, she wanted a castle, decadent and expensive. She wanted wall paper with golf leaf patterns, ceilings that rivaled the Sistine Chapel, beds covered with expensive linens. It wasn’t hard finding the place, if only she could keep Lux from destroying it all. She wasn’t entirely innocent, they loved provoking one another. Ria could barely keep up, she was constantly remodeling the house, much to Lux’s distaste. Entire wings of the castle were still covered in ash, walls mere rubble. Staying apart wasn’t an option, it just wasn’t.

Ria put up with the gore and hedonism Lux brought into the house, even designed rooms tailor made for his hedonistic desires. It didn’t stop him from fucking on the Persian carpet she dubbed a “no-fuck zone”. It wasn’t all bad though, after all he completed her, quite literally – and she him.
